Again, just updating with these in my spare time. Enjoy!

Fione packed up the camera, much to Garrin's relief. She had been asking him all kinds of thing, from his emotions and feelings to opinions of others, to finally asking him directly what happened with Valery that day. He was especially embarrassed at that, because he couldn't really justify why he placed a claw on her. After the barrage of questions, he was relieved to finally be able to rest his voice for a bit.
They were in one of the examination rooms for the interview, Garrin in a comfortable position on the ground, resting his head on the floor as she shuffled notes about, preparing something. When she remembered the dragon still waiting, Fione looked back up from her papers.
"That's all for now Garrin, but I'd like to tell you that dinner will be served in the cafeteria tonight. Most of the other subjects will be there, excluding Melvin and Valery. This will hopefully give you all some time to talk in a group, and express any concerns or interests to each other. Rememeber to be there in an hour- I'm sure that James will be looking out for you though."
"Mhm."
"Oh yes, and Eglan wants to go through the procedures for next week. Until then, you're free to go as usual. I don't want to hear about you bothering anybody however, is that clear."
"Okay Mrrsss... Mrrrsssrsss. *Humph*. Okay."
"Good. See you in an hour."
The automatic doors opened as Fione released them from her desk, frightening a surprised Tucker who happened to be moving past at the time. Pretty much any door the subjects were allowed through was open permanently, unless something such as a test was underway, or the room was otherwise occupied. Greeting Tucker, the pair wandered down the halls towards the Cafeteria, Garrin figuring to just wait there for the hour.
"Woah dude, you gave me a hammering back there, my chest just, spaaazzed out. Was that about the thing with the beeping and the stuff?"
"If you meeam. uhh. My voice hurts. If you mean, Valeery. Mhm."
"Uhh, man, you say Valery? You just did not make sense to me then. That's a problem when the King'o'green can't tell what you say. I donno how the other apples here are supposed to know what you mean."
"I...muuh, you're right."
"Practice man, practice. Don't forget to gargle. Bit of salt, wash out the monsters, that's what I remember from my dear mumma."
"Huhuh, you don't make seense eeither!"

They waited out by the large cafetaria entrance, talking randomly. Having lost track of time, they asked a lady in hazmat gear if she had any idea about it, but she walked past them even faster, sliding into a side hallway out of sight.
"That apple just completely ignored us! Man, the nerve of these fruits."
"Uhh, why call theem fruit?"
"Because they're smart apples, smart cookies, same panini. I could go for a panini, but actually, I need to go for a piss, be right back."
Slightly surprised by the remark, Garrin just watched as Tucker made his way around the corner to the washroom. Despite being impossible to ever stay entirely on one subject with the guy, and his odd sayings and habits, he was always a good talk all the time. Garrin had spoken more with him than any of the other subjects- so maybe he could coinisder him a friend now?
Regardless, it was good to have someone to speak with on level terms. Not just the one sided conversations with either James or Fione, of which both were concerned as much about their paperwork as the subject at hand.
Heavy steps began to vibrate around from the other hall corner. Two assistants were helping Bella walk around, in a slow but sure tandem. Analiese was behind, unable to help properly because the corridors weren't really wide enough. Just as when he visited them earlier, Anna had a permanently worried face across her green complexion, while Bella's saddened look was a metalic green so dark, it was close to black. A lot of her haunches were still covered in broken skin, same with the underside of her neck. Her eyes were absolutely white, and were surrounded in a crusty yellow muscus... They were nerve-racking to stare at for too long.
Garrin knew he wouldn't be able to help her either, and so decided to walk into the Cafeteria to get a spot at the back, out of the way. Bella tapped around on the floor with her paw in search of any walls just as a blind women would with a cane. A few times, it seemed as though she might lose her balance, but the assitants tried their best to keep her orientated by her side, telling her where she was walking. When Bella finally lay down by a wall, Analiese went over, and comforted her sister.
Tucker came back in the meantime, and sat next to Garrin, between him and the sisters. He asked how Bella was, but she only murmured. Anna said she was still tired from being woken up recently.
Cassandra padded in at this point, with a kind of pissed expression. The guard from earlier today who held Garrin back was with her, holding a Tazer at the ready. The violet dragon's limbs had a series of shock collars on them as well, with some sort of individual plastic covers for her thick claws. She didn't make a sound as she lay down at the other side of the room, looking worse than bored. This was the first time he'd seen her since leaving the tanks.
Lastly, Doctor James walked in with the metalic brown dragon that was Derek Cougar, who was progressing forwards on his hind legs like Tucker, but with a wider gape. His belly was a greyish-black, similar to Garrin's, and his horns had devloped more than most others, curving foward to face ahead. Derek made his way over to Garrin, making eye contact as he passed. A shiver prickled under Garrin's skin as the bronze dragon seemed to analyse him, before standing further across the room from him, positioned like a Gargoyle.
James stood by the serving shutters at the front of the room, saying that Mrs Stanley and Mr Eglan would arrive soon. Light mumbling could be heard from the sisters, and Tucker spoke a word or two with Garrin, wondering what was happening. Derek and Cassy remained silent over the far side of the room together.
Eventually the Lead researcher and the ecentric geno-assembler gathered at the front with the Doctor, the guard leaving Cassy's side to stand by the shutters. The idle talking waned away as Harvey Eglan stepped forward clearing his throat, and then his glasses.
"Shhhow! Yosh all look marveloush here today, and it sheems ash though mosht of yosh got through thish ordeal jusht fine. But, I want to remind yosh all that mosht of thesh negetive effectsh can be revershed.
Casshy, Bella, yosh will be put back in the chambersh tomorrow, show we can try fixsh the Vocalsh and the eyesh. I have prepared both of yosh a new virush for thish."
Mrs Stanley stepped up now, tapping on her papers.
"I'm sure that Melvin and Valery will be recovering over the next week, while Cassy and Bella will be in the cryostasis chambers. That just leaves Tucker, Garrin, Derek and Analiese to go onwards immediately to some of the tests. We'll be opening up the gym area to be used for exercises and training- as well as the terrarium later to get your biology more prepared for bacterial attacks.
Actually, on the subject of the outside world, we've had some relatives and friends call in and ask when you will all be visitable. Visitors won't be allowed unless approved by the HOD of genetics, and confirmed with the subject in question. We'll be approving these visits on a case by case basis. "
Tucker raised a hand, waving the purple thing around like an obsessive school child. Mildly suprised, but not particularily so, Fione motioned for him to speak up.
"Hey this might not be on the topic rocket, but why is Chick all cropped up?"
"I don't believe that's the most considerate question to ask Mr Tamarilin."
Off to the side, Cassy glowered over everyone, a barely audiable growl rumbling around in her chest. The guard at the front stood at attention in case he'd have to use the tazer. Garrin looked over at the two, held in an intense state- Cassy almost seemed as if she was goading the guard with her eye motions, huffing occasionally. It was hard to believe that just her loss of voice could push her so far toward aggression, although it was always possible the transformation messed with her head as well after all.
"If that's all the questions, then I'm sure you're all starving. Let's get dinner served everybody!"
Fione and the other doctors all stood back as the shutters rolled open, a man and a lady on the other side with pots of soup- or some sort of soup anyway, with soft chunky bits in it. It was slightly heated, wafting a bit of steam from the top.
Cassy rushed her way forward and slotted herself in first as a makeshift line formed, followed by Derek and Tucker in a more orderly fashion. Analiese arranged to get bella's food so that her sister wouldn't have to stand, and seeing this, Garrin let her go ahead to become last in the queue.
Instead of using disposable plastic bags, the soup was served in plastic buckets with a handle, and came with a spoon and a straw. Cassy ignored both when she got her food, prefering to lift the bucket up and guzzle it. Tucker tried out the large plastic spoon, and seemingly had little to no problems using it to his advantage. Garrin figured he'd just use the straw- he had been used to those by now, and his claws would probably be too fiddly for the spoon.
By the time Garrin had his meal, everyone was eating- the Docters included, being served their own food as well through the shutters. Someone had set up a camera tripod in addition to the camera in the kitchen area looking through the window, both filming how the subjects reacted to the utensils.
Tucker had wandered over to the sisters, and was talking in a low voice, if still dramatically. Bella seemed to enjoy the company, if still not speaking much. She was being fed the food slowly by her sister, with an assistant on side watching.
Garrin merely listened from the back, but he couldn't help but notice Derek wander over to Cassy. He said something to her, but he was too quiet to hear. Taking a step closer, Garrin kept alert, a bad vibe forming in his gut.
"-what's it like then? Giving everyone a break for once? Shh, don't speak, I already know what you're going to say, just like how everyone else already does--"
Without warning, Cassandra swipped up at the bronze dragon, the plastic covers preventing her from doing more than a powerful slap. Before the guard could shout for her to stop, the magenta giant had already swung forward and planted her feet on Derek's chest, pushing him over backwards. She was about the bodyslam down on the stunned body before her shock collars went off, paralysing her limbs and torso.
The guard eased the power down, leaving Cassy to writhe on the floor in unconcious spasms. The bronze dragon edged himself away from the dangerous subject, feigning inocence over what just happened.
Garrin, in shock, was once again unsure what to do. Confusion broke out in the room as more technicians and guards crowded in, Dr James assessing Cassy's condition while the first guard made sure none of the other dragon's would panic and strike out.
Had he been the only one to hear the truth just moments earlier?
