Another cliche story I wrote. This time trying my hat in with the herm category. I blame all the hours I spent looking at pictures of Artica Sparkle (god damn she is hot). This is from a narrator point of view which was intersting for me to do and also something new. I hope you like it and if you don't please feel free to bash away in the comment section.

You let out a sigh as you type out the final paragraph for your boss's presentation speech and hit the save button. You really hate the wolverine but she paid you well to make her look good in front of her superiors. Looking at the clock, you only have fifteen more minutes until clock out time.

Your ears swivel around to the voice to see a roo looking at you over the cubicle wall.

"I'm tired," you reply, stretching your arms over your head. "That battle ax is working me to death."

"I'm not surprised. There's a rumor going around here that she has a crush on you."

You laugh at that before shaking your head.

"No thank you. If she's that demanding here, I would hate to see her in bed behind closed doors."

"No kidding. I bet she's into the master/slave role playing."

You shiver at that, knowing that could probably be true.

"Anyway, me and the fellas are going to the Lantech club later tonight. Want to join?"

You think about it, rubbing a finger under your chin.

"Sure why not. I could use a couple of drinks. I need to change clothes though."

"No problem. We'll pick you up around eight if that's okay?"

"Sounds good to me. I'll be waiting," you say, a happy wag to your tail.

You look at the clock again as it's punch out time. Grabbing your stuff, you head to the break room to clock out. Just before you reach your time card, you hear your name being called by the last person you want to hear.

"Kai, can I see you in my office please?"

You face palm yourself and groan, so close to freedom only to be denied. Sighing, you head to the office marked Kathrine Wilson and walk in after knocking. There, you see a wolverine looking over some notes, tiny glasses on the bridge of her muzzle. She's really not that bad looking, long black hair done in a pony tail going down her back. Orange eyes that could be wild some days and lovely the next. Decent size breasts that you could play drums with and a hefty frame. "Did you hear me Kai?"

"Excellent," she said getting up and taking off her glasses, placing them on the desk. "You really do make a great presentation speech."

You watch her walk around and lean on the desk, her orange eyes looking you over from head to toe making you swallow hard.

"You know mister Reeves, I'm sure you heard about the rumor swirling around here."

"I'm not into office gossip," you say with a shrug of your shoulders.

"Well, the rumor going around is that the reason I'm so hard on you is because I have a crush on you."

"And you're okay with that?"

"Well the last part is correct. I do have a big crush on you," she said, a visible blush you spot on her white furred cheeks. "But I work you just as hard as the next person. Nobody gets special treatment. You've been here for nine years so you should know that by now."

"That, I did know."

She gives you a soft chuckle before slowly unbuttoning the top two buttons of her shirt revealing to you her soft, white chest tuft and some cleavage. She walks up to you and plays with your shirt collar, tickling your neck softly.

"You know Kai, I do fantasy about you a lot at night. It would make me happy if we could get to know each other better. In more ways then one."

"As much as I like the idea, most office romances usually don't work out between co-workers. Especially when it involves the boss."

You see her fold her ears but hear a chuckle before she looks up at you with those soft orange eyes.

"There is one thing I would like though, if it's not too much trouble?"

"What is it?" you ask, ears perked up at attention.

"Can you.....kiss me? I know it sounds strange but I would love nothing more then that."

You think about the request, tail twitching behind you. She just wanted a kiss. What could be wrong with that?

"Sure," you say with a smile.

Her orange eyes light up like the sun as she smiles widely. She closes the gap, putting her arms around your neck and leans up, eyes closed. You put your arms around her waist, her rose perfume filling your senses before you close your eyes and meet her soft lips. Shivers run up your spine as you kiss your boss's soft lips. Her head tilts a little as you feel her tongue wanting access.

"You're welcome Kat," you say with a smile. You want to add if there's anything else you need but you already know the answer to that question.

"I kept you here long enough. Head on home," Kat says, reluctantly releasing her grip on your neck. "But if you ever change your mind, both of my doors are open for you," she says with a seductive wink.

"I'll keep that in mind. I'll see you tomorrow Kat."

You leave your boss's office, clock out and head down to the parking lot. Getting into your car, you sit there for a minute and think about what just happened. Licking your lips, you can still taste Kat's saliva as you swallow it.

"I really need to get laid," you sigh, starting the car up and heading home.

After a ten minute ride, you pull into the apartment complex and find a place to park. Getting out, you head to your door and walk in, the subtle smell of forest filling your nose as your smile.

You've been collecting them for a while now and it gives your apartment an earthly feeling. After watering them, you head into the bedroom and sit on the bed. Looking at the clock, it reads six-fifty. You think about taking a wash off but change your mind and lay back on the bed. The next thing you know, you hear the doorbell ring. Looking at the clock, it says eight-ten.

"Crap," you yelp, getting up and rushing to the door.

Opening it, you see your co worker standing there with a smile.

"Sorry, I kind of fell asleep. Let me get changed really fast."

You rush back into the bedroom, tossing off your work clothes for a pair of black slacks and a white silk shirt. Grabbing your wallet, keys and shoes, you head outside to the awaiting car and hop into the passenger side.

"Took you long enough," an armadillo said in the back.

"Sorry. Didn't think I would fall asleep."

"Doesn't matter. Lets just head to the club and get down," a brown rabbit said next to the armadillo with a fist pump.

You make it to the club as the line is long and the parking lot is packed. Getting out, you head to the line, waiting to get in. The line moves swiftly as people go in and come out. Showing your id, you walk in to the heavy sound of bass and the thick scent of sweat and alcohol.

"Let's find a seat," the roo yelled over the music.

You weave and dodge you way through the dance floor to the booths in the back. Finding an empty one, you all sit down just as the DJ plays an upbeat mix.

"Come on Jason, let's show these people how to dance properly," the rabbit said, pulling the dillo's arm.

"Okay Damon, let's do this," Jason said with a grin and a quick peck on the cheek as they mixed into the crowd.

You watch the couple leave as your tail thumps on the seat in time with the bass.

"I'm going to grab some drinks. You want the usual?" the roo asked.

"Yeah, one Candy Shoppe and make sure they use the sweet syrup Henry," you yell at the roo.

Henry gives a thumbs up before heading to the bar. Your eyes scan the mass of people on the dance floor as the strobe lights come on making people cheer. Something catches your eyes making your ears perk up. You see a husky dancing to the beat, eyes closed as its arms wave in the arm before roaming its body. You can tell its a female from the breasts sticking out of the tight shirt she's wearing. Your eyes scan her body through the flashing lights. "I hear that. The old battle ax will probably work us hard tomorrow as well and we'll need a clear head," Henry says with a chuckle.

Damon and Jason came back to the table sweating and all smiles.

"I think we're done for the night," Jason chuckled, taking a quick drink of his beer.

"Then let's hit the road," Henry says getting up.

You wobble out the club and into Henry's car. He pulls into your parking lot and stops.

"Thanks for the fun," you say getting out. "I'll see you guys tomorrow."

"Later!" everyone says.

You watch them leave before heading inside. Locking the door behind you, you head into the bedroom and strip off your clothes quickly. Opening the dresser drawer, you grab a pair of boxers before heading into the bathroom. Turning on the light, you glance at yourself in the mirror. Your not that bad looking for a twenty four year old wolf. Black fur dominates your body except for the white patch on your chest and ears. Teal eyes that are full of life which ladies say are lovely to stare into. You give a smile as you hop into the shower, letting out a sigh as the hot water washes you down. Hopping out, you dry yourself off before putting the boxers on. Laying on the bed, you let out a yawn before getting under the covers. Before you know it, you're out like a light.

"You going to eat all of that?" Henry laughs as you take a seat

"Did you sleep like a log last night?" Henry asks, wiping his mouth with a napkin.

"I need to get back to work. Sorry again for bumping into you," she says with a small bow of her head.

You watch her leave, eyes locked onto her curly tail which is wagging happily. Henry walks up behind you and throws an arm over your shoulder.

"Shut up," you say with a playful shove.

You head back to work and sit down. Your mind replaying images of that knock out husky that bumped into you. "I'll be going out of town for a few days. My mom has fallen ill and I need to take care of her."

"I will. Thanks."

Henry leaves as you continue to work until clock out time. Saving your work, you head into the break room to clock out and leave the building. Getting into your car, you start the engine and head for home. Finding a parking space, you unlock the door and head inside.

Looking into the corner, you smile as you see your plant collection. You make sure to water them as well as clip off any dead leaves to make them look beautiful. Finishing that, you change into a pair of sweat pants and sit on the couch with the TV on. You idly flick through the channels before your mind goes back to the husky from earlier today. "Maybe she's at the club again," you say to yourself.

Getting up, you change clothes into something more decent and head out the door. The club comes into view as you pull into the parking lot. It's packed again as you barely find a parking spot. Instead of heading to the booths, you walk up and sit at the bar as a gryphon looks at you, a towel over his shoulder.

The gryphon nods his head and begins to mix your drink as you watch him, a happy wag to your tail. Once he finishes, he places it in a mug and hands it to you along with a coaster.

"That'll be nine even."

You hand him a ten and a couple of ones for a tip which he thanks you for. Taking a sip, you let out a murr as the cool, sweet beverage runs down your throat. Spinning in the seat, you begin your scan of the crowd on the dance floor, hoping to find that dreamy husky. Your teal eyes move back and forth rapidly, hoping she would be here. The strobe lights flashing above you is not helping as you let out a small growl.

But soon, you find what you are looking for. The husky was dancing up a storm, her tail moving to the music. You just sit there and watch her dance, admiring her from afar as you take another gulp of your drink. Your eyes make contact again as she gives you another wink before turning her back. You give a grin and put your drink down before walking up to her just as the music changes to a slow beat. Being brave, you wrap your arms around her stomach making her bark in surprise before giggling.

"Sneaking up on a lady are we?" she says, grinding into you.

"My apologizes," you tell her, moving your muzzle towards her neck.

You inhale her scent which holds a strawberry flavor to it. Must be the perfume she put on. You also smell something else coming from her, but you can't quite place it due to the smell of the other bodies around you. She turns in your grip as you look into her eyes and you smile seeing it's the husky you bumped into earlier in the day.

"It seems we met again," you grin.

"So it seems. Are you stalking me?"

"Would you be mad if I said yes?"

"I would be happy if you did. Most men seem to shy away from me."

Her cute giggle sounds like music to your ears as you spin her before bringing her close again.

"You dance pretty good," she says with a smile.

"It's not one of my strong points, but I try."

The song ends as another starts up. You see her pant a little before smiling.

"Can I buy you a drink?"

"You read my mind. Let's find a seat."

You find an empty booth as you both take a seat.

"What will you have?" you ask.

"I'll have whatever you have."

You smile before heading to the bar and ordering two Candy Shoppe's, returning to the booth and handing her the drink with a thanks.

"Wow, this is pretty good," she smiles, tail wagging behind her.

"I know. It's my favorite drink."

"So cutie," she says, resting her head on her paws. "What's your name? Mine is Melody."

"Kai Reeves, my lady."

"Wow, cute and has manners. You'll never find a combo like that anymore. Where do you work?"

"I work at Aspen as an accountant. Boring but it pays the bills."

"You work across the street from me. Now I know you're stalking me," she laughs.

You look at her as her tongue seems to play with the straw, going around the top before slowly putting it into her maw. You see her ears twitch before nodding.

"Sure thing Kai. I would love it."

"Great," you say with a happy bark, tail wagging non stop.

She reaches into her pocket and takes out a small scarp of paper and writes something on it before handing it to you.

"That's my number. Call me when you're ready to pick me up?"

"I'll do that."

She gives you another wink and blows a kiss before getting up and heading to the door. You watch her leave, your smile never leaving your face. You managed to come one step closer to nabbing probably the hottest canine you ever seen. Finishing your drink, you decide to call it a night as you head back to your car, excited about your dinner date.

"You seem awfully happy today Kai," Jason said, looking at you in the break room along with Damon.

You look at Jason and chuckle.

"That's because I just scored a date with a hot husky."

"Really?" Damon said, looking at you. "What's her name?"

"Melody," you said dreamily.

Both Jason and Damon look at each other before chuckling.

'What's so funny?" you ask them both.

"Nothing. I never thought I would hear that name again is all," Jason said crossing his arms.

"You know her?" you ask, ear perked up.

"We went to high school together. Guys flocked over her but she declined every one of them."

"Why?"

Jason was about to answer but Damon pinched him.

"We'll let you find that out for yourself," Damon said with a grin.

"Come on, just tell," you whine.

"Sorry Kai, some things are better found out in person. Besides, she's a really nice person. I'm sure you two will hit it off just fine." Jason said, taking a sip of his ice tea.

You let out a slight growl as they back away, hands up in defense smiling. Just when you're about to pounce them, Kat walks into the break room and looks at all of you.

"And what is going on in here?"

"Nothing boss lady. We're about to go back to work," Damon said, hustling Jason past her.

She looks confused before looking at you.

"What was that all about?"

"They're just being themselves. What brings you here?" you ask.

"I need you to work out the kinks of the Howard account. It seems there are a lot of holes that need to be filled again."

Your ears twitch at that before rubbing your chin.

"I thought they fixed that last week?"

"I thought so too, but apparently they didn't."

You let out a sigh before nodding your head. The Howard account was probably the most pain in the ass account to deal with.

"I have no say in the matter huh?"

"If there was anybody else, I would be asking them instead. Why do you ask? Do you have something planned for today?"

You think about the dinner with that hot husky Melody and smile.

"Well, I do have a date planned out for tonight."

You see her ears fold back and her orange eyes lose their gleam.

"I see," she says softly. "Then I'll have Walter do the Howard account. You can go do your business."

"Kat wait," you say but she's already out the door.

You let out a small whine, ears folded back. You hate to see Kat like this cause it hurts you a little. With a sigh, you get up and head back to your desk. Sitting down, you dig into your pocket to find Melody's number. Smiling, you settle in and start working again til clock out time. Once that magical time comes, you punch out and head to your car with a spring in your step. You know just the place to take her as you head home and get ready for tonight.

The phone on the other end rings a couple of times before you hear that silky voice respond.

"Hello?"

"Hey Melody, it's me Kai."

"Well, hello there Kai. I was waiting for you to call."

"Sorry. Work was a little crazy today. Are you ready for our dinner?"

"I can' t wait Kai. I look forward to dining with you."

"Great. I'll pick you up around seven thirty if that's okay with you?"

"Absolutely. I'll be ready by then. See you," she says, giving you her address before hanging up.

The phone goes dead as you can't help but wag your tail. You head into the shower and wash yourself thoroughly before getting out. Drying off, you head back into the room and open the closet door, looking at the wide assortment of clothes to choose from. What would look good on you as well as make a good first impression? You decide to go with an all white attire, making your black fur stick out. Grabbing a brush, you brush down your head fur and splash on a little bit of cologne. Double checking yourself, you give a thumbs up to your reflection before heading out the door.

The ride isn't long as you arrive at her complex in about fifteen minutes. It's a simple complex going only two stories high for each building. You arrive at her apartment and beep the horn a couple of times. Your mouth drops at the sight that greets you. Melody comes out of her door wearing a beautiful red dress that makes the curves of her body show. You can't help but stare as she walks up to your car.

"Hello Kai," she says with a smile.

You snap out of your trance and get out of your car and do a short bow.
