Chapter 2: Wedding Night

The rest of the day went by fairly quickly. The entire time, I was either listening to my iPod or reading one of the books that I had left in my pack. However one thing that kept cycling through my thoughts was the fact I was soon to be married, and to a dragoness of all creatures! I had always played with the concept as a human, but this was a fantasy come true. There was one thing however that got on my nerves (literally).

My muscles sometimes fluttered for jerked at random moments and places on my body. It must be side effects from the transformation. I thought.

The sun was about ready to set. It looked like a massive red orb, the clouds, like a miasma radiating from it. Something about it made me focus in. I got out of the bed and moved over to the window. When I got up, felt my wings unfold, and I noted the reflexive response.

Reaching the window, I felt the fading warmth on my arms. My scales reflected the light; glittering patters of colors seemed to become one with my body. It made me feel, alive somehow. A knock on the door sounded. The knob turned and Kayla entered.

"How are you doing, Arix?" She asked.

"My muscles were acting up awhile ago, twitches and a few shakes, but I haven't had a problem for nearly an hour...By the way, how are your preparations going?" I asked

"Nearly done, thanks for asking. It's good to hear that your body is nearly recovered. Are you able to move your wings or tail yet?"

"Not really. They stretched out when I got up, but nothing beyond that."

"I'm not surprised. The nerves and muscles are probably still connecting, I don't know how long it will take before you can control them." Kayla moved into the room, and walked up to me while she spoke. She looked like a draconic angel in the fading sunlight.

"This will take some getting used to. I'm still trying to convince myself that this is real and not some cruel dream." I admitted. She smiled and put a clawed hand on my shoulder.

"I can hardly blame you for thinking that way." She sounded as if she had known me for my entire life. This made me a bit curious and made me want to ask a question that I had not asked earlier.

"Forgive me for being blunt, but why did you save me?" I asked. That question had always been on my mind, but only now did I have the courage to ask it. Kayla looked a bit surprised, but quickly regained her composure.

"Because you deserved to be saved." She told me. I frowned, "I observed you for awhile, in your dreams, and used a psionic ability to watch you from here." She told me. I snapped my claws.

"So that's where I recognized you from. I had dreamed of you."

"That's true, but please, let me finish." Kayla said. "I saw your life at home and at school. You showed virtues that most people have forgotten." That caught me off guard. " I felt a bit proud, and bit embarrassed at the same time. I wasn't used to being complemented that often. She must have noticed it.

"Let's not talk anymore about why things have happened the way they have, at least not at the moment. The preparations for the ceremony are almost complete, all we need to do is get you and Viris prepared and wait for the other clan representatives to arrive." She told me. A sudden realization hit me.

"What exactly am I going to wear? No offense, but I doubt you have a tuxedo that would fit me." She laughed.

"We have some ceremonial robes that my mate has outgrown, in the meantime, your old clothes are nearly ready for you; I just have one or two minor alterations to make, I must say your style is a fascinating one."

"Thanks, I've always enjoyed the modern gothic styles."

"Well then this should be to your liking." She walked over to a nearby hidden closet and after searching for a moment, pulled out a hooded, grey robe. I slipped it on. The material felt like silk and easily covered me. There were even some slits in the back for my wings.

"Thanks, it feels great."

"I knew you'd like it. Now please follow me, I'll take you to a place where you can wash up, you're clothes will be finished by the time you are done." She led me out of the room.

I was amazed at the designs of her home. The walls were perfectly smooth, rising about 20 feet and curved into an arch. Some small windows were cut into the ceiling, small enough not to be noticed except by a very keen eye, yet large enough to let in plenty of light.

On the walls were torches that were unlit; I assumed that they only were used at night. Paintings of many different dragons and tapestries that appeared ancient or medieval adorned the walls as well. Each depicted a scene of prosperity and happiness, combat of human armies with dragons aiding them, or of draconic courtship.

"This hallway is dedicated to the history of our clan, and has the faces of our ancestors and of the deeds they have done. Our clan has been around for around three millennia, so there is much to tell, perhaps later when there is more time, I'll be able to tell you of our...I'm sorry, your history." Kayla said as we walked.

"That sounds good. I've always enjoyed history." Walking onward, we came into a large chamber. From what I could tell, this was a gathering or reception room of some sort. There was a huge opening in one of the sidewalls. It must be an aerial entrance, I realized.

Couches and chairs were laid out, and near the end of the room was a massive oak table. Plates made of pewter and goblets of crystal were set out along the table. Clearly this was what Kayla was working with. Then I caught the scent of roasting meat. From seemingly out of nowhere, a tray filled with chunks of juicy steak appeared on the table.

"Go ahead and try a sample." My stomach growled again. Kayla giggled a little, she pulled out one of the chairs and then bade me to sit down. I took one of the smaller samples of food and started to eat. Instantly a barrage of flavors hit my tongue. The texture was perfect, medium rare and moist, and the seasonings topped even those prepared by the famous chefs that served on lavish cruise ships.

"It's delicious." I said, taking another bite.

"I'm glad you like it, it's an old family recipe." Kayla told me. That sparked another thought.

"How many of your family live here?" I asked as I took another bite. If I was going to be inducted into a family of dragons, I should at least know the size of the family.

"My son, Dracoora and my mate, Arantharac live here as well. You'll be able to meet them before the rest of our clan arrives."

"How many are in your clan?"

"Aside from us, there are about 20 others, but only our immediate family, our clan senior, and representatives of other dragoons coming to the ceremony."

"Clan senior?" I knew I had heard that term before, but I just couldn't place it

"He's the oldest and wisest of any of our family." She explained, "He is responsible for the major actions of the clan as a whole. And he is also my Grandfather." That caught me by surprise. Then I remembered. I had read about the habits of various types of dragons from a number of books. I had always thought that they were all the created fantasies of people with too much time on their hands, but now I was seriously starting to reconsider that opinion.

"Don't worry, you'll like him." She said reassuringly. I would take her word for it, at least until I met him. I decided this was the time to see if what I had read was in any way true.

"These representatives you mentioned are other metallic dragons I'm assuming? A representative of the copper, bronze, brass and gold dragons?" I asked.

"Yes and some friends of ours that are of one or two the lesser species, how did you know this?" she asked, clearly taken by surprised. That confirmed it.

"I had read books that explain much about dragons, although I can only guess how much actually is fact." Kayla's face showed a mixture of surprise and intrigue. She moved close to me, and looked me in the eyes, her expression serious.

"Arix, I'd like to see what exactly you know. To do this I must enter into your memories."

"This won't hurt will it?" I asked a bit nervous. Viris had already entered my mind, but that was when I was asleep, and I hadn't felt a thing. This time, things could be different.

"No, there won't be any pain." She quickly said. Doing this would speed things up considerably, I thought. That and letting her read my thoughts would help show that I trust her. I nodded my head, and prepared.

"This won't take more than a minute, just relax" She said. Instantly I felt numbness in the back of my head. I tried to move but found that I could not. This brought back the unpleasant memories of right after the fight with Phil. After a minute the numbness subsided and I regained motion.

"Most interesting, almost all of this is actually true." Kayla said. I felt a small measure of pride hearing this. I had always thought that the books were true. For someone to have such detailed information about dragons, some, if not most of it must be true.

"We'll talk more on that later, for now lets get you cleaned up and into your clothes." I nodded and got swallowed the last piece of the steak.

Rising, I followed Kayla down another hallway. It appeared similar to the one I had come out of earlier; only I could swear I heard running water. Reaching the end of the hallway, Kayla opened the door. Inside was what appeared to be a large pool with a natural rock formation waterfall. The pool itself was at the very least the size of a small room. I had to wonder if this home would ever run out of surprises.

"There is a small hot spring at the top of the mountain, we tapped into the flow of water and use it as a bath. Go ahead and clean yourself up, Viris will bring your clothes to you." She said and moved to the door. "Everyone should be arriving soon, so don't be too long, Okay?"

"Sure, I won't take very long." Kayla left the room. I slipped off the robe and let it fall to the floor. Now with that out of the way, I made my way over to the steaming pool. As I slipped a foot in the water I was surprised that the water seemed to be the prefect temperature, hot but not to the point of burning.

Slowly, I immersed myself, letting myself be relaxed by the heat. The water came up about to my head and the very tips of my wings before my feet touched the floor. I swam out to the center of the pool and let myself float there, completely relaxed for a minute or two. I began to wonder how exactly this wedding would turn out to be like.

This was it; this was my chance to be joined with the creatures that occupied so many of my thoughts as a human. The thought intrigued me. I had already confirmed that dragons existed, and that most of what I had read was true as well. Now I would be able live out a fantasy that I had ever since I made my promise of abstinence, marriage. Then I remembered that I did not have much time left before the ceremony got underway.

Quickly, I found a bar of soap in a small hole in the side of the rock wall. I took it and swam over to the side of the pool. Hurriedly I scrubbed my scales, and then dropped below the water to wash off. Setting the soap back where I had found it, I got out and found a towel hanging off to the side. Reflexively, I felt my wings give a little shudder, causing any droplets of water to fall to the ground. It seemed that I was starting to gain at least reflexive use of my wings now. Hurrying, I dried myself. No sooner had I finished and had fastened the towel around my waist, there was a knock at the door.

"I have your clothes. Can I come in?" Viris asked.

"Sure, I'm decent." The door opened and she entered.

"I can hardly wait for the ceremony." Viris said and gave me a kiss on the cheek."

"Same here, but you know what they say, 'patience is a virtue'. She giggled and kissed me again.

"I must say you have a...unique style." She said as she handed me my clothes.

"Well, I was different than most humans." I replied as I put on my old Metallica shirt. I noticed that the modifications that Kayla and Viris had not ruined any of the design on the back. In fact, with my wings now sticking out, I thought it improved the design. Viris started to leave the room and leave me to finish.

"That's probably a good thing. Humans are too trendy." I laughed, recalling the memories of many people at my school trying to copy each other's style, and in the end looking like fools.

"I agree with you on that." I said as she closed the door. I dropped the towel and took notice of what exactly had become of my lower half. My hood and boys still hung like it did as while I was human, only now minescule scales covered them. Deciding to see if there were any other modifications to my equipment, I started lightly stroking myself, soon my dragonhood was fully erect, and with a quick glance, I knew that I had gotten bigger. It now was about a eight inches. Carefully, I pulled back on the foreskin. The head of my new draconic cock was still the same, fleshy; not a single scale to be seen.

Grinning with the knowledge that I would be breaking it in later that night, I slipped on a new pair boxers, and stepped into my Tripps. Zipping them up, I looked myself over in a mirror. I looked good from what I could tell. The shirt and pants fit perfectly on me. The tail and wing silts were not any bother to me at all, and I still had all the mobility that I had as a human. I also saw the new striking features on my face. Frills replaced my hair and ears, just as with Kayla and Viris. Then I also noticed another Frill on the end of my chin, it almost looked like a goatee.

Just then I heard a shout of greeting from outside. One of the guests must have just arrived. I threw the towel on a rack and headed out the door. Slowly, I walked down the hallway. Listening, I could tell that whoever had arrived obviously knew Kayla very well. I saw him standing there with both her and Viris, and then I noticed that he was not alone.

There were two new arrivals. Both looked to be male, one a bit taller that the other. They did not wear robes like Kayla and Viris, but wore what appeared to be cloaks. I made a mental note that this might determine gender. The taller one must have noticed me, he turned and smiled.

"Ah, so he has finally awoken." He said as he walked over to me, the other one followed. "It would've been odd, having everyone here and you still be out cold." I laughed at that. "My name is Arantharac, but please, call me Aran. This is my son Dracoora." He put a hand on the others shoulder. "You've met my wife and daughter by the looks of things." I nodded.

"My name is Arix." It seemed strange calling myself by my new name. "It is an honor to meet you." I said to both of them. "And yes, both Kayla and Viris have been very kind to me."

"That's good to hear. We wanted to set a good first impression." He shifted a bit, "I apologize that we were not able to be here when you awoke, something unexpected came up that demanded our attention."

"It's no problem. You're here now and that's what matters." I said. I knew how things could come up at the last moment and how annoying they were. Aran gave me an appreciative nod.

"Thanks for understanding. It is difficult to coordinate events like this." I knew what he meant. Often as a human I had tried to organize and coordinate get togethers with my friends. At that moment, Dracoora tilted his head towards the cliff entrance.

"The rest of the clan is approaching." He said in a quiet voice. Aran showed a look of surprise.

"I didn't think they would get here this soon." I raised an eyefrill, how could he know that?

"Dracoora has unusually strong psionic power." Aran explained. Dracoora flashed a toothy grin.

"I've trained myself to be able to feel when any one of us," he swept his arm around, "is near. They should be here any minute now."

All of us turned and peered out. As I looked out I noticed about five silhouettes in the distance. Slowly they approached. From what I could see, each looked like how a dragon appeared normally, four legged, long serpentine neck, and a massive set of wings. Slowly they approached the entrance of the cave, and as they touched down on the ground, their bodies changed form, going from their true form to their humanoid appearance.

All were male from the looks of it, four of them appeared to be about the same age of Kayla and Aran, but one towered above the others. He had to be at least six feet tall. His stance told me that he had seen much and just by looking at him, I felt a bit unnerved. He must be the clan senior, I realized.

"Ah, my granddaughter, it is so good to see you after so long." He said as he walked to her and gave her a hug.

"Thank you, it means so much that everyone could make it."

"Well, it's not everyday that we welcome a new member into the family." He paused.

"Speaking of which, where is he?" Still a bit nervous, I moved out of the shadows, the rattle of the chains on my pants made every head turn towards me.

Judging by the looks on their faces, I could guess that the new arrivals were more than a bit surprised at what they saw. It might be that they expected me to be more human that dragon; or it could be what I was wearing. I assumed it was the latter. Kayla's grandfather looked me strait in the eye. I could not help but feel small compared to him, but he also gave off a feeling of security.

"I've been looking forward to meeting you." He said, as I walked into the room. "I am Nymcarnoth. I am the eldest of my family and patron of this particular clan. What is your name?" He spoke with a calm but powerful voice. As I neared him, I could make out several scars running across his face. He must have been in many battles; I immediately felt respect for him.

"My name is Arixamirosila. It's an honor to meet you." His eyes locked onto mine. I held his gaze. We stayed like this for a few seconds, just staring at each other, until Nym finally broke the gaze, giving me a low nod.

"You show no fear." He stated, "This is good, because I need you to trust me for what I am about to ask." I raised an eyebrow. "I want your permission to read your memories." I frowned. This would be the second dragon that I would allow into my head, and even though I was grateful for everything that they had done, I did not want to start making my mind a public computer.

"Why?"

"I need to know as much as I can about you, so we can better understand your past. Memories tell one much more than words can. This will also save us much time, and we can avoid hours of questions." I also realized that this would show my trust to him and the others. And I needed to show as much as I could.

I nodded my head and closed my eyes. Nym placed his hand on my shoulder. Immediately, I felt did feel a numbness in the back of my head. Slowly, it began to move up my skull. Nym made a low hum every now and then; maybe he found some memory he found interesting. This went on for a minute or two, until he let out a great laugh and then the numbness dissolved.

"Ah, I should have seen this coming!" He said, "The wedding of my great granddaughter...to one who has indeed lived an honest life." I saw the other dragons nod in agreement. He must have sent my memories to the others in the clan.

"Now, let me introduce you to the rest of the family." Nym said. I looked at the other new arrivals. Two of them looked to be about the same age as Kayla and Aran, and the others looked to be older.

"This is my son, Malogradon." He said and gestured to one of the older dragons. Malogradon gave me a slight nod, and then cleared his throat. "Also, I am the father of Kaylasilriosa...so I guess this makes me one of your grandfathers." We all laughed at that. Nym continued.

"Jevanraq is my granddaughter's brother." He said pointing to one of the younger dragons. He flashed a quick grin.

"This is Toranth, Aran's brother." He continued, pointing at the other young dragon. That left only one. "And last, but not least is Laeosarian, Aran's father."

"It's an honor to meet you all." I said, inclining my head.

We all moved to a pair of couches and sat down, but as soon as we did, I felt something, it was subtle and almost undetectable, but I felt a nerve click in the back of my mind. Everyone else I could tell had also felt it.

"What just happened?" I asked.

"We were just signaled." Dracoora explained. "That was a psionic call. What it does is it searches for any source of sentient life and sends a signal back its' source."

"So it's like radar?"

"In a sense yes, but the technique can be used to target only certain things. Judging by that call, I'd say they're close." All of us peered out looking for them. Aran spotted them first.

"Ah, they are close now, and it looks like they are all here." He said. I tried to spot them. I had trouble spotting them at first, but eventually I made out several pairs of flapping wings. I could make out a set of copper, brass, and bronze wings in the far distance. Soon they were approaching the entrance. The copper dragon approached first, I was stunned by the sheer size of it, and it had to be at least fifteen feet tall, probably more! I noted that his wings were not just apart of his back, but connected all the way down to the very tip of his tail.

"It's good to see you again, Nym!" He said as he landed, quickly moving out of the way for the others. Nym rose and walked to him, "It's good to see you too Syndiol." Just then another dragon landed, this time the brass. His wing structure was the same as Syndiol's, but his face was different. His head sported a large skull plate that fanned upward, while Syndiol had a pair of flat horns arcing backwards. He moved out of the entranceway as well.

"Ah, it feels good to be back here."

"Good thing then that you were chosen to come here, Alvazar." Kayla said, going over to him. Looks like this is going to be a reunion as well as a ceremony. I thought as I watched the bronze come in for a landing.

The bronze was taller than the brass and copper, and had a different wing structure. Its' wings were similar to mine, I noticed. Its' face had many horns; I counted four on each side, with the topmost pair arcing back.

"Well it seems that I'm not yet late for the party." From the voice it was obvious that it was a female. She looked at Aran and gave a throaty hum. "How have you been since the turn of the century?" she asked.

"With the trouble in the east aside, it has been quite pleasant actually." He answered. I saw her start to sift as I saw Aran and Nym did. She body was around the same height as Nym, and she wore a maroon colored robe. Her new form also looked like the half dragon appearance. I now started to wonder if they had to use psionic power to actually shift into a human form. She had stopped and had begun to make her way over to us. Quickly she noticed me.

"Ah, so here is the guest of honor." She said, loud enough to stop the other conversations going on at the time. "I am Kaelestan, what is your name?"

"Arix," I said, going with the shorter version. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Arix...a good name." Kael said. "I must say, I didn't know what to expect when we were told of you."

"I had no idea of what to expect when I was told that all of you were coming, to be perfectly honest."

"Well then I guess that we're on equal ground." The other new arrivals decided that this was their time to start asking questions. Syndiol and Alvazar came up close, and tilted their heads, studying me.

"Hmm, very interesting choice of style." Alvazar commented.

"It's what I wore as a human." I said

"Really? I've rarely seen a human wear anything like that." Syndiol piped.

"I had different tastes as a human."

"How so?" Alvazar asked.

"Well, you could say that I focus more on things that most humans aren't interested in." I started. "Most people have an interest in sports, while I have an interest in the martial arts and in collecting swords and blades." I could tell that I had captured their attention.

"I read more than anything, but not what most people like" I shook my head. "Most don't understand the beauty behind most of today's modern gothic sci-fi."

"And what exactly would that be?" Kael asked.

"Have any of you ever heard of Warhammer 40k?"All of them shook their heads. "It is a series that tells the tales of many men in the far future. Each book focuses on the survival of humanity, fighting off scores of aliens, traitors and even demons."

"Fascinating." Syndiol murmured, truly impressed. The looks of Aran and Kayla also showed surprise and intrigue.

"Yes it is, but the books are not what one would recommend for someone who can't handle reading something very graphic."

"Why do you read these books?" Kael asked me. That actually made me wonder. Why did I read them?

"I...suppose I like the way humanity, in the face of overwhelming odds, can still be victorious."

"It sounds like there's more to it than just that." Kael said.

"I guess that I also like reading about the seemingly endless battle. The battles and tactics that are used reflect the battles fought in World War 1. In others, tactics of today are used in combination with weapons of the far future."

"This explains much." Aran said. The others nodded. Then I felt another psionic call; only this one was stronger, much stronger. Everyone else felt it as well.

"I was wondering when he would arrive." Nym said. I wondered about whom he was talking about, and then it hit me. The copper, brass, bronze, and obviously silver dragons were here; the only one missing was the gold's representative. Based on the strength of his call, he was powerful indeed. Aran seemed a bit uneasy.

"You did not tell us that his Resplendence was coming." He said. Nym turned to him.

"I thought that would be obvious." He said. I had heard that term before. It meant that he was the elected ruler of all gold dragons across the globe.

"Are you serious? His Resplendence is actually coming here?" I quickly asked.

"Yes, so it would be very wise to be on your best behavior." Of course I would be; there was no way I was going to foul up on this kind of opportunity. Within a minute I made out a gleam on the horizon.

The massive gold dragons' body looked like a ball of fire in the fading sunlight. Steadily, he approached the cave. The first thing that I noticed was his size. He was huge, easily 25 feet tall! It was also impossible to not notice his thick 'beard' of tendrils that dangled from his face. They made him appear old and wise. His wings were akin to those of Syndiol and Alvazar when they were in their true dragon form. As he landed, everyone lowered his or her head acknowledging his superiority. I did so as well.

"Greetings your Resplendence, it is an honor to have you here." Nym greeted. The gold nodded, and everyone raised their heads.

"Thank you Nymcarnoth. Now where is the young one?" Syndiol had been in front of me, so he must not have seen me. Slowly, I came around the copper and stood in front of the gold.

"Greetings your Resplendence, it is an honor and a privilege to meet you." I said, trying to be as formal and polite as possible. He lowered his head down to my eye level, his gaze locked with mine. He was intimidating, his mere presence emanating an aura of authority. But I held my ground, keeping his gaze with mine. My actions did not betray the fact that I was nervous, very nervous. He then spoke.

"Well met little one. I am Tos'un, King of Justice. What is your name?" His voice was a kind one.

"Arixamirosila, Arix for short, your Resplendence."

"You surprise me Arix, and in more ways than one." I had hoped to impress him, but I guess surprise was also good. "You show no fear, even though it is in you. That is good, most would cower." I allowed myself to smile.

"I sense that you are much more complex and layered than you appear to be." This took me by complete surprise. He talked as if he had known me all of my life, and understood my exact way of thinking.

"I felt the dormant power within you when I looked into your eyes." So that's why everyone here's been doing that. I realized. "It runs deep, even by our standards, with training and time; I can see you becoming a formidable Psion." I was stunned; even in my wildest dreams; I had never thought that I could possibly aspire to anything on a draconic level.

"Thank you, your Resplendence." I managed to stammer. Tos'un gave a little nod and then lifted his head back, letting out a rumbling laugh. "Ah, I knew there would be more to this gathering! A wedding!" The faces of the other clan reperesntatives showed pure surprise. Tos'un turned head turned to face Nym.

"You have deemed him acceptable?" He asked. The elder silver nodded.

"He has passed my daughter's test, and our own examinations." He smiled. "He's all that we could ask for." The gold nodded.

"When shall it begin?" He asked?

"As soon as Arix and Viris are ready." Kayla answered.

"I'm ready whenever you are, Arix." Viris said. From the sound of her voice, she was nervous as well, maybe even more than I was.

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be." I added. Aran nodded.

"Alright then Arix, come with me." He said and started for the hallway. I passed through the crowd of murmuring dragons and kept in step with my soon to be father in law. We walked back to the room I had been staying in.

"Arix, I know that you know just how important this is." He said in all seriousness. I nodded. "I have seen your past and your actions show loyalty that we respect. But know that once you accept her as a mate, you two will be together until the day you die."

"I know." I replied. "She is the only one that I have ever felt true feelings over, and I swear to you upon my very soul that I shall honor her." Both of us said nothing for a moment, until Aran broke the silence. "That is exactly what she told me earlier." And with that, the silver went over to the same closet Kayla had used earlier, and pulled out the grandest outfit I had ever seen.

The robe itself was pure black, a color I knew that always went very well with silver. Intricately woven patterns of gold wove throughout the entire robe, and blood red gemstones lined the sleeves. Needless to say it was perfect for the occasion. Silently, Aran helped me into it. Surprisingly, it weighed very little.

"You look great...son." Aran said. It felt strange to be called that, but not in a negative way.

"Thank you...father." Aran grinned, and extended his hand, inside of it was a golden ring. All of these items would cost a fortune. I thought, and they give them to me freely. I thought I took it and stuck it in a pocket. I'll have to repay them for this some way. A glimmer of light caught my eye; the sun had finally begun to set behind the craggy peaks of the mountains.

"Well, we should probably get going." I said, confidently.

"Yes, we should, follow me." He said and headed out. Together, we walked back to the main gathering chamber, but to my surprise, the room had been redone.

A raised dais was at the mouth of the entrance to the lair. The many couches had been arranged into rows, the metallic dragons had all taken seats in them. However I noticed that Tos'un was standing on the end of the dais. He had taken the assumed form of a gold half dragon. In his hands, I saw some sort of book. I realized that he must be the pastor.

Together, Aran and I walked down the center aisle, until I stood at the foot of the dais. Aran patted me on the shoulder, and took his seat with the rest of his clan. Suddenly, music from an unknown source began to play. It was akin to the organ music that was typically played during a human wedding. Despite myself, I let out a chuckle. Who knew draconic weddings were so akin to those of my former self?

Finally, I saw Viris and Kayla enter from the opposite end. Viris was dressed in a snow white dress, with a veil covering her face. In the fading light, I could only describe her as I had done with Kayla no more than an hour earlier; a draconic angel.Slowly she walked down the aisle, with Kayla right by her side. As they reached the foot of the dais, Kayla let go of Viris's arm and moved back to Aran and the rest of her clan.

Viris and I looked at each other for a moment before taking each other by the hand and walking up, towards Tos'un. When we were about five or so paces from the gold, the music cut out. We stopped.

"Fellow dragons, we are gathered here to bear witness to the bonding of these two." His tone was regal, and loud. "If there is anyone here who has a good reason why these two should not be wed, speak now or forever hold your peace." Not a single sound was uttered except for the whistle of the wind.

"It was God who first invented marriage." Tos'un continued, "First to bind Adam and Eve together as husband and wife. This is the most sacred vow anyone, human or dragon can take." There was a brief pause, to let the implications sink in.

"Do you, Arixamirosila, take Viris to be you wedded wife? To love her, comfort her, honor and keep her in sickness and in health? And forsaking all others until death do you part."

"I do."

"And do you Viris, take Arixamirosila, to be your wedded husband? To love him, comfort him, honor and keep him in sickness and in health? And forsaking all others until death do you part?"

"I do." She answered, and pulled out a golden ring. I pulled mine out as well.

"Repeat after me, Arix." Tos'un said. "With this ring I do thee wed."

"With this ring I do thee wed." I repeated, slipping it onto Viris's finger.

"With this ring I do thee wed." Repeated Viris, slipping hers onto mine. Tos'un smiled.

"I now proclaim you Husband and Wife. You may kiss the bride." With that, I lifted the veil, and gave Viris the most passionate kiss I had ever given. We separated and turned to the assembly of dragons before us. Viris's entire clan had shed tears of joy.

"Now, let us feast and celebrate as good dragons should!" Nym proclaimed. A collective cheer sounded at this.

"And let's put formalities aside for the time being." Tos'un added. Thank God. I had never liked being formal.

"Dinner has been prepared." Kayla called out. We all moved over to the table, and at this time. I took my seat beside Viris, at the center of the table. Kayla, Aran, and Nym sat nearby. Soon our thoughts focused on the food.

Trays of succulent meats, pots with steaming vegetables and a few casks filled with a rich cider were served. All of us loaded our plates and started to enjoy. Steak was the main item, and it was exactly the same as earlier. Before long I had finished my first helping.

"This is by far the best steak I have ever tasted." I told Kayla.

"Thank you." She replied. Syndiol had just finished, when he snapped his clawed hands and gave a low chuckle.

"I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner. A celebration can never be fully enjoyed without some music." True, I thought. The copper dragon closed his eyes and in a few seconds, music from some unknown source began to play. It sounded like a festive medieval tune. I laughed, and Syndiol cocked an eyebrow.

"Oh? Not what you expected?"

"Not exactly." I said. "Don't get me wrong, I like it, it's just not what I regularly listen to." He paused, and then a sly grin spread across his face.

"Hmm, it's been a while since I've heard any new human music." He said, "Why don't you let us hear what you listen to." A few murmured in agreement. I was a bit apprehensive.

"Are you sure? Most humans never liked anything I listened to."

"That was then, besides we, or at least I'd like to hear something a bit out of the ordinary for a change."

"Alright, just let me grab it." I rose and hurriedly went to find it. I went back through the long art filled hallway, back to my unofficial room. Rummaging through my things, I found my iPod. Switching it on, I tried to think of a song on here that would not seem too hard-core, unfortunately, hardcore metal and all things related took up almost all of my data.

Gazing through the playlists, I found some old Tristania. They may have been Doom Goth, but their female vocalist was phenominal. Going through the songs I saw the one that I had loved the most, Aphelion. I headed back to them, keeping it paused at the beginning. When I got back, the medieval music still played from an unseen source.

"So this is what you use for music...interesting." He shut his eyes again and the otherworldly music stopped. I walked to him and hit the play button. Through the headphones, the music started. Syndiol once more closed his eyes and the music ceased to play through the headphones but now from another, unseen source. The song played through the opening guitar and solos. By the time the deep vocals kicked in, I could tell that everyone had stopped to listen. The song began to pick up; it's rhythm increasing and vocals now coming out in full force. Syndiol, along with everyone else was clearly enjoying this. Looking at Viris, I saw she was mesmerized by the sheer power of the music. It seemed that I had picked the right song. We listened on, letting the song play itself out. Syndiol then gave a great laugh.

"Ah, a fine song."

"Thank you. That song actually helped me get through some tough times as a human." Tos'un tilted his head.

"Really?" he asked inquisitively. "How so?"

"Well, I was constantly facing some sort of trouble." I started, "School, punks, troubles at home, and many, many more." I involuntarily clenched a fist, recalling the memories. "Music was always a source of relief from it. "And it was always a good thing to listen to while training."

Tos'un raised an eyefrill. "Oh? What sort of training."

"Mostly Martial arts training. Tae Kwon Do to be specific.

"Perhaps you would be interested in training with Dracoora sometime. He's become skilled in melee combat." Nym offered. I eagerly nodded my head. I had always wondered how a dragon fought up close and personal, at least in an assumed form.

"I'll show you our armory tomorrow." Dracoora said.

"I'd love to see what all you have." That sparked a thought, "Do you fight with swords and guns as well?" He shook his head.

"We don't use guns like humans do. It is dishonorable to kill from a distance unless absolutely necessary." He had a good point.

"I agree, but it's undeniable that guns are clearly a necessity these days." Dracoora shook his head.

"That may be true for humans, but not for us."

"How so?" I asked.

"Why use a gun when your breath can do just as good?" I had forgotten about having a breath weapon. "That reminds me, have you tried to use yours yet?"

"No. To be honest, I completely forgot that I even had one."

"Hmm, you should be able to use it by now." Aran said, "Let's find out." He made his way over to the table and took one of the small casks of cider that we hadn't drained yet.

"It's gotten warm; let's see if you can cool it down." He said. Everybody formed a small circle around the cask and me. I did what I thought would be natural; taking in a deep breath, I blew out. I saw the air in front of me slowly turn in frost, and by the time the cask had a layer of ice and snow sticking to its' sides.

Aran clapped me on the back.

"Good, it seems that you got the hang of it." He said.

"It seems so easy."

"It comes naturally to us, and apparently to you as well."

The celebrating lasted for many more hours. During that time we joked, danced to more of Syndiol's music, and shared stories. However soon It became clear we were close to pulling an all nighter.

"Looks like we carried on longer than expected." Tos'un chuckled.

"I should probably get back to my clan." Kael said.

"Likewise." Syndiol and Alvazar added in unison.

"And I need to report back to the council to deliver my report." Tos'un finished. All of the representatives walked over to me one more time.

"Goodbye Arixamirosila, know that you have shown yourself to be an ally to all dragons as well as a good conversation partner." Kael said as she shook my hand.

"Thank you." I said as she reverted back to her original dragon form and took flight.

"You have the heart of a dragon inside of you now. Use it to accomplish great things." Alvazar told me. I gave him a solemn nod and clasped his hand. He too went to the cave entrance and once he was in his true form took flight.

"You're must have been an interesting human, because I've honestly never met someone, human or dragon quite like yourself." Syndiol told me as I shook his hand. Like Kael and Alvazar, he transformed and flew out into the night sky. That only left Tos'un.

The gold dragon moved to the entrance of the cave and then reformed himself. His aura of authority reasserted itself, and I could tell that he wanted to be as formal as possible.

"Arixamirosila, you have been inducted into this family by the good graces of Kaylasilriosa and Arantharac. You have shown yourself to be a kind hearted person, as well as a warrior. For this, I formally recognize you as a silver dragon. Take care of yourself, and train hard." He lifted his leg and extended out towards me. I took one of his massive claws and shook it like I would a handshake.

"Farewell, and may God bless you!" he called as he took to the sky. That left Kayla, Aran, Nym and the rest of the family.

"We should probably get some sleep now." Kayla said. Viris and I both looked at each other now, knowing what both of us wanted.

"Yeah, I think that's a good Idea." I replied and walked to Viris, kissing her on the cheek.

"Let's go." She whispered into my ear.

"Alright." I said playfully and swept her off her feet, and into my arms. She yelped in surprise, but gave out a great laugh, a laugh that all of us shared as I walked back to the bedroom.

"You planned that, didn't you?" She asked, lust back in her voice.

"Nope, that was random." I said, kissing her as I used my tail to shut the door behind us. Letting her down, she reached and placed her hand on my crotch. I thrummed with pleasure as she rubbed, and started to undo the robe as well. At the same time I reached behind her and started to undo the dress she had on.It took only a minute until only our underwear was still on us. I took off her bra, and began kissing my new wife with new vigor, both of us collapsed on the bed.

"I now offer you my greatest gift, one I've kept for over nineteen years, my virginity." I said. She chuckled as her hands grasped the boxers and pulled them off me slowly, my cock now jumped up, standing like a proud solider.Viris took a good look at my newly released equipment and brought her face in close.

"And, I lovingly accept." She said and moved her muzzle over my cock. Her tongue began to play the head, and she let is snake down the shaft. I gasped with the sudden pleasure. In all of my years of life, I had always wondered what this would be like. I let her play around, letting her suck on me.

After a few minutes, I began to feel an orgasm building up. Moaning in pleasure, I put my hands to the side of her head, and began to lightly thrust into her mouth. She took in almost all of my dragonhood, and soon I could feel pressure building.

"I'm almost there....Oh..my..AHH!" I yelled as I shot a load of seed into her muzzle. Her cheeks expanded as she took it in, but couldn't hold it all. Swallowing, she removed her head, and pulled me up into a sitting position.

"You thirsty from all of that?" She asked. I nodded, and she brought her breast to my muzzle. I began to suck her tit like a young hatchling. Her milk was warm, and tasted great. She made somthing of a laughing moan as I sucked away on her. Eventually, I reached my fill and pulled away. She peered into my eyes, begging me to take her. To make her mine.

"And now, my mate, I give to you, my virginity." With that, I took ahold of her panties and pulled them down. Her slit was already moist, and I knew what she craved. Pulling her onto the bed, I got her on her back positioned myself on top.

"And now I gladly accept." I whispered into her ear, and entered into her depths. She gasped in a mixture of quick pain and then of great pleasure. My cock was halfway in, pushing farther into her, made us both thrum in utter bliss. Slowly I retracted, only to shove me cock right back into her, each time going just a bit farther into her 'not so virgin anymore' pussy.

"Oh yes!" She cried out. "Ohhh....Don't stop!"

Time seemed to be at a standstill as we continued to consummate our love and marriage. I humped her fast, burying my cock into her, until my balls pressed against her entrance. Viris was gasping in pleasure, pinching her tits as I continued humping. After awhile, I could feel a second orgasm building on me. Looking at Viris, I could see that hers was as well.

"Wanna......go.....all......out?" I asked. She gasped between each thrust and nodded.

Grinning, I kicked it up as far as I could, humping her as fast as I possibly could. Viris screamed in pleasure, as I drilled into her hard. This went on for awhile, and I could hear that she was almost at her climax.

"Ohhh....MY...OHHH........OHHHHH!" She screamed as she orgasmed exactly as I did. Our juices blasting and mixing together inside of her pussy. I stopped, both of us panting heavily, and utterly spent. Slowly, I pulled out of her, a small ammount of juices splashed out onto the bed, but it escaped our notice.

"I love you." She whispered.

"And I love you." I whispered back. With that both of us fell into the realm of dreams.
