Lets see.......when we last left our hero he was laying on his sister a blissful smile on his face.

The sisters went back into their room next to the phone since they obviously can't drive with the snowstorm outside.

Tyler was running through the storm chasing after the faint shadow of Sam he could see through the storm, worrying about Sam's reaction.

*Tyler was walking through the snow toward his new friend's house his 9 year old frame shivering with the cold, still crying after finding out his parents were dead. He knock on the door and his new lioness Lacey answered.

"Tyler? What are you doing here?" She asked surprised he even knew where she lived as they had just met that day at middle school, she had felt sorry for him being the only one his age there so she had talked to him while they waited for their respective parents to show up. Tyler looked up at his older friend, the tears frozen to his cheeks.

"May I come in Lacey?" He asked through sniffles. She nodded still not over the shock of seeing him and in such a state. He shuffled inside sniffling and hiccuping occasionally, he had barely made it to the living room before her father came barreling into the room.

"LACEY!!! WHAT IS THIS FREAK DOING IN MY HOUSE!!!" he boomed. Tyler shrank into a corner trying to get as far away as he could from the large angry lion.

"Um...father...this is my friend Tyler." Lacey said in a small voice.

"I DIDN'T ASK WHAT IT'S NAME IS, I ASKED WHAT IT'S DOING IN MY HOUSE!!" he yelled.

"I...do..n't..kn..ow...father." Lacey said shrinking back from her father's rage.

"COME HERE YOU!!" the lion yelled grabbing Tyler by his scruff and forcibly throwing him out of the house. "NOW STAY OUT YOU MUTANT FREAK!!" he yelled and slammed the door so hard the windows cracked.

Tyler just sat there and sobbed until his sisters found him. He explained to them between sobs what happened. Maven picked him up and carried him home, as they left he looked over her shoulder and saw Alice walk into the house followed by loud banging and male cries of pain.*

Tyler finally caught up to Sam and grabbed him, tears soaking into the panther's fur.

"Tyler? Why are you crying?" Sam asked still not over the shock of seeing his friend in bed with his sisters.

"I don't want to be shunned by you too Sam. I love you." Tyler mumbled into Sam's fur.

"Shhh...it's ok Tyler I won't shun you I just need time to process what I saw." Sam said hugging the shivering ball of fur.

"Oh my god. Tyler why aren't you wearing a shirt? It's freezing out here." Sam said feeling the sweat on Tyler already starting to freeze.

"I freaked out when you ran away and ripped my shirt trying to put it on." Tyler said as he started shivering.

"Well... we're a good mile and a half away from you're house now... it would be faster just to head to my house." Sam said. Sam wrapped his jacket around Tyler and started leading him the rest of the way to his house.

Tyler woke up the next morning in a strange house feeling like he was frozen even though he could see a roaring fire in the fireplace across the room from him.

"Well look who's awake. Good morning sleeping beauty, I know you're still cold so I brought you soup." Said Sam as he walked into the room holding a giant pot of soup.
