Primate Transformation

James yawned, leaning back in bed, the TV set up on the wall above his dresser in his small bedroom. Maybe it would not have been so small if it had not had a double bed crammed into it, but it was the best he had at that time, which was not all that bad. He didn’t mind so much, not really, but it was good to watch Jumanji again, even though he had already seen The Next Level several times. It was the sort of movie that, to him, never got old, though his eyelids grew heavier and heavier.
“Mmm…”
His brown hair rustled against the pillow as he sank back, a hint of stubble around his jaw, though he could not hold onto the waking world for so long. It was just a night, a perfectly normal night, though James was not to know that things would change as soon as he fully closed his eyes, slipping into a light slumber.
And then deeper, the movie still playing in the background, primates screeching, the movie going on without him.
Only, it wouldn’t.
*
He woke with a start. Something was wrong, something was weird, a roughly hewn stone block in front of him that looked like it had been weathered by time. That wasn’t his – that wasn’t his room! But all that came out of his mouth was a grunt, though even that didn’t sound like him, didn’t sound like a noise that should have come from his lips.
What had happened? He knew something was wrong, very wrong, though he still…hm. He still had arms and legs, yes, he could feel them, could wiggle both his fingers and his toes. That, at least, was reassuring, yet his arms had never been that hairy and he most certainly had not gone to sleep out in what seemed to be a jungle!
But he had to try to stand, wobbly on his feet, though his heart sank. James had never been one to swear, but he would have done so at that moment if anything more than a grunt and a groan, a bellow, nothing human, could rise from his lips. For it was not him, not as he grabbed at himself, staggering to the side, rustling through the undergrowth, huge leaves slapping him in the face.
For he could not deny that he had become something else in his sleep, some kind of primate… He wracked his brain, brown fur covering his arms, struck through with grey. Was it like what he had been watching the night before? He explored himself, feeling his face, his muzzle, the skin there, though he couldn’t see anything in which to cast his reflection, which would prove to be a problem. He didn’t seem quite like a baboon or with the longer muzzle of a mandrill either, but somewhere between them both – perhaps a hybrid?
James scowled, twisting lips that were unfamiliar to him and swung his head back and forth. It was wrong, all wrong! He had to be having a nightmare, yes, that was what it had to be, though he didn’t want to think too deeply about it, if it was. Yes, if it was that, surely he would go to sleep again and wake up in the morning, laughing about it all.
But it was not a dream, even if James would not accept it, standing tall as a mandrill-baboon hybrid, his fingers and toes dextrous, curling into the loamy soil. Birds called in the canopy above and he swung his head to the side, listening intently. Everything seemed heightened in his new form, even though he was still roughly the size of a man, everything about the same in that regard, tipped forward so that he could walk on all fours, kind of. His body was designed for both, able to stand on two legs, even though the round of his upper spine would still beg him to tip forward.
Yet he was not normal, he knew that much, slamming his fists into the ground, howling, bellowing, strength coursing through him. He was huge, strong, powerful, an apex predator and not just any primate, but that didn’t mean a damn thing to him! Yes, he could see better, smell better, hear better – but what did any of it mean when he was stuck as an animal, his human mind trapped inside?
He had to work out where he was, he told himself, trying to bring his shaky disbelief into some kind of order. If he could find food, shelter… Maybe from there, he would be able to make his way through the jungle. Or at least get through whatever the kind hell of dream it was so that he could wake up again.
He stalked forward, his body and form oozing confidence even if his mind did not. He didn’t know where he was, what he was even, how he had gotten there, reeling from it all. It was all James could do to put one foot and hand in front of the other, just to keep going, brushing his way through thick vegetation, jumping from bugs the size of his hand.
Did he call it a hand if he was a primate? He didn’t know, but, frankly, with no other humans there that were like him, he couldn’t care less.
Making his way up a small incline, he came upon a temple, the path under his feet roughly worn, dirty and dusty, as if it had been trodden many times. It was more of an animal track than anything else, though he didn’t mind that, as long as it was wide enough for him to make his way up comfortably.
He stilled suddenly, baring his teeth. There were other primates there, amongst the old grandeur of the temple deep in the jungle, draped in vines! Just mandrills…no. There were baboons too, mixed with the mandrills, though he only knew that from what he had watched the night before.
They backed away from him, the display of anger and aggression, fearing for their safety. He could see it in the tucked-down tails, how they hunkered down, made themselves look smaller and less significant, hiding from him. James stilled, bewildered. Were they like him – trapped humans? But they were so much smaller than him, he couldn’t really see that happening… They walked around the temple, outside and inside, perched on stone statues, as if it was their home, yet he felt immediately settled there, as if a weighted blanket had been placed over his shoulders, giving him security that he had not known he’d needed.
They eyed him carefully, though them being smaller than him made them give him some breathing room, which was helpful, James scrabbling to gather his thoughts. But that was much easier said than done when his whole world was spinning madly, irrevocably out of control.
He didn’t want to accept it, his heart pounding, sickness churning in his stomach, suddenly dizzy. He didn’t want to think that he was going to be stuck like that, stuck with animals, stuck with creatures that…
Maybe they could understand him? They watched him carefully from a distance, no one wanting to get too close. Yet James had to try, had to somehow make them see that he was not like them, that he needed their help.
“Help me!” He bellowed, though only animalistic grunts and growls came out, the sounds that a primate would make. “You have to help me – I’m not meant to be here! I’m not like you!”
He grunted, trying to talk, but, of course, no words came out of his mouth. As much as he tried to explain to them that he was human, not a primate, not a hybrid mandrill-baboon, they only chattered and bellowed, grunting as they backed away from him.
“Why won’t any of you listen to me?” He snarled, slamming a fist into the ground. “You could help me! You could tell me what I’m doing here – but you won’t! I’m not an animal like you!”
But they didn’t see him as that, even though there was a shine of intelligence in their eyes. They walked around him, sniffing carefully, checking his body language, even if that didn’t match up entirely with what they would expect of a friendly primate, one that wasn’t going to attack them. They, of course, had every right to be wary when he was as large as he was, able to hurt them, throw them out of their home – and every primate knew when to bow to the more powerful creature, of course. They were sensible about that, choosing to flee when fighting, most clearly, was not an option.
But they did not know that, honestly, he did not intend to hurt them. Stalking into the temple, he made a path through them, a little part of James feeling relieved and glad that they backed away. It was good to be in charge, at least, to not have to fear attack. He was not such a fool as to think that things could not have gone very badly if they had all turned on him, as a pack or whatever the hell they were called as a group, and attacked him.
As the largest, however, he had an advantage and James concentrated on how his strong body felt, how his muscles moved with every step, every stride. They coiled and bunched under his bristly fur, though even that fur was softer when he touched it. Sitting by the entrance to the temple, he commanded a space for himself, finally taking the time to explore his body.
Perhaps a little too much, though he was lost to the world and the life that he had known and James did not know how much further to go, where or what he even was anymore. He wiggled his tail, trying to work out how the muscles worked to move it. That was longer, like the tail of a baboon, though James strangely felt a sense of pride in it. It was his, a part of him, something that he could use to his advantage.
Exploring his hands, he opened up his fingers from his palms, oddly human-like, though they were haired on the back. He ran his hands over his body, pressing down on the muscles of his chest, begrudgingly marvelling at the fact that there was not an ounce of spare fat on him, a primate in the prime of physical fitness and his life. That was impressive, more so than he had considered before, but James did not linger there.
He glanced up at the other primates, but they didn’t seem interested in him, going about their daily lives, some grooming the others, though he couldn’t shake that intelligence he had seen in them. Something about the way that they walked too, holding themselves just a little bit higher, as if there was awareness about them. But that was something that he’d have to think about later as more pressing matters demanded attention.
What had happened to his cock? He grunted, prodding at a weird, fleshy thing under his belly, close to his back legs, that had grown, his balls obviously behind them, though all were furred, right up to his nuts, which betrayed the colour of his skin beneath. His balls were huge, black and leathery, though he felt a little weird running his fingers over them, regardless of how smooth the skin was. They were so fat that they would have dwarfed his old balls as a human, though he would have given them up to be back as he was.
James grunted thickly, a groan rising from the back of his throat. He didn’t feel naked and yet there he was, his nuts naked and hairless, the fur covering that…was it a sheath? He prodded at it, pushing it back and forth, a little wave of pleasure pulling at him. When it felt good, he rubbed it, squeezing it lightly between his fingers and pulling towards the tip, rubbing around it, running his fingers over his belly and through his fur over and over again.
James groaned, shaking his head. It felt good, too good – yet there was his cock! Ah! That was a relief to see that it had not disappeared entirely, coaxing it out, though he was pleased to see that the other primates did not pay him any mind. Maybe it was normal for them, though with him being in the powerful position that he was, James wasn’t all that sure if he cared what any of them thought of him.
His body ached with a need that he knew well as a man, yet it was more primal, bringing a tight groan to his throat, body shuddered as his red member emerged. It slid out into his hand, pulse after pulse, the mandrill-baboon grunting at just how it throbbed and pulsed. That was not particularly unusual, though he could not remember a time that he had been able to see his own cock visibly pulsing like that, an impressive length. Of course, it was much larger than his old cock, almost slick as if it had come pre-lubricated, though that turned out to be just a trick of the light reflecting off the smooth, red skin. The tip had a slight taper to it, no defined head or glands that he could see, hand moving up and down fervently, squeezing.
Instinct gripped him. Fuck, even his sense of touch seemed heightened! It did not seem important to consider how that could be, not then, only pressing on, greedily letting the good feeling carry him away. Maybe it was all he had left in that world, letting sensation take him, pumping his cock up and down.
Even his balls needed stimulation too, his breath catching, juddering in his powerful, wide chest, everything about him radiating that strength. It had never been like that as a human and he sighed, head tipping back slightly, lips parted. Sometime during his self-pleasure, masturbating greedily, openly, he had closed his eyes, but that only allowed him to sink into sensation even more, marvelling at how his fingers couldn’t even close properly around his huge cock.
Maybe his shock and his refusal to accept what had happened to him were both misplaced, he thought, though the notion did not linger for long. Better to think like a primate, to be one, to let sensation power through him, throb and pulse after pulse, aching deeply. It was intoxicating, addictive, licking his lips, groaning lightly at the pulsating, driving pleasure that had his tail flicking lightly, muscles tensing and pushing.
He was stronger like that, he was better… Slowly, thoughts of humanity slipped from his mind, rendering him more like an intelligent mandrill-baboon, a primate that had always been born and made like that. Of course, his humanity was still there, in the back of his mind, but in a new world and a life like that, he didn’t need to press on into it too much.
No… No, that was not needed, not as he bellowed and screamed out his orgasm, climax rushing upon him suddenly, as if he was a beast charging through the undergrowth to snatch up his hapless prey. Yet, that time, it was his orgasm snatching him up, ropes of thick cum spurting from his cock in powerful swathes, pump after pump of viscous virility leaving him. His balls ached and churned, wobbling as he spent himself, grunting and rocking his hips as if he was fucking a partner. He might have been ashamed if he was still James, just James, but no thoughts of embarrassment were in the hybrid’s mind. Maybe a little disbelief, but that was quickly turning to wonder.
Wonder at his power, his strength. Wonder at his ability, his pride. Wonder at how easily he moved, the fluidity of him. And wonder too at the sheer volume of thick cum that poured from him and his heavy balls, soaking into the ground.
Yet not even an orgasm as great as that could last forever as he grunted and scraped back with his feet, huffing and puffing, panting for breath. Without realising it, he had cut into the stone that he was sitting on, leaving terrifyingly deep gouges in the rock.
“Holy hell…”
He grunted out the words, though he guessed that there was a shiver of words behind the grunt. Or maybe that was his head still spinning. It was hard to tell anymore, not as his cock throbbed, slowly retreating into his sheath.
Swallowing hard, James shook his head. That was…something else. Something bigger. He couldn’t have done that before and not for that long. He’d never had such a powerful orgasm before! Yet no one else around him seemed to think that it was strange at all, the other primates barely giving him a second look, going about their business as if he was not there at all.
It must be normal to them, he thought, the only way that James could actually use his voice. That’s strange…
_ _
He couldn’t imagine doing what he had just done as a man, after all, not out in public. And yet something had pushed him to do it, even if he had just, technically, been looking over his own body to start with, a body that was his own and not at the same time. James shook his head, rocking back onto all fours again as he paced inside the temple, a little wobbly, but that was just because he was still getting to grips with his long, lean stride, how the roll of it seemed to eat up the ground under him.
The temple was glorious, in a way, but dilapidated, in another way. It had not been cared for by any hands that wanted to maintain its prime, gold dulled, jewels faded, though statues towered.
Mandrills, baboons, other great apes… He shook his head, troubled. It was not where he was supposed to be, not his home, though he had to stay there, had to keep going. Though James didn’t even know where he was going.
He paused before a copper mirror, barely even wanting to look anymore. It felt like too great a task, but James sat there regardless, sinking back onto his haunches. The room was filled to the brim with treasure, but the gold had faded with age, coins scattered, smaller statues littering the room, treasure chests spilling jewels. Nothing that couldn’t be polished in no time at all, though what use did a primate have of that.
But it was in the copper mirror that James saw himself as he was as a primate for the first time since his undue transformation. And he reeled, starting back, tail shooting up in shock, his lower jaw slack, though his powerful body, acting on instinct alone, his tail reflecting in the mirror too.
It was not that his tail was as long and as thick as a human arm that made him start… It was his whole body. It was a tail that helped him balance, but the strong, powerful body coiled with tight muscle, the primate cautiously turning from the left to the right and then around in a circle, watching as his hands and feet bent to place the soles down smoothly on the ground. It didn’t seem that he should have had that level of dexterity in his fingers or toes, both pretty much interchangeable, but it was there, regardless.
Visually, he half stood on his back legs, running his fingers through his soft fur, getting to see just how the shades changed a little down his belly, his back a darker brown. His face had a mandrill’s blue and red colouring, striking and classic, with a baboon’s shape, a little softer and more delicate. Of course, it would have been eased if not for the fangs in his mouth, sharper than any primate should have had, but that was only reminiscent of the beasts that had been running around that Jumanji movie too.
He examined himself again, as if feeling it for the first time, stretching out his arms, watching how the muscles moved beneath his fur, the tips of his sharp claws running through, careful not to dig into his fur too hard down to the skin. Yet, as his eyes adjusted to the light, getting used to the lighting in which he saw best in (dim was not best, but pure darkness appeared to be much easier, having good night vision), he noticed that the brown was actually more of a metallic black shade, something that changed colour in the light. It just wasn’t as easy to see in a copper mirror as he’d wanted, but that was all that the primate had to work with.
It would have to do. Even as he looked at how his tail swung back and forth, curling lightly, inspecting himself. It was more flexible than he had thought and James wondered if he could grip things with it too – it was something well worth looking into.
Yet what he saw there, more than any man, was the form of a beast, even if his human mind was still in there, a great, powerful primate who could rip apart a foe as quickly as they liked. He stared at himself, arching his back, rounded it, feeling out every muscle, pulling his fingers and toes apart, getting a feel for himself. It would only make him stronger and more secure in his body, better able to move, all gaining a better sense of where all the new parts of him were while looking in the mirror.
The power.
The strength.
The energy.
He growled, eyes wide, staring, the rough fur framing his masculine, dominant face standing out in the copper mirror. Shaking slightly, his head shook from side to side, the primate finally forced to acknowledge that he was the beast, that there was no denying it, as much as he wanted to go back to his old life and times. Yet why too would James have wanted to when he was so much bigger, muscular, primed and fit in that world, as a primate?
It wasn’t a question with an easy answer, meant to be confusing.
“Holy shit.”
He growled, though the words were not what came out, his human voice stolen from him. James grunted, shaking his head, eyes sliding away and then back to the mirror. He didn’t want to believe it was him, yet the hybrid primate in the copper mirror’s reflection… It moved with him, copying his motions. It had to be him. It was him. He had to take that in hand, had to accept it, even as he bared his teeth, hand running back once again through the thicker hair on top of his head, spiked up a little. There were blue tips there too, only noticeable when he leaned in close to the mirror. When he twisted to leave, sighing heavily, he realised that the blue there was the same shade as his large backside, bare and obvious like that of most primates, though the colour made it impossible to miss. It was, however, a rather attractive arse, one that radiated as much power as the rest of him.
Stalking back into the midst of the primates, he tried to act as if he was one of them, as if it was the most normal thing in the world… Of course, it was not. It never could be, even though he eyed them curiously. They took his mind off himself as he watched them, though James could not help but note that they did not act like the primates that he had seen in documentaries and in zoos, back where he’d come from. They were quicker, sharper, the intelligence more obvious when he sat back at a distance to observe. They even sat opposite each other, “talking” to each other in their language, though James cursed himself in grunts and groans for not understanding what they were saying. Would he be able to speak their language in time?
Nevertheless, while he was an unwelcome new leader to their pack of primates, it was a position he assumed as his right, the largest and most openly dominant of them all. He watched and learned how they guarded their group and the temple, viciously chasing off humans and other creatures that may have looked to steal from them or harm them, though James didn’t see any young wandering around. That was odd, especially with how much mating was going on.
Of course, the reason that they had not batted an eyelid at him masturbating had been because they were so used to mating openly as it was, males and females engaging in intimate grooming behaviours, tender and sweet. Yet the males openly mounted the females to grind into them, triumphantly unloading to a chorus of hollers and bellows. In their own way, they were yelling, enjoying their pleasure, gripping one another, though the liaisons went back and forth between tender and rough. It seemed that different primates enjoyed different things, everyone having their own inclinations, though he did enjoy the smooth, black buttocks of the females. Licking his lips, he watched the mating sessions from a distance, his shaft out and in his hand, even if he did not consciously acknowledge what he was doing.
The males were stronger than the females, or so it seemed, their cocks often out on show and their balls heavy and swinging, though they simply did not seem to be like any primates he knew, more exotic still. Though quickly the tribe was becoming more familiar to him than anything back home, the males swinging their longer, thicker tails in offering when they tried to court a female to mating. Sometimes they were successful and other times they were not, chased away with their hind ends tucked and tails down, for the females would not always be open to mating.
Interesting…
_ _
As he lived there, days passing, the nightmare turning into a dream that he was unsure whether it was good or not, James joined in, hunting, foraging, taking the lead when they chased off intruders. He’d thought that he should try to get the humans to understand him, but the treasure hunters dressed in simple cloth to protect them from the jungle heat screamed and ran from him, dropping weapons as they went. The primates that got their hands on those that sought to ransack the temple viciously tore them apart, fangs sinking in – though that was too far for James, even if the transformed primate had no concern whatsoever about what they did.
There was no escape for him, however, and he tried not to think of it too much, even if James still held onto some hope of being freed, of finding a way back to his old life. It had been a boring life and while life as a primate could be said to be the same, it was a satisfying life to be so close to a tribe of primates, baboons and mandrills, who were not all just like him but more than close enough. It was clear to him by then that he was indeed within Jumanji in some way, but that thought no longer made him reel in shock as it once had, only stirring a sense of discomfort in him.
Yet it was easily pushed down as he focused on the moment, taking his cues from those around him. Lunging up onto a rock, he howled and turned around, shaking and “mooning” his huge, smooth, blue backside at the irritating Jumanji natives who were trying, once again, to infiltrate the temple. Did they not see that they were not wanted there? Distrustfully, they stared up at him on his perch, the great primate that had suddenly appeared, thwarting their attempts to retrieve more treasure from the temple. Any weapons they had, however, would not reach James up on the rock, waving his thick tail from one side to the other.
He relished in his power, his control, able to chase them off without even a violent display, his hips wiggling as he spun back around to face them. Baring his teeth ferally, he flipped them off with a middle finger, the sharp claw gleaming in the morning light, the feel of his sheath, thick and plump, and heavy balls swinging gently under him impossible to miss. He knew the humans saw it too, but he did not care, for there was no place for modesty when it came to being a primate.
He was the leader of the tribe and all of them had placed their hope in him, loyal to him. He bared his teeth, his pack around him, lunging up beside him, more of them than ever, all coming together as one.
They roared and bellowed, pounding on the ground, the humans staggering back. They could have chased and attacked, but James, by stopping them from rushing headlong into the fray, had taught them to hold back, to protect themselves at least a little. As the leader, he didn’t want to see any of his own hurt or injured, as much as the baboons and mandrills looked after each other.
There were other ways, after all, to send the humans staggering back in fear, fleeing from the warning that the temple was not theirs, not even when they were always there, always hunting for the treasure. The primates had no personal interest in the treasure, of course; anything they did to protect the area was done in pure defence of their territory, their home, their pack.
The treasure hunters bunched together and muttered about the huge primate, the alpha of the pack. Since he had come, no one had managed to make it up to the temple, the primates maintaining a secure perimeter. Yet they did not know one thing above all else and that was just how the giant hybrid had learned to flip them off.
To say the least of it, that was not primate-like behaviour.
But as the leader of his tribe, stalking through his hope with his sheath holding his thick member tenderly, swaying back and forth, despite all his trepidations, James was home.
