Chapter 1: The runic Lucario

It is a sunny day around Mt. Coronet and a young man with light brown shoulder long hair, black jeans, a white shirt and black sunglasses, with a sword by his side, is walking along Mt. Coronet with a Weavile beside him, when the peace is shattered by a scream of pain.

"What?!" The Weavile cried out and got in an battle position, the man look towards where the sound came from.

"That didn't sound to good, come Zelvina." With that he began to run with the Weavile right behind him. After a few moments they saw a pack of Mightyenas around a wounded and unconscious Lucario while growling and snarling and preparing to tear into the Lucario. The man looked at the Weavile. "Up for a 1 vs. 5 fight." He said with a smile and the Weavile grinned back.

"Sure Will, always" she then jumped in front of him "Hey mutts, how about you go and sniff to some butts somewhere else." She said with a smirk, Will shook his head.

"That's just like you Zelvina," he said while smiling as the Mightyenas turned towards the Weavile growling in rage at her word "you know just how to enrage another." She smiled at his words.

"Well they don't see so interested in that Lucario right now..."she smirked again "I think it works better that truant." Then the first Mightyena attack but Zelvina jumped over it while slashing with her claws leaving claw marks on its back while it fell down crying in pain. Then another Mightyena lunched a Hyper Beam at the Weavile but she dodged it and countered it with a Ice beam Freezing the Mightyena. She then looked at the two Mightyenas one writhing in pain on the ground the other frozen. "Is that the best you ass sniffing, half-breed mutts can do?" She truanted them enraging the remaining three Mightyenas even more.

Will shook his head again while smiling. 'Calling them half-breeds might be going too far.' He thought to himself as the three Mightyenas attack her with Fire Fang but Zelvina just stood still while smiling an evil smile, as the Mightyenas got closer she unleashed her Blizzard attack blowing the three Mightyenas away from her while partly freezing them. While standing there with a smirk on her face Will saw the first Mightyena get back up on its feet preparing to attack Zelvina again with an Iron Tail attack. "Watch out Zelvina, behind you." Will Shouted just as the Mightyena attack, she wasn't able to avoid it in time and it hit her hard and the Mightyena smirked at her getting his revenge but he froze at the smile she send him.

"That wasn't bad little doggy," she pulled back her paw "allow me to show you how good it was" and she hit him with her Counter attack sending him flying a few feet back before hitting a rock wall leaving an imprint on the wall before falling down barely conscious, she then turned to the other four that was slowly getting up on shaky legs "if I were you mutts I'll run while I had the chance and not return." She watched as the Mightyenas went to their fallen pack mate and helped him up before getting away as fast as they could. She turn towards the Lucario and found her Trainer beside the Pokémon, treating its wounds with potions before bandaging its wounds.

"Zelvina we need to find a cave or something to rest in until our friend here has recovered from her." Zelvina looked closer at the Lucario and saw that her Trainer was right it was a female.

"Okay I'll find one just stay here and call out Erinoa to help protect you, I'll not sure the Mightyenas won't try and attack again." He nodded as he took one of his other two Pokéballs from his belt.

"Okay I think you right now go." He said as he released a Ninetales beside him.

"Hallo Master, what do you need?" She asked as she looked around seeing the remains from the battle and the wounded Lucario.

"A pack of Mightyenas was attack this Lucario and Zelvina took care of them" the Ninetales nodded understanding "now she's out looking for a cave where we can take care of our friend here in peace..." he then smiled "but Zelvina is afraid that the Mightyenas would return when she wasn't here so she thought it best to call you for protection... and I agree with her, we don't know if they'll return so you're on guard duty my dear." She smiled at him and gave him a soft lick on the cheek.

"And it's my pleasure to be." She said as she sat down while scanning the surroundings for any threats to her master. Meanwhile Will began to treat the Lucario's wounds with potions before bandaging them but there were something strange about this Lucario. One, she had no chest spike second there were strange lightly glowing runic symbols all her body and that was definitely not normal.

A while later Zelvina returned running at full speed and used a moment to regain her breath after stopping and looking at Will.

"There is a cave a little way to the Northwest of here." Will caressed her behind her ears for a moment.

"Well done Zelvina thank you" he then took his last pokéball "Come out Alisia I need your help." He said as he released the Pokémon inside and as the red beam took shape a soft and feminine voice said.

"What can I do for you Master Will." And Will smiled as the red beam fade revealing a Gardevoir smiling at him.

"I need you to use you telekinesis to carry this Lucario to a cave a little to the Northwest where we'll set up camp and treat her wounds until she's recovered from her injuries." Alisia nodded her head and her eyes began to glow bright blue and the Lucario slowly lifted from the ground and they all began to walk with Zelvina leading the way to the cave.

It was early and the sun was low in the horizon and it was clear the it was going to be a sunny day but for a lone Lucario, with strange runes all over her body, who was just waking up from an uncomfortable sleep, she sighed as she slowly got up while munching on some barriers she had gathered the day before as she began her journey again. She walked slowly through the forest with the towering Mt. Coronet to her right when a howl sounded around her and she saw a pack of five Mightyenas surrounding her. "Well well, look what we have here, some easy prey." One of the Mightyenas ,seemingly the leader of the pack, said as he licked his chops while they all walked closer, then one of the other sniffed the air and a smile crossed his muzzle.

"That's not all Varo, she's also a bitch and I think her heat is only a few days away maybe only week at most and she don't seem to be to strong right now..." he then looked at his leader with a mischief look in his eyes before looking back at the clearly weakened Lucario with a lustful stare "we could beat her and take her as our breeding bitch so we can expand our pack." Varo looked at him and a lustful smile crossed his muzzle.

"Good idea Tram I like it," he then smiled at the others "come on boys, let's show this bitch her place." He said as he prepared to attack.

Tram smiled as he began to dig into the ground disappearing from sight, while the three other Mightyenas charged the Lucario with two of them using Take Down while the third used Giga Impact sending the Lucario flying back screaming in pain as she hit a tree before falling down on the ground unable to move from the pain from the impact with the tree and the exhaustion from the past few days of travel but then she felt even more pain Varo's fangs bid down on her shoulder with Fire Fang while keeping her still then the ground in front of her erupted as the last Mightyena attack her with his Dig attack sending her flying her again before landing on the ground barely conscious, as she saw the five Mightyenas get closer darkness begun to fill her vision and a tear ran down her cheek but just before the darkness swallowed her she saw a human figure and a smaller figure beside it.

She slowly regained conscious, not sure where she was or what had happened. She could feel an warmth close by, properly a fire, and that the pain wasn't as strong as before and that her wounds had been treated, which ruled out the Mightyenas, she slowly open her eyes and looked around. She saw that she was in a cave and by the entrance of the cave she saw a Weavile looking out at the surrounding area, she then saw a Gardevoir sitting by the cave wall seemingly meditating, or resting, she then saw a Ninetales laying beside a bonfire relaxing with closed eyes then on the other side of the fire she saw a human, with a sword laying on the ground beside him, staring into the fire.

After a while he turned his head and look into her eyes, he then smiled at her. "Good to see that you're awake, I was begin to fear that you were more injured that I thought," he said then laughed a little and looked at the Gardevoir "although Alisia here is a really good healer, if she couldn't save you then there's few in this world that could and most of those would've been legendaries and quite hard to find," he then stood up and went over to her and kneeled down beside her "how are you feeling? And if I may ask what is your name," he smiled at her "my name Will by the way," he the frown "or more precisely my name is William Delmar but I always go by the name Will," he then looked at the Ninetales "and she is Erinoa and the Weavile over there is Zelvina." The Lucario looked at him then gave a little genially smile, the first one in a long.

"My name is Runin and I take it that you and your friends saved me from the Mightyenas?" Will nodded and directed with his head towards the Weavile.

"Yes I had Zelvina take care of them," he looked at her again "I guess that you must have been quite weakened to be beaten by them as that hardly seemed wounded when we arrived." She looked at him then down to the ground.

"Yes I was quite weakened, I had had much to eat in day and I hadn't had a good night's sleep in a long time and I've been on the road for months on my own." Her ears lowered to her skull and Will looked at her.

"It must have been lonely and hard." She nodded her head while still looking down at the cave floor, he sighed before carefully placing his hand on her shoulder.

"I can't do anything about the past but if you would you're welcome to come with me for as long as you like," he said as he caressed her cheek softly with his hand "and I'm glad that we came in time to save you from being eaten by those Mightyenas." He felt her shudder as he mentioned the Mightyenas eating her before she raised her head and looked into his eyes and he almost fell back as he saw the terror in her eyes.

"They weren't going to eat me..." she said and shuddered again "they were going to do something even worse to me." He looked at her not sure what she meant, at this time the others were looking at them wanting to hear what she meant, she took a deep breath.
