I found that I slept a lot,I slept on the whole ride on the helicopter. Exveemon placed my head on his chest,which got some looks from the other passengers I was told. But when I woke up they didn't care. The base was just like it was,a building in the middle of nowhere. We all filed in onto the single elevator,and down to the control room. There we where met by the General and the president. The General did not seem pleased at our return,or so it looked like slightly. The president was amazed though. He complemented us the whole way.
Though then he asked what happened. Exveemon was more than happy to explain what we did. Though I stayed silent. I always dreamed of being the hero,but now it felt like just a word. I shook my head at the part when we turned back into myself and Exveemon,and listened while Exveemon told them about the power we needed to maintain that form.
By that time,i just wanted to be alone. Not pestered by our surprisingly curious leader,and a semi hating General. So once we where done,i urged that we where tired and needed rest. Exveemon caught on and also said the same thing. The president even though he wanted to ask questions let us go,sending us back to our room. We took the elevator,and got to our room and opened the door. I was greeted by the sight of Rachel the scientist doing something inside.
"What are you doing?"I asked
I startled her and she jumped,but turned around and blushed."Um nothing,nothing,just uhh you know tidying up the place?"She seemed to half tell half ask herself
"yea,umm where you really cleaning our room or where you doing something else?"Exveemon asked with a not amused look on his face.
Rachel sighed."look I know what you two have been doing,I know you both are more than friends and I wanted samples,what better place to look than your room."She said looking ashamed
"How did you know of our relation?"I asked
"Well I may have,uhh spied on you when you...You know......Had sex."She said
I felt myself blush and Exveemon did as well."You saw that?"I asked
"Well when you first roared,that first night I wanted to check it out,but I was too late,and you know how that went,so when you last went into the room I sorta spied on you.....Look im sorry its your life and I shouldn't have done that....Is there any way you can forgive me?"She asked
"Just don't do it again,and maybe ill help you with your....um studies."Exveemon said"Though why didn't you do it as soon as we left?"
"Well I didn't know you left until today,i heard about the soldiers,and the incident,but I thought you didn't leave."
I nodded,"Look can I just go,I think you think that I have done enough."She said
I just stood out of the way and allowed her to leave. Exveemon sighed,and I sat down on the bed,feeling like I had been violated or something. I looked at Exveemon,and he just shook his head and sat down on the bed. We where both feeling embarrassed. I could tell because he was still blushing. But soon he got out of it,and hugged me close.
"We really need to do something about these people."Exveemon said
"Well they are just trying to be nice,just I wish they where not so curious."I said
"Well we are alone now,what do you want to do?"Exveemon asked me
"Well I was thinking since we are alone,and no one will bother us,if we could.... Have sex."I said
Exveemon smiled,then he hugged me closer and kissed me on the lips,sliding his tongue into my mouth. We kissed like that until we where out of breath then I felt something. It wasn't our arousal,but something else. I turned around and blushed again. Ron was standing at the doorway,with a shocked expression on his face.
"Ummm hi,uhh next time ill knock,i thing im going to go to the gym."He said before quickly leaving before we could say anything.
"That was awkward,maybe we should wait."I said
"Agreed,why don't we go and explain this to the poor man."exveemon said
I just nodded.
It didn't take long to get to the gym,just a short elevator ride,and in a few minutes we where there. The gym was empty,besides us,and Ron who was sitting in a corner facing away from the door. He looked like he was having trouble lifting some weights.
We walked up to him,and he turned around. He blushed,and instantly turned away. I felt awkward. But I still poked.
"Umm Ron? Look me and Exveemon are,well,in love,and well we have been for a while,and ummm yea."In said
"And we well probably should have made sure we where truly alone,but we just wanted to say that we still want to be friends."Exveemon continued.
Even though we where never really friends I continued.
"Yea we hope that our relation will not come in the way of that,and we are sorry."
Ron shook his head."I was always taught that things in life are not always what they seem,that there are sometimes hidden meanings. I guess that's your hidden meaning,but I wont let it get in the way,i can see you both love each other,its just an inter-species relationship? I don't know,i was taught that things like that where wrong,but I don't know in your case,because Exveemon you are actually intelligent and not a dumb animal. But there are people out there who would shun you two for that,plus being gay."
I sighed."We know,but we don't care,we just want to be happy."
"Thats good,but lets start from a different angle,I would like to be your friend, Ever since my so called friends made me walk up ton you two,In a way im glad they made me do it,but I also found they aren't my friends anyways."Ron sighed."I will accept you for who you are,and in fact I praise you for what you can do that I can never do."
"What do you mean?"Exveemon asked
"Well you have a relationship that is better than most couples on this planet,every time I tried to get into a relationship with another woman,it didn't work out."Ron said
"Oh,well im sure there will be someone out there,you just have to search."I said
"I just wish something like that could happen,you know just appear. I guess you got lucky,because the chances of that happening are one in an uncountable number. I hope I will be happy like you two some day...But enough about that. I wish you two luck,and I heard about what happened,i guess you two will be more than just lovers and im happy for you."
I smiled and so did Exveemon."We just want this war over so we can live a peaceful life."We both said
Ron smiled as well."Well I hope that happens too,we all do,we don't want war,we just want peace,an d maybe with all our combined efforts that will happen. Anyways I need to get back to my guard shift,ill see you two later,maybe at dinner."Ron said before leaving.
I watched him leave,then once he was gone I looked to Exveemon."So what do you want to do?"I asked
"Well why don't we go find Rachel,and see if we can help with anything,i think it would be good to make some more friends."Exveemon said"Plus she wants to study me,But if she asked to examine me in full Ill be damned and leave."
I laughed,knowing what he meant,but I got up from my sitting position and headed to the elevator with Exveemon. We headed back to the floor with our room,but instead of going into our room we continued down the hallway. There where several doors and windows,all showing rooms with medical and scientific stuff I had no idea what they where. But eventually we came to one that was lit up and inside was Rachel.
We walked inside,and startled her and she dropped a small vial."Dammit."She cursed
"Sorry but we thought we could help you with your studies,you said you wanted to examine Exveemon. Right?"I asked
"Oh yes Blake,Exveemon good to see you,just sit down over there in those chairs,ill get the equipment."She said rummaging through a small drawer. Eventually she pulled out common medical things like a stethoscope and some needles."All right Blake,could you take off your shirt,i want to get some examinations from you too."
I looked at her."Why?"i asked
"Because I want to see if any changes happened to you,i just learned about your little transformation and I want to see if that has effected you in any way,don't worry ill just listen to your lungs and heart and maybe draw some blood,don't worry im a profesional."
"I thought you where a scientist."Exveemon said
"I am,but I also got my medical degree. Now hold still Blake."
Rachel Put on the stethoscope and placed it to my chest after I removed my shirt. She moved it around a few times and then she wrote down something on a small clipboard. Then she did the same with my arm,checking my pulse. Exveemon watched patiently.
"Well your pulse and lung breathing are OK but I want to draw some blood,but first Exveemon would you please?"She asked
"Of course."
Exveemon sat still while she did the same to Exveemon and wrote down some results. Then she pulled out a small needle and tube,and approached me.
"There will...."
"Just be a sting,yes I know I've had blood drawn all my life."I said
"Good,then you know what will happen,now hold still and this will be more pleasant."She said before checking for a vein in my arm and cleaning it with a small cloth. She then pushed the needle in,i winced a little but it was otherwise just a small pain. She drew my blood in the small tube,once she as done she got another tube disconnected the one she was using after sealing the needles point that connected to the vial and placed another tube onto the needle drawing another vial full.
Once she was done she pulled the needle out and put a small cloth on top of the wound and wrapped it in place."Good now Exveemon your turn."She said Exveemon looked at her and then to me. Then Rachel did the same checking for a vein,which she surprisingly found and drew his blood in two vials. Then she wrapped the wound.
"good this could be very interesting,you two where great,now I just have to analyze the blood,and see what I find,oh and if I could could I see the digivice for a second?"She asked
My eyes went wide,The digivice,i had completely forgotten about it,i searched my pocket,and was relived when I found it in there. I pulled it out and handed it to Rachel. She didn't do much just examined the hull then handed it back to me. "Ok well im going to look at this under a micoscope and see what I find. This will take some time,so I suggest you.."She looked at a clock on the wall."Well you might as well go get some dinner,its around that time,I'll meet up in a bit."
I just shrugged and looked at Exveemon,he just shrugged as well and we left the room. We made our way down to the elevator and punched the floor to the mess hall. Then I realized how hungry I was,i hadn't eaten for a while,and Exveemon seemed to notice this in himself as well. I smiled and waited till we got to the mess hall.
There where looks,and stares,but we where relatively ignored. We simple got our food and looked for Ron or someone we knew. We soon found Ron as he was waving to us from a table in the corner. We walked to him and sat down.
"so what have you two been doing?"Ron asked
"Well we went to see Rachel,you know the scientist and she gave us a small examination and drew some blood."I said
"Then we just left and came here,so it was uneventful,luckily we haven't stumbled across the president or that General."Exveemon finished for me.
"Oh well I haven't had anything happen,just stood in place for a while guarding things."He said
I nodded,and started eating my food,we mostly sat in silence,but after a good ten minutes we heard the sound of someone sitting down and I looked up to find Rachel sitting next to Ron She looked excited.
"Whats up with you?"I asked Rachel
"You know your blood that I analized? Well under a microscope I found something,there are small microorganisms that I have never seen before or heard about,do you know what this means? It means that there is a possibility you have digimon blood in you,a possibility due to you fusing together with Exveemon."
"Well so..."
"So this means that this is a big discovery,and I found that the microorganisms where doing something but I couldn't find out what because they soon died after I checked on them. I want to test something,your not going to like it."Rachel said
"Um ok what is it...."
Rachel grabbed my hand and pointed my palm upwards then quickly made a small cut with a clean knife.I yelled out"goddammit why did you do that?!"I yelled.
She just pointed to my palm. I looked down and was surprised to see that the wound was quickly healing itself,i watched as skin mended itself and made it look like my hand was brand new. I looked in awe and turned my hand around.
"Ok what just happened?"i asked
"Your wound just mended itself the microorganisms did what I thought they would do and healed you."Rachel said
"But I thought you didn't know what they did."I said
"Well I had my guesses,plus before they died they where repairing any broken blood vessels,i don't know how but they did it."She said"if im right you have advanced healing."She said
"But I never had that happen,why does it happen to Blake?"Exveemon said
"I don't know,it must be a reaction to the DNA or blood or something, I will have to research more and eperiment,they died when exposed to outside air,but the ones in the vial are still thriving so don't worry about me having to take more blood."Rachel said
Ron stayed silent the whole time,but he looked at me in awe,Exveemon was surprised and Rachel still held that excited look on her face. I was worried I don't know why but I was.
"If Blake has regeneration,how fast is it with major wounds,can he survive something like that?"Ron asked
"i don't know there are to many what ifs,ill have to check."rachel said
"Hey your not planning on hurting him are you?if you are ill personally make your life a living hell."Exveemon stated coldly
"Oh uhhh me no... I didn't mean to hurt him I just.....Oh look at the time,i have to leave,got things to attend to and such."Rachel said slowly moving away with a weird look on her face. Exveemon growled,and Ron was confused. I was scared.
We soon finished our meals and Ron said goodbye before returning to his shift. Me and Exveemon headed back to our room. The short trip was uneventful and we didn't really talk until we where alone. Once we where alone though Exveemon walked to the bed and patted the bed for me to sit down on.
"Well what do we do now?"I asked sitting down where Exveemon patted.
"Well I don't know I just wanted to spend time with you,and hopefully get some sleep,im tired"Exveemon said
I just nodded. Soon we where in each others arms and mildly playing with each other to an in-explicate extent We didn't do much mores and soon I found myself drifting to sleep. When I woke again it must have been early in the morning. Exveemon was sleeping with his arms around me snoring slightly. When I moved he woke up and gave me a quick good morning and a kiss. Everything was all right. But the unfortunate part was when you remember in those early hours. The war,the death, the fighting. It all came back like it always did,at least I had Exveemon.
We both got up and I dressed,i wasn't feeling hungry and neither was Exveemon so we skipped breakfast. We had nothing to do. That is until we got our wake up call from none other than the president himself. He was quick to barge into our room and want to see us. Then he left,and we where left wondering what he wanted. But we made our way down to the control room anyways.
The workers and soldiers their seemed to be more relaxed than usual,was that a good thing though? Anyways we ignored them and sought out the president who was standing in front of a hologram of the earth. He seemed pleased. Then he turned to us.
"Good news the battles in the east are going well met with heavy resistance but triumphed over."He said
"Ok thats good,but what about us?"I asked
"Oh and I think we may have a way to solve your energy problem,or at least charge the digivice some,we have a backup generator for the backup generator that you could probably use to charge it,allowing you two to become Paildramon again."he said
"Ok but what if it ends up bringing the whole base down again wont that be a problem?"Exveemon asked
"Oh no,we found a way to convert that power into a small USB port that you can plug the digivice into,so you don't have to drain the whole base of energy it will probably take some time but its worth a shot."
"Oh ok well where is this backup generator?"I asked
"Oh thats on the lowest floor,i suggest you make your way there and see what you can do,oh and one more thing the blood samples we got from you seem to be working wonders,we might be able to find cures to diseases that where previously incurable."The president said
"You know about that?"Both me and Exveemon said at the same time.
"Oh yes Rachel told me just last night,she is still working on it though and we have a ways to go so don't expect anything soon."
I just nodded and turned around to go back to the elevator. Exveemon followed and we soon punched in the button for the lowest floor,which we had until now not gone to. We waited as it took a few seconds,but we got there. We where met by a room that was surprisingly dusty,and not as well looking as the other floors. But we went inside and where met by an amazing sight.
"That's a big generator."I said when I saw it Which was right as I couldn't see the end of it There where moving parts everywhere,I didn't look long though as I knew this was the main generator,we had to find the backup backup one the one that was probably just there in case of extreme emergency's. We looked around and it was actually easier to find that I would have thought. There was a door for the backup generator and we went there finding another really big generator,and just past that was another unmarked door.
We entered and where met by a slightly smaller generator,but it was easy to recognize that this was the backup generator for the backup generator.
"Who has a third generator?"I asked
"Apparently the military do,but im not complaining."Exveemon replied
I just shook my head."Well lets find that port."
We looked around examining the moving parts and smooth surfaces. There didn't seem to be any port that I could use. We searched for a good ten minutes before we found it. It was near the back of the generator where some wiring had been rewired to a small device that sat on the floor. The device looked like a standard electrical cord except it had a USB drive.
"Well I guess that's it."I said and Exveemon nodded. We walked up to it and I fished out the Digivice from my pocket. Then we both sat down next to it and I slowly plugged the digivice in. Nothing happened. I looked at Exveemon for help but he just shook his head confirming that he had no idea what to do.
"Umm so now what?"i asked
"I don't know."He said"But we had better find out,maybe if you press some of the buttons something will happen."HE suggested
"I looked at the digivice which was attached to the USB drive,I looked across the screen and it showed a blank,i looked it over and finally decided to just press a random button,this random button was on the front to the left. I pushed it and the screen came to life. IT showed the usual data stream of numbers. I guessed that it did nothing but activate the device. So I pushed another button this one in the very center.
The screen blinked off and then came back on this time with a blank stage like area that housed nothing. I guessed this was a way to view Exveemon when he was inside. Then I decided to re press the one on the side to the right like I had when I sucked all the energy out of the base. I hoped for the best. Instead of causing the whole base to lose energy it started receiving energy from the generator without taking all the energy from any other generators. I smiled in success and Exveemon grinned.
"Ok now that that worked what now?"I asked
Exveemon grin disappeared."I don't know maybe it take time to charge,we might as well wait."He said
"Well I don't know if I really want to wait....."
"Charging done."I heard a new voice say
I looked to the digivice,it had spoken in a computerized voice telling us that it was fully charged."Charge at 200 percent, peak at 200 percent."The device said
"Ok so now I guess we disconnect it."Exveemon said
I nodded and pulled the device off. I didn't feel any different and the device held a normal glow to it. I looked to Exveemon but he just shrugged."Well now I guess we return to the president and tell him the good news."
I agreed and stood with Exveemon. And we left. We made it back to the control center,and found the president. He raised an eyebrow when he saw us.
"Well did it work?"he asked
"Yea and it charged rather quickly,its a 200 percent right now and that's the maximum,i think."I said
"have you tried it out again?"HE asked
"Well no we haven't frankly I don't know what buttons to press,and nothing really happened this time,I don't know how to turn back into paildramon,ill have to tinker with the device more."I said
The president nodded."Well then get to it this could save lives you are free to go back to the surface to try it out,but don't stray too far,we need you here."
I nodded and headed back to the elevator,Exveemon followed as usual. We punched in the top floor and where soon in the office building. We passed everyone and no one stopped us. We soon made it outside and into the open. We decided to head to the unused ground that was around the base. Then once there I pulled out the digivice again.
"Well here goes nothing."I said before pressing another button I hadn't pressed before. This button was on the top of the digivice the only one there. I pushed it and the device started glowing. I looked at it as if hoping something would happen. Nothing really did. It just glowed. I tried comeing in contact with exveemon but that did nothing. Then I looked on the screen but it was blank.
"Well that sucks,nothing happened."I said and turned to Exveemon. Exveemon looked to be in pain and I dropped the device as soon as I saw this. "Exveemon whats wrong?"I asked
"I don't know,but I feel rage,and anger I feel hate and anguish."HE managed to squeeze out of his teeth. He looked angry,and he did look in a lot of pain. I walked up to him And tried to help,but he pushed me away."i don't feel right,i...I...I want to kill,and destroy."He said with the last part sounding really evil.
"Exveemon are you OK?"I said in a weaker voice But he just ignored me."Exveemon?"I managed to squeeze out.
He started laughing,at what I didn't know."Exveemon answer me please."I wispered. But he didn't hear me. Then I remembered the digivice,and picked it up from off the ground,i started looking it over and the screen came to life. It said all my answers in an instant,with one word. Evolution.
I watched As exveemon started to grow,and change not into paildramon,but into something much bigger and scarier. Armor surrounded his new body,with huge claws made of a gold like material that I knew as chrome digizoid. The claws extended wall past a few meters. Then Black armor surrounded his blue body and locked in place. There was also a helmet that looked like a skull of some digimon that was white with a red bottom. His eyes turned red and glowed slightly. His wings turned red and extended well past it original length. And finally it had a jet like engine on its back.
"Exveemon?!"I said in a voice that I could just barley hear.
The monster that was previously Exveemon roared so loud it shattered the nearby offices windows and made me cover my ears. My head hurt and the beast turned to me. I found myself on the ground with the digivice at my feet. I started to back away when he took small steps towards me with a growl plastered on his face."Exveemon it me. Blake,your friend,please I love you don't hurt me."I said
The beast that was Exveemon gave another roar,and lunged at me. I thought it was the end for me,but instead of killing me it snatched me up in forlegs and took off into the sky the jet on its back roaring to life as he protected me from any outside elements as he reached a higher speed.
