Christmas

Reuben struggled under the packages he bore in his arms, as he cautiously made his way towards the front door of their home, his cloven hooves covered in a protective leather hoof-boot that muffled the clopping sound. As he reacehd the door, he juggled the packages and pressed the door bell.

Hearing the melodic chime ringing, Reuben waited, his forearms starting to strain and soon, he began to tremble under the weight.

"Nathan?" Reuben called out.

Again, he rang the doorbell - silence greeted him. Frustrated, Reuben turned about and used his left hoof to kick at the door, making loud banging sounds - but still his beloved refused to show himself.

"I swear to the Gods - " Reuben snarled. "If he's got those earbuds in again, I'll shove them... NATHAN!"

Again, there was silence.

His usually calm, gentle demeanour at an end due to the crowds and the frantic nature of the late hour, Reuben sighed and crouched down. Placing the packages on the ground, he reacehd into a satchel and pulled out his house keys. Unlocking the door, he walked in, then dropped his keys on the sideboard near the entrance.

"Nathan, if you're..." Reuben growled, his ears slicking back. "Come help me with the packages...please?"

Silence...

A chill rippled down his spine, making his tail frizzle out, as his eyes widened and he began hurriedly searching through the house, fearing something terrible had befallen his beloved, if clumsy, buck.

"Nathan..." Reuben gasped, his fear rising, before he skidded to a halt and slammed against the wall. "What the..."

A single rose petal lay on the hallway floor, a step away, was another and another... leading towards the bedroom.

"Nathan? Are you home my love?" Reuben called out, as he stepped down the hall.

Following the trail of rose petals, Reuben's misgivings grew right alongside his curiosity. Packages fogotten, he began trotting down the hallway and his hooflets rattled against the bedroom door knob.

Throwing it open, he seen the petals were scattered all over the floor and on the bed - but no effeminate Whitetail buck... Reuben frowned, looking in the ensuite and then the bedroom cupboard, before he frowned and sat on the bed.

"I don't know wether to cuddle him or kill him..." Reuben muttered to himself.

As he stood up, he heard something crinkle on the bed. Turning about, he patted it down and found a folded note, written in Nathan's handwriting. Opening it, Reuben's eyes widened as he read the note.

My love,

You will find your hearts desire at the place where you and I consumated our promise to each other, you know the place, it was where you first claimed me as your beloved doe...

Reuben slumped down onto the bed, his paws shaking and tears welling in his corner of his brown eyes.

"Oh, my dear, sweet buck..." Reuben whispered, as he clutched the letter tight to his chest. "It's freezing outside, you'll catch the death of cold!"

Reuben ran from the room, snatching two heavy coats from the antler-rack at the front door, then once again, packages forgotten, he raced to his car and backed hurriedly down the driveway, before he stamped his hoof on the accellerator and with the howl of tyres, the car vanished down the road.

A light snowfall began to fall, forcing Reuben to slow and put the wipers on, before he pulled off the road and parked in the gravel parking lot. Grabbing the spare coat, he slid from the car and hurriedly followed the path.

As he come to the grove where he and Nathan had first made love beneath the stars, his fingers went limp and he stared incredulously at the sight of Nathan. Nathan's long effeminate legs were tucked beside him, bright red stockings were affixed between his cloven hooves and ended about mid-thigh in white, fluffy ruffles. His tail flagged from side to side, a bright red ribbon tied about his tail, down near the base, the bow pressing against his back.

A larger, more ornate red bow was tied around his neck and he looked over at Reuben, a smile spreading across his muzzle as he clasped his paws together and suggestively sucked on a striped red and white candy cane. His tongue curled beneath it, and a tiny drool of saliva began to drip from his tongue as he smiled wider, his eyes crinkling.

Reuben ran to him, then dropped to his knees and wrapped his arms around the quivering Whitetail, who giggled deep in his throat.

"Oh, my dear, sweet, foolish young Doe!" Reuben chastised him, before covering Nathan's muzzle and head in licks and kisses.

Taking the candy cane out of his mouth, Nathan licked Reuben on the cheek, then cuddled him lovingly.

"I'm sorry my beloved, I only have one present to give to you, on this, our first christmas together - this sweet young doe..." Nathan whispered.

Reuben scooped him up, the grunted as he carried the quivering Nathan back to the car.

"You foolish, silly doe!" Reuben chastised him gently.

Nathan giggled shyly, then licked Reuben's left ear from cup to tip. "I wanted to do something nice..."

Reuben paused, then sat Nathan on the bonnet of the car, before taking Nathan's paws in his own as the light dusting of snow fell from the sky.

"Lick my ear again..." Reuben growled, his eyes filled with love and lust. "We won't make it home..."

Nathan's eyes widened and his beautiful smile spread from one ear to the other as his eyes sparkled with mischief and longing.

"I'm willing to risk it..." Nathan replied sweetly as his head moved towards Reuben's ear again.

Reuben's paw closed over Nathan's muzzle, then Nathan smirked and began sucking on Reuben's furred fingers, his soft tongue flickering over and around the fingers.

"Urgh - " Reuben gurgled, as his body trembled and not from the cold. "Why do I put up with you?"

Nathan only smiled wider and continued suckling Reuben's fingers.
