Chapter 53: Ink & Ice
Thomas bids farewell to his companions as they set off for Poke Pelago without him. But while trying to rid himself of the horrifying Malamar he never wanted to catch, Thomas is given an offer he cannot refuse.
[This story does contain explicit material, so if you're under the age of 18, you probably shouldn't read any further, blah blah blah.]
The world throbbed back into existence as Thomas roused from his uneasy slumber. His head span and body ached for what felt like an eternity before he swung his legs over the edge of the bed and sought about the rudimentary - yet daunting - task of standing. He initially reasoned his sleep on the couch was to blame, though he’d become adept at finding the ‘right’ way to lie on any surface in the many years he’d spent sleeping on the streets and inside abandoned and condemned buildings. But as his fingers curled through bed sheets and his eyes adjusted to the morning light, Thomas realised he’d have to retread the events of the previous night in his mind to understand how he wound up in Zana’s room.
“Jeremy, Zana…” He mumbled, remembering their fight before he turned down for the night “Couch… Coins?” His eyes went wide as his gut dropped into place. Whether from finally reorganising itself from the severe pounding he’d gotten the night before or just simply the sensation of knowing something had just gone horribly awry, Thomas was unsure. What concerned him was the missing time between the Hoopa’s climax, his subsequent loss of consciousness, and his waking in the hotel room.
Thomas ran fingers through his well-shampooed hair and felt something strange. He pulled his hand in front of his face and there upon one finger sat a golden ring. It glistened with the kind of importance only ancient gold can. Newer gold was too shiny, too ‘manufactured’ whereas this was burnished and pitted. The sort of ring a collector would stampede across a room to get a look at, but a fashionista would turn away from. Thomas admired its simplicity, running his fingers along its surface to somehow try and remind him more of the night before. But it was of no use. As though a dream, the events in Hoopa’s realm were like scattered fragments through Thomas’ mind; occasional breaths of memory punctuated with blurry sensations and half-remembered ramblings.
Except for one, very specific exchange.
“Finally awake.” Zana hummed musically from the doorway. She seemed to be in a far better mood than Thomas was expecting, which immediately roused the man’s suspicions.
“Is that what this is called?” He moaned, falling backwards onto the bed, pulling the silken sheets over his eyes to jokingly cut out the light. But Zana was quick to rip them back off. “Gah!” Thomas scrambled for the covers, managing to yank them back, his speed and strength catching the Zoroark off-guard, causing her to fall onto the bed, coming muzzle to nose with Thomas. Her breath puffed against his face as she recovered from the fall, chuckling to herself while planting her hands either side of his shoulders.
“As much as I’d love to have some fun, my pet…” The spicy scent of Tamato berry wafted down into Thomas’ nostrils “You’ve already slept most of the morning away, and the others are getting a little… cooped up, here in paradise.”
Thomas sighed, placing his hands on Zana’s forearms. “Well, where’s Jeremy?”
“He left early to get ‘some training’ in with Koa.” She huffed.
“Oh, he finally named the fluffball?” Thomas asked somewhat rhetorically, but Zana nodded regardless. “Koa. It’s nice.”
“And Zye’s catching some morning sun on the roof.” Zana added, looking up to the ceiling. It was then Thomas noticed the lack of that mental static he was so used to with the legendary close by. Zye wasn’t listening. Zana noticed the man’s pupils dilate as a sense of importance washed over Thomas. “What…?”
Thomas span around on the bed, sitting upright next to Zana before pulling her up next to him. He could have sworn she’d swooned as he scooped her up in his arms, but Thomas put that aside for the time being as he wasn’t sure how long he’d have to say what he needed to say. “Zana, Hoopa told me something last night.”
She smirked, “Heard he did more than talk, if Zye-”
“It involves Zye.” Thomas interrupted. He bit his tongue as he realised he’d interrupted his Mistress, but in that moment it felt like it had when they were back on Squishy racing to Alola and when Zana didn’t immediately tell him off, but instead shared his air of concern, he continued. “He told me that Zye’s changed me. And not just with the whole ‘Aura’ thing.” Thomas gulped, trying to remember the exact words in the jumbled mess of memories racing through his mind. “I’m not totally human anymore.”
“I’m sorry- you’re… what?” Zana managed, the man’s revelation coming completely out of the blue.
“Remember in the park, back in Wooloobell? Zye told us that his… ‘seed’...” Zana raised an eyebrow “His cum. He said his cum could make any pokemon pregnant, but what resulted wouldn’t be them, wouldn’t be him, it’d be something else.”
“Yeah,” Zana sighed. “He mentioned that back on the Dianne. And that he was holding back while with me.” Those last few words were considerably more grumbled than the rest.
Thomas took a deep breath. “Yeah. Yeah…” Thomas let the room fall into silence for a moment, not sure how to broach how disappointed Zana seemed with that notion. “Well, turns out he wasn’t ‘holding back’ when it came to me.” Zana looked more disappointed than angry at that revelation, and Thomas wasn’t sure if what he was about to say next would make it worse, but he was too far in now, and the possibility of Zye coming to his senses soon was too risky for him to continue pausing. “His seed… changed me. I’m no longer just Thomas, not just human. But I’m not a pokemon either. I’m… between. Mixed.” ‘Both, neither.’ The Hoopa’s words echoed through his mind.
Zana sighed, pulling Thomas into a hug. “You’re still Thomas. Still my lover, my pet.” She stroked claws through his hair. Zana’s breath trembled, and Thomas could feel her chest shudder as she tried to stay calm enough not to cry. He returned her kind gestures and began stroking her hair as well. They stayed for a while petting each other, comforting each other as Zana built up the courage to speak. “My… breasts.” She gulped, pulling far enough out of the embrace to look Thomas in the eye. “You know they’re not…”
The man nodded. “You said… ‘He’ gave them to you.” Thomas was trying to skirt around the topic, a topic he’d desperately wanted to grill Zana about since hearing of her troubled past, but not wanting to dredge up repressed memories by prying too hard. But as Zana straightened up and took a deep breath, Thomas realised he might finally get some answers to his unspoken questions.
“It was painful, and it cost… a lot.” Zana sighed through gritted teeth, prompting Thomas to give her a comforting squeeze. “Hormone Therapy, they called it. The right cells in the right place, changing me from who I was into… this.” Thomas was about to launch into the same speech Zana had given him moments earlier, but she silenced him with a smile. “I know, I know. It’s taken me a long time to accept me for me. And, well, I don’t think I would have if not for you.” Zana stroked through Thomas’ hair, grazing a claw lightly across his cheek as she held his gaze. “Like you, I’m not Pokemon, not Human. I’m between.”
It took Thomas a moment to catch up. “Wait, those, those are… real?” Zana nodded. “They… I didn’t think that was possible. Human and pokemon DNA… it-”
“If you have enough money, anything is possible. Unfortunately, the whole process had lasting effects on me. And not just… these.” She pulled her hands from Thomas’ head to cup her fur-hidden breasts, squeezing them together. Despite the soft downy coat across her torso, Thomas could see the swell and fall of the follicles, the cleavage noticable enough at this distance. Zana released her bosom, wrapping her arms around her midsection nervously. “They took more than my dignity that day, they took any chance - any hope - of being a mother.”
The news hit Thomas harder than he was expecting. A torrent of rage and sadness filled him as his Mistress poured her heart out. Their strengthened bond from his experimenting a few days earlier with the strange powers Zye had unwittingly given him was coming back to bite him in the arse as her emotions broke through his mind to flood his soul. He wondered whether she was feeling the same - or at least feeling the feedback - as she too tensed for a moment before taking several deep calming breaths. With their hands sliding to interlock with each other, the two helped get each other’s emotions under control, first their breathing falling into synch, followed by their heartbeats.
It was Thomas who broke the silence. “I will do everything I can to bring that hope back.” Those words were spoken with such honest conviction, Zana had no choice but to believe them, a spark of a long lost dream reigniting inside her like a single cracked glowstick at the bottom of a cave. “Whether it’s at the Institute’s labs, or somewhere else. Whatever it takes, wherever we have to go. Anything for my Zana.” He pulled her in tight, hugging the Zoroark close.
That’s when the two of them felt it, the mental static. Zana sighed, giving Thomas one last squeeze before getting up off the bed. Thomas’ sigh was a little delayed, but as he got up after his Mistress and began hunting for his pants, he thought as loud as he could ‘Enjoy the Sunrise?’
‘It was substantially invigorating.’ Came Zye’s response, a subtle booming bass of power resonating in each word. The change was obvious to Thomas, who grinned.
With the bedroom door left open upon Zana’s exit, he was now visible to the other residents of their Sunset Suite, and Mac came bounding in to give him the best approximation of a hug the Scolipede could manage. “Hey Mac, good morning.” Pulling himself off the floor and out of the room, he was met with a somewhat more tame hug from Carmen. Thomas gave her a peck on the cheek before ruffling her antennae. “So, what’s on the books for this morning?”
Barely five minutes later, Thomas was being shuffled into the elevator, through the lobby and out onto the mid-morning Alolan streets. With Jeremy still out training, the group had decided to check out the local shops given the Kommo-o had done his fair share of shopping the day before. Zye had even decided to come with, resorting to his canine form to cause as little disturbance as possible. First up was the usual treat store. Thomas made sure everyone got a pack of their favourites, with Mac dragging Thomas to the cafe outside for some macarons as well.
Next up was an accessories store, where Zana pointed out several of them would do well to have some sunscreen and other assorted bits for their time at Poke Pelago. Thomas relented, and they came out with several tubes of ointments and creams for reducing sun damage on an assortment of skin and fur types. Carmen found a tube of pills that would alter her slime consistency to one more capable at reflecting UV rays, while Zana spotted a particularly fancy pair of sunglasses she ‘just had to have’.
Upon leaving the shop of assorted trinkets, Thomas spied Jeremy returning from his training on the other side of the island. As the oversized Kommo-o waved to get the man’s attention, a spirited and dusty Koa sprinted over to headbutt the Quilava. Jeremy slowly made his way up the boulevard, amazed at the smaller pokemon’s seemingly limitless energy. He stopped beside Carmen, giving her a shoulder bump as he looked at Thomas. <Finally awake?>
Thomas sighed, Jeremy still seemed a little raw about the previous night’s antics given the pokemon’s tone. Though he was unsure if the disappointment was due to their little heist or what came after. “Can’t stay in bed all day.” He chuckled. “How was training? Koa going well?” It was a boring avenue of questions, but Thomas was curious how it was all going for the first Trainer-Pokemon from Poni island.
Jeremy smiled hearing Thomas say his starter’s chosen name. <Training was good. Koa’s got some amazing energy.> The fire pokemon purred proudly as it leapt back up his trainer’s scales to once more sit atop Jeremy’s shoulder. <Far more than I did at his size.>
“Imagining you at Koa’s size is… real hard, not gonna lie.” Thomas chuckled. Jeremy threw his arm around the man’s shoulders, the tension inside Thomas melting away under his masters touch. “We should do something before you all head off. Something together.”
Jeremy grinned wickedly, his narrowed eyes causing Thomas to rethink his suggestion. <Oh, I think I know of just the thing.>
“Oooh, do tell.” Zana half growled, her playfulness edging to maximum as Thomas felt like the toy he was.
<I think it would be far better to show.> He gestured for the throng to follow, and they did happily, all too curious as to the Kommo-o’s amusement. They hadn’t travelled so much as a single city block before he stopped. <Here we are.> He pointed Thomas towards the shopfront they stopped at, and the man’s eyes went wide.
“Toni’s Tattoos?” He gulped.
“Oh, this is too good.” Zana laughed. “Well, get a move on.” She grabbed Thomas by the shoulders and began pushing him towards the doors. He came to his senses after several steps and picked up his pace to walk without her pushing, and opened the large double doors.
The shop was clearly set up for both human and pokemon clients, with a rather stroppy Azumarill in the process of getting inked in the corner. Instead of multiple chairs of different sizes, it seemed this place had just one type of chair with a dozen or more accessories hung on the wall which could be fit in an assortment of ways to accommodate even the larger species of pokemon. The air was stale and the shutters on the windows made the space dark and murky. A chirpy voice rang out from behind the Azumarill “With you in a sec.”
As the rest of Thomas’ crew poured into the shop, the tattoo artist pulled herself away from her client and strode over. She was a lot younger than Thomas was expecting, though truth be told he was expecting a burly man with a long beard and scars, not a surly teen in a crop top and dyed hair. She snapped off an ink-stained glove, holding her still ink stained hand out for Thomas to shake. “Toni. Here for some ink?”
Thomas took her hand and shook it with the grim determination of a man damned. “Thomas, and, I guess so.”
“I don’t deal in guesses Darlin’.” Toni sighed, Jeremy giving the man a glare.
“I mean, I want a tattoo, I’m just… not sure what.” Thomas reasoned, trying to salvage his first impression.
“Weeeeell,” Toni took a deep breath, indicating the pictures lining the walls “We got plenty of examples around the place, a few binders over there.” She pointed to a desk near the entryway with several folders and magazines atop it. “But really, if it’s your first one- it is your first, right?” Thomas nodded. “Should be sommin’ special then.” She looked to the others. “Anyone got some suggestions for Tommy boy?”
Thomas hated that nickname, but he shrugged the comment off, turning to his friends for their response. Zana looked to Jeremy, who looked around the group, none of them entirely sure what he should get. Squishy spoke up, much to Toni’s surprise. <All scales, across your whole body. That way you could look like me!>
“Did that Gyarados just say-”
“Yes. It’s a… long story.”
“MARILL!” Came a shout from the corner.
Toni growled “I’ll be there in a MOMENT, Avi! Just welcoming new customers.” She rolled her eyes. “Have a think about it, I’m about ten minutes off done for that one.” She hiked a thumb over her shoulder at the impatient pokemon. “Feel free to take a seat ‘till then.” She turned on her heels, fists clenching as she returned to her needles.
Thomas sat down as suggested, while Zana began flipping through pages of the magazines. She turned one to show Carmen upon spotting a full-body tattoo across a goodra as a centrefold. <Any ideas?> Jeremy asked, placing a hand on the man’s shoulder. Initially he just wanted to watch Thomas squirm, maybe get a local tribal tattoo or something similar, but he could tell the man was quite torn.
“Aside from making a mad dash for the exit?” He took a few deep breaths. “Something important. Something meaningful. Something… personal.” He thought about how these marks would be permanent, and what he’d want to make permanent in that way. Then he remembered, this wasn’t the first time. With ink perhaps, but as he remembered his time with Jeremy on the Seadra Promise, and the scars he was left with from the pokemon’s claws. He rubbed his thighs with a smile. Jeremy was a few moments behind his old trainer, smiling as he realised what he was thinking.
A grumpy Azumarill pushed past Thomas’ cadre of pokemon and left the building, heralding Toni’s arrival. Once the door had closed she huffed “Just can’t please some people.” She turned to Thomas. “Right, so come to a decision?”
“Yes.” The others turned to see what Thomas had chosen, but not seeing any example in his hands, waited patiently for him to explain. Except for Mac, who had found the design of a whirlipede with flames and smoke flowing behind it in one of the magazines and was trying to thrust it into Thomas’ hands. The man took the magazine, smiled and pat his starter on the head. “Love the style, but maybe next time for that one.” Mac chirped a disappointed chirp, head bowing down. “Oh, don’t be like that, you still get some input.” He ruffled the bug pokemon’s antennae.
“So what’s it to be?” Toni asked, pulling out a sketch pad.
“Hand prints. Well, claw prints for the most part.” Thomas pulled one leg of his shorts up, revealing a scar left by the seviper way back at Cannab. “I’ll get Dusty- uh, my Surfsdale’s hoof mark there,” he traced around the bottom of the scar in a U shape “And… uh-” Jeremy walked over, pulling the sides of his shorts up even further to reveal the scars he already made. He traced his claws around them while Toni’s eyes went wide. Thomas, gulping tried to keep things on topic “Those ones can be outlined, you don’t need to cover the scars themselves.”
Mac was next to show where he wanted his claws, grabbing Thomas from behind and holding him in place, several sets of triangular claw marks along the man’s torso being quickly noted by the artist. Carmen took the opportunity while Thomas was being held captive to place her stubby hand atop Thomas’ heart on his chest, smiling warmly.
<Me too! Me too! Around Carmen’s!>
“A Goodra print here,” Thomas translated for Toni “Wrapped in a… Gyarados tail?” Squishy nodded. “What about-” He turned to face Zana, who grabbed his package much to everyone’s shock. Toni looked from the Zoroark to Thomas and back.
“Something wrong?” Zana said with a playful growl.
“I- uh…” Toni gulped “I don’t tat… ‘those’ bits.” pointing at the man’s crotch with her pen.
“Ugh, fine. What about here?” She placed her paw so the middle of her claws pointed down to his member, the other two either side spread in a relaxed manner. Toni nodded, suddenly realising what she’d gotten herself into.
Mac released Thomas as Griff walked over, the Noivern turning the man around for his back to face Toni. Jeremy gave him a cocked eyebrow but stifled a gasp when the fellow dragon type placed his hand on Thomas’ back, mirroring the scar left by Jeremy on his own. Thomas took a deep breath as well, realising the significance of that mark.
With the rest of the pokemon standing silently, Toni looked about the room. “Uh, anyone else?”
Thomas looked to Zye, but the green and black canine just stared back at him. “I’d also like to get a hexagon - an elongated one, with a second smaller one inside it - right about… here.” he said, indicating the part of his neck just below his skull. A small lightning-bolt shaped arm popped out of his head to trace a shape just behind his ear. Thomas felt Gem’s touch, but relied on Toni’s observance to appropriately translate it. She sketched a quick zig-zag of appropriate size to show him. “And yeah, sure. Lightning bolt near the ear.”
“So, you want all those ‘marks’ on you?” She looked over the list, then gave him another once over. “You sure?”
“I’m sure.” Thomas said with a deep breath.
“Even with Abbot’s help, that’ll take a couple of sittings.” Toni said, and preempting the question already beginning to form on Thomas’ lips, she whistled. A Metang popped into view from the back room, hovering over to join the group.
“I’m here for a few days while they all take a break at Poke Pelago. So I have time.”
“But do you have the stamina?” Toni remarked offhandedly.
<Damn right he does.> Jeremy growled. The Metang stared in awe at the insinuation, while Toni took the tone for what it was and didn’t ask any further questions.
“Uh, well…” She muttered before collecting herself and focusing back on the job “Take a seat over there, I’ll get the machine ready.”
Thomas gave his friends all a hug, letting them head off with Jeremy to explore more of the island while he stayed back to get inked. Gem and Carmen both chose to remain to keep him company, and while Squishy was reluctant to leave the Goodra, she urged him to go with the rest and have fun; the insinuation that there was a beach nearby finally getting him to leave.
The following few hours of tattoo work left Thomas sore and red around each set of lines, with Toni and Abbott first outlining all of the marks before going back to fill them in. True to her word, once it reached her lunchtime only a third of the assorted claw marks had been filled in. Deciding to break for the day, Toni fills Thomas in on the ‘do’s and don'ts’ of new tattoos, including staying away from swimming for at least a couple of weeks. At which point he realises that thanks to this spontaneous act, he won’t have a chance to swim in the pristine Alolan waters.
With Carmen consoling him on that fact, Thomas leaves the tattoo parlour to find the rest of his companions. As soon as his mental link with Zye picks up he manages to find them at a food court enjoying their own lunch after a morning of shopping. Several bags of goodies lay at the Kommo-o’s feet as he beckons Thomas to join them. As the man approaches, he’s given a signal to lift his shirt by several of the pokemon gathered around the tables. He does so with a joking huff, revealing the slow progress. “Still got a couple sessions left.”
<They’re gonna look amazing.> Jeremy smiles
“They look painful.” Zana tuts, moving closer to inspect them.
<You should use a potion.> Mac suggested, trying to be helpful. All but the Quilava and Litten have a good laugh at that, even Thomas chuckling as he put his shirt back down.
<Well, why don’t you?> Koa asked, looking to his trainer for an answer.
<Human’s don’t react to potions the same way we do. Here, I’ll show you.> Jeremy pulled out a potion from a belt around his waist and gestured for Thomas to once again lift his shirt. The man did so without hesitation and breathed a sigh of relief as the cool fluid was misted onto his reddened skin. He was expecting Jeremy to say something like ‘There, see.’ but instead he got a curious rumbling of assorted pokemon noises as the redness around the various tattoos faded back to normal skin colour. <Uh…>
<Uh what?> Thomas asked, trying to look down at the exposed tattoos. Instead Jeremy pulled his shorts down a little lower than the man was comfortable for in such a public space and began dousing the assorted red patches, healing them as he went. This utterly baffled Jeremy, but Zana’s eyes opened wide in realisation. She looked to Thomas, getting his attention before flicking her gaze in Zye’s direction. Thomas quickly caught on and was trying to think of a way out of it.
But Zana was faster. “You should have seen your face!” She laughed, pointing at Jeremy as Thomas’ skin shimmered back to it’s inflamed state. The illusion Thomas knew would need to be kept up as long as he continued to show off the tats, so he quickly dropped his shirt and pulled the shorts back up.
<Very funny.> Jeremy glimly responded, though he couldn’t hide the knowing smile of being caught out by her prank. The rest of the squad had their own little chuckle at the display before forgetting about it entirely, much to Zana and Thomas’ relief. <Well, we have only an hour or so before we need to get ready for Poke Pelago, so we should make our way back to the hotel.>
“Fair enough.” Thomas said, smiling weakly. “We’ll get you off then.”
<Who’s ‘we’?> Jeremy grinned, waggling his eyebrows.
“You’re incorrigible.” Zana purred, licking her lips. Dusty’s whinny was groaned out as he rolled his eyes, while the rest of the crew chuckled. Thomas, who finally got the joke just shook his head as he grabbed some of the shopping bags.
It took many hugs and a lot of persuading before the plethora of pokemon all got onto the transport shuttle to the docks, though only Jeremy was riding outside his pokeball. He’d explained to Thomas the extent of the procedure he’d undergone and why his ball would not work properly as soon as the elixir had properly taken hold. Thomas was surprised, but happy for his lover and the two shared a lengthy hug before the shuttle was forced to depart. And as it rounded the corner past a building, Thomas was alone again; save for the Rotom in his head and the Malamar in his room.
“Ah shit. The Malamar.” He shook his head, realising now was as good a time as any to resolve that little mistake. Thomas took the elevator back up to the sunset suite and retrieved the dive ball, rolling it in his hand over and over, trying to decide the best course of action. Professor Comosus’ voice flitted through his memory, two words finally settling on his mind after some time. “Aether House.” He strode over to the helpful bundle of business flyers provided with the room and came across his solution.
“Aether House, where Pokemon and People huddle together.” He read aloud, skimming the rest of the brochure. It appeared to be an Aether Foundation-run centre with the primary goal of being an orphanage for both Pokemon and Humans alike. The flyer showed off the vast array of equipment and services at the facility, and seemed very much more geared to those wishing to adopt rather than disown. He took a deep breath. “If anyone’s gonna help us out with this, it’ll be them.” He said, mainly for Gem’s benefit, but also to try and get himself motivated enough to make the trip. “Looks like we’re going on a ferry ride.”
By the time they arrived at Malie city it was well into the afternoon, Thomas shielding his eyes from the descending sun still a few hours away from sunset. The ferry dropped them off at the docks, and spying a bike rental stand not too far away, Thomas prepared himself for a long ride. Gem pointed out almost immediately that it was one of those new Rotom Bikes, and they would love to have a go. Not one to deny his pokemon a moment of fun, Thomas allowed the energetic sprite to take control and was glad he did. What would have taken him an hour took Gem nearly half the time, with the pair pulling up to the Aether House steps in a cloud of dust.
Thomas dusted himself off, the arid landscape of routes twelve and thirteen having given him a light coating of fine yellow sand and orange dirt. Once sufficiently presentable - for Thomas anyway - the pair re-united and entered the white building. He looked around the room and noticed an Oranguru sitting at a desk on the other side of the foyer. The pokemon’s eyes shifted up from whatever it was reading and beckoned him over. It pulled out a series of index cards, holding up ‘Human Adoption’ and ‘Pokemon Adoption’ just above a plaque indicating that the oranguru being the Headmaster.
“Uh, neither. I have one to… drop off.” Thomas said nervously.
<You humans…> Headmaster grumbled
“In my defence-” Thomas tried, but he was cut off by the grumbling pokemon.
<Oh, I’m sure it’s something completely reasonable.> It said sarcastically. <Caught a pokemon with a better type? Maybe it’s having trouble learning a move?>
“It tried to kill me and the only way I could save myself and my friends lives was to ball it.” Thomas interrupted. “Not completely reasonable, but the best I could do at the time.”
The Oranguru paused, putting the stack of index cards down as it massaged it’s temples with long, thick fingers. <So, what is it?>
Thomas was a little surprised not to be asked how he could understand the pokemon, but reasoned they had probably seen a lot in their life and him understanding them was pretty low on the list of strange. He retrieved the dive ball, holding it out for Headmaster to see. “Malamar, Vandimland variant.” The oranguru’s eyebrows shot up, knowing what Malamar are like, regardless of where it was from. “Really hates-”
<Humans. I know.> They indicate for Thomas to hand over the ball, which he does so quickly. <You really need to think about the pokemon you’re throwing a ball at.>
“But-”
<But nothing.> Headmaster was suppressing a good deal of a lecture that Thomas knew they wanted to give. Maybe they were holding back because they understood Thomas had no other option. Or maybe it was because they didn’t think he’d listen because so many others had come in just like him. Thomas held his breath for the pokemon to continue. Then a flash of inspiration appeared behind Headmaster’s eyes. <How about a trade?>
Thomas was not expecting that. “A… Trade?”
<You want to get this Malamar pretty far away from you, I can tell.> Headmaster commented, noting how Thomas was lightly recoiling when offered the dive ball back. <Well, I have a pokemon here that I really want gone.>
Thomas thought of what pokemon could possible be worse than a Malamar, and his imagination ran wild. “Uh… heh, a pokemon you want gone.”
<If you agree to take Skye with you, I’ll even do all the paperwork.>
“Skye?” Thomas repeated, the whole conversation going in a drastically different direction than he’d hoped.
Headmaster typed into a small computer console on the desk, and a few seconds later an electronic voice echoed through the halls. “Skye to the front desk, Sky to the front desk, thank you.” <She would attack hikers up on mount Lanakila until one fought back hard enough that she wound up in here. After rehabilitation and learning more about humans through our programs she’s decided she doesn’t want to go back to living on the mountain. But as she has trouble with… boundaries, she keeps getting in trouble in the city and sent back here.>
“So,” Thomas thought through the info dump relayed to him by Gem “If I take Skye, you take the Malamar, no questions asked?”
<Why phrase it like that?>
<Like what?> A solemn voice said from through a doorway nearby. Thomas turned to find the owner of the voice and was once again surprised by the days turn of events. A small, icey blue form about half Thomas’ height stared up at him with glossy black eyes. Gem connected to the pokedex and read out the entry into the man’s earpiece. ‘Sandslash, The Mouse Pokemon. Alolan variant. It runs across snow-covered plains at high speeds. It developed thick, sharp claws to plough through the snow.’
<What I mean is… is there anything wrong with it?> Headmaster rephrased, trying to figure out why Thomas said ‘no questions asked’.
Thomas greeted the new arrival with a nod and smile before turning back to Headmaster. “Nothing wrong, got it looked at by a pokecenter as soon as I was able. The one on Poni island?”
<That’s pretty far from where it’s native waters are, isn’t it?> Headmaster commented flatly, unimpressed by Thomas’ blase attitude towards healing the Malamar.
“Look, between then and now I’ve been shot at by smugglers, hunted by genocidal maniacs, fought a life-or-death battle alongside a hundred pokemon, and surfed from well below the equator all the way here thanks to a determined Surfsdale and - quite frankly - insane Gyarados. I got the Malamar to a pokecenter. As. Soon. As. I. Could.” He punctuated the last few words then regretted it, realising he sounded like an asshole. “I just want to be as far away from it as possible. So I can… forget what it did.”
Leaving his rant hanging there caused both Headmaster and Skye to ponder exactly what happened, though the Oranguru quickly decided it was not worth their time to ask. Changing the topic, they cleared their throat. <Skye, this is…>
“Thomas. Thomas Drake.” He knelt down to be at the pokemon’s eye level.
<Thomas Drake?!> Headmaster’s exclamation caused the man to facepalm. He really needed to work on this whole inconspicuous thing. <The Rocketbane?>
<The What?> Sky asked, confused.
“The What?” Thomas asked, shocked.
<You took down the Vandimlandian Team Rocket, right?> Headmaster looked honestly surprised and a little flattered at Thomas’ presence.
“Rocket Rising, yeah. Real long story there.”
<Hold on, hold on…> They tapped away at their computer before bringing up the video from the Wooloobell theatre. They indicated for Skye to look as they found the part where the cameraperson zoomed in on Bruno and Thomas, the former screaming insults at the latter before a blur of green and black shattered down from above. <It IS you! HA!> They slapped their thigh in amusement, with Skye nodding in approval, though not sure entirely why.
Desperately wanting to change the topic, Thomas turned to Skye. “So, I hear you’re wanting out.”
<Depends, do you live in the city?> Skye asked without hesitation.
Thomas sighed. “Unfortunately not.” He could see a slight sag of disappointment across the Sandslash’s shoulders. “Right now I’m travelling city to city, region to region until I find a place to help my friend.”
What disappointment was there was instantly evaporated by the mention of multiple cities. <You don’t just stay in one city?> Skye asked, a twinkle in her eye.
“Nope. Come to think of it, in the last few weeks I’ve been through…” He counted on his fingers, a little surprised at the result “Four. Still got a few to go before I get to the institute.” He realised that might have been a bit too much information on his destination so stopped there, hoping to have elicited the right reaction in the icy pokemon regardless.
<So, are you going to take me with you?> Sky was quick to request. Thomas looked to Headmaster, who nodded in acceptance. He turned back and smiled to Sky. <Excellent, I’ll get my things.>
“Your things?” Sky was already through the doorway and down the hall by the time Thomas managed to utter his query.
<She will not stop collecting junk.> Headmaster groans, closing the browser that had Thomas’ video up. <She calls it treasure. Flyers mostly. And postcards. She keeps them all in a scrapbook.>
What Thomas was expecting was a small book, half full of the occasional scrap of paper, not the veritable tome of clippings, flyers and brochures so full that the binding was beginning to burst and so large that the only way for Skye to carry it was slung over her back with a hastily rigged belt. “Wow. That looks heavy.” Before Thomas knew he was bending down to take the book from Skye, but he retreated as soon as he felt her claw against the underside of his chin.
<It. Is. Mine.>
Thomas slowly stood back up, hands raised. “Yours. Understood.”
<Skye!> Headmaster scolded, but the Sandslash just flung her ball up into Thomas’ hands. He caught it after a momentary fumble.
“Is, uh, everything in order?” He asked, heading around to some paper printed out by the Oranguru while they were waiting for Skye to return.
<Sorry about that.> Headmaster sighed, giving Skye a death stare. <If you’re still keen to, just sign here, and here. Initial and date here.> Thomas did as requested, and after scanning it back through her computer, Thomas’ pokedex pinged with the receipt of a new message. He flicked it open to view the contents and saw the document in digital form.
“Well, Skye. Let’s head back to Hau’oli.”
<Wait, you’re not even staying on Ula’Ula?>
“Nope.” Thomas grinned, knowing that while Skye wasn’t outwardly showing how exciting this all was for her, he could tell from the sparkle in her eye and speed of her steps that she was eager to leave the island.
<Thank you Mr Drake, we shall take good care of the… Malamar for you.> Headmaster stated as Skye made for the door.
<And I am of thanking you.> He responded in Hakamo-o causing Skye to pause, looking up at the man before allowing herself a small nod of respect. She grabbed at his shorts, pulling him towards the door. “Okay, okay.” Thomas chuckled, waving goodbye to Headmaster.
Outside, Thomas stretched a little before stepping up to the bike. “You ready to get us back to the ferry?”
<My legs are far too short to-> Skye’s assumption was cut short by a flit of energetic light bursting from the side of Thomas’ head to spin through the air and into the bike, Gem giving the sandslash a thumbs up as she flew.
“That was Gem.” Thomas pointed out after the flash of light had dissipated.
“Sand, slash?” Sky queried.
“Ah, yeah, so Gem is my translator. My Mast- uh, Partner, he’s a Kommo-o now, and I learned his language before he evolved. Other than that, I’m sorry, this conversation’s gonna be very one-sided ‘till we get to the ferry.”
“Slash.” Skye said, hopping onto the bike rack over the back wheel. She carefully placed her book down upon it, strapping it down with the belt before sitting atop it and grabbing the sides to hold on as Thomas righted the bike.
“Hold on.” He warned, smiling. “This is gonna get a bit dusty.”
The twilight ferry ride back to Hau’oli was for the most part uneventful, though an elderly pair sitting up front admiring the last rays of sunlight in silence did weird him out a bit. Though not for their somewhat creepy demeanour, but their Alakazam that would not stop staring at him the whole trip. Something just felt off about the whole thing, especially how he felt he’d seen them before. But with the sheer number of tourists across these islands, he’s no doubt passed them multiple times since his arrival.
Skye on the other hand was incredibly active, dashing from one side of the boat to the other; staring at the bioluminescent pokemon swimming in the waters around the ferry, observing the tilt and sway of the ship in reaction to the waves caused by an assortment of reefs, and the birdlife coming to roost on the ferry’s railings until shooed away by other passengers. Thomas couldn’t help but smile at her naive curiosity, and the possibilities that lay before her. For a pokemon so obsessed with humans yet having never left her small home island, his journey was going to blow her mind.
Glad to finally be free of the Alakazam’s glare, Thomas strode down the gangplank just behind Skye and made way for the hotel room. It had been a long day, and although the city still had plenty of life left in it at this hour, all he wanted to do was rest. “Don’t worry, I’ll promise we’ll get to see the shops and beach and everything else tomorrow. I just really need a good feed, and a shower.” He patted down his arms to set loose more dust from their cycling trip across the island.
<So where are we going to get food then?> Skye asks, staring at the assortment of restaurants and their well-lit dining areas. <What is that place? Oooh, what is that?> Skye rapidly points to just about every restaurant in view before Thomas can interject.
“We’ll get to some of those eventually. But I can’t just wander in there looking like this.” He gestures to his dusty, sweaty self.
<Why not?>
With a sigh that he was trying not to sound frustrated, Thomas stops in the street and crouches down to be at Skye’s height. “There’s lots of stuff about humans and how we behave that’s not gonna make much sense., Arceus- I’m a human and I still don’t get some of it right. But the basics of it are this: if you’re going to dine AT a restaurant, then you want to make sure you’re clean and dry and just generally properly dressed.” He indicated the nearby patrons of one restaurant, the majority of which are wearing semi-formal attire of slacks and button up shirts, while Thomas is in some dusty shorts and a tee. “If you’re getting food delivered to your hotel room though…”
Skye took the hint from Thomas’ smile and nodded. <To the Hotel then. But can we go…. There tomorrow?> She pointed to one of the more fancy looking places.
“Heh, sure. My treat.” Thomas chuckled. ‘Zana’s gonna love this one.’ he thought as they approached the Azure Sands entrance.
<This is where you are staying?> Skye gasped in awe at the regality of it. She gasped again as a Hitmonlee doorman in a crystal waistcoat opened the main door for her. She took a moment to admire the other’s crystalline garb, wondering where she might be able to procure such an outfit for herself. Thomas cleared his throat to get her attention <Coming.> She called, quickly catching up to the man waiting at the elevator.
It wasn’t long before the two were back in his suite. “Feel free to put your book anywhere, The others won’t be back for a few days, so you’ve pretty much got the run of the place.” He smiled, holding his hand out. She placed her book down then stepped over to shake his hand with her long claws; a friendly gesture she’d seen done many times, but rarely had the chance to participate in. “Welcome to the team.”
<Thank you.> The Sandslash beamed, her glassy black eyes shimmering with happiness.
“Now, if you’ll excuse me, there’s a shower calling my name.” Thomas grunted as he stood, wondering how his legs could possibly be so tired after laying down in a tattoo artists chair, sitting on a ferry or riding a bike with a Rotom at the helm for so much of the day. Not thinking much of it, Thomas pulled his shirt off, tossing it into Zana’s claimed room more from it being where he woke up that morning than any conscious decision between hers and Jeremy’s. But he hadn’t made it to the bathroom before Skye opened up with more questions.
<What are those?>
“Huh?” Thomas turned to see where she was pointing, but the pokemon had her claws extended at him. Specifically his midsection. He looked down to see the half-finished tattoos and it all clicked. “Ah, yeah. So…” How much was he willing to reveal to the newest member of his Cadre. She was incredibly observant, though perhaps a little naive. It wouldn’t take her long to figure it out. “My friends and I, we’ve been through a lot. All that stuff mentioned at the Aether house, and more. Lots more. And… Well, I wanted to show them how much they mean to me. So I’m getting their marks tattooed.”
<What’s that one for?> She strode up, gently placing a claw on the linework of a Gyarados tail.
“Squishy saved my life, saved me from drowning.” He said, tracing the fresh ink. “And this one is Carmen’s,” he taps the print inside Squishy’s mark “She’s been with me from the start, along with Jeremy.” Thomas’ smile falters when he realises Cav doesn’t have a print.
Before he can consider whether the Zweilous should have his mark somewhere, he’s brought back to the present by another question <And that one?> The Zoroark handprint poking out of the top if his shorts had caught Skye’s eye.
“Heh, well…” Maybe he’d be explaining things sooner than he thought “That would be Zana’s. She saved my life too, and in a strange way, I think I saved hers.” Skye hooks her claw into the waistband to pull it down further, to see the full print.
In the process - and partly because of Thomas’ struggle to remain decent - part of Jeremy’s tattoo is revealed as well. <Are those->
“Kommo-o claws. Yeah.” Thomas clears his throat. “That would be Jeremy’s.”
<Those are scars too.> He could tell from Skye’s tone that she was insinuating something with that observation, but didn’t want to spill the beans quite yet. She manoeuvred around behind Thomas, placing her own claws on his thighs until she had aligned herself properly. <That would be.> She gulped. <Oh.>
The look Thomas was being given was both very judgemental and somewhat concerned. “Well, I’d hoped I could go at least a day without having to explain this, but apparently Arceus wants me to suffer.” Thomas groaned, gesturing Skye over to the couch before collapsing into it. She stands several feet away, keeping her distance while continuing to stare judgingly. After an uncomfortable silence, Thomas sighs “Okay, out with it.”
<You mate with your pokemon. Yes?>
Thomas nods, but with her not asking a follow up question he realises she needs some elaboration. “Yes. I do. Are you going to ask if it’s consensual?”
<Is it?>
“Of course!” Thomas retorts, somewhat harshly before realising it’s not Skye’s fault she’s asking those questions. In her position, she must have a hundred questions rolling through her mind. “Look, I know human-Pokemon relationships are not exactly looked well upon. There's a lot of concern - and rightly so - regarding the power dynamic between trainer and pokemon. But I swear to you, I’m not forcing anyone.” With another big sigh, Thomas recounts the tale of how he met Jeremy, how Zye had altered pokemon’s perceptions, saving his life in the process multiple times over. Every part of his adventure from Milra to Hau’oli laid bare, Gem even popping out to verify every now and then with videos and news headlines displayed on the pokedex to back up the more fantastical sounding parts of the last month.
After a long silence to let Thomas recount his tale, and even more to consider where they stood now, Sky looked the man dead in the eyes and asked <So what about me?>
It was not the response Thomas was expecting, but it was one he knew he’d have to answer. “The Malamar that almost killed me back in Vandimland? I couldn’t bring myself to train it. It… is my biggest mistake, and I wanted it gone. Aether House was recommended to me, so I went. I wasn’t planning on picking someone up.” Skye’s shoulders slump at his words, and he sighs disappointingly at his own inability to speak conscientiously.
<So… you chose me because I’m female?>
It took a moment for the words to finally settle in Thomas’ brain. And he couldn’t help but loose a quick - and just as quickly stifled - laugh. “HA! Sorry, no. No, that’s not why.” He twisted around, showing Skye all the tattoos. “Of all these, only this and this one are female.” He says, pointing to the outlines on his abs and chest. “I chose you because the wonder I saw in you, reminded me of… well, me. I couldn’t let you stay cooped up in that place, especially when the world is so very big.” It was a slight variance of the truth, as he’d not intended to take her at all until the Headmaster told him it was to take Skye or be stuck with the Malamar.
<And now I’m here, you want to…> Skye left the question open ended, though Thomas couldn’t tell if it was because she couldn’t bear to finish it, or curious to see how he would.
“Look. The relationships I have with my pokemon have been forged over many days of tough times and emotional moments. What I have with them is not something I would ever force on you.” He sits forward on the couch, leaning over to get closer to the pokemon that had taken tiny steps towards him throughout the last half hour of discussion. “I’m open about who I am. And to those close to me, I’m even more open. I will never force you to do anything. Ever. You have my promise.”
Skye took several deep breaths, clearly working her nerves up to something, or to find the right words. <You would not be forcing me.>
He raised an eyebrow. “I need to make it absolutely clear here. Just so there are no misunderstandings. Because I will get tortured to within an inch of my life by a particular Zoroark if I’m not.” While flaying him alive would be a bit extreme for Zana to do, Thomas knew he did not want to experience the sort of wrath she exhibited back at the Hidden Pools with the bounty hunter. “I did not choose you to be some extra notch on my belt. You’re your own pokemon, and whatever path in this world you want to take, I’m right here to help you. No strings attached.”
<And if I want strings?> Skye asked plainly, taking a step closer to Thomas, holding her claws palm-up near his hands.
Thomas took a deep breath, exhaling as he stared the pokemon down, but she remained stalwart. Or stubborn. It was hard to tell. With a nervous smile staring at those claws, Thomas put his hands in her palms and squeezed gently. “I’m right here. No matter the path you choose.” Thomas finally managed to say the right words, as with a quick breath, Skye leaned in to kiss his cheek. Thomas gave her palms one last quick squeeze before wrapping his arms around her body and lifting her with a grunt up onto his lap.
He’d not properly appreciated the Alolan Sandslash’s body, specifically her quills. From the few he’d seen wandering around with trainers, they’d kept their steely quills all iced up, but while Skye’s were definitely cold, they weren’t frosty. Not even cold enough for his skin to get stuck hoisting her into his lap. He ran his fingers along the metallic surface, the moisture condensating on their surface causing an almost harmonic vibration from his fingertips as he studied their form. Skye moaned at the touch, such care and gentleness was not something she experienced much of in the wild when pokemon sought a mate.
Placing a set of claws on each of Thomas’ shoulders, Skye allowed the man to explore her quills in whatever way he saw fit. Sensing the change in tone from the sandslash, Thomas smiled, pulling Skye close enough to hug her properly as he continued running his fingers up and down her quills. Her cool fur was breathtaking against his skin, especially after the long hot day they’d had. But while Thomas’ hands were speaking for themselves, Skye felt she needed to ask her new trainer some more questions. <Why pokemon?>
Thomas halted his movements, but an impatient whine and wiggle from Skye had his hands moving again. “Sorry, whadda’ya mean?”
Happy to have those vibrations running through her quills again, Skye moaned <Do you not want to mate with humans?> Her tone seemed genuine, even though the question was quite loaded. Thomas had run through his head variations of his answer to this question - if ever asked - dozens, perhaps hundreds of times. He quickly stroked his fingers up a quill each, allowing the tips of each metallic spike to resonate just a little longer and stronger than before. Skye’s face squinted from the sensation as she sighed in pleasure. Then, wrapping each arm around her as far as possible, Thomas drew the sandslash into a tight embrace, holding Skye there for a while before releasing her enough to speak to her nose to nose.
“I don’t choose one over the other. I have fun whenever someone is up for it. It just turns out Humans have so many more reservations than Pokemon.” He gives her a pecked kiss on the nose. “I’ve slept with a few humans, but as circumstance has it, there have been far more pokemon interested in adding a Human to their list of conquests.” He pulls her body against his again, chuckling a little “And I am quite happy with that.”
<Do pokemon feel different, down there?> Skye asked as she sank a little further into Thomas’ lap, feeling the hardon through his shorts press between her legs.
He shifted his weight a little on the couch, at first to stop his bulge from pressing too hard into Skye out of a strange sense of awkwardness, before realising that despite his still clothed lower half, they were there on that couch together for exactly that reason. The man groaned his answer, or at least what would have to pass for one. “Very.” He returned his fingers to Skye’s quills, much to her satisfaction. “Human women feel slick, warm, and just the right size. But pokemon have so many differences. Some are hot, some cold. Some really rough, some smooth. Some tight, and some…” He thought to the last couple of times he and Carmen had had fun “well, some are built for much larger pokemon.”
Skye nodded, a barely perceptible moan escaping her muzzle as she ground atop Thomas’ imprisoned shaft. He could feel his shorts getting rather damp with her juices, and after deciding it was time, pulled his hands from her back to pop the button on his shorts. He held the zipper for a moment, looking to Skye for permission one last time. With an anticipative nod, she gave the go ahead and he released his member. From where she was crouching, the tip of his member sprang up, slapping against her wet slit, causing the two of them to shudder. <It’s so… warm.>
Thomas was having a different reaction, with the Alolan Sanslash’s juices causing an almost menthol-like effect of supercooling on his member. He gasped at the sensation, bucking his hips upwards with enough force to push the head of his human cock inside Skye’s needy lips. “Skye… Last- last chance.” He stammered, trying with all his might not to just slam his member fully into the wondrously tight pokemon pussy.
<Thomas. You are not the first to mate me.> Skye’s calm words caused the man to pause. <But you are my first Human mate.> With that she relaxed her legs, allowing the tight coolness of her passage to settle around Thomas’ erect member. She whined as her pelvis met his, eyes scrunched shut as her insides adjusted to his size.
Thomas took that as a definitive answer, and prepared himself for the task ahead. The sensation of Skye practically impaling herself on his cock was twofold. First, the strange cooling sensation from her natural lube gave off a tingly effect when he was fully inside, causing him to twitch nigh uncontrollably despite his best efforts. But the feel of her passage was just as erotic for the man. He really had felt nothing like it; the tight entrance opened to a twisted tunnel that with the added tightness caused the head of his cock to rotate ever so slightly to one side before reaching a very sharp - and very rough - bend just as he bottomed out. Where his tip was resting at that moment felt smooth and hard. The man gasped when he realised he was directly in contact with one of her eggs.
<Are you able?> Thomas was unsure exactly what Skye was asking, or perhaps if Gem was having trouble translating. The look of confusion on his face was enough for the icey pokemon to explain further. <Most male Pokemon move a lot when inside. Is something wrong?>
Thomas could see a splinter of self-conscious criticism behind Skye’s sparkling eyes, and realised what she meant. “No. Nothing’s wrong. Your.. you just…” There was no way to put it delicately. “You feel amazing, like nothing else. I just wanted to… savour it.” He felt like an idiot, but that was par for the course for most of his sexual interactions these days. Shaking his head from the awestruck daze of experiencing Skye’s gloriously tight pussy, Thomas got things back on track. He once again got a hold of the Sandslash’s quills, grasping them as tight as he could manage before grinding her onto his member.
The two moaned in unison as Thomas’ cock slid against the deeply resting egg, crashing into the side of the pokemon’s uterus with a squishy thud. Holding her tight for just a moment, Thomas was spurned into movement once more by Skye’s insistent wriggling. With a wicked grin, the man pushed her away from him and to the side, before bringing her back around in an arc, with the desired effect of having his member slide against her inner walls all the way around the egg’s circumference. It was a new sensation, having one side feel like it was polishing his tool, while the other side was practically scrubbing it with it’s roughness.
But the position and motion were having the desired effect, with Skye’s breaths shortening and her claws tensing. <Is this… normal?> She managed between pants.
“Fuck, Skye…” Thomas moaned, withdrawing his member halfway by pushing her hips forward. “Uhnnnone- none of this is ‘normal’.”
A squealed whimper cut through the hotel room as Thomas once again wedged his cock head between Skye’s egg and the uterine wall. <Normal For Humans? So… playful?>
“Ha!” The laugh was out of his mouth before Thomas could stifle it. “I’ve met playful pokemon.” Though trying to remember any that actually took pride in their playfulness outside of Miriam’s or his own crew, Thomas was coming up short. “Do you like playful?” He asked, holding her tightly to him with one hand as he strummed along her steely quills with the other. The hollow metal quills resonated almost like tubular bells, causing Skye no end of shuddering delight. With his member so tightly wedged inside her he took the stabilising hand away to continue the melodic assault on her back.
<Yes.> The sandslash whined, body shaking from the sensations thrust upon her. Thomas could feel her quickened heartbeat through the fluffy fur squished against his chest, her muzzle buried in his neck as his hands worked their magic.
“How does sex with a human compare.?” Thomas whispered in her ear.
The twitched response was all he needed, but as one of his hands pulled away to right her body on his - several minutes of stroking quills had left her a little lopsided on his lap - Skye’s claws sprang up from their limp posture to wrap around his back, one landing against his shoulder and the other close to his hip. <Hands. Back. Song.>
The sharp points against Thomas’ skin sent a clear message, and as Skye saw to her own stability, his hands went back to her quills. At first his movements were rapid and uncoordinated, as despite how much control he thought he had, Thomas knew there was cold sharp steel very close to some vital parts of him. But after he calmed back down, he used the pokemon’s breathing as a rhythm, and began to build a harmonious set of tones from the sensual display. At first he thought Skye’s choice of words were rushed, but with every subsequent stroke of condensation-coated quill, he could hear more of the song take shape.
From then on, Skye was putty in Thomas’ hands. Very sharp putty, but putty nonetheless. Every stroke had her edge towards a climax, a true crescendo to their coupling. He even began using percussive methods, slapping the base of some of her larger quills before drawing his fingers up them, resulting in warbled tones and wondrous clenchings of her inner muscles. It was only when Skye took a deep breath and held it - her body clamping down on the man as she finally succumbed to his melodic assault - that Thomas realised he’d thrust into her only once since she impaled herself on him.
Feeling the pokemon’s tense body shudder, Thomas changed his pace, drawing longer notes with his fingers, relying on the tips of the quills rather than their bases to sing those notes that guided Skye through her own sensual sonata. Though once his lover had recovered her breath, he allowed the last note to ring out from the largest quill at the centre of her back; base to tip. <That was… interesting.>
Thomas choked on his laughter, coughing as his ill-timed breath and chuckle collided in his throat. “In-khak- Interesting?”
Skye waddled back in Thomas’ lap, allowing his member to pop free, still mostly hard despite it’s lack of direct stimulation for the last while. With a foot planted on either knee, the pokemon doubled over to sniff the man’s member, giving it a long lick with a tiny tongue. Thomas shuddered. <Do you play your mate like an instrument every time?> Thomas thought back to the Toxtricity the day before and smiled sheepishly. <Rather, is this how humans mate?>
Thomas, feeling like he’d somehow not lived up to expectations went on the defensive, clearing his throat. “Ah, well, no. I just-”
<You are still able.> Skye licked along Thomas’ length again, though far more deliberately. <Mate me like a human.>
It took Thomas a moment for his brain to kick into gear, but if Skye wanted to have the human treatment, then he’d give it to her. He wrapped his arms around the so called ‘mouse pokemon’ and leaned forward, hefting Skye into the air as he carried her hundred-twenty pound form into the bedroom. It was no mean feat, with the man’s core straining the whole way as he tried not to show how much he was struggling. As soon as he reached the bed he somewhat unceremoniously dumped Skye onto it, his hands quickly landing on hers to pin her down. “You wish to be mated like a human?” Skye nodded, a look of uncertainty mixed with curiosity in her stare as though suddenly wondering what she's gotten herself into.
Thomas didn’t wait for another second. He lined his tip up with the still slightly gaping slit and pressed forwards. The menthol-cool breeze of being outside Skye melted away into a tingly warmth as his member penetrated her fully. As his hips smashed against hers, Thomas could feel the tip of his cock once more wedge itself against her frontmost egg before sliding past it. The pressure of it pinning his cock to her inner walls was a wondrous new sensation, one that had him praising the Oranguru’s bargaining skills. Skye took several short breaths, before looking to Thomas as though waiting to ask something.
But the man didn’t give her a chance. In a fluid motion he withdrew himself to the tip before thrusting back in. This time he didn’t hesitate, didn’t even slow. As soon as his hips crashed against hers with a sloppy slap, he was retreating only to thrust back in with reckless abandon. As Thomas drove into his newest companion, his hands gripped her palms tightly, pinning her in place for better leverage. With a particularly rough thrust, Thomas buried himself as deep as possible, leaning over Skye’s furry chest to whisper alongside her face “How does it feel?” Keeping his head in place, Thomas rotated his hips, grinding his cock around inside her. “Being mated by a human?”
<Like…> Skye panted, her body quivering with every movement <Like nothing else.> Claws flexed near Thomas’ fingers, the man acutely aware of how quickly things could go bad were she to lose control. Sensing Thomas’ concern, Skye considered something else was to blame for the tensing of his body. <You need not worry. You are human. We are incompatible.>
Thomas swallowed, trying to figure out what she meant, given the fun they were having. “Sorry?”
<You cannot breed me.> Skye reassured him, sighing as she bucked upwards against his member, riding the edge of another climax.
‘You absorbed my DNA.’ Zye’s voice echoed through Thomas’ mind. ‘Both, Neither.’ Hoopa responded. ‘They would be neither Zygarde, nor whatever counterpart I chose to bear them.’ The Zygarde clarified. Thomas’ eyes went wide. He tried to pull out but Skye was having none of it, her stubby legs surprisingly powerful as they grasped his waist. “There’s actually something-”
<You cannot breed me. Finish inside. I am close.> The words speared through Thomas’ core, lighting his nerves with a fire he didn’t know he had within. The duality, the decision that lay before him was monumental. It wasn’t the secret he was withholding, or the eagerness of the Sandslash he’d only met just a few hours earlier. It was the risk. It was the risk of what could come from their coupling. He’d been smashing against that egg for some time now, if he truly was fertile, what would result.
<And if I could?> Thomas growled in Hakamo-o, his cock throbbing with need, paused halfway withdrawn. Thomas looked to Skye seriously, the slow realisation of his words having weight to them causing her eyes to widen as her breaths grew ragged. At first he thought she looked panicked, until her inner muscle began squeezing him tightly.
<Then I would be the first pokemon to bear a human child.> Sky thought aloud, her calm tone unable to hide the desperation as her legs desperately tried to pull Thomas back inside her. The comment about her having mated before flitted through the man’s mind. Had he wound up with yet another deviant in his crew? Was this a form of humanophilia taking shape within the Sandslash? He’d barely time to register the notion before Skye was grunting up at him, wiggling her hips to provoke a return to his high paced pistoning from before.
Thomas gulped, unsure he should be doing this, but too caught up in the moment to stop himself. He breathed out slowly, growling into Skye’s ear. “Is it worth the risk?.” Skye’s body shivered as he said ‘risk’, which something deep inside him filed away for later. He had no idea what the courtship rituals of pokemon were, a fact that might have surprised him if he were thinking with any part of himself higher than his waist.
<Yes.> The word needn’t have been translated, Thomas knew from its intensity what Skye wanted. Whatever resulted from this, he hoped Arceus would forgive him. With a grunt and a thrust, the man was once again balls deep in his Sandslash lover. She cried in joy as he railed her relentlessly.
“Skye…” “Fuck...” “Yeah.” “Take it.” and assorted variations of those five words growled through the hotel room as Thomas pounded Skye into the bed with rhythmic precision. It was then he realised how much he’d missed playing with Carmen. Her choice to become his little cum-Sligoo was so far in the past, and although her submissiveness to him was still there, he knew it was Squishy’s turn with the Goodra; a pokemon far more her size than he. And here before him - beneath him - was an Alolan Sandslash desperate for his cum. His imagination ran wild with all the lewd things they could do together; from tame thoughts of simply filling her with his cum whenever she asked, to freezing his cum to her spikes and having her walk around in public.
Those thoughts were enough to push Thomas to the edge. He released one of skye’s paws to stroke down her muzzle, hooking his thumb into her mouth just a little as he slowed his pace. “Definitely worth the risk.” His suspicions were confirmed as whatever Skye’s kink was kicked into gear, pushing her into a rush of contracting muscles and shuddering limbs. She tried sucking on his thumb to keep quiet but as he returned to his rapid thrusts her sucks became moans.
Skye’s spasming pussy and guttural groans were too much for the man, with only a few more slaps of his Sandslash-lube soaked hips against hers before he grunted his climax into her ear. Thomas’ cock rammed deep enough into her passage that once again it became wedged, the tip well and truly past her first egg. Skye’s free paw quickly swung around behind Thomas, the claw catching him on the shoulder as she pulled him closer to her. Their chests heaved against each other as panted breaths were held, and hips bucked. <Finish. Inside.> It was not a request. It was a demand.
The first shot of Thomas’ seed he could feel burning its way through his throbbing member, held back by the pressure of his shaft being pinched shut between Skye’s pussy walls and her baseball-sized egg. As he grunted his second volley, and his third, Skye became dismayed at the lack of gooey reward to accompany the wondrous crescendo of human copulation. She ground her hips against Thomas’ in frustration, realigning her insides just enough that the firehose of cum was finally unkinked, bursting within her to douse the innermost parts of the sandslash in his hot seed.
It almost felt like Thomas’ soul was leaving his body, as the intense pressure in his loins was finally released with such ferocity that all his lower half could do was shudder, frozen in place. “-ZZkyyyyye….” He growled, grimacing through claws scraping along the flesh across his back. But the pokemon was blissed out, unable to register the man’s pleas for her to regain control. And so the two remained locked, each blast of cum rocketing into Skye’s depths mirrored by a fresh trickle of blood down Thomas’ back.
When the pokemon’s demand finally exceeded the man’s supply, Skye came to. She could feel the sticky liquid warmth against her paw and realised in horror what she’d done. <Thomas!> She tried to push him off her but the wince as she withdrew her claws caused him buck into her, the two of them gasping at the sudden movement.
“It’s… okay.” Thomas breathed through gritted teeth as he waited for Skye to carefully remove her claws properly. Once clear, the man leaned back, his cock still firmly wedged inside the pokemon’s sated loins. A gentle tug was enough to pop him free, though his substantial load remained trapped behind Skye’s frontmost egg. A brief consideration of the future regarding his fecundity was pushed out of his mind by the growing realisation that he was probably significantly more injured than he felt. He looked around the hotel room and spotted his trainer bag. He took a deep breath and gulped. “Skye, can you do something for me?”
<Yes?> She replied, unsure what her new trainer had in mind given what they’d just done.
“Front pocket, purple potion.” He pointed to the bag, and Skye quickly dismounted the bed, waddling a little at first given the pounding she’d just taken, but recovered by the time she returned holding a small purple spray bottle.
<I am not injured.> Skye looked to him a little suspiciously.
Thomas took a deep breath. “For me.”
<But you->
“I know, believe me I know.” He sighed. “Just... Humour me.” He slid to his knees beside the bed so the smaller sandslash could reach him properly. With a sceptical shrug, Skye uncapped the nozzle and doused his back in the healing mist. At first all it did was mix with the blood to run down his back and across his arse. But after several seconds, the tingling began, his claw wound knitting itself closed.
<H- How!> Skye stammered, stepping back in shock.
“First, room service.” Thomas grimaced as his stomach noisily reminded the pair of the time.
An Electivire placed a shining gold coin into the palm of a Wartortle as a Magmortar stood guard a few steps away.In the darkness of the alley, the three figures were for the most part shielded from sight. The Wartortle swapped the broom from one hand to the other as it found a nook within its shell to store the bribe. A ship's horn sounded somewhere further down the dock, causing the Magmortar to jump, checking over his shoulder. The Electivire just sighed. <So what happened.>
<Guy called Pine. ‘Eard he called in a smugglin’ op to the Rangers. They showed up an’ all ‘ell broke loose.>
<This ‘Pine,’> The Electivire growled <What’d he look like?>
The Wartortle shrugged. <Dunno, wasn’t there.> He thought for a moment, resting his chin on the broom handle. <But his entourage were pretty memorable ‘parently. Big pink and yellow dragon type, well over eight feet.>
<Fuck!> The Magmortar chimed in. <Jeremy evolved!>
The wartortle chuckled. <Heh, ’s not all. Some freaky new ‘mon was with ‘em too. Some big Electric Chesnaught thing.> Turning pale, the other two stared at each other. <’Parently jumped ship right after tha war.>
<War?> The Electivire groaned. Surely it couldn’t get worse.
<A fuckin’ war!> The water type said excitedly, before realising they were supposed to be quiet. He leaned forward, whispering <Fuckin’ Pirates an’ Cogsmen cunts. They ‘eard ‘e was there. Fuckin’ all out battle! Thousands of pokemon, hundreds ah dead.> The Magmortar stared in shock, but the Electivire just glared at the dockworker with suspicion. <Nah, fuckin’ swear. I had ta carry all tha’ bodies off when they docked. Fuckin’ gruesome.>
<You said they jumped ship?> The Electivire asked, his patience wearing thin.
<Yeah.>
Bruno’s ex-bodyguards waited for elaboration, but none seemed forthcoming. <And?> They asked in unison.
<Well, Stinga ‘eard from Orbit who ‘eard one-a tha Ranger’s say ‘e was ‘sposed to be comin’ back ta Kanto. But I ain’t ‘eard a no giant yellow-pink dragon showin’ up. But Vigo ‘eard from ‘Bolt eard from->
<The point?> The Electivire growled, electricity arcing up through it’s fur. Acting insulted, the Wartortle narrowed it’s eyes, holding his hand out again with a wicked grin. The Electric type grumbled, fishing for another coin to hand the greedy pokemon.
<Well, some-o tha Rangers were jokin’ that he swam to Alola. I know, sounds stupid, but where they were s’posally floatin’... ‘t woulda been closer.>
<Alola?> The Magmortar asked, gulping.
<Alola.> The Wartortle grinned, pocketing the coin.
<Fuckin’ Alola.> The Electivire growled, looking back out to the dock.
