#48 of Hypnosis

A little excursion into the realm of James Bond-style super-spies and dastardly villains. The Khan was a character I had dreamed up for a separate story that never quite made it to completion, so I repurposed him here.

Special agent Max Peters skulked down the hallway of the Khan's villainous lair. Not that lairs could be particularly villainous. They were just places. But it was the Khan's lair, and he was certainly villainous. The ermine checked around a corner, gun at the ready. No one was there. The lair, regardless of villainy, seemed abandoned.

But it couldn't be abandoned. Max's friend, Agent Chris Hammer, had disappeared here not a week ago, and his last report had described a lair full of the Khan's minions.

They had to be here. The Khan certainly had to be here. He was too conspicuous. He'd be noticed if he left, and there'd been no reports of him leaving the island.

The Khan, the towering lion who wore an eyepatch over an old scar. His one good eye had become an icon for all his businesses and clandestine operations. Even here in the otherwise white, blank, sterile hallways, the eye of the Khan was watching, emblazoned over doorways and serving as the sole decoration on otherwise bare walls.

The ermine shook himself. There had to be someone here, if only just a janitor. The hallways were conspicuously clean. Perhaps they were just cloaked... Somehow. Max needed to be extra careful. He dashed around the corner, only to find another empty hallway, another nondescript set of doors, and another icon of the Khan in the wall, watching him.

As the ermine moved past, he could have sworn the eye was moving to track him, like how certain paintings seem to follow you, but that was silly, wasn't it? Just a trick of the eye. He tried to ignore it and focused on a nearby door. In one smooth motion, he twisted the handle, pushed it open, and leveled his weapon, ready to fire. But it was empty. Just a stockroom. Identical to the last twelve rooms he had looked into. How in the blazes was this lair laid out? Was it all just empty stockrooms?

Max darted down the next hallway. Another series of doors. Another eye of the Khan.

This time the eye really did follow him. He was sure of it. Max stepped closer, investigating. Now that he stood still, it seemed immobile. It was made of some shiny metal, possibly chrome, but instead of showing the ermine a reflection, it seemed to bend and play with the light, swirling in a rainbow of colors. It was very pretty, and on another day, when there wasn't a mission at stake, Max would like to understand it better.

But the ermine continued deeper into the lair, slower this time. Each door opened onto an identical stockroom. Each hallway identical to the previous one. Each icon... yeah, those were the same too.

The next time Max passed by an eye of the Khan, he found himself stopping and looking into it again. There was that strange rainbow dancing across the surface, pulling his eye in towards the center, making him want to look into the eye as if it were a real eye, as if the Khan really were watching him.

Some part of his mind told him that would be bad, that the Khan was evil and he had a job to do, but the longer he stared, the less he cared. There was something being spoken to him, a whisper he hadn't noticed before. Instructions. It was very important to follow instructions. The ermine relaxed, and the gun fell from his hand with a clatter.

Max was found some hours later by a pair of minions. They were wearing identical blue jumpsuits with identical white plastic hard hats and identical visors with special polarizing lens to protect them from the hypnotic effects of the Khan's lair. They saw the agent and panicked for a moment. (They were only minions after all.) One of them, a little smarter, drew his stun gun and told the other to go check on the ermine.

The other minion, a horse, crept closer and leaned in to the motionless ermine. He listened and could just hear the agent repeating the same words over and over again. "The Khan sees all. The Khan knows all. The Khan controls all. The Khan is my Master." The horse flicked a thumbs-up behind him.

Carefully the smarter minion, a fox, approached, still with his stun gun raised. "He at level 2?"

"Oh yeah. I remember when I hit level 2."

"No, you don't."

"I don't?"

"Nah, they wipe your memory when you hit level 5."

"Oh, right," the horse minion said dully. "I remember that."

The fox minion rolled his eyes. Newbies. "Prep him for level 3," he ordered, kicking away the agent's gun, just in case.

The horse nodded and obeyed without thinking. He started to undress the agent, soon leaving the ermine naked. To both minions' delight, he was quite hard as well, his shaft throbbing in the air before him. That was a sure sign he was deep under the hypnotic power of the Khan. The horse knew the protocol. He dropped to one knee and wrapped a hand around the erection, starting to pump it. The ermine barely paused in his whispered mantra, not even a moan or a sigh escaped him as he stared ever deeper into the eye of the Khan. The horse sped up his stroking until the ermine splattered a load all over the wall. But beyond the twitching of his cock, there was no outward sign that he had even cum. No quickened breath, no change in the mantra, nothing.

"He's ready," the horse minion said, and then spoke directly to the agent. "Follow us."

The ermine turned without thinking, tearing himself away from the hypnotic eye for the first time in hours and moving into step behind the minions. The horse minion, who had once been Agent Chris Hammer, led the ermine, who would soon no longer be Agent Max Peters down to the conversion chambers deep in the heart of the Khan's lair.
