"Mh..." Skye woke up early the next morning, her face still buried in Ruki's fur. She pulled away slightly to give herself more room to breathe, but kept her nose in it, softly nuzzling his neck, and finally giving it a loving kiss. "I love you, Ruki..." Skye hugged up to his warm body while he slept, feeling his stomach rise with every breath. Skye's mind pondered to the day prior, the one spent with Aaron. He was the kindest boy she'd met in her life thus far, and that said a lot considering Skye was now eighteen. It didn't matter, though, right? She was traveling back to her region across the ocean tomorrow. It was best for both his and her sake that everything between them was kept concealed.

Skye was up and dressed for the day in the next ten minutes. She had on casual wear after the extravagant and lustrous-sided outfit she wore yesterday, a comfortable blue tee and jeans. She kept her ponytail up and gazed at herself in the bathroom mirror. "What's he like about you, anyway? If he does like you..." Skye eyed her face, her slim nose, her full blue eyes. She had male friends in Alola, but they rarely, if ever complimented her. It made sense, though, as that could make for an awkward situation, and she didn't know how they felt about her. Skye left the restroom and saw Ruki lying on his stomach and grooming his paws.

"Hey," she said with an accompanying grin, sitting on the bed's edge on her knees and patting the spot in front of her.

He hastily stood and walked over, sitting where Skye had directed.

"You did so well last night, baby. You can really please a female, can't you?" Skye giggled and placed her right hand on the back of his neck, leaning in to kiss him atop his head.

He gently leaned his head up into her kiss, a bit hot-faced from her words. Ruki was glad he was able to physically please Skye. He strived to keep her content.

"We should finish what we have left from Seven Stars if it's still any good..." They'd been picking at it throughout the week, but neither were that hungry while away from home. "I'm not sure where we'll go, either. We leave tomorrow, so we have to do something." Skye pondered for a moment and recalled something she'd seen multiple times throughout their week in Sinnoh. "What about the pool out in the courtyard? We haven't checked that out yet."

Ruki would enjoy that. He remembered seeing it yesterday before they left for Floaroama. He nodded at her.

"Okay, let me see if I packed my suit," she said and scooted off the bed to search her backpack. Skye found her folded swimsuit in moments. It was the last piece of clothing unworn by her during this trip. She unfolded it and held the suit out in front of her while grinning. "It's been a while since I've worn this." It was a vibrant pink one-piece that covered her torso and cut off at her upper thighs. Each side of the tight suit was white and had medium-sized holes running up its sides until reaching the chest area to reveal more skin. It resembled fishnetting. "Be back," Skye said, taking it into the bathroom.

Ruki hopped down from the bed and went to look out the window while waiting for Skye to change, at the vacant courtyard and at other suites along with a clear sky. A sunny day awaited them, the last they'd spend in Sinnoh.

"Readyy," she sung, exiting the restroom while fitting her suit's shoulder straps. "I don't know if I'm still skinny enough to wear this."

Ruki thought she looked beautiful in it. Of course she was. Skye didn't have much weight on her. She just didn't strive for a perfect body, and she didn't need to.

They ate what didn't perish from their packaged meal and had to throw the rest away, unfortunately. After that, Skye put on her shoes and exited the suite with Ruki a quarter to nine. It was relatively warm outside, enough to enter a pool. "Up here," she said, walking north up a flight of stairs through the courtyard while Ruki trailed behind her. Skye took a left once at the top and saw the shallow body of water surrounded by a grassy field. Straight ahead by a mile down another flight of stairs were bushy trees and tall grass. "Pretty environment," said Skye while making her way to the water. The grass turned to stone terrain lining the outer area of the pool. A chair lay underneath a white and blue patterned umbrella by the poolside.

Ruki went and stood next to the chair as Skye sat on it. No one was around. They had a private area for the time being.

"We should have come here days ago. It's like right outside," she said. "Why don't you go test the water, Ruki?"

He glanced at her, then shifted his gaze to the still water. It was four feet deep according to the numbered labels on its walls, but Ruki knew how to keep himself afloat. His years of swimming at beaches with Skye in Alola as a vulpix paid off. Ruki walked to the right end of the pool by its stairs, dipping his left paw into the water onto the first step. It was slightly cold as expected, nothing he couldn't accustom himself with.

"How is it, warm enough to handle?" she inquired.

Well, it was warm enough for him. He stared back at her, unsure whether to nod or shake his head.

"Whatever, I'm just gonna jump in anyway." Skye kicked her shoes off and walked to Ruki, crouching beside him. "Are you going to get in with me?"

His ears perked, and he nuzzled her thigh with his cheek. Without a doubt. Ruki missed swimming with Skye, and he definitely wouldn't let her swim alone.

"Okay, here goes..." Skye stood up at the center of the pool, gazing down at the water. She held her nose with her right hand, closed her eyes, exhaled, took in a substantial amount of air and held it, then jumped forward without a second thought. She heard the corresponding splash and felt the water consume her a split second later. Her body tensed while adapting to the abrupt change in temperature, and she released some air in the form of bubbles through her mouth, staying just above the pool's floor on her stomach while clearing her mind entirely. Skye relaxed in moments under the now much warmer water, and she turned onto her back, slightly opening her eyes in time to see Ruki enter the water from the steps. She smiled, pushing herself up off of the floor and standing above the water, catching her breath while rubbing her eyes. "Come here, baby," Skye said once she gathered her composure, lifting her arms above the water. Fortunately, her watch was waterproof since she'd completely forgotten that she had it on.

Ruki paddled over to her, having only a bit of trouble due to his new form, and she took his front paws into her hands, keeping him afloat and leaning down to kiss him on his nose.

"Who's my best swimmer?" she playfully baby talked him, giggling.

Ruki looked up at her, and his tails swayed as she spoke, though it was barely noticeable as they were in the water. He couldn't swim as well as a primarina, but he did his best for a ninetales.

"I don't know if I can swim after yesterday and last night. I'll use this as water therapy instead." Skye went over to the wall and leaned her back against it, bringing Ruki with her by his paws. "You can swim if you'd like. Want me to let you go?"

Ruki shook his head. He wanted to be beside Skye. He always would as long as she allowed it.

"Okay, we'll just relax here for a while." She tucked him next to her with her left arm around his side, swaying the water in a smooth circle with her free hand. Skye started to see other trainers and pokémon populate the courtyard as the sun gradually rose. She then looked ahead of her at the mini forest noticed upon entering the pool area, its vegetation rustling calmly against the warm morning breezes. She sighed contently. Skye was never unhappy back home, but Sinnoh was a perfect escape to a more modernized take on life. Skye wasn't sure which she preferred, but being able to experience both was beyond extraordinary to her.
