Sorry for such a long wait for this part. As an apology I am posting two new chapters. The story is slowly coming to an end. There will be some time skips happening from time to time from this point on to help speed things along a little.

Part Seven

Around dinner time, Bennie comes down from a relaxing afternoon of napping for a change. He really needed that extra sleep and grateful that half of it was with his wife. Bennie hears Annie humming in her painting room and smiles as he knows his wife is busy in there and plans to get her to the table for dinner soon.

Bennie however is confused to why he can smell dinner cooking when his wife is painting. Did she start something before going into the art studio? The older male cat peeks into the kitchen to see his son and Luke cooking together. There are smiles but thanks to a hint of puffy around the eyes, Bennie knows his son has been crying recently.

The older cat wonders why his son was crying at all but the slight scent change has him clued in a little. So for now he plans to say nothing until his son is ready to add him to the circle of those he talks to. Bennie steps into the kitchen after Luke is done helping Jason get some serving platters on the counter.

Jason smiles at his dad as he says, "Hi, dad. Did you sleep okay? We tried to keep the noise down." The younger male cat looks to Bennie hoping he didn't ruin his dad's rest. Bennie just smiles back as he says, "I slept fine. You boys are always so good when I need rest to keep things quiet. But honestly, I am more curious to what you two are making for dinner. I thought your mom was cooking until I saw you two in here."

Luke chuckles at the comment. The tiger says, "We wanted to ease some of what you and Annie had to do as thanks for being so supportive of us. Also, Annie was a big help earlier before she went to paint." Bennie nods happy to hear that his future son in law is so considerate.

Jason nods and starts to fill one of the platters on the counter with baked potatoes. The other platter is filled by Luke with roasted chicken breasts. It all smells wonderful as Bennie says, "I will go set the table then. And don't even try to stop me. I want to do my part for dinner and that is the easiest part."

Jason laughs as he says, "Okay dad. I won't try to stop you." He is happy to let his dad to do that if he really wants to. The younger male cat is working on a third platter which is filled with Brussels sprouts. When done, Luke helps make sure each platter is in the center of the table with serving utensils. Annie comes out of her art studio to clean up and looks at the wonderful dinner on the table.

Annie smiles as she says, "I will be ready in a minute. I just need to clean up from painting. I started a new piece just for you two." Bennie finishes setting the table as his wife talks to the young couple. Jason smiles at his mom as he says, "I am sure it will be a great piece."

Luke is touched by the thought. He cannot even find the words to properly thank his future mother in law for thinking of them. Bennie kisses his wife as he says, "That is great hun. Our sons did a great job on dinner. So don't take too long. I may eat as much as I can before you get out here."

The older cat is joking and Annie laughs. Jason laughs with his parents as he is not surprised that they are calling Luke a son. It shows the younger male cat that his mate has been accepted as a member of this family. His hand slides down to his belly wondering what it is going to look like in a few months.

Luke notices his mate's behavior and just lets the younger cat be. His mate has a right to just focus on his thoughts sometimes. The tiger is curious but thanks to their discussion earlier, he knows enough of his mate's thoughts on this whole becoming a parent.

Bennie settles into his seat and asks, "So boys, what did you two do today? I hope it wasn't too boring." Luke settles into a seat while they wait for Annie. Jason slides into his seat as he says, "We napped a little, watched a movie, and then made dinner. It wasn't boring and it felt like good practice for someday when we have our own place."

Bennie chuckles as he says, "That is true, especially when you have little ones making messes. I remember how active you two were in running around just a few years ago." Jason chuckles and says, "Well hopefully when our little one is old enough, we won't have anything breakable out on display."

Jason is joking with his dad but there is still something in his eyes. A newfound joy as well as fear. Both feelings will probably always be there since nothing in life is ever without fear at some point. Bennie notices his son's reactions so he doesn't press the subject.

Finally Annie comes out and they enjoy the nice dinner. After a couple of hours, Annie gets up from the table to get the dishes. She says, "You boys did all this hard work for the meal. I will wash the dishes. Your father can help me. If you two want to, you can go out on a date. Just let us know which house you are sleeping at tonight. I want to know you are both safe either at Lula's or here at home. I know Lula is waiting to hear which house you two are going to be at too."

Jason nods as he says, "That sounds like a great idea. We haven't had a date in a few days. Maybe getting out of the house and going somewhere could be fun. We normally have until ten or eleven during the summer for curfew. It is only going on seven now."

Luke considers it and says, "I think that is a great idea. I will call my mom to let her know I am staying here tonight. Maybe tomorrow you can come over to my house for a couple of days." This has been normal from before they even started dating a few weeks ago. Jason's grin is all the answer the tiger needs. So he gets up and says, "Well unless we are going somewhere fancy, I think the jeans and t-shirts we have on is good for a date right now."

Jason nods to Luke's words before getting up and quickly hugging his parents before hurrying to the door with Luke. Since they have already eaten this means they can go find a movie showing or find something else to do for a couple of hours just the two of them.

The young couple starts down the street not sure where they want to go. Jason wonders about where tonight's date will be. The cat grins as he says, "Didn't we talk about going to that new park that has been the talk of some of our friends? You remember it right? It is the one where a lot of them are taking their girlfriends and boyfriends for a romantic evening under the stars."

Luke chuckles as he says, "I remember and honestly yeah, I want to take you there. I think it will be a great spot and I hear there are spots to make out without anyone seeing. I bet that is part of why you want to go." The tiger's tone is full of teasing.

Jason laughs as he is teased and gently hits his mate's arm. He pretends to pout for a moment before saying, "Maybe that is one reason I like the idea." The pout doesn't last long before he breaks back into a smile. The black cat loves this tiger of his so much. So he really doesn't mind the teasing at least for now. He is not aware that feeling could change about the teasing at some point in the coming months.

Luke is already cherishing this moment because he remembers a few years ago when one of their classmates talked about their mom changing when pregnant due to the baby. The tiger is hoping that won't happen to Jason but he doesn't want to mention that now or ever possibly. Luke nods as he keeps a grin on his face before saying, "Well then, who am I to deny my sexy mate some make out time?"

Jason is full of smiles as he holds Luke's hand and heads to the park with his mate. It is as stunning as some of their friends have said. The trees are so green and full of life. The paths are paved with colorful stones that help bring some magic to this wonderful place. The paths are well lit with streetlights in case couples are here after dark. Jason says in awe, "This place is stunning and the scent of flowers is truly adding to the magic."

Luke can only nod in agreement as he is in awe as well. This may be a new favorite spot to walk with his beloved cat. The tiger certainly is glad they are here tonight. He guides Jason along one of the paths close by so they can explore. Luke can see that Jason's eyes are busy looking at all that is around them. It doesn't take long to find the path to a small but pretty lake.

Jason lets go of Luke so he can sit beside the lake. Luke sits down beside him and the two whisper sweet nothings to each other as if afraid of ruining the magic around them. Soft sounds of water lapping at the edge joins the sounds of an owl that is nearby. Jason whispers, "Thank you for bringing me here. It is truly magical and I love you so much, Luke."

Luke smiles as he whispers back, "I should be the one thanking you. I really do hope we get the chance to show a family of our own this amazing place someday. I can picture little ones running in the sunlight as we sit near the lake reminding them not to push their brother or sister into the water as they play."

Jason smiles with a small chuckle as he nods. He can see it too. The children he sees are ones he knows he will give birth to. It is slowly calming any fear he may have at the moment about being an omega. That part is less scary for some reason compared to what it means for him and his alpha mate, Luke.

Luke whispers, "I really want a family with you. I want our sons and daughters to grow up with love all around them. I know I don't have the best example of a dad. My dad left so long ago and to be honest I am still kind of mad at him for that."

Jason gently says, "It is okay to be mad. But don't let it rule your life. I think we never talked as much as we should about this and about our future. We started dating a few weeks ago and now we are forever mates thanks to a mating bite."

Luke is so glad to have a mate who understands how important talking is. He nods as he takes a few minutes to think about things. Then the tiger responds, "That is true. I want you to be honest with me too. If you ever feel I am being too much or not paying attention enough. I need you to tell me. I want to be a good mate and a good dad to any kids we have. This is what I want, you and whatever future we are allowed."

Jason smiles at that and instead of words, he kisses the tiger to show how much he agrees with the words. Knowing he has a strong mate, being an omega is not so bad. It is scary the idea of being able to give birth to kids but in time Jason feels he can come to terms with that and maybe even come to enjoy making kids with his tiger. The cat says, "I want that too, a future where we have kids and raise them. However, you do have a good role model for how a dad is. Look at my father and learn from him how to be a good dad. I know you are already an amazing mate. So that means, I know you will be an amazing dad too whenever we have our little ones to raise."

The gentle reassurance, talking, and just overall bonding they are having while in such a beautiful park seems to strength what the two already have. By the time they leave after having said promised make out session by the lake, both are feeling much better about things.

A couple of weeks quickly pass by and one bright morning Jason wakes up at dawn in Luke's bed after a night of cuddling, sex, and loving kisses. The cat races to the bathroom as he suddenly feels really nauseous. After hearing his mate get out of bed, Luke rushes to see if Jason is okay. Jason finishes letting out everything he had in his stomach in the toilet before looking at his mate with teary eyes.

Luke says in a soft and gentle tone, "I think this proves we are becoming parents." Jason can only nod as he takes out the test he had bought the other day. He says, "Only one way to really know if that is the case besides my scent. Can you give me a few minutes in here?" The feline's tone is one of a scared omega and one that doesn't want his mate to see him like this.

Luke nods as he says, "I can do that for you. I will be on the bed if you need me. I love you, no matter what the test says." The tiger gently hugs his omega before kissing his forehead. After doing all he can to reassure without pressuring his mate, the tiger leaves the bathroom and heads back to his room.

Jason wishes he could have responded better to what was said to him but right now he is just a scared omega about to find out if he really is pregnant like his family and mate have said. The idea was super scary a couple of weeks ago but there wasn't any proof in his point of view of anyone being right. The black cat looks at the box in his hands as he slowly opens it with a shaky hand. Finally after a deep calming breath, he manages to get his hand not to shake long enough to get the test out and take it.

Jason is blushing over having to pee right over part of the stick. He is not sure how women manage to do this without feeling awkward about it. Once done he does as the instructions say and sits on the floor waiting for the test to be done. Jason mutters to himself, "This is the longest three minutes of my life. Just to prove if I really am able to carry a baby."

It feels like an eternity has passed by the time the test beeps at Jason. He gets up on his feet carefully and with scared eyes he looks to see what it says. It is one of those digital display ones so it clearly says pregnant in bold letters. Jason walks on slightly shaky legs to Luke's bedroom and just drops the test onto the messed up bedcovers. Then he sits in the soft chair in the corner of Luke's room and just curls up waiting for Luke to react.

Luke can tell that his mate is still in the scared state so he looks at the test that has been dropped to the bed. He nods with a soft smile as he says, "So it is true. I am glad we can start our family but I can see you are scared. Why are you scared still?"

Jason has no idea why he feels so scared. He has been talking with his parents, with Luke's mom, and with Luke about the future. Luke has been so glad they have been so honest with each other including fears about what happens if they stop getting along someday.

Luke says gently, "We have been doing really well about being open with each other. You know I am afraid of being like my dad. I won't leave you to raise the baby alone. I want this baby with you but if you feel different, please tell me."

Jason sighs as he says, "I know we have been doing well lately. I like how open we are being. But I honestly don't know why I am so scared. I know we talked about this and started to make plans in case everyone was right. But now that it is proven true, it feels like those plans are even scarier now. We are only seventeen. We are too young, can we really do this?"

Luke looks at his mate and motions for the cat to come over to him. Jason does as asked as he needs his mate's comfort right now. Luke says softly once Jason is in his arms, "We are young. I agree that this is happening a lot faster than it should to us. But I don't regret mating with you. I want this baby, planned or not. Our future will be okay. We just need to plan like we have been. We need to figure out which house we stay in so the baby has a stable home life without going between houses each week like we have been doing ourselves."

Luke's words are full of love and comfort which makes Jason slowly calm down a little. He is still a scared omega but with the comfort of his mate, he is at least calmer so they can truly discuss their feelings. Jason nods as he says, "Thank you. You are right about not regretting. I don't regret mating with you as well. I love you so much and this baby is part of you. We made a baby. It is a miracle since we are both males. We need our own space. Doesn't your mom have that extra building behind the house? The one she talked about making a shed but didn't."

Luke listens to his mate and first addresses his comments about the baby. The tiger gently replies in a loving tone, "I am glad you and I feel the same. It is a miracle and one I plan to enjoy since my loving mate can make this miracle happen." He pauses to make sure his words are understood by the cat.

After Luke is sure that Jason understands him, he speaks up again. The tiger chuckles as he is reminded of that nice size shed that his mother has and has not used for anything. He nods as he adds, "Yes, it would take a few weeks to remodel it if my mom is okay with it. But we will still be close to your parents and my mom with our own little space. Also, if we have our own entrance so we don't have to go through my mom's area."

Jason knows they have to talk to the adults about it. So for now they stop talking about the building and just cuddle in silence as he calms down from the scared feeling that welled up inside of him. Jason knows this is just the first of many times that he will feel this way as he needs to accept that he is a male omega able to have babies. It is not easy to accept that what he has been told the past couple of weeks is really true and not some joke his family has played.

Luke needs time to accept all of this too. His mate is not the only one feeling scared of this. The tiger loves his mate but he fears not being good enough to Jason and their child. He has his own fears that are not always easy to talk about. Luke has gotten better but it has only been two weeks, they still have months before the baby is born. By then new fears and old fears will be there.

The two of them stay cuddling for a good hour before they finally get dressed and have breakfast. Luke's mother, Lula, can tell by their eyes that they have not had an easy morning. Lula asks, "Do you two want to tell me what the result was? I saw the test fall out of your bag when you came over the other day."

Jason blushes and says, "Well it proved you and my parents were right. I am pregnant." The words come out with a hint of fear like he had earlier. Lula can hear the tone so she doesn't push Jason or Luke to speak. She simply says, "Congrats. I am looking forward to being a grandma." Her tone and smile are as gentle as her son's smiles have been today.

Jason is grateful not to be pushed to talk more than he has to about it. He has already talked enough about the test and what it means with Luke this morning. For now he just wants to set up the doctor appointment and get on the right path on taking care of the baby inside of him. Also he needs information on what it means for him when it comes to giving birth.
