"So, how long have you two been ..." he began, not knowing what word he should be using to describe them.

."

stop doing that?" His Digimon's eyes drooped in sadness, and he looked away. Great. Now he had made his Digimon unhappy. he told himself.

From what he was looking at, Oliver quickly came to the conclusion that there were no master architects among Digimon. What there was a fairly large city/fort like complex that had been constructed of roughly-hewn logs and stone. Still ... it was quite an achievement for them. The two Digimon apparently shared this sentiment, judging by the way they were looking at the three stories of log buildings that comprised the 'city'.

"OI! Anyone back there!?" she yelled.

"Why are you staring?" It seemed fairly stressed from the attention. After all; it's not everyday a Mega and an Armored Champion with their tamer's cross anyone's path. Still. It bothered her. And it was in her way. Jes resisted the urge to knock someone's lights out, instead pointing at the gate.

Jamie, her said Tamer, didn't seem to want to keep quiet as it is normally intelligent to do so "Whoo... Clever..."

Of course it was clever! That was the entire point! She was sure that Jamie didn't want to know how close she was to whipping around and punching him in the face. Between Lex, Oliver, and Jamie, she had taken about all the stupidity she could handle for one day. "Gah!" She kept her balance... just "" That stupid pile of dry goods didn't seem to affected, just floating back a little. Jes grumbled to herself, continuing. And she thought Jamie had issues. That creature was unbearable.

Where are you, Nedremon? She could barely contain her rage as an Angewomon sided up with "HOW MANY TIMES MUST I SAY NO!?!" His reptilian face was contorted in fury.

whorestorm off with a small degree of satisfaction. She walked up to him... looking up. He spotted her and returned the stare. They stood absolutely still for a momentary moment, with her eyes locked.

She could kill him, that would bring her a little bit of satisfaction. She could maim him for life. That might be a little more fulfilling. She stared down on him as his face paled.WHY, DAMN IT, WHY!?! Lex wasn't really interested in what any of the others were doing in the city. Just it's was enough to fascinate him. Looking in one direction, then in another, the Magusmon did his best to take in everything that he could. Everything looked like it had been made out of trees that someone had cut from the ground and made into more or less rectangular pieces. It was incredible. There were Digimon walking around, talking. Different types, different sub-types, different races...it was incredible. No one attacked him on sight. No one even yelled at him. It was wonderful! Slightly unconsciously, he made his way behind Jes once again. She didn't seem like she was very interested in the city itself. When he was finally able to drag his attention away from the buildings, the Digimon, and the fact that no one cared what he was, he followed Jes' eyes up to a point in what seemed to be the center of the city, occupied by one Digimon in particular.

"HOW MANY TIMES MUST I SAY NO?!"

She might actually to me!

"When-was-all-this-erected-anyway?-How-long-has-it-been-here?-How-long-have--been-here?" He bombarded her with questions, having never had the opportunity to speak to anyone like this. Jes was far too antisocial, and Oliver was just...quiet. But this Angewomon would talk to him!

"Then what do you do with yourself from day to day?"

nothing." Her giggle rose in magnitude. The degree at which Lex's head was cocked increasingly. Her giggle rose again, and she quickly grabbed the crook of one of his arms, pulling him along the ground behind her. There was no resistance since he wasn't the ground, but she still had a visibly difficult time doing it as spasm after spasm of laughter racked her body. After a few hundred feet of movement, she pulled him into one of the log buildings that composed the city. Giggling madly, she used her free hand to throw off her helmet, giving him a smile.

He wanted her to see him, he really did...but what could he do? He pursed his lips a little and held back a tear that was forming. The little bit of concentration that it required for him to maintain the glowing energy around his hands broke, and the swirling blue plasma disappeared. He closed his eyes tightly and waited for her next reaction--what he was sure was going to be jumping away from him.

be happening. It was to be happening.

"Hi..." he widened his smile hopefully. He hoped his luck would last. This was already too good to be true. In return he got a wide-eyed stare from the Angewomon. He met the stare with a hopeful look of his own. He was about to ask her if there was something wrong, but before he could, she jumped onto him, pushing him to the ground with a loud giggle.

"Ohhhhhh,"so he found himself saying. "You're beautiful."

." she said.

did you ?" he spun around and glared at Oliver.

!" the three BlackWarGreymon growled in unison. The attack was obviously directed at the digivolved Jes, but it was also about to hit him, Oliver, and Angie, too.

" A thousand red papers flew out of his sleeve. Each one impacted into one of the projectiles from the BlackWarGreymon, and each one that did sapped his strength visibly, until he had fallen to his knees, baring his teeth and tightening every muscle in his body to keep from losing consciousness. He was losing.

"Lex!" she yelled. "Are you alright?" She looked down at him concernedly--for a few reasons. For one thing, she had never met anyone who could make her laugh like he did. She didn't want to lose him, especially not like this. "Lex...? Please answer me..."

" The name of the attack echoed, making Angie shiver. The things that he had traced in the air disappeared now, but reappeared next to one another on the torsos of the BlackWarGreymon. They couldn't move, she realized. They looked like they had just gained a few times their body weight, and were doing everything they could just to keep from falling out of the air.

" A large beam of pure blackness--roughly the same color that she saw when she looked into Lex's hood--flew out of the bade Jes was holding and slammed into the BlackWarGreymon, vaporizing all three of them instantaneously. Both her and Lex stood in amazement at what she had just done-both at the sheer destructive power she was wielding, and the fact that she was wielding it with what seemed like no hesitation at all. They were completely immobilized, they were basically defenseless there...how could someone do something like that? And Lex...what had he done?

you just took, Jes...I stopped them because I didn't want them to fight you, not so you could kill them..." Lex's voice trailed off guiltily. "What have I done?" he asked himself, in what was just above a whisper. Angie was pretty sure that hadn't been meant for her ears.

"Um...Lex?" she eventually whispered into where she guessed his ear was past his hood. "Are you done here? I don't think Oliver needs you right this minute anymore." she said, again, for more than one reason. For one thing, she wanted to get as far as she could away from Jes, and also because she wanted to get back to what she was doing before with Lex.

what this means to me," he said, dripping joy as he clung to her. She was pretty sure that she felt at least one tear of joy fall from his eyes onto her. Again, she giggled. The littlest things made him so happy...well, maybe not the littlest things. This was actually quite a big thing. It made her happy, too. But not in the same way it was making Lex happy. He kept doing that for a little while until he finally settled down and looked up at her from behind his hood. "...where were we?"

"LEX!" she cried out his name, reaching her own climax and closing her eyes tightly against the sensation. Shudder after shudder held her body hostage, until she finally settled down and curled her legs up a little, easing Lex out of her with a little gasp as he moved around inside of her.

"Now what it is?"

"I'm sure your tamer is waiting for you, Lex," she said.

"If you guys don't mind, guys...I'd like to get going from here as quickly as possible," Jamie said. He looked a little bit nervous. Lex didn't blame really blame him--after all, his Digimon had just killed three of the city's citizens.

WHAT?!" Jes growled. Lex sighed, turned around, and looked away from everybody.

That bothered him. He sniffled a little bit, holding back a few tears. He wished that he had a spell to changes his physical form, but that was one of the things that was beyond even his art. He wished that he could be more like Angie...where he could walk around and openly and be himself. Even though he had friends, a tamer, and someone to love...there was still someone who didn't like him. Oh, well...he was used to that. Actually...he wasn't. He was used to Digimon he didn't know giving him that as their default reaction to him. He wasn't used to getting it from people he knew. Even though Jes probably didn't know it ... she had hurt him deeper than she could know. Deeper than anything, really. When total strangers insulted or attacked him, he could chalk it up to ignorance on their part and tell himself that they didn't really know him, because if they did, they wouldn't have done it. But to have someone he did know say something like that...he sniffled again, trying his best to keep from crying.
