Dinner is served, in the princes view
Chapter 3: The strange ritual called dinner
I walk next to the princess annoyed, after all our species weren't meant to be with each other! I mean she's BLUE for gargios sake! Sighing to myself, I walk to the dining area with the princess, before asking" So what is this ' dinner ' thing anyway? Is it some kind of sacrificial offering or something?" smirking at his own joke about their lack of knowledge. I smiled seeing her reaction, which was a glare of pure hatred, if only looks could kill right? " No, it's where we feed. What, does your species not eat because your lack of motivation to open your jaws?" she said while staring at me as if to say ' how dare he?! ' My smirk fades as she insults our kind over something as petty as communication" I'm surprised your apes even listen to you, maybe that's why they can barely hold their own in simple combat" I say implicating their species mates, used to the lowest implication of the word. She storms ahead for a moment before reaching the dining room.
I sit across from her, not even pulling her chair out for her as she pulled it out and sat down in front of me. Realizing her species didn't eat the same thing ours did, we already bought several of their species finest cooks, making sure the treaty stayed in effect so the king wouldn't lose his temper and blow up their pathetic planet. Watching as they brant out a squid like thing, I looked away in disgust as she devoured it. I did sneak a couple peaks as I was curious about their eating habits, observing every now and then. This one would last longer as she appeared to have a healthy appetite, something I admired in our species since most females ate like a prehistoric avian that was called ' birds '. She glanced up and I quickly dug around on my meal, which was just oil mixed with a tad of water. Drinking some, I pushed it away and tapped my cup lightly to signal our staff that I was done, them quickly arriving and walking away with the chalice. I wait for the princess to be finished, wondering what took her species so long, but then again they had to chew their food." Finished?" I said slightly annoyed at her table manners, which wasn't really that bad, but she didn't follow his example so he tapped her side of the table after she was finished before walking towards the door, stopping till I heard her feet, which were surprisingly softer than mine on the floor. Walking to our room, we both were quiet as she apparently wasn't in the mood after dinner. Entering our room, I shut the door.
