Part 2

Most of the staff had already been delivered to Silan Island, but some were still in transit to their new ‘home.’ Among them was the snow leopard anthromorph Cora, who even at that moment rested in a transit chamber in the back of the helicopter carrying her from a coastal conditioning facility to the island itself. She was awake, much like the others, and was supported in a bubbling liquid that had been manufactured to limit the intense strength that anthromorphs were created to have.
Not that it mattered to her. There was nowhere to go from the air, and while she might have made the swim back to the coast, she was still tagged as a servant-anthro, and that meant that she would be trackable until she ripped the chip out.
And if anyone knew I had a thought like that, I’d be taken right back to the facility for something far more serious…
The snow leopard woman chuckled, the bubbling of her own breath floating up to the top of the tank before fading away. She breathed in, the chemicals around her feeding her the oxygen that she needed to stay conscious while continuing to smother her strength. Here and there, she could feel a tingle as a current ran through the liquid, keeping her awake, stimulating her through her spinal cord and other ends of her nervous system.
She could feel them trying to send commands into her mind, more conditioning that was supposed to keep her docile and obedient. It never quite made it all the way to her brain, and only she, and a very lucky medical tech anthromorph, knew why. She had a missing neural chain just at the top of her brainstem, something that kept the conditioning signals from making it all the way to the part of her brain that would take the conditioning and make it settle in permanently. It meant that she’d never be quite as quick or as fierce as some of the combat models of anthromorphs, but it meant that she was more independent than most of them.
A Deviant, as a matter of fact, though if she had been called out as one, she would have done her best to suppress that label. The last thing that she needed was to be taken back and ‘corrected’, or possibly destroyed, depending on what her owner demanded.
She closed her eyes. Best to hold off on thinking much further until they reached the island. She knew that she had been chosen as an estate manager, something that she had been trained for, but that still meant that there would be a human over her. The only question was whether the human would be living on-site or just visiting. Considering that they were headed to an island, that meant that she was probably going to be given to manage an estate under an AI rather than a live-in human, but the situation was still fairly unknown.
You’re thinking too much. Close your eyes and pretend.
And so she kept them closed, letting the stinging electricity continue to race over her body. It wasn’t the best feeling in the world, but it was less uncomfortable than surgery, and that was what comforted her.
She dreamed what she always dreamed of in these ‘stasis’ pods: sex. Cora relaxed into mental images of various positions, of being on her back, of being on all fours, of holding someone under her foot and then making them do what she wanted. Domination, a forbidden pleasure for most anthromorphs, was one that she imagined regularly.
And for now, it was certainly a more entertaining mental image than whatever might be waiting for her at the other end of the journey.
#
She woke to a thump, realizing that she’d fallen asleep to the sexual images in her head. The comfort that they had provided was more intense than she’d realized. She opened her eyes as the smothering fluid around her was drained away, followed by the soft ‘snikt’ of the lock on the side of the tube coming undone. The front panel opened, allowing her to step out.
Holding chamber, hmm? she thought as she took her first step, bare foot pressing down on a slotted grate. It pressed up against the pads on the bottom of her feet, not quite painful, but definitely pushing uncomfortable buttons. She shifted from side to side, pulling at her hair and wringing out the long, silver-gray lengths with her hands.
The room was silent at first, and she heard similar thump-whoosh sounds from either side. The helicopter was depositing the other anthromorphs it was delivering to the estate, and they were all being released to their individual chambers. A glance around the small, circular room confirmed that there was a locker next to the door out, probably containing the outfit that they were to wear while they served on the island.
Not the worst start to a life of servitude. She’d heard worse stories from those that had come back to the factory for reconditioning after a finished assignment.
The chrome walls suddenly flickered, forming the image of a face. It was an elder man, mustached and stern-looking. She remembered the conditioning from before, the face of her purchaser. He had a name, Martin. Martin Bronson, she remembered. Cora hadn’t liked the sight of him when he visited the factory, but there was something different to him now. He looked younger, slightly more full-faced than he had before.
Then she realized. This wasn’t him, or a recording of him. This was AI present in his image. The face confirmed it with a voice that had the faint notes of an autotune to get rid of the irregular speech patterns of someone going from text to speech.
“Welcome to Silan Island, Anthromorph. State your name for the record.”
“Cora.”
“Specialization.”
“Estate manager.”
“Calibrating.”
Soft flashes and clicks meant cameras, and she knew that they were taking pictures of her naked body from all sides. She shifted her footing, standing with her feet shoulder-width apart, allowing the recording software to take her identifying photos…and probably more, considering the way that the AIs operated for the good of their more perverted owners.
The snow leopard stood at a reasonable height for a female. Five-foot-eight, though if she stood on her tiptoes, she would have loomed over six feet with her better than average balance. She had been constructed with an obvious lean towards the sexy secretary look, Cora knew; her breasts were large, large enough that the muscles in her back and shoulders had been specifically enlarged to compensate for the drag that they gave. Her curves swung in around the stomach, keeping her thin there, only to flare out again for her hips. While she had not been made with the intensely sexualized focus that the sex-model anthromorphs had been, she had been inspired by those that enjoyed them.
The photography ended shortly after it had begun, with a few final shots occurring just under her feet. She doubted that they were taking photos of her soles, but rather of her holes. She didn’t even shake her head. A non-Deviant would barely notice what was happening to them, accepting it as their due as an anthromorph in the human society. Instead, she kept her eyes focused on the AI’s face.
“Processed. Cora: Estate Manager. Entered. Welcome to Silan Island. You will find your uniform in the chest by the door. Are there any questions about your duties?” the AI asked.
“How many bios am I responsible for?” she asked.
“There are approximately thirty anthromorphs on the island. The human owner you are responsible to will arrive in one hour.”
“Who is the human?”
“Derek Bronson.”
“Relations to Martin Bronson?”
“Nephew.”
So, she had been purchased to manage something for a non-heir of the human that bought her. That meant that he was probably on the outs with the family, or that he had been given something to do that was supposed to stay secret from the assholes on the mainland. She imagined that it was more the former; the rich heirs would be allowed to have hidden hideouts, while this was probably meant more as a place to keep the troublemakers out of sight for a while.
Wonder what he did.
She doubted that it was anything worth considering. The rich ones were always doing something that the poor could not. This one had probably just gotten some other woman pregnant ahead of schedule or something else embarrassing like that. It was best not to imagine that it was something useful.
“Any further questions?”
“Is there a PA assigned?”
“Yes. Identification: Alexa, rabbit.”
If it was the same Alexa that she was thinking of, that meant that she had a friend on the island. They had come from similarly-timed batches back at the factory, and the rabbit was one of the few that knew that she was a little…off. Alexa didn’t know that she was a Deviant, as her own conditioning would have forced a confession if that was the case, but she knew enough to know that it was possible, and the rabbit had made it clear that she didn’t want confirmation if it was the case. Thus, they had managed to avoid exposing her weakness.
If she was here, that meant that she had someone that would make this job more entertaining, at the very least. If not more palatable.
She shook her head. Again, she was getting negative. Best not to take that too far and expose herself.
“Any further questions?”
“Do I report to you or Derek Bronson?”
“Both. Priority one is to me, priority one-point-five to Derek Bronson.”
Which meant that the AI was a watcher program as well as an administrative one. Wonderful. She nodded her understanding, however; at least she was forewarned about not showing her Deviant status in public, or around any cameras or sensors. She was going to need to find where they all were and start mapping them out if she wanted any time to be herself.
There were no further questions after that, and the AI’s face shimmered away, giving her space to get dressed. She walked over to the chest, pushing it open.
Inside was a simple belt and collar. Turning them to the side, she could make out emitters that ran out of the bands, which meant a clothing that was based off of nanites. Simple enough, if a little bit problematic if the rain ever started. Shrugging, she wrapped the wire bands around her middle, then around her neck. The feeling was just short of choking with the latter, but she ignored it to the best of her ability.
“Activate,” she muttered.
The bands beeped, then did as they were told. A feeling not dissimilar to a wave of insects crawling through her fur spread across her mid-riff and down along her crotch, as well as along the bottom of her neck toward her breasts and along her back. She braced herself against it, as the sensation was one that she had never entirely gotten used to.
Nobody spent money on anthromorphs unless they wanted a very specific look. It was considered a waste, considering their fur liked to go everywhere under most cloth styles. Some were kept naked for that reason, but most of the rich humans that bought anthromorphs ended up using nanites. Clothing could be generated out of a rubberized material that way, and it kept them more exposed than not. Plus, it could be reused and spread out again, keeping them from looking scruffy.
The feeling spread up to her breasts, feeling vaguely sensual for a moment before it just covered them. She looked down, half-hoping to see something of an opening for her breasts – a boob window, according to some human advertisements – and sighed when there was no such thing. She could feel the tightness of the garment, yes, and it showed her off as if she was naked, but that didn’t mean that it felt good around her chest in the same way.
The rubber nanites spread between her legs, drawing the material along her sex. It went in slightly, showing off the details down there, and she knew that walking along would show off her nethers in a way that she had never quite done at the factory. Somehow, she was more naked down there than she had been without the suit, and that was a little more interesting to her.
Feeling it parting her cheeks slightly to get down to her pucker, however, was a little less pleasant. She had never entirely enjoyed that in the same way, and she gritted her teeth as she felt like something was sliding, sliming, rubbing over her other hole. It ended quickly, at least, but there was still that slight feeling of near-penetration that she had to deal with. She shook it off as fast as she could.
The rubber went all the way down to her ankles, wrists, and up to the collar around her neck. The only exposed parts – well, truly exposed, rather than just shown off from the painted-on ‘clothes’ – were her hands, feet, tail, and head. Her hair ran down her back, allowing for a shimmering waterfall of silver all the way down to her tail, and she fluffed it out just to remind herself that it was still free.
Being barefoot was nicer, too. She shifted from foot to foot on the grates in the room, waiting for the door to open, curious what the island was like. She hadn’t seen it from the air, and she was eager to get a better handle on what the island looked like before she started planning how it would be run.
Five seconds after she started getting impatient, the door opened. Tropical sunlight poured through the opening, and she groaned.
The climate control better work on this thing…
#
She spent forty-five minutes of her human-free hour walking and jogging along the island. Despite the climate control the suit offered, the clingy material left her somewhat damp inside, and she kept waiting for the moisture to short out the cheap-feeling collar and belt. So far, it hadn’t, but with her luck, she was expecting it to fail the minute the human first saw her.
Still, the jog had done her some good. Not only had she managed to burn off some of the excess energy that came from being under smothering transportation chemicals, but she felt like she understood the island better. It was roughly oval, though one side was about 50% thicker than the other, so it was more like a pair of gears connected by a widening belt. The overall land size was probably between four to five square miles, with the airfield and resort taking up most of that. A jungle, set of springs, and a few other ‘natural’ bits of wonder and comfort took up the rest of the island’s land.
Resort, of course, was not quite the right word for the living quarters of the island. She had seen it, and it was more of a large estate, meant for a family rather than a bunch of tourists. There would be space for anthromorphs in the big house, but she imagined that only she and Alexa would have the rights to stay there. Most human masters only had their required anthromorph servants staying in the same house as them, while the rest were kept in the outbuildings. Some were different, but they were rare. All the humans that she had experienced had only allowed her equality and more in the bedroom, and as soon as they were done, had gone back to preferring her to know her place.
Cora had every reason to avoid that. She had gotten used to some comfort, and she didn’t want to give it up.
With less than fifteen minutes remaining until the human was due to arrive, she made her way back to the airfield. The runway was the dominant feature there, with a single hangar at the far end that had room for a small plane and perhaps a helicopter. The one that had dropped her off was still refueling, being checked over. It was a thing to remember, that; despite the high tech that she had noticed in the construction of the estate, she knew that this place was far from completely self-sufficient as it stood, and she imagined that there would be regular shipments in from the mainland.
One might have thought that she was planning an escape with all those thoughts. In truth, she wasn’t. Cora had already learned, once, that escaping from humans was not only difficult, but not always to one’s advantage. It brought deprivation as well as difficulty, and there were many ways where an anthromorph was not at liberty when they were not attached to a human’s hip. Too many rights were lost by their status as owned people, and that meant that it was not always good to be rendered ‘free.’
She joined the other anthromorphs in the small crowd that had lined up at the end of the runway. They all had a mental clock of sorts, counting down to the arrival time of their new owner. They shared a few looks, curiosity being the limitation of expressed emotion for most of them. Cora spotted Alexa at the far end of the line, and she walked down to join one anthromorph that she actually knew. The bubbly female smiled, bowing her head.
“Good to see that we both got the same owner,” the rabbit said, turning back to the runway. “Excited?”
“Curious, more than anything.”
“You’re never that interested in something you can’t control.”
“Careful what you say, Alexa.”
“I know, I know. But I already checked; no listening devices out here.”
“Cameras?”
“A couple on the tower, but they’re old. Not able to zoom in much.”
Then no lip-reading was happening. That was good, and worth knowing. She could at least speak her mind on the tarmac.
“So, PA, huh?” she asked.
“Indeed. Nanny, too, but I don’t think we’re getting any kids out here.”
“Doubtful. From what I heard, it’s the owner’s nephew.”
“Oh, bother. Bought and given away? That’s appreciation for you.”
“I’d see it more as an opportunity.”
“You would.”
“Let me take charge?”
“Always, dear.”
The plane appeared at the edge of vision at that point, and the two of them went silent, Cora more for the fact that she was half-sure that the plane had better sensors than the cameras on the airfield. She didn’t want anything suspicious picked up by the pilots as they came in.
As the plane hit ground and slowly rolled to a stop, she braced herself. She didn’t know what the new owner was going to look like, nor what he’d act like. She expected someone that was probably going to be a little on the young side, someone that had been spoiled rotten. It was probably going to be a chore to work for them, all things considered, but she was going to have to make it work to avoid being sent back.
The plane door opened, and her expectations…shifted. They weren’t completely changed, as a look could mean anything, but they shifted.
This Derek Bronson was taller than she expected, and despite being a nephew of a wealthy man rather than a direct heir, it was clear that he had benefited from the genemods that the wealthy generally used. He was a head and more taller than she was, and he had the thickness in his shoulders that was only available via genemods these days – the traits of easy muscle and naturally strong builds had started being weeded out of the poor these days – and she could see that he had the same rich clothes as his family did.
That said, there were other things. He looked out at her and the rest of the anthromorphs with curiosity, and – oh, there was something else. A hint of a blush on his cheeks, perhaps? Her keen eyes picked up the red before he looked away. Not far, still making it look like he was watching them, but she could tell that his eyes were glancing just over her head rather than at her direction.
She was used to that sort of stare. That was the exact look that the scientists and factory workers that had taught her about sex had had on their faces when they first saw her, before they realized that she was willing to let them take liberties with her body.
…Well, now. That makes things more interesting…
Of course, there was the chance that he was like the supervisor that had decided to do more than take liberties with her. There had been that one that had been insistent on getting her to serve him properly rather than just allowing her to get some pleasure from him, but that didn’t seem to be the case here. That sort of man wouldn’t look at her and then look away. He would have stared a little more fulsomely, and that meant that this one might be better suited to being on the bottom.
Can I make use of that? she wondered.
If the answer was yes, then this particular assignment had just gotten far more lucrative. She could make things far more enjoyable for every other anthromorph here, and considering they were all female…
Yes, this was going to be a much more interesting assignment, indeed.
Derek crossed the tarmac to reach them, leaving the pilots to take the plane to the hangar. He offered his hand to her, meeting her eyes and very obviously not looking any further down than that.
“You must be Cora?” he said, the slightest hint of a question in his voice making it clear that he didn’t want to assume. She smiled and took his hand.
“That’s correct, sir.”
“Good to meet you. I’d like to have a meeting with you as soon as this is done, yes?”
“As estate manager, I agree.”
“Wonderful.”
He walked down the line, and she was only slightly surprised to see that he guessed all their names accurately. She imagined that he had been buffing up on the different people that he’d need to know while staying on the island, and what they were bound to do. She watched him, cocking her head to the side, studying what he seemed to like and what he seemed to move past quicker, and what he had to do to show more politeness when he wasn’t so keen.
To her greater surprise, he seemed to display actual interest in all of them. No favorites played just yet, but she imagined that would be shown over time. No human could really be equal with their treatment of others. It was an illusion that always failed.
But it didn’t matter. So long as she could show him where he belonged, as she had done with some of the scientists back at the factory, then it was all going to pay off in the end.
She waited, arms crossed behind her back, until he was done going through all the other females. His eyes regularly went for their breasts, and she knew that he was a bit of a breast-man. No worries there; she could find a way to show off her own more regularly, and if that meant developing a ‘malfunction’ with her suit, that was something that she could work with. She had worked naked before around the factory, and she could do that again.
But it was when he started looking down, down, down at the bare soles of the various anthromorphs that she knew that she’d have a very, very good time.
So, you are that low, hmm?
She had studied humans as part of her duties, part of her training. She knew what their wants and needs were. Part of estate management was sorting out those anthromorphs that needed to be used by the estate master, keeping track of the duties that needed to be covered while they were being ‘enjoyed’ by the human, and ensuring that it didn’t affect the overall productivity of the estate. The difference was, she had been trained both practically and theoretically, and that meant that she knew what the different uses of the body did to the anthromorph in question…and what kind of humans liked different things.
Those humans that ended up staring at feet more often than at other parts tended to be on the submissive end of the spectrum. She had been ‘trained’ by several humans that were all too eager to end up under her feet, and while she hadn’t been programmed or built with a foot fetish, they’d given her one. She imagined that Derek would look better than any of the others under her feet. She hadn’t had a rich man down there before.
Once the meet and greet was done, Derek turned to her. She bowed her head in an imitation of respect for the cameras.
“If I may escort you to the estate, Master Derek?”
“Um, yes. Please.”
She started to turn, only to stop as he pointed at the hangar. Cora arched her eyebrow.
“Yes, Master Derek?”
“We have cars, right?”
“Yes, but it never hurts to stretch our legs. But if you insist…”
She waited, curious which he’d choose. A picky, bratty, or problematic human would force his decision about the car, particularly if he needed to keep hold of his authority. Someone that was a bit more of a pushover, or wanted to prove himself, however…
He eventually nodded, and she smiled, waving for him to follow. His eyes were all over her as she turned, and while she didn’t have the predilection of some of the other anthromorphs for showing off, she did take her time in the motion. She made sure that he had a chance to see her from the side as well as from behind, and then set off at a jog. He almost called out after her, but then just followed. She wondered how long he would be able to keep up.
#
To his credit, he managed to keep jogging for half the journey, which was certainly better than she expected. Whether that was down to his genemods or something else, she wasn’t sure, but it meant that he had something more to him than one might have immediately thought, given his background. She slowed for the rest of the trip, keeping pace with him.
The estate itself was definitely something more like a vacation home than anything bigger. It stood two stories tall, with a balcony and half of a third story climbing out of the roof. The grounds themselves were littered with gardens and smaller out-buildings, places where the servants would stay. Or in this case, where the other anthromorphs would stay if Derek preferred to keep the house to himself.
That didn’t mean that it was completely security-free, however. Several of the plants were only somewhat realistic, and she could see the camera lenses that poked out of the trees and ran through the different vines that weren’t meant for plucking or fruit production. The entire place was wired for the AI and whoever else the AI reported to. Certainly not the place for someone trustworthy.
As they walked through the gardens to the main house, Derek tapped her on the shoulder. She turned.
“Yes, Master Derek?”
“Do you always run around like that?” he asked. “The anthromorphs back home always stayed just behind me, instead of pushing me like that.”
“You aren’t at home now, Master Derek. I imagine that you will be learning many new things.”
“Are you all that pushy?”
“Are you that easy to push?”
“…”
He didn’t answer that, and she wondered if she had asked a question that he’d never asked himself. Regardless, they kept moving.
The interior of the estate house was still fairly bare. She imagined that the different machines and appliances were still being assembled by the AI, put together for the proper layout for Derek Bronson. She shook her head as they walked through the open-plan lower floor, making their way to the stairs.
“The AI will be putting this together by tomorrow, I imagine, Master Derek,” she said as she walked up the stairs. She wanted to look back to see if he was staring like the others had, but that would be too obvious. “You will find the bedrooms on the upper floor, and –”
“Do you mind me asking personal questions?” he interrupted.
“Hmm?”
“I had a couple of questions, not about the house.”
“About me, then, Master Derek?”
“Yes.”
“I am a manager; you are the owner. I suppose you should ask,” she said. The AI was probably paying attention at that point, too, so it was better to keep her obedience on record. “Ask away.”
“You’ve been barefoot all day, but you’re not leaving tracks. Why?”
“Unless a client specifies that we’re to be made to retain filth, we do not. It slides right off.”
“So, you’ll always be…”
“Bare…barefoot, yes,” she said, allowing the slight tease to linger in the air. The stirring air inside the house made it difficult to tell if he was taking the bait, but she was fairly sure he was staring as she slowed her steps, maybe focusing on her soles more than before.
“I…see.”
“I’m sure you do, Master Derek. Do you happen to have any other questions?”
“Yes, actually. Have you looked through this house already?”
“A cursory inspection, yes.”
“Were there any rooms that you’d recommend for me?”
“It depends on what you’re looking for, Master Derek.”
“I was thinking something that would not be interrupted. I’m hearing this humming sound that just won’t go away.”
“Perhaps the room furthest from the generator, then, Master Derek.”
“Show me?”
It was on the third floor, of course, which meant that she had time to sway and tease all the way up. The feeling of a human’s eyes on her swaying hips, knowing that she was getting his attention with every step, was invigorating for her. After her initial induction into the world of sex with the various perverted humans that had been part of her creation and education, she had been all but starved of that attention. She might have even been willing to be a little more submissive with the right male, but…
Well, she wanted to see how far she could push things. The snow leopard had been made to dominate other people. It was meant to be only other anthromorphs, to manage the estate and keep the minutia out of the eyes and minds of humans, but that had been expanded. Perhaps due to her Deviant state, perhaps due to all the psychological conditioning that had come from being allowed to dominate her makers after she found out what she liked, but whatever the reason was, she did not like being on the bottom any longer.
They reached the half-floor at the top of the house. It was a half-floor because it mostly consisted of a loft combined with a sunroom, with little else to really call it a full floor, but it wasn’t part of the second floor, so it was something different. She held the door open, and Derek stepped inside. She didn’t miss the bulge in his pants, either, and she smirked slightly to herself. Definitely an easier mark than some of her previous conquests.
He looked around the room briefly, and as he did, she spotted the bulge of an implant at the back of his head. Probably something put in when he was younger, something that was part of the Bronson family control. It was well-disguised by his hair, but there was just that hint of extra space back there that she had learned to recognize.
Better make sure that the AI can’t hop into that, too…
He looked around one more time before turning to look at her again. While still blushing, he cleared his throat almost as if he had come to a business meeting rather than to an empty room.
“Alright. I don’t think we can be overheard here.”
“…Excuse me?” she asked, blinking.
“The AI’s still installing itself throughout the island, right? There’s no bugs up here, not yet.”
“You can tell?”
He tapped the back of his head, and she slapped her forehead.
“You can use the implant to check access points. Even if it says access denied –”
“It’s still an access point. And there’s no access points up here.”
“You’re not just a pervert. I’m impressed.”
“…And you’re not just a normal anthromorph, are you?” he asked.
“…”
“You’re a Deviant, aren’t you?”
…Well, you blew that one, didn’t you? Cora thought to herself. Well…there are ways of keeping him quiet.
“Aren’t you?” Derek asked again.
“The thing about Deviants, Derek,” she said, dropping the ‘master’ now that it was no longer needed. “The thing about us is that we can do things that other anthromorphs can’t. And from the way that you were staring at me…I think I know exactly what you need…”
Hopefully, he could be as distracted as any other human was with sex. If so, then she had a chance to plead her case. If not…well, she’d better hope that she’d found the one human who had a heart.
