UPDATE: i have fixed the double post issue with this chapter

As their Ship neared the capital of Milan on the coast of Agualica, Rose and Malcalm both rose to the deck of the ship. Rose narrowed her eyes from the brightness of the sun as she looked towards the looming coastal line of their destination. As her eyes adjusted, the otter who had informed of their proximity was watching the coast line, preparing to toss over the rope to tie the ship down to port. She obviously hated light. Being an assassin, she grew to loathe this time of day. Too much light to expose her activities, harder to hide her actions; needless to say, she felt very vulnerable at Sun up.

"So, what's the plan?" she asked Malcalm.

"First," he began while rubbing the long tuft of fur on his chin, "we will be meeting Father Briar. You remember him right?"

Rose nodded, "He was there when I first gained consciousness. He told me if he didn't find me I would have died."

Malcalm closed his eyes softly as though he were reminiscing of that day. "He's right."

"You never told me how bad of shape I was in when you found me." She said sternly, as though requesting an answer.

"Let's just say Azell was on your side that day." He replied.

"You always say that. That means one of two things: I was either near death or in danger of dying, or you had something to do with my situation." She said.

I trained her too well he thought to himself as he moved towards the front of the ship. "I assure you the latter is further from the truth."

"Then what was my condition?" she asked persistently.

He turned and gave her a fatherly look, as though he really wanted to tell her, but couldn't. "I will let Father Briar tell you the story once we get to his church in Lioden..."

Eventually, the ship came to port on the docks. The city was bustling with activity of the common folk as Malcalm and Rose stepped off the boat as they made their way to the main city. They stopped where the dock meets land and slowly turned to each other. Malcalm pulls out a small leather coin purse and smiled.

"Here's a little money, I know how you fancy going to Apothecaries in different cities for those special little dagger sheaths you have. We may need it." He said.

"And what are you going to do?" she asked.

"I am going to the cartographer's," he said calmly. "We would not like to get lost in the middle of nowhere after all!"

She calmly nodded and began walking down the street slowly, quickly getting lost within the crowd. This was what she was good at, disappearing. She quickly blended into the crowd as she quickly made her way through the city unnoticed or at least she thought for the moment. Her movements through the crowd were fluid and discreet. As soon as she made it down one of the dark alleyways, she felt eyes upon her. She kept wary as she began hearing footsteps against the cobblestone street that paved the alley.

"Rose!" She heard from a familiar voice.

She felt a hand suddenly clench her shoulder from behind. She quickly grabbed the hand and quickly wrenched the arm it was attached too before she slammed the body it belonged to against the wall. She grabbed her dagger and quickly placed it against the man's throat, finally seeing who her would be attacker would be. It was a young black wolf, garbed in a green hooded cloak and leather armor similar to her. On his back, he had a bow and quiver of arrows and a pair of long swords at either sides of his waist. She recognized the wolf, but did not keep that blade from his throat.

"Listen to me you buffoon!" she growled through her teeth. "If you blow my cover I swear I slit your throat and leave you to die in the ocean! Do you understand me Isaiah?!"

The wolf smirked a bit and chuckled, "Why I chose to call you down an abandoned alley way." He said coyly.

She growled even louder as she placed the dagger closer, so that he could feel the sharpness of the blade. "So help me Isaiah..." She stopped when she got closer and looked down. It was obvious the wolf was getting off on the situation, as his pants began tenting. "Dear Azell what the hell is wrong with you?!" she screamed as she quickly slammed the wolf's back against the brick wall.

"What can I say..." he said with a shrug, "That tough girl attitude turns me on Rose."

"You listen and you listen well," she said scoldingly after she placed her dagger back into her sheath. "From this moment on, you have to call my 'Maya' I'm under the guise of a personal guard for an elder man Got it?!"

"You seem unhappy to see me dearest," he said mockingly, "What could it be that I would anger you so?"

"Number one, you're a bloody pig of a man who thinks of nothing but sticking that wanker of yours into anything with a vagina! Second, you draw attention to yourself to the point to where it would be impossible to do what I need to do."

"Oh here we go again with what happened in Nival!" he groaned loudly, "when will you ever forget what happened in Nival?!"

"The day when my fur fails to carry the scent of Nival Dragoon's powder!" she replied angrily.

She then quickly departed in hopes to lose him, but to no avail. She dipped through every alleyway she could to try and avoid him, but she forgot one horrible truth. Isaiah was a ranger, and extremely adept at tracking down his quarry. As she finally stopped to return his sexually hungry gaze, she huffed and pulled out the coin purse.

"How much do you want so you can go to the whore house?" she sighed in agitation.

"None." He said with that sly smile on his muzzle. "I require a one night stand with you my dear, and if you say no, I will follow you until you say yes."

"No wonder you're wanted in several countries." Rose sighed heavily, returning the purse to the bag upon her belt. "Alright, follow me, you have to keep my cover up, and on top of that, you have to aid us if we are attacked... Deal?"

"Of Course!" he said with a wider smile, "I would never allow anything to happen to my lovely lady in red and black!"

Rose rolls her eyes and once again made her way towards the apothecary. Luckily, the apothecary had the very poison in which she desired. It was a special poison brewed with a special type of seaweed in which only can be found on the shores of Milan. This was called Frigid Agony. The poison was designed to attack the central nervous system, causing extreme pain throughout the body, caused through the manipulation of the body's nervous system to literally start attacking it's self, rending her victims in a painful heap on the ground. She gently poured the poison into the special pouch that was designed to coat the blade with the poison for at least 15-20 strikes. The two finally regroup with Malcalm at the edge of town. Malcalm had a very stern look on his face as he noticed the new comer.

"Maya, who might you're friend be here? You said you knew no one here in Milan?"

"Relax, Malcalm" she said as they approached, aware of no one around them to hear their voice, "He knows who I am, but he's a friend... so to speak."

With that, the wolf gave a bow to the rat in a jester-like fashion, "Isaiah Loomis, Hunter, Ranger and Tracker extraordinaire!" he said.

"A Ranger, I see..." Malcalm said thought as he rubbed the fur under his chin in pondering.

"Don't need to ask, he's not leaving until he fucks me." Rose said nonchalantly.

"You wound me my fair maiden!" said Isaiah as he playfully clutches his heart. "You let that woman speak her mind like that around you elder?"

"Yes, she does have a mind of her own..." the rat chuckled lightly. "It's good we have a ranger; apparently, the cartographer was out of maps to Lioden. We must be in luck."

Rose rolls her eyes and shook her head. Yeah... lucky as Mikah! She thought angrily.

"Lioden?!" Isaiah said suddenly. "Why I was heading there already. I have to meet with a supplier there, I am running low on arrows."

"Arrows?" Malcalm asked as he raised an eyebrow. "They have arrows here in Milan..."

"Oh but they don't have MY arrows" he replied coyly. "Shall we be off?"

As the trio started walking down the road to Lioden, they were unaware by another pair of eyes watching them. Stepping out from the shadows stepped a robed arctic fox. His leather armor was snow white like the fur on his muzzle. His armor also had a hood which covered most of his face, leaving his muzzle to jut out from under the hood. He held no expression on his face as he looked to the Raven on his bracer, then looking quizzically to the direction of the trio whom had just left.

"Lioden huh?" he calmly said to himself as he flicked his wrist to reveal a hidden blade on the palm side of his forearm. "Rose you're a fool to return there..."

He then retracted the blade and began his trek to follow the three with a purpose. One that is currently unknown even to him at this point.
