The Demonic King

"What was that?" said Esper looking around with his eyes wide

"That was Viento."

"Your sword?"

"I'm sick of going through Zach to talk with others." Said Viento

"Yes and I think he is right. Esper you don't need to hear this and I'm sick of talking. It's time for me to take over this kingdom and fix this world." Said Zach Rising Viento to strike

Esper opened the door and ran as fast as he could. Zach just smiled and walked through the door with Viento at his side. Esper made it to the end of the hall and yelled "Help there is an intruder in my room. Kill him before he gets to me."

Zach reached a wide room where a good 25 Knights stood all holding swords ready to strike. Most of them had served under him when he was the king's knight but now they were just in his way. Zach smiled and held up Viento and said "Do you mind if I take them by myself."

"It's fine with me my lord. I don't feel like killing weaklings like them." Said Viento

Zach sheathed the twin blades and smiled standing there with his arms held down. One of the knights smiled and yelled "He is unarmed kill him."

It was the last thing they ever did. As they ran toward him Zach first opened his wings using them to block the swords. Zach twisted around the first Knight and punched him in the side. His ribs collapsed and he flew across the room. The next two that ran at him fell as the light turned into a sharp blade in his hands. They fell with their head missing. The final two dropped their weapons and fell to their knees one saying "Please show us mercy."

"I don't know the meaning of that word." Said Zach but he dropped his hands and smiled.

The two of them looked relieved for only a moment then they started to scream grabbing their heads. Blood started to come from their eyes, nose, and ears as they screamed. Then the two of them fell dead before there Screams left the room. A golden glow in Zach's eyes faded and he stepped over the bodies moving down the hall where Esper had run.

The hall lead up to one of the towers where Archers watched the south gate and it had a good view of the city and the main court yard. He smiled knowing that the king was helpless now. There were only two ways off that tower, one was the hallway, the other way was to jump. He was sure the king would stick with the one that meant life....or so he thought.

He slowly drew Viento and moved up the stairs and out onto the platform. As his head made it through the door five arrows shot at him. He only smiled and jumped into the air opening his wings. He swooped down and killed the archers in one sweep. Then he saw the king trying to hide in a shadowed corner. Zach landed on the edge of the wall and smiled down at him.

"Please don't do this Zach please. We can work together and make this world ours. Please I'm sorry for what I did before please don't kill me." Said Esper tears running down his aged face

Zach only smiled and jumped and flipped in the air facing the king when he landed. He kneeled down like he did when he was first knighted then slowly he pressed Viento into Esper's chest. The king started to scream but Zach took the other sword of Viento and Pressed it into Esper's Stomach. Esper started to spit blood as he tried to yell but the blood was now in his lungs. After a couple of minutes passed the king stopped yelling and trying to get away and he locked his eyes with Zach's and smiled saying in a weak voice "The Monster....Savage was...right. My reign as king...was soon...to...be over. Zach...you...are a fool. You will rule as the king for a while but...you will...lose the one you love...then...you will be all alone...for...ever. Zach started to laugh madly and said "I have great power and you will all die for what you have done this day. Viento is my partner and would never lie to me. I guess this is good bye old friend and my great love." And with that he Drew Viento so fast that Amy barely block him in time.

Nik took his chance and ran up from behind swinging Silver Paw trying to cut Zach's back. Zach twisted around and undid Viento and used one of the Twin blades to block the attack. Amy and Nik looked shocked as Zach pushed them back making them fly a good fifty feet away. He smiled then slashed at the air quickly. There was a big boom and the night sky got blacker as a dark light filled the air. When if faded Nik looked around to see blood everywhere. It seemed like almost everyone apart from Amy and himself had been ripped to shreds in that blast.

Zach just chuckled and started to run after Amy who was laying on the ground trying to get a Rock wall off her legs so she could get her sword. Nik jumped to his feet and knew he had to use that ace now. He felt in the back of his mind for the power that he had been holding back; it was the rage he had obtained through his symbiosis with the wolf he fought so long ago. His temper flared, markings glowing bright, and he felt his strength grow. He ran toward Zach moving so fast that even the great Reaper didn't have time to block the punch Nik gave him.

For a split second they looked at each other before Nik's punch lands on his right cheek and Zach flies into a brick wall of a house smashing it. A second later Zach jumped out of the now destroyed home and flies into the air. He kept Viento in two pieces, as he smiles down at Nik the full moon shining bright behind him giving him a sinister look to him. He then starts to roar as a ball of black light formed in front of him. Then Zach slashed at it with Viento and shooting it towards Nik.

Half way down towards him the ball turned into an energy blast a lot like the one that had almost killed Nik last time. Nik pulled at his power and put it into Silver Paw then slashed at the energy blast. A Sonic Boom shot from the blade cutting the blast into half. Both half's landed on each side of Nik and exploded blinding him with dark light but made no sound.

Zach hovered in the air, a little surprised and angry that his attack had not worked like it had last time. Nik glared up at his friend, eyes narrowed into slits, sword held at the ready. A small smile starting to form on his lips, Zach flew backwards slowly high up in the sky before swooping down, both blades in his hand ready to strike quickly. Seeing this, Nik started running forwards toward the Demon King, picking up speed until he kicked off the ground with a sonic boom, launching into the air to meet the attack. Both of them swung their blades and metal locked together, Nik and Zach falling to the ground with a hard thud, Zach picking himself up first and landing a kick to Nik's side, making him cough and lurch.

"Time for you to learn a very harsh lesson," Zach growled with a smile, raising both blades up to stab downwards; before he could even reach the apex of his attack, however, Nik shot up and slammed his head into Zach's gut, doubling over the wolfox with a wheeze, while Nik moved to his back and, slipping a very small dagger from his belt and driving the half-inch steel into the spot between Zach's wings. Zach howled with pain, the tiny blade sticking into the nerve center for his wings before being pulled free, Zach's wings overwhelmed with numbness; Nik looked at the somewhat bloody dagger and tossed it aside, "You're arrogance just cost you the use of your wings for the rest of this fight."

"I'll make you regret that," Zach spat, charging back at Nik; the Demon King lashed out with one blade, which was predictably blocked by Silver Paw, while the other, the sharp edge cutting through the blue fur and slicing his flesh, making Nik pull back with a hiss. Metal clashed upon metal again and again, the twin blades of Viento striking against Silver Paw as the two canines fought, the edges occasionally cutting skin or fur. Zach blocked a heavy downward swing from Nik, laughing as he caught the blade between his as Nik tried to pull it free, not noticing the foxwolf's free hand come sailing up to strike him under the chin, making him reel back. Nik made a sweeping arc towards Zach's feet, but the demon jumped up and kicked out, catching Nik in the chest. Both of them were panting hard, fur stained with splotches of blood, one of Zach's eyes puffed up and half closed while Nik struggled to keep on his feet.

"Now, strike him down now," Viento urged. Zach obeyed and made a short dash towards Nik, swiping with both blades the same direction. With great effort, Nik held up his sword to block the twin swipes long enough for him to take a step forward and slam his heel onto Zach's foot, making the Demon King loose his grip on his swords so Nik could wrench them out of his grasp, both blades flying into the darkening sky and landing on the ground. Zach, now weaponless, stood before the still armed Nik, the thunder clouds moving above them, streaks of lightning flashing out followed by a booming thunder. Nik paused for a moment, then tossed his sword to the side, the tip burying into the ground just as rain droplets began to fall, raising his fists up in a fighting stance. "No more weapons," Nik said plainly, "Just what God gave us."

Zach grinned, flexing his claws and standing at the ready, "You should have killed me when you had a chance of winning." The two slowly circled closer together, rain water lightly drenching them, washing some of the blood off their fur and clothes. Zach made the first move, swiping out with his claws; Nik easily evaded the first strike, but the second punch to his shoulder was unavoidable, dark energy searing from Zach's fist, adding to the pain. Nik caught his balance and readied himself, watching as Zach lashed out again with a dark energy infused punch; Nik avoided the fist, pushing the rest of the arm away with one hand while his knee rose up to connect with Zach's stomach, lurching him over for Nik's fist to slam into with the full force of a sonic boom behind it. Zach flew back and hit the ground, quickly getting back up and charging at Nik, the foxwolf running towards him as well, both fully charged with power; they both thrust their fists forward and they connected with each other, the clash of energy causing the water on the ground to fly up off the ground and away from them in a shock wave that sent both reeling back off balance. Nik was the first to recover this time and made a sonic leap, covering the distance between them and knocking Zach to the ground with Nik on top. Raising a fist up, Nik brought down like a hammer onto the side of Zach's face, striking him twice before Zach caught the third blow and thudded his fist into Nik's side, taking his chance to roll them over and be the one on top. Zach started to try and claw out Nik's eyes, trying to get past his arms that kept him from doing so; in a desperate move, Nik lunged forward and bit down on Zach's hand tight, drawing blood as he howled in pain and rolled off him, the two of them panting and grunting. Zach roared and swung at Nik, striking him the face, only to get a punch in return, the pattern continuing until they locked hands and grappled, trying to overpower one another with their brute strength. Seeing no end to their grapple, Nik and Zach pushed each other a way, gaining a good distance from one another, a pause in the fight ushering in. With a scowl, Zach began to summon his power, gathering the dark energies within him for one big final attack; Nik saw and prepared his own attack, feeling the force of his power surge through his body and concentrate in his hands. Once the two of them hit their maximum, they both roared out and unleashed their powers on one another, the attacks sailing wide from each other and striking their targets dead on, lighting cracking overhead and thunder booming out as the two flew backwards and thudded to the ground, neither of them moving.

Nik slowly began to came to, his body aching all over as he tried to rise; the foxwolf looked over and saw that Zach was also trying to get up now, crawling over to a nearby wall to lift himself up. Nik groaned as he crawled towards Silver Paw, its point buried in the ground, claws digging into the muddy ground. He used every ounce of strength he had left to try and lift himself up using the Blade as a brace.

He was to slow and Zach punched him back to the ground. The Wolfox smiled down at his old friend and said "You see what I mean Nik. You are weak and powerless when compared to me. You should have killed me when you had the chance. Good bye old friend."

Nik closed his eyes ready for the blow that he knew was coming. Then something inside his head that wasn't his voice said "Don't be weak Fox...Now move." And Nik found a bit more energy to jump out of the way then taking Silver Paw in his hands he hit Zach with the Flat end.

The blow hit Zach right on his hurt wing joints and he fell in agony. Nik stood over Zach with Silver Paw held high and he struck down hard. The blade buried itself into the mud next to Zach's head then he said "Don't ever call me weak. Zach wake the fuck up and see what you are doing. You say we betrayed you well hell your doing the same thing. Stop acting like a Child bitching that he didn't get his way. SO what your parents lied to you, so what the girl you loved was a bitch. Stop this bull shit and wake up. Life sucks you have to make do with what your given. I'm your best friend and you know that and I went through hell to make sure you would be safe and alive. If that is not something that shows someone cares for you then you're a fool."

Zach looked into the eyes of Nik and Nik looked into Zach's. The lightning flashed and the thunder rolled as they looked at each other. Then Zach's fur started to fade to a lighter black starting to go back to white and his eyes started to turn green. Nik smiled and so did Zach and for a few seconds it looked like Zach would become his old happy self again.

Then Nik started to yell out as his tattoo's burned and glowed white hot. He looked once more at Zach who's fur went back to black and his smile turned to a snarl. Then a portal opened up behind Nik and him and Silver Paw were pulled in. Nik almost felt like someone had made him into a puppet and the strings were pulling him back. Then the portal closed and Nik was gone.

Zach smiled and howled into the Rainy night. He looked over to where Amy had been trapped under the wall. He saw her running off into the dark night somehow she had gotten free form the wall. He just smiled and let her go, he was hurt and needed to think. He slowly walked over and picked up Viento.

The sword glowed at bit and said "Is it finally over. You are now the King."

Zach Smiled and said "To Be A King, one has to have a kingdom with ones that want to follow their king. But I will make them all want that when they hate the wolves and fox's. That is what it takes To Be A King."

Tamati stood there stood over the blue fox smiling at him and saying "Welcome back mate. It's been a long time Nik."

Nik opened his eyes and looked around finding himself in Dr. Robinson's Lab. Some new device was sitting there smoking and Nik somehow knew that they had used it to get him back to the present day. Nik growled and got up and punched Tamati hard and yelled "You fucking idiot do you know what you just did. Zach's gone nuts and now he is going to take over the world in his day. I almost had him back to normal."

Tamati got up and punched Nik back and said "Hey I just did what I thought was going to save your life mate don't lose it on me for that."

Nik looked at the Doctor and said "Send me back you have to send me back."

"I can Nik it broke again."

Nik looked like his world had collapsed in on him and he started to run for the door "I have to find a way back I can't let my friend end up like that."

Tamati and the Doc tried to stop him but Nik was to quick and he ran off into a stormy night just like it had been 1500 years ago when he fought his best friend. Nik fell in an ally and started to punch a wall and yelled "It's not right why can't I ever fix anything. I can't let another friend lose it again."

Someone put a hand on his shoulder and Nik jumped and looked up. A dark form stood there and he said "Nik calm down. Everything is going to be ok."

Nik got up and looked into the face of a white Wolfox with long silver hear and bright green eyes. But not like they had looked when they first met but like that of a Male who had seen too much of life or more. Nik backed up and said "No that can't be you. I just saw you in the past you lost it and killed so many."

"Nik come with me we both need to talk and I think I have a bit more to tell you then you will for me." Said Zach smiling and helping his friend to his feet.

"I don't understand....how is this possible?" asked Nik

"Now that my friend is a story for another time...."
