Dear Clip, Chapter 1
#1 of Dear Clip,
This is a preview of a possible series that I plan to write to increase my literary skills and better myself as a writer. It's set in a post-apocalyptic world where America has been dissolved into disputed boundaries and is only held together by violence (oddly enough) and large walled compounds that house many of the countries remaining citizens. I hope the idea is good enough to attract some attention and I hope to have another chapter of this series up in a few days. Any feedback is welcome, please leave any thoughts or suggestions as comments. It helps tremendously.

Dear Clip,
Tonight I plan to leave, not forever, but long enough to get out of the stranglehold of oppression that infects us all. You're reading this because I've left it for you and only you. It is your choice to either destroy this note or to keep it and wait patiently. Under no circumstances do I want you to try and find me. I move quickly and I will not make a permanent residence in any area outside of The Compound. You will have to trust me that I will come back and see you. If you ever doubt my return, my fate, or my sanity simply remember how I would climb to your window sill and leave your favorite white roses. I will take my seeds and plant my trademark on where I leave an impression. Hopefully our memories will never fade. This is my first note.
Signed,
Oil
