Emi was bored. He was sitting on his bed waiting for his boyfriend to return. Emi had recently moved from another region to be with his boyfriend, but didn't know what there was to do here yet. He looked similar to most any other charizard with the exception of his scales being purple instead of orange and were technically made of goo. He also had a few other distinctions, such as a lack of wings and the flame on his tail wasn't always lit. He usually could keep his goo in a solid state to simulate the texture of scales, but not always. A knock on the door caused Emi to look back. "Hun?" Emi asked. "Come on in!"

In walked a rather handsome greninja, Novalys. He moved to the heavier pokemon and placed a hand on his waist before kissing his cheek. "So... date time?" Novalys had some unique features too; his skin was a darker blue than most greninja. There was a scar on his left fin given by a pokemon, and he wore a necklace with a fang that belonged to that pokemon. The classic "X"s on greninja legs were rotated to look more like crosses than the letter X.

Emi jolted slightly in surprise. "R-right, hun! Of course." He let out a soft sigh. "Alright, I forgot. Sorry, got a lot on my mind."

Nova simply giggled softly and passed his hand from the dragon's waist, up his belly, and to his lips. He smiled lovingly at his boyfriend and said, "That's alright."

Emi blushed lightly and kissed the fingers pressed against his lips. "Well, um, ready to go out for a walk?" the 'zard asked as he gently nosed up against his froggy nose.

The affectionate nosing was quickly returned with a cheerful smile. "Sure! Shall we?" Nova confirmed as he walked back to open the door, inviting the nude dragon to walk out with him.

Emi looked down at his completely naked body and looked at his boyfriend with a light blush. "Not ready!"

Nova giggled as he replied, "What? Can't take a joke?" He patted the larger dragon before hopping onto the bed to watch him get dressed. Emi shook his head in mild amusement while calling the greninja silly. He turned and playfully hit Nova with his tail as he began to get dressed. Nova couldn't resist the urge to whistle at his sexy boyfriend as he put on his scarf, glasses, shoulder bag, and a new pair of sandals.

Emi turned to Nova, still mostly naked with his sheath and balls still very exposed, and asked in a slightly teasing tone, "Did I miss anything?"

Nova tapped his chin in thought as he looked over his boyfriend. "Hmm... Oh! This!" He stood back up and kissed his love right on the muzzle.

Emi let out a soft "rawr" as he returned the kiss. A few moments later, he broke the kiss and scooped Nova up, situating him on his shoulders. "Mine," the dragon said simply as he carried his froggy across the room like that. He had to duck so Nova could clear the doorway as they headed out.

Nova blushed and giggled happily. "Well," he said, "if you wanna carry me around for our date, I'm fine with that." Nova happily petted Emi's head, passing his hands along his horns. He gets more comfortable on the dragon's shoulders, letting his legs dangle down near Emi's chest. He pointed forward and declared, "Let's go, my mount!"

Emi growled lowly as he looked up at the frog with a scary face. "Don't get too comfortable up there," he warned. After a moment of keeping up the scary act, he gave a grin and stuck out his tongue with his eyes closed in a rather cute manner. He then continues walking deeper into the town.

Nova giggled as he said in a playfully sarcastic tone, "Soooooooo scary!" He leaned down and gave emi a kiss on the cheek, getting a blush from the purple dragon. "So, does my big, scary dragon have anything specific in mind, or should I direct you where to go?"

Emi shrugged, accidentally causing Nova to bounce on his shoulders and making his slit rub against the back of his head. "I don't really know the place, so you guide me."

"Alright, in that case, let's go over to the old fort," Nova said with a smile, "there are a lot of little restaurants there for us to choose from when we get hungry." Emi looked around a bit before looking up at Nova with a slightly confused looked on his face, clearly wanting to ask something. Nova dropped down off his shoulder and poked his belly. "What's up?"

"Where's the fort?" Emi asked simply.

Nova nearly facepalmed himself. "Oh! Silly me," he said, slightly embarrassed about just assuming Emi would know where to go. He pointed to the left and said, "See that river there? Follow it down a bit and look up. It's the large stone building."

Emi smiled as he spotted the old structure. "So that's the old fort." He grabbed Nova's hand and started to cross the street, not stopping to look before crossing.

Nova quickly tugged the dragon back, getting a rather cute "eep" from the large dragon, yet as he's made of goo it had a delay when nova pulled him as emi went straight back like a stretch effect, and then nova exclaimed, "Hey, watch out! We gotta use a crosswalk to be safe."

"Sorry, hun" Emi said sheepishly, rubbing at the back of his neck. "I'm not used to these human customs."

Nova chuckled. "I guess I better keep my eyes on you then," he said with a smile. He pulled Emi with him to the light and pressed the button to queue for the walking light. "We use these to cross busy streets. Press the button and wait for the sign to signal you to cross when it's safe."

Emi eyed the button with fascination. Curiosity and wonder filled his eyes as he tried to figure out the miracle of human engineering with only the slightest understanding. He'd been living in the wild, only skirting the human cities and towns, for most of his life and only moved into a human city to be closer with his boyfriend. It was a big change for him. Nova couldn't help but smile at Emi's fascination, but as the light had turned green to indicate they should start crossing, he grabbed the purple dragon's hand and started tugging him across, "C'mon, Emi, this way." Nova looked around a bit, noticing the heavy foot traffic of humans and pokemon alike. "Lots of people out today."

"Want to take a less crowded path?" Emi suggested.

"Nah," Nova replied, "it's gonna be busy no matter where we go." He continued walking closer to the fort, interlocking his fingers with Emi's.

Emi grinned happily and gave Nova's hand a gentle squeeze in return. He leaned over and kissed his cheek. "So, what can you tell me about the fort?" he asked with enthusiasm. Despite never really going into any of the cities back in his home region, Emi had always held a fascination with the massive and beautiful structures that he saw, either from behind the trees or from stories of others mons .

"It's old," the frog started. "This fort, well, more like a citadel really, is one of the oldest buildings here. It's a historical landmark and has become a must-see for anyone visiting here, which means that a lot of people have set up restaurants nearby. They don't allow cars near here to preserve the site. We're just about there."

Emi smiled happily as Nova explained this to him. The dragon can't help but look around at all the hustle and bustle around him. It's vastly different from the quiet solitude he'd become so used to. He squeezed Nova's hand and pointed out a street magician. Nova couldn't help but giggle at his boyfriend's enthusiasm at everything. They stopped to watch the show for a few minutes, Emi super excited at all the different magic tricks, before going down the main road where all the restaurants were.

Despite the exciting scenery around them, Emi couldn't keep his eyes off the greninja next to him. It doesn't take long for Nova to notice Emi's adoring stare directed at him. He couldn't help but blush at the affectionate attention. "You're making me blush, bae!"

Emi chuckled sheepishly, a blush of his own forming. "Heh, sorry. I just love walking with you; I can't help but be so glad to be with you." He moved even closer to Nova and rested his chin on his head, letting go of his hand to instead grip his waist and pull him close in atender manner.

Nova's blush brightened more at the sentiment behind it. "It's alright. Well, let's find a nice restaurant. Is there anything you wanna try?"

"Let's find someplace to sit down, enjoy ourselves, and plan out the day."

"Alright. There are a few restaurants nearby that have terraces with a great view of the river."

Emi lit up and excitedly said, "Oh nice! I love ones with a great view!" He held Nova a bit closer to him. "So, um, I wanna taste some great Kalosian food, something that you love and want me to taste for myself."

"Hmm, let's see... you like meat?"

Emi gave an uncertain look. "Depends on the type of meat. A soft, juicy burger? Hell yeah. A hard, flat piece of meat... meh."

Nova chuckled. "No, tender and juicy. A good steak." He pointed to a building with a terrace and big red lights. "They make great steaks."

"Well, alright," Emi agreed as he started to walk there with Nova. "So long as it's not curry."

Nova laughed as he walked alongside Emi, leaning his head on him. "What's the matter, don't want curry?"

"I'd prefer a housemade specialty curry before I try other new foods."

"Well, you'll have a lot of choices there. However, Kalosian food can be a bit... rare. I mean, the restaurants that serve it. And very salty!"

Emi giggled a bit as he gently nuzzled the frog. "I'm glad that I have my own personal Kalosian expert with me."

Nova smiled at Emi's excitement. Once they get to the restaurant, Nova holds the door open and sweeps his arm in an exaggerated motion. "After you, bae."

"Yessir!" Emi said as he walked in. Nova couldn't resist the urge to stare at the purple dragon's rear as he walked in, croaking softly at the sight. The frog walked over to the maitre d', a rather attractive, anthro arcanine. The arcanine invited the two of them to their seats out on the terrace. Emi didn't notice this at first. He was too preoccupied with inhaling the scent of the delicious food. When he did see the pair walking away, he quickly walked after them, catching up at the table. He sat across from Nova.

The arcanine gave them both a kind smile as he handed them each a menu and said, "Good evening, my name is Deago, and I'm the maitre d' here. Is there anything I can start you off with?"

"I'll take a coke," Nova replied. "You, hun?"

"Umm, well... hmm, well, since it's not too expensive, I'll have some pomegranate juice."

Deago jotted it down and nodded. "I'll bring that right out for you."

"Thank you," Nova said with a smile. As the arcanine walked away, Nova smirked at Emi and began to rub his leg on the dragon's under the table, hidden by the long tablecloth.

Emi looks up at Nova as he feels his legs being rubbed. "Uh, what are you... oh." Nova rubbed his webbed paws along the tops of Emi's. Emi couldn't help but blush lightly as he smiled at his boyfriend before looking away shyly.

Nova giggled at the reaction, continuing to rub their paws together. "You know, you don't have to worry about cost right now, hun."

"I just wanna make sure we have money if we want to buy anything else later," Emi said with a smile. He quickly worked his sandals off his paws and began to rub his soles against Nova's soft pads. "I want to return the favor. Make you a meal that I had a lot back in my old home."

Nova grinned. "Oh? Hehe, I can't wait!" As if to show his appreciation, he raised his leg and gently rubbed at the dragon's sheath and balls with his paws. He quickly withdrew them once Deago returned, not wanting to be caught even if he was hidden by the tablecloth but the blush on both of them was rather evident. "Decide what to eat?" While Emi quickly looked over the menu, a rather good distraction for the blue blush to vanish, the arcanine placed the drinks down and Nova ordered his meal. "I'll take a six ounce steak with rice and pepper sauce. Good, old classic."

Emi looked up with an interested look on his face. "Well, that sounds traditional."

Nova giggled softly. "Not really." He turned to the maitre d' and ordered for Emi. "My boyfriend would love to try a beef stew a l'ancienne with bread and butter." Back to Emi, he said, "The stew is a very traditional dish. That's what you wanted, right?"

Emi nodded. "Yeah, that sounds great! And a coke to drink after this juice!."

"Very good, sirs," Deago chimed as he wrote down the order. "I hope you enjoy your evening here with us." He walked off.

Nova's gaze turned back to Emi. It was only now that he noticed that his paw had gotten a bit messy with Emi's purple goo. "That was close," he whispered. "You don't think he noticed, do you?"

Emi chuckled. "I think he might have." Then he added with a smirk, "So, I wonder who's the hornier one here, now."

Nova blushed and looked away. "Oh, shush! I... I just want us to enjoy this and wanted to show you... well..." he paused and locked eyes with him. "I wanted to show you how sexy you are. How desirable I find you."

Emi blushed brightly, but tried to play off his embarrassment by saying in a mildly playful tone, "A big-bellied guy is sexy now? Well, if you say so." He takes a sip of his juice and smiles at the taste.

"Something funny with the juice?" Nova asked as he sipped at his own drink.

"No," Emi replied. "It's just... been years since I had it." He takes another drink and lets out a pleased murr.

Nova chuckled softly and gently caressed Emi's arm. "So, anything you wanna talk about?" Noticing a cruise ship leaving port, Nova points it out. Emi quickly spots it and smiles at the new sight. Seeing each new human thing always drew the dragon's attention. Their inventions and customs were so foreign to him and they fascinated him to no end. Nova's eyes were more interested with the adorable wonderment that filled Emi's face. He was like a newborn, finding anything and everything interesting and attention-worthy.

Emi turned back and smiled at Nova. "I'm so fascinated by this place, hun. There's so much to explore and so little time to do it. But... I'm glad to have you here." He grabbed hold of Nova's hand and held it lovingly.

Nova eagerly gripped back, smiling widely. "And as for me," he said softly looking out at the city, "well, all of this is normal. And while I'm happy to share it with you, you're what's new to me. You're what I wanna explore. You're my fascination." He gently moved Emi's hand over his chest. The thumping of his heart against his chest was easily felt by the big dragon. "Just being in your presence makes me very excited."

Emi blushed as a lewd idea crept into his mind. He leaned his paw up to his boyfriend's slit and teased it, feeling a light moistness from his arousal. "Excited, huh?"

Nova giggled and spread his legs a bit wider. "You know what I meant! But... yes, from there, too."

Emi smirked and rubbed his sole firmly against his slit folds, tenderly rubbing his toes against his belly. He pulled Nova's hand over to him and kissed it. "I love you, Nova"

Nova blushed at the romantic gesture. He nuzzled at Emi's hand lovingly as he replied, "I love you, too, Emi." A soft clear of a throat caught their attention. Deago had returned with their meals.

The lovers blushed at being caught like that, but Deago just seemed amused at their public displays of affection. He placed down the steak and soup. They thank him and he wishes them a pleasant evening before going to check on another table nearby with another pair of lovers being affectionate, an anthro otter and an anthro typhlosion variant. Emi grabbed a spoonful of his stew and sniffed at it. He looked at Nova before trying the traditional stew. His expression changed from mildly cautious to delight. He was pleasantly surprised at just how tasty the stew was.

Nova smiled happily as he saw just how much Emi was enjoying the meal he had suggested. As he started cutting his steak, he suggested, "You should try dipping your bread in the stew; you'll love the mix of flavors."

Emi gives the bread and stew a curious look before dipping the hot, buttered bread into it. "Well, it's already pretty damn good, but you haven't steered me wrong yet. Let's see how it is!" He took a bite of the bread and let out a soft moan. "Mmm, you're right, it's so good!"

Nova giggled and said, "Well, someone sure is enjoying it." He took a bite of his steak, letting out a soft purr of enjoyment.

Emi smirked as he asked, "How about you?" He quickly leaned over and stole some of Nova's coke with a big gulp just before Deago came back with Emi's own coke.

Nova laughed and declared, "Hey! Thief!" Emi snickered at his own antics before taking a sip of his own coke. He then poured some of his into Nova's to return what he'd stolen. Nova just giggled more at his silly dragon. "You tell me." He cut up a small piece of the juicy steak and held it out to Emi's lips.

Emi sniffed it curiously before taking the bite. "Hmm, not bad!"

Nova smiled. "I love a piece of steak." He licked his lips as he stared at Emi with a hungry expression.

Emi looked over at Nova suspiciously. "We are talking about the same kind of meat, right?" He kept eating while his eyes were trained on the frog.

"You tell me," Nova replied with a laugh.

"I guess we are, then," Emi said with a lick of his lips. He took another bite of the stew-soaked bread. "This isn't as salty as you said it'd be."

Nova chuckled as he replied, "That's because you didn't use the butter, silly. It's salted butter." He took the final bite of his meal and let out a contented sigh and patted his belly. "That was good." He set his utensils down and looked at Emi. "So, hun, you told me to make sure that you remembered to tell me something. What was it?"

"Right," Emi said quietly. "I thought that... well, since we'll be starting a relationship like this, we should talk about some things."

"What sort of things?" Nova asked cautiously.

"I... I want to apologize for how I acted back at Kanto."

Nova shrunk back in his chair a bit. "You don't have to. I was the one in the wrong. I shouldn't have tried to make you leave. It was selfish."

Emi shook his head firmly. "No, you were right. He wasn't right for me and i knew it. But i couldn't just leave without him giving me a reason. Even if the love was almost completely gone, I'm loyal. But the way we connected when you were in Kanto with us... it was magical. Rex and I had known each other for years and we weren't nearly as close with each other as I became with you in those short months, you were what i needed."

Nova was extremely hesitant, almost afraid of the answer, but he eventually asked, "Then why did you stay?"

"I was scared," Emi admitted. "Rex and I, even if it wasn't perfect or even special, it was safe and familiar. Traveling to a new region all because of someone I barely knew was a scary idea. Believe me when I say I regret staying. I had thought that the feelings might fade and it would be safer to just stay with Rex, someone I knew would want to keep me, but I was wrong. Those feelings only grew stronger and stronger until I couldn't deny them anymore. I had to be with you. Even if it meant losing him."

Nova's heart was pounding heavily. He hadn't known the details about why Emi suddenly showed up at his door weeks back. He had been too excited to question it. He looked over at the setting sun. "To be honest, I've been afraid, too. At first I was worried that your showing up was just a dream. Then when I was sure it wasn't, I was afraid that I'd wake up one morning and you'd be gone. Maybe you'd leave a note saying that you were going back to your ex and that I wasn't... wasn't what you expected or something like that." He looked back at Emi, his eyes tearing up a bit as he expressed his vulnerable side. "I know in my heart that you'd probably never do that, but I can't help but worry." He reached across the table and placed his hand on one of Emi's. "However... what I do know... is that when there's a will, there's a way. And... I want us to be together, together and happy with each other."

Emi gives Nova a gentle look and holds the frog's hand with both of his. He spoke softly, "Novita..." He paused. "This is my first proper date, you know? Rex and i never went this far, he was hesitant"

"Mine too," Nova admitted. "I dunno how I'm supposed to act or what to do. Just... thought that this might be something we could enjoy together."

"Aren't we enjoying it?" Emi asked with a small smile before drinking more of his coke.

"I am," Nova confirmed. "I still can't help but feel... insecure. I've been used and abandoned so many times... People tend to see me as... well... a placeholder until they can find something or someone better. That's why I'm afraid... I just needed to say that out loud."

Softly, Emi asked, "Aren't I different, though?"

Nova gently caressed Emi's cheek. "Arceus, I hope so."

Emi's ear-horns drooped a bit. "You hope? Have I not done enough?"

Nova sighed. "You've done more than enough. This is my issue. It's up to me to get over this, Emi."

Emi gives a thoughtful look towards Nova, as if trying to figure out the best way to help. He suddenly smiles to himself before catching Nova's hand in his mouth and nomming and sucking on it playfully with a wide grin on his face. Nova laughed at his silly antics, wiggling his fingers as he let Emi do as he pleased. Nova pulled them back after a few seconds, a bright blush on his face as he licked at them. Emi grinned and said, "Just means I'll have to work harder to help you."

Nova shook his head. "No. Don't. I don't want you to overexert yourself for me. This is a leap of faith that I have to do alone."

Emi locked eyes with Nova, making sure Nova was paying attention. "You don't get it. It's not just you anymore. We're an 'us.' What affects you, affects me. We're a team now; what we do, we do together."

Nova was taken aback at the firm stance. It was honestly very touching and he couldn't even try to refute his logic. "Just... Don't try too hard, alright? Don't want you to think that I'm... unsalvageable." He looked at his reflection in the surface of his drink. Emi put his hand under Nova's chin and lifted it up. He pressed their lips together and tenderly kissed him, Emi's eyes closing as he revelled in the moment. Nova was quick to return the kiss, even placing his hand on the back of Emi's head as he pushed into it eagerly. Eventually the couple broke apart. Nova, with a light blush on his cheeks, said, "I love you, hun. I love this very moment." Emi grinned and affectionately nuzzled Nova's cheek, getting a brighter blush and a giggle from him.

Emi gazed into Nova's eyes as he spoke. "I will leave you only when I die. For the rest of my life I'll stay with you. For the rest of my life I will love you. For the rest of my life I will give you everything that I can give. Nothing but death could stop me from being with you. You are my everything and I couldn't love you more."

Nova blushed and smiled at the sentiment. "I feel the exact same way. I don't need anything but you in my life." Emi grinned wide as he moved to sit next to him, resting his head against him and holding his hand. Nova gripped Emi's hand back as he leaned into the affectionate dragon, nuzzling him lovingly. "You're... all I need."

"For now I am. And you give me all I need, too." Emi eagerly returned the loving nuzzles. Nova smiled at his partner. He couldn't resist his urge. Forgetting that they were in a very public place, he leaned in and kissed Emi, a kiss that Emi eagerly returned. The sun set on the horizon as the lovers kissed in the dimming orange glow coating the terrace.

Someone nearby cleared their throat to get their attention, but they were much too involved with each other to notice. They kissed a while longer before a voice interrupted them. "Sincerest apologies," the arcanine informed them, "but I came to deliver the bill."

Nova nearly croaked in embarrassment as he blushed. "R-right! Sorry." He quickly pulled out enough money for the bill and a generous tip. He looked back to Emi. "Well, let's take our leave, shall we?"

Emi nodded and stood up, his tail wagging behind him. "Sounds good, my mate!" Nova's cheeks turned beet red at being called that.

The two of them leave the restaurant hand-in-hand, Emi's tail still wagging happily behind him as they head into the streets for their next destination. Nova was still blushing as he commented with a mix of excitement and bashfulness, "Deago was hot."

Emi blushed, too, but smiled and nodded. "He certainly was. Maybe we ought to invite him over to dinner sometime."

Nova giggled. "Think he swings our way?"

"I couldn't tell," Emi replied. "I was a bit... distracted." He eyed his lover with a mischievous gaze.

"So was I," Nova admitted as he clung to his dragon. "So, should we go home or hang around here a bit more?"

"Someone tired already?" Emi asked teasingly. "Or is it that you just wanna taste my own cooking?"

"Well, that'd definitely be nice," Nova admitted. "But I was just wondering if you wanted to do something else around here. I mean, it is a palace bursting with activities."

Emi hummed to himself and tapped his chin before exclaiming, "I wanna go to a mall! Gotta buy ingredients to cook anyways, heheh."

"Well, if it's ingredients you want, there are grocery stores much closer," Nova reasoned.

"But I wanna explore the maaaall!" Emi whined, almost like a child.

Nova giggled in amusement. "Alright, alright, the mall it is. More time with you that way, anyways. The mall should be over the hill there. It's a bit of a trek, but nothing you can't handle."

"Well, with the stars above us, this trek should be quite pleasant," Emi said with a smile.

Nova giggled softly. "Sure. Let's go, my loyal mount!" Jumps onto Emi's shoulder again, leaning against his head happily.

Emi yelped and blushed as he was suddenly being used as a mount again, not that he minded too much for his loveable frog. "A-alright." He couldn't resist but to nuzzle against Nova as he began to walk in the direction of the mall. The sun had fully set, but the lights of the city blocked out all but the brightest of stars from the lovers' view.

Nova sighed as he looked up at the dark sky. "I miss being able to see all the stars. Too much light in the city to get a good view." He gently rubbed Emi's head. "I'd love to see them again with you sometime."

"So would I," Emi agreed. "Ooh! We should go out of town during the next meteor shower to watch it together! It'd be so romantic!" He looked at Nova hopefully as he wanted to see his reaction.

Nova was grinning widely as he nodded. "That would be amazing. I'd love to." Emi grinned excitedly as his idea was appreciated. He lovingly licked at Nova's chin and Nova licked back. Nova smirked before suddenly wrapping his prehensile frog tongue around Emi's neck. "Looks like you'd make a great greninja!"

Emi grinned and shifted his goo form to replicate the form of a greninja before saying, "I AM a great greninja!" The change in form surprised Nova and he fell from his shoulder. Emi was quick to catch the falling frog.

"Th-thanks, babe," Nova said softly.

"I'd never let you fall, babe," Emi replied. "Try to get a better grip next time, though, yeah?"

Nova chuckled and nodded, "Yeah, I will. Looks like we're just about at the mall." Points over to the large building.

Emi's eyes widen as he sees the mall. "H-huge!"

Nova chuckled at his enthusiasm. "Is it?"

"Yeah!" Emi declared as he started to run towards it, putting Nova back on his shoulder and keeping him steady. "I wanna see it all! It's too bad we won't have enough time."

"We can always come back later to see what we don't today." Emi agreed with Nova and went into the mall. He immediately walked to the guide display to find out where everything was positioned in the mall. "Find what you were looking for on there?"

Emi nodded. "Yep!" He gripped Nova's legs to keep him steady as he rushed over to the elevator. Nova croaked in surprise as he held on tightly to Emi's shoulders. Once they got to it and Emi pressed the button, he looked up at Nova and said, "You're gonna have to dismount. Not enough room in the elevator for this."

"Aww," Nova whined as he dropped down. "I love your shoulder. So comfy." He gave Emi a gentle nuzzle after he got on his own webbed paws. The elevator opened and the pair was greeted with the sight of an anthro typhlosion variant, the same one they had seen at the restaurant, pinning his otter lover to the back wall of the elevator and making out with him passionately and even grinding his hips against his lover's. The greninja and charizard-turned-greininja both blushed at the sight.
