(TSWC) Entry: Desire
#1 of The Sins We Carry
This is the first entry in a story series I wrote for my boyfriend over on FA (Solrent). This idea came to me after watching some stuff on Youtube followed by my love for D&D, Pathfinder, & Fire Emblem. I know my writing skills aren't the best as others, but I did try my best and I hope all who do read will appreciate the effort.
Solrent belongs to my BF Solrent (https://www.furaffinity.net/user/solrent) and who also helped me with some editing/grammar

The Sins We Carry
Entry: Desire
The sun was shining brightly from the window, as the sounds of birds chirping away broke the silence in the room. A yawn was heard as a figure shuffled out of bed, stretching their arms and scratching their back as they slowly rose. Here, we see a dragon-like figure, orange in color with some cream around his belly. He spread his wings, showing off the jade color of his membranes. His tail slowly dragged itself off the bed, laying on the floor as it idly thumped on the hardwood next to his three clawed feet.
Solrent
Battle Master Fighter
Dragonewt
He smiled and looked across the room, seeing his companion still asleep. He went over to the bed and reached out to grab their shoulders. "Wakey wakey, no sleeping in today, sunshine."
As if on cue, a groan was heard as his companion slowly rose from the bed, turning his body so his feet touched the floor, creaking the boards below. The companion slowly stretched his arms out and gave off a big yawn, blinking his eyes as he looked back up at his partner with a disgruntled expression. Solrent smiled as he glanced up and down as his companion, seeing his dark blue scales reflect brightly against the sun, with his lighter blue undertone extending from his jaw to his belly, all the way down to his feet. His blue spines pointed up as a few yellow stripes can be seen flanking on either side of his thighs.
"You could at least give me a few more minutes Sol, I'm really exhausted from our last quest."
Solrent chuckled and said, "Well, we cannot let our day go to waste now can we? I heard the guildmaster wants to talk to us, so get your clothes on and let's head downstairs. Ok Rex?" Solrent then walked over to his closet as he slowly got his gear on.
Still yawning, Rex shook his head in annoyance, but slowly left the comfort of his bed and dragged his feet over to his closet as well. "I swear, I do not know how you can be so happy-go-lucky sometimes."
Rex
College of Eloquence Bard
Dinosaur
Solrent don his armor, a simple metal plate and leggings, protecting not only his main body, but extending to his tail as well. A sharp spear draped over his shoulder as he started to head towards the door. "You about dressed yet Rex?" Solrent asked as he looked over to his partner.
Rex turned and nodded at Solrent, wearing his musical attire that one would see in a theatrical play. "Yeah, I guess so. I don't have much protection like you, but my clothes are simple enough for me to move dexterously about."
"Good Rex, so let's see what the guildmaster wants," Solrent responded back as the two made their way downstairs.
As our adventurers headed downstairs, they surveyed the crowded lobby of their lodging. Tables were filled with various adventurers, races ranging from humans, elves, orcs, & ogres, to the more "beastial" races such as dragonewts, lizardfolks, leonins, and tabaxis. Everyone seemed to be conversing within their selective groups, talking about various quests and experiences they all have been through. Solrent looked over at Rex and said, "Hmm, there seems to be a lot of chatter going on around here. I wonder what is going on."
Rex scanned the crowd and stated, "Honestly, I have no idea. It was not this busy yesterday right Solrent? I guess maybe we can talk to the guildmaster and see what's up then."
"Mmm...true I guess he may know a thing or two...Oh wait, there he is, and he looks to be waving at us Rex." Solrent saw a person waving to them from behind a desk as they made their way to him. Once they arrived at the desk, Solrent asked, "Hey Faladiel, is there a convention that we were not made aware of? It seems that a lot of adventurers are here today."
Faladiel
Monastic Tradition of the Ascending Dragon Monk
Elf
"Oh, have you not heard?" said Faladiel. "Apparently we had a group complete a big quest in slaying a dragon tormenting a village and they are here to celebrate it."
"I see, well I mean, good for them I guess right Rex? We honestly don't need all that attention for us. We just like doing the simple stuff."
"If you say so Sol, but..." Rex peered back at the crowd. "It would not hurt sometimes to maybe get a little bit of that attention."
Solrent placed his hand on Rex's shoulder, "Now now, I know that we may not be as well-known as those adventurers over there, but we should be happy that we still are alive and taking on tasks to help others."
Annoyed, Rex exclaimed, "Whatever. I am just saying that it would be nice sometime to get a little bit of attention."
Shaking his head, Solrent glanced back at Faladiel. "So, anything new you would like us to do Faladiel? I know our last quest did put a toll on Rex's wimpy body," Solrent teased Rex by sticking his tongue out at him and smiling. Rex rolled his eyes back at Solrent in disgust.
"Well Solrent, and especially you Rex, I think I have a quest you might be interested in."
"Oh Faladiel?" Rex asked inquisitively. "Do pray tell."
"Have you guys heard of the Mad King?" Both Solrent and Rex shook their heads to Faladiel. "Well, let me tell you about him real quick then. The Mad King, Darshan, is an evil man who terrorizes various continents around the world." Solrent and Rex gave a confused expression over to Faladiel. "Yes I know what you may be thinking, how would someone who is conquering other continents not be this known. The thing is, he is actually conquering other planes of existence. You know, like the astral plane and other "dimensions" as we would put it."
"This sounds very confusing and convoluted Faladiel," Rex said. "How on earth do we even fit into this? I mean, shouldn't you ask the other adventurers or post this on the job board?"
Faladiel beckoned both Rex and Solrent to lean up closer as he spoke in a quieter tone. "This is not something I want to tell everyone. You see, I am keeping this under wraps with the other guildmasters around the continent. We all agreed to send one adventurer group out to see if they can tackle and slay the evil king. And we do not want to make it too publicly known and cause a panic."
"But then," Solrent began to say. "Why choose us then? I mean, I know we are somewhat experienced, but this seems to be on a level that may be out of our league."
Smiling, Faladiel said, "Ah, I know. But I see a bunch of potential in you two. You have the personality and spirit to conquer this quest. And besides," as Faladiel looked over at Rex. "This is something I know you personally would like. A bit of fame and of course, special items that I would be happy to reward you as well."
Rex's eyes lit up at the mention of rewards, his gaze quickly moving towards Solrent. "Well, what do you think? Wanna go for it? It sounds intriguing and even if it is tough, we figured things out here and there."
Solrent nodded his head and said, "Sure, let's do it. If Faladiel personally wants us to take on this quest, it cannot be too bad right?"
Clapping his hands, Faladiel responded, "Good, good. Now, to get to him is not actually easy. You have to collect what I would say, the 7 gemstones that would open the portal to his plane of existence."
"7 gemstones?," both Solrent and Rex asked together.
"Yes, 7 gemstones that are guarded by his own 7 guardians...well more like sons I guess..." Faladiel responded. "These 7 guardians of his each possess a gemstone. And from the knowledge I know, they are all dragonewts, like you Solrent. I guess you two will do whatever it takes to acquire the gemstones and open the portal to his dimension."
"And do you know anything else about these 7 dragonewts, Faladiel, besides their race? I was hoping you can tell Rex and I some special power or maybe even what class they are so we can be better prepared."
"I do not have much information, but I will do my best to look into more about all 7 of them. I do, however, have an idea on the first one. He's red in color and his last known location is marked here." Faladiel brought out a map and pointed at a cave that he had circled. "It will be about a day's worth of travel. So I recommend you guys pack some gear and prepare a night's camp. I'll give you the basic supplies for that, but the other stuff, you guys will be on your own. But knowing you two, I think you guys are more than well prepared to handle any combat along the way."
Rex reached his hands out to grab the map and securely placed it on himself. "Thanks Faladiel. I guess we ought to go prepare then, right Sol?"
Solrent looked back at Rex and nodded his head, "Mmhmm, we better prepare for sure. Let's just grab any necessities we need from our room and then we will head out."
"Excellent then Solrent and Rex. I will pray for your success," Faladiel said. "Now, I must get back to my business and see if I can get any more information on the other guardians. Good luck."
Solrent and Rex waved goodbye to Faladiel as they moved back into their room. Once inside, they rummaged through all of their belongings, stuffing their backpacks with the essentials such as potions of healing, antidotes and rations for their camp. Satisfied, they both locked their room and headed back downstairs, passing by the crowd in the lobby. They glanced over at the lobby counter and noticed a sack sitting idly. Upon closer inspection, a tag of their names was attached to it. "Hey Rex, this must be the supplies that Faladiel has promised us." Solrent thoroughly examined the sack to find basic supplies in setting up a camp, followed by a note tucked away. Solrent brought out the note and it read: Hey Solrent and Rex. Sorry again that the information I have is very lacking. And also that these supplies are not as many as you would hope. With the big party here, I seem to have misplaced the extra supplies I think you will need. It probably got stolen, to be honest. Anyway, I have faith in you two and cannot wait to hear back. Good Luck once again. Faladiel.
"I mean, I expected us not to get that much, it's a good thing we packed the extra food and pots if we need it, right Sol?
Nodding his head, Solrent responded with a chuckle, "I hope it's enough food for both of us. You are a bit of a glutton when it comes to eating."
"Whatever, I just like eating food ok. Supporting your fat ass takes a toll on my fragile body. You know how often I have to keep cheering you on and inspiring you? Not to mention casting magic here and there. It takes a lot of energy. All you do is pokey and stabby."
"Yeah, and it's not easy either Rex. I have to do precise pokey and exact stabby," Solrent remarked, showing off his motions with his spear, almost hitting Rex in the head."
"Hey, watch it!" Rex exclaimed, ducking from Solrent's careless jabs. "You do not want to injure your partner. Or else you will be stuck fighting 1 v 1, or maybe even more." With that loud remark, some heads from the lobby started turning in their direction. Some murmurs amongst the crowd can be heard, people saying, "Aren't those two from the same party, why are they starting an inhouse brawl?" "Do we have to alert the guildmaster about infighting here?"
Shaking his head and smiling at Rex, Solrent grabbed Rex's hand and said, "On that note, let's go before we draw even more attention."
Solrent and Rex then headed out of the guild and started their journey. They went south of the town, towards the cave circled on the map near the base of a mountain range. Along the way, Solrent and Rex encountered various creatures that inhabit this world. They slew dire wolves, bugbears, and goblins without even breaking a sweat. After traveling for some time, night slowly fell onto them. Seeing an open fielded area off to the side of the road, they both decided to set up camp.
"Man Sol, I know slaying wolves and whatnot should be an easy task for us, but I still get a little tuckered out from all the various monsters that roam the fields. Why can't they just leave us alone?"
"I mean, to put it simply Rex, I guess it is just survival of the fittest for them. They see two prey walking around, and what is better than to score some free meat then? Lucky for us, we are experienced enough to take care of them. And those who do survive, they know better than to mess with us next time."
"If you say so Sol. I honestly just want to get this quest over with. I just have this weird feeling that we may have bitten off more than we can chew."
"Don't be such a worry wart Rex. I got your back, and you know that I will not do anything to harm you," Solrent said innocently, pitching up their tent.
Rolling his eyes, Rex responded, "Yeah, sure. Don't think I have not caught you trying to be devious with me. I know you watch me while I take showers and you get rather close whenever we are forced to sleep in cramped quarters. Like I said, we are in this as adventurers just questing together. Nothing more right now, okay?" Rex prepared the firewood in the middle and cast Prestidigitation, lighting up their bonfire.
"Sure, sure, you tell yourself that buddy." Solrent shrugged his shoulders as he sat down and placed his hands out to feel the fire warm himself up.
The moon was seen high above our party, shining its light and casting shadows around them. Solrent looked over to Rex and asked, "I think we should hit the hay right? It is getting late and we do have a very big day ahead of us."
Nodding, Rex said, "Yeah, just give me a sec. Let me just cast a spell for us real quick." Rex concentrated deeply within his mind before uttering a phrase under his breath. Alarm. Rex looked over at Solrent as he said those words. "There, I have set us an alert in case something we don't want joins us. Now, if you will excuse me, I am very tired from that fight. Night Sol." Rex headed inside the tent first and slowly began to drift off.
Solrent continued to look up at the moon, seeing its full circle light up the night's sky. The stars scattered about, dotting the blank canvas up above. Solrent closed his eyes, imagining how peaceful it was when they were not in town. Even though they do enjoy sleeping with a roof over their heads, the idea of just being out in the open was so much more grand for them. No worries, no eyes on them, no one to barge in on them. Off in the distance, Solrent swore he heard some soft tones. Not sure if it's the crickets chirping, or the fire flies buzzing around, he felt like maybe someone was humming a tune. A slight, sinister smile briefly crossed Solrent's face, with thoughts about his partner Rex striking his mind. He felt like his body moved on his own as he opened the entrance to their tent, seeing Rex sleeping. The blankets seemed to be at his feet, which Rex probably kicked in his dream. Solrent's eyes continued to scan up and down Rex's body, seeing how vulnerable and open Rex was. Just as he felt like his hands were reaching towards Rex, Solrent shook his head and blinked his eyes. Thinking to himself, Solrent wondered what just happened and how he ended up in the tent. He could have sworn he was just staring at the moon not too long ago. He poked his head back outside the tent and scanned the night's horizon, only to see nothing within a mile around. "I probably am hearing and seeing things. It was a long day after all. I guess it's time for my shuteye as well." Solrent took one last look at Rex, before going over to his sleeping bag and dozing off.
The next morning rolls around. Solrent slowly got up and peered over to his side and was surprised to not see Rex's body. Shocked, he quickly sprung up and headed out the tent, but luckily saw Rex preparing a quick meal for them to eat before heading out. Rex glanced at Solrent, a bit surprised at his demeanor. "Everything all right there Sol? You looked like you saw a ghost or something. I'm just preparing our breakfast as usual when we are out and about. Remember the last time you tried to make something for me? You burnt our entire meal to a crisp. I guess you can call that dead for sure, haha."
Solrent gave off a slight chuckle, "Hey at least I tried okay. I may not be the best cook, but it's the thought that counts. And besides..." Solrent walked over and plopped his tush onto the log in front of the campfire, "you know nothing beats your cooking. I always feel inspired to start my day after eating a meal prepared by you."
Rex smiled and finished preparing their breakfast, consisting of some chicken eggs and the belly skin of a pig. "Bon appetite then." Rex handed a plate over and both companions casually enjoyed their breakfast.
Once they finished their meal, Solrent and Rex packed up their camp and started heading towards the foot of the mountains. Lucky for them, nothing too eventful crossed their paths towards the cave. They did come across a few more beasts around the area, but none of them dared to approach. After some time, Solrent and Rex managed to arrive at the base of the mountains. "Hey Sol, I guess we are here, right? So where is that cave that Faladiel circled for us?"
Looking around, Solrent saw nothing but mountains upon mountains in this area. "I have no clue, do you think maybe Faladiel got a bit mixed up on the directions?"
Staring at the map, Rex tried to match where the cave would be. "If I am reading this right, it should be right here," as Rex pointed with his claws directly ahead. "But I see nothing but just rocks and more rocks....wait a min..."
Tilting his head, Solrent asks, "Hmm, do you see something?"
"Yeah, I think so, Sol. I mean, if I was someone like this, I would not want anyone to just walk in, right? I have a hunch, but let me see..." Rex closed his eyes and, underneath his breath, cast another magical spell. Detect Magic. And sure enough, Rex sensed an aura emanating from the rocks, as it started to now shimmer in front of his eyes. Walking over towards the rocks, Rex stuck out his hand, slowly approaching the rocks. Right as he would think his hand would stop, it moved right past them. "That is what I thought, this is nothing more than just an illusion. I bet someone does not want us to find them." Rex pulled his hand back and looked over at Solrent. "Well, you ready for this?"
Nodding his head, Solrent said, "Let's do this, I'll take the lead." Solrent, followed by Rex, then headed into the cave, going past the illusionary entrance.
Solrent led the way into the cave, with Rex supporting by summoning a little bit of Dancing Light. The spell helped light a path ahead of them, shining bright upon any shadows that may hide from them. Their path seemed straightforward, a bit too straight and linear for them. "Hey Rex, isn't this a bit suspicious? I mean, I have not seen any turns or alternate paths. It just has been a straight path the entire way."
On alert while constantly looking behind him, Rex responded, " You are right Sol. This is a bit too easy. It is almost like...wait...shh....quiet Sol...do you hear that?"
Stopping in his tracks, Solrent tried to listen to his surroundings, only to come up short. "I do not hear anything Rex, what do you hear?"
"I swear it sounds like faint humming, like something someone of similarity to me would do."
"You mean, like a bard?"
"Yeah, exactly like that, I think it is coming from up ahead, look," Rex said as he pointed ahead. They noticed the path in front of them slowly leading to an entrance to an underground lake. Solrent and Rex stealthily snuck up to the entrance and flanked each side, both peeking into the room. There, the two saw a figure just humming to themselves as they stared into the water. Looking a bit harder, both Solrent and Rex were able to deduce that the figure looked to be dragonian-like, almost like a dragonewt. The color of their tail and the back of their head appeared to be red, but the attire they wore was a bit regal, a fancier version of what Rex wore. "You think that is our guy?"
Nodding, Solrent said, "It has to be. Looks like a dragonewt like me, and red. I bet this is who Faladiel wants us to confront. And he looks to be a bard right?"
Nodding his head as well, Rex said, "Yea, I can tell a bard real easily. But... I wonder what college he went to. I cannot tell, so best be prepared. If it's Lore or Swords, you better be prepared for that."
Grinning and chuckling, "No need to worry about me Rex, I think I got this. I feel physically prepared to take him on," Solrent responded full of confidence.
Shaking his head and sighing, "Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer Sol. Just be prepared mentally as well. We don't know what kind of bard he is, and just like how I am good with my tongue, don't fall for any sweet talk from him as well."
"Stop worrying Rex, you know everything is going to be fine. We always escape unscathed. Now, on three. One...Two..."
And on three, both Solrent and Rex burst through the entrance and stood firm against their opponent ahead. Hearing the shuffling of movement coming against its way, the figure turned, and gently tapped on his musical instrument, a keytar. "Looks like you finally made it. I was wondering how long it would take for you to show up."
Rubrum
College of Glamour Bard
Dragonewt
Startled, Solrent said, "Wait, you knew we were coming?"
Doing a curtsy bow, the figure said, "But of course. The moment your friend over there put his hand through my entrance, I knew someone was here. The name's Rubrum by the way, but I doubt you will remember that after this anyway.
Staring intently, Rex replied, "And what do you mean by that?"
"What I mean is that you two are not going to make it out of here alive. I know why you are here, it is for this thing isn't it?" Rubrum reached into his pocket and pulled out a gemstone. "You are after my ruby and there is only one reason why you need it. Well, you two are more than welcomed to try and take it from me," Rubrum said with a smirk across his face.
Readying a battle stance, Solrent replied, "Best prepare yourself then Rubrum." Looking over to Rex, Solrent asked, "Ready for this, partner?"
Nodding his head, Rex pulled out his ocarina and prepared to support Solrent, "You got this Sol."
Raising an eyebrow, Rubrum looked over at Rex's direction and said, "Oh? A fellow bard, well, this changes things a bit. Why don't I play us a little battle music while we fight? I'll give myself that handicap just for you two." Rubrum then started playing a tune on his keytar, with the echoes of the cavern amplifying the sound.
Chucking in confidence, Solrent said, "Your funeral Rubrum. Now, let's do this. Hyaahh!!!" Solrent then charged towards Rubrum with his spear pointed right at them.
Rubrum easily sidestepped out of the way, smirking at Solrent as he dove right past him. "Got to do better than that if you even want to attempt to poke me with your stick. If you even think you have a chance of defeating me, first learn to hit."
Annoyed, Solrent pivoted and swung his spear at Rubrum's body. Rubrum easily ducked by bending backwards and then backflipping once away, landing perfectly on his feet and his one hand still playing his keytar. "Not bad, not bad. I almost thought you got me there."
"Hmph, you ain't seen nothing yet," stated Solrent.
"Here Sol, have some inspiration," Rex said, as he started playing his ocarina in the direction of Solrent.
Filled with the tune from Rex's ocarina, Solrent felt inspired in his next attack. "Thanks Rex." Solrent swiftly charged towards Rubrum again, lunging forward and attempting to swipe at him.
Rubrum continued to sidestep and dodge all of Solrent's advances, but one of the attacks from Solrent was able to nick him on the shoulder. Grimacing a little bit, Rubrum rotated his shoulder and chuckled, "Heh, so you do have some ability in combat. Well, I guess you have to thank your cheerleader for that then."
Smiling, Solrent said, "Of course. We are a team after all. And that's how partners fight in combat. He knows his capabilities and what he can do, and he enjoys supporting me all the way."
Putting one of his clawed hands to the bottom of his snout in a thinking gesture, Rubrum replied, "I see, I see. You make it sound like you and him form the perfect relationship." Rubrum emphasized that last word which caught Solrent's attention.
Maintaining his battle stance, Solrent asked, "And what do you mean, relationship?"
Snickering, Rubrum said, "You'll see my dear dragonewt. You'll see."
Rex yelled, "Don't listen to him Sol! Remember what I said. Bards can be tricksters with their tongues."
Solrent glanced back over at Rex and nodded his head, "Yes Rex. Don't worry about me, I got this." Solrent gave Rex a thumbs up before turning his head back towards Rubrum. "Let's resume our little brawl then." And with that, Solrent charged once again towards Rubrum. However, Solrent started to feel a warm, fuzzy feeling in the back of his mind. Ignoring it for now, Solrent focused on eliminating the opponent in front of him.
The battle continued for what felt like an eternity to Solrent and Rex. Solrent continued to lunge and be on the offensive, with Rex giving him endless support from the side. Rubrum continued to sidestep, jump, and dodge any further attempts from Solrent ever since he was hit once.
Panting, Solrent said, "Do you do anything besides dodging. I do not know much about bards, but I feel they are more than capable of just jumping around." The feeling in the back of his mind started to slowly creep up on him as Solrent gave off a small grimace.
Noticing the grimace and smiling deviously, Rubrum said, "Why would I need to do that? You can already tell that I may not be the most combat oriented bard. However, I have already won this battle."
Tilting his head, Solrent responded, "Wait...what...do you mean...by that..."
With a concerned look on his face, Rex rushed over to Solrent and said, "Hey Sol, you ok there? Hey...Sol!!!"
Solrent dropped his spear and fell to one knee, clutching his head. The warm feeling now pounding in his head. Rex leaned over and tried to assist Solrent as best as he could, trying to figure out what was wrong. With the little strength he had left, Solrent looked in Rubrum's direction, seeing the opposing dragonewt play his keytar with such life and vigor.
"And now, for my finale, if you do not mind." Rubrum played the notes on his keytar with such ease and the moment he hit the final note, the entire cavern went silent. Solrent's panting stopped, his breathing shallow. His arms hung loose next to him as he stayed in a stiff, unwavering motion. "Hmm, all according to plan. So..." Rubrum pointed his clawed finger at Rex. "What do you think of my... Enthralling Performance?"
After hearing those last two words, a sense of dread filled Rex, "Wait...enthralling performance...oh F..."
"It seems you know exactly what that entails. Now, my little slave Solrent. Rise and obey me." Solrent's body moved on its own as it rose and gave off a blank stare at Rubrum, his eyes glazed over. "Now turn around." Solrent turned around and stared menacingly at Rex. "Allow me to let you in on a little secret my fellow bard. The reason why I do not fight myself is that I have others fight for me. Why get your own hands dirty if there are others who can do it for you. And another thing you can take to your grave. Your partner here was the perfect target for my performance. If you only knew what he thought about you."
Backing up slowly and shaking, Rex inquired, "Wait...that statement... If I only knew what he thought about me?"
Rubrum responded, "There were so many signs. You are oblivious aren't you? I read into his mind, I know his feelings towards you. The desire he has towards you. How can you even call yourself a bard if you did not know what I was doing? You know what we are capable of."
Feeling his pride slightly hurt at that comment, Rex said, "Well...I mean...the performance..."
"Cat got your tongue? You can barely make any statement. You must be one of the worst bards to ever exist. I am surprised this slave of mine stayed with you for so long. But don't worry, I'll be sure to put that tongue of yours to good use momentarily."
Shaking his head, a little bit of fury in his eyes now, Rex said, "Hey! I am the best partner Solrent can ever ask for. And I know just how to get him back. Counter Ch---."
"Oh no you don't. Slave, grab him. NOW!" Rubrum yelled as Solrent quickly rushed towards Rex and grabbed him by the throat, lifting him up into the air. Rex started choking and tried to use his hands to pry away the grip from Solrent. "I know what you are trying to do, and I will not let you do that. I'm going to personally keep this slave, and have him eliminate you. Isn't that the perfect way to end this relationship? But...," a devious smile formed across Rubrum's snout. "I know the perfect satisfaction I can give my slave before ending your useless life."
Gasping for air, Rex tried to pull Solrent's hands away from his throat but to no avail. He started to swing his body and kicked at Solrent but he remained unfazed. "S...So....Sol...."
Snapping his clawed fingers, Rex felt the grip on his neck tighten a bit more. "I would not waste your breath if I wore you. He cannot hear you, no matter how much you try. He's too enthralled by my charm. And knowing his personality so far, he's not ever coming back. So you might as well just get used to what I have in store for you now." Looking at his slave, Rubrum commanded Solrent to let go of Rex.
As Rex fell to the ground, coughing and gasping for air, he tried to say some words, but his vocal cords betrayed him. No matter how much he wanted to say something, he did not have the energy to muster even a simple call for help. Defeated, he looked up, but was shocked to see what was in front of him.
Staring in front of him was not just his partner, but his partner's huge 9-inch cock dripping with pre. He saw his partner's leg armor tossed to the side, wondering when he had the time to even take those off. But before he even had a chance to entertain that thought, he felt a grip on the back of his head shove him towards Solrent's cock. Rex tried to pull his head away but the strength of Solrent's claws on his skull proved overpowering. Rex stared cross-eyed as the tip of Solrent's cock just barely tapped against his snout, a bit of pre shot towards his nostrils. Rex looked up with pleading eyes for Solrent to stop, for him to just snap out of it, but all he saw was that blank stare looking down at him, with a bit of smirk across his partner's face.
Giving off a sinister laugh, Rubrum crossed his arms as he circled around Solrent and Rex to get a good view of the two. "You see there my fellow bard, I at least am somewhat of a nice guy. I will give your partner something he truly desires. Something that he has always wanted to do. And once he gets what he wants, he will fully be under my command. And with you out of the picture, he will be my perfect spy to eliminate all those in the guild. Now, I did say I would put that tongue of yours to good use sooner or later. So, my slave, just go and give him the face fucking your partner deserves."
Smiling evilly down at Rex, Solrent shoved all of his dick straight to the back of Rex's throat, causing Rex's eyes to bulge out. Rex started gagging and tried to breathe, but Solrent's member took up all of his wind. Tears started rolling down Rex's eyes which caused Solrent to smirk and slowly pull back his cock. Thinking his partner was somewhat in control of his body and letting him catch his breath, a smile slowly formed on Rex before it was dashed away as Solrent shoved his dick all the way again. Rex felt all the veins and the thickness of his partner as he was caught deepthroating and taking in as much as he could. His tears came back to him, his eyes pleading for Solrent to stop, but all Solrent kept doing was thrusting his dick back and forward in Rex's maw like a jackhammer. Every instance Solrent pulled back and rested his dick on Rex's tongue, he felt a spurt of pre shoot into the back of his maw, tasting the pungent and musky flavor of his partner. Rex wanted to cough, to spit it back up, feeling how disgusting and vile all of this is, but all he could do was continue to swallow and massage his partner's dick. Rex closed his eyes and tried his best to not have his sharp teeth rub against his partner, since he did not want to hurt Solrent, despite the situation he was in. All Rex could do was sit there, relaxing to the best of his abilities and hoping this nightmare would end. A bit of wishful thinking came across Rex's mind as he started to feel his partner pulse in him, Solrent picking up the pace and sawing in-and-out of Rex's mouth with ease. Rex just prayed and when he felt Solrent pull back one last time, he knew this was it, the final thrust and all of this will finally end.
Yet, Solrent just stood there, his dick rested now on top of his snout as Rex opened his eyes in a bit of relief, but confused and concerned as well. Solrent's member continued to pulse and shot a bit of pre onto Rex, the smell of it slowly overwhelming Rex's senses. Out of the corner of his eye, Rex saw Rubrum gave off a slow clap.
"Mmm, you have to admit there Mr. Bard, or rather, Rex I believe it was," said Rubrum. "This was rather hot to watch. You are better than I thought at taking your partner. Are you sure this is your first time? You look like an expert with how you expertly use that tongue of yours to pleasure your companion. But first, you may be wondering, why didn't Solrent finish in my maw and be done with it? Well, let's just say, my slave, Solrent's truest desire, is to claim the one thing he always wanted." Rubrum did a spinning motion with his clawed fingers and Solrent nodded his head, looking down at Rex before flipping him onto all fours.
Rex was frightened with shock as his limbs betrayed him, not able to move as Solrent reared back with his claws and swiped at Rex's lower half, shredding his pants and leaving his bottom bare naked. Rex's eyes filled with more terror as he looked back at both Rubrum and Solrent, seeing his partner slowly lift his tail up, exposing his hole to the open air. Solrent reached down and grabbed his dick and positioned it right in front of the hole, circling his tip and teasing the entrance. Rex shook his head, pleading one last time to Solrent to not do this, hoping he can get through to his partner. However, all Rex saw was a sinister smile across Rubrum's face, with the same one mirroring Solrent before Solrent finally pushed his dick into him. Moaning and groaning loudly in pain, he felt Solrent continue to push inch after inch of that monstrous cock deep inside of his rear. What felt like an aeon, Solrent finally stopped, but not before giving one last push, Solrent's heavy sack bumping against Rex's tush. Rex grimaced in pain as he fully felt violated, his partner now deep inside of him, and his special, sensitive button being pressed. And to make matters worse, Rex felt a stirring in his own groin, life being drawn to his own personal manhood as well.
Before Rex was able to concentrate on his own personal dilemma, he felt Solrent pulled back and thrust forward, that huge cock continuing to stretch and loosen the walls in his rear. Solrent picked up a rhythm, fucking his partner like no tomorrow, with Rubrum giving off a clap to stay in beat with Solrent. Rex continued to moan and cry in pain, his arms and legs shook from the relentless pounding his ass was taking. Eventually, his limbs gave way and he collapsed forward, causing his rear and tail to raise even higher. Solrent gripped his tail even firmer as the endless fucking continued. As the toll on Rex's physical and mental state started to get the better of him and his vision slowly fading away, he managed enough strength to look back once more at his partner. He saw Solrent's smirk, slowly pulling back, leaving only the head at the entrance of his rear. Rex knew what was coming next, and with just a blink of his eye, Solrent pushed in one final time, his cock pulsing and bursting all inside of his rear. Copious amount of cum spilled and flooded inside of Rex's bowels, like a faucet filling a kitchen grade sink. Rex moaned loudly, feeling his special button being squirted on by his companion's milk, causing the chain reaction of his own cock to slowly emerge from his slit. Eventually, Solrent pulled out, with one last burst shooting across Rex's back. Cum started to leak out of Rex's tailhole as Rex just laid on the cold floor, panting and having shallow breaths.
Clapping his hands in applause, Rubrum looked over at Rex, admiring the work of his slave. "Good, good. This was a bit more than I expected. I never realized the amount of love your own partner had for you there Rex. It's a shame though, that I will not ever see this again. I cannot take a chance with keeping you alive and ruining the fun I will have. Now, my slave, go end your partner's pathetic life, ONCE AND FOR ALL!"
Solrent looked down at his partner, his expressionless face showing no concern, no remorse, nothing. With the very last bit of his energy, Rex managed to make eye contact with Solrent. Solrent looked back, seeing how helpless and defenseless his own partner was, how completely vulnerable Rex laid on the floor. Rex felt like he had nothing left he can do, except to accept his fate. As Solrent reared back with his claws, preparing for the fatal swipe, Rex managed to give off one last word with his dying breath. Smiling, Solrent followed through and swiped at Rex, with Rex giving off one last gasp before lying lifeless on the ground. Solrent stepped back, blood dripping from his claws as the sound of approval echoed in the cave.
"My, my. Who knew my plan would actually work. Wait...I did, Haha!" Rubrum said triumphantly. "And now, with him out of the way, my slave, let us slowly take care of that nasty guild. With you as my mole, I will easily convert all the adventurers into my own personal army. Now, if you will follow me," Rubrum started to turn away from the two, and walked towards the lake within the cavern. Solrent gripped his spear and slowly turned away from his partner, giving off one last look at Rex's motionless body before following the footsteps of Rubrum.
"Now, my slave, first we...GAH!" Looking down at his own body, Rubrum saw something he never expected: The head of a spear piercing his body, his blood covering the tip. Coughing up blood and turning his head slowly to look behind him, he saw Solrent grin confidently, the body of the spear in Solrent's hand held firmly. "But...*cough*...how...? This is....impossible..."
"Hmph, you thought you could try to pull something like that completely on us. You truly underestimated both me and Rex, now didn't you Rubrum?"
"But...I swear...*cough*...I had you completely...under my control...you were...to obey my....every...command..."
Shaking his head, Solrent responded, "Well, I don't know much of what happened when we fought, but I do remember seeing everything you made me do towards the end. I saw what you made me do to Rex, and after countless screaming and yelling internally, I managed to break free."
"Still...that's impossible...my performance...my enthralling performance....is unbeatable.."
With shrugged shoulders, Solrent said, "Your overconfidence got the better of you. Though I agree that I did feel hopeless that my body acted on its own, with what you made me do to Rex's body, especially at the end there, I felt empowered to take my body back. And that command you made me to try and kill my partner, yeah...that was never going to happen. And....also...maybe a little bit of a phrase from my partner as we locked eyes at the end...that countercharm you tried so hard to prevent, that may have helped just a tiny bit." Solrent swiftly pulled back the spear from Rubrum's body, causing Rubrum to fall onto the ground on his knees, clutching his stomach.
Rubrum looked over at Rex's body, whose head lifted up a little and gave off a smile back. Rubrum saw Rex's hand slowly moved up and gave a thumbs up gesture momentarily before dropping back down. Rubrum continued to cough up blood, some still dropping down his body from the gaping fatal wound in his stomach. Rubrum looked up and saw Solrent towering over him, the spear pointed at his face. "Heh...you may have gotten the better of me...but know Solrent...I may no longer...be here in this world...but you will never escape me...*cough*...Your needs and wants...especially every time you look at your partner...I will always be in your thoughts...I will always be in your shadow....I will live in your heart....in your mind...in you..."
Shaking his head, Solrent stated, "Uh huh...Is this an evil guy speech to try and spook me. You know this shit will not work on us. Yeah, I agree that I may have some thoughts towards Rex that I would rather keep to myself right now, but I know better than to do anything to hurt my partner." Solrent shifted the spear 180 degrees, with now the blunt end of it facing Rubrum.
"Heh...you'll see...you'll see very...very...soon..."
"Yeah, whatever..." Solrent decided to finish this and, with all of his might, thrusted his spear right into Rubrum's head, causing Rubrum's body to finally collapse and lay still. What happened next was a bit of a surprise as Rubrum's body started to disintegrate on its own, like ashes blowing in the wind. His feet and tail disappeared first, followed by his legs, torso and arms. Eventually, his head started to disappear, but not before Rubrum gave off one last evil smile and glare at Solrent's face. All that was left of Rubrum was a shiny gemstone. Solrent picked it up and examined it, a bright red ruby filled with energy and life. The glow of the stone looked to be sinister at first, but after holding it in his grasp, that warm fuzzy feeling came back to him. Solrent quickly pocketed the gemstone into his pouch and walked over to Rex. He could still see Rex breathing, which gave him a little piece of mind. "Hey Rex...we did it...we managed to slay the guardian..."
Opening his eyes slightly, Rex smiled and said, "Good...I am glad...we did it...Sol....I knew...we could...do it..."
Eyeing him up and down, Solrent paid particular attention to Rex's crotch. "Umm..so that is what it looks like...bigger than I thought...So how do you want me to...carry you?
Rex stared intently back at Solrent and said with a monotone voice, "You fucker...is that all...you think about right now...?
"I mean...it's going to be a problem...I can like..take ca-..."
"Just...shut up...and take us back...nothing else...," Rex managed to say before he finally passed out.
Picking him up slowly, Solrent gently carried Rex and started heading out of the cave. Chuckling with a smile on his face, Solrent looked back at his partner once more and said, "Alright, alright, no need... to get so nasty... Save your energy...I'll be sure to protect you Rex...no matter what...But for now...let's head back to town...we deserve rest after that ordeal..."
Looking pleased, Solrent started his trek back to town, with Rex happily sleeping in his arms.
