Part 3 of a seriesGotta Know 'Em All Part 1Big Brain Time Part 2
Robyn was on her bicycle, trucking up a hill with a straw hat on her head she had just fashioned herself. It only took a few moments of tearing the stalks out of the ground and weaving them around her head while she zoomed down the road, barely giving the process a thought as her telepathy went to work. Two baskets were hung down the sides of the rear wheel. Sticking out of one was a foldable butterfly net. Robyn knew where she was going and how to get there, even though she'd never been to this part of the province. She didn't need a GPS or any roadmaps. The moment she saw the location on a map, she'd known how to get there. It made sense just to teleport, but the sun was shining brightly that day, putting the grass-swept hills and their bordering forest into a brilliant green glow. The sky was at its absolute bluest and a thin herd of cumuli marched across it. The day was simply too beautiful not to go biking.
Robyn made it to the summit of the hill where she was afforded a more complete view of the surrounding landscape. She slowed to a stop and stood on her feet, putting her hand to the top of her hat. Before her was a yawning scrape of the province. Beyond where the dirt road dove into the forest she could see a spire of the nearest town yonder. A flock of Taillows darted over the treeline, squawking their names. A brief flash of information and statistics blew through Robyn's mind when she saw them, but it was brushed aside. However adorable they were, she wasn't looking for them. She kept her hand cupped over the front brim of her hat, shading her visor and squinting. This clearing was the place. Her eyes narrowed. All potential distractions were blurred. She looked and she looked, ready for it to pop up any moment.
Her eyes widened along with a smile. "Aha!" She kicked her feet back up on the pedals and zoomed down the road. The bike vibrated beneath her and the wind crescendoed into a woosh past her ears. Her eyes were not on the road but on a seemingly inscrutable collection of pink dots that sat in the green several hundred yards away. Getting closer did not make them any clearer, their miniscule size being without a definite shape. That's what gave them away. Robyn knew exactly what they were: a small herd of Dittos waiting to be snatched up.
She came to the part of the road closest to their herd and parked her bike, opting to walk through the grass. After pulling out her net and unfolding it she marched her way through the field and up towards the Dittos. They were not the only Pokémon there as a herd of Mareep grazed nearby, their matriarch Flaaffy standing at their flank, eying Robyn closely as she marched forward, net in hand. When she was closest to them she looked at the Flaaffy and sent her a message via telepathy. Don't worry. I'm not here for you. You can relax. The Flaaffy caught the message, nodded, then turned its attention back to its herd.
Robyn came onto the squiggly Dittos, their flappy jello arms waving about their heads lazily. There were seven of them sliding through the grass, chittering to each other, doing nothing in particular when they spotted Robyn and watched her curiously with beady, black eyes. Robyn spoke to them with her mind. Hey there! Aren't you all just adorable? Does one of you want to come with me and be my friend?
A few of them smiled at her and chirped their name, the others remained weary. It didn't matter to Robyn. She only needed one of them, and the fellow closest to her was acting awfully amiable. "Ditto!" it squeaked. I do! I do!
"Good!" Robyn was happy that she didn't need the net. She folded it back up and held it by her side before falling into a squat in front of her new pal. She held her hand out. You know how to shake hands? It didn't, but quickly got the idea once she had asked. Its nubby pink arm started to glow, then materialized as a human hand. It extended itself to hers. Robyn laughed. I'll take that as a yes. She grabbed the Ditto's "hand" and performed a teleportation, vanishing the both of them and her bike in a great white flash and leaving the other Dittos to chirp in a panic, shocked by the sudden disappearance of their friend.
Robyn and the Ditto were born out of another flash in her basement back home, their hands still locked together. The Ditto's smile vanished. He turned the hand back into pink goop and swiveled his head back and forth, shocked and confused.
Robyn put her fingers over her lips. "Shhhhhhhhh!" It's OK! You're safe. You're in my house now. I brought you here.
The Ditto looked up at her, fear written on its simple but oddly expressive face. "Ditto?"
That's right, Robyn thought with a nod. We're gonna do one little experiment and then you can be back with your friends. Is that OK?
It didn't seem convinced, but was too afraid to fight back. "Ditto..."
Robyn held her arms out. Come here. Let me hold you.
The Ditto hesitated before it slithered over to her. When she picked it up she realized it was shaking.
Aww, it's OK. I'm not gonna hurt you. With her intimate knowledge of Ditto behavior, she was able to soothe its anxiety with a series of gentle pets and coos. The Ditto was huddled in her arms at first, its face hidden in front of her bosom. After a few strokes over its putty body and some Ditto-sounding hums, it showed its face to her and smiled.
"Ditto!"
There we go! Now let's get what we need and we'll be done. Robyn carried the Ditto over to the table next to her lab equipment and set it down gently. She reached into her back pocket and pulled out a fruit pellet. She waved it in front of the Ditto, grabbing his attention with a few sucks on her teeth. The Ditto reached its arms at it, smiling gaily. She brought the pellet around behind him, making him look away from her. While he chowed on the pellet she reached for a syringe on the table, pulled the cap off, then gingerly sank the needle into its back. The Ditto didn't so much as flinch. She pulled the plunger back and extracted a few CC's of Ditto DNA.
By the time the Ditto had swallowed the pellet the syringe was already back on the table, full of a translucent pink Ditto fluid. It was none the wiser, never having seen or felt the needle. He smiled up at her with multi-colored crumbs flecked around his mouth. Robyn patted its head. Good! Here's another pellet for the road. She produced another pellet and gave it to him.
"Ditto!" He took it and began chowing down. While he did that, she gave him her goodbye and teleported him back to the herd with a hell of a story to tell.
Robyn was left in the silence of the basement. Her smile had vanished alongside the Ditto, replaced by something much more serious now that her work was in front of her. She picked the syringe up and held it in front of her face. The image beyond the clear plastic cylinder had been bowed and given a pink sheen by the liquid inside. It was time to put things in motion that would truly change her and Koa's lives forever.
She drew out a petri dish and filled it with a shallow pool of the Ditto blood. Once ready she placed it on the tray beneath her scanner and turned it on. That grid of lasers appeared and drew every bit of information that was in the blood and its DNA. After about two minutes of scanning the lasers disappeared and the monitor on the machine came to life with a plethora of data.
Now came the tedious part. Robyn scooted up a nearby chair and sat in front of the screen with the mouse in her hand. It would take a long time of reading and interpreting before she had everything she needed. However, she was confident that it was all there and that a hypothesis of hers and several other Pokémon scientists would be proven correct. She scrolled through the entire data sheet, dashing her eyes across each line of text and absorbing its info like a sponge. It was a lot to go through, but with a blistering pace she was able to make it to the very bottom with everything it had locked in her mind.
She sat up in her chair with a proud smile. Yes, her hypothesis was true. Dittos are the result of failed experiments to produce Mew, the progenitor Pokémon. It had taken thorough examining and intense analyzation, but everything she had just read pointed directly to that being the case. What an amazing scientific paper this would prove to be. Those responsible for the Dittos creation would be outed. So many Pokémon scientists and their theories would be vindicated.
But she didn't give a hoot about any of that. She was here to turn Koa and herself into Pokémon. It would take a lot of work, but she was more than capable of doing it. With all the information she needed at hand and virtually every resource available, it was all but certain that her girlfriend's dream of becoming a Raichu would become reality.
The first step was reverse engineering the Ditto DNA into Mew DNA. With the help of her Pokémon knowledge and her equipment she was able to become the first person in history to map the Mew genome. Once constructed it appeared on her monitor, not as a typically scientific-looking 3D image of a double helix spinning, but as an entire screen of letters and numbers jumbled together seemingly without pattern. The layman saw gibberish. Robyn saw the most impressive thing she had ever accomplished. Looking through it she discovered bundles of genetic data that she couldn't decipher, likely making it the DNA of Pokémon yet to be discovered. Next she had to map Raichu DNA, although this was accomplished with knowledge already contained on the internet.
The next part was tricky. Robyn crept upstairs and tiptoed her way to the bedroom. Peeking through the doorway she saw Koa still asleep on the bed, that adorable smile still on her face, her hair in an ugly clump atop her scalp. Robyn sighed with relief. If she had kept track of time correctly, which she was certain she had, she still had a while until Koa woke up. That gave her enough time for her next procedure.
Robyn came to a squat next to the side of the bed where Koa was splayed out. She focused on Koa's skull, midway up the forehead and around the rest of her crown. With just an ounce of thought she was able to split the bone and create an artificial hinge that would allow the crown to flop open whenever Koa or Robyn wanted it to. The skin remained intact, leaving nary a trace of the quick procedure. Satisfied that it had been done right. Robyn stood up and quickly did the same procedure on herself. It would make the next step in her plan a lot easier.
* * *
Koa woke up early the next morning, before the sun was done rising all of the way over the horizon. She was in a daze, unsure of where she was or how she got there. Sitting up felt like moving through molasses. Her first coherent thought asked How long was I out? She looked at the digital clock on the nightstand and saw that it was 6:23 in the morning. Her crusty eyes went wide. Geez! I only meant to nap. Guess I was tired.
She looked over and saw Robyn asleep next to her. It was way before her usual wake up time, so Koa took extra care getting out of bed and then getting ready. She briefly considered making breakfast for Robyn, but remembering the lavish dinner that had been prepared the day before she decided not to. She was out the door and on her way to work at her usual time.
Robyn woke up to an empty bed, a good sign that everything with Koa was normal and OK. After a quick breakfast she made herself (and some disappointment that Koa hadn't made her any) she went to the lab to do some more tinkering. She fashioned two incubation tubes where the Mew and Raichu were to be born. After filling them with an artificial amniotic fluid she was able to alter the DNA on both Pokémon so that it would grow into mature specimens with hollow brain chambers.
She used her powers to fashion an egg and inseminate it. From there she put it in the tubes and let nature do the rest of the work. It happened remarkably fast. After going upstairs to kill some time with a book she came back down and found the two specimens floating in their tubes, in the fetal position, their eyes closed while amidst a gently floating column of air bubbles. Robyn came up to the Mew specimen with sparkling eyes. In front of her was the legend of legendaries, the progenitor, the very reason Pokémon existed. Its mousy pink body hovered in front of her listlessly, those teensy front paws tucked in front of its chest where it kept its soft nose tucked. A wispy tail was curled up in front, held onto by its right paw. It did nothing else, but Robyn could not stop staring. Her reflection in the cylinder was right over the Mew's precious face. Even with all of her mental magnitude she could not truly believe that she was going to be inside of it soon.
Well, what was she waiting for? With a rapidly beating heart she took a step back and pulled up the chair that was still in front of the monitor. She sat in it, got comfortable, then closed her eyes. She took a deep breath, focusing on the Mew's empty brain case.
Flop!
Robyn's crown flipped open on its hinge like the lid of a trash can, revealing her blue-colored brain. It elevated from her cranium slowly, disconnecting itself from the stem. Robyn's body went limp, her face going into a droop. All that defined Robyn hovered in the air, a fissured clot of blue-colored fat. It lifted towards the ceiling then drifted forwards to the space above where the tube held the Mew. There was a gurgle in the amniotic fluid when the Mew's head cap flipped open, leaving an empty cavity for Robyn to fall in. She performed minimize on herself, shrinking her brain with a hollow suction sound so that it could fit. From there she lowered herself into the tube, then fell into the Mew's skull. The stem attached itself to the spine and fused with the rest of her central nervous system. Then the lid fell shut.
She could no longer feel the chair beneath her, but an all-encompassing hug of warm fluid and the tickling creep of air bubbles sliding up her skin. She opened her eyes. Before her was not the tube and the Mew inside but a world blinded by pink. Two blinks brought the image into focus, and she realized that she was looking out into the basement. It was bowed outwards by the curve of the tube. In front of her was... her, still sitting in the chair with her head slumped to the side.
She held her hands up in front of her face and saw that they were not hands but a doughy pair of paws with fingers like nubs. Looking down at herself she saw the rest of her body, including her pudgy belly, her legs, and that wispy Mew tail. Excitement surged through her. Oh my God! YES! Trying to perform a victory dance only reminded her that she was inside of a tube, dipped in juices. Crap! Swimming to the surface took some effort, but finally her snout breached the surface. Gotta fly out of here. How do I levitate?
Robyn was a hyper genius, but she wasn't a Mew. Flying proved to be a mystery for now. She had to awkwardly climb out of the cylinder and then lower herself to the table, her body dripping with that slimy womb juice and threatening to make her slip. She got down to the table safely and marched to her computer, swearing under her breath for not having the proper foresight to download some Mew instincts. Fortunately all it took was some digging into the genome and extracting it onto a file. She flopped her skull cap open, stuck a plug into her brain, then downloaded all of the data.
It was like flicking a switch on. Just like that Robyn's body began to float off the table. The world went weightless around her. The wire connecting the plug to the computer snapped taut. She quickly took it off, expecting to float the rest of the way up to the ceiling. Instead she hovered right where she was, cradled in the air like an infant, her tail curled into a crescent up in front of her.
Wow... she said, it coming out as a childlike sigh of wonder. Looking at the floor brought no wave of vertigo. She was right where she was supposed to be, not on her two feet like the slumped vessel in the chair should have been, but up in the air freer than even the highest flying bird. A giddy smile came across her face Wow!
Robyn did a bunch of tricks across the basement, barreling through the air in a series of rolls, whirls, tilts, and spins. It was a liberation like nothing she had felt before. Gravity was a shackle, and she had finally been given the key. After laughing and giggling herself silly she came to a stop and took time to practice her new powers. There were still the many psychic abilities from before, as well as moves unseen in any other Pokémon, psychic or otherwise. Most notable was the move maximize, the opposite of minimize, which allowed her to grow objects several magnitudes bigger than their original size. Practicing on a paper clip changed it from an office product one inch long to a weapon bigger than Robyn's Mew body.
The fun was interrupted by Koa coming back home from work. Robyn sighed and lowered herself down to the table where she laid down and closed her eyes. With a flash behind the Mew's and her original bodie's lids she switched her brain back to where it had been. Human Robyn came back to life with a violent jolt. Drool was sliding down her face and wetting the collar of her shirt. She wiped it off and stood up, disappointed to be bound to the Earth once more, but more than happy to be able to leave it now that she had the proper vehicle.
Koa came through the front door, dropping her stuff off on the table and sliding her shoes off. She heard footsteps coming up the basement stairs and saw Robyn wearing a mischievous smile.
"Hey," said Koa. "What were you doing in the basement?"
"Oh, just setting up a surprise for you."
Koa grinned. "Another one? You didn't cook me dinner in the basement, did you?"
Robyn shook her head. "No, no. Nothing quite like that. Trust me. This one is far more... mind-blowing, if you will." Her conniving smirk deepened.
"Oh, OK. Are you going to show it to me?"
"Of course. But first you gotta close your eyes."
Koa snickered and obeyed. "Alright. I'm ready."
"OK. Don't open them."
"I won't, I won't."
Koa heard Robyn stepping closer to her. Expecting to be guided down the basement steps, she held her hand out for Robyn to take. Robyn did, but not to take her anywhere.
Flop!
Out swung the cap of Koa's skull like the lid of a squirt bottle, exposing the wrinkly sponge of her brain, still green from yesterday's antics. It floated from her cranium and into the air, hovering a foot over Koa's now lifeless body. Robyn pulled Koa close and hugged her so that she wouldn't fall. She dragged Koa to the nearest chair and sat her down while her cerebrum hovered in the air patiently. After closing her crown Robyn noticed an odd blue glow that emanated from the bottom of Koa's brain fissures. It was dull, almost like there was a core of electricity at its center. It shimmered across the entirety of her brain, leaving no facet of it without that mournful color. It mixed with the green of her brain to create an oceanic teal color. Robyn frowned. I'll have to check out what that is later. She summoned the same jar of green electrolytic fluid from downstairs and hovered it below Koa's brain. It lowered into the goop, totally ignorant of the world around it. Robyn turned around and walked to the basement door, whistling to herself. The jar and Koa's brain followed.
* * *
Koa woke up for the second time that day not knowing where she was or how she got there. When her eyes blinked open she saw the basement ceiling. Wait... Why was she here? The last thing she remembered was closing her eyes, anticipating Robyn's surprise. Robyn grabbed her hand and then... what? What happened after that? How long had she been down here? Did Robyn put her here?
Speaking of, Robyn came into the right side of her vision, smiling down at Koa. Koa jerked away. Was Robyn bigger? She looked like a giant. In fact, everything else was bigger too. Koa blinked one more time and licked her lips. Something was on them. It felt like fur. What is going on? Koa looked down. Before her was not her body, but a pudgy white underbelly surrounded by orange fur. Poking out from beneath that were two brown steppers. A dagger of shock stabbed her in the chest. When she tried wiggling her toes, she succeeded.
After a sharp inhale she let loose a terrified scream. It rippled through the basement with an icy thrum, turned shrill by the animalistic chords in Koa's new throat. Robyn went reeling back, hands planted over her ears and grimacing. Koa scurried back on the table. The Raichu instinct Robyn had the foresight to implant for her this time brought her to her tiny two feet, that whippy bolt tail drawn out behind her, ready to strike.
Robyn held her hands out in front of her. "Wait wait wait! Koa! It's OK! It's me!"
Koa tried demanding what had happened to her, but all that came out was something like infant garble, her tiny Raichu mouth hopeless in the means of articulation. She clapped her paws over it, shocked and embarrassed by her sudden loss of faculty.
She didn't see Robyn coming over, hands reached out for Koa's head. When she did her body jolted. There was a crackle of electricity in her tail, ready to strike. Koa gritted her teeth. Her paws balled into fists.
All of that came to an end when Robyn started scratching her behind the ears. She got her by the root, on the backside, the most sensitive part. At once Koa relaxed. Her eyes rolled back in her head and her tongue lolled. "Raaaaiiiii..." she groaned.
Robyn giggled. "There we go. That's a lot better." With the situation defused she could've stopped right there, but this was just too cute. She migrated her scritchy fingers down the side of Koa's head and to the underneath of her chin. Koa cocked her head back for her, a euphoric smile having implanted on her face. She fell backwards onto the table. One leg started kicking out beneath her, a symptom of her joy. With that bubbly belly exposed Robyn had no choice but to rub it. Was it particular to Raichu behavior to enjoy belly rubs? Absolutely not. That was universally loved.
Koa's eyes opened. She remembered that she had transformed into a Raichu, breaking the blissful trance. She batted Robyn's hands away and jumped up to her feet. Looking down at herself and twisting so that she could see her butt confirmed that she was in fact a Raichu. Her initial terror was now replaced by cautious delight. This had to have been some kind of trick or a dream. Did Robyn slip her a hallucinogen? Was she even capable of that?
A big smile came across Koa's chunky mouse face as she continued inspecting herself. She looked back up at Robyn finally and opened her mouth to speak before shutting it. She remembered that talking was difficult now.
That wasn't an issue for Koa, who spoke to her telepathically. So, how do you like your new body?
Koa jumped at the sound of Robyn's disembodied voice. Koa stammered. "Ra- Raichu..?" I... I like it? "Raichu!?" How did this happen? How are you talking to me?
Well, that's a long story, one you're probably not going to believe.
"Raichuuuuu..." I've been turned into a Raichu. I think I'll believe anything.
Robyn chuckled. Yeah, I guess you're right. In that case...
Robyn gave her the full story, from going to Osage's lab to performing brain surgery. She apologized for having gone behind Koa's back and doing all of those things. She admitted to being out of her depth with so much intelligence and that the first thing she should've done was tell Koa about it.
Koa heard all of that, but wasn't really listening. Robyn lost her by the time she started bringing up telepathy and psychokinesis. Robyn's vernacular was enormous and her storytelling was without stutter. She laid out information Koa couldn't fathom as casually as she would tell what she had for breakfast that morning. Here was the woman she had taken care of for years, the woman who didn't know how to tie her shoes until she was 13, rattling off facts unknown by the most fanatic of scientists and philosophers.
And that wasn't the end of it. "Look!" Robyn said. "I got a Pokémon body for me too!"
Robyn pulled up a chair and sat in it. Her eyes closed, and a moment later her head cap flew open and her brain rose out of it.
Koa felt her heart plummet. "Raichu?" Robyn? "Raichu!?" Robyn!?
She watched the brain hover over a nearby box, shrink, then fall into it. Then something came flying out. Koa thought it would hit the ceiling, but it quickly slowed and performed a dramatic spin. Robyn held her stubby limbs out and swung her tail into a crescent. Surprise!
Greater than the shock of knowing her girlfriend had become a Mew was seeing one in person. There was a great deal of contention between scientists whether it even existed or not. Sightings were sparse and usually debunked. Evidence was so rare that many people were of the firmest conviction that the creature simply did not exist.
Here Koa was staring at one, one that just so happened to be her genius girlfriend.
Robyn floated up to her slack-jawed girlfriend. So? What do you think?
Koa's mouth twitched for a few moments before she could talk. Her words continued to come out as Raichu-speak. ""
Robyn grinned. Isn't it?
"[But...]"
Robyn's smile faltered. What?
"[How do I know it's the real you? I mean, after everything that's happened to your brain, is it still the same Robyn in there?]"
Oh. Well, you know it's the same me because I love you. I went out of my way to do all of this. Would anybody else besides Robyn do that?
Koa had to think. "[No.]"
I didn't think so. Robyn floated down to her and they both hugged. It'll always be me. Don't you worry.
Koa squeezed her. "[Good.]"
When they let go Robyn floated back upwards. Oh! One more thing. When I was moving your brain, I-
WoooooooOOOOOOOOOO-!!!
It came from outside, swooping through the walls as a great wail that dipped in pitch once it passed. There came another, this one trilling madly. Police sirens, a whole platoon of them. They were barreling down the road in front of their house. Robyn flew to the slot window near the ceiling and saw more of them zoom past, kicking up a great storm of dust.
Uh oh. That's not good.
"[What is it?]" Koa asked, worried. "[The police?]"
Yeah. Robyn zoomed to her computer and quickly typed into the search engine for local news. Oh no! The town bank's being robbed. Police say hostages are being held.
Koa covered her mouth with her paws. "[Oh no! We have to do something about it!]"
Robyn gave her a shocked look. What? How? What are we gonna do?
"You can teleport, right? We can teleport in behind them and make a distraction. I have powers that'll make their guns useless.]"
Robyn's ears folded. I don't like this.
"[Well we can't just sit back and let people get hurt! We have to use our powers for good!]"
Robyn bowed her head and pinched the bridge of her snout. OK, fine, but if we die I'm gonna kill you.
Koa smiled at her. "[Trust me. So long as we're together, nobody's gonna die. I won't let it happen.]"

Five men were sticking the bank up. The front entrance had been barricaded and every other door covered. The hostages, all in their suits and skirts, were sitting in a row behind a desk that had been turned over. Some of them wept, some held on to the person next to them, and others were deep in prayer. Holding them down was a man with a submachine gun. His face was concealed by a ski mask like his partners. A black bullet-proof vest hung over his trunk. A belt of spare magazines ran around his waist. There lingered the smell of burnt cordite from when he had fired a burst into the ceiling, creating a row of bullet holes that had bled thin columns of plaster.
His comrades were hiding behind various desks, hands on their rifles and shotguns, weary of police snipers. Entire gym bags of money were heaped in a pile. The sirens wailed outside, flickering their cobalt blue through the thin sections of window that remained unblocked. One officer hollered through a megaphone, demanding their surrender. They were met with grim reticence.
Koa and Robyn materialized in the vault, now empty, where none of the robbers had decided to keep watch. Koa took in her surroundings, flinging her electric ears around as her head darted about the place.
"[Wow. Never been in a bank vault before. Kinda wish the reason was a bit better. Think you can come up with a plan for us?]" Koa asked as she came scampering over on her fours, a move she didn't know she could do. ""
Yes you do. I've downloaded Raichu instincts into your brain. You'll be able to do anything your average Raichu can.
"[Are you sure?]"
Yeah. Trust me.
Koa took a deep breath. "[Alright. I trust you.]" She balled her little paws in front of her chest and put on a brave face. Lightning crackled out of her cheeks. "[Let's do this.]"
Robyn smiled. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but let's not go in headfirst. We'll need a distraction.
"[Yeah. How are we gonna do that?]"
_Like this._Suddenly Robyn started to glow, forcing Koa to shield her eyes. When the light dimmed Koa looked to see Robyn back in a human form, but here she was wearing a skimpy blue dress with a fat bosom and swollen hind end. On her feet were a pair of matching heels. She smiled down at Koa. "How's this?"
Koa blinked. "[How's that? I think you should take that form more often.]"
"Oh, hush. I'll go in and distract them. I'll disarm them and then you come in when the time is right. Got it?"
Koa nodded. "[Got it!]"
"Good. Alright. Let's get this show on the road."
The robbers heard the vault creak on its hinges. They all spun around and saw Robyn standing there in her beautiful dress, showing off an ample length of cleavage and a blinding amount of glowing white thigh. There was a rattling of metal and plastic as every gun in the building was pointed at her.
She didn't flinch. "Hey boys. Whatcha got going on around here?"
"Get the fuck down!" barked the man with a submachine gun.
She ignored him and started walking towards them. "Now is that anyway to talk to a lady?"
He jabbed the gun barrel at her. "I said get the fuck down!"
"Please, don't be so rude. I'm not afraid of any of you boys. You can't hurt me." Her smile faded. "But I can hurt you."
Then came a wretched noise like nobody in there had ever heard before. It was the sound of metal screeching. The robbers' guns folded in their hands like rice paper, becoming useless balls of steel as dangerous as a rock.
They didn't have time to register what had just happened before a Raichu came barreling through Robyn's legs. It came to a stop in the very middle of the bank, standing on her hind legs. Her cheeks began to crackle. A cerulean glow shone from her eyes and around her body.
"Raaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiii-!"
* * *
The negotiator had just rolled up to the scene in a bullet proof van when suddenly there was a blinding yellow flash from within the bank. It blasted through the windows like strobe lights, illuminating the daylight outside and making each officer duck. A sound like thunder made the entire building shake. A few people screamed.
Then there was silence. The police looked up at the bank from behind their cars wearily. Had the robbers ignited a bomb? Were the hostages dead? Were they too late? Then the front door flew open. Every gun the police had was leveled, only to be pulled back once they recognized the flood of hostages running, screaming, and crying down the front steps. The officers all shared a look. Those that didn't help the hostages out of the way went storming into the bank.
They braced for a shootout, but found something nobody expected. There were sections of the walls covered in black soot with human outlines in the middle. The robbers were all in the center of the floor, tied up with phone cords and computer cables. Their clothes hung off their bodies in tatters and their hair was in spikes. Their heads were all hung, their eyes in a daze. The cops all looked at each other.
Who the hell did all this?
* * *
The girls were back home, safe and sound, not a scratch on them. Robyn was back as a Mew, holding Koa's forepaws. The two of them swung each other around, Robyn floating in the air, smiles beaming on their faces.
You were amazing! Robyn told her. I'm so proud of you!
"[Are you kidding? You did all of the heavy lifting! I couldn't of done it without you!]"
They continued a back and forth of attributing credit before their spin had to come to a stop. They were both out of breath, not just from the spinning but from the effort back at the bank. As it turns out, teleporting, transforming, and performing psychokinesis all in a short amount of time is pretty tiring. So is launching a five-pronged thunderbolt full-tilt. Both of them were sweating. Their little hearts were pounding in their chests.
You wanna lay down? Robyn asked, her panting coming separately from her thoughts.
Koa nodded. "[Yeah. That sounds good.]"
The two of them headed to the bedroom. Koa climbed the bed and Robyn floated herself down next to her. The two of them snuggled up to each other, bathing in their collective heat and smell. Robyn nuzzled Koa's neck.
Hey.
"[Yeah?]"
My feet are pretty sore and sweaty. Think you can clean them for me?
Koa smiled brightly. It didn't surprise her that Robyn knew about her special interest. "[Of course~]"
Koa crawled over towards Robyn's feet while Robyn rolled onto her back. Koa laid on her tummy between Robyn's legs, her face sitting right in a cloud of smelly Mew steppers. She took on her paw. The fur was miraculously soft, the flesh light and pliant. Just three nubby toes sprouted from the top of it. Rising from the soles were pudgy, pink paw pads. She planted her cold mouse nose on one and gave it a kiss, sending a shiver up Robyn's spine.
Mmmmmm. That feels good.
Even better was Koa licking her tiny pink tongue up Robyn's foot, making the toes splay out on reflex. The texture was soft on the bridge, rougher on the paw pads, all of it flavored by a thin sheen of salty foot water. Koa slid her tongue through the cracks in her toes, eventually fitting the big one in her mouth, then the entire top half of Robyn's foot. Her tongue went in circles around it, bulging her lips out with each pass. Once it had been cleaned of all sweat up to the ankle she moved to the other one. She took her sweet time, sighing hot air on Robyn's wet skin and looking up at her to remind her how much she loved her.
Koa's mouth came off her foot with a wet pop. She smiled up at Robyn, a single strand of spit coming down her lip. "[How's that?]"
Mmmmm, that was heavenly. Want some more?

Both of their skull caps flipped open. Out hovered their brains, suspended above the lifeless Pokémon below before they swapped places and the caps fell shut. Koa blinked, but not as the Raichu. She was looking at her former self, there being a soft Mew tummy in between. She lifted her paw and saw how pink it was. Oh shit!
Raichu Robyn giggled. "[Neat, huh?]"
Super neat. Now let me at those toes~
"[Gladly~]"
And so the two of them resumed, their roles the same, their bodies different. Mew Koa took great delight in suckling the Raichu's sweaty digits, a dream she had dwelled on for a long time but never had the joy of achieving. She made up for lost time, sucking Robyn down to the ankles and absorbing every drop of her sweat.
Koa came off with a giggle and a kiss on Robyn's foot. She floated into the air and came back down on her back, facing her feet to Robyn's. They pressed their feet together, wiggling toes and glancing soles in a playful game of footsy. Koa scratched Robyn's paw pads with her nails. Robyn clenched her toes over the top of Koa's. They slid heels down each other's shins, then back up to the ankles. Back and forth they went, giggling like idiots, adoring the feel of their feet on one another's, unable to get enough.
At last the game came to an end and the two of them cuddled face-to-face. Their tails were swooped up behind the other's backs. Their paws were laced together. Their eyes were closed.
Today was fun, said Koa.
"[Mmhmm,]"
I'm glad you did all of this, and I'm so happy to see you able to do these things.
"[I'm glad too. I did it all for you.]"
I know you did, and I'm proud of you. I love you.
"[I love you too.]"
The two of them shared a kiss on the nose. Within minutes they were asleep, a new life and a new world ahead of them.
