Awkward Moments
"Dare," said a slim male fox seated in front of a roaring fire. The light of the fire turned his pure white fur a strange shade of orange as the flames flickered in the dark room. Outside, the sound of raining beating against the glass of the window gave a constant reminder of how the two siblings came to play such a childish game in the dark of their home.
A female arctic fox, appearing no older than her brother, tapped her chin and said, "Hm... let's see. Ooh, I know. I dare you to eat one
of dad's peppers from the fridge."
The male stuck his tongue out and said, "Alright Sarah but you do realize that if I get sick you have to take care of me while mom and dad are out of town."

Nathan smirked and said, "Is that all? Fine, no worries." Standing, he straightened the pair of shorts he was wearing and said, "Be right back." With that, he walked to the front door of their house and out into the storm.
Sarah smirked and hurried up after him. When she saw him walk out into the yard, she shut the door and locked the dead bolt before smirking to herself and waiting for her brother to try and return. Thirty seconds later, a loud pounding on the door, mixed with a few choice curses, met her ears. Opening the door again, she looked to the drenched fox and said, "Oh my... a six foot mop monster."
Nathan growled softly as he walked inside and said, "Two minutes out there. Two minutes of icy cold water and hailstones raining down on me. I'm going to get you back for this." He disappeared from the room and down into the hallway that led to their rooms. Coming back a bit later, he now wore only a pair of crimson boxers and a large towel wrapped around his shoulders. Sitting back down, he said, "Truth or dare sis?"
Sarah was tempted to take dare, just to see what Nathan would have her do, but she resisted and said, "Truth."

Righting himself, he pulled the boxers off completely and tossed them onto the couch.

"Food would be good," Nathan said happily as followed his sister into the kitchen. He hugged her and said, "Thanks for being so open sis. It's nice to know we haven't grown too far apart over time."
