Reuben laughed softly, then Raine heard the sound of a kiss to what she assumed was the nose of Nathan. "Nathan, dear... don't take this the wrong way, but you're not exactly part of the young-bachelors crowd anymore."
"Oh Reuben..." Nathan snorted, and giggled. "What do you know? I'd like to think that somewhere, deep inside me, there's a young man."
Reuben's tired snicker rang out. "Yeah yeah... waiting to get out?"
Raine strained her hearing, before she heard Nathan's giggle. "No... I'd just like to think of there being a young man deep inside me."
A loud, dominant snort was heard, before Nathan come back out, laughing and shaking his head, Reuben following him.
Raine sat at the table, her finger sliding around the edge of her orange juice glass, before she burst into laughter. Nathan paused in picking up dishes, then glanced sideways at her.
"You..._heard_that..."
"Dad, trust me - we all have excellent hearing! How could I not?" Raine cackled hysterically, unable to help herself. "I adore you, you know that? You've got such a beautiful mind!"
Reuben moved up behind Nathan, then slid his paws around Nathan's hips and nuzzled his nape. "That's not all that's beautiful on this sexy young Doe..."
"I'm not a Doe!" Nathan grumbled, placing his paws over his lovers and squeezing gently.
"Could have fooled me!" Reuben smirked, then playfully nibbled Nathan's nape again, making the younger Whitetail's knees quiver.
"Dads, please!" Raine laughed, then slammed her paw on the table as she burst into loud and hysterical laughter until she had tears sliding down her muzzle. "Please...stop..."
"Yes, we should - before you get a lesson on rutting deer - " Reuben growled into Nathan's back-swept ears.
"Oh, I don't know..." Nathan murmured, his tail flagging against Reuben's belly. "It might be educational for young Raine!"
"I'm good - " Raine laughed, as she wiped tears from her eyes.
"Sure?" Nathan winked at her, then squealed as Reuben gripped him by the nape and dragged him backwards, out of the dining room.
There was a crash of something being tipped over, a loud thud as a body hit something, then a weak, pitiful moan. A moment later, Nathan's weak giggle echoed through the house.
"Not my fault - " Come Nathan's effeminate laughter.
Shaking her head, Raine downed the last of the orange juice, before she rose and walked to the kitchen, rinsing her glass out and putting it in the dishwasher. Washing her paws, Raine frowned, then went looking for Rodger.
*
Rodger sat on the bed, clutching his head in his paws, great choking sobs wrung from deep within him. He hurried swiped at his eyes with his paws, as Raine poked her head around the corner of the shared bedroom, before she slipped in and shut the door, then ran over and cradled Rodger's head against her belly.
"Honey? What's...wrong - why do you cry so?" Raine whispered, holding him close.
'I..." Rodger whimpered, as he clutched at her like a drowning man. "I..."
"What's wrong love? Please - tell me?" Raine pleaded, caressing his neck gently. "Why is my beloved crying so? Did they say something that hurt you?"
'No...its - its not that - " Rodger whimpered, his claws gripping her fur tightly, making Raine wince in pain.
A quiet knock come at the door, and Raine twisted her head around, to see Nathan shyly poke his nose in. "Honey?"
"Nat...Dad - what's wrong? I'm kind of - occupied right now, its not a good time - "
"Please, may I come in?" Nathan whispered, his tears glistening in his eyes.
"I...what's wrong?" Raine whimpered, glancing at Rodger, then back at Nathan.
Nathan come in, then quietly closed the door behind him, before he dragged a chair over and sat on it, his paws gripping the top of the backrest of the chair, as he shuddered and thought how best to broach a sensitive topic.
"Rodger...please don't cry so sweety!" Nathan whispered. "I - know honey, believe me, you might have fooled dear, sweet, naive Raine...but I know..."
"Dad?" Raine sobbed, her own tears forming. "What do you mean?"
"I'm..." Rodger whimpered, then hung his head and swallowed. "I'm not what you think I am, dear Raine..."
Nathan come over and sat beside Rodger, placing an arm around the sobbing Rodger's shoulder, then cuddling him tenderly, giving him support and strength.
"What - " Raine mumbled.
Rodger looked at Nathan from the corner of his eye, giving a weak nod. Nathan sighed and sniffled, then hugged Rodger again.
'Honey? What Rodger's trying to tell you - he's - he's bisexual, I suspected it, from the moment we met - his actions - over the past day, have only reinforced this, isn't that right Rodger?"
Weakly, Rodger nodded, squeezing his eyes closed as he waited for the righteous rage that his beloved would drop on him.
Raine was silent for several moments, before she swallowed and Rodger squeezed his eyes closed.
Here it comes...
Raine opened her muzzle to speak, before she closed it again, then her thoughts flickered over her glacier blue eyes at a thousand miles an hour. Finally, she swallowed nervously, then gently lifted Rodgers head up and waited until the sobbing Wallaby's eyes opened and he looked up into her eyes.
"I...never suspected my love - " Raine murmured, gently caressing his chin with her fingers. "I - am not angry with you honey. I _am_surprised, but I'm not angry...far from it. I had - feelings - that things weren't quite _right_with us..."
"It's nothing you have done, I just...look at me, do I look like the strong, dominant type, that'd stand up for themselves?"
"No..." Nathan whispered, as he clutched Rodger tight. "Don't go down that path little one, believe me...I know from experience - painful - experience..."
"I...you're a wallaby, a little short for your species - " Raine sniffled, then used her paws to wipe at her eyes. "I love you for who you are, what you are, and the genuine bond and respect we share! I don't give one swish of my brush, what way your sexual predilections lie honey! Truly! I love you with all my heart, as I'm sure you love me!"
"You're...not angry - I hid it from you?" Rodger sniffled, then blinked as Raine leaned forwards and licked away his salty tears.
"Honey? I was raised by two gay Whitetail's - I love them both just as much as I'd love anyone! I don't have prejudices against straight, bi, gay - whatever - my beloved fathers - "
Raine glanced at Nathan, who smiled shyly and dried his own eyes.
"My beloved fathers - " Raine resumed. "They raised me right- to love, to trust and respect everyone, irregardless. If they break that trust with me, that's on them, so, no my dear, sweet lover - I don't hate you - if anything, I wish you'd told me sooner!"
"Its...wrong of me...that I had - thoughts - " Rodger sniffled and rested his muzzle between Raine's breasts, gazing up at her.
"Of?" Raine blinked.
"Of..." Rodger trailed off then began whimpering.
Nathan sniffled, then gently ruffled Rodgers ears. "Me..."
