Dawn's Background

While she was growing up, Dawn never quite felt like she was able to find anyone she fit in with. Everything changed her junior year of college, when she discovered (accidentally) that she had the ability to travel between planes of existence. Of course, all of this came with one big downside. Dawn in no way felt safe revealing what she actually did for a living to her girlfriend. It was an inherently dangerous line of work, although not exactly the "you're going to get killed" sort of dangerous. The danger she experienced was more along the lines of accidentally allowing a sex demon to follow her back into her plane, or being turned into a living, latex-coated sex toy for a giantess, or a breeder for a tribe of minotaurs, or finding herself ensnared by that damn naga yet again. Given how much money was at stake, other artifact hunters weren't at all above trying to get each other into precarious situations. She knew that if she told Emma or brought any attention to her, the cow would most likely wind up being put into those exact precarious situations herself.

After thinking about what she wanted to tell Emma, she settled on saying that she had been given a high-paying government job. This would cover her needs for secrecy and occasionally being gone for periods of time and difficult to contact. Sure, she normally was only away for a week or so, but occasionally she would find herself occupied for longer periods of time. The longest she'd been away was six months, after she'd found herself tricked by a fellow artifact hunter and enrolled as a 'test subject' at an incredibly high-tech far future sex toy company.

She'd felt terrible when she first broke the news of her 'new job' to Emma, who was understandably both upset and happy for her. Eventually they managed to work through the initial period of adjustment, and now she found herself ever eager to get home to her beloved cow.

Emma's Background

Growing up in a small town far from the city she now resides in, Emma never had too much in her mind as far as her future went. Maybe working down at the corner store when she graduated high school, or learning a trade and working as a plumber or welder. Something of those sorts. At the urging of one of her teachers who noted her interest in computers and technology, she applied at a few colleges without much hope that any of them would get back to her, let alone accept her.

Much to her surprise she found herself accepted with a full-ride scholarship--at a school that was hundreds of miles from home and located in a major city. Too nervous to decide, she stashed the acceptance letter in her underwear drawer and nearly forgot about it until a second letter came reminding her that she needed to accept the university's offer within two days or she would be forfeiting her spot! One anxiety-filled conversation with her parents later and she was on the phone with an advisor letting them know that she would be attending that fall.

Fast forward to now, and Emma is an established graduate student in the computer science department. She's plenty busy with projects and her part time work as a driver for one of those grocery delivery services, but still finds time in her schedule to relax and enjoy life whenever she gets a moment. Currently she is living with her girlfriend of two years, Dawn, in a house located just a few miles off campus. She and Dawn met when one of her friends dared her to come out to an 'exotic night club' with them, where she found herself feeling things about a specific tigress on stage that she had never quite felt before!

Somehow she managed to catch Dawn's attention, and soon found herself in a much more private booth, chatting and eating dinner with a complete stranger. She'd felt so at ease and comfortable, and just couldn't get the tigress off her mind. Dawn still loves to tease her about how she'd timidly asked to exchange phone numbers... and about how she'd spent most of that night getting fucked into oblivion by her soon-to-be girlfriend.

Dawn no longer works for that club, and instead works in some top-secret government job that occasionally keeps her away from home for weeks at a time. While Emma isn't exactly a fan of all the time without her girlfriend, or the secrecy surrounding what the tigress actually does, she's still plenty happy to be spending her life with someone who makes her feel the way Dawn does.
