Malcolm wasn't looking forward to starting at college. The University of Beldover was not his first choice. However, the arrival of a new Fox professor might just liven things up.

Chapter Thirty Seven to follow soon...

"You've no idea how much I've missed this."

I rolled over and fixed Lachlan a grin. His eyes twinkled as he smiled back.

"It's not been that long since we last woke up together, but after these past few days it does feel like eternity," he agreed.

Words could not describe how nice it was to be waking up beside Lachlan and not upset or alone at Aunt Ruth's. After eating the pizza I'd messaged Aunt Ruth and my mum claiming I was sleeping over at a friend's (I hoped my mum wouldn't assume I meant Lachlan), my car had broken down.

Lachlan had driven back out to ensure it was towed away safely before he returned and led me to bed.

Next had come the usual but wonderful ritual of watching him undress. I thumped my tail as his pyjamas came off and his muscular, naked body stood before me. Lachlan had fixed me a grin before lifting up the covers for us to climb under. We hadn't had sex, but just sleeping beside him was enough for me. Any concerns I'd had about going to Lachlan's being a bad idea had melted away.

I smiled as I thought about last night before reaching over to stroke his cheek fluff. Lachlan responded with another smile as he kissed me.

"This feels amazing," I whispered, although in my mind I knew I was supposed to have the compulsory class that afternoon.

Lachlan seemed to read my thoughts.

"You're thinking of class, aren't you?"

"Yeah," I sighed. "I don't know what to do about it."

"You might not like this idea, but you should go in," Lachlan said firmly.

"Go in?"

"Yes, staying away will only prompt more talk and speculation. You have to carry on as if everything is perfectly normal," he insisted.

The idea of going to class and having everyone's eyes gazing at me or whispers and giggles behind my back was not an attractive prospect.

I let out a deep sigh.

Lachlan reached over and cupped the sides of my face in his paws. I tried fixing him a reassuring smile as he licked my nose.

"Do you know who is teaching it today?" I asked.

"The good news is it isn't Stenning-Brown," Lachlan chuckled. "The bad news is it's not me, well I couldn't teach it anyway now."

His words caused my ears to splay.

"Are you mad at me?" I asked nervously.

"Mad at you?" he repeated, cocking an ear.

"For getting you into trouble?"

Lachlan fixed me another warm smile before kissing my cheek.

"I think we both got ourselves into trouble," he said thoughtfully. "I did more of it than you by leading you to my gym, taking you on holiday." I wasn't sure what to say so I responded with a nod. "How about I make us some breakfast and then we'll figure out how to get you to campus?"

"Okay," I replied.

Lachlan stood and I tried pushing my worries away so I could admire the sight of his body. The morning light shone through the curtains, highlighting his muscles and the tattoos on his body.

"How long have I got until class?" I asked in a dejected tone.

"About four hours," Lachlan said, glancing at the bedside clock.

A grin spread across my muzzle as I patted the space next to me.

"Then we have plenty of time before class," I said, trying to put on a sensual tone although I could feel my voice crack at the end.

Lachlan sat down on the bed and took my paws in his.

"Do you feel up for this?" he asked. "Sex works best if you're happy."

"I do," I said firmly.

I reached out and stroked a paw down his muscular chest, gently raking my claws through his chest fur until I reached the Celtic tattoo on the lower part of his torso.

Lachlan grinned, closed his eyes and let out his gentle purring, growling sound. My claws traced lower until I reached his balls and already semi-erect cock. Lachlan cocked his head and fixed me a smile as I began feeling his balls in my paw, gently kneading them and testing how heavy they felt.

"Heh, I can tell you're keen," Lachlan said with a wry chuckle.

"On a scale of one to ten, how much of a bad idea is this?" I asked, gently rubbing the tip of his cock with my thumb.

"Probably a solid ten."

He climbed back onto the bed and I reached out to feel him again. The tip of his cock was glistening with pre. I shuffled over and licked at the tip, tasting his sweet pre before I closed my mouth around his shaft.

I felt Lachlan place his paw between my ears. He gently pushed me forwards as I sucked on him. His pre was hitting my tongue and I lapped it up, savouring the taste. I couldn't help but pull away and grin as he let out another rumbling, growling sound, before I began rolling my tongue over his balls.

Now, I'm not an expert on the body, but I could tell by how heavy his balls were that Lachlan had not cum in a good few days.

I kept licking and sucking at them.

"You've gotten really good at this darling," Lachlan said, reaching down to stroke me between the ears.

I continued to suck his balls as I sensed him reach down to stimulate his cock. He was panting and letting out something between small squeaks and groaning sounds.

Without warning he gently pushed me down on the bed and angled his cock towards my face. I closed my lips around the tip and felt the warm thickness of his load shoot into my muzzle. There was a lot of it, but I kept myself in place, taking as much as I could.

"Gosh, that was a lot," I panted as I collapsed back onto the pillows.

"I hope it wasn't too much," Lachlan replied as he laid down beside me and stroked my face.

I responded with a grin before leaning over to kiss him. Lachlan put his paw behind my head and kissed me back, sliding his tongue into my mouth.

"Can you taste yourself?" I chuckled, momentarily breaking away. Lachlan responded with a grin before leaning in to kiss me again, but he paused and cocked an ear. "Is something wrong?" I asked, but then I heard the sound of the house phone ringing.

"I'll be right back," Lachlan said, fixing me a playful grin followed by a kiss.

He slid off the bed and I momentarily admired the sight of his muscular behind before he disappeared from the room.

I sighed, knowing I had to brush my fangs very hard or chew some gum before class. Turning up with my breath smelling of dick would no doubt add fuel to the fire.

Lachlan's voice drifted into the bedroom and I listened out.

"I understand. No I wouldn't do that. It's best he's left out of it. Well, he's already in a precarious state, hauling him in for an interrogation won't help. Yes, I understand it's not an interrogation, but that's how it'll come across. No, I know I'm not a position to make requests, but that's how I feel."

I crept to the bedroom door, hoping to make out more of what Lachlan was saying rather than just the tail-end of sentences.

"Thank you for being understanding. He's done nothing wrong. Yes I'll come in. Very well then."

That was followed by the sound of the phone being put down and footsteps heading back to the bedroom.

I hurried back to bed and flopped down.

Lachlan appeared at the door at second later. The playful smile had disappeared and his face was solemn.

"I should have known," he sighed.

"What is it?"

"The university want to have another talk with me to clarify more things," he explained. "I hope that after this they'll leave me alone."

"I'm sorry," I said, reaching out to touch his toned chest.

There was a question on my mind that I desperately wanted to ask, but Lachlan spoke before I had a chance.

"Don't be, you've done nothing wrong. We need to stop thinking of ourselves as criminals. But I'd best drop you back at your aunt's place rather than campus, so we don't poke the hornet's nest any further."

The idea of not driving with Lachlan to campus I splayed my ears and nodded.

"Please, can we shower together?" I asked.

Lachlan paused, and then something close to his usual smile appeared on his muzzle.

"Yes," he said, reaching out to take my paw.

I wagged my tail as Lachlan led me towards the bathroom and to the shower cubicle.

"I've missed this," I grinned as he turned on the water and opened the door for me to climb in.

I stood under the warm jet and Lachlan climbed in, closing the door behind him. I wrapped my arms around his muscular body and wrested my head against his chest, hugging him close as the water trickled down us.

"Feels better than being out in the rain?" Lachlan asked with chuckle.

"Much better," I replied, pressing my face into him.

We stood in silence for a minute, allowing the water to cascade down and clean us. Lachlan reached over my shoulder and grabbed some shampoo. I smiled as he squeezed some onto his paw and began massaging it into my fur.

"Here," he said, turning me around.

I felt him smooth the shampoo into my back before he eased me under the water for it to rinse away.

"I feel better now," I grinned.

"Good," Lachlan said as he reached to shut the water off. "I fear today will be a long one for both of us, so facing it clean and fresh is the least we can do."

He opened the door and we both stepped out.

My towel was hanging on the heated rack. Lachlan reached out and handed it to me as I shook myself dry.

"Another bad habit I was supposed to have grown out of," I said with a shrug.

"I'm not judging you," Lachlan replied as he reached for his own towel. "I'm thinking something quick but filling for breakfast if we are to face today."

Although I enjoyed eating with Lachlan, the prospect of having to leave his apartment soon made me lose my appetite.

Still, I followed Lachlan from the bathroom and padded along behind him to the kitchen.

I sat at the table while he began investigating the fridge and cupboards.

"I'm not too hungry," I admitted.

"It's important that you eat, but if you don't want something too heavy how about some granola?" Lachlan suggested.

"That sounds fine."

I watched as he poured some into two bowls and added milk.

"Tea, coffee?"

"Tea please, do you have any green tea left?"

"I do," Lachlan said, retrieving the bags and placing them into two cups. He flicked the switch on the kettle and sat down opposite me. The warm smile had gone from his muzzle and his expression was serious. "Whatever happens today Malcolm, I want you to remain strong and resilient. I know you're a confidant young man, you can weather this."

"Thanks," I replied, not feeling sure whether to be unnerved or encouraged by the pep talk. "Will you be okay?"

"I've been trapped behind a wall in a small town in Iraq whilst being shot at, so I can probably survive this," Lachlan said wryly. "I'm more concerned about you, and I don't say that in a patronising way. I don't want you getting dragged down too. You need to remember that whatever happens today, you have a future and you'll graduate with a history degree."

"You're talking like you're doomed," I said. My stomach felt tight and I realised my paws were shaking.

"Not doomed, but I want to be prepared for whatever they have in store," Lachlan sighed. "But whatever it is, I'll be ready."

I nodded as I ate my granola. I wasn't hungry so I forced it down my throat with large gulps of milk.

Lachlan retrieved the tea and set my cup down on the table.

"Thanks," I said, taking a sip.

The liquid was hot, but I continued to drink anyway.

"Careful you don't burn yourself," Lachlan said. He sat down opposite me and took a sip of his own tea. "If I'm quiet I'm not ignoring you, I'm just off in my own head," he explained. "I tend to get contemplative in situations like this."

"Okay," I replied, feeling nervous again.

I finished my breakfast and drank the rest of my tea as Lachlan sat in silence and sipped his. I tried reading his face, but his expression was unreadable.

"We should probably get dressed," he eventually said.

I nodded and got to my hind-paws.

Lachlan had left my clothes on a collapsible rack near the fireplace. I brushed my paw against my shirts. They felt dry enough, so I grabbed one along with a clean pair of briefs and socks, before dressing myself.

I was pleased to see my toothbrush was still in the bathroom. I began brushing my fangs and Lachlan joined me a minute later, although to my mild disappointment he was now clothed. I noticed he was wearing the same pale blue shirt from the day I'd first set eyes on him.

"Let's pack your bag and then we'll head off," Lachlan said, squeezing toothpaste onto his own brush.

I nodded, spat my toothpaste out and made my way back to living room. The fire from last night had died down, the curtains were still drawn and Lachlan's clothes were still strewn over the armchair. Still, even in its unkempt state I hoped I would soon be back in the living room. I'd come to regard it as my home. I breathed out a heavy sigh as I stuffed the rest of my clothes into my rucksack.

Lachlan appeared a moment later.

"Ready?"

I nodded and followed him to the front door. The excitement of being intimate in bed was fading as we walked down the stairs, but I kept my muzzle up as I followed my boyfriend outside.

As I climbed into Lachlan's car my phone buzzed. I wondered if it was the garage texting to say they'd fixed my car, but to my mild surprise I saw it was a message from Hudson.

Dude, don't wanna worry ya, but have you seen the meme page? I'm trying to report all of it

I frowned as I brought Facebook up on my phone.

"Is something wrong?" Lachlan asked as he reversed out of the carport.

"Just a message from Hudson," I replied in the most neutral tone I could manage.

I didn't want to add any further stress to Lachlan's situation.

The page began loading slowly as we reached the road, but then we drove through the signal blind spot and the page was replaced by a buffering symbol. I cursed under my breath and put my phone away. There was no point in worrying about whatever was on there until I got to Aunt Ruth's and had internet again.

Lachlan drove along in silence I could tell there was a lot weighing on his mind. I felt the same way and I glanced out of the window to distract myself.

"You'll be okay getting to campus without me?" Lachlan asked.

"I will," I said, knowing I wasn't in a position to say please drive me.

Lachlan nodded before reaching out to take my paw and give it a quick squeeze.

The outskirts of Beldover were approaching and I took a deep breath as I realised the turning for Aunt Ruth's street was coming.

Lachlan turned into it and pulled up outside her house. Aunt Ruth's Volvo wasn't on the drive and I allowed myself to breathe a sigh of relief, but the feeling was short lived as Lachlan brought the car to a stop.

"Be strong my dear Shep," he said, leaning over to kiss my cheek.

The scent of fox and aftershave filled my nose and I savoured it before Lachlan pulled away again. I felt like my heart was in my mouth as I reached for the door.

"Thank you, I love you my dear fox," I whispered.

"I love you too," Lachlan replied.

I fixed him a brave smile as I climbed out and closed the door, but the smile faltered as I watched his Audi reverse and drive away.

My sense of despondence didn't go away as I let myself into the house and hurried up to my room.

I know it's a bad idea before class, but I want to see what people are saying about me now.

I opened my laptop and held my breath as I found the Facebook page.

There were a couple more memes there, well I call them memes; one was just crude drawing someone had done and posted online. It showed a stick figure of what I assume was supposed to be a fox (although he was grey) bending another stick figure over a desk with the words Pervert Professor written over it. The other showed a photo of a stereotypical looking gay badger with the text Hey kids, I've cum to teach your classes today.

I clicked on each meme and the names of the people who posted them were public. It wasn't anyone I recognised.

People from outside my class or even the university are joining in?

I felt sick knowing it was spreading and angry that they had accused Lachlan of being pervert, but at least they didn't even seem to know what species Lachlan was.

"You idiots, Lachlan isn't grey, nor is he that skinny," I muttered, and then I felt surprised at how strong my voice seemed.

I scrolled down the comments, expecting to see more mocking and vitriol.

I admit I was surprised, either Hudson had reported everything, or people were starting to fight back. Some comments were mocking, there was still the odd Lol or haha, but what followed beneath was interesting.

Really not cool :(

This is going too far

Gay men are not all pervs ffs, if this relationship actually happened at Beldover Uni they would have both been adults. This is abusive. If they wanna date, just let them

Wtf, people are messed up. This isn't funny, just childish

Clearly if you're that obsessed with gay people you have a problem

_So what if someone wants to date their professor. They're not harming anyone, it's their choice. You guys are probably jealous :P _

They're not breaking the law or anything. So long as the lecturer isn't giving him better grades cuz of it, I don't have a problem. What people do in their lives is their business

Now, I find the concept of gaining "likes" on social media a shallow thing, but something pleased me in the fact the bottom two comments had the most amount of likes than anything else on the page.

And then I saw something that really surprised me.

Adam Bolton Comparing gay guys to peados is juvenile. We're at university, not school anymore. Gay men are not the issue here, could have easily been a girl and a guy, and everyone involved was over 18. You guys should grow up

I did a double take. It was certainly the same Adam I knew; profile picture and everything.

Underneath Adam's post the comments were mostly abusive or dismissive.

Why are you defending them?

Shut up, you know nothing

They called him a perv not a paedophile. Know the difference you fucking moron

But as I watched, supportive comments started appearing.

Agree!

This^

Indeed, whatever happened don't blame gay ppl. These jokes aren't funny

Agree, and I reported these memes to the admins

I don't have a problem with them dating if this rumour is true

I just sat in stunned silence for a minute, not feeling sure what emotion to process first; anger at the drawings or relief that some people were standing up for me.

If people were starting to come to mine and Lachlan's defence, I knew there was a chance I could see this through.
