Sky shot up quickly, roused from his slumber. He had fallen asleep admiring and watching the dragon, so he had completely forgot all about changing the dragon's bandages and re-applying the cream.
"Oh shit!" He exclaimed and rushed over to his bed were the dragon rested peacefully. To his surprise the dragon wounds had almost completely healed up since he fell asleep and it was in much better shape.
Sky couldn't believe it, a few hours ago the dragon had been in so much pain, but now; it was sleeping soundly with only a few cuts and bruises on him. It was completely illogical that anyone could heal so fast, but he assumed it was because he was a different species. Little did he know there was more to it than that.
He did replace the bandages anyway just to be safe and afterward just gazed at it for a while, the dragon was mesmerising; sleeping so soundly and calm. For someone that could kill him in an instant, Sky thought the dragon looked cute just laying there, sleeping. He wondered what he was dreaming about, and if dragon's actually have dreams. He assumed they did but he knew nothing about them. So he really wanted the dragon to wake up so he could find out more about it.
He was snapped out of his thoughts by his rumbling stomach; it sounded rather angry so glanced over to his clock and was surprised, it was nearly 4 o'clock! He hadn't eaten anything all day so he decided to go and make something. He pondered if the dragon was hungry and if he should make him something,
"He could wake up soon, might as well."
So he left his bedroom reluctantly, he didn't want to go. He would've rather stayed by the dragon but his stomach wouldn't allow it. He walked down a flight of stairs and into his kitchen. It was a complete mess! There were dirty plates and pans stacked everywhere and lots of plastic and cardboard packaging was scattered all over the floor. He assumed his uncle had came in and made something to eat while he was drunk. Sky let out a sigh, he really wished his uncle would clean up his act, but he knew that wasn't going to happen.
So he got to work cleaning. He loaded the dishwasher with the dirty plates, cutlery ect. And got to work hand washing the pots and pans that couldn't go into it. After he had cleaned everything and returned them to there proper homes, he got a bin liner out of a nearby drawer and picked up all the packaging that was lying on the floor. When he had finally finished he was twice as hungry. It had taken him at least an hour to clean up and everything looked clean and organised, but he knew it wouldn't last long with his uncle about.
He opened a cupboard and pulled out a loaf of bread, he then got some other various bits he needed and began making lots of sandwiches. It wasn't the most amazing thing to make but he was hungry now and they were quick to make. He made a few different types of sandwiches, ham, cheese and chicken and cut them into neat triangles. Once he had finished making them he wiped down the counter and returned the bread to the cupboard. He carefully made his way up stairs; he didn't want to drop the food.
When he returned to his room he was startled to see the dragon stirring so he quickly put down the sandwiches and rushed over to see if it was ok.
Silver opened his eyes to an unfamiliar place, unlike any room he had ever seen in his hometown. He moved a little and found his body didn't hurt much at all, which was strange considering he has recently been burned heavily. He was too preoccupied with were he was and how he got here to notice though. He realised he was in someone's bed in their bedroom. But who's?
He turned to see a human boy staring at him. Silver was shocked; he has never actually seen a human before! Not only that this human also looked familiar. Then it hit him, it's the boy from his dream! But how? What's going on!? He was so confused, where was he, and why is their a boy from his dream standing beside him!? He could only manage to get out one word amidst the confusion in his mind,
"Sky." This seemed to startle the human, and he approached the dragon and spoke.
"How do you know my name?" His voice was soft yet sounded masculine, it was that of someone who cared a lot and put others before himself, at least that's the impression it gave. Silver was more startled that he had known the boys name, even though he had never met him before!
He was very confused and maybe this boy could give him some answers about what's going on around here. So he looked at the boy and straight into his sky blue eyes, they were captivating. He was now absolutely sure that this was the same boy from his dreams. He had the very same eyes. So he snapped out of his daze and spoke to the boy,
"My name is Silver, and I know your name from a dream I had recently, though I'm not sure how. Where am I exactly?"
Sky just stood there admiring the dragon. He had a low, proud voice that gave the impression he was around Sky's age. Sky realised he had asked him a question and he was just staring at him. He hastily answered before any more time passed, he didn't want to seem rude.
"Well... It's a long story but basically you're in the human world, well more specifically, you're in my room."
He watched Silver's expression turn to an even more shocked one,
"He is probably really confused and scared, who wouldn't be; waking up in a strangers room. Especially in a different world." So he turned to him and asked if he was ok.
He looked surprised when Sky had asked this, as if he didn't understand why he had asked him this. The silence was interrupted by a loud rumbling sound, it was Silver stomach! Sky laughed as Silver blushed and he reached over and grabbed the plate of sandwiches. He offered one to the dragon and watched as he sniffed the food with a confused look on his face. Obliviously they don't have sandwiches in the dragon's world. He laughed and told him it was called a sandwich and it was ok to eat. So the dragon reluctantly bit the sandwich. His face brightened up and he greedily bit into the rest of it.
Sky handed him another and they ate the sandwiches together, both thinking about the other and what would happen now...
