Chapter 4: Aurum
#4 of The Fallen Goddess
Solthas awoke. At first, the darkness was so thick it threaten to suffocate him. As his eyes tried to adjust, His body suddenly screamed in agony as the ravaging of hunger gripped him, and he shook violently from the bitter cold that followed. He tired to move; Pain blasted waves of fire down upon his body, causing him to cry out in the darkness as it seared his soul. He was sure he had died and this was hell--for where else could such anguish be possible.
Suddenly, the excruciating flames began to extinguish, and the cold died away as a single blue flame near him, barely etched out as it danced in the darkness, began to brighten and expand. The hunger slowly melted from his body, and the shivering halted. It was peaceful and relaxing as the cave filled in flowing waves with a gentle blue light. Solthas could see now, the large cave he was in. In front of him, two large cooked cavefish laid their aroma floating gleefully through the air. He lifted himself slowly with wonder, awe, -- and horror. Not all of the cave was filled with the warm sweet light that comforted him. Far in the back, still cloaked in darkness, two eyes gazed back at him.
Their gaze was not of hatred or malice, but one of genuine concern. Still it didn't quell the growing feeling of fear in Solthas. Finally, a voice in his mind broke the eerie silence. "Eat, or would you rather die from starvation."
It was true that the spicy scent of the cavefish had been trying to seduce him since he had been aware of its presence. Cavefish had always been a favorite of his, but you don't just start eating food in a strange environment; especially, not when two eyes were staring at you from an unnaturally dark corner. He made it a personal custom not to eat when he thought he could be in danger, but this time he would make the exception this time. He scooped the fish up into his scaly hands and greedily devoured it. The next fish met the same fate as the first.
After the meal, Solthas propped himself up against the cave wall, he had noticed as he ate that a crucial piece of clothing had gone missing. The cloth covering his sex must have fallen off, during the traumatizing fall. Still, he didn't want to blatantly show himself off to the two eyes, and he positioned his legs to keep the prying eyes away.
"Who and what are you?" Solthas acted unafraid but in reality he was terrified.
The blackness around the eyes flooded with the blue light, and a powerfully built young blue dragon emerged from the shroud of darkness. Solthas could only compare it to a very large dog. Its emerald eyes still showed concern, but strangely, they echoed another emotion-- sorrow. "I am Aurum and obviously by your face you know that I am a dragon."
A Dragon? Always Solthas had been told that dragons were things of myth-- A fantasy created to scare children, but here before him stood a blue dragon. "What happened?"
Aurum shifted in his spot as his scales shimmered like water in the dancing blue flame light. "You almost died, that's what happened."
"Died?" A brief flash of memory came over Solthas, but as swiftly as it came it fluttered away. "I don't remember--"
"I wouldn't expect you to," Aurum interrupted, his deep gaze still focused on Solthas. "It was almost a month ago that it happened."
"A month?!" He responded incredulously. "No creature alive can survive without food that long, and certainly not me."
Aurum's tail lifted and pointed to the blue flame in one sweeping motion. "You see that blue flame, it alone keeps you alive by my will. My life-force is fed to you through it, and the air you breathe is created and recycled by it."
Solthas drew closer and spotted beneath the flame a small magic glyph. He was fascinated by it, but didn't dare get closer. "My next question is why are you helping me?"
"Would you let someone who needed your help die?" He asked, wondering about how Solthas would respond.
The past few minutes had preoccupied most of Solthas's thoughts, mostly with fear. But with Aurum's question, the memories of Drake flooded back. Solthas cursed at himself for leaving him behind. If only he had stayed, Drake would've been okay. Suddenly, it struck Solthas-- He still could be.
"I need to get to the surface." Solthas demanded to Aurum, who had sense the distress that Solthas felt, but not why.
Aurum gave a sigh,"If you leave this cave, you'll die. As I've said, that flame is supporting you and it doesn't have unlimited range."
"Can you go to the surface and look for someone?"
Fear flickered in Aurum's innocent emerald eyes. HE could still be up there. "I- I can't."
"Why not?" Solthas continued in his demanding tone. "You don't have to fly far, just look for his body, if there is none, he's okay. His hair is a deep black, and he carries a nice greatsword."
"Its just--" Desperation soaked his voice, but eventually it subsided. "I'll look, okay?"
Aurum stood and hurriedly passed Solthas, into the shallow entrance of cool water, and out into the open sea. The gentle current messaged his sides, comforting him as he lounged in it to collect his thoughts. He probably should've told Solthas why he was so reluctant to surface.
After his mother died in his early youth, he was given by his father to another dragon that he trusted to look over him. After that fateful day, he was raped by the large monster, and then beaten afterwards for many years of his beginning life.
When Aurum was old enough to fly, he was forced to retrieve nearby animals for the monster to eat. One day, he got an idea--one that he'd be beaten for-- Use the natural ability he (actually all blue dragons had the ability) had been given by nature, to stay underwater longer than any other dragon alive. Slowly, day by day, he would dive deep underwater almost drowning himself and use his magic to carve a luxurious cave.
Finally one day, he left and never returned. Aurum chuckled to himself, wonder what the poor bastard did after that. Eventually, the dragon tracked him down, probably by scent was what Aurum assumed. In the beginning, he could hear the dragon trying to get to him underwater, but never could hold his breath long enough. More often the dragon would attack him on the surface. It happened twice and after the second time, Aurum never dared to leave the safety of the water. Until now that is.
Aurum surfaced in the dull gray water. He peered about cautiously before using his wet wings to lift himself out of the water. Having forgotten how enjoyable flying had been, he soared higher and higher, almost to the cave ceiling. He looked below, his sharp eyesight absorbing everything. The undead shambled about below, looking for something alive to eat. There was nothing, except for a house, but it was well guarded with glyphs, so much so, that he didn't dare land near it. Aurum returned to an anxious Solthas.
"Did you see anything?" Solthas asked when Aurum's head emerged up from the pool.
"No, there was only a few undead and a small cabin, but I couldn't get close to it." Aurum watched as Solthas's anxiety went away only to be replaced by a nagging worry.
Aurum rested on his delicate underbelly beside Solthas. His tail pulled him against his side, trying to comfort him the way dragons did. Solthas was tired, and Aurum so warm, that he instinctively curled against Aurum's side and with a smile, sleep over took him. Aurum rested his head near his tail, encircling Solthas, before following him into a peaceful sleep...
A hellish recollection came to Solthas's as he slept in a false peace. It was years ago, at the start of the war. He was a naïve soldier fresh out of training, the only real reason he joined was to please his father--who was once a great powerful general. Perhaps things would've worked out differently, Solthas had thought, if he had been home with his mate and their child that fateful night.
Time seemed to be moving slower and slower, as he stood in the Merchants quarter. Its dull assortment of goods lay scattered about on decorated blankets, and nothing really stood out to Solthas as interesting and he glanced around absent-mindedly. Finally, his eyes rested upon the glowing lichen on the ceiling, wondering whom or what had made it.
A flicker in the corner of his eyes caught his attention. "Solthas, I'm here to relieve you of patrol." A slightly smaller guard said as his tail flickered casually.Solthas simply nodded in a relieved recognition, and walked down the center market street; the loud metallic clinking of his armor the only thing to accompany him.
The scent of fire hovered in the air around Solthas's noise. At first it didn't register to him as odd --perhaps someone burning their trash-- but as it grew to billowing clouds of blackish-grey smoke in the distance he became alarmed. He wasn't sure what to think, but assumed it was a fire in the slums.
His small single-story brick home with its flat roof, a usual style, was close to the slums and the icy tentacles of fear began to constrict around him-- his family was at home. The decorative merchant rugs sailed by as he lithely sprinted. Out of the lifeless Merchant's quarter, into the burning slums, where he gazed upon his home engulfed in roaring flames. A voice in his mind screamed for him to run in and see if they were still in the house, but the searing flames had claimed the entrance. He heard shrieks, as his people awoke to their burning houses and beds. But one shriek cut like a knife through the night's darkness and even above the roar of the flames--his daughter. He sprinted along the burning houses, looking left and right between the spaces of the houses, hoping he wouldn't be too late. Panic began to well up in his chest.
He spotted a malevolent figure in the background of one of the alleyways, and somehow he knew that was where she was. The man hovered over his daughter, with a cold cruel smile carved on his face. His oil-black hair reflected the soft glow of the lichen, and blood-red eyes looked to Solthas with a demonic glance, and his sickening smile grew wider.
Solthas pumped all the energy he could into his legs, pounding the ground with each step. The long alley seemed to stretch unnaturally with each step, as did the feeling of helplessness. The man withdrew a dagger from the holster on his side. He stood over her enjoying the sweet domination, before plunging the dagger into the her innocent heart--
Solthas woke up with chills running down his body. He curled closer to Aurum's warm reptilian body hoping that the coldness that blanketed over him would die away. For sometime, he listened to the soft beating of Aurum's large heart, its pulsing beats were relaxing to listen to and the warmth reminded him of the hot springs. The pleasant thought of that place melted away the nightmare completely. He rolled over slowly, trying to not wake Aurum, but Solthas was greeted with a warm smile, and two vibrant emerald eyes.
"Why so happy?" Solthas asked him, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
"Have you ever felt something was so right it had to be true?" He answered thoughtfully,
Solthas sat up still sore and tired even after the long rest. "Yeah. I think--Why?"
Gracefully, Aurum held his tail up in front of Solthas. On the very tip grew a single white energy ball, gradually it expanded to the size of a small grapefruit. It gave off a soft hum. "This is a Soul Orb. Do you know what it does?"
Solthas gazed with a hypnotic curiosity at the perfect white sphere. "Is it like a Soul gem?"
"I suppose they're related. Mine's more powerful and only between us, it literally binds two souls together."
"What exactly do you mean 'share souls'?" He spoke softly, still entranced by the white sphere.
"I don't know what will happen really." Aurum responded moving the sphere slightly closer to Solthas to tempt him, "The lore about it that I know is vague, if not completely useless, but in our history it is an honor to give to another. And well-- I want you to have it-- if you'll take it that is."
Solthas' wasn't quite sure what to think, they had only known each other for awhile now. The bigger question on his mind was, did they know each other well enough to do something like this? "Why me?" He said finally. "I want to know what you think makes me better than anyone else who would've fallen down here."
Aurum was silent for a moment, choosing his words carefully; knowing that if he presented himself wrong Solthas would deny his offer. Deep inside he knew Solthas was the one, it wasn't something he could justify--but he had to. He had to say something from his heart to convince Solthas, and he said the first words that came to mind. "When I had found you floating in the water near death, I had a choice to make. On one hand, I could leave you, and on the other hand I could help you. Something inside me wouldn't allow me to leave you there." He stopped letting his words sink into Solthas.
His eyes drifted downward, afraid of the consequences of what he was going to say. "I- I became... attracted to you. I admired how resilient and strong you were and somewhere along the way, I came to feel that I could trust you above all others."
Solthas looked thoughtfully at the white orb still before him; it seemed to have adopted a light creamish swirl since he last focused on it. "I accept." He answered softly as his hands reached out to the white swirling orb.
It was strange, the darkness that engulfed Solthas when he touched the orb. It ate away from the cave where he and Aurum had slept, leaving him in seeming emptiness. A sudden swirl of colors whipped in a frenzie around him. The churning dark rainbow of dull colors began to solidify, forming a cave carved in sand stone with large metal torches along the walls. When the room fully solidified, the torches flickered as if acknowledging Solthas. He stood within the massive cave, watching a young Aurum being raped by a larger black dragon. He could feel Aurum's excruciating pain in his own mind, but the crushing hatred of the Dragon was even stronger.
The black dragon continued to thrust, sadistically enjoying the ripping pain he brought upon Aurum. The young Aurum gave a begging glanced to Solthas, tears rolling from his eyes. Their gaze broke as Aurum let out a strangled cry. The black dragon had dug his yellowed ivory claws into Aurum's back, having realized he'd seen Solthas. Warm red blood flowed from the wounds, as the black dragon gave a cold, vile smile to Solthas; as if to say he'd won.
Something in that smile stabbed like a dagger into Solthas, igniting all his rage. Solthas charged and kicked the black dragon with all the force he could. His foot found its mark and the dragon was torn away from Aurum (who took the opportunity to flee to the corner). The black dragon glared at Solthas, before he savagely pounced on him. The dragon easily outweighed Solthas and brought him quickly down. As he struggled, He became aware of what the dragon planned to do-- as the black dragon adjusted to penetrate him. The dragon looked at him with the same cruel smile, happy that it found new prey. Solthas turned his head to Aurum, who was cowering in the corner.
Once again their gaze met and for some reason unknown to Solthas, the small dragon in the corner's shape began to contort. Its body began to contort and rapidly expand and the muscles began to thicken beneath his skin. The now stronger Aurum saw Solthas in trouble and came to his aid. He lunged at the black dragon, digging his long fangs into the flesh of the black dragon's neck. The monstrous creature shrieked in agony as they rolled off and began lashing their powerful fore claws at each other.
Solthas knew he had to find a way to help, and the answer had presented itself in the start of the illusion. He grasped the heavy brass torch handle from the wall, and looked to see how Aurum was doing. He was bleeding in little streams and occasionally streamers of his flesh tore from his body, while the other dragon seemed to have no wounds at all.
Pulling with all of his strength the torch came free, and Solthas ran to the aid of his dragon. Having seen a head of time what Solthas had planned, Aurum had conserved his strength at the expense of his body. Timing it right, he used all of his muscles to throw the black dragon on its vulnerable back.
With the heavy torch poised above his head and his foot on the neck of the black dragon, Solthas returned the dragon's smile as the torch fell with lightning speed upon the it's skull. The bronze easily won against the bone and the skull and body of the black dragon shattered like black glass. Solthas fell on his knees, not quite sure what had happened, but happy that he had saved Aurum.
A long deserved relieve filled Aurum as he witness the death of the creature that had haunted him for so long. When he looked at Solthas, a sensation wrapped around his heart, extreme gratitude--maybe even love. For most of his life he never felt love nor gratitude, mostly just hate and regret; but now he found someone to 'love' if this was what he was feeling. The powerfully seductive urge overwhelmed him and he kissed the soft reptilian lips of Solthas. Solthas was surprised but allowed their mouths to overlap, their eyes closed in that single moment of union...
When they opened them, they found themselves back in the small cave, still holding the tender kiss as if wanting to live in that single moment forever. Solthas enjoyed the sweet kiss, as he rested on his knees. Aurum began to detach fearing he had shamed himself, but Solthas reassuringly pulled his warm lips back to his. One having been abused, and the other never seduced a dragon, their tongues touched timidly. Images of what Aurum wanted to do floated mischievously into Solthas's mind, causing him to give a long sensuous moan. He felt Aurum's warm claw upon his leg, quickly followed by the other.
His paws were as soft as silk, and glided easily over Solthas's powerfully built legs. The warmth of the touch penetrated deep into Solthas-- he wanted something more pleasurable. Aurum felt Solthas's hand guide his claw closer and closer to his sex. Solthas was well beyond being hard, and the pleasure that Aurum created a burning desire inside him. A lust for his warm dragon cum burned in his veins--Apparently Aurum burned equally as hot. Aurum slid his paw up Solthas's shaft, making sure to rub ever inch of his throbbing sex. He made sure to rotate his fore claw around his head as a teasing finish. A deep hidden lust gripped Aurum's sex, pulling it from his slit. Aurum removed his lips and felt a little braver.
He brought his long tongue, dripping with his hot saliva, next to Solthas's towering member and began to lick up the shaft. His saliva ran down in rivulets along it, and Aurum could feel the fiery desire within Solthas. It shrieked its demands, lusting to feel Aurum's stimulating mouth around his reptilian cock head. Aurum was all but too happy to relieve Solthas.
It was a new and strange sensation, having the warm throbbing cock between his lips. He pushed his tongue against it and felt the blood pulsing inside. He pushed down so far his lips kissed the large sack. His sex enjoyed the feeling the soft reptilian flesh in his mouth, and grew harder as his excited heart beat faster.
Solthas laid on his back as waves of pleasure washed over him. Aurum sucked, enjoying the taste his sex gave and wondered what the sticky cum would taste like. His tongue moved around Solthas's cock head, rubbing it with each new suck. He could feel the building pressure inside Solthas, as if it was his own. He wondered what it would feel like if Solthas cummed--he didn't have to wait long as he felt Solthas dribble.
His hot sex spasmed his cum all over Aurum's mouth and with a moan he unleashed several more shots of his tasty juices. The orgasm sapped the strength in his muscles, and electrified his brain with pleasure as Aurum's mouth continued to hammer away. It carried over to Aurum who gave a muffled moan as his own sex began to pulse, but even though it felt a thousand times over like he was cumming, he wasn't. The pleasure tickled his sex, but exploded in his mind leaving him barely able to hold himself up. He groaned as the pleasure subsided, but relaxed knowing that it would soon be back.
Now it was his turn. Solthas's tail rubbed and tugged at his sex with growing eagerness. His desire to please Aurum was intense, and grew as he played around with his large member. He longed for the gallon of cum he was sure Aurum could shoot off easily, and in his mind imagined how it would feel to have him inside about to unload.
Solthas could feel the comforting heat of Aurum's sex as he rested on his back, readying himself for the throbbing dragoncock to enter him. He watched Aurum, suck himself to lube up. When the dragon was ready, Solthas spread his legs to allow him to slide in easier. He wanted to experience the dragon member's flowing stream of warm cum. He wanted even more to experience the massive orgasm that he was sure Aurum would have.
Aurum moved slowly up Solthas's body as his dragonhood slithered deeper into him, and closed his eyes as the new sensation of warmth and pleasure, rolled over him. Finally he had found someone to experience sex with, and no longer would he be alone.
The warm embrace of the hole made him hornier and he purred with the anticipation of sex. Finally, his slit met Solthas's sculpted tight ass. Here comes the fun part, Aurum thought to himself. He gave a few light playful thrusts enjoying cock's new home; as he felt Solthas's tight sexy abs beneath him flex from the stimulation. Solthas's slid the tip of his tail up into the warmth of Aurum's own hole, which pleased him immensely.
Aurum's thrusts increased and each pump of his powerful sex made Solthas groan in pleasure. Solthas watched the dragon's powerful underbelly muscles flex as he thrusted. He knew he had made the right choice of sharing their lives. He could feel the muscles inside the dragoncock delivering a taste of its full load to his insides. It was amazingly warm and when he felt a continuous pulse, he knew his dragon was about to blow. The orgasm made his look weak, as his body seized up in the pure ecstasy of a dragon's orgasm. The powerful creature collapsed upon his lover's powerful chest, his own orgasm filling his mind and pushing out everything else. As the orgasm's grasp over them began to diminish, Aurum removed himself, rolling his exhausted hot body upon the cave floor.
