Serpentine Adventure

##

S hriszra wished she listened to the black sheep of the group when she still had the chance to do something. By the time she entered Khar’Valeigh’s waters, it was too late to turn back. Murmurs of panic traveled through the group of slithering serpents.

Shriszra heard them too. The unnerving whispers….

And the flap of wings too broad to belong to normal birds. A flock of gryphons soared above them, directing the serpents closer towards the port town like fish lured into the jaws of a fisherman’s net.

“Four ships? I believed they were going to send two!” A terrified serpent swam back, only to be pulled back in formation by Tharg.

“Hold onto your hearts! The war got everybody on edge. We can’t blame the humans for seeking a bit of comfort in the old ways.”

“A bit? Four warships, a flock of gryphons twice our size, and you call that a bit?” another serpent said.

The spark of fear awakened a blaze, and quickly, the group descended into chaos. They were right to fear Vegrauhn. Shriszra caught the serpentine trails left by the armored hulls of the four ships that disentangled themselves from Khar’Valeigh’s bay. She tried to keep everyone calm…confident in their mission of peace. But how effective could words be against a horde of potential enemies?

Ultimately, it took the strength of the warriors to calm the spirits or beat them into submission if necessary.

“Stare ahead. It’s only me they want. Look upon the town, where thousands of other humans live in peace. See for yourselves that there is no cause for concern.”

The serpents pushed their heads above the water. They looked towards the city, like Shriszra instructed, while she and the three leaders swam towards the ship that flew Vegrauhn’s colors. An orange spear piercing through the eclipse of a blue sun.

“ ‘Pologies for the reception, my dear serpents.” A tattooed man with messy long hair that could only be Vegrauhn bowed over the deck of his ship. Bare chested, black of hair, with a thick beard that gave him the appearance of a bear, he looked like a rugged veteran that lived through too many battles. “We live in dangerous times. What you see here are just a few necessary precautions.” He waved towards the gryphon infested skies. “Tis’ better to keep these comrades of mine away from the embrace of the tavern a little while longer than to have my head parted from my shoulders. You understand, right?”

“We are here on a mission of peace.” Shriszra said. “Will you treat with ussss, now that you’re in charge?”

“Aye, the goods.” Vegrauhn nodded. “Lemme see what price your kind puts on peace.”

Shriszra sent her companions back to the pod. The crafters had but to tweak a few crystals, and the carts moved upwards, their goods soon exposed before the eyes of all the humans.

“Mhm. Looks good. From a distance, that is.” Vegrauhn coughed in his palm. “Sorry. The salt of the sea no longer agrees with my lungs. D’you mind if I have my boys go down there for a minute? Throw an eye over these carts o’yours to make sure nothing fishy hides beneath these trinkets.”

“I do mind,” A gruff voice answered. Orzen split the waves in his wake, bashing his head against the hull of a ship hard enough to make it wobble. “We come in peace, and you accuse us of treachery? How dare you?”

The human captain sighed at the emerald serpent’s brashness. “Course. Of course it has to happen this way. There’s always that one hot-headed, disgruntled lad that seeks trouble.” He bowed over the railing of the ship with a bored expression on his face to look right at Shriszra. “Leader, or whatever your kind calls you, would you mind slapping your loud-mouthed friend back inside the water? I liked him better when he minded his manners.”

Shriszra sent Orzen back, though even she had to admit that Vegrauhn made her feel more than uneasy. His rogues wasted no time in diving into the water, scouring through the carts with their greedy hands, breaking corals and tarnishing the kelp before the disapproving eyes of the serpents.

“Those corals are the pride of our seas! The kelp, so young it barely turned blue. Is there need of such roughness?” Ferlian said to a group of sailors. Words. The only thing he could do under the caws of the watchful gryphons.

“Aye.” One of the sailors said. A simple answer to a simple question.

“I can’t blame my boys for being thorough.” Vegrauhn said from above. “Khar’Valeigh has been constantly besieged by peace offerings such as this. Only, the chests were filled with the foulest of poisons. I saw men spit out their flesh through their noses. An entire ship, destroyed, because one of your explosive spheres was secreted beneath that precious kelp you so love.”

“As if humans are so different than us.” Orzen pushed his head back out of the waves once more. “I lost brave sons to your spears! Daughters too gentle to even know how to defend themselves perished before they even had the chance to build their own families. And when my last family settled near Grustvar to provide your lot with the bounty of the seas, you enslaved them! I lost all belief in peace. My will to live even, knowing my flesh and blood was whored or chopped into pieces to be served with spices upon a human’s table. Peace? Peace is the lie we tell ourselves to sleep at night.”

“Wise words, brute. You just condemned yourself to the same fate as your family.” Vegrauhn pointed a finger at Orzen’s angry face. “Men, there’s just been a bounty placed on that loud mouth’s head.”

“NO!” Shriszra slapped the water with all the strength she could muster. “Don’t listen to him. We must be better. We must-“

Piercing screeches turned Shriszra’s attention back to her pod, where the diving gryphons snatched the helpless serpents straight out of the waters. Her heart shrunk. Her body froze. All her dreams, her ambitions, ruined before her very eyes.

A blinding burst sealed her eyes shut, and Shriszra instinctively delved beneath the waves to avoid the storm of splinters that washed over land and sky alike. Only a master crafter could turn harmless spheres into that explosive devastation, and sure enough, Orzen pumped his tail hard to launch another cluster of fiery brightspheres into the damaged ship that howled with a second wave of splattering wood.

Serpents scattered all around the bay, with gryphons swiftly chasing after their tails. The remaining ships flared their sails to maximum capacity to encircle the serpent pod. Sailors flung electric spears into the waters that stunned anyone caught in the vicinity.

There was no way out.

Shriszra felt her muscles spasm with a painful zap. A pair of claws sunk into her hide to wrench her out of the waves. For a moment, she sailed through the air like a dragon…

Then crashed down on the sturdy deck of a ship flying a blue eclipse split apart by a flaming spear.

“Well well…it seems the princess herself graces us with her presence.” Vegrauhn kneeled beside her stunned head. “D’you see now where your peace leads? It’d have been better if you just spoke the fockin’ truth.”

“N-no,” Shriszra stuttered. All around her men pointed fingers and made rude jests at the spasms that still wrecked her body apart. “I’mmmm, I’m nn-not…”

“A king? A cunt? A traitor?” Vegrauhn placed his boot on her neck. “The lying bastard who promises peace only to ram me in the fockin’ ass?”

Shriszra coughed and rasped under the merciless kicks that rocked her body apart. Three of them came, each harder than the last, aimed into her chest to inflict the maximum amount of pain. As she lay there, struggling to breathe, the bearded monstrosity crouched down to lay a hand on her pained snout.

“Oh, shush, little snake. I am going to tell you how it’s going to be from now on. Or better, I’ll show you.”

Vegrauhn snapped his fingers. A group of more than ten men picked Shriszra by the fins, spikes, everything they could get their hands on to drag her to the edge of the deck so she could see her serpents. Brethren. Friends she talked, ate, and joked with squirmed helplessly in the nets of the humans.

“See them?” The captain, scourge of the blue seas, forced her retreating head back to the grisly sight. “Take a good look at my catch, princess. I am not going to hurt them, no. Like your loud-mouth friend said, a living serpent has plenty more uses than a dead one.”

“No…no, please. We came… in peace. This is a missssunderstanding.”

“Then cough up your price!” the human snarled in her face. “What is the life of a prince worth to your kind?”

“My father…he’s…he’s the…”

“He’s going to flood my town with riches, that it?” the heavy slap pushed Shriszra’s head over the edge of the ship. “Is your daddy going to come and save your sorry ass? No. No no no no no.” Shriszra found herself picked back up, forced once more to stare at her captive kin. Vegrauhn slid his hand over the back of her head gently, like he would pet a dog, but every touch, every journey those fingers made over her scales filled Shriszra with the most heinous rage that existed.

“You know, snake, in another life, at another time, we could have been friends. Imagine that. You and me on the beach, having a nice, pleasant conversation. A sight to balm wounded hearts, isn’t it?”

“It…it isn’t too late.”

“It is! It sure focken is.”

The slap returned, and Shriszra’s head rang with pain and rage.

“I had my fill of the slimy filth that’s pouring out of your maw. You serpents pretend to care about others when in truth, you are all nothing but beasts. You need to be taught a lesson, again and again, until it becomes so firmly rooted in your minds that obedience is all you know. Serving, all that you live for.”

Vegrauhn concluded his lecture with a punch that sent Shriszra back on the deck, blackening her vision.

“Captain,” Vegrauhn turned to one of his men. “Have the gryphons cull five of the weakest ones. And bring me the head of that loud-mouthed green who splintered my ship apart. It’s time daddy is reintroduced to his family.”

“No…” Shriszra winced. “Don’t do this.”

Vegrauhn smiled at the serpent tail that coiled around his feet, soft and feeble.

“You… can’t do this!” Shriszra begged him again.

“Can’t I? Hmmm…actually, you might be right.” He kicked off the tail to grab his captain’s shoulder. “Belay that command. The snake has a better idea.”

“Really? Are you going to listen to this creature?”

“My friend, there comes a day when a prince becomes a king, and ruling is such an awful burden to bear. Kings have to deal with so many awful decisions, so how about…” Vegrauhn kneeled once again beside the head of the dazed serpent. “How about you pick the snakes that are going to die, princess?”

Shriszra shook her trembling head. That’s all she could do when even words refused to part with her lips.

“Oh, you’re not getting out of this so easily. Look at me, snake. At me!” Vegrauhn snapped his fingers, and two men immediately pulled Shriszra up on the ship’s railing. “Three snaps of my fingers. Five snakes. And if you hesitate…well, I’m just going to kill one every second before you find your fockin’ voice.”

Vegrauhn snapped his fingers once, though the sound barely registered through all the distress.

He snapped them a second time. With tears in her eyes, Shriszra picked her first target. Orzen. An old serpent who’d undoubtedly welcome death as a friend. For him, being reunited with his loved ones was a relief, but the others…the others were not so lucky. Every time she appointed another serpent, Shriszra became lesser, as if the very essence of what made her her died with the serpents. By the end of it all, she became an empty husk who no longer cared about Vegrauhn’s so called reward. It took two gryphons to fly her onto an abandoned shore, and three men to bind her under the gaze of the blinding sun.

“It isn’t exactly a vacation, but you have performed some horrid deeds this day. Wouldn’t be right for you to go unpunished, princess or not.” Vegrauhn crouched next to the serpent’s trapped, broken body. “I will send for you in three days. I believe that’s a proper amount of time to get this wet skin of yours used to the land you so crave to conquer. Make peace with yourself, snake. Were I a cruel man, I would’ve had you soiled by my gryphons. Some of my men…how to put it…have desires for beastly couplings. Think about that while you waste away in the sun.”

Vegrauhn’s departure mended no wounds. Vengeance was all that festered in Shriszra’s mind for hours. Then, at sunset, something unexpected happened. A lone gryphon descended on her little island with a figure upon his back. The young boy approached her shily, as if the bound serpent could snap out of her fetters at any moment.

He drew up his sword.

Shriszra hissed in reflex.

“No,” the boy slowly lifted his arms. “I’m here to free you. See? Those. It’s those I need to cut.” He pointed at the ropes that bound her body to the scorching sands.

Freedom…as if that meant anything. Shriszra’s hopes died along the serpents that perished. Though it was the humans that performed the horrible deed, to Shriszra, it felt as if her own talons robbed the serpents of everything they could have been. If she only turned back, like the scouts advised…

“I’m going to cut these ropes now. Stand still.”

Shriszra did just that. She waited like a statue, lifeless and static, feeling no joy in the wake of impending freedom.

“Hey. Hey, serpent lady. Don’t give up just yet.” The boy gently poked at her tail with his foot. “I know how you must feel. The pain, the helplessness…it gets easier.” He sheathed his sword and walked a few steps towards Shriszra’s languid head. “You know…my own father died in the war when I was too young to even hold a sword properly. Find something you care about. Something you love more than yourself. Like I did.” The boy waved his gryphon closer and made him chirp with a few well placed scratches under his sonorous beak. “This is Hruthvir. He is more than a brother to me. A partner in hunting, a guard who watches my back, and when needs be, a source of comfort. Do you have someone you live for too?”

Shriszra gave no reply. She did not move even after the boy left and the sky turned black.

Only when the moon’s silvery light illuminated her little patch of land did she finally start to remember all the good times in her life. Those joyful moments when she broke through the waves with her mate Edward upon her back. A human who became so much more than just a somebody she rescued. More than an acquaintance, a slave, or a friend.

A mate who needed her more than the dead serpents she mourned for.

Shriszra forced herself back into the cold waters. It took a long time to reach her native waters, but after a grueling, lonely swim, she finally made her way back to Edward’s home. Her mate was overjoyed at her unexpected arrival. He fetched Shriszra the sweetest of fish and prepared the softest coral bed for her weary body to rest upon.

“I need a moment to…” Shriszra swam to a corner where she began crying in silence. “I failed them. I failed everyone…”

Edward embraced her head within his warm arms. He tried very hard to keep the darkness at bay once the tumultuous waves of her feelings started to pour out. Shriszra recounted everything that went wrong with her dream of peace, from the fateful decision to press onwards, to Vegrauhn’s last resort.

“Maybe if I stayed in my place. If I never rose up against Nagash, my father would have sssssent a sssssmarter serpent to-“

Edward pressed his lips against her cold, scaly ones. “Say that again, and I’ll slap you…” his warm tongue slithered along Shriszra’s snout, warm and tender. “Though we both know you’d like my hands in another place right now.”

Edward’s began to press and rub his fingers against her vent. In the past, it would have coaxed a lot more than a whimper of pleasure, but even that low, suave sound emboldened the human to press on with increasingly clever tactics.

“Edward…now’s not the time to…” Shriszra’s tail jerked through the waters, teeth baring shut as a hiss escaped through her jaws. “Please…not. Not your….ssssaaaarrrrrhhhh!” It was too late now, when his warm lips completely enveloped the most sensitive part of her body. Edward expertly coiled his tongue around her increasingly sensitive clit, his lips suckling on her little nub of bliss while the rest of his tongue attacked the insides of the spasming vent in ways not even Shriszra’s inner darkness could suppress, because at her core, she wanted this.

She craved to be here, in the warm embrace of her beloved mate.

Shriszra thrust herself body and soul into the hot embrace of her mate. She pumped her tail around him again and again, each throb making her more tender, more sensitive to the oppressive nest of heat that was Edward’s hungry mouth. The horny human had a good hold on her tail with his hands, but Shriszra still managed to coil the tip around his middle. Together, the two amorous creatures crashed into the bed of soft corals where they continued their loving affairs. Shriszra whined, thrust, and thrashed while Edward moved his head up and down along her crevice to stimulate her mating hole in wonderful ways.

Shriszra didn’t even announce her climax. It all came crashing down like a lightning surge that paralyzed her entire body. Convulsing under the ripples of pleasure worked by her mate’s suckling jaws, Shriszra’s pussy pulsated with the finality of release.

Shriszra thrust herself hard against his hot face, burning with the need to give herself to her beloved. Sharp jets of cold femcum blasted in Edward’s maw, and, unable to cope with the potent load of her alkaline juices, his jaws parted briefly to allow wisps of chalky fluids to wash over the coral bed.

“So sweet, my beloved serpentess,” Edward mumbled right before he dug back into her juicy pussy. A few minutes later, after a thorough feast, he emerged with a face covered in her sticky juices to make another comment on how tasty Shriszra’s essence was. For the princess, there was no higher praise than that. With gritted jaws and short thrusts of her tail, Shriszra forced her body to give everything it had until the lull of release made her too weak to even whimper out her gratitude.

“Nothing?” he joked with a sly smile on his satisfied face. “All that hard work made my jaws ache, and my dear mate gives me nothing. Not even a bloody thanks for sucking all those worries out of you.”

Shriszra tried to embrace him instead. Edward however proved too quick for her feeble attempts. He fell upon her, his erect member finding an easy passage into the smooth, relaxed vent.

“Oh…” Shriszra whined in the hot, muscular embrace of her mate. Edward began to pump his hips, slow, with gentle thrusts meant to gauge his partner’s reaction.

Shriszra hardly believed how good it felt to have her vent filled by his cock, even after release. Her whines emboldened his mate, who picked up his pace for about twenty thrusts before he too gave into his orgasm with a trembling scream of feral bliss.

“Well, that’s embarrassing,” Edward said once the two entangled themselves in a relaxing post-coital position. “I was hoping I could be a dragon, not a whelp who spends himself within the first few thrusts.”

“You lasted a lot more than that.”

“A lot more.” He chuckled. “Your definition of that word needs adjustment.”

“Mrrhm,” Shriszra grunted. Dragons. Even with all their technology and magic, humans were hardly a match for dragons. With a squad of wyrms at her side, Shriszra could convince more than a small port town to consider peace.

“Thinking again?”

Shriszra tried to grab onto the sneaky tongue that slathered her lips with the taste of love.

“Too slow. Slow again. Are you even trying, my love?”

“No,” Shriszra admitted. “I actually think I figured a way to achieve lassssting peace.”

“Mmmhm. And does this long, lasting peace start with my arm deep inside the vent I just filled?”

Shriszra gave a lazy dip of her head. She needed more time to perfect her plan, yet for now, she was simply content to enjoy the affections of her beloved mate.
