Several hours Valiena awoke to find out she was no longer in the RV bed but in a bed room.

"Good your awake." Damon said as he entered the room.

"How long was I out?" she asked

"Not long its only three hours."

"Oh."

"listen i have to go ill be gone for a day one of my best friends passed away from leukemia." he said

Surprised she said" your going to leave me here in your home?"

He nodded "your safe here no one knows we are here "don't break anything that could explode all the herbs and healing stimulators should help you heal faster."

"Thank you," she sighed.

"your welcome." he smiled "you should get some sleep you'll be able leave around tomorrow there is rations lying around if you get hunrgy." Valiena was drained from her wounds sapping her energy to help heal she was out even before he got in the car. The next day she woke up feeling better than yesterday, she looked around the room and a saw a shelf with a few books and walked over to see what type of books. He had a lot of fantasy book by the looks of it and a few zombie and post apocalyptic future ones also. She picked up a book with the name Resident Evil she read for most of the day, her stomach called for her attention and demanded to be fed. Valiena went to the find the rationsbut had a little trouble finding them, then when back to the bed room and fell asleep shortly after finishing the second book.We she awoke the next day it was around nine forty five pm. "Man i slept in late, i better wait until tomorrow to leave" she though to her self she looked at the computer at the far end of the room and checked to see if it is on, it was. looking over the screen she saw a folder named Safe houses that caught her attention opening it she saw a map with several areas dotted all over Nevada.She Jumped when she heard the Garage opening, after quickly closing down the application she shut the computer off.

"Damn, piece of shit RV " Damon muttered as He entered the house as he walked toward the couch it was ten pm now. Plopping down on the couch he didnt care if he had his tan dress clothes on he was really upset and just wanted a little rest.Valiena walked in the living room to greet him he was suprised to see that see was still here. " Huh, i Half expected you to be gone by now" he said,she justed opened her mouth as the power died. He bolted up from the couch how could the power go out there was no storm any where unless.... he thought.

There was a loud crash out side the house.

"Shh, ill got check it out" he said as he pull out his colt.1911 and slowly walked over to the living room winsow. As he crept over there saw car lights turn off he rushed over to the front window and peeked through the drapes to see a group of five people.

"Ok, listen we have to do this quick looks like one of our on is with the enemy we have get rid of them" a husky voice said.

"Why, uncle do we have to kill him" a female voice asked.

" its too much risk not to they probably already know our weakness's and every thing about us and him I will not let this happen kill him and the person he is with" the man said again

Wait Damon though I know that voice its convoy and sheila!!!! And some of the team they are trying to kill me and Val we have to get out of here!"he ran toward her and said "we have to get out of here!"

"What, Why!?" She asked concerned

"Convoy and some of team are out there we have to get out of here now!" he whispered "We need to get to my car!" they ran through the house toward the garage once inside the garage he pointed to a big gun crate" we need to get it in the RV in case they catch use" he whispered they hurried to get the crate into the rv once done he said"I need to engage the locks and set the bomb timer"

"why!!?" Valiena yelled whispering.

"They will here the garage opening I had a small amount of c4 put on it incase the humongus found where I live" he said before rushing toward the keypad then the c4 a second later he got in the rv. "Get ready! I set it for six seconds" He yelled the engine roared to life two seconds before the c4 detonated he slammed on the gas as the c4 exploded Valiena yelped in fear as he drove through the fire. Convoy heard an engine start he point to the garage just as they started toward it just as it explode they ducked just as the RV blasted through the wall of fire.

"Don't let way get away" convoy yelled as the vehicle sped off down the dark desert road. As the RV drove on two vehicles got on both sides and started ram it off the road.

"Fasten your seat belt and hold on!" Damon yelled. She obeyed and strapped herself in, he slammed on the brakes once he was behind the two now enemy vehicle he opened fire on them with the mosquito machine guns. The bullets ripped the cars causing one to lose control and flip through the air "Ha, fuck you!!" he yelled in rage. Flooring it he rammed in the second car smashing the back up making the car to lose traction and crash head long into a telephone pole. Valiena looked in the rearview mirror and gasped as see saw a yellow semi barreling down the road towards them

"Convoy is right behind us step on it" she screamed

"I couldn't agree more" he said punching the gas the RV rocketed forward "trick or treat you son of a bitch" he laughed as he pressed the button that released one road kill mine. Convoy saw the mine and swerved but was to late to avoid he hit the mine tearing a hole on the left side of the truck making the semi spin out, killing the engine convoy tried to start back to chase them but they were to far away now. "Ok I think we lost them" Damon said he sighed he sunk into the seat "that was too close, do you mind telling me why my own teammates were trying to kill us?" he asked anger and fear in his voice as he stopped the RV thirty feet from the road.

"I'm sorry" Valiena cried tears sliding down her cheeks as she stood up and backed away a bit "I was afraid."

"Afraid of what" he asked gently feeling bad for how he said it.

"Afraid, you would kill me if you found out I m a road warrior" she stammered. He got up walked toward her she back away but he grabbed her before she could react and was pulled into his arms as he embraced her.

" I would never hurt you Val because I love you" he said he 'loved' her she felt so happy as if a great weight was lifted from here heart and returned the hug tears still streaming down her face. She pulled away to look at him.

"you love me?" she asked looking at him hope in her heart.

"With all my heart." He said happily to her as he hugged her again, she grabbed him and pulled him into a passionate kiss which Valiean broke the kiss several seconds later.

"We need to get moving, do you know where we can hide?" he asked happiness still in his heart.

"My teams base is in Las Vegas she said wiping the remaining tears from her face.

" I've been to Vegas a few times mainly for food and other supplies let me check the map to see where we are" he said as he walked toward the glove box and pull out the map opening it up they looked at it until he pointed near the Nevada border. "Ok we are out side Bunker Ville if we get on the highway we will get there in we can get there an hour" Damon said eager to get away.

"Ok lets get going before they find us" Valiena said as see looked in the mirrors to see if they were coming and sat back down as Damon fired up the engine and they drove off into the night. As the approached the Las Vegas sign she said.

"slow down we are close now just turn right ah follow the dirt road behind those rocks and you will find the base". He turned on to the road and drove on at steady pace wanting to rest not have to worry about his former teammates that betrayed him and tried to end his life over one person.

"Have they gone nuts, why would they attack me over one road warrior is she not tell me something, or have the Vigilantes just gone paranoid I'LL find out sooner or later just not now I m tired" He though. As he passed the rocks he was amazed at what he saw it was a giant warehouse, converted into a base. As the RV neared the ware house door opened and a group of people walked out once he was twenty feet away.

"Get out with me" Valiena said as she exited the vehicle.

"I wasn't planning on staying in" Damon said as he got out and walked alongside her toward the people. When they were within six feet one of them said.

"Freeze! Hands up boy that's a far as you go" the young voice yelled.

"Whoa, hey clam down I m not the enemy here" he said cautiously.

"Calm down Jack, he is not an enemy his team attacked when they found out about him saving me" Val said in a calm tone.

"Its good to see you again boss, we though you had bit the dust" a gruff voice said

"I would of if it wasn't for him finding and saving me" she said as she hugged Damon softly which made him blush.

"Wait, you're the road warrior leader?" Damon asked in a curious tone

"Yea, I would have told you sooner but I was too worried about them finding us. Valiena calmly

"Idon't trust him he one of the vigilantes!" a female voice said in hate.

"I m not one of them any more, they tried to kill me!" he said yelled.

"Ha! Once a vigilante always a vigilante" she said in disgust.

"Enough, you guys we are tired and we would like to get some sleep" Valiena said in a commanding voice.

"I'LL pull the car in you go inside" Damon said "Ok,"

"See you inside" she said kissing him before going inside. Damon walked back to the xandua and drove it inside and parked it along side what looked like gold nineteen sixty two Ford Galaxie. As he got out he heard a person "nice piece of work you have" the gruff voice said again turned around to see a guy with blonde hair was around six feet tall and look to be in his twenties.

"Thank you, my name is Damon by the way" Damon said as he held out his hand.

"Pleased to meet you Damon my is name Dante" the man said smiling as he shook Damons' hand he was about to open his mouth but stopped as Valiean came up to them.

"Hey, Dante always the first to introduce yourself to new comers?" she asked smiling slightly.

"I wanted to thank him for saving you we were all worried when you hadn't come back after your trip" Dante said sheepishly

"Well your welcome she was lucky that I found her when I did " he said

"I m glad you did I would be probably be dead by now or worse I owe you a lot for saving me" she said and kissed Damon and smiled

"Do you have place where I can sleep the area where the bed is in the RV is smashed in, I m going to need to replace it and reinforce it" he asked her

"Your sleeping with me sexy" she murmured in his ear before kissing his cheek before walking away she turned around to look at him and said "You coming?"

"Yea" he said as he followed her thru the ware house to a door. "Must be her bedroom" He though Once in she locked the door she pulled him over to the bed and sat with him.
