#2 of Poetry

This is a poem I wrote...gosh...it has to be around 2 years ago, I think. It was written for my good friend, Antarian_Knight. That wolf just always seems to teach me something in some way. Other times, he's just a great person to talk to and I'm honored to have such a friend.

Through blood and truth, a fraternity is forged.

A master, and a student. Brothers all the same.

Friend and guide, something to stay forever more.

A dragon's roar, a wolf's howl,

Things they try to tame,

But instead get flesh that tore.

The dragon is strong, the wolf is cunning.

But within both, they are the same.

For with every individual,

The only difference is the shell

The wolf is the dragon's guide,

The dragon sits by his side,

Watching,

Waiting,

Learning,

The day has yet to come,

When the dragon is accepted by his own.

Through endless torture,

He has come,

Caring for the human with whom he is one.

The human is held up on this great power's wings,

Through the air, he feels free.

This human,

This poor human,

Found a wolf.

The wolf was kind,

And helped find,

The human's place in a world so unkind.

The wolf's kindness was an endless bank,

Yet all the human can do is thank.

The dragon, who is faithful forever to the human,

Also saw the wolf that was a man.

When the dragon faltered,

The man lent him a hand,

But nothing in return did he demand.

For they are brothers across the gorge,

With a fraternity forged.

Kindred Spirits, A Lesson Learned

Subject 1275 opened his eyes slowly, finding that he was lying on a very thin layer of cloth over the top of something much harder. The scent of recycled air was all around him once more, and the wolf boy shook his head a little, trying to understand...
