"I can tell this is a strange artifact indeed, Mrs. Ladek." said another archeologist, Mr. Southturn who was standing over the artifact in a square room with encryptions of sayings and pictures of torture and violence. The only light they had were two torches, on near the entrance, and one that Mrs. Ladek was carrying.

This particular artifact was a strange, stone knife with red encryptions that was glowing within the dark area of a ruin just 20 miles south of a major city. It was laying down horizontal on an alter with other tools like knives and surgical tools. Around the artifact were hieroglyphic sayings about a warning and induced panic to who ever dares to pick it up off the alter.

"Southturn, I want you to pick it up..." ordered Ladek to Southturn.

Southturn looked at her with a look of slight worry and surprise, "But Mrs. Ladek, it plainly says on the hieroglyphics-"

Ladek cut him off while he tried to explain to her about the words, "I said do it! I am the higher authority here and much more powerful! With my skill with magic and the sword, we can fein off any unwanted visitor who dares cross our paths! And you..." She gives him a disgusted look, "... you are a prawn.... A small, useless little prawn who will only make an impact on the world when you are buried six feet under...."

At this point, Southturn looked at her with anger. Then turned around and started to leave. He didn't say a word until she ordered him to come back. As he stood at the entrance of the room with the artifact in it, he grabbed his torch, which was hook on a wall, and said, "I have had it with you and your bull crap... I have a family to take care of and one on the way. So..." He turned around and gave her the finger, "... Good day to you bitch!" He then walked out and headed his way to the exit of the large ruins.

Ladek looks at him with sudden dispare and fear. Then it turned to anger and rage, "You get your lousy ass back here and pick this up! You hear ME?!" No matter how loud she yelled or how hard she stomped her foot on the stone flooring, he was not coming back for her. She grumbled under her breath as she turned around back at the artifact and stared at it, tempted to pick it up. But what was stopping her was a certain saying on a part of the hieroglyphics around it saying, "If thy woman pick thus Dagger from the Alter of [unreadable], she shall carry our most unholy Father's [unreadable]!"

She took a breath, and swallowed hard as she reached over to it slowly, hesitating to pick it up. The close she got, the more she could feel heat radiating off of the artifact. Even the red encryption were starting to glow more and more, the closer she reached to it. She started to sweat slightly, her long, brown hair slightly in the way of her eyes as she brushed it aside to see better with little light she had from her torch. When she tried to jerk her hand back form the artifact, because she heard the old ruins slowly falling apart like any other ruin with pebbles dropping from the ceiling, it seemed like she couldn't pull her hand away from it. "Wha-What?" She started to panic. She dropped her torch onto the floor and then grabbed her hand that was not moving in thin air. She pulled and pulled, but it was not going anywhere. She could feel pressure on the hand that was reaching out to the artifact as of someone, or something, was grabbing it and holding her there. Suddenly the artifact started to shake and vibrate in place below her close hand that was next to it. Then it shot up to her hand where she forcefully grabbed the hilt and was being controlled by whatever force that was making her do it. With no control, and swallowed with fear and panic, her other hand grabbed it as well, turned the blade pointing at her, and then it was plunged into her heart where she screamed in pain before dropping onto the ground dead before she knew it.

Finally making it out of the ruins and into the jungle where they made camp, Southturn sighed with relief and happiness that he was finally done with Ladek. He looked up at the full moon and smiled. "I only did this for the kids and my wife." He chuckled slightly knowing that he made the right choice. He started to pack up his things such as the tent and radio, but then he heard screams of terror and death from the entrance to the ruin as it sent chills down his spine. He turned around quickly and looked into the dark. He recognized that scream and then she shook in his boots. He dropped what he had, grabbed his torch once more, and then ran as fast as he could to the major city far off on foot.

"Ha ha, what do you mean by 'Small egg?'" asked Nicky, who was on his cell phone with one of his friends. His dark, short, and fluffy fur on his draconic-like body reflected the suns rays on this bright afternoon on this beachfront city. His bright, slightly glowing red-violet, long hair moved in the cool breeze All he usually wore were pants while he walked down the beaches of Borvol heading back to his "perfect" apartment. He walked into the building and over to the elevator, listening to whoever was on the other line. "Yeah, I'm home right now, can I call you back later?" He paused, the voice on the other end responding, "Thanks bro, See ya!" He hung up the phone and pressed the button to his apartment. He waited for about five minutes and then it dinged letting him know it has arrived for his pick-up. He walked in and turned on his mp3 player to listen to one of his favorite songs before heading back into his house. Finally reaching the top floor, which was the 11th, he walked in smiled, and sighed happily, "Home sweet home, he he." He looked over at his white, leather sofa and flopped his whole body on it. The then propped his feet on the coffee table and wiggled his red-violet colored claws and giggled. He then attempted to look at the clock, but it was blurry to him. "I wish I didn't loos my glasses..." He said to himself, whimpering slightly. Nicky then looked over and saw his glasses on the couch folded up right beside him, "There they are!" He reached down, picked them up and smiled. He was happy his vision was much better as he looked back at the clock. It was 1:34 p.m., "I sure do hope he gets here on time...."

He looked around for his laptop, "Now where did I..." He got up off the couch and then into the kitchen. It was laying there on the middle island still open and on his Facebook page. He shook it head and leaned on the counter, browsing around as he saw one of his friend's status saying:

"Something weird happened to me today. Message if you want to know!"

His friend's profile picture showed a dark scaled humanoid dragon being with red horns and bright orange draconic eyes. Also in the picture he had his arms wrapped around a feminine dragon being's shoulders smiling. Her scales were a light gray and her horns were a soft white. Her eyes were an icy blue and her horns curved a bit to a point. They both smiled looking at the camera as they looked fairly happy.

He then slightly cocked his head to the right as he was curious to what it was. He selected his name to message him asking, "Hey Ira! What happened?"

He waited for about a few minutes, and then Ira responded:

"Well, it all started when I was just waking up. I had this feeling that something horrible is about to happen, but I find it as just a dream. I did watch some scary movie last night so yeah, heh >.///.>"

He responded, typing in sections:

"Well

Sometimes dreams can have meaning

Like that one time

That I had a dream about

a certain someone

who hasn't called yet

for some odd reason

....

But whatever, this is our first meeting so I am not that upset hehe :P"

Ira responded with:

"Yeah, true, but this one had a few people that I have never, ever met o.=.o' and they say that you only have dreams with people in it that you have met"

"Hmm

Maybe it was just a

Sign?

o.o"

"Could be. But I have no clue to what it meant. It's just been stuck in my head all morning and this afternoon. Well, what are you doing?"

Nicky planed on drawing, but then thought to himself, "Maybe he could come over for a bit. I could use the company until he gets here." So then he typed in to respond to his reply, "You busy? Because I am bored" Nicky nodded.

"No, I have nothing to do this whole evening. Why?"

"I was bored

Wanna come over for

a bit?"

Ira agreed responding:

Yeah, sure. I'll be over in 15."

After that, Nicky saw the message and then looked around on his Facebook more, and wondering when this certain person is suppose to meet him later today.

"Warning: Keep Out! Falling rocks can cause severe injury or even death!" was written on a sign to a desert gold mine shaft. The sun was much, much hotter in this region of Earth. The dry mountain side proved to be very harsh to the unwary adventurer.

Ira looked at his cell phone and close it after sending Nicky his message. His cell phone was a special one he created himself to contact satellites from space instead of towers. To aid him he was wearing adventuring gear, minus the hat, to help him carry certain items. All he had for defense was a pistol, an iron sword, and his skill in magic. He looked back into the dry and distant side of the dry lake bed from this view from the mountains as he finished up a cigarette. He then tossed it down beneath him and crushed the remaining cigarette beneath his right boot. The smoke he exhaled from in-taking came out from his nostrils. "Seems like I might be a bit late Nicky." He sighed slightly and then turned around towards the mine shafts entrance and then continued onward.

It was small and cramped as he then saw a mine cart waiting to be pushed onward. He didn't just see it as just a "cart", he saw it as an opportunity. He grinned and hopped into the cart and grabbed a hold of one of the support beams and pushed himself with his amazing strength. He growled and grunted at the same time as he pushed and away he went. Down the railing he went. First a steep drop, gaining speed, and around sharp corners to where the speed would cause the cart to roll on two wheels. Ira shifted his weight to have it land back onto all fours to continue. The lights were actually still burning the oil within the lanterns from years lighting the way as he saw the areas go into this huge chasm. As this cart coated on this straight stretch of track, he noticed a sudden stop up ahead.

"Oh no..." he said to himself. He had no other choice to prepare to become launched onto the other side. And as convenient it looked, there was a safe landing spot, as if this was deliberately made for such an occasion. As he stood up slightly to prepare to jump at the right time, the track hit the end at this face pace speed as he was launched over onto the ground, reaching forward for a tuck-and-roll maneuver. Flying through the air at a reasonable speed, he then landed on the ground, rolling and controlling himself from going any further as he stopped and then growled on one knee crouching. Ira stood up slowly and then looked onward into this dark, dangerous cave that was apparently not part of the mines. It looked recent to him as the dirt was still a bit fresh from being dug up. "Just what I was looking for. I'm much closer than what I expected to be."

From where he stood, he could see a lit up room that held lots of gold and treasures. From gold coins, to glistening gemstones, he made it to where he wanted to be. Other than the coins and gems, the room was massive. It had marble pillars that seemed to never end from the ceiling, down to the floor; chandlers that dangled from chains and was lit with candles and ornaments. It was amazing and large with mounds of gold coins collected form nations upon nations.

"This is going to be amazing to tell a few people when I am at the bar..." Ira said to himself. He walked a few more steps into the room and then started to feel the ground shake beneath his feet. It was in a rhythm as if something was walking towards him. He then got ready for whatever it was that was making the ground shake as it stomped in closer.

Suddenly a deep voice came from one of the dark ends of the large room as it echoed, "WHO DARES ENTER?!"

Ira squinted his eyes as he growled, unsheathing his sword making it spark with electric energy. "I do, Ira Gremka' of the Spitzer Mountains!"

"THEN HE WHO ENTERED SHALL PARISH UNDER MY MIGHTY FORCES AND FLAME!" Then, suddenly within the dark corner, two bright silver piercing eyes were glowing. Then it walked out slowly, reveling itself as a large, Crimson-Red Dragon roaring at Ira trying to scare Ira off with its size. It's large wings were spread open, trying to make it size look even larger.

Ira chuckled, "So you don't remember me... Brother Draconis...?" He smirked and crossed his arms, just waiting for the dragon to attempt to attack.

"How have you known my name, puny lizard?" Responded the dragon, stopping and looking at him. It clearly seemed to not remember Ira, but Ira remembered him. The large creature growled at Ira, "It doesn't matter. You are going to die right where you stand...!"

Ira shook his head, "You really don't remember me, do you? Well then, looks like you better remember...." He took his fighting stance as the two stared each other down in suspense.

Then, the dragon called Draconis pushed the dirt off his hind paws, preparing to charge after Ira to knock him off of the cliff where he entered. "Prepare..." The dragon then charged at Ira while growling loudly and gritting his sharp teeth together. Ira looked and chuckled as he leaped out of the way as fast as he could into the air above the dragon and landed on the other side of the room. Ira turned around and saw the dragon's tail right above him as it attempts to crush Ira. He then leaped out of the way, sword in hand, and cut up Draconis's tail to his hip. Then it roared in pain as he snapped at Ira coming extremely close to biting Ira in half. But with Ira's smaller size and swiftness, it was hard for Draconis to catch Ira while moving about. Then suddenly, Draconis took in a large amount of air, and blew fire at Ira. Ira quickly caught this at the right moment as he ran onto the other side of a pillar to avoid being burnt.

"I know you are over there..." Draconis said to Ira as he swung his tail, destroying the pillar above Ira.

"Gah!" Ira jumped out of the way before he was crushed from the weight of the marble pillars falling onto him. He did a tuck and roll once again and then stood up, looking at a Crimson-Red scaled view of Draconis.

"Got you..." Then the dragon lifted it's paw high above Ira, then slammed it onto him. "Hrrr?" The dragon didn't hear or feel any crushing beneath him, confused, as he looked under and saw no trace of Ira's corpse. "Where did he...?"

"Over here!" Roared Ira, holding a blood-red gem in his hands, "Is this what you are protecting Draconis? This evil object?! It's got you in it's grasp, Brother!"

"What are you going to do with that? Drop it now!" It was in fear. It didn't want Ira to destroy it or do anything else with it. The look in the dragon's eyes could tell that he didn't want it gone for some reason. "I will give you anything you want! Just don't do anything to it!"

Ira, looking at the gem, had other plans instead for the gem. He took both his paws and then crushed the gem with his strength. As he did so, the dragon roared out in pain as shadows raced out form the shattered pieces of gemstone on the ground. Draconis then fell over onto his side, passing out onto the mounds of gold. Ira quickly raced over to the downed dragon as the whole cave began to shake and crumble. "Oh great!" He had to make a choice; Help his brother, or run out as fast as he could without helping.

He chose to help his brother. As large pieces of rock fell form the ceiling and the floor cracking open, Ira quickly ran to his belly and placed his paws on Draconis's chest. Then Ira said healing versus to bring back consciousness back to him.

"Come on...! Work, damn it!" Yelled Ira as the complex crumbled around them. With a few seconds, Ira's paws were emitting a golden light and it fused into Draconis's body, healing anything that had happened to his body when the gem was destroyed as well as the wound he cut. Golden Light Orbs were floating around the two as Ira worked his magic to heal Draconis. Finally, after just a few seconds, Draconis roared suddenly from the sudden collapse of the room around them.

"What's going on?! What happened to me?!" Yelled Draconis to Ira. He was confused as well as scared.

"We have to get out of here! I will explain to you what happened later once we are out, so get up!" Ira looked around, making sure there were no falling rubble from the ceiling.

Draconis slowly got up, a bit dazed and confused, but listened to him as he stood up, folding his wings. "Lets get out of here..."

Ira hopped onto Draconis's back as he ran towards a path that lead up out into the open air. It was a cave entrance around the other side of the mountain where Draconis slept during his trance. As the entire location caved in behind them, Draconis jumped and opened his wings, gliding off as the dust rolled out of the cave behind them. Ira looked back, with a sigh of relief as he smiled slightly. He turned back around and looked at Draconis looking back at the entrance as they flew high above the desert, "Told you I would save you... Brother..."

The two flew off over the mountains, and then a screen popped up with stats of how well they did and with big lettering "Story Complete".

"Well, that was fun! Now to head over to Nicky's." Chuckled Ira looking at Draconis, who they both look striking similar to the characters they created on the video game. They were both anthropomorphic but Draconis still had wings.

Draconis chuckled as he looked at Ira. "Is Nicky that one guy that you hang out with a lot and are pretty close?" Said Draconis, placing the video game controller onto the coffee table in front of the large plasma television.

Ira stood up, stretching and murring slightly after popping his back, "Ahhh... that's better.... But yeah, he is. Been friends for a long time. Might as well call each other brothers, heh." Ira smiled slightly as he hopped over the couch and grabbed his keys for his vehicle, "You ready?" asked Ira to Draconis, who was standing and stretching his wings and body, "Yeah, I'm ready."

"Then lets go then, blood brother." He smiled and walked past Draconis heading to the door as e followed him close behind.
