Jeffery Miles has a problem, and that problem is his own perceived weakness. A workaholic who seemingly can't say no to his job, he spends hours - sometimes days - toiling within his office, with no end in sight. All the while at home, his wife's patience grows weary, and his home life deteriorates. Not made any better by his tendency to sometimes put work over family. But things change when he meets his new neighbor; the mysterious and vivacious Vanessa De'Atore. Who is she, and why is it that he can't take her eyes off of her? Perhaps through her, he can feel strong again.

Hello everyone, and welcome to another story from me, TulipSquirrel.

Man, I need to find a better introduction or something. I feel like that one is getting a bit tiresome. Or maybe that's just me.

Anyway, we continue our October stories with a darker edge with today's tale! Not as dark I'd argue as last week's story, Bark Bark, but still certainly sinister in its own right. The idea of this story actually dates back a while. I wanted to write a story of a married man being seduced by his neighbor, but just never really got around to doing it. Not only that, but the character of Vanessa De'Atore was a character I made for a RP that fell to the wayside years ago. So when thinking up a story for this week, my mind went 'Hey, why not bring Vanessa back?', and, well, the rest of the story practically wrote itself!

Personally, I love a succubus! I find them so fascinating, but it seems most people prefer vampires, which is such a shame! Succubi/Incubi are cool too! Not only that, but I've really had the hankering to write about a bat. Like... I think the last time I wrote about a bat in a story was in my Immoral Fruit series? Man, that's ages ago! With all the times I've used vixens, wolves, felines, and even bunnies as of late, I should've wrote about a bat much sooner! Not only bats, but jackals too! Hmmm...

Thoughts for later!

I don't really have much else to say for this story, aside from I really enjoyed writing it, and I really love the character of Vanessa. Perhaps I'll use her again someday, or maybe not! The original story I had Vanessa in, she wasn't nearly as malicious! But it's October! If there's any time to write about maliciousness, it's now I suppose! So with that in mind, I must now think about what I'll write next week. Whatever it ends up being, I hope you'll be there.

And, yes, this story did end up being longer than expected! I'm glad you noticed!

The Succubus Next Door

He was weak.

He didn't know when he became weak.

He didn't know how he became weak.

He didn't know why he became weak.

He just knew that he was weak.

And he hated it.

“Jeffery. Jeffery! Wake... up...”

There was once a time in his life where her voice was like honey to his ears. The sounds of it would draw a smile to his face, and make his features brighten up like the rays of the sunlight. Coupled with her own cute looks that could become as furious as a storm, he felt like he'd never find a woman as utterly perfect as she was. He worshiped the ground she walked on, showered her with endless affection and love.

Love... huh...

Where had the love gone?

“Hgggh... I'm up... I'm up. Haaah... I'm up,”

When he woke up, the first thing he saw in the morning was her scowling face. The eyes slant in annoyance, the frown upon her face, her messy and curling blonde hair. She was just as young as he was, a foot shorter, a bit skinnier as well, more lithe, and certainly more sharp and tense.

“Good morning, Amanda,” he said, putting on a smile for the woman who leered over him.

She cocked her head back, annoyed and abrasive, before pointing towards the bathroom in the distance.

“Hey! Get up, Jeffery,” she said again, ignoring him, “Junior isn't going to walk himself around!”

“Riiiight... haah...”

Leaning up form his bed, he performed a few stretches that cracked some bones in his spine, while the woman at his side – Amanda – scoffed and pulled away. Retreating herself to the vanity mirror at the corner of the room, she allowed him to go to the bathroom to his own pace, where he couldn't help but to glance at her. She was so indifferent to his existence, so put off by it. And as time went on, he feared he was feeling similar to her.

Extending his hand, he reached out to talk to her... but he pulled his hand back in. Why bother? She wouldn't listen anyway...

So he retreated to their bathroom, where he saw a lot of her hair-car products sitting around the sink. Brushing them aside, his hand reached out for his toothbrush, while his eyes cut up towards his reflection in the mirror.

He was tall, not too tall mind you, but certainly taller than the abrasive blonde outside. His hair was short and black and neatly groomed, while his eyes were this deep and dark blue. His face was... rather stiff and stern however, appearing indifferent if not outright bored with his surroundings. Or maybe it was something else. Maybe he was just...

Sad...

His name was Jeffery, Jeffery Miles, and that woman outside – the one who woke him up – was his wife of four years, Amanda Miles. But nowadays, he didn't feel like they were that happily wedded couple they were three years ago, or even two years ago. He felt like a distance had grown between them, especially as they spend less and less time with one another.

He wouldn't call their romance a whirlwind one. They knew each other since childhood, in fact! He was the bookish type, always reading his little books, always studying, always attempting to get good grades. And she? Heh, she was the bully. Always teasing him, always taunting him, always making fun of him for being a 'nerd'.

But as time went on, those taunts and teases changed. They grew older, and as bullying didn't work on him, flirtatious remarks and gestures certainly did. Sometimes blouses were too cleavage exposing, and skirts were just a bit too short. A tiny jump there, a bend over here, and Jeffery would be getting more than just an eyeful of her.

He wasn't sure if she was just taunting him to taunt him, or if these gestures were genuine. And ll that came to a head one day leading up to prom, where he somehow gained enough courage to just bite the bullet and ask her out. What was the worse she could do? Make fun of him for it?

Well, yeah, because that's exactly what she did! Amanda made fun of him relentlessly for asking her out of all people... but that didn't stop her from saying yes. They went out, coordinated their prom clothes with one another, and when the day came, they had a truly magical night. If you would have told him when he was eight that ten years later he'd be going to prom with the girl who relentlessly bullied him, he would have cried.

He was kind of sensitive as a little boy.

But that night... it borne something magical within him. Not only was it the night where he felt like he fell in love with her for the first time, but it was also that night that made him into a man, in the most... primal of ways, putting it lightly.

Time goes on, and the passions between them didn't simmer, they burned even hotter. As they graduated from high school together, he set his eyes on the future, one Golden Bell Academy outside of Document City. There he'd get the chance to become greater than he's ever been. Golden Bell Academy was the best school this side of the country, and for him to be good enough to get in was a god send! But it was far from their home, and if he'd want to attend, he'd need to move.

Move away from home.

Move away from his family.

Move away from her.

Unless...

“Nnghh... oh boy... my neck hurts,” Jeffery muttered as he emerged from the bathroom, nice and freshened up following his morning shower, “Aaaah... good morning, Amanda.”

“Yeah, good morning, Jeff,” she replied, her tone naturally laced with a snarky attitude.

He grimaced and reached his hand out for her... only to pull back. Sometimes it was best to just let Amanda do something like this; sit at her vanity mirror and tend to her hair, as she loves to do. Day in and day out. It was the weekend, he had no work, they had all day ahead of them...

And he was sure nothing was going to happen.

“You shouldn't dally all day,” Amanda said as she looked over her shoulder towards her husband, “Junior's been looking forward to spending time with his father. I'd hate for you to ruin it by not being there with him. He may forget what your face looks like.”

“Is that your attempt at a joke?” Jeffery replied with his head cocked, “I'm sorry, Amanda, but you know I'm working as hard as I possibly can. Haaah...” he shook his head, “It's not cheep keeping this house running.”

“Mmm...”

It seemed as if she had some retort on her tongue... but she decided to just leave it be. Instead she shifted her gaze back to her reflection in the mirror, her hand grabbing upon her brush nearby. Growing silent, Amanda went back to tending to her blonde hair, while Jeffery merely sighed. Exiting his bedroom, he stepped out into the halls outside, his back leaning up against the door as he closed it behind him.

There had to be a way to mend things, there just had to be. Amanda was always abrasive and hardheaded, but as of late, she'd taken things to an almost extreme degree. In the past, she would have just shouted at him, yelled at him whenever he did something stupid. Amanda wasn't the type to be sneaky and conniving; she was as blunt as a bat to the head! But these days, she was just so... distant.

And that distance scared him.

“I gotta figure something out,” Jeffery muttered to himself as he stepped forward, coming near a window in his home, “Maybe I could take her out to dinner? Just me and her? Maybe... hmm...” he curled in, thinking about things for a few moments, “She loves pastries from Pastry Puffs... and with my connections, I could easily get us a reservation at the Illusion... I could... hmm...”

“DAAADDDYYY!!!”

Wump!

“Oof!?”

He was a blur. One moment he was standing at the end of the hall, the next moment he felt a tiny little head bump into his stomach. Stepping back, Jeffery nearly fell back, but his hand gently fell upon the head of the one who embraced him.

While she may have been distant and cold, he could always rely on him to brighten his day up.

Little Jeffery Miles the second, or 'Junior' as everyone calls him. And seeing as how he's only three, Jeffery was pretty sure his son thought his name was only Junior. He was the spitting image of his father, though with the blond hair of his mother, and the brown eyes of her too. And with his cute, smooth features, he was assured to brighten up anyone's day!

Being a toddler, he only came up to his parents' hips, though he was already taller than most other kids in his preschool. Didn't matter to Jeffery, who so casually lifted his son up into his arms, hugging him close and smiling from cheek to cheek, before pressing his lips to his cheek in a soft kiss.

“Good morning, Junior!” Jeffery said as he held his son out from him, “Good to see you're up and about already!”

“Heehee! Mommy said you were gonna take me to the park yesterday!” he replied, “We're gonna go... right?”

Smiling, he picked his son up into his arms, holding him in close. He could feel the warmth, the love, the adoration. Things may be turning cold between he and Amanda, but it's not like Junior had any idea of that. And while Jeffery was not so blind that he could not see what the distance his job had on his life, he could also tell that his son still loved him nonetheless.

His wife may say scathing things to his face, but she wasn't saying it to their son.

“Of course, Junior!” he said with a smile, “I'll take you to the park right away! But uh... first, let's get some breakfast...”

On the outside, the Miles family looked like your typical young adult family. Husband who was very business minded, wife who was young and spunky, and a son who would no doubt grow up into a fine young man. This feeling is only compounded with where they live, in the beautiful neighborhood of Jade Heights, which stood just outside the city of Document. It – and its neighboring suburb Emerald Hill – was the perfect place for one to star a family within a house all their own.

But of course, if anyone were to pay attention, they'd realize the number of times they've actually seen the family in full, could possibly counted on one hand. Usually if one were to see Jeffery Jr. with someone, it was only with his mother, with his father being nowhere to be seen. But today, on this beautiful Saturday morning, things were different. Today...

Today...

“Alright, Junior. The Park's this way!”

“Heh heh! I know that, Daddy! Mommy takes me there all the time!”

“Riiiight... heh...”

Quite cheeky kid, huh? Guess Amanda's snark was already starting to rub off on him. And with all the time they spend together, yeah... he should've seen this coming, shouldn't he have?

With Junior in his arms, Jeffery exited from his home and walked down the porch. The two were like the spitting image of one another, what with him in his formal blue sweater vest and indigo slacks, and his son matching him. If not for Junior's blond hair, one would imagine Jeffery had somehow learned time travel!

On this Saturday morning, the air was quiet and cool. One could hear the distant conversations of people, which only grew louder as they came closer to Jade Height's own park. Along the way, Jeffery found the area growing more and more... alien to him. He didn't recognize this street or this road, and after a while...

“Daddy?”

“Huh? Yeah, Junior?”

“Where are we going?” his son asked, causing him to raise an eyebrow.

“Uhhmm... to the park...?” he answered.

“But... the park's that way, Daddy,” he replied whilst pointing into an entirely different direction.

Jeffery stopped, his expression shifting into one of confusion and shock. How had he forgotten where the park was? And if had forgotten... where was he going? Wasn't this the way to the park? Unless... his memories were playing tricks on him?

Had it really been that long since he last went to the park?

Well...

“Right, right! This way to the park! I was just testing you, Junior!” Jeffery said with a chuckle; his attempts to turn the subject in his favor. And with Junior being, well, three, obviously it worked!

“Okay!” he said cheerfully, with Jeffery turning to walk into his son's directions.

It embarrassed him to know that somehow he had forgotten the location of the park in a place he lives. Though as of late, he has been spending more and more time at the office. It's easier just to sleep in one's cubicle through the night and take a quick shower at the nearby gym, than it is to drive all the way home in the dead of night, go to bed, and then be up for work in the morning yet again in a few hours.

His job demanded a lot from him, and like the weak man he is who couldn't put his foot down and say 'no', he just sat there and took it. And it led to this; not even remembering where the park was in his own damn neighborhood.

Ugh... maybe Amanda had a reason to be so angry with him.

But things took a turn for the better when they finally came to the park itself! Bright and vibrant, the Jade Heights park was a place frequented by many a family. While nowhere near as large as, say, Unity Park that lays within the heart of Document City, it was large enough to contain many families at the moment, and a playground. A playground which itself was already dense with children running and bumping into one another. And from the looks of giddy excitement on his face, Junior couldn't wait to get in on the action. Sooo...

“Alright, Junior,” Jeffery said as he put his son down, “Go ahead and--”

Fwoosh!

“Uh... try to... enjoy yourself?”

Drawing his gaze up, he watched as his son tossed himself into the droves of kids at the playground, almost to a belligerent degree! Like, did he have to dive face first into the sandpit? Why would he dive face-first into a sandpit? Though, he is a child, so... well, maybe he was just as crazy as he was.

“HAH HAH HA! SEE, DADDY!?” Junior cried, drawing a smile to his father's face.

“Yeah Junior, I see ya!” he replied whilst sitting down upon a nearby bench, “Try not to mess up your clothes, okay?”

“HAH HAH HAH!”

He was sure his words just fell upon deaf ears, but it still made him smile nonetheless. His son was a raging dynamo of endless energy; always bouncing and bounding around. Like his snarky tone, Jeffery was sure his son gained that aspect of his personality from his mother. Jeff just needed to make sure his son didn't start slinging punches, or he'd really be Amanda's spitting image!

But as his son began playing with the other kids, he felt his pants rumble; his phone was ringing. Reaching down, he pulled it out from his pocket and gazed upon its surface, where he saw the familiar name of his company gaze back.

Keystar Inc. Sound familiar of a name to you? If not, then some of their products may sound familiar to you. Have you gone into a sporting store in the past, oh, ten years? Then there's a high chance that almost all of the products on sell within said store has their name on it somewhere. Keystar Inc. was at the forefront in sporting items of all shapes and sizes. Baseball bats, tennis rackets, fishing poles; you name it, they've made it, and they've made a damn fine one at that!

Jeffery worked for the major sporting business, specifically in their eastern branch, where he helped maintain the business side of things. You know, the trading of money, who buys what, and what goes where. He was one of many among them, and a very important one as well. While young, his intelligence and precision got him rather high on the chain rather quickly... but at a price.

Don't get him wrong; he does actually like his job! He adores what it's done for him, and what he's doing in his life! Even as the sole breadwinner in his household, he's able to afford a house that's already larger than the one he grew up with his parents in!

But he'd be lying if he said all that work didn't have a drain on his life. Having not yet gained nor maintained a work-life balance, he found Amanda's critical eyes and relentless voice difficult to ignore. If she were here right now, she'd no doubt scoff and glare at him. In fact, he could hear that scoff, could feel those icy daggers she had for eyes.

And what of Junior? His son looked so excited to just sit here at the park with him? How would he feel if his father took this message on the phone and paid more attention to it more than him? These were the formative years of his son's life... and Jeffery was staring to miss them. And once he missed them, there's no going back. Hah...

That weakness again; it made him lean over. He didn't want to answer this phone, but he feared some imaginary punishment would befall him if he didn't. He came dangerously close to tapping this message with his thumb... when a shadow descended over his head.

“Excuse me, sir... is this spot taken?” a voice rang from overhead.

Jeffery leaned up, that voice being one he's never heard of before. It had a unique accent to it as well... Italian, he'd argue, but he wasn't exactly sure. But, uh, wait, we're getting ahead of ourselves; who is it that's speaking to him right now? Well, he turned to face the person – face the woman – who spoke to him.

And the first thing he saw as an... umbrella? Yes, an umbrella! It was elegant, with a white and red color scheme to it, and a refined floral pattern too. It covered the head of the woman beside him, making it hard to tell who she was. But even from this sight, he could see that she was a bat. Her wingspan was impressive as fluttered softly from her back, but that's all he could see at the moment. Still, he patted the empty spot on the bench next to him, nodded and then smiled.

“Sure,” Jeffery said, “You can sit.”

“Thank you, sweetheart.”

She took a step forward, turned, then sat down. And it was now, finally as she sat beside him did her umbrella lift up, allowing him to gaze directly upon her face.

And...

Honestly...

He had never seen a woman as sultry as she was.

Jeffery was right earlier: she was indeed a bat. Her fur was tan in color, and from her head spilled scarlet hair as vibrant as a velvet. It flowed down the back of her head, wavy and loose, yet oh so majestic. A hat sat on her head to tame some of her hair, and she had a shades on her face which obscured her eyes.

But... right... that 'sultry' bit from earlier. It was because of her body.

This figure... tight and slim upon her shoulders and midsection, but oh so presumptuous in chest. He wouldn't be gazing at said chest so hard, if her white and red sundress wasn't so cleavage exposing! The bodice of it hugged close to her bust, and it seemed to give a lift as well! But he didn't see the straps of a bra at all!

It drew a blush to Jeffery's face, and he opened his mouth to speak, but the woman grabbed her shades and removed them. And... those eyes. Those piercing, sensual, elegant eyes. Green like grass, they were slender, and could so easily pierce through others like they were made of paper. Gazing upon the eyes of this vivacious chiropteran, Jeffery felt his breathing get caught up in his chest, and his eyes widen softly.

Just who is she...?

“Is... something the matter?” the woman asked, noticing Jeffery's intense gaze.

“Huh? Oh... uh... a... apologies,” he said as he sheepishly scratched at the back of his head, “I didn't mean to stare so hard.”

“Ufu... don't apologies, I don't mind,” the woman replied as a smile spread out upon her cheeks, “It's nice to meet you Mister...?”

“Miles. Jeffery Miles,” he answered as he extended his hand.

“Jeffery Miles?” the woman replied, her eyebrow raising, “Are you... Amanda Miles' brother?

Jeffery nearly choked on his own spit.

“Glkggglk!? B-brother?” he repeated, before shaking his head, “N-no! I'm Amanda's husband.”

“Husband? Ufu~ oh! Apologies,” the woman said as she gave a mirthful giggle, “I did not know! Of all the conversations I've had with Amanda, she never once mentioned her husband's name. She always said he was busy.”

“Amanda... you know Amanda? You've spoken with her?” Jeffery asked, to which the woman nodded.

“Ufu! Of course! We talk often,” the woman answered before shaking her head, “Ah... apologies yet again; I have yet to introduce myself...”

And then she raised her hand, placing it upon her chest... of which she began pushing it out. Jeffery's eyes leered at her bust briefly, then pulled back up to gaze upon the woman's alluring face.

“I am Vanessa De'Atore. And I am your next door neighbor...

“N-neighbor? But I thought...!”

Jeffery cut himself off as his eyes doubled in size. She was his neighbor? When did that happen? He would have remembered one of his neighbors being an alluring bat such as herself! But when he tried to remember his neighbors, his mind came up blank. And really... he couldn't tell you who his neighbors were on either side of his fence! He remembered meeting them once, but that day was so long ago, he couldn't even remember their names! But he certainly knew he'd remember someone as vivacious as Vanessa!

“I uh... well... okay then... um...” he smiled sheepishly as he offered her his hand, “Nice to meet you, neighbor!

“Ufu! Nice to meet you too, neighbor,” Vanessa said as she took his hand and shook it.

It was brief, but in that moment he could feel how soft and slender her digits were. But the hold she had on his hand was firm nonetheless, a grasp that showed a hint of power. It made him smile, even as their hands pulled away, and even as he stared over to Junior in the distance. Still tumbling around in the sand, unfortunately.

“So... you are Jeffery's father?” Vanessa said, “I suppose that makes him Jeffery the Second, correct?”

“Yeah... Junior's my son,” he answered, “Heh... I know that may come as a surprise because I'm not around a lot, but... that's just because I'm working so much. My job demands a lot from me.”

“Ufu... you don't have to explain yourself,” Vanessa stated as she nudged his shoulder with her own, “He's a child now and he may throw tantrums over the fact that his father's not around all the time... but one day in the future when he's a young man, he'll really remember and be thankful for all the hard work you put in for him. Being a father can often times feel thankless.”

“Yeeaaah... hmm...”

Frowning a bit, Jeffery closed his eyes. At least someone out here understood his dilemma. He wasn't working hard because he wanted to; he was working hard because he wanted to provide for his family. He was fortunate, lucky, blessed, and whatever else have you, to have a job of this caliber! One where his wife didn't need to work, and his son could go to such a nice preschool! Is that so wrong?

With the way Amanda acted towards him: yes, yes it was.

“I'm sorry, I just poured my heart out,” Jeffery said, to which Vanessa giggled.

“It's okay, Mr. Miles, honestly!” she replied, “Your wife has done likewise in our conversations together. I can see why you two are married!”

“Riiiight... uh... so you and Amanda talk often?” he asked, making the bat nod.

“Your wife loves her morning run,” Vanessa replied, “I sometimes run into her in those mornings. We stop and chat about things. Your son often times comes up – he is such a cutie – and just how life is going in general. Your wife is a true firecracker; any conversation I have with her is not a wasted one.”

“But you didn't know I was her husband...” Jeffery muttered, “Why is that?”

“She doesn't talk about you often,” Vanessa answered, “Often times when I ask about you, Amanda mentions how busy you are. It wasn't until today that I even knew your name...” she cocked her head, “And it's not until today that you even knew I existed! You must really be a busy man for you to be unaware of your own neighbors.”

“Aah... man...”

He frowned, once again feeling bad for how much his job keeps him away from his family. Noticing this shift, Vanessa gave him a reassuring smile, and placed her hand upon his thigh. With a tender squeeze she brought his gaze back to her, with his eyes seizing up the redheaded bat from her face to her legs.

The sundress she wore clinched sensually upon the midsection of her body, flaunting how hourglass her figure was. The bust of her cleavage was on full display too, with her dress' bodice helping to play up how large and full her breasts were. She was far bustier than Amanda, and was a foot taller than her as well. So when he looked over, his face met Vanessa's face. The piercing green eyes, the alluring smile, her illustrious body; it all made him stiffen and lock up.

Looking away, Jeffery attempted to save face, while Vanessa giggled from behind. And those giggles, they bounced and bounded about within his ears; taunting the young man. He opened his mouth and gasped.. but he didn't say a word.

“So if you're here... does that mean you two are planning some family trip?” Vanessa asked with an eyebrow raised.

“I uhh... well...”

Cutting himself off, Jeffery thought about his plans to take Amanda out to a restaurant sometime soon. But now that he thought about it... what restaurant could he possibly go to? He usually took his wife to bars, but he wanted to do something more romantic than some simple downtown pub! It caused a blush to form on his cheeks, embarrassed that he couldn't do something as simple as this!

“I uh... I want to take Amanda out to a restaurant,” Jeffery explained, “Just her and I... I feel like I haven't been treating her well as of late, and I want to make that up to her!”

“Ufu! A night of passion from a beloved husband,” Vanessa announced as her face beamed in his direction, “It sounds so lovely, Mr. Miles! Do you mind me asking where you will be taking her?”

“I uh... I uhhhh... I... w-well...” his arms slumped over, “I don't... I don't really... I don't really know any good restaurants.”

“Oh? You don't? But you've been living in Document City for longer than I have, haven't you?” Vanessa asked, making him blush more, “When I moved in, your family was already here!”

“Well... yeaaaah... but I haven't really been paying much attention to stores around me...”

“Ufufufufu~! It's okay, Mr. Miles! Honestly... oh! I know...”

Smiling at him, Vanessa's hand slipped into her purse, rummaging about within it briefly before returning with a card in hand. It took her a few moments, but she eventually went 'ah-ha!' and pulled out a business card. Handing it to Jeffery, he cocked his head and lifted the card whilst reading it's surface.

It showed a building like any other, save for its surface which appeared to be black, and its architecture was Gothic, with red, stain-glass windows on it like some sort of church. It also had its name, being 'TARTARUS' written upon it in a style that Jeffery would describe as being Roman inspired. The card also shared its location, being somewhere on Moredredus Road... wherever that is. But aside from the building itself which looked vaguely church-like, Jeffery would say nothing about it was out of the ordinary.

“What... what is this place?” he asked with an eyebrow raised, before running his eyes along its name, “Tartarus...? Like... the land of the dead, Tartarus?”

“Ufufufu~! Quite perceptive of you, Mr. Miles!” Vanessa said as she clapped her hands together, “Tartarus is a restaurant. It sits on Mordredus Road within the heart of the city. If I may, I think its food is simply to die for! If you were to take your darling wife there, I'm sure you both will love it!”

“Hmm... well...”

Jeffery stopped, pacing himself as he glanced towards Vanessa with an eyebrow raised. She had a soft smile on her face, and those piercing green eyes kept his gaze trapped upon her and her alone. The soft fangs which extended form her maw, the tender fluttering of her wings, the way she gently twisted her umbrella one way and then the other. She had these flawless, skillful, sensual little movements. And each one kept him entranced, enthralled, magnetized.

There was only one thing that could take his mind away... only one person who could--

“DAAADDYYYY!!!”

“Huh!? What!?”

His gaze snapped away from Vanessa, looking into the direction of his son. He was on a merry-go-round, spinning faster and faster and faster thanks to a bunch of kids around it. Watching that wheel spin and spin and spin was enough to make Jeffery sick to his stomach, which meant he'd probably be cleaning up his son's barf in the near future.

Or more like...

“BLEEEUUUGHHH!!!”

“EEEEWWWWW!!!”

“Haaah... Junior...”

Getting up from the bench, Jeffery quickly rushed over to his son's side as the merry-go-round came to a halt. And, yup, a bunch of puke, aaaallll on his chest. What was even the point of having breakfast if it was just going to get on his chest like it was now? Ugh, this boy!

But when he turned his dazed son over, he found him giggling with this almost drunken smile on his face. And when that's looking at you, even as puke streams down his mouth, you just can't help but to smile.

“Welp... your mother's going to be angry with me. You ruined your sweater vest,” Jeffery said as he picked up his son, “Now then... huh...?”

His gaze cut back towards the bench where he was sitting at. And...

Vanessa was gone...

“Hggghhh! And we just got you this shirt!” Amanda growled.

“Heh heh... yeah... I knew you'd respond like that...”

There's just so much puke a wet paper towel can get rid of. Eventually, it's best just to cut one's losses and toss a fresh shirt into the cleaners, because it's already been ruined. Such is childhood, I'm afraid, especially when merry-go-rounds are involved.

Tossed into the washing machine went Junior's sweater vest, followed by a bunch of soaps and detergent that would hopefully get rid of both the stains and smell. Amanda's face was sharp and annoyed, while Jeffry stood behind at the doorway of their laundry room, chuckling as if someone told him an amusing joke. Clearly, his wife didn't agree.

“You should've known he was going to the merry-go-round!” Amanda snarled, “He's always rushing for it, and it always makes him puke! You'd know that if you actually went to the park more often with him!”

“Well, I, um... hmm...”

Cutting himself off, the first thing Jeffery thought about was Venessa. The mysterious bat sat next to him, and immediately dominated his peripheral view. It would be pretty bad if he told Amanda that he was paying more attention to their neighbor than he was their son. Speaking of which...

“Vanessa,” he muttered, changing the subject, “She came by while I was at the park. She thought I was your brother. Huh... guess you don't talk to me that often, huh?”

“You're never here for me to talk about you,” his wife replied, “So what's the big deal? Tch...” crossing her arms, she looked to the distance, “I bet you didn't even know she moved in, did you?”

“I uh... well...” Jeffery shrugged his shoulders, “You're not wrong. I... I didn't um...” then he shook his head, “How long has she been living here?”

“For three months now,” his wife answered, “She moved in after Mr. and Mrs. Taxon moved.”

“Mr. and Mrs... oh right...” he waved his hand, “The tigers who lived near us before.”

“They were bears,” Amanda corrected, “Not tigers. Hah... jeeze, stop trying to pretend you know what's going on around here, Jeffery. You can't even remember who our neighbors are anymore!”

“I... look, Amanda, I'm trying, okay? Jeeze, it's hard to both remember things from my job and remember who lives near us and what species they were!” Jeffery retorted, “I'm not forgetting things because I want to!”

“No, you forgetting things because you can't bother to remember them!” Amanda replied, “For God's sake, Mrs. Taxon used to babysit Junior when she was still around! I'm hiring the Salems' daughter to babysit him now!”

“The... the who?”

“God! Never fucking mind,” Amanda muttered as she pushed past him to stomp out of the room, “Look, I'm expecting a phone call from Anna. You do remember Anna, right?”

“Yes, I remember Anna,” he said abrasively, “She's one of your friends; I'm not that forgetful.”

“Uh-huh... riiight...”

And then Amanda slipped from view, much to Jeffery's chagrin. Standing there, his hand curled into a fist and he glared at the doorway, but he didn't give chase nor did he say anything. Instead he sat there, took a deep breath and counted down from ten.

But it didn't work; he still felt the pangs of anger and frustration in his chest. How was he supposed to make things better if Amanda was so fast to leave! He couldn't talk to her if she refused to listen! And that thought, that powerlessness of the situation, further caused his anger to build.

He needed... haaah... he needed some fresh air.

Leaving out of the laundry room, Jeffery exited onto the backdoor patio of his home. This beautiful patio as well, with an awning that could so perfectly keep the sun from one's face, and its various chairs and couches and tables, even that bar and grill section to the side; all of this he got with his hard work! But Amanda kept acting as if none of this mattered! Didn't she remember where they grew up? In some trailers! But this was somehow not good enough for her!

Dammit! The whole point of coming out here was to get some fresh air, but he ended up getting even angrier than he was before! Just breathe, Jeffery, just breathe! In... huuunn... out... haaaah... in... huuuunn... out... haaaah...

Again. And again.

And again.

“Haaaah... this is so... fuck...”

Well, he calmed down, but he still felt the smolders of anger. Maybe he should just give up on this whole idea of taking Amanda to a restaurant, but... no; he couldn't give up on that too! He wanted to sit down and talk to her; one-on-one with no interruptions. To right the wrongs he's made and help her understand why he works so hard. Together they could reach a middle ground; he knew they could!

If he could convince her to move with him to Document City, and could convince her to marry him in the first place, then they could fix this! Amanda is a lot of things, hardheaded is one of them, but he knows she loves him.

He knows this...

Sweeeen!

“Haaaah~! Such a lovely day for a dip!”

That voice... that voice it was near. That voice... it was familiar. That voice... it was--

“Vanessa...?”

Glancing to his right, Jeffery walked over towards his masonry fence. It was made of a white brick, and just tall enough to obscured one's vision of his neighbor. But there was a slab jutting from the wall, one large enough for him to stand on. And once he did, his arms leaned upon his fence's smooth surface, and his eyes cut out over towards his next door neighbor's backyard.

Vanessa had a grand pool in her backyard. Opulent and elegant, it had a Roman vibe to it with its pearly white stones and pillars, and a few vases sitting here and there. It wasn't so great that her home could be considered 'rich' or anything like that, but it was far better than what most had in Jade Heights, and it further added to Vanessa's mysterious allure.

Who was she? And what did she do to afford all of this? But before he could even think about asking these question...

Vanessa walked over from the patio of her home, her back to him so that she could not see her accidental voyeur. Gone was her sundress, replaced with a towel that was hung around her neck to completely covering her back. Walking up to the lip of her pool, she stood with her back still to Jeffery, reached up to the tied knot of her towel, and--

“Fuaah...”

It dropped to her feet, pooling as her wings extended out, only to retract mere seconds later. Even before while at the park, Jeffery couldn't help but to ogle her magnetizing beauty. But now things were different. Now he could see damn near everything.

Vanessa was dressed in black and red one-piece bathing suit. A backless one-piece bathing suit. Now, you may think it's backless because she has wings, but this extended beyond mere wardrobe ergonomics. The plunging hole in her clothes came down to just the rim of her buttocks.

Her buttocks...

With only a thin bathing suit in the way to cover her body, Jeffery could see see every inch of Vanessa's incredible figure. From her smooth and slender shoulders, her tight and slim midsection, and alas her thick and plump ass. Her thin bat tail was even extended up, as if to offer him and everyone an endless view of her buttocks, and how amazing it was.

Her hands sliding down to her hips, Vanessa performed a wiggle of her hips, sensually shaking her buttocks in Jeffery's face. Was this purposeful? Or was this a joke? Did she know he was ogling her? If she did, then why hadn't she said anything? In fact? Why hadn't he--

“And one!”

Vanessa bent over, showing off a surprising level of limberness as she touched her toes from a standing position. In doing so, yes, her already full and plump posterior appeared even fuller, even plumper! The shape... it was like that of a peach! A peach that was constantly taunting him, teasing him, begging for him to just crawl over this wall and smack it!

And, fuck, did he want to do it. He so desperately, desperately wanted to do it!

But... no! What the!? Th-these weren't his thoughts! He'd never...! He'd...

He'd...

“Aaaannnndd... up!” Vanessa announced as she straightened back up, “Ufufufu~!”

Shame. Jeffery felt shameful. But that shame didn't actually stop him from looking away. He was magnetized, if not outright glued to her body, watching now as Vanessa placed her hands upon the back of her head.

And then she crouched down.

“Nmph!”

And then she stood back up straight.

“Haa!”

And then she crouched down.

“Nmph!”

And then she stood back up straight.

“Haa! Ufufufu~!”

Up and down, Vanessa performed squats upon the edge of her pool. Each movement was so refined, showing an incredible level of gymnastic and athletic skill. But it also further helped flaunt her illustrious and regal body. With her arms on her head like it was and her wings folded in, Jeffery could perfectly see the curvature of her breasts as she performed her squats. It may not be direct, but he could see them bounce up and down, perfectly in sync with her squatting motions. It was so amazing, so magnetizing, so enthralling, that Jeffery drank in every finite detail of her body. From the shape and plumpness of her ass, to her elegant and sensual back, to the bouncing breasts on her chest; everything on Vanessa's body deserved to be admired!

And it was then that he realized what he was doing... and how wrong it was. But he didn't stop staring at her, couldn't stop staring at her. It was like his body was under control, watching as Vanessa finally stopped performing her squats, just too-

“Fuaaah!”

And...

Splash!

She dove into her pool, completely submerging herself and vanishing from view. And then and only then did he gain enough willpower to stare away, where he fell down behind his fence and placed his back up against it.

Eyes wide, Jeffery could only feel confusion and shame with what he just did. He was a married man! He shouldn't be doing this! He shouldn't be ogling other woman so wantonly, so lustfully! And that's not even getting into how fucking creepy it is that he did so at all! Some may say he was marveling at Vanessa's undeniable beauty, and he most certainly was doing that... but he knew the reality. He was just perving on her. It put a nasty taste in his mouth.

“Fuck what is wrong with me?” he groaned as he stood up, “I need to... I need to... fuck... I just need to take a shower...”

And with that, he made way for his home... just in time to miss the sound of the water breaking.

Vanessa swam to the surface of her pool, where she laid her arms upon its rim. There she sat momentarily, her hand streaking through her luscious red hair, while her green eyes glanced in the direction where Jeffery once stood.

A sensual smile spread out upon her lips.

Tartarus. Such an ominous name for a supposedly high class restaurant. Even more ominous? How he could find almost nothing about the place when he looked it up online. No reviews, no photographs, not even a few miscellaneous blogposts from, like, 2003; just a whole lot of nothing!

But when he looked at the card currently sitting in his hand, it all felt so legit. He's a businessman, remember? He knows a thing or two about high quality business cards. And this business card? Oooooh, it was so fine, it could cut his fingers!

Besides... a romantic evening with his wife at a mysterious restaurant? It sounds so striking! So enthralling! And if there's one thing Jeffery loves, it's a good mystery! Kind of like Vanessa. She was a mystery wrapped in an enigma! She was a...

Oh no, not again!”

Following his time at the park, Junior was passed out in his bed, unconscious after having expelled so much energy. It left Jeffery with quite a lot of time on his hands as he casually scanned the business card in his hand, wondering how he was going to spring the question on his wife. She's been rather abrasive all throughout the morning, so it would be a bit difficult for him to have a conversation with her. But, hey, he wouldn't even be married to her in the first place if he was afraid of her sharp attitude!

He just needed to talk to her, just needed to--

“Yeah! Totally! You can bring Luna along too, I'm sure she'd love to come too!” Amanda's voice rang, “Uh-huh! Yup! Uh-huh! Oh, he's here. I think he's off for today, but I'm pretty sure he'll be at work on Sunday. He's always working. Uh-huh. Yeah. 'Kay, talk to ya later!”

Drawing his head up from the couch, Jeffery leered into the direction of his home's stairs, where he saw his wife descend. It was still pretty early in the day and they weren't planning on doing anything, so she was wearing only a t-shirt and some pants. And as she held her phone in hand, her face was momentarily a glow... only to dimmer as her eyes befell her husband.

“Hey, Mandy,” Jeffery said as he leaned up on is couch.

“Hey... move over,” she said as she approached the couch, lying on it once he made an open space for her.

The TV was off, but reaching for the remote, Amanda turned it on, putting... well, some random movie on; Jeffery wasn't paying attention. She was watching it idly, not really paying attention herself, though growing more and more comfortable as time went on. And then she leaned over, resting against her husband as her head laid on his chest. Amanda was so much smaller than he was, skinnier too. When she laid upon him, he clutched her in close and sighed.

This closeness... he missed this closeness.

Bzzzz!

And it was immediately ruined.

“Hnnnghh...!”

Growling, Amanda pulled her head off of Jeffery's chest, and her eyes peered into his. Face annoyed, he could see the growing frustration brimming beneath her gaze, though when she spoke it was with an odd calmness to it.

“Is it your job?” she asked.

Jeffery was hesitant, but curiosity won out, and he reached for his phone in his pocket. Pulling I out, he ran his eyes along its screen, seeing that, yes, unfortunately it was his job. He didn't even need to speak; Amanda could read his face like a book. In return, she puffed her cheeks in annoyance... only to sigh and just let it be.

“Go on...” she muttered as she pulled fully off of his body, allowing him to sand up.

“I-I promise, I'll be back in a moment...” Jeffery said, though Amanda clearly didn't seem to agree.

“Whatever...” she muttered whilst glancing away.

Sighing in defeat, Jeffery got to his feet and quickly scurried of, heading once again to his backdoor patio as he held his phone in one hand... and the business card of Tartarus in the other. While his phone continued buzzing, he eyed the business card, while his mind thought back to Amanda's face. She was clearly angered by his sudden call, but she didn't explode into a scathing remark. She just sorta... accepted it. And knowing Amanda, hah... that's not good. That's not good at all.

He needed to do something. He needed to be spontaneous! And he knew exactly how to do it! He was going to make reservations at this mysterious restaurant, and he'd promise he would allow his job to have less sway over his life!

But first... this phone call may actually be important!

Click!

“Hello, Welcome to Tartarus on Mordredus Road, this is Kawase speaking!”

“Oh! Umm... F-Fenrir... right... uh...”

It was later that day – around eight in fact. Dinner was over, Amanda was taking a shower, and Junior had been put to bed, leaving Jeffery to sit alone within his kitchen after washing the dishes. And with this time alone, he used it to finally call the restaurant Vanessa promoted.

He wanted this to be a surprise. He wanted this to be a surprise! Amanda would love him for it!

“Yes, right. This is Jeffery, Jeffery Miles,” he said as he pressed his ear up to the phone, “I was told about your restaurant from a neighbor of mine. She spoke highly of it.”

“Kee-hee! I hope she did!” replied the woman on the other end, her voice young and peppy, “I'll have you know that Tartarus has the backing of family Mordredus! It has the greatest meals this side o the country, if not in the entire world!”

'Family Mordredus'? Who the hell was that? And... wasn't Mordredus the name of the street this restaurant was supposedly located at? Huh... well... maybe he was thinking too hard on it; perhaps this family Mordredus sponsored the road and that's how it got its name. Regardless...

“I was wondering if it's possible for me to make a reservation? For two?”

“Kee-hee! And when would you like to make this reservation?” this Kawase asked.

“For tomorrow, perhaps? Sunday!”

“Kee-hee-hee! Weeeeeeelll... it may be a bit difficult but... I think we can make it work!” she replied, “Miles, party of two?”

“Yes! Miles, party of two!” he repeated, “If you do have an opening... what time?”

“Hmmm... we have an opening at... 8PM.”

“8PM!? That's perfect!” Jeffery said as he hopped up, before quickly calming down with an, “Ahem... I mean... that's great, thank you, Kawase!”

“Should I... jot it down?”

“I... hmm...”

Jeffery stopped and his eyes closed, while his face took on a more thoughtful expression. It would be rather sudden, and he'd need to hire a babysitter quickly to look after Jeffery. But... well, isn't passion born from the moment? It would be sudden, yes! It would be sudden, and impromptu, and surprising! But also it would be passionate, spontaneous, and romantic, and it would show just how... just how...

Haaah...

Just how desperate Jeffery was to make things right. Sure, this ship wasn't sinking, but it was going through some unsteady waters. He wanted to make Amanda know that, no matter what, he still and always will love her.

Always...

“Mr. Miles?”

“Oh! Yes! Um... heh... sorry, I got a bit lost in thought there,” he muttered before straightening up, “Yes, Kawase, I'd like you to reserve a spot for Miles, party of two at Tartarus.”

“Kee-hee-hee! Right away, Mr. Miles! Right A-Way!”

He could hear her writing on the other end, jotting down notes with a pen and paper. Every stroke made his heart race, while excitement and trepidation both funneled through him. He couldn't wait to share this with Amanda; he could already imagine the look on her face!

“Ooooo-kaaaaay, Mr. Miles! I have you reserved for tomorrow at 8PM! I hope you and your wife have a lovely evening!”

“Oh! Yes! Thanks! I... w-wait... how did--”

Click!

“Huh? H-hello? Hello!? Hmm...”

Pulling back his phone, Jeffery looked at it with an eyebrow raised, confused. How did this woman know he was going there with his wife? He hadn't mentioned Amanda... had he? Huh... maybe it was just a lucky guess. Regardless, these thoughts were cut off when--

“What? Was that enough call from your job?”

Amanda's voice rang in his ear.

Placing his phone upon the island counter, Jeffery turned to face her wife. She stood in the kitchen doorway, having just finished showering, and wearing only one of his button up shirts. But that pouting, abrasive face of hers was strong.

“I uh... heh... n-no...” Jeffery said as he smiled at his wife, “I just got done talking to... someone else.”

“Hmm... and...” she approached him slowly, “Who was that someone else?”

“It was... uhhh..”

Crossing her arms, Amanda shot him one of those glares that was impossible for him to say 'no' to. That spunky, pouting, annoyed look of hers; oh boy did he love that look. It made his heart race, and he knew he couldn't escape her for long. So he--

“I reserved a spot at a restaurant!” Jeffery blurted out, his mouth spreading out into a wide, stupid smile.

Naturally, Amanda was taken aback if not outright confused.

“You... what?”

“I reserved a spot at a restaurant for tomorrow!” he repeated as he placed his hands on her shoulders, gripping her, “Mandy... look, I know things aren't looking good right now. I've... I've been at work a lot, and I'm sorry! I'm really, really sorry for that! So... so I reserved a spot at a restaurant called Tartarus! V-Vanessa even told me about it! I want to...” his hands moved down to her hands, grabbing and clutching them together, “I want to just... have a romantic evening with you. Just the two of us. We can hire that babysitter you usually get to look after Junior and just... haah... just have time for the both of us. Talk and... you know... right?”

He looked so soft, so happy, yet so desperate. So very, very, very desperate to do this. And Amanda? She could only look at him like he was screaming bloody murder!

“What!? No, Jeffery, I can't go!” she said as she pulled her hands from his hands, taking him back, “D-dammit! I knew you weren't listening! I've told you this a dozen times, but you were always busy! I even texted you this, but you didn't read it, did you!?”

“Wh-what!? What are you talking about!?” he asked as he stepped back.

“Rrrrgghh! Jeffery Mason Miles! I have... oooohh my fucking God! Jeffery, all this month and even last month, I've been telling you that my friend Anna's baby shower is coming up soon!”

“Wh-what!? Anna's pregnant!?” he replied, making his wife slam down her foot.

“YES! ANNA'S FUCKING PREGNANT! SHE'S BEEN PREGNANT FOR THE PAST EIGHT MONTHS, YOU IDIOT! THAT'S WHY WE'RE HOLDING HER FUCKING BABY SHOWER!!!” Amanda shouted, jostling him in place, “Haaaah! Fuck! I mean... hnnnghh!” then she placed her hand upon her head, trying to calm herself down, “We... hooooh... we have been planning this baby shower for a while now; our friends and I. And I've been telling you this for a while now! But clearly, you couldn't be bothered to remember that!”

“It's... it's tomorrow?” he asked, his face becoming lost.

“Yes... it is tomorrow, Jeffery,” his wife answered before taking a deep breath, “And no.. I am not canceling. Haaah... I've told you about this for a month or two now, and Anna's a close friend of mine. She was the only person who befriended me when we moved here, remember? And a lot of the time when you're at work, she hangs out with me. I'm not bailing on the baby shower.”

“I... I uh... I... haaahh...”

Bending over, Jeffery could do nothing but face palm himself. Was he really so absorbed with his work that he forgot something as important as Anna's baby shower? How had he not heard that Anna was even pregnant until now? No, that's not true; Amanda no doubt told him before, but he just forgot. Foolishly.

Ignorantly...

“Haaaah... look, Mandy... I'm... hnn... I'm sorry...” he muttered weakly, though his wife shook her head.

“Haaah... dammit, Jeffery... haah... look, I know you are working hard, but you can't keep this up!” she snarled whilst turning away, her hand clutching at her stomach, “Koff koff! Haaah! You're so busy with your work, you aren't paying attention to anything else! Haaaahh...! Just... just cancel the reservation, Jeffery... we'll talk about this after Sunday. Assuming you even remember...”

And then Amanda left, heading up to a bed that would no doubt be rather cold on his end. And Jeffery? He just stood there, in shear disbelief with himself. How could he be so stupid, so ignorant? He tried being romantic and spontaneous, but he only ended up making things worse by further proving how little attention he payed when working.

It made him feel ashamed of himself... and rightfully so...

“I'm sorry Amanda... I really am...” he muttered.

He took a step for the exit to the kitchen as he looked at the stairs, but he almost immediately stopped himself from going to bed. Instead Jeffery made way for the back door of his home, needing to cool off after the exchange.

Now as he stood beneath the cool night sky, he felt no anger towards Amanda, and instead towards himself. Again and again, he shocked himself with how painfully naive he was to his wife and child, especially for something like this. He just wanted to have a romantic evening with Amanda, but now he was pulling out his phone not even six minutes after getting done with it. Guess he'd just need to cancel that reservation and... and...

Hmm... where was that light coming from?

Looking over to his right, Jeffery found his eyes once again attracted to the home next door... Vanessa's home. The light in her bedroom was glowing, beaming through the wide panoramic windows she owned. Though the curtains were covered, he could see her shadow looming on the other end.

Her naked figure.

Wings were folded in, while she casually slipped upon her form a robe of some sort. It draped sensually upon her frame, clinging close yet hanging loose like some sort of curtain. His mouth slackening, Jeffery gazed at her form with wide eyes... before the the lights suddenly clicked out.

Oh no... he was doing it again, wasn't he? Ogling and watching and staring and gazing and, and...

The silhouette of Vanessa's form could be seen walking through the various lit up rooms of her home. First heading downstairs, then coming to the main living room of her home. What was she doing? Where was she going? Ah, his answer to both came when she came out to the backdoor of her home once again.

“Aaaah... such a lovely night,” he could hear Vanessa exclaim, though with his fence in the way he could not see her.

Looking down, Jeffery's eyes once again fell upon the ledge on his side of the fence; the one he used to position himself upon when Vanessa was swimming. Curious as to what his neighbor was doing, and with the ignorant courage to see, he walked over to that tiny ledge and mounted it. Then his eyes cut over, gazing into his neighbor's backyard.

Vanessa could be seen, her back to him as she stood near her pool. Both arms were crossed beneath her bosom, but in one hand sat an elegant wine glass filled with a red liquid. As she looked up to the stars overhead, Vanessa casually took sip after sip of her drink... while Jeffery continued his shameless ogling.

On her shoulders laid a red and white bathrobe, one with an open back so that her wings could move freely. Right now they were closed in, allowing him to once more view her illustrious figure to his own desires. Her slender shoulders, her thin waist, her wide hips and peachy buttocks; why was Vanessa so damn irresistible? His arms gently scratching the surface of his fence, Jeffery let out an involuntary--

“Aaah...”

He almost immediately regretted it.

“Hm?”

Vanessa's ears twitched, causing his face to pale and his eyes to grow wide. Then she turned around, dropping her eyes upon Jeffery in the distance. He looked back, his jaw still slack, before he dropped down to hide himself behind his fence. But it was too late.

“Mr. Miles, is that you?” Vanessa called, “Jeffery? Jeeeffeerrrryyy!”

“Um... y-yeah...?” he answered whilst straightening up, though his back remained close to the wall.

“Ufu~! It was you,” said his neighbor as she slowly began approaching the fence separating them, “Well come up! I'm not going to talk to a wall all day.”

“I uh... I... umm...”

Closing his eyes, he groaned in disappointment with himself, though he ultimately did as asked. Standing up, he once again positioned himself on the opposing side of the fence, allowing him to gaze over towards Vanessa. Immediately his eyes met the green eyes of his neighbor, who had posted herself on a protrusion on her side.

They were face to face, with only a few inches of stone and masonry to separate them. Jeffery was a bit despondent, but Vanessa's face was vivacious and seductive. The curl of her lips, the glint in her green eyes, even the way her wings slightly fluttered; she was impossible to look away from.

And then there was her body.

She was leaned over upon the fence in a way that caused her pronounced chest to seem even more full. They were pressed upon the surface of the fence, and with her body covered only in a bathrobe, the cleavage of her breasts were magnificent. Just a slight tug one way, or a movement the other, and he'd be able to see her chest in full.

It made Jeffery stiffen up.

“Haaah... Vanessa...” he said as a blush appeared on his face and his teeth grew clenched.

“Ufu... you look a bit distant, Jeffery,” the chiropteran said, her expression growing more concerned, “Is something the matter?”

“I... I uh... hah...” he palmed his face before shaking his head, “I want to thank you for offering that restaurant, Tartarus. I was able to get a reservation on such short notice, for tomorrow in fact, but... I can't actually go eat there.”

“Hm? Why is that?”

“Haaah... my wife's going to a baby shower tomorrow,” he stated, “She told me about it, but I forgot and... we can't go.”

“Hmm... that baby shower was tomorrow? Oh...” shaking her head, Vanessa gave him a mournful look, “Apologies, Jeffery. I forgot too; I would have been able to warn you.”

“No, you shouldn't take any blame; it was all on me,” he stated with another shake of his head, “I should... hmmnn... I should be listening to Amanda more often... I'm such a bad... such a bad husband.”

“Hnmm! Don't say that!” Vanessa said reassuringly, “Remember what I said at the park? Sure, things are bad now but... give it some time! Amanda knows how important working is for you, and she's grateful for all the things you've done; both her and Junior, I'm sure of it!”

“I know but... hah... it's hard to feel that way when I keep messing things up,” he said regretfully, “Amanda's the type of person who would never let me live something down like this and... really, she has a point. I keep speeding through conversations with her on the phone, I keep forgetting things if not outright ignoring it! I... I... man... I really am a bad husband...”

“Hey... Jeffery... look over here...”

He did so, gazing over the stone wall towards Vanessa. Her vivacious smile had faded, replaced with something more emotional, something more passionate. She smiled at him, her ears twitched and her wings fluttered, while she reached her hand towards him from over the wall. Getting the gesture, Jeffery too reached back, his hand touching hers so she could clinch it.

“Jeffery Miles... you are not a bad husband,” Vanessa said with this firmness in her voice that jolted him, “You wake up early in the morning to be first at work, and are often times last to come home, if you do come home at all! You make sure your wife and son are well fed and clothed, have a lovely home, far lovelier than what most can say, and while you could perhaps do to come home more often, it is born from a place of love. And in my book, loving your family too much is more than good enough to be considered a great husband!”

She said it with such conviction, such strength. This wasn't just her trying to reassure him, this was her being completely honest. And hearing it, hearing her be so comforting to him, it made Jeffery feel so good.

Ironic. He so desperately wanted to be strong, so desperately wanted this companionship from his wife, but all Amanda could do was be angry and rude and scathing. For just a moment he wanted to sit here and talk with her... but sitting here and talking with Vanessa? That felt nice to.

It felt good.

“Tell me, Jeffery, did you cancel your reservations at Tartarus?” she asked, making him shake his head as he clinched upon her hand.

“No, not yet,” he answered, “I was about to when I saw you. Why do you ask?”

“Ufu~! Well, it is incredibly difficult for one to get a reservation at Tartarus,” Vanessa replied, “Some people have to call in months in advance if they want even a shot at getting a reservation! For you to get one so quick.. why, it's almost unheard of! To cancel such a thing would be madness, I say!”

“Weeeell... what are you getting at?”

“Ufu~! You're a bit thick, aren't you? What I'm trying to say is...” her thumb rubbed along the back of his hand, “Amanda's going to that baby shower, and sh'es going to take Junior. Why don't we enjoy that spot at club Tartarus together? You and I?”

“Wh... what?”

Vanessa's eyes began to glow, he wings flapped, and she gave a fang-flashing smile. All of this served to attract him to her body, getting lost in her face and figure. Vanessa was so mesmerizing, so enthralling, yet so mysterious. She knew so much about him already, yet he knew almost nothing about her. And while on one hand it would be odd to go to a supposedly romantic restaurant with a woman who was not his wife, his desire to know more about Vanessa began to dominate his mind.

Who was she? Where did she come from? Where was she going? A little one-on-one with her would be good. And if he was going to be alone for the majority of tomorrow while his wife hung out with her friends, then why not spend some of that time with someone else?

He almost immediately replied with--

“Sure...”

And his eyes widened, while his heart began racing. But it was too late to turn back now and... honestly? He didn't want to! Something about this felt thrilling, and in that thrill which made his heart race, he found a particular joy.

Just him and Vanessa on a strictly platonic date. It wouldn't be too bad, right?

“Great! Ufu~! It's been so long since I've been to Tartarus! I assure you, Jeffery, you'll love it!” Vanessa said as she pulled her hand away, “Ooooooh~! I'm so excited! When should I come over?”

“Um... r-right! Uh... the reservation was at 8PM,” Jeffery answered, drawing more excited igggles from Vanessa's lips.

“Perfect! 8PM! A lovely night for two at Tartarus. I couldn't imagine a better time!” she exclaimed, “I'll be here around seven, it shouldn't take us that much longer to get down to Mordredus Road. We'll be right on time!”

“Seven o'clock? Y-yeah... perfect!”

“Ufu~! And Jeffery...”

“Yeah...?”

She reached across the wall, her hand resting upon his face and cheek. And then she stroked him, allowing Jeffery to feel her slender and immaculate fingers as they stroked upon him.

“Thank you...”

“Alright, c'mon Junior!”

“I'm coming, Mommy!”

6:43PM. By now, the sun was starting to set, causing the once blue skies to start turning redder and redder. Soon, the night sky would be in full swing, with the ever encroaching darkness coming closer and closer.

And right here at the entrance to their home, Amanda and her son were getting ready as they pulled their jackets upon their forms. It was a sweet moment to be staring at them from afar, watching as Amanda gently stroked her hand along Junior's cheek.

He really loved them both.

And its strange how he felt being here only a few feet away. Jeffery watched them, wearing one of his sweater vests and ties, wanting to join in with them... but knowing he cna't.

Knowing...

“Daddy!” Junior called as he faced him, “Aren't you coming?”

“Heh... I'd love to but... uh... baby showers aren't really a thing for the husbands,” Jeffery claimed as he shook his head, “It's usually for mothers and women, heh... besides... I don't want to be there and mess with things if I get a call from my job.”

“Sounds like it'll happen,” Amanda said in a snarky manner, “Buuuuuuut... you know your father. He has to keep providing for us so...” she cocked her head towards the door, “Let's get going! It'll be a bit of a drive there, Junior.”

“Coming!”

“Uh... hey... have fun you two,” Jeffery said as he waved at them.

“Mm-hm... you too,” Amanda said before nudging her son, “Alright. Say goodbye to Daddy, Junior.”

“Bye Daaaddyyyy!!!”

As he waved farewell, he was picked up by her mother, who led him out of their home. And Jeffery just stood there, idly smiling and waving before approaching the window near his door. Gazing out of it, he watched as Amanda strapped Junior into their car, made sure he was snugly fit, and then got into the driver seat herself. And a few moments later, they were driving off, with Jeffery retreating.

He had his own little meeting, didn't he? And it was coming soon.

Sitting there on his couch, Jeffery felt his heart begin to race. Why is that? Why was he so excited? He was just going on a platonic date with Vanessa! There was nothing romantic about it; it was just platonic! The two of them, sitting there, talking with one another. Just him and a woman who wasn't his wife.

A beautiful, sexy, and vivacious woman.

Who is Vanessa? Who is this woman who lives next door to them? And why is she so incredibly alluring? From her piercing green eyes that glow and penetrate, to her luscious tan fur which seems to shimmer in the light, and that long and vibrant scarlet hair which flows and flows and flows, everything about her is amazing!

And that's not even getting into her body.

The glimpses he's had of it continue to dominate and overwhelm his mind. Her busty breasts, her peach posterior, her slim waist; and everything in between. She was so fit in all the right ways, and so thicc in all the others. Slender shoulders yet wide hip; buxom chest yet tight midsection. All together, it gave her a curvaceous and erotic form that he's seen only on super models, and even that's stretching it. So, once again, he had to ask...

Who is Vanessa?

Tonight, he'd get those answers.

Ding-Dong!

“C-coming!”

Excitement once again began funneling through Jeffery, who launched up to his feet as he began rushing for the door of his home.

And then he stopped.

Something here felt... off, but he couldn't really explain why. He felt something nagging at his neck, begging him not to open the door. It screamed at him, pulled at him, bu he did not know why. It just wanted him to stop before things went on, because it – whatever it was – knew that things would only get worse.

Was that his conscience at play?

“Ufufufu~! Jeffery! Are you there?”

But her voice... it was silky and smooth... sugary and sweet... gold like honey. Hearing it, Jeffery stiffened in place and reached for the door knob.

The voices he heard stopped.

With a 'Click!' and a 'Twist...' the door opened up...

“There you are, Jeffery.”

And it revealed her.

Vanessa De'Atore.

They were just going to a restaurant, right? Then why did the bat feel the need to look so... amazing? Her body was covered in a slim and tight garnet, one that hung close to her body in every way. It was black in color, with gentle red lines running along its surface, particularly on its sides. Down at her hips, the dress split open, allowing one to gaze upon her legs and thighs beneath, and even a slight glimpse of her panties. There were no sleeves, but she did have detached sleeves that came down to her hands, which means her shoulders were on full display for all. And with the way her dress clung so close, that's not all which was being flaunted.

He knew Vanessa's figure was amazing, but damn, being here in front of her with such a slim garment on seemed to enhance her already flawless physique. Her narrow waist, her buxom chest, her wide hips; she was too damn perfect!

And here Jeffery was in his slacks, sweater vest and tie combo; completely shown up by what his neighbor wore. A bit uneven, isn't it?

“Um... uh... wh-whoa...” he muttered, to which Vanessa giggled.

“Ufufufufu~! No need to stare so hard, Jeffery! We're only going to eat together, right?” she asked as she drew her gloved hand up to stroke upon his chin.

“Ummm... uh... gulp... r-right! Heh... sorry. It's just uh... well... heh... guess there's no way to put. You look amazing, Vanessa.”

“Ufufufufu~ Don't I?” she asked before turning around.

Resting one hand along her shoulders and above her wings, the bat allowed Jeffery to drink in every inch of her flawless physique. The sensual shape of her back as it dipped down straight towards her posterior, could not be denied nor could it be looked away from. For the second time, Jeffery's mouth hung open and his eyes were wide, astonished by the immaculate body he had displayed before him right now.

He just...

“Wow... oooh! Ooof... I... I did it again... hnm... sorry,” he muttered, making Vanessa giggle.

“No need to apologize; I have that affect on people. Now then,” she stepped aside as she faced him, “Shall we make way for Tartarus?”

“Yeah... yes... let's go...”

Jeffery stepped forward, but then he stopped and looked at Vanessa. She looked back, smiling at him as she raised her hand up. He got the hint, and grabbed her hand into his. Together they walked for his car.

Hand in hand.

Driving through the streets with a beautiful woman like her... when's the last time Jeffery's experience something like this?

The Miles Family had two cars. One was a minivan they bought shortly after Junior was born. Hey, with a growing family, you need a family car! It may not b the most stylish vehicle imaginable, but boy did it get the job done when one is taking groceries into account!

But the first car they bought – the one Jeffery brought first when he got his new job – was a Porsche. He loves his Porsches. Such elegant cars with their sleek yet smooth feature. Round in all the right areas, straight in all others, and ultimately so very, very curvy. The perfect cars he's always felt, and none were as amazing as a Porsche 911. So that hot Summer day when he had his pocket burning with money – his first pay check at his new job – he knew he'd have to have the first 911 he saw. And when he saw it? Oh, he bought it, right there on the spot!

He and Amanda together drove away on that parking lot together, the hood down, the wind blowing through their hair, and these smiles of glee on their faces. Absolute perfection!

But now, this silver car had another rider with him. A woman, one many would argue was even more beautiful than his beloved wife. A woman who attracted eyes from all around. A woman whose long red hair billowed in the wind as they drove through the streets. A woman who gave him such vivacious and alluring smiles.

A woman who made him feel strong again.

It was nearing eight as they came to their destination; Mordredus Road.

At this time of night, the street lights were beginning to come to life. Tonight however, in this part of the city, things were different. It was dark here, with the only light coming from the moon bove, and whatever windows had their lights on in the buildings around. There was a motel across the road from them, which was the only other source of light with its one looming lamp post. But aside from that?

Nothing.

Well, that's not completely true; there was some light. Red light. It came beaming out of the building before them, this structure with a Gothic architecture that made it look like a church seeped in black ink. Its stone surface was immaculate, carved not by machines, but seemed to have been hand-made by a sculptor. And with its stain-glass windows which bore the images of flowers and dragons, the building gave off an ethereal vibe.

Just... what was this place?

“Ufufufu~! Here we are!” Vanessa announced as she tapped Jeffery's shoulder, “Tartarus!”

“This... this is Tartarus?” he replied as he parked his car in a nearby parking lot, “Huh... it's all the way out here...?”

“Ufufufufu~! Is that a problem, Jeffery?” she shook her head, “Don't be scared, look...” and then she pointed at the cars around them, “This place is on the up and up!”

Following along with her finger, Jeffery looked around to the parking lot they were in, his eyes befalling a collection of other high-end cars around them. If this place was in a bad part of the city, it didn't seem like much other people were bothered by this! He could only rub the back of his head, before finally settling in as his eyes returned to the building before him.

Tartarus. With a name as imposing and as powerful as that, it certainly oozed a sinister atmosphere. From its church-like exterior, to its red windows, and the general silence around them; everything about this place seemed to set warning flags off in his head.

But then he'd look over towards Vanessa and feel her clinching hand. Her every touch soothed him, relaxed him, assuaged any fears he may have been feeling. So he nodded and pulled up the hood of his car, before turning it off completely.

Vanessa's eyes... those strong, green, amazing eyes...

Once his car was off, Jeffery got out and walked over to her side of the car, opening it up like a true gentleman. She thanked him as she extended her hand, holding upon his as he pulled her upon her feet.

“It's been so long since I've ridden in this car with someone else,” Jeffery claimed, “I'm usually alone. I can't go on dates with Amanda as much as I used to with my work and with Junior. So... yeah... um...” he smiled at her, “Thank you for that, Vanessa.”

“Oh Jeffery, you don't need to thank me... but I am happy I was able to make you feel better,” then she gestured with her head towards the front door of the restaurant, “Let's go.”

“Right...”

Hand in hand once again, Vanessa led Jeffery up to the front gates of Tartarus, where she pushed open its doors ever so slowly, revealing a dark lobby on the other end. Some lights were one, purple in color, which were just enough to see inside. Floors were lined in velvet, walls were drenched in an opulent décor, and there was this elegant air flowing about. Walking in, Jeffery gasped in awe of what he saw, absolutely mesmerized.

“Good Evening,” a voice rang, drawing his gaze forward.

Sitting at the receptionist table was a human girl, though her ears appeared to be a longer than what was typical on a human. She was blonde, and her blue eyes appeared tired and sullen, if not a bit annoyed. Fiddling with what he assumed was the guests list, she looked up towards the two whilst readying a pen in her hand... only for her eyes to brighten up immediately.

“Vanessa?” she called, to which the bat giggled whilst approaching her.

“Good evening, Lysia. How is work today?” she asked back as the sharply-dressed blonde straightened up.

“Same as usual. Though...” her eyes then cut past Vanessa to peer at Jeffery, “Who is he? A date?

“Ufu... more or less,” replied the bat before she turned to face him, “Jeffery! Come on, you reserved a spot, right?”

“Yes... I did...” he answered as he stepped forward, “Um... do you come here often, Vanessa?”

“Ufu~! You can say that, I suppose. I once worked here which is why I know about this place,” the bat replied, before drawing her eyes back to the woman at the receptionist table, “Now then... let's not dally any further.”

“Riiiiiight... so... you have a reservation, Mr...?” asked the receptionist, to which Jeffery quickly replied with--

“Miles! Miles, Party of two.”

“Miles... Miles... Miiiiiilllleeeeesss... oh! Okay!” her eyes drew up, her once drowsy face being replaced with a wide, grinning smile, “Welcome to Tartarus, Mr. Miles and Mrs. Miles!”

“Wh-what? 'Missus?' No, Vanessa's not my--”

Grrrrrrrrrnnnn!

Jeffery's defense was cut of short when doors to the right of the receptionist counter suddenly opened up, revealing a lush red hall of velvet floors, white walls, golden seams, and glowing lights. Arms crossing beneath her bust, Vanessa smiled down the hall, before shifting her gaze to meet Jeffery's. Astonished by the hall before him, he gave up on trying to dismiss the notion that Vanessa was his wife. Especially when the bat in question gripped his arm, pulling him down the hall.

The doors closed shut behind him.

Deeper and deeper they walked down the hall, coming to another pair of doors on the opposing end. Vanessa, staring up to Jeffery with a smile on her face, pushed open the doors, leading into a wide open area. On two different stories, there were tables and chairs that were dripping with an elegant, refined, and ethereal design, all of which matching with the Gothic design of the architecture around them. And at each and every table there sat someone of the high society, especially when going by their elegant clothes and designer outfits. No wonder Vanessa put on something so dazzling.

“Mr. and Mrs. Miles?” called a waitress who approached them.

“Huh?”

She was a short little thing; a wolf of some sort, though Jeffery couldn't really tell. What he did notice was the uniform of the workers here, with it all being so sharp. They were all wearing suits. Black and purple suits! In fact, outside of the glowing whites and golds, black and purple seemed to be the other dominate color here. He could see it on the windows, noticed it on the chandeliers, and of course the lobby outside.

Hmm...

“Yes, we're Mr. and Mrs. Miles,” said Vanessa to the waitress, who smiled in their direction.

“Okay! Follow me!” she said whilst starting to lead them on.

With another tug, Vanessa began leading Jeffery on, though he stared at her in a slightly incredulous manner.

“Vanessa,” he said, “Why'd you say that?”

“What? The 'Mr. and Mrs.' thing?” she asked whilst staring at him ,”Ufu~! Miles party of two; that's the reservation, correct? There's no need to make this awkward! We may as well just enjoy it! Besides...” she stroked her hand along his face, sensually guiding his gaze in towards her green eyes, “We don't have to make this anything more between us. Let's just enjoy ourselves. Ufu...”

“Nmm...”

There's something about Vanessa that's just hard, if not outright impossible, to say 'no' to. Her looks compel and control, if not outright dominate. And Jeffery...

He went along with it.

“Okay...”

“Ufufufu~!”

Together they followed along their waitress, who guided them to their own little table near a window and a balcony, which allowed them to view both the city lights outside, and the stage upon which a band played smooth jazz.

It was a truly romantic spot on all sides, one he'd love to share with Amanda... but instead he was here with Vanessa. But in spite of those thoughts, he didn't feel as bad as he thought he would. He didn't feel upset, or sad, or mournful, no... he felt good.

And how could he not feel good when such a vibrant, vivacious, sexy, sensual, and beautiful bat was sitting across from him at this table? The way she looked, the glow in her eyes, the smile on her face; everything about Vanessa was infinitely magnetizing, endlessly enthralling. He was falling under a spell, and he wasn't quite sure if he wanted to escape it.

“I know I said this before, but you look amazing, Vanessa,” Jeffery said, to which she giggled.

“You're right; you did say it already. But I can stand to hear it more often! Ufufufu~!”

It didn't take long for them to square everything away with their waitress. Just drinks first of course; she'll come back to ask for their orders later. Upon being handed one of their amazing menus, Jeffery ran his eyes along its surface... before drawing his gaze back up to the smiling chiropteran who sat cross from him.

“Do you... have any offerings?” he asked, to which Vanessa giggled.

“As a vampire bat, I enjoy anything that's oozing red,” she answered, “Buuuuut, I still think Das Silber Steak is an amazing meal for one to have; well done or rare. Ufu~! Though...” she swiveled her hand around upon the table, “You don't need me to convince you what you should and shouldn't enjoy. Ufu~!”

“Aah... riiiiight...”

His eyes looked back down to the menu, running upon a wide variety of meals. It seemed as if Tartarus had meals from all over the world, going by the myriad of names. From Spanish to French, Italian to German, even Japanese and Korean; no country was spared, no matter how obscure.

“Wow... there's a lot...” Jeffery muttered.

“Mm-hmm! And our head chef can cook everything,” Vanessa claimed, drawing his eyes back up to her.

“You... that receptionist said you've worked here before,” Jeffery claimed, “Vanessa... um... if you don't mind me asking...” he cocked his head, “Just who are you?”

She opened her mouth to speak, only to grow silent as she cocked her head. Giggling again, Vanessa leaned over upon the table, allowing Jeffery to peer into the cleaving-sporting window in her gown.

“I'm your neighbor, Jeffery,” she answered, her cutesy response making him chuckle.

“R-right! Heh! My neighbor! Right... I feel so embarrassed not having known you until recently,” he responded as he scratched the back of his head sheepishly, “But... still... you... you worked here once? Do you still work here or do you work somewhere else?”

“Ufu~! I own my own little shop nearby,” she answered, “In fact, a lot of shops here are owned by people who are aware of the Mordredus Family. Some could consider it our... own litlte home away from home! Ufu~!”

“Mordredus Family... huh... they own all of this, huh? Why have I never heard of them before? I couldn't even find much about this place when I looked it up,” Jeffery stated.

“Oh... they're a private sort of people,” Vanessa claimed, “And really, you shouldn't let it bother you anyway. Ufu~! Focus on us, here and now! You were asking me who I am, right? Welll...” she looked around curiously, “Like I said, I own my own boutique near by. I specialize in women, but I can make guys like you look special too! Ufufufu~!”

“A boutique, huh...?” Jeffery muttered as he leaned in closer, “Well... with how you look, I'd trust your judgment.”

“Hmm? You would?” she cocked her head the other way “Why is that, Jeffery?”

“I mean... uh... l-look at you!” he said, “Your face... your hair... your eyes... your um... uh...” his body started getting hotter, “Your body...” his cheeks turned red, “I don't think I've ever met a woman as... amazing as you are.”

“Nmm...”

Why did he say that? Not the amazing part, not even the praise towards her hair and eyes. No, that part specifically about her body. Even thinking about it caused thoughts of her figure to infiltrate his mind. Her chest, her but, her figure. He's seen so much, and yet surprisingly so little. The bathing suit perfectly obscured portions of her body, her bathrobe did likewise, and even her gown right now. How would she look if she was naked? He questioned that. To see her tan form in the nude, to feel it, to explore it.

What...? Where were these thoughts coming from?

“You're pretty amazing yourself, Jeffery,” Vanessa said, her voice stirring and enthralling, “You... umnm... you're always working so hard, making sure that your family is okay. And you look so handsome as well...” she reached over, brushing her hand along his face and features, “Your short short black hair, your blue eyes, your tall height. Nmmm... I think most women would be lucky to have a guy like you.”

“Aah... I certainly don't feel that way,” he replied with a regretful shake of his head, “Amanda doesn't make me feel that. Hasn't made me feel that way in a long, long time.”

“Hmm... such a shame...” Vanessa said as her hand stroked down towards his chest, “If I had you... ufufufu... I'd always make you feel wanted. I'd always make you feel... strong.”

“I...”

His voice got caught up again, his heart racing. As he stared at Vanessa, he could hear those voices once again calling to him, beckoning to him. They begged, they pleaded, they outright screamed for him to stop this! To go back to his car and just end everything here!

But Vanessa guided her hand down to his hand, grabbing a hold of it much like they did last night at his fence. And when he felt those hands hold upon his hands, Jeffery felt a swelling of power.

He clinched her hand back.

He felt strong!

He knew when he felt strong!

He knew how he felt strong!

He knew why he felt strong!

He knew he felt strong!

And he loved it!

“Mmmfff!”

“Nnmmmmfff!”

A crashing of lips as her body pressed against his. She smelled good. No, she smelled better than good; she smelled perfect! The aroma! The fragrance! The sweetness! It sat on his nose, his taste buds, and got him more intoxicated than any alcohol could ever hope to do!

Whipping and lashing tongues. Ooooh fuck, her tongue was so long, so unique, so different from the mouth and tongue of his wife, and so much more skilled as well. The way she used it – stroking along his tongue, his teeth, his gums – she explored his maw in a way so new, so unique. He groaned against her, while his arm wrapped around her narrow waist, hugging her close.

Vanessa... she was unlike any women he'd ever known in his life. The way she sat on his lap as they fell into this bed, kissing and groaning and moaning against one another, she felt as light as a feather, but also as heavy as a boulder. She clung close back against him, arms wrapped around his shoulders, eyes closed shut, while their lips rumbled and smacked and slurped and licked against one another.

The shadows of night was draped upon their forms, the only other light coming from the moon as it peered through their window. Thank the heavens for the motel that was across the street from Tartarus; Jeffery wasn't sure if he had it in him to drive all the way home with his lusts unbound like this. If not for this place, they may have ended up stopping in some shady alleyway somewhere to get down to this dirty business.

Dirty business...

Thankfully, they had this motel, one that didn't trouble them too much with things like prices, nor did it take them long to get up to their room. It all became a whirlwind, one Jeffery didn't care much to think about. Why think about any of that shit when he felt more powerful now than he's ever done in his entire life?

“Mmmmff!”

“Mmmmm!”

Vanessa's powerful moans and his deeper ones were mixing together, while tongues slithered and swirled. Falling on the bed, Jeffery sank into its soft sheets, while the bat above him continued clinging close. Her wings fluttered, and her hands rested on his cheeks, framing his face with her own. And then she started pulling back, allowing her long, chiropteran tongue to come slithering out like a snake.

The spit which oozed down her tongue also poured into his mouth, causing him to swallow it as his eyes drank in her image. Drugged on Vanessa's body, he watched as the bat rose her hands up, putting them above her head. Her body was illuminated by the moonlight, showing she was in this powerful and bombastic pose. Her chest pushed, out wings extendd, her green eyes glowing as long red hair spilled endlessly from her head; Vanessa was the perfect woman.

And she had her eyes locked on him.

“Jeffery...” she whispered.

Her voice was stirring and arousing.

“Jeffery...”

He felt his heart thumping.

“Jeffeeerrrryyy...”

“Haaahh...”

Dropping one hand as she flaunted he fangs towards him in a wide grin, Vanessa began curling her finger in a 'come closer' moment.

“Come here, Jeffery,” she beckoned, “Take this dress off of me.”

He nodded.

Swallowing his spit, Jeffery reached up for Vanessa, his hands coming to her neck. Rapping around, he grabbed the hooks which kept up the collar of the bat's gown, where he undid them; one by one by one. With it no longer there to hold it up, the garment began falling down, only for Vanessa to stop it before her bodice could slip down fully.

The tease.

She knew what he wanted.

She knew what he needed.

And yet she taunted him for it, grinning like some sort of chesire cat. Growling himself, Jeffery reached out for Vanessa, his hands grabbing upon her wrists. It coaxed a gasp from her, but she did nothing to stop him, and with a slight pull--

“Aaahh...”

Her bodice fell.

And her breasts were revealed.

Such glorious, big, busty tits. Their shape was perfect, their size was perfect, the way her hard, pink nipples extended from them; he could look at Vanessa's breasts for hours.

And that's no exaggeration.

Magnetized by the chest on display before him, Jeffery reached his hands up, brushing aside fur with his fingers while his palms settled upon the glorious set of tits before him. And then he squeeeezed!

“Nnngggh... haaaah~!”

Moans flowed from the chiropteran's lips, and her head leaned back while eyes closed shut. As her gown pooled around her waist to flaunt more of her body, Jeffery further fell into the swirling pit of pleasure the bat was dragging him into. Her body was too immaculate, too amazing, and watching her rock and roll her body upon his hips made his heart race!

Vanessa too melted into the dripping ecstasy of the man beneath her. His fingers... they gripped and groped at her body in such a hungry, needy manner. When's the last time he's enjoyed himself in such a way. With so much work dominating his life, he probably needed this release. No, not 'probably'; he assuredly needed this release! And Vanessa grinned.

She would graciously bring about this release.

Reaching down, Vanessa grabbed his sweater vest and pulled it off of his body. Then she settled on his tie, yanking it loose and tossing it aside. With every article of clothing she removed, her taunting giggles filled the air, especially as she undid his shirt; button after button after button.

And once the last one was undone, Vanessa pulled open his shirt so that her green eyes could gaze upon his body beneath.

“Such a broad chest,” Vanessa whispered, her voice stirring the airs around her, “Amanda didn't know what she was missing. Ufu~ if I had this, I'd never let it go. Oh well...” and then she leaned forward, her face coming to his chest, “Her loss. Not mine. Nmmph...”

And as if to punctuate her words, Vanessa's long tongue slithered from her maw. Jeffery stiffened up... but the first moment that tongue began gracing his flesh...

Slick... slick... slick...

“Ooooooh...”

He melted beneath her once again.

Laying on the bed, he felt Vanessa's tongue lick upon his chest, dragging along his body in sensual stride after sensual stride. Running from his broad chest to his navel and back again, the bat put her tongue to use in something Amanda would never and could never do.

And then came the kisses.

One after another, after another; they trailed down Jeffery's body and made him groan. Whenever he looked down, his eyes met her green ones, where they were almost instantly ensnared yet again. Even as she kissed him, even as she licked him, Vanessa did so with a smirk on her lips.

And she treated his body in a way unlike ever before, she slowly trailed down to the hem of his slacks. Fiddling with his belt and zipper, she undid both in record time, and then began pulling his pants down his legs along with his underwear. And before long, the large lump he was forming in his trousers, was finally let loose.

Fwip!

“Ah-ha~! Ufufufufufufufu~!”

Vanessa's eyes seemed to sparkle as they befell Jeffery's turgid length. Its size, its shape, its throbbing power; he was such a virile and energetic young man. Shivering from her toes to her ears, the chiropteran gave an audible giggle at the sight of his member as it stood tall before them all.

“Look at it,” Vanessa whispered as she pressed her hands to the sides of her breasts, squeezing them together as she lowered her body, “Your penis is so hard. Hnnmm... you must be sooo backed up after all that time spent working. Poor boy. Ufufufu... and with your wife not doing her duties, you must be sooooo desperate for this.”

“Vanessa...”

“Ufufufufu~ Don't worry...” she lowered further, “I'll handle it... drown yourself in my pleasure...”

And then her tits slipped right around his cock.

Groaning, Jeffery felt such an incredible level of warmth and tightness as his cock was buried between her breasts. Grinning still, Vanessa began squeezing and lifting her tits around his cock, jerking his length off with her smooth and flawless titflesh. Every stroke of her breasts caused Jeffery to rise up and groan, his eyes closing shut.

For a moment, he wondered if Amanda ever did something so lewd to him. Then he remembered that Amanda's chest was never large enough to perform such a lewd act. Realizing this caused his dick to give spurt of precum, which trickled down upon Vanessa's tits, and made her giggle. Then he leaned up, staring down his body towards the bat and watching as her grin faded.

And her mouth opened up.

With his long cock standing between her tits, Vanessa allowed her slender tongue to extend from her open maw. Then it coiled and wrapped around his dick, holding it hostage in her serpentine grasp. Gripping upon the covers of the bed beneath him, Jeffery leaned up, gazing into the bat's open mouth as she stroked and squeezed his cock with her tongue, whilst pressing the rest with her tits.

Up and down, again and again, Vanessa treated his penis to a pleasure he's never even thought about experiencing! It was too great, too much, and stimulating to an extreme degree. Groaning, Jeffery leaned back and let his mouth open wide, while a surge roared from his balls and straight up to his glands!

He was cumming! He was cumming! He was cumming! He was--

Nomph!

Vanessa trapped the head of his dick into her mouth... and then she grazed his glands with her teeth. That did it!

“Gggrraaaaaahhh!”

Squirrrt!

“Mmmmffff...”

Vanessa's eyes closed shut and her body huddled in close, while Jeffery's dick sputtered and throbbed and exploded. Within her mouth, he tanked spicy hot pint of seed after spicy hot pint of of seed. It was gooey, it was thick, and it was so damn heavy. Clinging to her mouth, Vanessa felt his cum push down on her jaw due to its quantity and weight.

She was right; he was sooo backed up.

Mouth opening, Vanessa let Jeffery's cock flop from her mouth while he panted. Staring upon her face, he watched her lips ooze with his seed in some sordid show. And to make matters better, Vanessa opened her mouth wide, letting him gaze into the pit of white cum he created.

Jizz flowed and popped and bubbled within her mouth, its odor filled the air, and Vanessa smiled as if pleased with her own dirty display. After a few seconds, she closed her mouth, licked the residing seed off her lips with her dexterous tongue, and then--

Gulp...

He watched her throat undulate as cum traveled down it, while her lips curled into a warm, beaming smile as if she'd just got done finishing a delicious meal.

“Mmmff... delicious...” Vanessa said before opening her mouth open again, flaunting that, yes, she had swallowed everything, and left not one bit left.

“Holy shit... Vanessa... th... this is crazy...” Jeffery muttered, realizing what was going on, “You and I... we're... and Amanda! And--”

“Shhhhhhh... shh shh shh...”

Quietting him, the chiropteran rose up on the bed, her hands grabbing her skin-tight gown. Up and up and up it pulled, pealing off her flesh and fur in an erotic display that quieted him down more than her shushing did. It took only a few seconds, but it felt like an eternity as Vanessa removed her gown and tossed it aside.

Now, her nude form was exposed, covered only by the lacy pair of panties on her waist, and the thigh-high stockings she wore. The curvaceous figure he had been marveling at was finally on full display; big breasts, thin waist, wide hips, and thick thighs.

And Vanessa knew this. She knew that this body was what he was craving for, what he desired! So she flaunted herself more than ever before! First by raising her hands to puff up her long scarlet hair, then by placing one hand upon her chest, while the other hand rested on her hip.

“Come here, Jeffery... and fuck me...”

Hearing that command flow from her lips... all of Jeffery's inhibitions faded away. The voices he heard, the thoughts about his family; all of that became nothing. And Vanessa doubled down on her eroticism as she slipped her thumbs beneath the band of her panties, gripping them... and then pulling them down her thick thighs. Enraptured, all Jeffery could do was watch.

And watch.

And waaaaaaaatttttcccccchh...

“You deserve this,” Vanessa called, her voice oozing into his ears.

“I deserve this,” Jeffery replied, entranced.

“You work so hard...” she continued on, siren calling him into her depths.

“I work so hard...” he repeated yet again, completely unable to look anywhere but at her.

“You just want to pin me down, and breed me like a bitch.”

“I just want to pin you down...” his hands reached out for her, “And breed you like a bitch...”

“Then do it...” Grab! “Ahh~! That's it~! Aaaahhhnnn~!”

Such strong hands! They took a hold of Vanessa's hips, where they squeezed and groped and kneaded! Body arching, the bat let out a womanly moan as she felt her flesh being so brutally toyed with by the lustful hands of her lover. He wanted to feel her, to touch her, to explore every inch of her sexy and erotic form!

So he drew her in, lifting her body up as his cock stood to attention once more! He'd just came, but already his length was back to its maximum length, if not a tinge harder than before! And Vanessa was ready for him. Her pink pussy was so wet, so hot, so hungry for his dick! It throbbed with this brimming and yearning need! And then she grinned...

“Fuck me...”

THRUST!

“AAAAHHH-HAAAAAAH~~~! FUCK MEEEEEE~!”

With one coordinated and powerful push, Jeffery's dick slammed straight up into Vanessa's core! Her eyes swelled and her body rocked, impaled on his thick member that spread out her walls. It was so lively inside of her, so needy! And the power! Oooooooooh, the power! The power could not be denied!

Pat! Pat! Pat! Pat! Pat! Pat! Pat!

Immediately Jeffery set up a pace brimming with need! The power of his hips launched weighty impact after weighty impact into Vanessa's form, making her body bounce, her tits jiggle, and her ass clap. She arched back fully, moaning to the air around them as she went up and down, up and down, up and down; fuck this was amazing!

His grip was so tight; Jeffery refused to let go! And Vanessa reveled in it! Moaning, groaning, whipping her body one way, then the other! Sweat had formed and drenched upon her form, causing it to glow in the silver light of the moon through their window! How could he look anywhere but at her!?

Vanessa's body wasn't just perfect on the outside, it was perfect inside too! Having never slept with another woman outside of Amanda, Jeffery wouldn't be able to tell what makes a woman's pussy good or not. But even with that in mind, he could tell that no woman was like Vanessa!

No woman was like Vanessa...

“Fuck! Aaahhnn! Hnnnghh! Wh-who are you!?” Jeffery groaned as he continued thrusting into her tight cunt, “Vanessa! Just... Who are you!?”

“Ghhhhnn... ufu... uf...”

She smiled, then leaned over as her hands fell upon his chest. Claws extending, Vanessa began scratching soft lines into Jeffery's chest while her eyes closed shut. And they remained shut for a second... and then two seconds... and then three seconds... and boy, those three seconds...

They felt like forever.

And when her eyes reopened, gone were those beautiful green eyes he'd come to know. They were replaced by these glowing pink eyes. They shined and shimmered, where they pierced the air around them to gaze upon Jeffery's face. And he laid there, equally as frozen and enthralled by her sight, while her mouth spread out into a wide smile.

She didn't utter a word, instead moving up her hips gently... and then driving them down with an audible--

Pat!

“Oooooh...”

Again, she rose her hips up... and then drove them down--

PAT!

“Hnnnngh!?”

She was getting faster, getting stronger. Every thrust down, every drive of her body, sent a surge through Jeffery's own body. Her pussy, so tight and strong, gripping and clinching and rubbing every inch of his cock perfectly. The way her hips moved, saucily stroking down, then driving down harder, whilst making their bodies 'Pat!', and her pussy 'Slick!' and his cock throb; oooooh, it was better than amazing, it was absolutely fucking perfect!

“Haaaaaahh ~~! Aaaaahhhnnnn~~~! Jeeefffferrrrryyyy~~~!” Vanessa moaned as she gripped his chest and her own chest, kneading her bosom whilst still riding his cock.

He could watch her voluptuous tan form ride his dick for hours... but ultimately, Jeffery is but a man. A man with blood that pumps; he couldn't go on forever. He tried to hold out for longer. He tried biting into his bottom lip and stuffing his voice. He tried to draw things out for just a few pumps more... but he felt a--

Clinch!

“Aaaah!”

And that did it!”

“Nnngghghh!”

“AA-HHAAAAAAH ~~~!? YES! YESSSS~~~!”

Her hands clamping on her face, Vanessa's pink eyes doubled in size as Jeffery unloaded his semen deep into her cunt. Tanking and tanking and tanking; this fat load of cum rushed to stain every inch of her womb, leaving absolutely nothing to the wayside! It bubbled to the brim, where it spurted from Vanessa's cunt and streaked down his dick. All the while he laid there, panting desperately for air, while his eyes closed shut.

And he laid there...

In darkness...

With only the sound of their breathing to give him company, and Vanessa's weight baring down on his lap.

But...

Where was this light coming from?

Jeffery's eyes opened and he stared up towards the woman impaled on his cock.

Vanessa had changed.

Her pink eyes had grown brighter, and her red hair flowed in the air like she was underwater. Clutching herself close, a rumination of this strange, pink energy, flowed from her toes to the tips of her ears in waves; again and again and again.

And...

Were those horns?

Yes! Horns! These onyx horns jutted from her head, curved and pointed towards the skies like a bulls! Her wings too had grown longer as they spread out to completely bloat out view of the ceiling above them.

But despite these magnificent and startling changes that would horrify many, Jeffery instead felt... enthralled. This strange energy which flowed off of her body, kept him pacified as he gazed upon her magnificent body.

Vanessa shuddered in place, her expression one of shear orgasmic joy. Her hands... her sensual, sultry hands... they stroked and groped at her form, as if marveling at this gorgeous body she owned. And then her mouth opened--

“Aaaaahhhh...”

To let out this melodious and sensual moan.

What was this he was feeling? This sweet aroma he smelled? This passionate heat? This throbbing air? It all surrounded Jeffery, who gazed up to Vanessa as her own climax finally subsided. And then she sat there, staring down upon him with that smile on her face, her entire body dripping with ecstasy and allure.

Raising his hands, Jeffery placed them upon Vanessa's hands where he clinched them softly. She giggled, her voice reverberating through the bedroom like an echo, and then she clinched back.

“Jeeeeeefffffeeeeerrrrryyyyyy...” she whispered, her alluring pink eyes giving an energetic glow.

“Haah... Vanessa... glp... hmm... what are you?” he asked, drawing a soft chuckle from her lips.

Releasing a hold upon one of his hands, Vanessa's claws suddenly extended out... and then they kept extending out, reaching a length of well over ten inches! The dangerous set of ebony claws looked sharp enough to cut through flesh and bone with ease, but she commanded it with such skill. Bringing the tip of her claws down, she poked Jeffery in the chin, before sensually stroking it along his features.

“I'm a succubus...” she answered, causing his heart to throb.

“A... succ... ubus...?” he repeated before shivering, “Ahahahahahhah...!”

“Yeeeesssss... hmmmmnnm... and you tasted so... gooooooood,” Vanessa continued on as she pulled her hand back, her claws retracting, “I think... I think I'm gonna make you mine...”

Jeffery opened his mouth to speak, but it was cut off by a groan as the bat shook her hips. Despite having climaxed twice, his dick remained as hard as a diamond, and his body continued desiring whatever sexual heights she could bring him to. Vanessa was a goddess... no... a demon of sx, and despite hearing it from her very own lips... all he could what is more.

To hell with anything else.

“I'll think I'll play with you for a little while before I've had my fill,” Vanessa claimed as she rubbed her chin, “But just to make sure you don't get any funny ideas...”

Her mouth opened... wider... wider... wider! And as he watched her gaping maw split open, he saw her fangs grow longer and sharper as well.

Her fangs...

What did Vanessa say before? Riiiight, she called herself a vampire bat.

Which means...

“GRAH!”

BITE!

“NNNGGHHH!?”

He was weak.

He didn't know when he became weak.

He didn't know how he became weak.

He didn't know why he became weak.

He just knew that he was weak.

And he hated it.

Beside him, his phone buzzed with message after message... but he was far too drained to possibly look at it. Drained... drained not only of body, but also of mind.

How could he do something so tremendously stupid? How could he cheat on Amanda – his wife of over five years – with someone... with anyone!? Those thoughts rumbled about within his head where they refused to go. And because of them, he couldn't bring himself to open up his eyes, to return to the real world. Sooner or later, he'd need to deal with the consequences of his actions, whether they be from Amanda or himself. And... he wasn't ready to face either of them.

But he couldn't lay in this bed forever.

The night did not end after the second orgasm, nor did it end after Vanessa bit him. No, they just kept going. He poured all of his lusts inside and upon the bat, showering her with the intense, orgasmic need of his body. And now that it was all over – now as the sun arose over Document City – he came to terms with his actions.

Jeffery's eyes opened, staring at the ceiling in a despondent manner. He almost wanted to go back to sleep, where he'd hopefully wake up in his bed as if this was nothing more than some intense wet dream. Or, damn, maybe even wake up at work! He'd rather be anywhere – anywhere! – than right here.

But he had to get up; he could not lay here forever. So he did; he pulled himself up out of the bed and looked around... where he saw nothing. Nothing but the messy bed sheets of this motel mattress, and his crumbled, messy clothes on the floor nearby. Any and all signs of Vanessa were completely gone. No dress, no purse, no bras nor panties; no nothing.

Well... at least he wouldn't need to face her. But with her being their neighbor, he knew that sooner or later they'd come in contact with one another. And when that moment came, what would he do? Hell, what will he do now?

Would he lie to Amanda? Make up some story of suddenly being called to work, and needing to rush over there ASAP? That could possibly explain his messy clothes, though not the smell. He could wash up in the shower before returning home.

Or...

Would he tell the truth to Amanda? Admit to his infidelities and pray, if not outright beg for them to work through this? Just thinking about it made his heart pang with fear. He could imagine the face Amanda would have; the shock, the betrayal, the anger, and the sadness. So much sadness. For as fiery as she could be, Amanda was still human. She laughed, she cried, she could feel pain. And there's probably no pain deeper than your husband – the man who you left your old home for and had a loving son with – cheated on you with a woman he just met.

Your neighbor in fact.

And with that thought in mind, Jeffery made his decision.

He was weak.

And he hated it.

He would not tell Amanda of what happened tonight. He would swallow it in and make up some lie about being called to work while she and Junior were at the bridal shower. She'd no doubt believe it, considering the number of times he's been called there. Still, it made his stomach toss with regret, knowing he'd done something so...

Terrible.

The truth was the truth. He may say that he was lying to simply protect her feelings, but deep down inside, Jeffery knew he was lying to simply save what he had. He didn't want to lose her nor his son.

He loved them...

Weakly... yes... weakly, Jeffery pulled himself out of the mattress. He'd never felt so drained before. It was like he'd run several marathons back to back! He could barely stand, and his breathing was all over the place! But he kept pushing himself forward, rushing for the bathroom where he stumbled on its sink. Gripping it, he braced himself against its porcelain surface as his eyes fell upon his reflection.

Did he always look this pale?
