#2 of Rygle and Clarisse

Rygle's meeting with an old mate reminds him why he dumped her in the first place.

Rygle woke with a loud snort as a branch cracked overhead. His golden eyes snapped open blearily, getting into a half crouch as his muscles tensed. His acute sight scanned the trees he was lying under, looking for the source of the sound as he squinted his eyes against the afternoon light shining through the branches. Besides the rustling leaves from the light breeze, he couldn't see much. After a few moments of not seeing anything the gryphon slumped back down onto the forest floor with a sigh.

He had been waiting for his human girlfriend, Clarisse, to meet up with him under these trees, which was just outside the outskirts of her settlement. She was over an hour late, judging by the sun. It was obvious that she had hit some kind of snag whether it was getting in trouble with her parents, or having to do chores. Judging by how late it was she might not show up at all.

The young gryphon tried to swallow his disappointment as he rested his head on his paws. They only had a couple days a week to do. He'd really been pent up the last few days and had been looking forward to releasing it. Not only that, but he really wanted to see Clarisse herself. It had been over seven months since they had first met at The Field; an interspecies festival where all the sentient creatures came together to play sport and socialize, an acknowledgement of the decades long peace between the different species...and an excuse to get drunk. That was where Rygle had first seen the human girl. She was standing apart from the other young humans, next to the buffet, having a drink. Getting a drink himself (an awkward ordeal, considering gryphons don't use cups) he felt he should contribute to the forced interspecies camaraderie permeating the air. He sidled up next to her on his haunches, holding the cup awkwardly in his huge paws. They exchanged greetings and, surprisingly, small talk turned into an actual conversation with Rygle telling the girl about what it was like to fly, to see the desert and mountains.

"Mountains?" She had asked, "I've never seen the mountains...what do they look like?"

Because of where the settlement was situated many of the humans had never seen the surrounding terrain due to all the trees blocking the view. Feeling a strange urge to please the girl, he offered to show her. She had accepted and before he knew it they were sneaking into the forest. It was then that he realized he had never carried anyone while flying. Looking back, he realized how stupid he was letting her clutch into his feathers without anything holding her on. They managed it, though, and she had experienced something few humans ever would.

Rygle sighed again, turning over onto his back, his four limbs sticking into the air. It had been complicated the last few months. Interspecies relationships were definitely frowned upon; more so by gryphons than humans, but the humans definitely didn't like it either. They had come up with different plans, mostly ones that involved running away, but as of now, they had to lay low.

Another crack. Rygle's eyes immediately flicked to the location of the sound, spotting a figure crouching in the branches. Immediately, he got to his feet, letting out a hiss as his feathers ruffled up. The figure in the trees shifted, knowing it had been caught. Then, after a pause, it dropped down through the branches, landing gracefully on its paws like a cat.

Rygle's eyes widened slightly as he came face to face with another gryphon, a female he recognized.

"O-oh! Sari. What are you doing here?" His look of surprise quickly turned to one of suspicion. "And why were you spying on me?" He hadn't seen her for over a year. She had been his last mate, before Clarisse.

Sari stretched, arching her back and pushing her paws out as she gave him a smile.

"Hey Rygle, it's been a long time, eh? I was just passing by when I caught your scent. I wasn't sure if it was you so I was just trying to get close enough to see."

Rygle continued to watch the russet colored gryphon, sitting on his haunches. There was a reason they'd broken up. She was never the nicest of gryphons. She had all the fiery ambition and personality that Clarisse did, except without the kindness and sympathy. Shit! That reminded him; if Sari saw him with that human girl....

Rygle got to his feet abruptly, "Was just hunting and got tired, figured I'd take a nap. Kinda thirsty now, though. Wanna get a drink with me?" He began a brisk walk towards the river, opposite the settlement.

Sari raised her brows at him as he passed, "Hunting, here? You know that human settlement is just yards away, there're no animals here." She got up slowly and followed him.

Rygle continued walking, cocking his ears back to the other gryphon. "Oh? Must've gotten lost..."

"Actually, Rygle, I wanted to talk to you about something."

"Hmm?" He wasn't going to feel comfortable until they were out of sight of that clearing.

"It's about last year...would you stop?"

Rygle continued walking until the female reached out and grabbed his tail gently. He looked back and, seeing that they were at least out of sight of the clearing, he turned to face her, trying to keep a straight face.

Sari looked back at him, her icy blue eyes boring into his with an intensity that he had forgotten.

"I-uh...I was just remembering lately how I had treated you while we were together. You were my first, Rygle, and after being with a few more gryphons, I realized how good I had it with you, and I'm not just talking about your body, Rygle, even though you're the biggest and strongest in our age group."

She gave him a smile. Was that supposed to flatter him? All the memories of why he had left her were coming back to him in a rush. Rygle clamped his beak tightly, trying to keep his face pleasant. "You wanna talk about this at the river?" He asked abruptly, his eyes looking over her shoulder again.

Sari's looked at him strangely, then over her own shoulder, then back at him. "Is something follow you? You're acting strange."

"No! I'm just super thirsty."

"Well hold on a minute," She suddenly walked toward him, getting uncomfortably close.

Rygle resisted the urge to pull away from her, trying to keep his feathers smoothed down. Her neck pressed against his as she elegantly rubbed the side of her face against his cheek. He was just about to tell her to back off when...

"Rygle!?"

He froze, his muscles standing out through his fur as he heard Clarisse's voice. Sari pulled back immediately, looking back the way they had come.

"What was that?"

Rygle immediately started toward the river again, "Not sure, sounded like a human, though. Come one, let's go before it sees us."

"I thought it said your name..."

"No, I don't think so." Shut up, Clarisse, shut up!

"Ryyyyyyy-gle!"

Fuck

Sari gasped, then immediately dashed in the direction of the clearing.

"Wait!" Rygle yelled before immediately charging after her. His heart pounded. Of all the gryphons in the world, he was most frightened of Sari finding out. He heard Clarisse let out an exclamation of surprise and redoubled his speed before he broke through into the clearing, almost smashing straight into a frozen Sari as he did. He dodged around her, getting himself between her and Clarisse.

Clarisse was standing very still herself, her eyes wide before she turned to Rygle. "Rygle, what...who?" Then her face darkened, "Who the fuck is this!?" She glared at the other female, folding her arms as she did.

"Clarisse, It's not what it looks like!"

At that Sari immediately fluffed her feathers up, "Looks like what? Rygle, you're talking to her as if..." Her eyes widened.

Clarisse grinned at the female. Although Rygle was the only gryphon Clarisse had associated with, she had been with him long enough to recognize gryphon facial expressions. "That's right, he's my BOYFRIEND." The girl strode straight up to Rygle's side, resting a hand on his back.

Sari hissed quietly as she took this in.

Rygle closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. Damn it, Clarisse, why did you have to do that? The human had barely just met this gryphon and was practically challenging her to a fight.

"Rygle, what is she talking about?"

The male opened his eyes to see Sari a few feet closer. Although a gryphon on human attack hadn't happened in years, the idea that Sari was capable wasn't farfetched, even if peace between two species depended on it.

"Uhhh..." Rygle had no idea what to say. Clarisse glared at him, Sari followed suit. He felt like he was standing between a hurricane and tornado. Finally, he decided to take on a voice of wisdom.

"This isn't worth it, guys, let's calm down. We don't want to start a war or anything."

"What were you guys doing in there?" Clarisse gestured to the forest as she continued glaring.

Before Rygle could answer, Sari stood a bit straighter. "Oh, you know...fucking."

"Sari!" Rygle choked out in surprise as Clarisse gasped.

"Oh really?" Clarisse said, her eyes flashing. Rygle could tell that she was trying to come up with a comeback, but she seemed too taken aback.

Knowing that she had struck a nerve, Sari continued, "Yeah, me and him go back a long way, I can remember-"

Her voice cut off as the human stepped nimbly around and planted a solid punch in her eye.

Interestingly, the first thing Rygle thought wasn't about the implications of the punch, but instead of how very Clarisse it was that she had thrown a punch instead of a slap. But he was there immediately, grabbing Clarisse roughly by the back of her dress and yanking her back quickly, sending her to the ground. This didn't seem necessary though, seeing as how Sari was frozen, looking in the direction that the slap had forced her head in.

Rygle turned to Clarisse, who was picking herself up off the ground. "Clarisse, please go home."

Clarisse looked up at him as she dusted herself off. "The bitch started it, what else was I suppo-"

"HOW DARE YOU!"

Apparently Sari had recovered.

Hearing thundering steps behind him Rygle turned quickly, meeting the angry gryphon head on by grabbing her forearms with his strong paws and grappling her to the ground onto her back. Sari's eyes widened as she saw what Rygle was doing, then began to struggle furiously.

"Rygle, you traitor! I knew I couldn't trust you!"

Too busy to figure out what Sari meant by that, Rygle continued to hold her down, his biceps bulging with the effort. Sari hissed and squirmed, kicking up at his chest and belly, making him grunt. Of course, it was at that time that Clarisse decided to get in on the action. Rygle saw a flash out of the corner of his eye, then a human foot hit Sari solidly in the beak. Another one followed, then another.

Rygle reached out a paw, angrily pushing Clarisse away. At this moment, a well aimed kick from Sari swiped him across the balls, jostling them harshly. Rygle gasped and tensed, his paw still outstretched toward Clarisse as he sagged slightly. As pain spread through his abdomen, he felt the female pause under him. His eyes half shut from grimacing, Rygle looked down at Sari. Her face was twisted into an ugly smirk. Before Rygle could say anything, his world exploded as her foot shot up once again, this time aimed directly at his balls. The pad of her foot smacked into his nuts with surprising precision, flattening them up against his pelvis. The kick wasn't too powerful, but that didn't matter much to Rygle as he let out a choked moan his legs giving out, slumping down towards the female. The leg kept him up, though, his sack bulging out towards the sides of her foot as his rear stuck up in the air, his beak buried into her chest.

"Leave him alone!" Rygle heard faintly as he tried to grab his crotch. Sari let him fall to her side with a thump where he immediately curled up into a ball, holding himself. Sari got up beside him and moved away, presumably towards Clarisse. He had to do something if he didn't want his girlfriend to be turned into shredded fleshy ribbons.

Raising his head shakily from the leafy ground, he forced his watering eyes open. Sari was standing menacingly over the human, who was holding a large rock in one hand.

"Sari!" He yelled voice strained and hoarse. The gryphon twitched an ear, but continued towards Clarisse. "Get away from my girlfriend!"

That stopped her. Sari hissed softly, but didn't look back at him, continuing to eye the rock in the human's hand.

"This is why I dumped you. You could never control your temper, you were way too jealous, and, overall, you were just a fucking bitch." Rygle was on his feet at this point, clutching his sack with one paw, balancing on the other three.

Sari finally did look back at him, after moving away from the rock-wielding human. "Excuse me?" she asked, her feathers fully ruffled up at this point.

"You're mean and ugly, inside and out. Why would I have ever wanted to make a nest with you?" His usual arrogance was returning as he ruffled up his own feathers, managing to take his paw from his groin. He was a good foot taller than her, enabling him to smirk down at her.

Sari was moving towards him now, fire in her eyes, completely forgetting the human.

Rygle gave Clarisse a meaningful look as he backed away, trying to tell her to go home. Seeing that Sari was set on him now, he spat at her. "Me being with a human should tell you a lot about yourself, the fact that I'd choose her over you!"

That did it. In a flash the female was after him and Rygle turned tail and ran, crashing through the trees back into the forest. He had to get as far as possible from Clarisse as he could, he was sure she would try to follow. Seeing a small clearing ahead, he increased his speed and leapt upwards, spreading his wings and flapping hard. The clearing was just large enough as the tips of his wings brushed the branches on either side. He managed to clear the treetops and began to soar. He was sure Sari would have no problem doing what he just did, considering how small she was, definitely faster too.

A heavy weight landed on his back as he was dive-bombed from behind. Damn, she was fast, he squawked loudly as he heard a maniacal laugh in his ears. They plunged down into the trees, the branches whipping their bodies as they smashed through them.

Their fall came to a halt, but not on the ground. Of course, as Rygle's luck usually played out, their fall had been stopped by a branch...and the male gryphon's crotch. Rygle didn't process it at first, his vision jolted and he saw stars, the breath getting knocked out of him with the force. Then what felt like a miniature bomb went off in his lower abdomen. A moaning gag was forced out of him as both his own weight and Sari's pressed him into the wood. The branch was thin enough that both his eggs just barely poked out on either side, but not thin enough that they could escape. Rygle's eye twitched occasionally as he clutched onto the branch, the pain spreading up towards his chest, making him let out another raspy moan. His hind legs struggled to gain some purchase on the branch, but the combined weight of two gryphons wouldn't allow it.

"Oh wow," He heard Sari say above him once she realized what had happened. He could hear a smile in her voice. "That's some serious bad luck, Rygle, let's see if I can get us down."

Rygle didn't want to know what she was planning, but he soon found out as she stood up on his back and began bouncing.

"Ah! Ah! Augh!" He screeched with each bounce, his tongue lolling out past his beak as his eyes crossed. His legs slid off the branch, along with his paws as his body seemed to shut down. Now there was nothing to ease the pressure on his bulging ballsack, each bounce causing both testicles to slide to either side of the branch, though never quite clearing it. The branch lined up perfectly with his sheath, too, putting a considerable amount of pressure on his cock.

At this point Rygle was sure he was about to pass out, but a loud crack and the sensation of falling jerked him out of his daze. Next thing he knew, the wind was knocked clean out of him again in a loud whoosh as they impacted the ground. Sari ground her body against his for a moment, before getting off of him, stepping on his head as she did.

Rygle didn't even have the strength to curl up this time. He just lay there, trying to work air back into his lungs as waves of pain radiated from his groin. He felt like puking as the nut pain wormed its way into his guts, making him let out another groan.

Sari chuckled as she watched him for a moment, enjoying his suffering. "Come on, Rygle, it wasn't that bad. Get up."

He didn't bother telling her she had no idea how bad it was, instead he rolled to his side, looking down at his groin to make sure everything was okay. Despite what the pain made him think, his furry balls looked fine, if only a little bit swollen.

Rygle gasped as he felt a paw grab into the feathers on his head, yanking him forward. The gryphon got to his feet, stumbling straight into a hard punch to the side of his beak. Rygle's head snapped sideways, once again seeing stars. A backpaw hit the other side of his face, sending it in the opposite direction. He was dazed, beak hanging open.

"How DARE you!" The female said again as Rygle's legs trembled, about to fall. He was stopped by a paw on his throat which made him gag and choke loudly. He was lifted off his front paws as she shoved him back viciously against a tree, pinning his back to the bark.

As he lifted his paws to his throat he absently wondered at the female's strength. He was quite a bit larger than her, yet she was almost able to lift him. He didn't remember her being this strong before.

Balancing with the paw on his throat, she drew back her other paw and slammed it square into his furry gut.

"Ooooomph!"

He hadn't been ready and, with the hard surface of the tree behind him, the fist sank in deep, well past his muscles. The saliva that had collected in his mouth spewed out in a spray as the wind was knocked out of him for the third time. At this point, he really did think he was about to puke as she held the fist in place, keeping his diaphragm paralyzed. After letting him gag for a moment, she let him go, removing both paws. He crumpled forward immediately, hugging his stomach, leaving himself wide open for the knee that she thrust up between his thighs.

This blow was powerful enough to put him on the tips of his toes, her knee hitting him with a soft slap of fur on fur. Not having much air to exclaim his agony, he instead stared straight ahead, beak slack as drool leaked out the side. His balls were shoved upwards , the furry orbs pinned firmly against his sheath as she ground her knee deeply. His tail whipped up instinctively to cover his balls, but instead just wrapped over the female's foot.

With a final twist that made Rygle's face screw up in agony, she pulled back. Rygle started to go forward to his knees, his arms still wrapped around his belly. Sari whirled around, taking a quick peek over her shoulder to aim she slammed her foot back into his still wide open crotch, pinning his nutsack to the bark this time. This sent an electric jolt through the young gryphon, making him jump up and tremble uncontrollably as he was finally able to let out a high pitched screech of pain, eliciting a cackle from Sari. She finally backed off, letting the male slide down onto his ass, his head bowed as he clutched his nuts.

He couldn't seem to shake the pain; each breath seemed to send a lance of fire into his guts. He could feel the rubbery orbs past the fur, they were still intact, but were definitely swollen at this point. He continued to hold them gently as he groaned with each release of breath.

"You hurt me, Rygle."

Rygle looked up at the female. "And...what do you call what...ugh...what you just did to me?" He asked, still gasping for air.

"That pain will go away with time, what you did to, to my heart-"

"Oh, cut the bullshit," Rygle growled, glaring at her, "you go through males like-"

Before he could finish, she lunged at him again, but Rygle was ready. He kicked out hard, catching her in the shoulder and making her yelp in pain. Unfortunately, he had forgotten what kicking would do to his injured nuts. He squeaked loudly, his leg stuck in the outward position as he was afraid to draw it back in.

This gave Sari a perfect opening in which she was able to maneuver around his foot. She stopped right in front of him, grabbing his forearms and wrenching his paws away from his crotch. Then, without hesitation she reached forward and clamped a paw around his nuts and immediately squeezed

Rygle bucked instantly in surprise, his paws flying to hers in a desperate attempt to remove them. That's when she really started to add pressure. He squawked loudly again, hips still bucking as he writhed against the trunk of the tree, his wings flaring out and flapping behind him.

"I fucking hate you!" She whispered viciously in his ear before hoisting his nutsack upwards, stretching it obscenely. His eyes crossed again as he let out a long shaky moan.

"Ooooh! Sari, please, stop!...STOP!" He was about to unsheathe his claws, he had to. He hadn't wanted the fight to turn bloody, but at this point he had little choice.

A sound like thunder erupted behind Sari, loud enough that Rygle thought the world was being torn apart. Sari jumped, whirling around, backing away, panicked. Clarisse stood there, a long metal object pointed at the sky. A gun, Rygle knew the humans called it, the weapon that had given them an edge in most of their wars.

Clarisse stood there, chest heaving, looking like she had run miles without stopping, which she probably had. "Get out of here!" She yelled, pointing it at the female.

Sari backed up further, snarling, ears flattened, still shaken up.

"Get out of here or I'll shoot your goddamn beak!"

Sari turned to look at Rygle, "This isn't over, you piece of shit! Next time I'll-"

A second warning shot sent the female running into the forest, her wings banging clumsily into the branches as she did.

Clarisse watched her go, still holding gun up for a moment, then quickly rushed to the gryphon, gently leaning the rifle against the side of the tree. She knelt at his side, looking him over.

"Are you okay?" She asked gently, then noticed him clutching his groin, "Oh."

"Yeah," Rygle gasped back, rocking back and forth as he wheezed. The pain had lessened slightly, but not enough that he could stop writhing.

"Damn it, I'm sorry," Clarisse said, caressing his feathered head gently, "I shouldn't have gotten her mad like that."

Rygle leaned his head into the caress, closing his eyes, trying to concentrate on the good feeling, rather than the war that was taking place down below. With an effort, he pried one of his paws away from his nuts, wrapping that arm around the human. She snuggled in next to him, leaning against his chest. In this very human sitting position, he looked more like a man than she had ever seen him. She trailed a hand over his muscled bicep, down his broad chest, then down his soft stomach and past the indent in the fur where his navel was. She stopped at the top of his thick sheath, rubbing that with her hand.

"Not now, Clarisse, it's gonna take me a while to feel up for anything," The gryphon said, nipping her hair with his beak.

Clarisse shrugged, running her hand past his sheath to his heavily muscled thighs, before bringing it back to his crotch, ruffling up the fur along the way. "We don't have to do anything, just giving you a massage, that bitch really did a number on you."

Rygle laughed softly, giving Clarisse a brief squeeze, "Well don't tease me, then, I've been pent up all week, you know."

Clarisse rested her head against his chest, listening to his rough breathing. "I know I don't have to ask about you guys fucking in the woods, because I trust you, but-"

"Nothing happened, except her rubbing up against me," Rygle said, leaning his head back against the bark.

"You know, that was really rude when you said she was so ugly you chose me over her. Not that I don't think she's ugly, but you still kinda said I'm not pretty."

Rygle sighed, "I was trying to get her away from you, you look alright." A nudge from Clarisse made Rygle laugh, "Alright, you're prettier than any other gryphoness I've ever met,"

The sarcastic tone in his voice led Clarisse to pat the paw that was on his crotch.

"Hey!" he yelped, his thighs jerking up.

"Sorry! Sorry," She said, smirking, then sighed and leaned back against his chest. "I'm in huge trouble for taking that gun, I'm pretty sure they heard it go off, I have to think of some excuse. I should go soon."

Rygle sighed, disappointed. "Alright, I'll just sit here alone and suffer," he said sulkily.

"Hey, I'll be back here before dawn, alright? Then we can take care of that other ache of yours. Sound good?"

"Sure, but remember, I'm not the patient type. I may have to resort to my paw."

"You'd better not!" She said, swatting his arm.

Human voices could be heard out towards the clearing and Clarisse quickly hugged him, pecking him on the beak before getting up and grabbing the gun. "I'll see you tonight. Love you!"

Rygle returned his paw to his crotch, grunting as he did, "Love you too, and don't be late this time!"

"I'll try not to be!" She called back, walking quickly into the trees toward the settlement, disappearing into the forest.

Seeing as she was gone, Rygle let out another small moan, leaning back and gently rubbing himself. He knew that Sari would be back, probably with an intent to inflict permanent damage. But he would worry about that when the time came. Right now, he just wanted to curl into a ball a cradle his aching nuts.
