The End of a Long Tail
Vritrax and Lorkos find themselves lost on a mountain as a storm approaches, fortunately they managed to find a cave to shelter in to wait it out. What they don't know is that there is something else lurking about, something that would certainly help them in the snows that they hid from.

"Come on Vritrax!" the black furred wolf said as he gestured at the wolf-dragon trailing behind him while the two used their cross-country skies to glide across the snowy countryside. "We should be seeing the crest of the hill anytime now."
"I still think that we went the wrong way on that last trailhead Lorkos," Vritrax replied, puffing slightly while pushing forward in the tracks of the one ahead of him. "Perhaps we should just follow our tail back even if it is the long way around, better than being lost on the mountain with night starting to come along the way."
Lorkos just shook his head and stopped for a moment, taking out his compass while also looking at the trail map that was attached to his jacket. The two had been going for a long time and as the hybrid looked over his shoulder they attempted to trace the outline of the trail they were supposed to go on and try to find any landmarks that might have been where they should have been. It was hard to figure out though and as they looked around neither of them could see anything, which caused them distress as they had no way of alerting anyone that they were lost. What made matters worse was that clouds had begun to form in the otherwise blue skies that they had for most of the way.
"I think that we may have gone a little off-course," Lorkos said as he continued to try and track their heading. "If we double back here though we could join up with this other trail and make up some time, maybe even get back before the snow starts to fall."
"I still think we should double-back," Vritrax replied.
"If we double-back we're still going to get caught in that storm that's forming," Lorkos said as he tucked the map and compass in his pocket. "I'm telling you, this is the way to go, trust me."
About an hour later both skiers had their heads down as they attempted to try and keep the driving snow from hitting them in their faces. Not only were they in the middle of a snowstorm but the whiteout conditions made it next to impossible to see anything that was happening right in front of their faces. With it being impossible for the two to talk they just continued to forge ahead and hope that they either stumbled upon help or a trail marker that would point them where to go. Fortunately they found the former in the form of a cave that appeared in front of Lorkos, the wolf stopping briefly and pointing it out to the hybrid behind him before moving forward once more.
After what felt like ages the two finally managed to make their way inside, guiding one another in before finally collapsing on the side of the cave all. The wind continued to howl outside as the two had a chance to take off their ski goggles for the first time while they panted heavily. "Remind me again what I said about doubling back," Vritrax said as he snapped his boots off of his skis and took them off completely, letting his taloned feet rest out of them while Lorkos did the same.
"That storm was going to catch us either way," Lorkos replied with a sigh as he pulled out the map and compass once more after setting his ski gear aside. "But what I don't understand is how we managed to get so far off course. Even if we did stray from one of the trail heads we should a least be on the cross country trails, but it feels like we're on an entirely different side of the mountain."
"Either way we're just going to wait for the storm to subside before we can head back out," Vritrax stated as he got up. "If it keeps being bad after a few days I'm sure they'll send rescue teams, plsu I have a few protein bars in my bag just in case."
Lorkos just sighed and shook his head while glancing around the cave to see if there was anything useful inside that might help them. At first it looked like the cave wasn't very deep but as the wolf continued to move further back he began to see small passages he could slide through to get deeper inside. With the last thing he wanted to do is get lost in a set of caves while being lost on the side of the mountain he took a length of climbing rope he had packed with him and tied it around one of the rocks that was near the entrance to the passage before going in. There wasn't much of a grade to it and the rope became little more than a means to find his way out as he continued to look around, eventually pulling out his flashlight to illuminate the way around him.
With the rope continuing to unspool in his hand he found a series of very old cave formations that grew larger the further he went in, eventually towering higher than his head as he looked around in awe. "Vritrax would love this," he said to himself as he glanced back at the darkness his line drew out into. "Maybe when he's in a little better mood, like when he's not blaming me for getting us lost."
The wolf still found himself fuming slightly at that, though it was mostly at himself for getting them that way in the first place. He had been so sure... but it was clear he was wrong about what they should have done. All he could do at this point was hope that they would be able to leave quickly and find their way back to some sort of landmark that was on his map. At the moment though the cave occupied most of the wolf's focus, continuing to look about in awe as he began to notice what looked like cave paintings further back. As they grew more ornate suddenly Lorkos felt the rope slip through his fingers completely, and when he looked back he realized that he had just run out.
Just as he was about to turn back however he heard something that caused him to turn around in question. It sounded like a growling noise, but it was unlikely that any creature that could create such a sound would be this deep down into a cave. Just in case he called out and asked if there was anyone there, but despite not getting an answer he once more heard the strange sound yet again. It had to be some sort of natural phenomena that was creating the noise, Lorkos thought to himself, and despite not having any more rope to guide him the wolf found himself moving forward to see if he could find the source.
Lorkos found himself pinpointing the sound to be where he had seen the cave paintings, and when he got back there he saw that there were quite a few more there than he realized. They all seemed to be about giant animals and it looked like they were eating the people, which made sense to the wolf given the time period they were likely created in. As he continued to admire the artwork though the sudden noise, this time much louder, nearly caused him to jump as he turned and aimed his flashlight in the direction of it. To his surprise the beam of light landed on what appeared to be a statue of one of the giant felines as he approached it.
Unlike the cave paintings this statue seemed to be something much more refined as Lorkos walked up to it. While the bottom part of it was bare stone the top half seemed to be covered in some sort of reflective paint that gleamed under the light being shined at it. As he investigated further he realized that the top part wasn't part of the statue at all but rather something covering it. Though he didn't want to disturb such a historical looking site the fact that the top portion looked like rubber that was colored in a snow leopard print made him wonder if there were others that had visited this cave more recently.
When Lorkos lifted the top part of the muzzle that was some sort of hood he jumped back when the entire thing sloughed off of the statue and fell to the floor of the cave. The wolf swallowed hard and looked around as though someone was watching him, and when it was clear he was the only one there he carefully set his flashlight down before moving to the heavy rubber snow leopard skin. As he lifted it up he didn't realize how heavy it was and that it looked like a pelt that some hunter would bring home and spread out on the rug, but as he continued to hold onto it with his fingers he saw the synthetic material was starting to melt into his fur. Not wanting to damage this potentially historic artifact any more than he already had Lorkos quickly put it over his shoulders and got to the back of the statue in order to hoist it over his head and put it back on that way.
Unfortunately for the wolf with it being over his head he couldn't see the ears starting to twitch and the tail flicking about behind him. The latent heat of the warm body beneath it indicated that there was a suitable host beneath him, the rubber snow leopard letting out another grow as his form began to melt more steadily onto the other creature. Lorkos let out a cry of surprise as the shoulders of the pelt he had been holding seemed to slip through his fingers, causing the whole thing to fall on top of him. The heavy weight of it had caused the wolf to fall forward and he was able to catch himself with his hands as the rubber on top of him clung to the fur of his back.
Before Lorkos could recover and try and get the rubber pelt off of him he suddenly felt the hood of it adjust itself onto his own head where the eye holes of the creature lined up with his own. The wolf gasped loudly as he could feel something happening to them as well as feeling something pushing into his ears as they were flattened against his head by the heavy rubber on top of them. "Just relax..." a deep voice said. "It's so much easier that way..."
"Get off me!" Lorkos shouted, though as he attempted to shake himself of the rubber it seemed to suction itself to his back.
"I don't think so," the voice growled once more. "Don't worry, we're going to be so much better once we've properly evolved."
Properly evolved... Lorkos didn't like the sound of that, but as he reached up with his hand to try and pull away the rubber that was suctioning to his face he suddenly found one of the paws of the creatures grabbing it and putting it back down on the cave floor. As it did he watched in shock as the rubber seemed to completely envelop his hand, but as it did so he could feel his actual muscle and bone shifting. It was like it had been placed into a mold and was filling out to meet it until he couldn't tell the difference between the two as the rest of the increasingly gooey appendage wrapped around his.
With the rubber skin still pumping thoughts into his mind the green eyes of the wolf started to glow, the irises beginning to spread as Lorkos began to feel the tendrils of rubber spreading over his fur. When he looked down at himself he could see that the clothing he had been wearing was gone, somehow subsumed by the rubber spreading over him as he could see and feel his stomach and chest starting to warp. Though the changes didn't hurt it was still bizarre to see his toned pectorals and stomach starting to bloat out and become more feral in nature. As he looked past it however he saw something else that caused his eyes to widen as the back of the suit manuvered itself to envelop his backside he saw a rather large rubber feline cock that was adhered to the back of the strange pelt.
As Lorkos tried to call out for Vritrax to help him despite the dragon probably not able to hear him all that came out was a loud moan as he felt his tailhole start to get stretched open by the rubber cock. "Don't worry, we'll be getting to him soon enough," the voice inside Lorkos' head said with a chuckle. "We are going to need more mass, but first we have to get on all fours."
Even though the words were directly flowing into his mind it was hard for him to concentrate as he began to feel the thick rod of rubber start to slide into him while feeling the legs of the pelt adhere to his thighs. As the snow-leopard patterned rubber turned to goo and cascaded down his legs he could feel them changing, bulking up with muscle as his black fur was assimilated and melted into the alien substance. At the same time though his hips rocked forward as the cock of the creature continued to push deep inside him while his own began to throb. As he wiggled and squirmed underneath the intense stimulation he could feel his body starting to move of its own accord, and though at first it was like being a puppet to some other creature as his legs muscles popped and shifted it became more like he was moving them of his own accord... even though he wasn't.
The still exposed muzzle of the wolf went from panting in pleasure to letting out a fierce snarl as the snow leopard personality rooting in his mind took control, the flesh starting to shift even without the corruptive rubber covering it. There simply wasn't enough of the creature to build a proper body out of, it realized as is continued to feed pleasure into the male by pounding the faux feline cock into him while also covering the wolven member with rubber, he would need the other in order to complete himself. Slowly Lorkos got to his feet and when he tried to stand up he found himself unable too, his arms turned to forepaws even with one hand still partially exposed as the patterned rubber enveloped his limbs as he began to slowly move towards the cave entrance...
Meanwhile Vritrax sighed as he sat there, a tiny fire going with what little debris he could find in the cave while the snowstorm continued to rage on outside. As he looked at his watch he realized that it had only been an hour or so since they had taken refuge inside the cave despite it feeling like much longer. Though it was still bright outside with the wall of snow coming down it wouldn't be too long until it was dark out, and the last thing the wolf-dragon wanted to do was stay the night in such a place. Fortunately he had been seeing signs of the storm already starting to lessen, whether it was losing its intensity or moving away from them it was a hopeful sign.
As Vritrax continued to relax he also happened to notice that Lorkos had not resurfaced from his cave exploration in quite some time, which was also a bit concerning. He hadn't been sure on how deep this area went and it appeared it wasn't quite as shallow as he had thought. It also made him wonder if perhaps the wolf was made at him for blaming him for getting lost in the first place as he sighed and leaned his head against the wall. Ever since Lorkos had left to go exploring the guilt at needling him so hard for losing their way on this excursion had been giving him was growing to the point where he knew he would probably have to say something.
Finally when the tiny fire that he had made went out completely Vritrax sighed and stood up, grabbing his flashlight and heading back deeper into the cave. While he was sure that his friend wasn't lost he just wanted to be sure, plus there was nothing going on at the entrance anyway other than watching the snow come down. When he got a few feet back and noticed the entrance into a series of caves he realized that this place was far more extensive than he realized. As he looked around his flashlight beam eventually found the end of rope that led deeper into the darkness.
"Looks like he was just out exploring," Vritrax said to himself as he went over and picked up the end, only to hear a low, guttural growl that caused him to stand up and look around in a slight panic. "Who's there?"
There was no response to the inquiry and the hybrid found himself taking a few steps back towards the light of the entrance while continuing to try and strain his eyes to see anything in the darkness that might be moving. "Lorkos, if that's you I want to say that this isn't funny," Vritrax replied with a hint of irritation. "Come out right now!"
"As you wish," the voice that answered was the wolf's, but it sounded different as a figure began to emerge from the shadows. Vritrax gasped as the creature that came out looked like a rubber snow leopard, though there were large patches of black fur still exposed as it approached. Even as he padded forward the body continued to warp, the rubber still spreading over the creature as it looked at him with glowing green eyes.
"What are you?!" Vritrax said as he continued to back away from the approaching rubber creature. "What have you done to Lorkos!?"
"We have undergone our evolution," the muzzle of the black wolf moved, but the voice was still not Lorkos as Vritrax could see the faint hints of the green back tattoo glowing through the snow leopard rubber on his back. "Lorkos is still here and enjoying the pleasure that our form brings, just like you will be soon. We require your mass to make us whole..."
As the bright eyes of the rubber snow leopard continued to look at Vritrax the wolf that was trapped within the rubber encasing and transforming his body could merely look on through the haze of the lust his mind was being constantly flooded with. The entire time following back the rope towards the cave entrance all Lorkos could focus on were the whispers and words that came from the pelt, though soon it became indistinguishable from his own voice as the rubber in his brain corrupted him. Walking on all fours began to feel more natural by the second as the alien presence merged with him, making them into one creature as their instincts began to focus on what they needed to survive. There was still some of the wolf's body sticking out, including one of his feet that was only partially merged into the rubber hindpaw of the pelt, but that would change very soon...
As the amalgamation of rubber snow leopard and wolf continued to approach Vritrax knew that he was in trouble. Even if he got back to the cave entrance and the snow storm had miraculously stopped there was no way that he could outrun this creature, plus he couldn't just abandon his friend like that. But the more he watched the more it appeared Lorkos wasn't there anymore, or like the creature had said their minds had somehow melded to one with the sole purpose of carrying out whatever plan was in their shared head. Either way it didn't give the wolf-dragon a lot of options as he decided to make a break for the entrance of the cave and risk the weather to try and go get help.
But as soon as he turned his back on the snow leopard the possessed Lorkos took the opportunity to pounce, Vritrax letting out a yelp as he was quickly pinned to the ground. As he tried to wiggle out of the grasp of the creature he could feel the one hand of the rubber snow leopard tear away his clothing, the surprisingly sharp claws ripping through the fabric to expose the grey fur and scales underneath. The augmented strength of the other male made it easy for him to pin down the hybrid until he was completely naked, his body shivering as he saw the green eyes of the snow leopard leer down at him with a smirk on his still mostly wolfish muzzle. To Vritrax it was like Lorkos was wearing some sort of strange rubber mask on the top part of his head, but the creature that was in control was definitely not the wolf as the rubber body began to slide over him.
There was a moment where Vritrax thought that it was prepping itself to mount him, especially when he felt the thick, slightly barbed spire of rubber flesh that the cock of the wolf had become, but then it continued past that while still holding him down with his hind paws. The snow leopard still let out a slight growl of pleasure from feeling the fur of the creature beneath him brush against the sensitive flesh that had become his ever since he stopped thrusting his own into the wolf during the merge, but that wasn't where he was going to merge with this one. He had a special place for the wolf-dragon, the creature mused as he finally stepped off of the hybrid's back and slid his tail against the naked man. He knew that Vritrax would try and run at that point but it was too late, as soon as the wolf-dragon had tried to stand up he found the rubberized feline tail was stuck to him like glue.
The snow leopard just turned and watched with a grin as the rubber spread over the other creature, turning to goo and cascading over his body while trapping him inside. As the appendage expanded to slither over the rest of his body Vritrax suddenly started to feel an incredibly relaxing and pleasurable sensation that was starting to suffuse into his body. Just like with Lorkos he the alien psyche began to seep into his mind as his head was pulled forward until it was right at the base of the snow leopard's tail, and as more of his body became covered the more the rubber covered both of them. While Vritrax would be completely contained inside of the tail the mere addition of his form to Lorkos caused the rest of the latex to spraed down the paws of the wolf and completely mold them into something more feline in nature.
The rubber creature shivered intensely as he began to move once more, his appendage strong enough to lift the wolf-dragon in the air as the rubber spread over his muzzle and down the whiskers of his muzzle. Vritrax could still feel his feet flailing in the air but his arms had already been completely pinned to his sides, feeling the shiny material stretching out over his horns as his whiskers began to grow longer. It didn't take long before they were half as long as his body and completely shiny, and as Vritrax could feel his cock being enveloped in the substance there was another tendril that was pushing inside of his own tailhole. The tentacle morphed into a cock similar to the green and pink rubber one that dangled between Lorkos' legs, and as it slid inside of him it only served to reinforce the pleasure already being given to him as his body was encased.
With his body big enough to easily support both creatures, Lorkos still swelling with growth that came from the rubber coating most of his body and Vritrax being cocooned more and more by the second, the rubber snow leopard began to move his way towards the cave entrance that the two had come into. It wasn't fast, not only was his own erection very prominent between his hind legs but the moaning of two creatures that he had merged with was become very distracting. He pushed more of his power into Lorkos and felt the wolf's lower jaw finally push out the rest of the way into the dire feline muzzle that his upper jaw had already become. A surge of power coursed through both of the trapped individuals still wiggled and writhed within the confines of the rubber skin.
When the snow leopard looked back he saw that most of the wolf dragon was completely coated, though he could still see the blissed out look on Vritrax's face before the shiny surface enveloped it. At this point the only thing that was still left out was the blond mane and grey tail that the rubber was quickly spreading up to and his maleness, though that was also coated with the shiny substance to make it look like a sleeve. The conditioning that was being given to the draconic creature as he merged into the exceptionally long tail was much simpler than what he had given Lorkos; he was just a limb after all, a stretchy prehensile appendage that would be made to wrap around others and ensnare them in his grasp. From how hard the wolf-dragon still was as the rubber continued to stimulate and caress the exposed cock it was clear he was loving it, allowing both him and Lorkos to orgasm as he bounced out of the cave.
The storm had passed and the rubber snow leopard walked out to the freshly fallen snow, anyone that might have seen the creature passed by would have been perplexed or outright shocked at seeing the last vestiges of two other creatures disappearing completely into its shiny body. Even after Vritrax had been completely turned the slight bulge of his horns remained and the two whiskers continued to wave about as rubbery sudo-tails that accompanied the main one. There was also the tattoo pattern that had had imprinted itself on the latex flesh of the snow leopard, but as the last bits of black and grey fur disappeared the creature that had been trapped in the cave for untold ages was released into the world once more. It also knew exactly where to go as it began to bound through the snow with its thick, heavy rubber tail wagging languidly behind it...
As night fell in the mountains the group at the lodge had started to mobilize, fearing for the lives of two missing cross-country skiers that didn't check in after a sudden snowstorm had passed over the mountains. Though it was night out they were going to attempt to make contact anyway, experienced guides going with groups of people as a german shepherd was scanning the area with a pair of binoculars to see the search parties being set up. "Sir, we have everyone linked up to radios and GPS just like you asked," the canine put down the binoculars and looked down at the lizardman that had just spoken to him who pulled a tablet out of his parka and handed it to him. "There will be active pings and the heads of the search parties all know not to go beyond a two-hundred-meter radius for the night."
"That's good," the german shepherd replied, sighing slightly as he rubbed his head. "I should have realized before the storm that there was something wrong when those two didn't return with the rest of those that had gone out on the courses, I thought they might have just decided to go down one of the downhill slopes that borders the cross-country trails instead. I should have been more vigilant."
"It's not your fault sir," the lizardman replied. "Plus the storm only lasted for a few hours, for all we know they just got turned around and are probably holed up in one of the nearby caves waiting for morning. There hasn't been any reports of avalanches or the like in the area either, so there's a good chance that they might just be out there too and turned around because of the storm."
The german shepherd nodded and dismissed he other ranger, looking at the tablet at all the blinking dotes that were about to spread out to look for the two. Everyone had already gotten a look at the pictures, taking the wolf and wolf-dragon's photos from the licenses they had left behind as part of the rental, and knew who they were trying to find. At this point though he just hoped that he wouldn't have to wait until morning to expand their search radius and they would find this creature quick. After a few minutes the teams of three made their way out, the dots spreading out as they started to reach their radius.
Under the watchful eye of the ranger he continued to keep constant radio contact with the group leaders, waiting to see if they found anything yet. "Search party five to home base," the german shepherd heard over the radio, though there was a bit of static that made it hard to hear. "I think we found something over here."
"Is it them?" the german shepherd asked with a hint of excitement.
"Not sure... hey, over there!" the german shepherd could hear them trying to call out to whatever they saw, only to stop suddenly. "What the hell is-" the line suddenly went dead and the park ranger attempted to get them back over the radio several times with no luck. As he attempted once more he suddenly heard a beep and looked down at his tablet to see the GPS trackers of one of the three suddenly go offline... followed by another... and then the last one went dead as he stared at the screen with wide eyes.
