Looking for Love: Chapter 1.
#1 of Looking for Love
"Cliffton Memorial Medical Plaza." Chimed the voice helpfully.
Cole sighed as he entered the subway car along with a few furs and another human, easily finding a seat at the early morning hour. Pulling out his phone he switched it on, waiting for the white apple to disapear and reveal any missed texts or calls over the last twelve hours.
2 NEW MESSAGES
"Mike C.
Hey bro, you out of work yet or just starting? Wanted to see if you wanted to join Cala and I for lunch tomorrow. We were thinking Panera Bread on Welmont. Let me know. :)"
Cole smiled and wrote back,
"Just got off. let me shower and get a few hours and I'll join ya. Noon work?"
He sent the message into space having just enough bars as the train exited the tunnels and made its way to the urban residences just outisde of downtown.
NEW MESSAGE
"1-444-555-4343
Hey, its your mother. New number, hope you don't block this one like you and your brother and sister did. All I want to do is talk. I love you, but your father is manipulating you into believing I am the enem-"
MESSAGE DELETED.
Cole sighed, not wanting to let his mother's bull get to him.
"Now entering Lemming Way Avenue. Cliffton Transportation Authority reminds you to stay safe, and take all belongings with you."
Cole stood up from his chair and moved to the subway door as the train slowed into the urban community. The doors opened with a hydraulic hiss and emptied the scrub clad human into the open air platform, still lit by the lamps waiting for the sun to finish rising.
Cole enjoyed the early mornings, the cool air, the quiet, just waiting for the city to stir. Walking down to the brownstones, Cole breathed the chill air, trying to relax his fatigued yet wired mind. He mulled the day over as he entered the code for his building and walked up two flights to his small but well furnished studio apartment that served as his new home in the urban neighborhood.
Not wasting any time, the sandy haired man undressed and showered, relaxing his toned muscles and pushing the stress from his mind. Soon, the young nurse was washed and dried, and fell into bed and an exhausted sleep.

"Hey man! Good to see you! How's life been treating you?" The husky said, greeting his buddy as he and his girlfriend stood up from the table.
"Great! Works been good." Cole said, leaning to kiss Cala on the sheek "Hey doll! Also, liking the subway, saves on gas. The Camero is a great car, but it isnt cheap to fill or fuel efficient."
"Enjoying civilian life though? No uniforms, no swaying vessels, though there aren't any seamen." Cala smirked, sitting back down and tucking her fluffy tail into the opening on the chair.
"I gotta wear scrubs still. How about you? The boutique doing well?"
"Yeah, got a few high end regular clients now, and as I gain their favor, they recommend me to their circles. Buisiness is breaking even but I'm confident things will pick up and I can finish off those loans for good."
"Great! Mike told me you're planning some high end winter gala at the Ritz?"
"Yup!" The husky nodded, taking a sip from her drink. "The idea is that independant boutiques, jewelry shops, and art galleries will auction off some pieces for charity, as well as let women pick a dress and jewelry to wear to an upcoming event for free. You know, advertise our items, style, get our names into the right circles."
"Just plant the seed, really, I guess." Cole said nodding.
"Exactly! A friend will see a dress or gown, then wonder where she got it, and bam, potential customer. And since we have multiple buisnesses all working together to get the event going, the cost itself is fairly minimal for the advertising and type of clientele we'll be attracting. And you are more than welcome to come! I'd love to see you there. Got a lot of elite walking around and it'll be nice to have a few familiar faces in between the mingling."
"Of course! Let me know the date and I'll get the day off." Cole promissed, earning a smile from Cala, "And the CPD treating you well?"
"Excellent. Been there long enough to get better hours, no more midnight patrols. About to get a promotion. Oh, you need to order, we're waiting on ours now." Mike said, waiving the dormant buzzer.
"Right. Didn't eat anything since work." Cole said, realizing how hungry he was. He rapidly stood up and ran straight into a panther sending a tray and its contents crashing to the floor.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" Cole said, bending to picking the plate and various sandwich contents, "Let me buy ya a new meal."
"Its okay, they'll replace it." The panther said good naturedly.
"I apologize. New work schedule has me on the fritz. Did any get on your shirt or tie?"
"I'm fine, really! Thanks." He said with a smile, his bright green eyes catching Cole's.
"Of course, i'm so sorry. I'm gonna go order my food and hopefully make it back in one piece."
"Yeah, maybe my next sandwich will survive. Guess it was just his time."
"heh, yeah. I'm a regular grim reaper!" Cole said with a chuckle. Realizing how goofy he sounded, his cheeks turned a rosy red and no fur to hide it.
"Then your the kindest reaper I've met." The panther said with a grin, enjoying the dimples and blush on the human's cheeks.
"Heh, sorry again!"
Cole rushed to the line to beat a new crowd walking in from the subway entrance outside, as well as get away from the cute panther and embarrassing situation. Waiting his turn, he ordered his food, got his buzzer, and returned to the table to find his two favorite huskies with their plates.
"That smells amazing!" Cole gazed, his stomach rumbling.
"You should try it with our sense of smell. Its even better." Cala teased before savoring a bite of her stew.
"That is an advatage. but at least i dont smell the hospital smells nearly as much as some of my colleagues. They gotta use that cream under their nose until they just get used to the smell. Bleck."
"Lotta guys at the station use that as well." Mike piped in.
"So. Meet any hot guys lately? Or run into any?" Cala said swithcing the subject from work.
"Not a lot of opportunity at work exactly. And thats all I've really had time for."
"Well, maybe the gals and I can take you out to a club or something, at least get you laid. I have a dress I've wanted to go out in."
"Well, I don't have a lot of time, and..." *bzzt bzzt bzzt. bzzt bzzt bzzt* "ffffffoooooooodddddddduuuhh!!!"
Cole came back soon with his food, this time conscientious of any tray toting panthers.
"So? You were ready to dodge my question?" Cala said sternly staring down her friend.
"Well..."
"No 'weeellll's. You need to go out. I know you are busy and you love your job, but go out some. You've been non stop for years and you need to go out and have fun. Four years of non stop nursing school for your BSN, then Navy nursing core and OCS. Then four years at hospitals and ships serving the country. You have a lot of accomplishments and successes, more than many your age, and thats brilliant! No one is going to look down on you for dancing a bit or making out with a cutie now and then. Just get laid some too. Its affecting your mood. And from college, I know you have a raging libido." Cala said frankly.
"And people say medical professionals have no filters when it comes to bodily functions." Mike said shaking his head in good nature. "while this isn't exactly public lunch conversation apropriate, Cala is right. Relax some. Take a load off now and then."
"Or several." Cala said before cracking up.
"Okay! Okay. Geez woman. In addition to your gaila, I will make time to go out with you guys. Happy?" Cole said, un-burying his face from his hands.
"Thats right! You do as I say! You know it!" Cala said, exagerating her attitude.
"How?" Cole asked, looking at Mike questioningly.
"The sex is reaallllyyy great." Mike said before hiding behind his glass.
"Yup. I'm just using you for your body." Cala whispered seductively, looping her black hair around her finger.
Cole just shook his head and smiled before taking a bite of his turky and wry.

"Now entering Lemming Way Avenue. The Cliffton Transportation Authority reminds you to stay safe, and take all belongings with you. Thank you. La Autoridad Cliffton Transportauon le recuerda a mantenerse a salvo, y tomar todas las pertenencias con yoi. Gracias."
Cole barely had to listen to the train announcements anymore as he fell into the "commuter syndrome" and entered autopilot. He enjoyed the short walk home, listening to the crunching leaves beneath his black leather cowboy boots as fall settled in comfortably. Actual seasons were nice for a change. Growing up in the south it was either hot and cool, green or brown. He stopped just long enough to give a tug on his car cover to make sure it stayed secure before entering his building and cozy abode.
After hanging his jacket and setting aside his boots, Cole flopped down into his desk chair and powered up his laptop. He browsed Facebook and caught up on all the irrelevant factoids his friends sent into cyber space, and considered his next step.
Cala is right. I do need to get laid.
Cole then tapped a few keys and clicked a few icons and was soon feeling his jeans get tight as the tiger and the horse on top of him rutted heavily. Unzipping his pants and pulling them down some, Cole pulled out his uncut cock and gave it a few tugs, enjoying the sensations.
"Oh yeah! Give it! OH YEAH. I want it inside me deeper! Oh yeah!"
Cole never remembered any of his romps being that vocal, or that cheesy, but still, the equine cock pounding that muscled kitty ass and the barbed, neglected cat cock bobbing with each thrust egged him on. Pulling on his cock and tugging his foreskin up and down, Cole soon found himself on the edge. Reaching down with his right hand, he fingered himself, imagining that black panther thrusting in and out, shaking his bed frame and filling the apartment with musk and sex. Mind filled with fun but frustraitng thoughts, Cole grunted and shot his load all over his under shirt. Breathing a bit, he groaned at the mess.
Taking off his shirt and throwing it into the hamper, Cole hopped onto his bed and fell into a deep sleep until his next shift.

"Hey! Cole, you got your rounds done?" A bear asked, peering at him from behind her glasses.
"Yes ma'am. Mrs. Yettsoon in 506 needed her IV resecured. Took me five minutes to find a vein with all that flab."
"Well then, good." The ward nursing supervisor harrumphed, returnig her eyes to her computer. "We have a pharmaceutical rep coming in Thursday at four. We need you to give him a tour before his big meeting with the bosses upstairs. He apparently likes to see the ERs, ICUs, and marternity wards in the hospitals before hand."
"We won't be tripping over him right?" Cole said, moving out of the way as a guerny was rushed into the OR by EMTs, nurses and doctors.
"Better not. So you're gonna watch him, give him as short a tour as possible and get him on his way then return to your duties. We're already short staffed as it is but they want you giving the tour, 'best and most outgoing nurse you have'. Dumbasses. One less nurse is a big deal down here, unlike those milk drinkers in the private ward."
"I'll do my best on all accounts." Cole nodded gravely, dreading the tour and mulling over the waste of time it was.
"Good. Shit, WE GOT A CODE BLUE IN FIVE OH SEVEN." The bear bellowed as a monitor at her station lit up and beeped.
Cole and several others rushed into the room with the defib unit and supplies. After several uses of the defibrillator, CPR, and adrenaline, the doctor looked up from the young man and shook his head.
"Time of death, 11:34pm. Cardiac arrest. Heart likely couldn't handle the blood loss from the gun shot wounds."
"We better get some security down here. I think some of his gang members are still mulling about the waiting room." Cole said, remembering seeing them when the young man came in.
"Yeah. Get them down here, and keep them away from 617." The doctor nodded.
"On it." One of the other nurses answered before making her way to the nursing station.
"Security please report the the ER nursing station." Cole heard before exiting the room as the doctor and the third nurse finished up.
