Chapter Twelve.

Part 1 of 2

Overwhelming Completion of Grace & Beauty

Dawn and Evin called their pokemon back as they left the city to walk ever onward to the next. A city Dawn was confident that they could make it to in time for the contest she had originally come to this region for, if they didn't waste too much time. Making sure no one could hear them, she asked Dawn in private, "Is he your new traveling companion?" Dawn nodded, and May replied, "He's cute, Ash and I have been traveling together again since coming to this region for a while now. We've been investigating strange occurrences, but we went our separate ways when this contest came up. Have you slept with him yet?"

The contest stadium was a spectacular sight for Evin to behold, as he watch trainers get their pokemon to show off moves with a grace and precision he had never seen, while at the same time looking beautiful. He saw first hand how other trainers combined moves to make deadly powerful dazzlingly combos, while still showing off the pokemon and how well the coordinators worked with their pokemon.

Both Dawn and May made it to the finals and both made it through their matches until it was just them against each other in the last battle. For the final battle May used Skitty and Dawn used Servine; the battle began with the roar of the crowd and both pokemon collided on the field.

The battle was fluent and dazzling and at times had people on the edge of their seats. Evin cheered for Dawn and he saw a physical difference in the battle when he did this, as Dawn took control and made May loose a lot of points. May made a come back though, as the pokemon began stalemating each other's moves while she got some time to think.

Then after a few more matched moves, the match was decided that Dawn had won by just a few more points, which had been just before May could actually finish things up. The crowd cheered and along with them Evin and Rika, it had been a spectacular battle and May congratulated Dawn for her hard work and effort and Dawn did the same back as the rivals were then presented to the crowd.

Once the ribbons were awarded, Evin and Rika went backstage to meet them once they were done, as he wanted to congratulate them both. But as he and Rika made their way down the tunnel to waiting area, they spotted a man in black with a big red R on his back just as he was running away from something he just placed on a wall.

Evin probed the man's mind with such malicious intensity that it knocked the man out as he did a sliding face plant on the ground. But Evin now knew what was about to happen and jumped for Rika who was a bit ahead of him just as the wall exploded from the C-4 charge the Rocket member had placed.

When Rika opened her eyes after the blast, she saw Evin standing over her with a shield surrounding them. Evin looked at the device on his arm and smiled, but his good fortune was short lived as several more explosions went off in other places that resounded throughout the area.

Fear gripped Evin as he thought about where Dawn was and he yelled, "Rika, Quick! Follow me!" and dashed forward past the smoking wall and only turned momentarily to see the man who was out cold on the floor with a big piece of cement on one leg, that had probably crushed it.

He sensed a multitude of dark minds nearby, but right now his only concern was Dawn, as he tried to search through the hundreds of panicked minds for her as he ran. He knew that they were going to have a lot of company any minute now as he and Rika dashed from one hallway to the next. From the member that he had probed with his mind, Evin had learned that Team Rocket intended to capture everyone at the stadium all at once. They intended to take the entire congregation's multitudes of prime award winning pokemon and much more in one big raid as Evin now heard the air ship engines overhead.

Evin and Rika ran until they came to a collapsed tunnel and seeing that there was no way through, he formed a huge aura sphere with both hands as he prepared to blast a hole in the wall. He blasted a hole through the wall towards what he was sure was the side of the stadium that no one was on. After the leftover ruble quit falling and the dust cleared, he dashed through the hole and found himself surrounded by Team Rocket.

Grunts and two executives alike with all of their pokemon out were facing him. May was fending off a small army with her Venusaur, Glaceon and Blaziken. Dawn was doing the same from another direction with her Herdier, Piplup, Cilia, and her tired Servine.

Noise was the only thing Evin could make out in the way of sound as several of Team Rocket's airships hovered above the stadium. He called forth Reshiram and Victini and had Victini power up Reshiram and called for Reshiram to use dragon pulse.

The move exploded forth with many times the force that the move usually could have. This knocked all the Rocket members and pokemon that were near Reshiram flying across the stadium, bouncing off the ground as they kept going from the momentum with their pokemon close in toe.

Evin then called for Reshiram to do as she saw fit while he, Victini and Rika rescued Dawn and May. Reshiram growled an affirmative and took flight as she started raining fusion flares and dragon breath at all black clothed Rocket members she saw.

Evin had Rika and Victini team up to take out the pokemon that were attacking May, while he, Shadow, and Zora, went after the ones attacking Dawn. He started by having Zora and Shadow team up using night daze and dark pulse, but both attacks seemed to hit the other pokemon with little effect.

So he then switched it up and grabbed all the Rocket members blocking their path with a psychic attack and used all his will power to slam the opposing people and pokemon into the wall of the stadium. But these members were anything but weak, and got up again as they retaliated with a hydro pump, a hyper beam and an aurora beam at Evin.

Evin blocked using his aura shield powers and the aura wall sent the attacks flying up into the air where they dissipated harmlessly as they traveled. More Team Rocket members began to join this fight though as Evin drew more and more attention to himself. Though some of the pokemon and people got blasted away by Reshiram. Before Evin knew it, Rocket members and their pokemon surrounded him on all sides as they worked together to bring him down.

Teaming up, they all began to power up to blast, and Evin prepared himself for the fight of his life as the attacks were launched. He created as small and dense a shield as he could around himself, Zora, and Shadow as this happened, and for the most part most of the attacks were deflected. But some of the attacks were rock and steel type moves that cracked the shield when they hit. Then just as the last two attacks hit the shield, it shattered, and in the last half second Evin wrapped Zora and Shadow in his jacket as they were hit.

They went flying across the stadium, leaving a trail of smoke in their wake as Evin saw black and yellow stars as the brief glimpse of blue-sky flash past his eyes. He tumbled through the air with his pokemon for a pretty good distance before he rolled when they hit the ground.

For the most part it was the landings that really hurt, the attacks had hurt a lot too, but didn't seem to have even scratched his jacket, much less his armor. He suspected that if had not had this new armor, that he could have lost pieces of himself in that. Zora quickly ran over to Evin from where she had been tossed just as Evin fired a few aura spheres at his opponents, and then spent the next minute dodging a bunch of attacks.

Just when the groups of Rocket members were closing in around them again, Evin heard Reshiram cry out in pain as two black rings incased her and more came from the sky out of the air ships. Two more entrapped her within them and were electrocuting her. Two came at Evin, and two more for every other pokemon still fighting and just as Reshiram hit the ground they saw who was behind this.

The two executives that Evin and the others had once beat in the forest maze of Pinwheel forest to save Zora. Evin yelled as the electricity passed through him as the rings picked him up into the air. He could hear all the pokemon in the stadium in similar pain along with several other trainers, Dawn and May included.

Evin wanted to stop this with every fiber of his being, but could do nothing from inside the rings as they continued to shock him. Seeing Evin floating in the middle of the rings, the Rocket members were sure they had won as they ordered the rest of the organization to finish securing the stadium.
