My Life as a Dragon Slave 7

Everyone loved that chapter more then my other one!

That is weird but I get you all now.

Now, this story will be longer and at some point... emotional. No sex or anything for awhile.....

I know. Many of you want it but I first have to build up the story.

Now, I can't say yet that John and Verdera will be together but I can say that two relationships will be affected and that two small ones will begin.

My Life as a Dragon Slave 7

Hope is not something you can buy,

It is something you must search for.

Love is not something you can grab,

It is something that is deep within you.

I and John got home just in time to see a man with two dragon couples in chains around their necks, held by the man. From the looks of the photos I have seen, those are Liynda's parents.

John sighed heavily as he entered his driveway and parked.

"This is going to be a rough day." He said. I don't know if it was to him or me but I knew it will be a rough day.

We both got out of the car to see the man standing there with a smile. He looked a lot like of those humans who sell cars. He had a flashy suit, nice combed hair and a smile that just made me pissed off.

John did his best to smile at the man and approached him.

"Glad that you have came early." John just lied through his teeth.

The man gave that weird smile.

"Sure thing." He said in almost a calm voice. "I just wish that you could have told me you would be gone so I don't stand here looking like a fool."

John just gave a fake laugh.

"I'm sorry about that. Now...on to business."

I looked at the two dragons that were saddened beyond anything I have seen. They were both side by side and holding each other's claws. The female, which I presumed was Liynda's mother, resembled an older picture of her. Now I can see where Liynda got most of her looks. Even for me, she was gorgeous. Now for the male, wow! Although he was a slave and had scars, he had the six packs that would put any human male to shame. However, he seems to be losing it. Maybe because he is too sad to work out. I wouldn't be surprised, they don't even know about their daughter's death.

John and the man discussed and did all of legal handling and all and in about ten minutes, Liynda's parents were now legally his. It tore me to say that but, again, to other humans, we are just slaves. The business man quickly got in his car and drove away.

John looked at the papers and sighed before looking at the two.

"I guess," he said softly. "You guys are miserable being in those chains?"

They didn't answer him; they just looked at him with hurt eyes. John sighed and approached them. They flinched, even the muscular male, thinking John would hit them. John just pulled out the key the man gave him and slowly unlocked the chains around them.

The chains fell to the floor with a heavy clang of the medal hitting the floor. The dragons rubbed their necks and looked at John.

John just gave them a light smile.

"Don't worry," he said in a kind and carrying voice. "I will not treat you like the way the others have treat you."

The two dragons just gave him the look that I did the first day I got here. Confusion but hidden anger.

John picked up the chains and walked to the outside garbage bin and threw them away before coming back.

"Okay." He said softly and seemed to have a deep pain in his face that he was hiding. He was going to tell them about their daughter but he didn't. I pray that they don't blame him for it.

"MY name is John and welcome to your new home."

They looked over John and saw the house. The first day I got here, I was awed by how it looked and they had the same faces. John just gave a light smile.

"I know it a little big but in do time, you will get used to the size."

The two looked at him with sadden; unblinking eyes and John seemed to be the slave for he was looking very nervous.

"Um... well let's get you two in. By the way, this here is Verdera." He said pointing to me. "She and her family live here as well."

The two dragons looked at me and I just gave a small smile.

"Hello." I said to them quietly.

They just looked at me, thinking something was wrong with me.

John just exhaled and opened the door inside, allowing the two and me in before he got in.

Inside, the two dragons looked at the around the living room with gazes like if they were inside some sort of royal palace. That is what it felt like always in here.

John walked by them and me. He sat on the couch and I sat a cushion away. The dragons just looked at us and John spoke out.

"You two may take a seat if you wish."

They looked at each other before slowly walking slowly down the two steps before sitting down on the couch.

John gave a light smile.

"Well I am sorry for making you two so nervous but I am just as nervous as you are."

The two looked at him, searching for any lies or deceives from him but they seemed more nervous when they couldn't find any.

"I know that you think that I am just going to be like any other owner, by hitting you or whipping you if you don't behave. No, I am not like that. I actually care for dragons and as you can see with Verdera here, I am kind to her."

They turned their looks to me and looked over me; checking if was scared or bruised.

"I won't hit you and I won't treat you like slave. I will treat you as if you were part of my family. I know it may seem weird but you make look into my eyes and find the truth."

They did end up looking at him and I could see them relax a little when they didn't find any threat or harm.

John was content about it and spoke.

"So, may I presume that you are Alaya." he said to the dragoness. "And Mencor." To the male.

They both nodded. John gave another light smile before looking down at the floor and that smile faded. He then looked back up at them with sadden faces.

"I presumed that you two had a daughter before, correct?"

They both went eye wide and knew that this would end bad. John sighed and looked to me.

"Verdera, would you mind staying downstairs for this. I think we need to discuss this alone."

I didn't want to leave but I knew that this was going to end badly so without another word, I stood up and walked to the door and entered. I looked back at John, giving him a worried look. He only nodded and I closed it behind me.

Once John saw Verdera gone, he suddenly covered his eyes, saddens and disappointed. Mencor and Alaya looked at him confusingly.

John let out a deep exhale before speaking to them, slowly removing his hand from his eyes.

"Do you two remember me at all?"

They blinked and looked at his face and slowly began thinking back.

John slowly sat up straight and still looked saddened.

"If you don't then I will tell you. I was the one who bought your daughter five years ago."

They both suddenly went wide eye and both grew very hopeful and fearful.

John lowered his head to avoid their gaze.

"I know what you're thinking and I know that you truly miss her and wish to see her. However... I just hope that you don't blame me for this but." He sighed heavily and looked up at them. "Your daughter... is... dead."

Both parents gasped and Alaya slowly began crying softly. John lowered his head more and he loosened a few tears.

"I am truly sorry you two. For losing her." He said, beginning to slowly draw out more tears. "I truly wished to safe her." He slowly looked up at them and saw Alaya deeply hurt and Mencor as well but he had anger deep in his eyes.

John shook his head before slowly standing up.

"If you want, I can take you to her grave."

Alaya looked up at him with tear filled eyes but she just slowly nodded. She slowly stood up along with Mencor and toke them out back.

I heard everything; from the door way and sighed, knowing that they were in deep pain. My family was still unaware of the new arrivals. They barely were beginning to wake. I quickly crossed the living room and went to the other stairs on the other side and walked up, opening the hatch and entered the shed. I slowly stood out from it and closed the door behind me and slowly opened the shed door.

I'm glad that it didn't make a sound. As I slowly peeked out, I saw John taking the two parents to the gate in which held Liynda in her grave. I could see the emotions running through Alaya's face. And I saw the most horrible and saddening ones that I never knew existed.

When she saw her grave she collapsed, quickly caught by her mate and she roared out with sadness. John too was in tears as he watched as Alaya cry her heart out. Mencor was crying too, trying to act brave but couldn't hold it back. He held his mate, tightly to him; both unaware of anything else but the pain that went through them.

Mencor then looked angrily at John and quickly without warning pinned John to the cave wall with one of his claws on his waist and one on his neck, not squeezing but slowly starting to. I was so surprised by this and in all my heart; I wanted to jump out of my hiding place and help John but stopped when his mate quickly began reasoning with him. I could hear every detail she said to him.

"Please, love! Don't hurt him!"

Mencor growled at John who wasn't even trying to break free, only to push his hand away from his throat.

"He killed out daughter!" he roared. "I don't care if I do get shot by these stupid humans! He deserves it!"

John managed to move his hand away, speaking softly.

"You're right," he said with a calm voice. "I do!"

I gasped in my mind and looked wide eye and John, as did Alaya and especially Mencor. Mencor didn't lose his anger but he did lower John to the ground.

John didn't even care that he was close to be strangled or killed for that matter. He sighed heavily and slowly slid down the wall, as if his legs have failed on him. In fact, the force of the impact has caused him to hurt his back. Even though he was saddened I could still see the physical pain in him. HE was so broken up, began slowly crying again and looked away from the two.

"I do deserve." He said again. "I do deserve to die. I failed to protect your daughter. I failed to protect my friend. I failed you."

Alaya lost her tears and Mencor was still angry but spoke with a much calmer voice.

"What do you mean you fail? You killed her! You did what all lot of you stupid humans like to do! Mess with life! You fucking think you are so great! You think that you are gods, bringing us back to life. You think that just because you can fucking create life, means you fucking understand it! You are all wrong! You only fucking create us and kill us as if we are just... items to throw away! You are just as human as the rest of your kind. I rather die a thousand deaths just to stop what your stupid humans call 'bring back the history' It sickens me and all you humans need to fucking die off!"

All was silent, John didn't say a word. Just looked up at Mencor and slowly closing his eyes and nodded.

"You're right." he said softly. "You're right. Humans don't deserve to live for what they have done. You're right for being mad at me, for your daughter's death. But I didn't kill her."

Mencor growled and towered over John.

"Then what the hell do you call that!" he roared, pointing a finger at Liynda's grave. "You thought that making a pretty poem and calling her your daughter make us believe that?! I bet that that other family that you have here is probably buried somewhere else in this yard!"

John couldn't speak anymore and I knew that he would talk to me about his later but I opened the shed door, making my presence known. They all looked to me.

John looked at me with hurt eyes and I knew that if really pained him to be here. I sighed and slowly lowered myself and put John's arm over me and slowly helped him stand up.

They both looked at me as did John. I was a bit angered at him.

"You're wrong! My family isn't buried here. They are happy here and John is trying to tell you that he didn't kill your daughter. He failed to protect her when she was being hurt."

Alaya was looking at me confusingly but Mencor was glaring at me.

"How would you know that? Did you watch as our daughter was hurt? Did you stand by and watch as he slowly killed her?"

I just stood there angrily with John in my arm.

"No I wasn't but if John had done that, then I would probably be covered in scars and be bleeding to death. John is not the person who kills dragons. He is one of the few humans that I know that truly cares for dragons. He has taken care of my family since we got here. If he truly didn't care, then I too would die a thousand deaths but I would die a thousand deaths to protect my family. I will protect them if it means killing me. I will protect them if means killing everyone that tries to harm him. John isn't a murder. He has the kindest heart that I have ever known."

It was silent for awhile and nobody spoke. Mencor was still pissed but I believe that Alaya was slowly starting to believe that John was a dragon killer.

Mencor continued to glare at me, growling as he spoke.

"You didn't have to lose your only daughter! There is no way you can understand what that feels like!"

I just growled to him before lowering my growl, standing up to the dragon who was a few feet taller then me and spoke.

"No I haven't lost anyone in my family but I can understand the feeling. If you saw how destroyed I was when I was young, I would take your daughter's place."

He blinked heavily and was slowly losing his anger. I just continued to glare at him.

"The day I nearly died is a day I had wished to die. The man who was my previous master was a true monster. He would make you fear him. The day my life changed is the day I nearly died. He made me suffer the worst pain that you cannot imagine. I suffered... horribly and the man showed no mercy. He whipped me till I bled from almost every part of my body. I cried for my parents and I begged for him to stop but he made the pain worse. My family could only hear my screams as that man made his final move on me that would even put you on the floor, crying. He made the worse pain possible from a man and he whipped me with heated metal whips. White hot, they were. As hot as a fire drake's flame. He slashed me three times across my back, making me cry out with all of my heart and lungs. He made sure that I suffered the worst pain in my life and I wished at those moments that I wished that I had died. SO that I didn't have to feel no pain. So that I didn't have to live in a cruel world. I wished to die in that moment and I suffered more during that night. I suffered knowing that I was slowly dying and that my parents watched me die."

I couldn't help but feel tears run down my cheek as I told my horrible past to them.

"They watched me suffer the night away and if I knew Liynda's death, I would have trade places with her. I wanted to die and I'd rather die again and again just to not be in that pain. You don't know what it was like. My family thinking that I was going to die a very painful death. Thinking that I was going to die and never grow up. Thinking that I might never open my wings to fly or ever have a family of my own. I wished to take your daughter's place and honestly, I think that your daughter would wish the same."

I stopped for a bit catching my breath before continuing.

"So don't think that John is a murder. I know that with all of my heart that he isn't one and you must know that your daughter being dead was a horrible act by other humans. Killing John won't bring back your dead daughter. I killed the man who hurt me when another human saved me. She saved my soul and I thought that before, all humans were bad. She wasn't and neither is John. I killed that man but that didn't stop my memories and the pain never fades away."

Alaya and Mencor hadn't spoken for a bit, just looked at me. Mencor has lost all of his anger and Alaya still had tears but they were for me. I didn't need them but I still had tears running down my cheek. I still glared at Mencor.

"So now what do you want to do? Kill John which might never help you get your daughter back? John is a good person and even though he is human, I consider him a part of my family, so if your try to hurt him, you will have to go through me first."

Mencor seemed to be thinking about.

"But you should know," I said to him. "Liynda had a good life and was raised well by John. She had a carrying human to look after her and if she wouldn't have died, I am sure that if John had bought you when she was still alive, she would have been the happiest child, being here with John and you two."

I sighed and looked down at the grave.

"I hope that she is in eternal happiness by the gods and that she was happy being raised and cared by John."

I looked at John was surprised by words and I gave him a light smile before looking up at the two.

John spoke out softly.

"You may take your time being here and once you both are done, I would ask that you join me in the living room. I don't expect for you to forgive me but... I at least want you to believe me when I say that I never killed your daughter." He then looked up at me and seemed to regain his body motions. He was shaken a bit and as we turned around, both dragons gasped. They saw my back and right there and then, they knew that I wasn't lying and what I have suffered was a horrible fate.

I helped John walk back to the house slowly. As we reached the door way, we stopped.

"John." Said Alaya.

I helped turned him around and saw that Mencor and Alaya had their heads lowered a bit.

"We're sorry and we forgive you." They both said. Then their focus was on me. Alaya spoke. "And I am sorry for you Verdera. I am sure that I too would wish for death with your pain."

Mencor nodded.

"And I am glad that my daughter died without that pain." He looked to John.

"Didn't she?"

John gave a small grim face.

"Not as bad as Verdera but I swear, I tried with all my best to save her. Those humans that hurt her did pay for their crimes."

Mencor and Alaya sighed and nodded.

John sighed.

"IF you wish, I can take you to your daughter's room."

They both nodded and walked inside with us.

Inside of the living room, John walked a bit before. However, just as he was about to walk up the stairs, the door bell rang. John sighed.

"Excuse me." he said to the two parents.

He walked into the living room and slowly opened the door to see a man in a military suit.

John immediately spoke out.

"Sergeant?" he asked surprised to see him. "What are you doing here?"

The man looked up at John.

"Sorry to disturb you John." He said in a serious tone. "But we got orders to deliver you your possessions. As of now, you now have full custody of the two military raptors."

Major redo and sorry!!!!!!!!
