Had to wait for the site to come back before I could finish this one. Then I had to rewrite this all by hand which took a few days. (Not including the days when I had work.) 34 pages, 13.5+ k of story on Word.

Here we go for St. Patrick's day. Lucas, the 2nd youngest of the Bentleys, gets his shot this time around. The shy young man with a split personality needs to find the courage to talk to the woman of his dreams: an Army Staff SGT who faced death and lived to tell about it. No problem, right?

I had a lot of fun writing the fight scenes in this one.

Idea for Indigo and Infra, Savannah cat siblings, came from my overseas friend Grey Tail. Check out some of his works: https://grey-tail.sofurry.com/

Update: Damn! Looking back at this I spotted quite a few mistakes! Well... I ain't perfect.

"Welcome, everyone!" Erik called into his microphone to his patrons. The gruff Rottweiler looked pretty silly with his leprechaun outfit and sparkly clover antennae bobbing around over his head. He scanned around his tavern to see every table filled with customers. The place was usually full but today it was wall to wall packed with four people waiting behind the bar. "Welcome to my St. Patty's Day Bonanza!"

"Who says 'Bonanza' anymore!" someone yelled.

Erik looked over at the person knowing exactly who spoke up. "I believe your tab is up in a couple of days." The whole tavern chuckled shutting the person up. "It's been 15 years on this day that I opened my tavern. The people. The stories they've shared. The atmosphere was better than anything I could have hoped for. A year after I opened my doors, I got to thinkin' 'what could I do to celebrate?' And then it hit me. Here we are with the 14th annual St. Patty's Six Shooters!" The place roared to life with cheer as a waiter walked out the back room with a tray in each arm holding 18 shot glasses each making a total of 36 filled with a green liqueur. He almost missed a step making his load shake.

"Careful with those, Lucas," Erik warned. "I don't wanna have to make another batch so soon."

The 26 year old regained his footing. "No... no problem here! Just practicing my balancing act." He gently places the trays down on the bar and starts passing the shots around in groups of six. Two groups sat in front of empty spaces while one group sat in front of Collin, a young Irish lad who Lucas and his brothers met at a ski resort the previous month.

"Well done, son! The shots that he's passing out are my secret blend. There's only one other person who knows the recipe, and he's not talkin'. Are ya, Lucas?"

Lucas looks back to his boss of one month and flatly says, "You're not going to toss a campfire marshmallow to gum up my mouth, are you?" The whole tavern busts up in a storm of laughter from his counterattack. "I'm just surprised you found a way to fit a whole pipe bomb in a shot glass!"

Lucas looks across the room to a booth and spots his brothers laughing and having a good time. Mark, the youngest, had his face planted on the table with his fist pounding the table as he laughed. Matt, the second oldest, was leaning against his now steady girlfriend, Roxy, a Bernese Mountain Dog morph the brothers met when they went skiing who looked like she never heard anything so funny in her life. Jacob, on the other hand, sat there quietly with the smile he usually had. Of course, being brothers, he could tell that his smile was directing confidence to the normally shy third born of the brothers.

At their table sat Gabriel, a blue Ancient Dragoness, who had just sat down with the brothers to support Collin in his first ever contest. Her mostly humanoid features were very unique even among dragons. When she hatched in Collin's arms she was born with fiery red hair similar to his along with his mild Irish accent.

"Okay, okay, settle down, everyone," Erik said wiping a tear from his eye. "The challenge is a simple one. Stay on your feet while downing all six shots. Last one standing during a field sobriety test with the lowest score gets a free pass and free ride home. The losers have to pitch in for the drinks, but second place has to pay the cab drivers for the other contestants. Performing the sobriety tests today will be from our local law enforcement. Give a big hand for Officer McKnight." Everyone gave their applause to the officer sitting at the bar.

Lucas took the trays he was using and set them down at the end of the bar. He moved behind the counter taking his place next to the other contestants in front of his group of shots. He looked over to see a familiar face who wasn't only a regular at the tavern but also been in the contest a few times.

"Think you got a shot this time, Kung Fu Drunky?" he asked.

Lucas gave him a small smirk. "I take that as a complement. None of us will stand up during the test for very long but I can still drink you under the table. Hey, Collin, good to see you. I hope you take third."

Collin looked across to Lucas. "Third?! I'm takin' the top spot!"

"We got a couple fresh new faces this year and some old," Erik called.

"Speaking of old faces," the player next to Lucas said, "where's our 'reigning champion?'"

Lucas started to feel a bit of anger bubble up from his gut. The guy had some nerve to talk about her like that. He didn't know her! But then again neither did he. However, given the position she use to have he held a profound respect for her. He thought about clocking the guy in the back of his head. But just as he was about to raise his hand the door chimed signaling somebody coming in.

"Sorry I'm late," a woman called from the door. She was a lithe feline in a military jacket. Her golden eyes made her look cute in the face against her light brown and spotted fur, but the air about her virtually commanded authority. Her brunet hair was pulled tight against her head in a large braid going down to her waist.

Back at the Bentley's table, Roxy watched the cat walk in with a cane in one hand. She seemed to favor her right leg as her cane held up that side. A scent caught Roxy's attention pulling her eyes away to find the source. It belonged to Lucas but it was mixed with more anxiety than usual. A lot more. She looked at him only to see that his attention was squarely on the new woman.

"And there she is," Mark said taking a swig of his drink.

"Who is that woman?" Roxy asked.

"To Lucas, she is his muse, his flame. Whenever she's around he gets very weak in the knees."

Jacob cleared his throat getting Mark to stop in his tracks. "What Mark is trying to say is that her name is Indigo. She's an Army Staff Sergeant who served three tours in Iraq. She was medically discharged due to shrapnel in her right thigh. She's who Lucas has been crushing on for the last few years when she just showed up out of the blue and totally dominated the competition. My guess is she left her base and came here to live the quiet life."

"Is she a regular here?" Roxy asked watching Indigo move behind the bar.

"Only on this day," Matt pointed out. "Lucas there actually won the year before she showed up. And since then, second place. He's been trying to win not only for himself but to get her attention."

"I think you mean 'affection,'" Mark said being funny yet serious.

"That too."

As Indigo moved over to her spot, everyone moved back allowing the veteran space both for her disability and for honor. She gave each person an "excuse me," but when she crossed in front of Lucas, she stood there for a moment looking up at him giving him an alluring smile. His head immediately turned a rather nice shade of red. His eyes were locked onto the feline only to give her a slow nod as his voice was seized up in his throat while sweat was starting to form on his forehead and cheeks. His mind was so locked up that he almost missed the way her striped tail gently hooked the inside of his thigh coming dangerously close to his groin.

Lucas could hear his other self groan in disappointment. He could have at least said "Hi."

"Hey, Matt," Mark called to his bother in all seriousness, "no nosebleed this time. The next round is yours."

Matt got his wallet out and placed a twenty dollar bill on the table. But before either Roxy or Gabriel could say anything about it, he said, "THAT is one bet I'm glad to lose."

"What the...?" Gabriel said when she noticed Indigo's rather large ears had horizontal stripes of black and brown on the back. "What kind of cat is she? I've never seen anythin' like her before."

"Yeah, she's a bit of a rare breed," Jacob answered. "She's a Savannah Cat. It's a hybrid breed that crosses a normal house cat and a Serval, an African cat."

"Alright," Erik barked when Indigo took her position. He stepped to the side so everyone could see the contestants. "All heads are accounted for. Let's get started." He looked to see the anxiety on each of his contestants. "Ready?" Collin looked at Lucas and reached over tapping his shoulder snapping him out of his trance. Lucas quickly thanked him. "And... DOWN THE HATCH!!!"

The first of the shots were snatched up and down went the contents. Collin was a little slow out the gate but unlike the other contestants he never had anything quite so strong. The liqueur passed over his tongue giving him a very unpleasant taste and burned its way down until it hit his stomach. The effects of the alcohol were immediate as he started to sway. Collin was barely able to put the empty shot glass down before falling behind the counter passing out. Glass bottles underneath clinked together as he brushed against them.

"One down!" Erik called. "That was quick."

"Collin!" Gabriel cried.

"He'll be fine, lass. I can guarantee that his hangover won't be so bad. Second shots are down!"

Collin's lack of experience could be compared by the other five contestants who were still (mostly) steady on their feet as they downed their second shots. The third shots followed and the guy next to Lucas, the one who called him "Kung Fu Drunky," was looking a little less stable. He stumbled back a bit and bumped into the display making the spirits rattle.

"If any of those breaks, second place will be the least of your problems," Erik barked earning him some snickering from the crowd.

The guy stepped, more like stumbled, back up to the bar. He looked down at his three remaining shots a little funny just as everyone downed their fourth. "Uh, Erik. When did you put three more shots down?"

"I didn't."

His body started to teeter in every direction as he was still trying to eye his drinks. "One more question: Why are they spinning?" He fell down the moment he finished the question.

"Do you see a carousel on my counter top?" he said not caring that the guy was up or down bringing the entire place in an uproar of laughter.

Four remained standing behind the bar including Indigo and Lucas. One of the other two tapped the bar top signaling his forfeit while the other managed to down shot number 5 before waving his hands saying that he was done as well. They were given an applause for the show as they managed to help Collin and the other unconscious contestant out from behind the bar. Gabriel got up to take her man off their hands.

Last two. One shot each. Lucas, though teetering and swaying on his heels, looked down the bar at Indigo with determination in his eyes. She was still standing steady as she looks back at him giving him a smile that told him, as far as he could tell with his failing vision, "I own this!" The only thing that was missing was a tumble weed rolling in front of them.

Fingers on their final shot.

A deep breath.

They grabbed their glasses and quickly downed them. The glasses came back down as quickly as they went up and the whole tavern roared in cheer for them in their big finish.

"Congrats, you two, once again," Erik said. "Now as you know, if there is more than on still standing they're given the breathalyzer test. Lowest score between these two get a free pass." Officer McKnight stood up from his seat getting started with the two that forfeited.

"Well, he's done for," Mark said finishing his drink.

"Why?" Gabriel asked. "She's got ta be hammered, too."

"Because," Matt spoke up, "she's military and she's older than him. She probably goes out to have drinks with her brothers-in-arms all the time."

The table looked over to see Officer McKnight move in front of Indigo with the breathalyzer. She seemed to be very stable even if she didn't have her cane in hand, compared to Lucas who looked like he was having trouble keeping his eyes open let alone staying upright on his feet. Indigo puts her lips on the breathalyzer and blew.

When they heard the beep of the breathalyzer the officer took a look at the display. "Zero-point-oh-six!" The crowd applauded.

"She has never blown over 0.06," Jacob sighed.

The officer moved to Lucas and he started to blow. But when the device dinged, "Zero-point-two-four!"

"Oooh!" Mark cried out with the rest of the crowd while Matt's head hit the table. Jacob reached inside his jacket and pulled out a little note pad and pen. He opened it up and scribbled in it.

"Zero-point-two-four. He's point-oh-two points lower from last year," Jacob said.

"That's it?!" Matt said raising his head. "That's not much."

Shocked. Stunned. Apprehension. Drunk. Lucas didn't know what was going through him but he was locked up where he stood. He just lost for the fourth year in a row since Indigo came around. Only three thoughts went thoughts went though his mind and they were all about her. Winner. Rival... Lover?

That last one was more of a sub_conscious thought. One that could have _possible been his other self.

"Zero-point-two-four, huh?" Indigo said snapping him out of it. She came up to him with a taunting smile. "That sucks. The year I came was, what, zero-point-one-five? Ouch! Well, better luck next year, right?" She taps his leg with her cane before moving past him. But as she moves towards the exit, her tail comes up and brushes against his chest and taps his chin.

"Well, she's a rude one!" Gabriel remarked.

"That's not her being rude," Jacob said. "She's playing with him."

"Wait!" Roxy said. "How do know that?"

"He's a mind reader..." Mark said waving his fingers in the air making him seem mystical.

"I am not, Dingus! I sat down and talked with her a couple years ago. But don't tell Lucas, okay, girls? It'll just make him more depressed."

Gabriel and Roxy nodded.

Back at the bar, Lucas just watched rooted to his spot as her tail was last thing he saw of this woman slide out the door. That appendage she used to tease him with. That smirk... That attitude... Everything about her was daring him to go after her. To have her! But if only he could... he could just... Move!

That's it! I can't it ANYMORE!!!

Lucas was motionless for a moment. His eyes were cast in the shadow of his brow looking like defeat came down on him like a ton bricks. But when he raised his head, all the fear that was in his eyes was washed away and was replaced by a confidence that he wasn't really known for. As he looked at the door a smile stretched his lips. One he was known for having at times. This wasn't a smile of determination, but of defiance. At this moment he was no longer going to let his fear take control and started to move toward the door. He held onto the bar counter, though, as he still had alcohol in his system.

"Hey!" Erik calls to Lucas stopping him in his tracks. "I'm all for letting you go home for the day, but don't you get him into any trouble. Keep in mind that I let you speak on his behalf for the job slide since it was what he wanted."

"Don't worry," he said showing the confidence in his voice. "I'm doing this with his best interest in mind. Even though he needs to be able to stand on his own feet, I'll always be there for him."

When Lucas stepped out of the bar, he was just in time to see the cab Indigo took start to pull out of the parking lot. He waited a moment to see which way they would go. They pulled out going right and immediately he went to one of the other five cabs that were waiting for the contestants to stumble out. Lucas lightly hit the hood of the hood of a cab getting the driver's attention and got in the back.

"Hello, sir. Where to?" the hound in the driver's seat asked.

"The taxi that just left," Lucas said putting his seat belt on. "I need you to follow it, please. They went right."

"Follow that cab! You got it!" He put his car in gear and did as he was asked. "There's no telling where this will take us, sir. You sure you got the money?"

"I'll have to. I'm already paying for all six of you guys."

"Good enough for me!"

It didn't take long to catch up to Indigo's cab and luckily traffic was light. Lucas made sure to tell the diver not to follow so close and to drive casually. But he's worried that they might have been spotted already.

After fifteen minutes of driving, Indigo's cab didn't show any signs of anything strange. It made a turn down another street but pulled over in front of a building soon after. Lucas told his driver to pull over someplace where they won't be seen so he pulled into an alley across the street.

"Wait here. I'll be back," Lucas said when the car was thrown in park. He got out and pressed himself against the corner and watched as Indigo just entered the building which he recognized. It was a soup kitchen that was run by the local Catholic church. He couldn't think of any reason she would be here. Unless...

He quickly shook the thought away before it set in. Don't EVEN think that!

He got out from his hiding spot crossing the street and entered the building. He passed by a couple of people as he came in. He spotted the veteran as she went into the back room and looked around for a hiding spot. There wasn't much to this place besides tables where there were people eating and the counter where food was served so the only things that even came close to being used for hiding were the four support pillars. No one had noticed him yet, or probably didn't even care, as he moved behind the nearest pillars. He peeked around to see Indigo come out of the back room raising an eyebrow when he saw her wearing an apron.

Oh, thank God! She's a volunteer...

Looks like it.

He continued to watch her as the other volunteers welcome her with hugs.

"Excuse me?"

Lucas nearly jumped out of his skin when a woman, an avian, snuck up behind him.

Now he felt like an idiot standing there.

"Are you a volunteer, too?" she asked.

"Uh, n-no. No, I'm not," he stammered his answered.

"Then, what are you doing here? Staring at Indy?"

Shit!

"Well the short answer would be that I have a split personality and my other side is in love with her so I took the wheel to follow her."

Hey! A little louder! I don't think Indigo heard you!

The avian was slightly taken aback by the answer. "Oh! Is that all?" she laughed.

He looked around the pillar again watching Indigo. The smile that she had was very different from the teasing smile she gave him earlier. She looked really happy as she was helping serve food. "Got to admit, though, I didn't expect her to volunteer."

"Yeah," she sighed in admiration. "She's really sweet. She comes around whenever she can. She doesn't stay very long because of her injury, but she always stays longer on St. Patrick's Day. Don't know why, but if you're following her, you're gonna be her a while.

As the avian woman walked away Lucas looked out the window at Indigo's cab and both of them groaned as it dawned on them. That was why he paid out so much in previous years! It costs more when the cab is sitting idol if the passenger tells the cab to wait for them. Which is what HE did, too! Lucas smacked his head against his head against the pillar. And chances were that she probably had a good idea that she was being followed. She must be laughing on the inside.

Lucas somehow managed to make it back outside without Indigo noticing, hoped but not expected, and went back to his cab. When the cabbie tried to strike up a conversation, but all Lucas told him was to be prepared for a nice paycheck.

It had been a little over an hour since Indigo stopped her cab that she finally came back out. Lucas let his driver know so he will get ready to move again. He watched as she let out a happy sigh before getting into her cab. But instead of pulling forward, they made a U-turn in the empty street right behind his cab. He could just make her out with that teasing smile in the back for a brief moment when the windshield was square with him. He felt like that smile was directed at him. A few seconds pass before the driver backed his cab out of the alley to follow.

"Uh, sir..." the driver started.

"Yeah, yeah, I know," Lucas groaned. "No point now. Just follow them."

"You got it."

Lucas leaned back in his seat and tried to relax as best he could with the knowledge that he was discovered. He could feel a headache coming on.

This trip wasn't as long this time as the hospital came into view. As both cabs pulled into the parking lot, Lucas decided not to jump the gun this time and just keep an eye on the veteran. He watched as she left her cab walking towards the hospital's front door. His eyes followed her from in the taxi until she passed behind the frame between the windows...

...She disappeared! Gone! Vanished! Lucas turned around in his seat and searched through the back windshield to find her again.

Knock, knock

Lucas screamed. He looked out the passenger side window to see a person standing there with a familiarly fuzzy hand against it. The person bent down to reveal a smiling Savannah Cat. He rolled his window down looking right at Indigo.

"Hello, Mr. Stalker," she sang. "Was wondering when you'd finally come after me."

Lucas groaned as his head dropped. "Uh, hi... Was I that obvious?" he asked with a hard blush coloring his cheeks.

"I'd have to be blind not to notice you. I left you enough invites beforehand. And..." She pulls out her phone and shows it to him. "...your older brother texted me."

Lucas' jaw nearly fell off when he saw that the text was from Jacob that read: Heads up! Lucas is on your tail and it looks like he wants to claim it this time! }:-)

FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUKKKK!!!

Oh, relax. At least you don't have to worry about breaking the ice.

But now she's gonna think I'm screwed up in the head!

Well, we did follow her.

That was YOUR idea! I was gonna stay at the tavern and hang out with my brothers.

You probably would have and you would have missed out. You wanted this and you know it.

...Guilty...

"I've got Physical Therapy here then I'm all done for the day," Indigo said snapping him out of his internal argument. "You can follow me home afterwards."

Lucas let out a defeated sigh. "Alright..."

"Cool! It shouldn't take more than twenty minutes. Thirty tops." She taps the roof and walked towards the building.

Lucas rolled the window up and exhaled most of his tension out his lungs. His cab driver open his mouth...

But Lucas cut him off. "The next words out of your mouth better not be any wise cracks. Otherwise, you can forget a tip."

The driver shut his mouth. So instead he reached for a newspaper and opened it.

True to her word, Indigo left the building after twenty-five minutes. She faced Lucas' cab and waved her cane catching his attention. He let his driver know making him put the newspaper down. He moved the car until he was close to Indigo's and then followed her out the parking lot. Going down the road, Lucas kept his breathing slow and steady to control his anxiety on the outside. But on the inside, his more timid self was on pins and needles. The last time he was this nervous was opening night for a play he was in back in high school. Luckily, his other self had the lines memorized too.

Lucas looked to see that they arrived at a residential area and started to slow down to a stop in front of a house. Lucas pulled twenty out of his wallet handing it to his driver.

"End of the line. Thanks for putting up with me," Lucas said as the driver took the bill. "You'll get your payment from Erik's Tavern soon. Then I'll be working to pay it off."

"Okay! Pleasure doing business with you, sir. Have a nice day." He turned around in his seat to face Lucas. "And good luck to you."

"Thanks. I'm going to need it."

He got out of the cab and met Indigo on the curb.

"Welcome to my home," she said with a very sweet and welcoming smile. "C'mon in. Would you like something to drink?"

"Yeah, thanks. Water sounds good right now."

"Hey, Indy!" a guy called from the house. He was also a Savannah Cat like Indigo. Too much like her aside from the red hair compared to Indigo's brunet. "Welcome home! Did... Who the fuck are you?!"

"Infra, calm down! Don't even think about it!" But it didn't look like this new feline wasn't going to listen.

"Get away from her, you bastard!" He charged from the door straight at Lucas.

Welp, I did my part getting you here. You're up!

Lucas blinked. "Say what?!" He suddenly registered his attacker as he lunges at him.

Instinct took over as he suddenly leans back letting his assailant fly right over him. Indigo's eyes were as big as dinner plates in her astonishment at what she was seeing. With only bent legs touching the ground, Lucas' whole body was bent backwards!

"Doh... shit!" Lucas strained from his... precarious position. "Haven't done this move in a while! My core's out of shape..."

The feline known as Infra stared at the intruder from the ground as Lucas gently waved his arms trying to keep his balance. Infra got to his feet while Lucas watched him carefully practically upside-down. He took a single step towards him...

"Wait!" Lucas said finally finding his balance. "You should know that I'm a 5th Degree Don in Martial Arts. You don't stand a chance against me."

"Tch! I'm an Army Corporal, and I'm gonna kick your ass!"

Lucas crossed his arms over his chest. "Isn't that level under Staff Sergeant?"

"Fuck off!" Infra charged forward and brought his foot up to smash his face in.

Lucas caught the foot in his hands and released his legs letting himself drop to the ground. Infra lost his balance from the maneuver and started to fall forward only to be met with a pair of feet smashing into his chest knocking the wind out of him and launching him back to the ground. Lucas threw his upturned legs forward using the momentum to help himself back on his feet. He spun around facing his opponent in a proper fighting stance... if you could call it that.

Lucas may have been on his feet, but his tipsy demeanor suggested that he would fall over any second. He was swaying and teetering like a drunkard pretending to hold a shot glass in each hand keeping his left close to his chest and his right out in front of him.

Infra got sweet, sweet air back in his lungs again and got back to his feet to charge once more. But the moment he moved Lucas' arms dropped and he started to fall back but his quick feet stayed (somewhat) under him as he moves away from his attacker. Infra gives chase only to get tripped up when Lucas stops swinging a leg in the direction he was going drinking from his invisible cup and falling flat on his back.

After Infra hopped a few times on his foot he regained his bearings and went to attack again but flying legs made him keep his distance as Lucas was back on his feet again. This time, however, was a counterattack with a flurry of light strikes to chest that made Infra stumble back.

Indigo didn't know what she was looking at. Both of these grown men in front of her were acting like a pair of bumbling clowns in a circus! She knew Lucas had to be sober by now or at least close to it but he was stumbling around like the very definition of public intoxication. She knew Infra was always too ridge for his own good and this was making him look all the more like an idiot. He could handle a five mile run but he was looking ragged with all the sudden changes in direction. She wanted to stop this... whatever this was, but she was too amused to even speak up. All good things must come to an end, she guessed.

This time Lucas went on the offensive. He stumbled right up to a tired Infra and locked a leg around his holding him in place. Both arms quickly struck on either side of his neck and gave a light shove in his chest giving his leg back letting him fall to the ground. Lucas back-flipped putting some distance between them rolling along his chest landing on his feet really low to the ground bobbing his upper body around with his invisible cups in his hands keeping his eyes locked on his target. Infra wasn't getting back up right away but fortunately he was still conscious.

Indigo knocked her cane against the sidewalk getting both of their attentions. "Alright, boys, that's enough! Stand down, Corporal! That's an order!"

Both men looked at each other and asked in unison, "Indigo, who is this guy?!"

"Lucas, this is my little brother, Infra. Infra, this is Lucas, the guy I was telling you about. The one who I said was trying to get my attention and as of today he became my stalker."

"Say what?!" Infra cried.

Lucas cringed at the word "stalker." Did she have to say it like that?

Indigo noticed the change in Lucas' attitude but decided not to say anything. "But personally, I don't know what took him so long," she continued. "And as of right now, Corporal, he is our guest. Now, inside! Both of you!"

"Inside?! This bastard needs to leave!" Infra demanded.

Indigo shot him an intense glare that quickly shut him up. "I don't say anything when you bring a girl home, do I?"

"But... but, sis, he followed you..." Infra sounded really pathetic right now.

Her cane slammed against the pavement again. "Which I allowed! I've been baiting him to come after me, after all!"

Both the men's jaws dropped.

Lucas followed behind Indigo into her house. Just after he went past the threshold Infra came up behind him and shoulder-checked him as he passed. As Infra disappeared down a hallway Indigo handed Lucas a glass of water.

"Sorry about him," she apologized.

"What kind of bug is up his ass?" Lucas asked taking the glass.

"The loving and overprotective kind," she sighed. "Have a seat in the living room. I'll be there in a minute."

Lucas took her up on her offer taking a seat on the couch while she went into the kitchen. They heard the toilet flush as she opened one of the cupboards looking around for something. When Infra came after another minute he spotted Lucas sitting on the couch making him growl and his fur bristle. It was just as he was about to sit in the chair that Indigo called him from the kitchen.

"Hey, Red?"

Infra's butt was an inch away from the cushion. "Yeah?"

She pulls out an almost empty bottle of whiskey from the cabinet she was looking through. "I'm out of Wild Turkey. Can you go out and get me two more bottles, please? I'll pay you back."

He eyed Lucas briefly before saying, "Sure." He stood back up and moved towards the door.

"Hang on," she said stopping her brother. "Don't you even think about going to that liquor store down the road. You know the place I like."

"Ah c'mon! That place is on the other side of town! I'm not leaving you here with him!"

"Okay, bro, I love you and I know mean well but there are a few things I need to point out. One: That store down the road don't always check their products when they get it in. Remember that one bottle you got me with the messed up cap? Two: I'm still your older sister AND I outrank you. Three: This guy is in love with me, I really like him and he handed your ass to you a minute ago, so I don't think he'll do anything that I won't approve of. Four: How fair is it that you get to bring girls home but I can't bring any guys?" Her stare hardened at him again reminding him who the boss was. "And five: Remember whose house this is, freeloader!"

Infra could only squeak with his mouth open at his sister. It was when his shoulders dropped in defeat that he finally spoke. "Fine..." He grabbed the keys and left.

Lucas couldn't help but shake like a leaf at the power she displayed. His hand wasn't staying steady as he tried to take a drink. He just watched Indigo put her little brother, her own flesh and blood, in his place almost like an abusive dog owner. What was he thinking with this woman this whole time? Nothing close to reality, that's for sure! All he had was an idea, a fantasy, about her that he stuck with when she came around to the tavern every St. Patrick's Day. But here she was. The REAL her. A kind, dedicated soul that would help out at the local soup kitchen and invite him into her home without thinking about any consequences, while at the same time she could become a hard-ass at the drop of a hat. And this all started when she showed up out of the blue and dominated the competition.

"Really sorry you had to see that," Indigo said sitting beside him. Her sudden appearance and proximity surprised him and his cheeks turned an instant red. "Red really does mean well, ever since I got discharged." She took a sip from her last glass of bourbon until her brother gets back.

"B-b-believe me, I can underst-stand. He-he's family and he's just t-t-trying to look out for you. S-s-same with my brothers."

"Yeah..." She looks at him with a newfound interest in her eyes. "So, Lucas, just what were you doing with my brother outside? I've never seen anything like that before. That was really fun to watch."

Lucas felt his nervousness wash away somewhat when he heard her say that. "It's a Kung Fu style called Drunken Boxing. I act like a drunkard to throw my opponent off balance."

"That's so cool! I liked how you just bent backwards making Infra fly right over you."

Lucas scratched his head in embarrassment. "Heh. Yeah, that was instincts kicking in. Haven't done that in so long that my core muscles need to get stretched back out."

"Your core, huh?" she said smiling with bit of mischievousness mixed in as she took an even greater interest in him. "Can I see?" Her question caught him completely off guard and his blood returned to his cheeks with a vengeance. She finished her glass setting it down on the coffee table. She leans towards him with those dazzling golden eyes and a toothy smirk. "I'll show you mine if you show me yours." She hooks her tail under the hem of her shirt and lifts it showing him a glimpse of cream colored fur. "Or maybe... something... a little... more?" She undoes the top button of her three-button shirt to direct her point allowing him a titillating peek inside.

Lucas didn't know what kind of situation he got himself into now. A minute ago she was cracking the whip at her little brother and now she wanted to see his abs while offering to take her shirt off with a lusty glint in her eyes. Using that damn tail again to tease him. Without any idea what else to do, and his nervousness getting the better of him, he scooted away from the feline.

Said feline, however, giggled as she followed him getting a little closer than before.

Hey, a little help here?

...

He scooted away a little further, but this time he reached the end of the couch bumping into the arm. He could feel himself getting light headed just from the attention he was getting from her.

She followed him again and was almost on top of him. She looked at him with a sweet smile paired with saucy eyes. She gave him a look that he could only guess at what she wanted.

C'mon! Help me!

No. You're the one with the crush and she's throwing herself at you. You're on your own.

He needed to get out of there somehow! Anyhow! Cop out!

"Uh... Your brother will be back any minute. So I should probably go before he wants to go for round 2..." He suddenly gets up to leave...

"Nuh-uh!"

...but he was grabbed by the veteran before he could stand and thrown back into his seat. His shock was added onto when he felt pressure on his lap because that was where she made herself comfortable.

"You don't need to worry about him," she smiled leaning forward. "He'll be gone for at least twenty, twenty-five minutes." Her nose was getting dangerously close to his. He could practically feel her whiskers tickle his face. "And I put a LOT of effort in getting you here and kicking him out. I'm sure you could probably tell by now that I like to get what I want. So after all this the least you could do is tell me how you feel about me. Because I like a man who can be assertive."

"A-a-a-assertive? M-m-me?"

"I saw it my second year. You wanted to show me what you were made of. I had a feeling that you wanted to win before you could talk to me." The way he looked away told her that she hit the nail on the head. She gently took his chin turning him back towards her and dropped her voice sexy low for what she said next. "So c'mon, give us a kiss..."

Indigo felt a small rush of air against her lips. She looked to see his head lying back and his eyes rolled up.

"Uh, Lucas? Hello?" She waved a hand in his face. She started to get worried when she didn't get a response from him. "Oh no!" Lucas was out cold.

Indigo tried to remain calm and put her hands on his shoulders. She was just about to shake him when she felt him stir.

"Lucas! Oh, thank God you're alright! I am SO sorry!"

Lucas lifted his head and looked at her with a different light in his eyes than before. "As well you should be. You're lucky my nose finally stopped spraying when you're around or I would've ruined your living room." He took a tissue from the a box on the end table and blew his nose. It had a pair of red spots in it.

Indigo's face dropped in disappointment. "Oh... It's just you. Well, is Lucas okay?"

"Lucas" flashed his defiant smile at her. "How do you know I'm not Lucas?"

"Because I have Jacob's number, remember? We've met and he told me that Lucas has a split personality."

"Damn it!" he groaned. "Sometimes Jacob needs to quit helping all the time. How else is Lucas going to grow?"

"And that you all tell people he has mood shifts that are like being on a caffeine high."

"That was Lucas' idea, not ours," he said defending himself and his brothers.

"So, what's your name?" she asked becoming a little more friendly.

"My name's Kyle. And to answer your earlier question: Yes, Lucas is just fine." Indigo smiled as she let out a sigh of relief. "He passed out when you overloaded his part of our brain. Don't worry though, he'll wake up soon."

"Again, I'm sorry." She slid off Kyle into the seat next to him, but the movement caused pain to lance at her injured leg making her seethe. "Ow..."

Kyle stood up ready to help. "Do you take any painkillers?"

"Yeah. I don't take them often so I don't addicted. It's in the bathroom on the counter." She points down the hallway. "Door on the right."

Kyle nodded and hurried down the hallway. While he was gone she thought about how she could have probably approached Lucas without giving him a heart attack. But she felt everything she did was fairly mild compared to how she usually is. Jacob did warn her that he was really shy and sensitive but she couldn't change who she was just because she found a guy that she liked.

Kyle came back with her medication and a glass of water. "Here you go."

"Thanks." She took her medicine and set the glass on the table. "There's still some shrapnel in my leg but I don't have the money for another surgery and my insurance company claim that they're 'maxed out'."

"What was it?"

"Car bomb. Surgeons managed to get most of that crap out of me but they claim that it was too risky for the ones in my leg."

"I see." Kyle sat down next to her. "You should stop teasing him."

"Hehe. I'm done teasing him. He took the bait, now I'm working on reeling him in."

"He wasn't the one to step out of the tavern. He wanted to but was too scared to move. I knew what he wanted so I took the wheel."

Indigo's eyebrows scrunched together as she looked at him. "Really?!"

"Like I said, it was what he wanted to do."

"He needs to loosen up. Like, bad!"

"I couldn't agree with you more!" He looks over to her with solemn eyes, almost pleading. "I may not be in love with you like he is, but I believe you could help him."

"You think so?"

Kyle nodded.

"Well, maybe if you tell me more about yourselves?" she asked almost cutely.

He smirked at the attempt. "From what I was told it was all while he was growing up. To know us I'll have to tell you about the events that led to my 'awakening,' as it were. Remember, what I'm about to tell you is what I've been told up to the point when I awoke."

***

As you know, kids growing up can be cruel. They see someone who even looks weaker and they become their target. That was Lucas. He was shy but a very good boy. Now mind you this took place before I awoke so the only ones who could help were his brothers Jacob and Matt but they were in different grades and Mark was still a toddler. And of course, it didn't help his case that he was the smartest one in his class.

Whenever it was time for recess he was too scared to go outside because that was where the bullies were. His brothers were out there too, sure, but he wouldn't know where to find them. Most of the time his teachers pushed him outside and that was when the bullies jumped him to tease and torture him. Jacob and Matt would find him too late to help so they started a routine to pick him up to go outside whenever they could.

As the years went by, though, the assignments were getting tougher but for Lucas it was a cakewalk. You could imagine what eventually happened. In high school the bullies that tormented him had cornered him and threatened him to do their homework or they would beat him up. He agreed out of fear because he knew they would do it.

One day our dad and Jacob found out about the extra homework he was bringing home and told him to stand up for himself telling them to do it themselves. He felt a rush of confidence for the first time ever and wrote "DO IT YOURSELF!!!" on each of their assignments. The next morning when he gave their homework back they assaulted him right on the spot. All three of his brothers did their best to help but one of the bastards got a lucky shot in hitting him on the left side of his cranium.

That one punch knocked him out, but brought me to life. There was only one thing I knew at that moment. Pain. Pain that someone had caused. Pain that someone was going to pay for.

I look up and all I saw was three guys standing between me and a group of others who had their eyes locked on me for some reason. I stood up just as the three strangers got shoved out of the way for the head honcho as he took a swing at me. I was so hopped up on Lucas' adrenaline that I knocked his fist away. But before he could register what had happened I got him square under the jaw with an uppercut and he was laid out in one shot. I glared at the guys holding down the ones that were defending me and they instantly backed off.

The three strangers talked to me but when I told them I didn't know them they thought I had amnesia. They found out later when Lucas woke up that that wasn't the case but a whole different personality.

Needless to say the whole fight got everyone involved expelled. The punk I knocked out had a fractured jaw and the testimonies from the witnesses got him expelled too. Our parents tried to fight that we were acting in self-defense and asked where the faculty was when it happened, but it didn't matter. We were all glad to get out of that school system.

After a few blackout episodes, Lucas and I figured things out with each other to the point where we were able to see through the other's eyes and communicate. Even to this day, even though we share a body, I have respected the fact that this is his body. I only come out when he gives me permission or when he needs to get his legs moving. As such I became his more aggressive side. However, some days I feel as though he wants to switch and never come back out.

***

"My God, that is fucked up!" Indigo exclaimed.

Kyle raked through his hair on the left side then parted it. "That bastard walked away with a fracture but Lucas," he showed her his scalp which had a surgical scar with finer hairs growing around it, "had a broken skull with a few shards in his brain. He had to get it replaced with a metal plate and was lucky there wasn't any serious damage. When this was found those jerks were upgraded to First Degree Assault and Battery and went from Juvy to jail as adults."

Indigo gasped as tears started to well up in her eyes.

Kyle was silent for a moment. His eyes stared off into space then said, "Lucas is starting to come to. Get back on his lap as you were."

Confused, Indigo did as he asked. "Okay, but why?"

"Because remember what I said? I think you are what he needs to finally loosen up and come out of his shell. Excuse me..." He reached up and undoes the last two buttons of her shirt.

"Hey! Not I mind, but it should be Lucas doing that."

"Sorry. But you should also know that Lucas isn't really into large breasts and yours being a nice B cup is just right for him." His comment was starting to make her blush. She also wanted to slap him for making such a comment. "So don't you dare go get the girls bigger, understand?"

She faked her disappointment but an amused smile crossed her lips. "Oh fine!"

"One more thing before I go." He lifts his hand to Indigo. "Since you're going to be in Lucas' life a lot more often, and I have no say in it, I hope you and I can be friends."

Indigo grinned down at Kyle. "You trusted me with your guys' past. I'd say we're already friends." She claps her hand in his. "Let's go out for drinks sometime. Me, Lucas, and you!"

"Sounds great. See you later." Kyle leaned back and let out a sigh as he relaxed.

Indigo waited for a moment for Lucas to come back. While she waited her thoughts went to his past, of how he was treated growing up relying only on his brothers for protection. She had it better growing up even as a military brat, but she could never have imagined someone going through that kind of Hell. Her eyes started to well up again as the different images of torment went through her mind. Just then she felt Lucas stirring and his eyes started to flutter open.

Lucas lifted his head to see Indigo still sitting on his lap which caused his cheeks to look like a pair of tomatoes.

"Uh, hi, sleepyhead," she said.

"Uh... Hi." His eyes traveled down to her shirt remembering that it was the last place he looked before fainting and stiffened when he saw the rest of her buttons undone.

"Lucas..." She slipped her hands behind him and pulled him into a gentle hug. "I am so sorry for you."

He didn't know what was going on but from his vantage point against her chest he could see into her shirt. He could see the chain for her dog tags, but more importantly he could see the white strap of her bra going down to connect with her cup. The sight was enough for his blood to burn his face from the inside out.

K-K-K-Kyle? W-W-What's going on?

You shouldn't have passed out, hadn't you?

"I-I-Indy, I'm starting to get light headed again!"

"No!" She brought his head away from her chest caressing his face in her hands. "Please don't pass out again!" Without any warning she forced their lips together.

For a moment Lucas felt like he was really going to pass out again, but he didn't. This felt really nice and his blood wasn't burning his cheeks so much. His rapidly beating heart was starting to calm down. Without thinking about the consequences anymore he wrapped his arms holding her in kissing her back.

Atta boy! That's how you do it!

Sh-shut up, will ya?!

Roger that, good buddy!

Lucas was really starting to enjoy himself but they pulled apart to breathe. Just as they were about to go for another make out session Indigo's large ears twitched as she heard something.

"Oh fuck!" she nearly screamed. "My brother's back... We probably have two minutes, maybe three."

As she got up from his lap and buttoned up her shirt Lucas thought of something. Something he knew was too bold in his opinion. But at this moment it just felt...right.

Don't let anything hold you back, Lucas. Not even her brother. She'll handle him.

"H..." He cleared his throat and swallowed his nervousness down. "H-hey, Indy, would you like to come back to my place? W-we could finish there."

Indigo froze as she reached for her cane. She slowly looks his way with wide eyes filled with shock and surprise. "Say that again..."

"Come back to my place," he said with more confidence. "Please."

Indigo had that sweet mischievous smile again. "I appreciate the offer, but who's the one asking?"

Lucas took her cane and placed it in her hand then held it in both of his with care. "Me."

"What about my brother? He's going to kill you."

"Not my problem. I've seen the way you handle him. You know just what buttons to push."

Indigo chuckled. "Well okay, then."

At that moment Infra opened the door walking in with a large paper bag with the two bottles of whiskey Indigo asked for. He looks to see Lucas. "Still here, are we?"

Indigo moves over to her brother pulling out her wallet. "Oh, shut it, Red. He's getting ready to leave. How much do I owe you?"

"If he's leaving, it's on me!"

"Sweet!" She puts her wallet down... then snatched the keys from Infra only to toss them to Lucas. "Let's go!"

Lucas comes up next to her offering his arm which she gladly takes. She looks to Infra who was too stunned to say anything at the moment with his mouth hanging open.

"Oh, Red..." she said. She raises her cane and uses it to close his mouth from under his chin. "I said he was leaving. I didn't say he was leaving alone. Don't wait up."

To Infra, time slowed dramatically in his head as the new lovers walked past him towards the door. But just before they reached the door Lucas stopped.

"Hey, Red!" Lucas called.

Infra's head creaks like it had a real need to be oiled as he turns towards the man leaving with his sister. Lucas looked over his shoulder at the enraging Corporal, smiling with the same kind of defiance Kyle used so many times perfectly. He raised his fist up and pops up his middle finger.

C'mon, Lucas, you got this! FINISH HIM!!! Kyle growled.

"I'm in love with your sister! So don't be surprised if she comes home happy tomorrow!"

BRUTALITY!!!

Infra's jaw dropped and his eyes were about to pop out of his head. But the real win was when Indigo busted up laughing when she saw her brother's face. Priceless!

FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!

They closed the door behind them leaving a very stunned Infra to stare with narrowing eyes. The audacity of him! And she's just going along with it. His eye started twitching.

"I'm... gonna... kill... that... fucker..."

The sun started to set as the new lovers hopped in the car with Lucas taking the diver's seat. After he turned the car on he noticed a problem.

"Uh-oh."

"What's wrong?"

He points to the gauges on the dashboard. "You should have told your brother to get gas. You're almost on empty."

"Damn it... I'm ganna have a talk with that boy. Don't worry, though. There's a gas station not that far from here."

They stopped at a gas station shortly after they left. There was a note on the pump that the card reader wasn't working and to pay inside. Lucas didn't see a problem so he went ahead and filled up the car.

When Lucas went inside to pay for the gas, Indigo rested her hands behind her head and started to scheme about what she would do once they got to his place. She could do this... or she could try that. But would he be okay going that route? He's still kind of shy but he was making great progress in just the last hour plus. She was giddy with anticipation.

Tak, tak

The sound of something tapping on her window brought her out of her fantasy. She looked though the window and froze when she saw a gun pointed right at her. She slowly raised her hands but the owner waved the gun telling her to get out. She grabbed her cane and proceeded to exit.

"Drop the cane," he demanded.

"I have a bad leg. I need it," she told him.

"Whatever. Wallet and whatever else ya got on ya."

It was then that she remembered where she left her wallet. Back home by the front door. "No wallet on me, and the only things on me are my cane, military ID, and my dog tags." What a time to be without her sidearm, too.

Her mugger snarled waving the gun at her. "You're just trying to piss me off, aren't ya?! See, this is our turf and there's a toll! Pay up or get wasted!"

This guy must be high, she thought. She looked around to see two more men join him. She could see the somewhat crazed looks in their eyes. "Like I told you, I don't have anything of value."

"Not true." The man with the gun licked his chops as he checked her out from head to toe. Already she felt violated. "A woman always has something of value. Move."

Whit no other options, Indigo complied with him being escorted by all three of them towards the street.

Lucas came out of the building with a lottery ticket which he slipped into his wallet. He looks up to find Indigo being led by a bunch of unknown men. A small flash revealed a gun in one of their hands pointing right at her back. The men disappeared with Indigo into an alley across the street. Thinking fast, he threw his head back in the gas station yelling for someone to call the police telling them what he saw.

He didn't know about any groups in this part of town but he just couldn't let anything happen to Indigo so he dashed across the street next to the alley they disappeared into. Taking a look around the corner he found that she was surrounded by six men. He could hear them chuckling but it wasn't the kind where someone tasted victory. He could hear the perversion oozing from them. If she wasn't injured she probably could have taken these guys.

I know you really aren't one for fighting. Do you want me to take them with my Snake-style?

Have you faced more than two people yet?

No. Have you?

No, but this requires completely controlling the flow by keeping them off balance. Leave this to me.

Are you sure?

Lucas reaches into his back pocket pulling out a large flask. He unscrewed the cap and wrenched back from the waft of alcohol inside it.

Lucas heard one of the bastards say, "C'mon, babe! If ya ain't got money on ya then show us the goods!"

"Fuck off!" Indigo snapped. "I got a boyfriend who'll kick your asses!"

The thugs cackled and laughed at her threat. But what surprised Lucas was the faith she had for him. He looked down at his flask and braced himself when he knocked it back, chugging down all twelve ounces of the liqueur inside.

Wait! Is that what I think it is? You're serious!

Inside the flask was the same secret liqueur recipe of Erik's from earlier. He had made himself extra batch for himself for just such an occasion. He's banking on the alcohol to really loosen him up.

When he finished the flask he reeled and gagged but was able to keep it down. As before the effects were quick to set in. He used what little sobriety he had left to turn down the alley and chucked his empty flask.

It smashed one guy in the back of his head and ricocheted into the next guy's temple.

"HEEEEEYYY!!!" Lucas called now completely drunk getting everyone's attention. He swayed and staggered as he made his way over to them. "Justh WHAT do you guysth thing you're doing to MY girlfriend?! Huh? DON"T YOU ASSHOLES KNOW HOW TO TREAT A LADY?!"

The gang chuckled as all but two of them moved to surround Lucas.

"This is your man?" one guy asked. "A fucking drunk?" He goes to shove Lucas in the shoulder and make him fall on his ass, only to have his arm swatted away making him turn around and shoulder bump him causing him to stumble and fall.

"I'm warning you guys," Lucas tried to say as straight as he could. "I'm a fifth degree black belt, I'm drunk, and the police are on their way." One guy came up behind him wrapping his arms around him. "Have it your way..." He threw his arms out loosening the guy's hold long enough to jab him in the stomach with his elbow. Taking the guy's arm he twisted and kicked his legs out from under him and helped flip over landing flat on his back.

Lucas moved away getting into his fighting stance: holding his cups while trying to stay upright. Idiot number 3 tried to jump at him only for him to stumble away making the guy smash face first into a dumpster.

The first two idiots got back on their feet and were going to take him from different angles with idiot number 4 trying to coordinate their next attack. When they moved in, the first guy got his arm knocked away, then received a flurry of punches in the chest and slammed by Lucas' shoulder sending him to the ground.

The other two tried a pincer maneuver. The one on the right received a back-kick to the leg while at the same time the one on the right got two fists to the torso sending them down to the ground on their asses. The extended leg came around smacking one of the idiots sending him spiraling to the ground.

The idiots fighting Lucas watched as the follow-through with his leg sent him spinning to the ground. Finally, the drunkard fell on his ass too!

Indigo watched as Lucas fell, but she knew better. She looked at her guards from the corners of her eyes making sure that they, too, were watching.

Her guards were so transfixed on the fight that they didn't noticed her move behind them. She took her cane in both hands and pulled at the handle. She unsheathed what looked like an extra section with metal bands with small spikes going around it. She flipped a small switch on the handle bringing the spikes to life with electricity.

The arcing electrodes caught her captors' attention. They looked back but the one on the left got hit with the cane's stick in the back of the knee while the right got hit in the stomach with one million volts dropping him instantly. She swung her taser-baton giving the first guy a worse fate touching him in the nuts. The idiot on the right tried to get back up but she clocked him in the head with the stick. Two idiots down for the count.

The four idiots that were getting knocked around by Lucas quickly got to their feet. They surrounded him intending to stomp him out, but his eyes were open waiting for the right moment to attack. Just as they were all in position his legs came up swinging around like a helicopter hitting all four of them at once. They were all sent to the ground again, and this time they didn't get back up.

Lucas stayed on the ground propping his body on his elbow and crossed legs while bringing his imaginary cup over his head pretending to drink from it ending his little maneuver.

"That is one weird fighting style," Indigo said half limping up to Lucas. She noticed one the idiots trying to move when she jabbed him with her taser knocking him out.

Lucas moved back onto his feet with a little difficulty with his drunken ailed body. "Which is why it's so effective. Nice cane."

"Thanks. I had it since..." When she was close enough he stopped her from talking by pulling her in and locking his lips with hers.

In that moment, among all the unconscious bodies, their feelings for each other and their passion entwined. For the briefest moment that felt like an eternity, it was just them. The two warriors with that one kiss, more passionate from the one they shared earlier, sent them among the stars.

The moment ended when the sounds of sirens hit their ears. Indigo groaned in his mouth when the police vehicles showed up and they had to separate.

It took nearly a half hour for the police to do their job. After taking statements from Lucas and Indigo they learned that this "gang" was just a bunch of troublemakers and tweakers trying to make a name for themselves. One of the officers reported that the only gun on them wasn't even loaded and none of them had any bullets on them.

Even though Lucas was still pretty drunk the officers weren't going to take him away as the area didn't have any serious public intoxication laws. But they were still surprised that he was able to take down four guys in self-defense as hammered as he was.

The police left hauling away all six of the idiots in handcuffs. When Lucas went to take a step he started to fall only to be caught by Indigo, his new girlfriend. He pulled the keys out of his pocket which she gladly took and hauled him back across the street to the car.

"By the way," Lucas slurred, "there's something you should know before I sober up and get all shy again."

"What's that?"

"I just thought I should let you know that I am a virgin."

Indigo went wide-eyed with surprise but was then replaced with intrigue. "A handsome guy like you is still a virgin? Wow!" She never had the pleasure of popping a guy's cherry.

He was eased into the passenger seat. "My brother Matt tried to hook me up before you came along. But I got so scared before the main event that I just lost... well... it," he said bringing attention to his crotch, which was now pitching a tent. "Oh damn..."

Indigo held a predatory smile that was completely missed by him. A look that said "Not for much longer!"

"Well don't you worry. I'll take real good care of you." She ended her statement with a wink that made him shudder.

Lucas settled in while Indigo got in the driver seat and they were back on the road. He was able to navigate them to a rather nice apartment complex. She helped him out of the car draping an arm over her shoulders while holding herself up with her cane.

By now Lucas was starting to sober up again. He did feel a bit humiliated being carried by her but the sentiment felt nice.

They found their way to his apartment and went inside.

"I can manage from here," Lucas said. "Wait here."

Indigo did as she was asked as he and slipped into his kitchen. He reached in the fridge pulling out a whiskey bottle of his own and a glass from his cupboard.

"How many fingers?" he asked.

"I normally do two," she answered. "But after today I'll do four."

"You got it."

Lucas came back with her glass and a tall water for him. They clinked and enjoyed. As she indulged in her drink Lucas couldn't help but gaze upon her.

Her wonderful profile, the bright sheen of her golden eyes glistening, and her moistened lips were all so charming. But as he stared into those eyes a mischievous smile crossed her lips as she held up her glass and poured it on her chest.

"Damn it!" she giggled feigning her shame. "Its all over me!"

"That's no good," Lucas said getting the idea. "Better get that shirt off so I can wash it."

He helped her with her shirt and found that the spirit was already in her fur and bra cups . He held her tight fiercely kissing her before moving down to her left breast. She leaned back letting him at her bust as licked and sucked right where her nipple was.

"There's... There's no whiskey there! But, God that feels good... mmm!" Lucas unclasped her bra and went after her nipples directly. "You're pretty good for a virgin."

"I don't have a clue what I'm doing," he confessed. "All I know is that I love you and your tits."

He suckled while he squeezed and fondled her other breast. As if unable to stop him, not that she would anyway, she let him have his way without saying a word. From time to time, she moaned briefly when the pleasure intensified.

She let out a gasp when his hand slipped down the front of her pants. "My, You're impatient!" she giggled.

Holding his head, Indigo completely embraced his advances and she gently stroked his hair with tenderness and acceptance. He ran his tongue down her torso to her bellybutton, lingering there to explore it further causing her to giggle. She started to give off a soft, wild fragrance from her body.

"Hehe... that tickles... mmmyeah..."

To stop him from licking her navel, Indigo brought his head to hers and claimed his lips. She ends the kiss and they go to work getting the rest of each other's clothes off. Lucas managed to unbutton her jeans first allowing his hand easier access. He slipped them in her panties when he got the zipper down finding his was to her tail.

He took her by her firm ass and kissed her more as he guided her towards his bedroom. She finally got his pants undone just as they reached the door and he helped to pull them down enough where gravity could take them the rest of the way. He didn't particularly care where they landed at the moment.

He followed Indigo to his bed pulling the rest of her garments off. He lowered himself down along with them giving her navel a quick kiss before moving down further to her nether lips. The sudden shock of pleasure caused her legs to buckle. She had to lie down before her legs gave out completely.

He looked upon her admiring the natural design of her spotted coat. Her tail came around to hide her treasure from his eyes. That damn tail again! Lucas had finally had enough of it and threw it aside her giggle.

"Mmm...!"

He spread her labia and used his tongue to tease her. Every time he stuck his tongue in and out, her pussy juice dripped out. Oozing passion, the tight muscles around her pussy started to relax. He felt a strong suction on his finger as he gently slid it inside her.

Her pussy was welcoming, but it was clear she was in control -- just like Indigo herself.

"I can't... I can't wait anymore!" she cried. Her voice had changed, growing deep and rough with desire. "Fuck me, Lucas! Fuck me!"

He got up, grabbed her soft, yet firm hips and slowly slid his cock into her soaked pussy.

"Ahh... Never had one so big... You're filling me up! Nah!"

"When was the last time you even got some?"

"Ha... ha... Good... Good question."

Indigo's moaning was low and broken as though she were enduring something. He pushed himself as far inside her as he could and roughly rotated his cock.

"Yes! Stir me up! Just like that!" She may have liked it, but something felt off.

Lucas pulled his cock out and then plunged it in again. He wanted her to thoroughly enjoy herself.

Indigo's pelt was so soft, but her body felt stiff and unyielding. She endured and tolerated his thrusts, but she didn't respond to him like he though she would. He held her hand in his, their fingers entwined, and he pressed his body against hers. Their hot, wet genitals emanated energy into both of them.

Her mental resistance was as sweet and tempting as the physical penetration. Indigo had been a challenging opponent, but now Lucas could feel her start to loosen up.

She'd never really revealed her true feelings to anyone before today. She had been flirting with him just to test the waters around him. But now she was softened with the incessant heat running through her body.

"Uh... Oooh!"

As she felt his desire from his rhythmic thrusts, her pussy flooded her with an electrifying pleasure, and her body became hotter and hotter.

"Oh God... so good... mmm!

Her squeals were so loud that she even surprised herself. Her mind went blank for a moment, her joyful moans propelled him to her pussy.

"Ah, hehe.... mmm! Yes! There... it feels so good... mmm!"

His hands and cock were teasing and probing her, giving her pleasure in ways she'd never felt before, especially since she was dealing with a virgin. She couldn't hold back anymore. She began panting. Her lustful moans filled the air as pleasure ran through her entire body like electricity.

He lowered his head to kiss her passionately. Her lips seemed to have become erogenous zones. He soon realized her entire body had as well. A touch anywhere made her pussy wetter and hotter, and her body surged with intense sexual energy.

"Mmm... yes... ooh... You feel so... deep... mmm..."

Answering his kiss, her cheeks blushed a tender shade of rose through her fur. She had enough holding back as she rocked her hips to the rhythm of his movements, throwing herself wholeheartedly into their bliss.

Her golden eyes looked at him lustfully. Usually they teased and were filled with a level of mischief, but now he could see the flame inside them wanting more. Though they were only minor differences, her furrowed brow, her seat, the extremely satisfied expression on her face, and the encouraging look in her eyes all combined to reveal her mature beauty.

"Mmm... hehe, yes... mmm... Like that... right there... I love it!"

When he hit most sensitive spots, her pussy encouraged him by sucking tightly on his cock. It pulled him back immediately after he pulled out and sucked him deep inside, hungry for more.

"Ah, ah, ah... I can't... can't think anymore!"

Her pussy depths were now completely relaxed. Every time he took his cock out, juice from deep inside her spilled out, filling the room with wet, slopping sounds. She lifted her ass from the pleasure meeting his hips, moaning happily as she absorbed the force of his thrusts. She wrapped her limbs around him and tightened her pussy, not disguising her joy for him at all. She wanted everything he had to give her.

Lucas pounded his cock inside her as deep and hard as he could. He felt an electric energy deep at the base of his cock that had been building and as he rammed her pussy. It finally exploded within her sending shockwaves of pleasure though his entire body.

"Ooh... Yes, yes, YEEESSS!!!" she cried.

He felt her shudder and groan loudly. Shaking, trembling, and moaning, her body began to quiver all over in her own climax. The violent contracting and pulsation of her pussy kept coaxing more waves of his cum spurting into her.

As he finished and pulled his cock out, a stream of his white liquid spilled out of her red, swollen pussy.

They lay on the bed and he held her in his arms, rubbing her back. Her nipples flushed pink and surged with desire. She hummed as his fingers glided through her fur, holding him sweetly in return.

"Hehe... That was in... incredible... You did... great... for a virgin. Former now, huh? Damn... I'm exhausted..."

He held her tighter and buried his face into her neck breathing in her wild scent. "Thank you... Glad I could... meet your... expectation. Hey, Indy?"

"Yeah?"

He reached up placing a long gentle kiss to her lips. "I love you."

Indigo giggled before returning the kiss. "You got some more work ahead of you, but I love you, too."

With the fatigue from their ecstasy, sleep was in high demand. But before he could, Lucas lifted his head as best her could to see over Indigo's shoulder to his alarm clock on the nightstand. The time on it read 10:00 p.m. However, he knew that it wasn't the real time because he put it a couple minutes ahead. He rolled over to the edge of his bed and reached with his foot trying to find the floor...

But the moment he tried to put his weight on his legs they instantly gave out sending him straight to the ground.

"Fuck!" he groaned. He might as well just crawl.

"Mmm... Lucas," he heard from the bed. Indigo's voice sounded deep and sensual. "Come back to bed, dahling."

Lucas groaned some more getting himself situated on his hands and knees. "I will in a minute. Have to grab a lottery ticket from my pants pocket. The radio's going to announce the winning numbers tonight."

"Oh okay. I think they landed by the door."

He looked around the bed's corner and was barely able to make out the clothes tossed about his bedroom in the low lighting. "Damn it... Okay, can you turn the radio on? It's on the nightstand next to you. It should already be on the right station." Although it was a few feet to the door, for him, it might as well have been a few miles.

As Indigo was taking her time with the radio, Lucas searched around trying find his pants. He found her bra, panties both of their shirts, socks, then finally found his pants.

Hey, Lucas. Kyle's sudden presence nearly made Lucas fall off his knees. How did it go? What the hell?! Your legs are shot!

Yes... Thank you, Captain Obvious. Where the hell have you been this whole time? I hadn't heard a peep out of you. He pulled out his wallet grabbing his ticket. Now for his long trek back to the bed.

Well, when we got home I knew you guys were going to get really intimate. So, to give you guys some privacy I went to sleep.

Lucas finally got back to the bed and was able to pull himself up as he thought about Kyle's consideration. Oh... Thanks!

No problem. A light clicked on when Indigo got a bit frustrated fiddling with the radio. So... Can I get a look at her?

Lucas groaned. He was definitely opposed to having other people looking at Indigo, but being a special case that Kyle was, he was going to have to live with it. Fine... but ONLY if she says it's okay.

Lucas closed his eyes. "Hey, Indy."

"Yeah?"

"Kyle's back. He gave us some privacy while we did it and the only thing he's asking for is to get a look at you. Are you cool with that?"

"Heh! Might as well! I'm not shy, but this will definitely be ranked as a weird threesome."

Lucas was still for a moment letting Kyle take over. Kyle opened his eyes turning his head towards Indigo, who had used the blanket to cover herself from below her bellybutton to mid-thigh letting her braid come over her shoulder and running between her tits while striking a sensual pose like out of an adult magazine, smiling for the third wheel.

"Hi, Kyle..."

Kyle wasn't expecting this but let out a whistle of approval. "Not bad. Not bad at all. I take back what I said earlier. I could learn to like you a LOT!"

Okay! That's enough! One step at a time!

While Lucas and Kyle switched back, Indigo finally turned the radio on.

"... tonight's winning numbers are: 8... 24... 36... 55... and 65. Once again, those numbers are: 8, 24, 36, 55, and 65. Thank you, and have a good night, ladies and gentlemen."

8, 24, 36, and 55. Four out of the five numbers matched on Lucas' ticket. "I won!"

"You did?" Indigo jumped laughing as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "How much?"

"Four numbers, so that's the million dollar prize!"

Indigo squealed in celebration. "That's fantastic!"

"Yeah it is! I can finally get my own house. And... I want to give it to you, too."

Indigo blinked. "Wait, what?"

Lucas' eyes reflected the care he was feeling for her. "Yeah. I want to help you get the rest of the shrapnel out of your leg. Maybe it'll help so you won't need to rely on your cane anymore. You'll have it just for show."

Indigo had no words for him. No words to express how she felt about him at this moment. So instead, she grabs him on either side of his face and pulls him into a hard, heated kiss. Her energetic tongue forced its way into his mouth to dance with his.

The surprise caused most of his precious air to leave his lungs. And although he enjoyed the attention, he needed to breath! She straddled his legs and finally let his lips go to pursue the skin of his neck. She was ready for round two.

Wow... Nice going!

You can go back to sleep now!

But something clicked in Lucas' mind. Something he forgot about because of everything that happened today. "Oh damn it!"

She lifted herself away from his neck in surprise. "What? What is it?!"

"I just remembered I need to pay all the damn cab fares thanks to you! AND I'm going to have the worst hangover ever in the morning because I had to save your pretty little ass! So, yeah, thanks a fucking lot!"

With the mood almost killed, Indigo snickered into a full blown laugh. When she calmed down she settled on top of him. They both sighed with content as they finally called it a night. Today had been one Hell of a day.

Well done, Lucas. Bravo.

Thanks, Kyle.
