Chapter 3: The change.

I could feel hear BlackFlamedramon walk closer and closer. He was so close to find me. I held my breath as he walked past the closet that I was hiding in. When I no longer could hear him I began to breathe again. But then it happened. As I thought that BlackFlamedramon had left my parents room he turned around and opened the closet I was in. I turned off the game and sighed. I was happy being with BlackFlamedramon, but I felt that my powers would ruin it for us. I looked down at my hands and made electricity run from one hand to the other. I laid back and closed my eyes, wanting to take a nap.

(In the Digital World)

BlackFlamedramon was walking into the Castle to meet with the other Digidestined. Joe had sent a message to all of them to meet him there. He walked down the hallway and into the library. Everyone was there except for Lass. Joe specifically told BlackFlamedramon not to bring Lass with him. Joe greeted them all welcome as he sat down in a chair while looking at some papers. Tai asked Joe what he wanted to talk to them about. Joe looked at the papers and then at BlackFlamedramon.

"Lass is not really a human" stated Joe. Everyone went wide eyes and asked him what he meant. Joe then explained that he had examined Lass' blood and could see that only half of it was human and the other half was Digimon. BlackFlamedramon stared out in the air in shock. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. His affectionate and loyal partner was half Digimon. Joe showed them the paper and explained what each thing on the paper meant. Gennai looked at them and told them to keep an eye on Lass. BlackFlamedramon exclaimed that Lass wouldn't hurt anyone. Gennai thought to himself for a minute and tried to mix the pieces together of Lass being important to Myotismon. He just couldn't figure out what Myotismon wanted now that he had been resurrected.

(Meanwhile)

I felt my heart rate slow down as I fell asleep. Suddenly I heard something break in my room. I sat in the bed and looked around. I couldn't see anyone in my room. I got up and walked over to a picture I had of myself from when I was a little kid. It had fallen onto the floor but there was nothing in my room that made it fall down. I got worried and looked around myself slowly, and there he was. Myotismon. I gasped as I faced him. I walked backwards until I hit my door. I was literally shaking. I begged him not to hurt me. Myotismon just smirked and told me that he wasn't here to hurt me. He told me that he wanted me to know the truth. He sat down on my bed and patted the spot beside him. I sat down next to him and looked at him. I asked him what he wanted to tell me about. Myotismon looked at me and told me that I wasn't a human. I stared at him and told him that of course I was. He then explained to me that while my mother was pregnant he kidnapped her and injected something in her fetus. I looked onto my hands.

"S-So that's why I have these powers...Because I aren't a human" I questioned him. He told me that it was only half the truth. I was half Human and Digimon. I felt the tears run down my face as I asked him why he did that to me. He gave a weak smile and told me that he did it to protect me. I glared at him and told him that I didn't need protection. Myotismon then told me that it wasn't true. He warned me that the Digidestined didn't want to help me. They wanted to use my powers. I shouted at him to go away as I began to cry. I put my hands to my face as I cried. He then took my hand and suddenly we were no longer in my room. I looked around and saw that we were in the Castle in the Digital World. I saw BlackFlamedramon walk into the library. I walked after him while I tried my best not to be seen. I hid behind a wall as I listened to their conversation. My fear was proved right. Joe told them that I wasn't a real human. I stood silently and listened more. Gennai told them to keep an eye on me and I began to cry again. Myotismon was right. They didn't want to help me. I ran over to Myotismon and he took my hand and away we went.

I hugged Myotismon as I cried. I felt so alone. BlackFlamedramon yelled something as we teleported back to my room but I didn't catch it. Myotismon helped me onto the bed as I cried. While crying I felt him take my crest off of me. I asked him what he was doing and he told me that the crest was a tracking device made by Gennai to follow me everywhere I went. I looked at the crest and sighed. Myotismon took another crest out of his pocket. It looked exactly like my crest. He put it on me and told me that this was the real crest that belonged to me. I didn't know if I could trust him, but e had shown me the truth about the Digidestined so I just kept the crest on. I said thank you to him and he told me to be careful around the Digidestined and told me that we would meet again soon. He smiled as he said goodbye.

(In the Digital World)

Myotismon walked down the hall of his new base. It was a new Castle. Myotismon had put a spell over it so no one would be able to find it. Myotismon smirked as he thought about his new master plan. Lass' powers were the most important piece in his plan. Myotismon took the crest out of his pocket and tried to destroy it, but to no avail. He had tricked Lass into taking a false one on. One that he could use to brainwash him with. Myotismon walked into his room and got into his coffin. He was getting ready for the time where he would face the Digidestined again.

I sat on my bed looking at the crest I just had received by Myotismon, as BlackFlamedramon returned. I smiled and waved hey to him. BlackFlamedramon sat down beside me and pulled me into a hug. I guess he was having a hard time believing that I wasn't a human. I looked down and wondered to myself, whether I should tell him about Myotismon. I looked him in the eyes and was about to tell him but he put a finger to my lips and began to kiss me. I closed my eyes and kissed him back. We began to snuggle together for some time. "Joe had finished examining your blood and discovered that you aren't a full blooded Human." Replied BlackFlamedramon. I gave a weak smile and asked him if it mattered to him. BlackFlamedramon seemed amazed that it didn't freak me out. He smiled at me and told me that it actually made him feel closer to me than before. He held my hand as he kissed my neck.

I knew I had to tell him about Myotismon, but I was afraid that he would get angry. I sighed and just wanted to get it over with as I pulled BlackFlamedramon closer. I whispered in his ear that Myotismon were here and told me that I wasn't a Human. BlackFlamedramon's grip tightened on me. He hugged me closely and told me that I should not trust anything he'd say to me. I began to shiver. If what BlackFlamedramon said was true. Then what about my crest. I took my crest off and looked at it. BlackFlamedramon stared at it with a curious smile.

"It's not the crest you gave to me..." I said as I looked down. I was ashamed to look at him. I felt like if I had betrayed him. He took the crest from me gently and examined it. He told me that it looked exactly like the other. He asked me if it was Myotismon who took my crest and gave me this one. I nodded and told him that I was so sorry. I felt a few tears run down my face as I stared into BlackFlamedramon's eyes. BlackFlamedramon hugged me tightly to him and told me that I shouldn't feel sorry. I cried into his shoulder and told him everything that Myotismon had told me. I told him that I were outside the library when Joe told them the news and that I was so angry and felt so betrayed. BlackFlamedramon rubbed my back gently and told me that we would get back my crest.

"I'll make sure nothing happens to you" Reassured BlackFlamedramon with a smile. I stopped crying and gave him a weak smile. He hugged me closely as he helped me calm down. I asked him if we had to tell the others, but he told me that it wasn't necessary. I finally calmed down after listening to his heart beat for a couple of minutes. I cuddled with BlackFlamedramon and told him that I liked the sound of his heart beating. He giggled and told me that it only beat for me. I blushed so much and told him how much I loved him. BlackFlamedramon wakes up and stretches as he lets out a big yawn. He looks beside him and realizes that Lass isn't there. He lifts off the blanket but doesn't find him. He begins to get nervous and looks around everywhere in the hour but doesn't find him. BlackFlamedramon looks at the D-Terminal and realizes that there is an incoming message. The message is from Myotismon who has written; Lass is with me now and his powers will help me to fulfill my destiny.

As BlackFlamedramon had read the message his eyes changed completely. If eyes could kill then his definitely would have done. He took the D-Terminal and sent a message to Kari and Tai, telling them what had happened. After a few minutes they responded and told him to meet him at Gennai's place. BlackFlamedramon took out his Digivice and teleported to Gennai's library.

(Myotismon's Castle)

I awakened in this dark room. I didn't understand how or why I have gotten here. I stood up from the bed and went towards a door as I heard somebody turning the knob. I hurried to hide behind the door as I saw a black creature enter the room. I looked closely and saw that it was a BlackWeregarurumon that had entered the room. I looked beside me and saw a chair that seemed to be heavy. I lifted it up silently and waited for BlackWeregarurumon to enter the room. BlackWeregarurumon walked over to the bed, probably thinking I was still asleep. I went up behind him and smashed the chair right against his head, knocking him out cold. I looked in his pants and found some keys, which I assumed would come in handy. I took the keys and ran for the door. I closed the door behind me and locked it. Now I just had to find a way out of this place. I looked around and saw 3 large halls. I chose one of them and ran as fast as I could. I just wanted to get back to BlackFlamedramon. After some time of running I finally reached a door. I twisted the door knob and opened the door slowly. I looked inside the room, but couldn't see anything. It was completely dark inside. I heard some growling not far from me as I went into the room and locked the door. I sighed as I stood against the door. I was really scared now. I then remembered my powers and tried to teleport. I closed my eyes and concentrated but it didn't work. I kept trying until I suddenly felt dizzy. I fell against the wall as I saw Myotismon pointing his hand towards me. One of his fingered wore a black ring. I looked at the ring and began to scream. It felt like if someone or something was trying to kill me from the inside. I fell onto the floor trembling as I tried to get away from Myotismon and his ring. Myotismon bowed down in front of me and pushed his ring against my forehead. The last thing I saw was Myotismon's evil smirk as I blacked out.

(Gennai's Place)

BlackFlamedramon was walking around in circles. He just couldn't sit down on his ass while waiting for the Digidestineds. He saw the door open and as Gennai greeted Tai and Kari welcome. They all sat down and listened to what BlackFlamedramon had to say. He explained everything to them. Gennai's expression changed like if he had seen a ghost. Gennai took a book out of his pocket and turned onto a page about the crest. Tai questioned Gennai if Myotismon knew how to control Lass and his powers. Gennai sighed and gave Tai the book. Kari and BlackFlamedramon went over to Tai and read in the book with him. Kari could tell that there was a way to manipulate people by using a special technique. BlackFlamedramon looked at Gennai and told him there was missing a page. Gennai nodded silently and told them that without the missing page, they wouldn't be able to find out about what technique Myotismon would use on Lass.

The Digidestineds decided to split up and go search for the missing page. Gennai told them that it got to be inside of this castle. The team split up in 4 groups. The first group was Tai, Matt, BlackFlamedramon and Davis. The second group was Ken, Yolei, Mimi, and Sora. The third group was TK, Izzy, Joe and Cody. Their Digimon were also in the groups with them, just in case something happened. Group 1 went down to the basement. Group 2 went to search in all of the rooms. And Group 3 searched the rest of the castle, looking for secret doors. About 1 hour of searching the castle they gave up and regrouped in the library. Suddenly they heard Lass' voice. He was screaming. BlackFlamedramon almost ran through the door to the library as he ran outside to see what was going on. The Digidestineds and their Digimon ran up to BlackFlamedramon and asked him if it was Lass. BlackFlamedramon sighed and said no. There wasn't anybody there. Suddenly they heard a smashing sound come from the castle. Gennai was alone in the library.

Kari nodded and agreed with him. Tai walked over to them and told them that it must have been Myotismon who did this. All three nodded, even though they were curious about how he got into the castle without any of them noticing.

BlackFlamedramon sat down on a chair while staring at the floor. He felt so guilty for not being able to protect Lass. Veemon saw what was wrong with BlackFlamedramon and went over and sat by his side. Veemon tried to reassure him that it wasn't his fault. Veemon noticed BlackFlamedramon getting a tear in his eye. Veemon looked at Davis and then moved closer to BlackFlamedramon.

"I know how you feel. I can't even imagine not being with Davis" Said Veemon with a weak smile and a noticeable blush on his face. BlackFlamedramon blinked at what he just heard. Veemon were together with Davis?! BlackFlamedramon looked at Veemon with a weak smile as he asked Veemon how they got together. Veemon blushed deeply as he told BlackFlamedramon every detail.

(A few months ago back in Davis' Room)
