A Week Later
Another story, yay! Part 5 of the story so far, sorry if it sucks. Don't forget to rate, comment and other things. Also, tell me if I miss any tags.
So a week passes, and well, a lot of things happened. Just last week, Ray found out about me being gay. Good news, he hasn't told anyone yet. Bad news, he's blackmailing me. All throughout the week, he's been telling me to do stuff. Sometimes, he tells me to go to the boy's bathroom with him so we could talk about something. I already told him can just tell me directly. If he wants to grope me in the boy's bathroom, fine. He said that I liked it. I'm not gonna lie. I did like it. But deep down inside, I felt dirty. I felt like such a slut doing that with him. But, it's better than having the whole school knows. I just put up with it. Kyle is starting to get curious why I started hanging out with Ray. My only excuse: "We've become great friends." Sometimes I just want to tell him what's going on. Then again, what are the chances of him being homophobic? Other than that, dad hasn't come home yet. He said he would come home, but he hasn't. So I gave him a call.
"Hello?"
"Hello? Colin, is that you?" I hear dad's voice.
"Dad! Where are you? I thought you were gonna come home?"
"I know, but something happened while I was here."
"What do you mean?"
"Listen, I can't tell you that now."
I started to cry a little bit. "I miss you dad. Please come home!"
"I know, I miss you too."
I could hear him crying through the phone.
"Do you have anything else you want to talk about with me?"
"Well..."
I was thinking I should tell dad about what happened. Then again, if I tell him what happened, he might come home and stop whatever it is he's doing. But then, that something could be important, and I don't want him to stop just for me.
"Nothing, I just wanted to hear from you."
"Okay, bye."
"Good-bye, dad."
I hung up the phone. I looked at the clock, it was already getting late. Tomorrow is Friday. Maybe tomorrow will be a little better. I went to bed.
I woke up and looked at the clock. It was already past 9 am! Holy crap! I'm late! I rushed to get ready for school. I couldn't see Matt anywhere. Where did he go? I found a note on the fridge.
"Went to go out to go do errands. -Matt"
That figures. So I run out of the house, locked the door behind me and run to the school. On my way there, I saw Steve. Maybe he's late too.
"Oh hey Colin, where were you?" he asked.
"I woke up late awhile ago." I looked at my watch and realized it was almost 10 am. "Why aren't you at school?"
"Didn't you hear? I fire started at school awhile ago."
I was shocked. "A fire? Did anyone get hurt? How did it start?"
"Well, a bunch of pranksters were gonna do a prank for the principal. It got out of hand and well, the fire spread. Fortunately, no one got hurt. And school is closed for the rest of the day."
So I got out of bed for nothing?! Damnit!
"Well, it was great seeing you but I have to go home now."
I waved goodbye to Steve and he went home. I still went to school to see if he was telling the truth. And he was. There were fire trucks and firefighters all around the school. Students were cheering as they went home. There was a camera crew talking to the principal. It was total madness. But the real reason why I came here is to see if Kyle and/or Ray are okay.
I searched for them. I saw Kyle arguing with someone, but I couldn't see. Before I could take a better look, Ray gives me a surprise hug from behind.
"Hi Colin!"
I sighed, "Hi Ray."
It looked pretty awkward for him to hug me like that in the middle of all this. Thank God no one was looking.
"Where were you?" Ray asked.
"I was at home. I woke up late."
He laughed.
"Shut up, what do you want anyway?"
I felt his paw on my ass. "Well, with school closed I was wondering if you want to come over my house today."
If he thinks he can just tell me what to do, than he has another thing coming. "No thanks, I'm actually pretty busy." I lied.
"Okay then," he turned around and saw his friends waving at him. "I have to go anyway."
Whew! Thank goodness he left. So I went home, since there's nothing left I can do here.
So far today is boring. Just watching TV, Matt hasn't come home yet. I wonder where he's gone. Just then, I heard the phone ring.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hello, Colin? Are you busy?" I heard Kyle's voice. He was crying (?!).
"Kyle? Is that you? Why are you crying?"
"Colin, me and Alice, we..." He stopped. I could hear him crying.
"What? What happened?"
"Alice, she cheated on me."
Oh my God... "She dumped you?" I asked.
"Yeah..." I could still hear him sobbing. "Listen, if you're not busy, can you come over my house?"
I couldn't say no. He's feeling hurt because she broke his heart. "Sure, where do you live?"
I left the house, I can't wait for Matt. I locked the door and went to Kyle's house. I wonder what happened between them. They were doing fine a week ago.
I reached Kyle's house, I knocked on the door. Kyle opens the door.
"Hi..." he greeted. His eyes look a little watery. "Thanks for coming over."
"No problem, that's what friends are for."
I walked inside his house. "Where are your parents?"
"They're out of town for today. So I have the whole house to myself."
He led me to his living room. I sat on the couch with him. He still seemed a bit sad.
"What happened, Kyle? I thought you two were doing great together."
He sighed. "She cheated on me. I found out a yesterday and I confronted to her about it a while ago."
So he was talking with Alice. I see... "I'm sorry to hear that."
Before I could say another word, Kyle hugged me. "Thank you. Even though I just met you a week ago, you're a great friend."
A great friend? I really wish I could be more than that to him. Why can't I just tell him that I love him?
Before I could say anything, he stood up. He wiped off his tears. "So, have you ever tasted wine before?" He went to the kitchen.
"No, not really. Why do you ask?"
He came in the room with a bottle of wine and two glasses. "Usually, when I get sad, I drink wine. Do you want some too?"
I was surprised. "Um, aren't we a little too young to be drinking?"
"No, you're 15. I'm turning 16 next month." He put the two glasses on the coffee table and poured wine on both of them. He sat next to me and drank the glass.
"The other one's for you." He said.
I hesitated a bit. "Are you sure it's okay?"
"Yeah, it's okay. Don't be shy; we have a lot in the kitchen."
So I took a sip of wine. It tasted pretty good. "Okay, maybe just one glass."
Well, I drank one glass. And then, one glass became two. And then became 4, and then 8, I lost count at 14. Next thing I knew, we were drinking from bottles. After that, we started telling jokes and making each other laugh. I couldn't remember it all.
I looked at the watch; it was almost 8pm. "Wow, it's really late. I think I should get home soon." I walked to the door but I was stopped by Kyle. He hugged me from behind.
"Don't go! I'll be lonely without you!"
I can tell he's drunk. "I really need to go home now. My brother's probably worried about me." I was a little bit drunk too to be honest.
"Don't go, it's dangerous to go out at night when you're drunk. Why don't you stay for the night?" he offered.
He really is drunk. "Okay, let's go!" I couldn't remember why I agreed to do it. The next thing I knew he was carrying me upstairs.
"Boy, you're pretty light for a chubby little fox." He said.
I blushed. So maybe I am a little fat. But so is he!
He carried me to his room. After that it was all just a blur. I couldn't remember what happened after that.
