Through The Ranks- Part Two: Exie
#2 of Through The Ranks
Ok part two!! This one is a little bit longer. I have a general idea about where the story is going but things are kinda happening along the way. Exie is actually new to me and I quite like her. She will be important later on, I can feel it. Anyways, if there are grammar or punctuation mistakes I'm sorry. I was just so eager to get this second part out, :D

Darkness.
Marina groaned and rolled over off her pack. Luckily nothing was breakable in there but it certainly did not make for a good bed. She checked her watch. She'd been out for about half an hour. What had happened?
Marina used the light from her watch and pulled a map from her bag. She scanned it quickly. It should have just been a curve and then a bit more. Wait. Marina leaned in closer and saw some small print next to the curve. Drop.
"Lovely," she whispered.
After repacking her bag, Marina set off again. The vents were larger here so she was able to walk. Her next stop would be in a common busy area where people could easily use the lifts to get from one floor to another. She would take one lift down to the lower floors where travelers and commoners did their business and find someplace to bunk for the remainder of the night. Then it would be time to smuggle herself into the new recruits being brought in in the morning. Her name was already on the list, she was just not on the ship. She needed to be in that mess of people when they were taken off the ship. The ship crew and loading crew would not check papers with each other.
Marina found her exit and timed her submersion into the crowd as it bustled too and fro. Marina looked around wide-eyed. She'd never seen such a vast variety of furs. Correction, she'd never seen so many exotic ones. A pair of dragons were currently arguing with a vendor about the price of something. Both kept their wings tightly folded against them to avoid them getting pulled by a passerby. She spotted some serpentine dancers off to the side wearing flashy silks and bright coins. One of them had a traveling reptile down on his knees before her. He seemed completely lost in her world, and Marina noticed that they never broke eye contact.
So many wonderful sights and sounds. Marina didn't have any money on her, and even if she did she wouldn't have been able to buy anything. New recruits were only allowed so much their first day. After she'd established a place for herself she would certainly be back here. A few more levels down provided the main market district. It was late time wise but still busy as ever. Marina decided that there was too much to do to sleep tonight. Besides, the new recruits would be waking up from their sedatives and would be woozy. A night of no sleep and this much excitement should make her like them.
~
"Oy, look at you sods. Why can't they ever pack you right."
A burly shepard unbuckled a dainty little ferret and casually tossed her over his shoulder. As he carried her from the pod Marina slipped in and buckled herself to one of the empty stands. Getting here had been a chore but it was nearly over. That's when this whole fiasco could really start.
"Well now, you're a pretty thing."
Marina steeled herself from making any movement or facial expression as a paw reached out and played over her face. She hadn't expected the next loader to choose her that fast. Nor had she expected any of them to paw at the recruits. Disgusting. Marina's breath caught as the loader began pawing at her breasts. Surely they didn't do this to all the female recruits while they were still asleep?
The princess let her head loll forward as if his movement had dislodged it and the loader instantly stopped for fear she may be waking. He unstrapped her and Marina let herself go limp. He caught her neatly and picked her up gently in his arms. He carried her to the waking beds and placed her in the one next to the ferret. As he walked away Marina peeked her eyed at him. He was a spotted hyena. She would remember him.
"Are you awake?"
Marina started at the ferret beside her. She forgot to play the part,
"What?"
"Oh good. Me too. I started waking up when that brute threw me over his shoulder. Oh! Here he comes."
They both went still again as the first loader brought in the next recruit. One he was gone, the ferret's eyes snapped open again.
"He touched me! What a pervert. On the way here his hand was all over my ass and when he put me down here he pawed at my," the ferret stopped there and looked away.
"You could report it you know," Marina said softly.
"No! We're not even supposed to be awake yet. I think it's just my body type and energy. I think it burned off the drugs quicker."
They went silent again as the hyena returned with a fourth fur. When he was gone the ferret giggled.
"It was actually kind of exhilarating. I mean I know it's wrong but damn," she giggled again. "I'm Exie."
"Ari," Marina said.
Exie giggled again before settling back in the bed and going silent. Marina resumed her own sleep stance once more and became thoughtful. Something like that would have never been tolerated being done to her or her sisters. It was wrong. Yet this ferret didn't seem too terribly bothered by it. In addition to that, why was her sister performing that kind of act with the jaguar guard? There was apparently a lot more about the fur society that she was kept sheltered from. Marina was going to stick out like a sore thumb if she didn't learn fast.
Sighing, Marina turned over and nestled down into her pillow. She would listed of signs for the other recruits waking and then join them in the process.
~
"Come on now folks. All the drugs should be out of your system now. The drowsy feeling will remain for a while yet but tomorrow you will get no more time to recoup."
Marina woke with a start and sat up. They all faced a large fur standing before them holding a clipboard. Marina stared at him in awe. He was huge! He was obviously feline but what was he?
"Roll call," he said, tapping a pen to paper. "When I call your name present yourself."
Marina felt herself tremble. Present herself? Was this something she would have learned to do before coming here? She watched carefully as the first few recruits were calling and felt her nerves go down a bit. They simply stood at attention and confirmed their name. Marina had studied as much as she could about the rankings on her ship. This giant fur before her was obviously the recruiting captain but she hadn't found his profile in the database. Marina did her bit when her alias was called and stood there until everyone was done.
"Follow the hallway on your right to the end and sign in there. You will receive your starter pack with your uniform and identification. From there you will be shown to your dorms. Once there unpack and then go out and get familiar with the market. Most of you will start out patrolling there at least once a week. Final lights out is midnight. Expect to be up early early early," the officer boomed. "Have fun."
The new recruits surged forward into the hallway and down to the end. Marin found herself signing papers and then shoved in front of a bright light. She stared right ahead as directed with no smile. Another bright light and needle prick later. Marina was handed a badge and a bag then directed down another hallway. Suddenly she was alone. She blinked several times in wonderment and looked down.
"That's a good picture," said a bright voice beside her.
Exie held up her own. The ferret's lips were obviously trying not to smile and her eyes were extremely wide.
"I look silly," she said. "Why won't they let us smile?"
Marina shook her head and shrugged. Exie giggled and took her hand, dragging the wolf with her. She was glad to let Exie do this because the ferret obviously knew how to read the signs that directed them to their dorm.
"I love that we're bunking together! What are the odds? This is going to be such an amazing thing. I can't wait to start training. It's going to be hard. I know they're going to be tough on me cause I'm so small. I'll show them though."
Marina looked around their room. It was small but looked like it could become very cozy. Two beds on either side of the room, two desks, and two dressers made up the furniture.
"Do you have a preference on which side?" Marina asked her new friend.
"Hm, probably the right. If that's okay?"
Marina nodded, "That's perfect."
Exie chittered and threw herself on the right bed and rolled around. She giggled and hugged her pillow.
"Hurry and get your stuff settled. I want to go see the market!"
~
"I can't wait to get my first paycheck," Exie said excitedly as she gaped at some of the market stalls. "So many precious things here."
"I've heard this station is one of the best places to find stuff like this," Ari the wolf said.
Exie nodded absently as she bought her and her new friend some treats. Ari didn't have any money on her at all. How odd. She wondered what kind of background she came from. She was so reserved and seemed so out of place. Whatever her upbringing, she seemed to enjoy Exie's company and that was enough for the ferret. She would gently poke and prod this fur until she opened up.
Ari's face lit up as she tried the sweets, "This is delicious. I've never tasted anything so amazing."
Exie giggled, "This is common on many stations. I can't believe you've never had it before."
Ari shook her head and chewed silently. Her eyes were glazed over in thought and Exie happily left her there. This was the beginning of the poke and prod. At least the girl was showing some more excitement now. They filtered around the market more and explored every nook and alley they could find. They memorized the names and landmarks in relation to the central fountain.
"I have a feeling this is going to be a slow process learning how to move around here without having to stop and think about it," Ari said. "And this is only level one."
"There are more levels?" Exie asked.
Ari looked panicked for a moment before slowly nodding, "Um, yeah. I did some research before coming here. This is the main market floor. There are two more below it that cater to other more specific needs."
"Oh, well let's go see them then! How do we get there?"
Ari blinked a few times as if trying to find an answer. Exie got the impression that she was pretending not to know. There was certainly more to this wolf than she had first thought. Exie smiled. Just like her there was more than met the eye.
"I think I saw a lift back towards that vendor with the jeweled mirrors," Ari said finally.
"Come on then!"
Exie took Ari's hand and pulled her in that direction. Just as she thought, the furs paw was trembling and clammy. She was nervous. Exie pretended not to notice. She would play delightfully oblivious until her friend trusted her enough to open up.
"There's a club hosting a big bash tonight," Exie said as she hurried back to where she'd left Ari.
"I thought you went to the bathroom?" Ari laughed.
She was much more at ease now than earlier.
"I did," she said. "Some of the other new recruits were in there talking about it. If we flash our badge we get in free."
"I'm not sure," Ari said with a catch in her voice. "I've never done anything like that before."
"Really?" Exie cocked her head. "Strict upbringing?"
Ari gave her friend a small smile, "Something like that."
"Well you're here now. We've got a long road ahead of us and this is our last night to have some serious fun for a while."
Ari frowned, "But I was having fun already."
Exie giggled, "Grown up fun."
Ari gave her a blank stare. The silence drew out and Exie suddenly realized why her friend was so unsure about herself.
"Oh, I see now!" Exie giggled again. "You're a virgin."
If Ari's fur hadn't been so dark Exie could guarantee there's be a very bright blush going on around the wolf's cheeks. As it was she had the grace to flatten her ears and look away.
"I know what it is," Ari said quietly.
"It's nothing to be ashamed about," Exie assured her. "It just explains why you're all uptight."
Ari's head snapped back, "Uptight?"
"Calm down wolfy. What I mean is you've had a strict upbringing right?" Ari nodded. "You've probably had to talk and everything but you're unsure about the world. You're unsure about who you are in full and uncomfortable with your sexuality."
Ari shook her head, "My father does not approve of such frivolity."
"Well, he's not here is he?" Exie said slyly. "It doesn't mean you have to go around yiffing every guy in sight. You don't even have to yiff a single one. It simply means being comfortable with who you are and what you desire. You don't exactly have to give in to that desire."
Ari's ear twitched, "Have you?"
"Yes, but mine was strictly for the yiff. It's a natural part of our society. Now some obviously don't have the privilege of being so casual, but people like me it really doesn't make too much of a difference."
Ari seemed to be cracking under the curiosity. She looked around nervously as if afraid their conversation would be overheard.
"What was it like?"
Exie giggled, "Wonderful. My first time was with this big muscle bound bear. I think he set a pattern for me because I like my men large." She giggled again. "It did hurt at first. I think it a little more so since this guy was big. I mean he was really big." She smiled at Ari's embarrassment. "But after I got used to him it was simply the best feeling. No one has come close to him yet."
"You've had many partners?" Ari asked wide-eyed.
"A few more. Only one girl though. The rest were male."
Ari choked. Exie patted her on the back until she stopped coughing.
"You uh had relations with a female?"
"Of course. I'm Bi." Exie tilted her head. "That's the main reason I joined this military instead of my own. It has a far higher standard of sexual tolerance than mine."
Ari took a deep breath, "I'm sorry I reacted like that. I don't think it's bad or anything. It was just a shock to hear. I've been severely sheltered."
Exie grinned, "No worries. So how about that party?"
~
Ari was nervous as hell. She and Exie had gotten into the club just fine with their military identification and the first thing they'd seen was a pair of rabbits yiffing in a corner booth. Everyone was so free with their touching and their movement. Ari, she had to start think of herself as such, was glued to her own seat while watching Exie being sandwiched between a male horse and a female zebra. Both were very free with their touching of her little ferret friend as they danced. Perhaps she'd had one too many drinks.
"Come on, Ari," Exie giggled, rushing over. "Come dance."
"I can't," Ari admitted. "I don't feel comfortable with all this closeness."
Exie chittered, "Well you won't get over it sitting here. Come on. Touch and be touched."
Ari resigned and let her friend drag her out onto the dance floor. Exie started to position her between herself and the Zebra but she wasn't ready for that. Instead she turned so that she would be between the horse and Exie. The horse nodded his head at her and closed in.
Ari took a deep breath and let her body take over with the rhythm. She wanted the confidence Exie was reeking with so much. The little speech her friend had given her had really hit home. Would something like this really help cure her?
Ari felt the horses body meld itself to hers. She felt his hardness pressing into her back. She couldn't blame him for it with the way Exie had been on him. She just kept dancing. His hands played along her waist and stroked at her sides in time with the beat. The flashing lights became too much and Ari closed her eyes.
The horse moved closer and bent down to kiss her neck gently. Ari let her head roll back as she'd been her sister do and was rewarded with his hands cupping both her breasts. She was outraged for a split second before the tingling feeling started. She heard Exie giggle and fought hard to stop herself from fleeing when she felt a female form press against her front. She opened her eyes and through dim lighting she could just make out the back of Exie. The zebra had her pinned up against Ari with one of the ferrets legs wrapped around that slender stripped waist.
The horse groaned behind her as he watched the spectacle and pressed himself harder against Ari's back. Exie let out a moan on her own as the zebra's head disappeared beneath the ferrets shirt and her hand down Exie's pants. Ari froze when the she felt the horse working at her pants button. She grabbed his hands and dug her claws in.
"Alright little lady, no harm done," he whispered in her ear. "Strictly dry."
Ari had no idea what that meant but was grateful when he pulled away. She slipped back to the booth and tried scanning the crowd for Exie. There was no sign of the ferret, so she'd wait.
~
Exie groaned as the large horse member worked itself in and out of her mouth. He was big, and she liked that. He still didn't compare to her bear though. Why did she always compare everyone to him? She groaned again and sucked him harder as her own fleshy mound was behind pleasured by the skillful tongue of the very nicely shaped zebra.
How they'd ended up in this little room above the club she would probably never know. It appears they were not the first here tonight, nor the last most likely. The zebra smacked the ferrets ass for her pause and Exie continued moving her hips around and sucking on the horse. His eyes were rolled back and the groans emitting from his open mouth were oddly stimulating. She wanted to hop on and ride him but the zebra was the one running the show.
She pulled Exie away from the horse's large member and kissed her. Exie kissed back roughly and found her paws running and groping at the zebra's breasts. They were perked up and dripping from Exie's own juices. She rubbed them in like lotion and kissed deeper as the zebra moaned.
"I think the little one wants a ride," the zebra said in a husky voice.
The horse scooted down, his hard member glistening in the air. Exie clambered towards it eagerly but the zebra caught her tail and pulled her back. Exie whimpered.
"Slowly," the zebra said.
Exie positioned herself above the horse and spread her thighs. The zebra worked the horses rock hard anatomy and slowly allowed the ferret to lower herself onto it. Exie gasped out loud as the head spread her wide and groaned loudly as the rest of him filled her.
"Good little girl," the zebra whispered.
Exie couldn't hold back any longer. She wiggled her hips around working the rest of the horse inside her and then began thrusting them forward to pump him in and out. The zebra positioned herself so that the horse could busy his tongue inside her. She bent forward and grabbed Exie's breasts pulling as them as the ferret bounced up and down on the horse.
All three members moaned and writhed in the waves of pleasure that struck them all at once. Juices flowed in every direction. The zebra toppled sideways and Exie had to crawl away. The horse's still stiff member pulled out of her with a soft pop and dangled in the musky air.
~
"Ari? Wake up, Ari."
Ari woke with a start. The club was nearly cleared out and the workers were starting to clean up. Exie stood in front of her in an awful state.
"What happened to you?"
Exie's clothes were ripped in several places. He hair was wild and she was dripping in sweat. She frowned and shook her head.
"Don't let me drink. Ever again. Come on, we have to sneak back in."
Ari was confused but she and thee ferret made a run for the dorms. Surprisingly they didn't run into anyone. Exie fell into her bed with a soft whimper and was soon completely passed out. Ari crawled into her own bed and reflected. What had seemed like a simple plan was now becoming vastly more complicated and involved. What next?
