A Dragon's Search
This is my first attempt at poetry. o.OI've honestly taken little interest in it and have rarely read any prose, so this should be interesting. XDPlease leave a comment or review, telling me how I can improve. ^.^ A Dragon's Search My body of scalesMy wings in flight,I look down on the worldAnd fly through the night. With my wings stretched out far,I glide with the wind,Rising above the cloudsIn search for my kin. I've searched far and wideBut to no avail.For my kin is lost,Except for this lonely male. With the essence of time flying by,I soon lose hope.With my race doomed to die,I find it impossible to cope. Insane or sane,I find it hard to tell.My mind is deterioratingAnd bringing me further into Hell. But I will never give upI will never lose faithI will continue searchingAnd soon give chase. For I know she's out thereSearching for this drake.I can't be alone,For we have to continue our race. With the moon at my backAnd a renewed vigor,I fly faster than ever beforeKnowing I will soon find her. My beautiful dragoness,Whom I will love and cherish,For no one is as deservingAs the one of my only wish. Thanks for reading! =)
