#2 of Short Stories

A short story i wrote for my Mate, it has gaps in the story line on purpose. Would appreciate suggestions, comments, and criticisms to help further my writing ability and the story. Thanks, and hope you enjoy!

As the Moon shines down upon the world, as the Sun throws light into the darkness. So too does Time circle on casting it's long and ominous tendrils over the universe. All is subject to it, and no man nor woman can stop this untouchable being from its cruel game. This is the knowledge of the Scholars, even the wisest of which only lie in wait as it slowly wastes them away. Yet, there are those who would scoff at Time, and refuse to play it's game, they have been called, The Travelers.

-------------------------------------------------~\>\>\>\>\>\>\<\<\<\<\<\<~-------------------------------------------------

The moon shone down upon the plains, shadows of the night clouds aided the wind as they danced upon the long grass, lending it the look of a small lake lapping calmly against the hills. There in the shadows of the meadow slept a herd of deer, they slept in a pile trying to conceal themselves within the tall grass. Desmond gazed upon them, his mouth beginning to salivate as the thought of his first meal in days was so near. The Husky hybrid sat in silence ontop of a hill downwind from the deer, his ears, that of a fennec fox, picking up the snores of their deep sleep. He had been hunting for days not allowed to return to the pack until he had finished his right of passage. He had never been the best hunter in the pack, and so this was taking longer than most other males took. He knew he would still not fully be accepted but he didn't care right now, he just wanted to finally be able to eat something.

He slowly moved down the hill, taking care to stay below the grass as he slowly strung his bow. He continued to sniff the direction of the deer and listening to make sure they were still there and were unaware of his presence. As he got within range of the deer he stopped, reaching to his back where his quiver was he paused. Frozen in self-induced shame and anger as he realized his quiver and arrows were still up on the hill, in his excitement for the kill, he had left in too much of a hurry. He cursed under his breath, as he debated turning back to grab his arrows, or finding another way to kill the deer, crouching just within bow-shot of the nearest doe.

His nose twitched slightly as he sensed a change in smell, a twig snapped nearby and suddenly he smelled blood. It was coming from the direction of his prey, in confusion he stood up just enough to see through the grass. What he saw confused him, there in the middle of the sleeping deer who were now just awakening stood a tall figure. He couldn't make out who or what it was but that didn't matter, because now the deer had fully woken up and were realizing what had happened. They bolted towards him, not wanting to miss his kill, he pulled out his dagger and waited watching and measuring the gaps the deer made as they ran.

The moon escaped the prison of the clouds and shown upon the scene making Dismond pause. What he saw was both unusual and breathtaking, his heart pounding within his chest he found himself unable to move. There stood a creature so beautiful and so intoxicating that he found himself frozen to where he stood. Then, in an instant she was gone, blocked out by the herd of deer racing towards him. He dove out of the way jumping out of the stampede he yowled in pain, as he felt a sharp pain shoot through his leg as he landed. Desmond looked down seeing a long gash running up his thigh, he gasped and gripped his thigh the pain shooting through him as he fumbled in his pack looking for something to help the bleeding. His vision began to blur and turn black when he felt someone grab his arms and pull them away from the wound. Suddenly his vision went black as he fell into a deep unconsciousness.

-------------------------------------------------~\>\>\>\>\>\>\<\<\<\<\<\<~-------------------------------------------------

Tears began to slide down her face as she attempted to rush the Husky Hybrid to her fathers hospital. She had been home alone attempting her Rashida alone, something she had been told to stay away from doing. Her father believed she was yet too young and hasty, and needed more practice, she now knew he was right. As she ran she looked down at the near dead Husky in her arms his tan and white fur now smudged with red, around her hastily done bandage. She stumbled up the steps to her father's hospital nearly dropping the husky as she burst through the doors.

"Johnston, please...I need help!" she begged the fox who was sitting behind the counter.

"What can I..." he trailed off as he looked up at her and saw what she was carrying. Immediately he grabbed the gurney from the room behind the counter and rushed it out to her, instructing her to place her injured charge on the top as he strapped him down.

"Can we save him? He has already lost so much blood." she asked, concern leaking through her voice.

"He will be fine, just calm down, and go sit in one of those chairs, the surgeons will be able to fix him up. You did well by trying to stop the bleeding." Johnston tried to console her as he handed the gurney over to the doctors and nurses who then rushed the bleeding patient off to the prep room.

The doors opened behind them, as her father came in. He stopped, shocked to see his daughter standing there in tears while Johnston was trying to get her to calm down. He let his shock slide to concern for what happened to his daughter to upset her so much.

"Aurora, my child, what's wrong? What happened?" He asked concern seeping through his voice as he walked over to her placing a fatherly hand on her shoulder.

"Father...I-I was Traveling alone...and I..um...I hurt someone from the outside."

Her father frowned. "Aurora, I have warned you against such things, but why are you here. You should have brought them to their own hospital."

"That's just it father...I..uh, I ran out of time, and had to bring him back here." she whimpered slightly tucking her tail between her legs as she saw her fathers emotions flare within him before he could veil them from her. "I-I couldn't just leave him so I brought him here. It was..."

He sighed and let his shoulders slump as he relaxed a bit. "It's alright, we have the finest doctors around, but due to the nature of his wound. I will sit in and make sure he lives, I am sure his travels to get here did not aid in his injury, they will need my help. We will talk about this later."

She nodded as her father walked past her and she collapsed onto a nearby chair. Her thoughts wandered and soon she was brought into the room where the Husky now lay resting. He was hooked up to so many machines, he seemed barely alive and tears began to fill her eyes once more.

"Will he live, Father? I don't know what I'd do if he died because I was not paying attention." she began to sob softly

"He will be fine, my dear. Give him some time, and our surgeons will be able to guide him back from near death. However, I can not stress enough how much you need to be more careful, next time you may not have enough time left to reach him, before you have reached your limits and must return."

"Yes Father..." She paused as she gasped. She had seen his hand move slightly towards where his cut had been sowed up. As she stood staring at it his eyes opened slightly and he began to choke, not understanding how to breathe with the pipe down his throat. His eyes grew wide as fear took a hold of him, and she stared in shock, frozen with desperation as he began to try and break free from the bonds that held him.

Acting quickly her Father turned a knob on one of the machines releasing a minor anesthetic into the Husky's body, allowing him to relax a little yet remain awake enough to speak. As the monitors settled down to their normal steady beeping and vocalized status updates she relaxed slightly her long tail flicking back and forth. She watched as her father examined him, making sure that all he had not reopened his wound in his struggle.

"You gave us quite a scare there, son. You should probably relax a little while that wound of yours heals up, ok?" realizing that the poor patient could not quite speak yet her father smiled slightly, "Just nod once if you understand, alright?"

Desmond nodded slowly, his thoughts were racing, what were all these fancy things around him making the obnoxiously loud noises? How did he get here? Last he knew he had been trying to fix a wound in his leg from when a buck's horn had gotten him. Trying to feel his wound he found that he couldn't move his arm his eyes widened once more when he heard the large leopard speaking again.

"It's ok, son, we have restrained you so you don't reopen your wound, for the time being we have it closed but you need to stay relaxed if you want it to actually heal. You are lucky my daughter acted quickly enough to recover you and bring you back here."

Seeing the confusion creep across the face of his patient the Doctor continued talking.

"You see, my daughter was taking her normal stroll through the forest outside our estates when she saw you laying there. She is naturally curious, and it often causes her to do things that she isn't supposed to do." he gave a quick glance at his daughter and motioned her to come near him. "However, in this case it happened to save your life."

As Aurora walked into view the monitors began to beep faster as his heartbeat picked up and his breath became shallower. Instantly he flashed back to the figure he saw standing above their kill, the same creature that had nearly caused his death. However he couldn't be mad about it, he just stared at her in complete and utter admiration for her beauty. He could see she was a Hybrid between a Snow Leopard, and an Arctic Fox, her long tail twitched back and forth behind her. Her skin shone white even though now there was no moonlight, her eyes that of a bright blue seemed to lock him into their gaze. He saw they looked watery and guessed she had been crying for some reason, not knowing they had been tears for him.

"Well, it seems that he has not seen a Snow Leopard Hybrid before, but it does seem he can breathe on his own, so we can take that tube out. Aurora, will you help me, please? It would be easier since it seems he can't stop staring at you." Her father winked and smiled slightly at his daughter causing her to blush, yet still she helped him remove the machine from the Husky's mouth.

Desmond gasped finally able to take in breaths on his own he tried opening his mouth to speak but this sent him into coughing fit.

"Calm down now, and take a deep breath, I'd really like to not put that tube back inside your mouth." coached Aurora's Father as he walked around and locked the door to the hospital room, looking up at the cameras he pulled a remote from his pocket and turned them off.

"What...what happened? Where am I? And what in the name of the Great Sun is with all this noise!?" coughed Desmond as soon as he was able, his ears beginning to pound as he was not accustomed to the constant loud beeping.

Aurora glanced at the ground as she felt her father's glare shift to her. "How far back did you go to run into this one?" he growled out, now unable to conceal his anger at her for breaking his rules.

"I-I don't really know, daddy. All I know is deer were not in reserves, nearing extinction, and men hunted with bows and knives." she glanced up just long enough to see his hardened glare turn from her to the Husky laying on the bed, and then back at her. His eyes narrowed to mere slits as he growled a bit louder in frustration.

Meanwhile Desmond sat back knowing when the Alpha was angry at a member of the pack it is best not to interfere. Then again, even if they had not bound him to this flat yet unexpectedly soft surface and then used this sound to ensure he did not act against them. As he watched a small bark escaped his lips as his patience grew thin and he flattened his ears against his head trying to block out the sound. The small bark let the others know he was still in the room and they turned to look at him.

"My apologies...uh, well I guess if you will be with us for awhile, we may as well introduce ourselves. I am a Snow Leopard, my name is Dr. Carson, and this is my daughter Aurora. Her mother was an arctic fox, and that is why her fur and parts of her face look similar to that of the fox. You are?"

Desmond paused, confused as to why the pack doctor seemed so concerned over him. Normally the pack's doctor would simply dress the wound and leave him with a couple recommendations for how to treat his wound. "I am Desmond, of the Northern Wolf Clan, of the Adronac Plains."

"Hmm, a wolf clan around this area would place you in roughly the 15th century." Dr. Carson sat down and began to think as the severity of the situation sank in. "It seems you are roughly 800 years away from home, Desmond. It will take some time to get you back to your time period. We currently do not know a Traveler who has the ability to bring you there for long enough to cement you back in that period."

"Father, I don't think he knows what you are saying." Aurora interjected placing a hand on her fathers shoulder and pointing at the clearly lost Desmond, still laying bound on the bed.

"Ah, yes I am sorry, let's see. Desmond, did your Northern Wolf Clan have a doctor, or warlock, or really any member that seemed to never age?"

"I-I am not sure actually. My family were adopted by the clan only a few years before my Rite of Passage Hunt. You see, I am not actually a wolf, and neither were my mother and father, so we were mostly shunned by the other members and I didn't spend much time with anyone."

Hearing this Aurora's heart fell, she naturally had a soft heart, and hearing this sad story only made her feel worse for what she had done to him. Tears began to form again and she turned away from them, moving to the far side of the room.

"Well, by the looks of your features I'd say you have some fox in you, and while it looks almost wolfish, your eyes betray you as a husky, am I right?" asked the Snow Leopard as he examined his patient, "And judging by your rather gaunt figure, I would say that unfortunately your hunt was not going well."

Desmond let his eyes fall to stare at his feet. "Yes, I am not the greatest hunter in my pack, but I was close to being able to return. I was about to get a doe when there was a bright flash and your daughter appeared...she took my deer and caused them to run, and that's how I got this gash on my leg." as he spoke he tried to move his arm to show the gash but found once more that he couldn't.

"I see, well, I will personally ensure that you recover, and then I insist that you stay at my home while we try and figure out how to get you back to your time." Dr. Carson stood up, turning the monitors down as far as he could. "I do apologize for the noise, to our ears we are much more used to the sound and we aren't much of hunters these days, so we do not have your level of acute hearing."

"I thank you for turning down that infernal noise, and thank you for your invitation to your cave. I do not think I deserve such kindness." Desmond bowed his head best as he could as he relaxed a bit now that the noise stopped.

"It's the least we could do, besides, it is our fault you are in this predicament." Dr. Carson turned towards his daughter and stood up walking over to her. "Do you mind if I leave you in charge for a short time? I have some work to attend to."

She nodded as she stifled her sobs, and went to go sit in a chair close to the bed. She watched the monitors closely as she refused to look directly at Desmond. She felt too guilty for what she had done to do anything else.

Sensing that she was upset Desmond tried to say something that might cheer her up, "If it helps how you're feeling right now...I wasn't about to finish hunting. I had left my arrows up on the hill, so probably would not have actually gotten the kill."

She looked up and gave him a small smile, slightly intrigued that he would try cheering her up after what she did to him, even though he doesn't know her. She couldn't help but let her tail wag slightly as she began to loosen his straps. "Since you are calmed down a little, I can loosen these so you can move a little, but you can't stand up yet."

"Thanks, they were starting to hurt a little, and don't feel bad, I had enough time to move, it's just hard to gauge how those deer will move sometimes, when spooked they tend to act abnormally." he smiled and sat up leaning against the wall he felt his wrists and arms where the straps had been. Flinching he looked down to where he saw the stitches where his wound had been, confused at the sight of the stitching normally seen on clothing used on his bare leg he reached down to touch it. Quickly, Aurora slapped his hand away.

"Don't touch! You may end up opening the wound again, and then you will be in more pain!" she yelped as she stood up in the excitement.

"I'm sorry, it's just I have never seen thread used on a person before. It has only been used in my cloth..." he paused, finally realizing that his clothes were no longer on him, aside from the small patch blocking his groin, which he was thankful for. This still caused him to blush, he had never been this bare in front of a beautiful woman before. Quickly he tried to change the subject, "so..um, how long until I am allowed to walk again?"

"Oh, um, normally it only takes about a week before you can walk with crutches or something to hold you up." she looked down at his wound, it had actually closed quite nicely, and she was reminded at the skill of her father. "It looks like it could be less though, my father did a good job in stitching you up, I wouldn't be surprised if he helped your muscles out as well somehow."

Desmond sighed slightly annoyed that it would be awhile before he could walk again, but still very grateful that these strangers were being so kind to him. Unable to think of anything else to say to her he closed his eyes just trying to gather his thoughts but before he knew it he drifted off to sleep. She sat there watching him as he did, thinking about the past events, and how kind he was even though they were complete strangers. Soon she too drifted off to sleep still thinking of the Husky Hybrid laying in front of her.

-------------------------------------------------~\>4 Days Later\<~-------------------------------------------------

"It seems you have healed up enough that you should be able to go home now, though I am curious as to where you are from, your clothing doesn't seem like it is from somewhere around here." asked the nurse as she inspected the now scar on his thigh.

"Oh, I am from up north, in the mountains." he flinched slightly and looked away at his blatant lie, but it was the answer that he was told to say by Dr. Carson. He had said it would help with the issue of where he was from and cause much less questions. "How, will I pay you back for all the nice treatment?"

"Up north huh? Well alright, I guess that would make sense, it is quite cold up there. As for your paying us, Dr. Carson has already taken care of it. He said your families were close and they had already worked out an arrangement." she smiled at him, as she handed him his now washed clothes. "Here let me walk you to the door, Dr. Carson and Aurora should be there waiting for you."

At the sound of her name he perked up slightly, she had been visiting him while he was stuck in this hospital, as they called it. She had been teaching him a few things that he would need to know in order to at least make it to their home, and helped prep him for the impending shock of his surroundings by pushing him around the halls letting him gaze out the windows. He heard a stifled laugh come from the nurse and he looked over to see her hand over her mouth as she tried to stop herself from giggling.

"What's so funny?" he asked his ears perked and tail wagging slightly, he cocked his head to the side giving off a full appearance of a very curious dog.

"Oh, it's just your appearance when I mentioned her name. Is that how you look every time you see her, or hear her name? It's kind of cute, I am surprised she hasn't picked up on how much you seem to like her." the nurse giggled again as she saw him blushing and trying to find an excuse for his reactions.

"Oh, umm, it's just that she has been so nice to me since I met her. I, am just thankful for her and her fathers kindness, is all." he blushed harder as he scratched the back of his head staring down at the ground completely embarrassed that the nurse was able to tell that just by the mention of Aurora's name.

She giggled softly before standing up and throwing the bandages away. She walked towards the door and opened it, as she she walked out the door she called back, "When you are finished getting dressed, just go ahead and open the door, and I will escort you to the front."

He nodded as the nurse closed the door, looking over he saw that his clothes had indeed been cleaned, and the necklace he had worn with the amulet of his parent's tribes had been polished, and restored to it's former status. He vowed he would make it up to his new found friends for all their kindness, he may not have anything now, but he was sure there would be a way he could help. He donned his clothes and stood up testing his leg first, it gave just a little as he stood on it letting him know he would need to limp for awhile longer while it got used to his weight once more. Walking over to the door he opened it and was surprised to see Aurora standing there talking to the nurse, Dr. Carson was off slightly to the side speaking with the doctor who had occasionally checked up on him when Carson was not available. As he closed the unexpectedly heavy door with a thud they turned and greeted him.

"How's the leg Desmond? I see you can walk on it now." asked Dr. Carson with his particular look of satisfaction he donned when there was success with his patients.

"It feels almost as good as new, it just needs to get used to my weight is all." replied Desmond taking a few steps to show them.

"Would you like a crutch to help you walk a bit?" asked Aurora trying to offer as much help as she could to him. "I could run and grab it for you."

Desmond blushed looking away and scratching the back of his neck to try and hide it, "Um, no thank you, you have already done so much I wouldn't want to bother you for that, I should be fine without it. Thank you very much for the offer."

Aurora blushed and looked away as well, as her father looked at her raising his eyebrow as the nurse giggled softly and whispered something to the doctor who began to chuckle as well. "O-ok, you're welcome."

"Here, let's get to the cab and get him home and settled into his room before dinner, he has yet to say hello to your mother." interjected Dr. Carson laughing as he could almost feel the awkwardness who's nature was left undetected by the two youths before him.

The group walked out of the hospital and each got into the cab, Aurora and Dr. Carson watching carefully, as Desmond tried to conceal his surprise, admiration, and curiosity as he gazed at his surroundings, his ears twitching at each new sound while they yet remained pressed to his head. He had not yet been accustomed to the loudness of the machinery. They helped him get buckled in, explaining he had suffered some minor head trauma and is recovering some lost memory as they drove home, the husky almost literally sticking his head out the window while he soaked in the new sites.

They soon arrived home, revealing a large house almost on par to one of the mansion of the time, but not quite as gaudy, the Doctor was actually quite well off and one of the best in the business. Desmond stood there gawking his mouth wide open at the splendor of where he would be living and immediately felt terrible for intruding upon such a high member of the pack.

"Sir, I-I couldn't possibly stay here with you, I would not be able to repay what I would owe you for your kindness. Please, there must be a much more suitable place that one of my stature may lodge while I repay you."

Dr. Carson raised his eyebrow, "Desmond, you need not repay me. After all you did nothing to get into this position, and it is I who am doing this to be hospitable to my guest. It would be unkind of me to place you in a room any less than my best."

"Sir, I don't mean to disrespect you at all, but I can not in good conscious accept this hospitality without some kind of repayment. I would gladly do anything I could to make it right." Desmond stood his ground, he may not be a wolf but he was taught their loyalty and respect. It was bred into him even before his family were taken in by the Clan.

Seeing he was unable to be swayed in this regard the doctor sighed, "Alright, son. I will let you work off your debt to me I will pay an hourly wage to you that will in fact come right from your debt. In the meantime, please accept my hospitality as I am offering you food and lodging in a possibly hostile environment for you. Would this be acceptable to you?"

"Yes sir, and thank you for understanding."

They walked inside and gave him a quick tour, Aurora followed behind watching the Husky in his native garb. He seemed to mark each turn they took, making a mental map of each room in the house, he asked her father to repeat himself, each time he did not understand. As they walked she found herself beginning to watch his tail move back and forth, and she realized his current garb would really only pass as underwear by most people today.

She gasped as she accidentally bumped into him, and realized he was watching her. She had not noticed they had turned around, she placed her hands on his chest to push away but paused. Why had she not noticed how muscular he was? His chest rippled with muscle built up from long days working on the plains, she looked down and could see his tunic barely contained the toned muscles of his arms.

"Um..Ma'am?" she heard him say before she blushed quickly removing her hands from his chest as she turned.

"Aurora, everything alright? You look a little flush, you aren't getting sick or something are you?" her father feigned concern, as he watched his daughter react to her somewhat embarrassing predicament.

"I-I am fine father, just feel a bit warm right now. I think I will go lay down for awhile, c-could you bring me some dinner when it is done?" she asked trying not to reveal her true feelings.

"Of course dear, it will be done soon, and we were just on our way to the dining hall to meet your mother there. If you really would not like to join us, I can have yours kept warm and brought up to you shortly."

She nodded and then slowly walked along to her room, trying her hardest to regain control of her thoughts. As the two males watched her go, they began to walk down a side passage towards the Dining Hall. They talked very little on the way, as the doctor tried to explain the proper dining techniques and that he may need to use silverware.

"Ah ha, It seems you have lucked out, Desmond! It seems that it is finger food tonight." joked the doctor as he saw the table with his wife sitting at it adorned with some Chicken fingers, Burgers, and Fries, and Chips. He walked over and kissed his wife softly on the lips before he finished with, "This is my wife, Christine. She has prepared us this meal, feel free to eat as much as you would like."

"It is nice to meet you, Ms. Christine, and I thank you for the delicious smelling food. How did you dress the meat in such a manner? I would like to learn it some day so that I may show my clan this delicacy."

"Oh? I may teach you one day then, but for now please let's eat I have been very busy, and am a very hungry fox." As she said this she dished out the plates passing them to their respective owners. Throughout the dinner they spoke of the events of the day and how Desmond would be working for them maintaining the house for them as a means to repay their hospitality. Everything was spoken of in short order up to a rather detailed explanation of where Aurora was and why, presented by her loving father. When his wife heard this she laughed softly much to the bewilderment of Desmond,

"Well, Mr. Desmond, would you mind bringing my daughters meal up to her. I truly have been rather busy lately, and my Husband and I would like to catch up a little. Oh, and could you bring the dishes to the kitchen, someone else will clean and put them away for you." asked the fox as she stood up and walked past her husband, "Come on dear, I have barely spoken to you these last few days."

"I will be there in just a minute my Wife." came the doctors response as he stood up and began to follow her. "Once you have finished my wife's tasks, feel free to explore or rest whichever would suit you more."

Desmond nodded as he began to pick up the dishes, taking care to leave a dish for Aurora. It didn't take him long to clean up the meal from the three of them, he was used to picking up after the whole pack. He began walking up to Aurora's room with the dish in hand, he found himself hoping that she was feeling better and worrying that he looked presentable before her. As he reached her door he paused for a minute as he did not know if she was sleeping, and he did not wish to wake her. Slowly he built up his courage and knocked gently.

"Aurora? I-I have your dinner, your parents asked me to bring it up for them. Are you awake?" he paused and listened quietly his ears pricked to make sure he didn't miss her answer. He heard a faint gasp come from inside. "If you would like, I can just leave it here for you, and you could get it when you are ready."

"N-No, that's alright..just a minute though. I-I am not dressed."

Hearing her say this his face immediately blushed as his mind raced, imagining things about her that normally only mates would know or even think about. His mind raced as the seconds dragged on and he fought to get his thoughts back under control. It only took a minute before she opened the door to find him standing there as the blush finished fading from his face. His thoughts back under control, her night gown did not help him much as he attempted to hand her the food his hands shaking slightly. Noticing his demeanor she blushed and tried to just take the plate, instead she stepped aside and asked him to set it on her night stand for her.

As he walked in she watched him closely as his tail twitched back and forth as he took in the surroundings of the room. She closed the door behind him and went to sit on her bed. "Thank you, for bringing me my meal. I-I apologize for you having to do work on your first day here."

"It is the least I could do for your kindness, and helping me get acquainted with this world a little while I was in your hospital." he arranged her food on the night stand for her as he spoke, and then stood there waiting to be dismissed as he should was accustomed to when bringing dinner to a higher pack member.

She blushed slightly not knowing why he didn't leave immediately after, but she enjoyed his company and kept a conversation with him. She learned much about him and his clans customs as they talked. Somewhere into the conversation she revealed to him how and why she had been there and he had gotten injured. She apologized profusely for it, tears beginning to form as she thought of how he had looked that night. Promptly he comforted her and assured her that he was not holding any grudges.

Months passed as Desmond worked off all that he owed them, and they searched for someone able to take him back to his own time. Desmond and Aurora grew closer and soon they couldn't pretend there was nothing between them. They began spending all their extra time they had together, Aurora's parents were always busy and so they generally had free roam of the house once he was done with his days work.

-------------------------------------------------~\>\>\>\>\>\>\<\<\<\<\<\<~-------------------------------------------------

The grass was just beginning to dew as Aurora and Desmond laid on a blanket there in the clearing of the forest, staring up at the starry night between the leaves. With one arm behind his head, the other was placed around her shoulder as he rubbed it gently, her head laying gently on his chest. She could hear his heart beating within as she curled up next to him. It was the Eve of the New Year, six months after they had met, they had fallen in love with that time, and had entirely forgotten his circumstances. As they lay there time seemed to stand still for them, he gently kissed the top of her head as she looked up at him and licked his muzzle making him squint and smile softly.

"I love you, my sweetest Aurora. It may seem odd, but it is moments like this that I am glad you found me after that buck gashed my leg." he smiled and winked at her as the event had now become a joke among the two of them. He kissed her lips softly, the kiss leaving a lingering feeling on their lips.

She smiled lovingly towards him, and then shifted around to look right into his loving eyes, "You know, I am too. You are one amazing Husky/Fennec, and I am so glad that I messed up my traveling that night." she pushed herself up and kissed him deeply feeling him kiss back as he put both his arms around her and hugged her tight.

Suddenly the night sky lit up as the fireworks began, they both turned to watch them. Desmond didn't watch them long, as he began to watch the expressions on Aurora's face, he had never seen fireworks before, and he thought they were loud, but beautiful. However, the light of the stars, and the coloration from the fireworks melded with Aurora's beauty casting her in an almost angelic light mimicking that of the Aurora Borealis, and entirely intoxicating him in her beauty. She realized he was watching her, and turned laying on her side and looking into his eyes still smiling as she giggled.

"What are you looking at? Didn't you want to see the show?"

"Oh...you are just so beautiful tonight, I can't stop thinking about you, and you are all I want to see." he blushed softly as he watched her, his eyes moved up and down her body fairly quickly as he said this.

His words, and him quickly checking her out made her giggle and fidget a bit as she blushed, leaning in towards him she whispered, "You are so cute, my Husky, I will love you forever."

Their faces slowly moved together it seemed of their own accord, until their lips met in a long deep kiss. As they pulled away breathless their hearts were pounding faster than they ever had before. They looked into each others eyes for just a moment longer before again they kissed, Desmond placing his hand to caress her cheek, leaned towards her. He propped himself above her as she now lay on her back, as they kissed, occasionally he would kiss her around her neck, as the intensity of the kissing began to increase.

His free hand moved slowly down her side to her thigh, as she felt his hand glide along her side as he kissed her neck she gasped. She bent her knee bringing her thigh up to his waist as his hand rested on it. He began to run his hand back up her body, and slipped it under her shirt grabbing one of her breasts as he again kissed her lips he felt her move beneath him as he gave a small squeeze.

He pulled away from her, as he caught his breath, "A-Are you sure...you want to do this?"

"Y-Yes, I-I love you...and I want to do this." she was breathing kind of heavily from the intense kissing, her heart pounding as much as his as she lay there looking up at him, she could see the burning passion, and desire he had for her.

He smiled and kissed her again, "I love you too, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you by my side."

He sat off and took his shirt off, the moonlight glinting off of his well toned chest and stomach, she let her hand move up to play along his chest, feeling his body and his heart pounding within his chest. As he rolled onto the ground and started sliding his pants off she got up and sat on his lap, as she lifted off her shirt exposing her fine perfect breasts still partly hidden within her bra, the moon glistening off her white fur making her look almost angelic.

She bent down and began to kiss him, as he kissed back he ran his hands up either side he reached her bra, and used one hand to slowly remove it while the other made circles on her back, moving closer to her butt with each circle. Her breasts now fully revealed he rolled her over back to her back, she gasped feeling the cold dew lending to the sensation of his kisses on her soft breasts. He kissed slowly around it her left breast as one hand massaged the other. As his kisses made circles on her breasts he got closer and closer to her nipples, his hot breath tickling them softly as he got closer sending a shiver down her spine.

He could feel his member growing within his boxers with each kiss, as he reached her nipple he placed it in his mouth, his tongue flicking back and forth as he sucked it into his mouth, tugging gently on it. His hand drifted slowly down her stomach, sliding between her panties, and her pants as he felt between her legs, he could feel that she wanted him as much as he wanted her. His fingers played between her legs as he felt her soft pussy through her panties, he started to slide down her body as he did so he kissed her. Slowly he moved down her, kissing and licking her body in a small, slow line.

He reached her pants and undid the button he was panting as he began to slide the last of her clothes off her body, using his tongue to lick her fur as it was exposed. He could hear her begin to moan as his tongue got close to her now exposed vagina, teasing her with its closeness he focused on sliding her pants the rest of the way off, before he leaned back up and kissed her lips. They lingered in the kiss before he moved back down her body, his hands running along it. He reached where his face hovered just above her sweet smelling nether region. His finger ran up and then down her slit as he lowered his lips kissing her warm, wet pussy. He sucked the lips into his mouth as he licked it, running his tongue up and down it as he did.

He licked her once more before he slid his finger inside her his tongue following behind, he heard her moan softly as she felt his finger and tongue begin to move inside her. He slide his finger in and out of her as his tongue vigorously flicked back and forth along her clit, as she pressed her hip towards him, gasping. He brought his lips away panting heavily his hot breath tickling her now soaked area, as he looked up at her he saw her heaving chest glistening in the moonlight her fur beginning to glisten with sweat.

"I-I am...going to..." he slid up as he slowly guided his fully grown member inside her. Her face contorted in passion and surprise as he began to slowly guide his six inches in and out of her, doing his best to not hurt her as it was both their first times. Suddenly it slid fully in as she gasped loudly and moaned reaching up wrapping her arms around his neck. He alternated looking loving, and passionately into her eyes, and looking down to make sure he was not hurting her as he began to slowly thrust his member deep within her.

"Fuck, I-it's so tight, I-it feels so good."

She moaned loudly as she felt him moving deep within her, "I-its so deep. I..I never thought..." she stopped unable to speak anymore as he began to pick his speed up a little. He was no longer able to control himself as he felt the cum build within him, she could feel his cock throbbed wanting to release its load.

"Au-Aurora...I-I think....I am about...to cum." he managed to gasp out inbetween his panting. His body glistened with sweet as he lifted himself off, his hand planted on her sides as he drove his cock deep within her, the full six inches penetrating her.

She gasped again feeling herself about to cum as well, her hands gripped his wrists her nails digging into his fur. "C-Cum inside me...please, I..want to cum with you.."

He looked deep inside her eyes and thrust one more time deep inside her as he cummed moving his hips back and forth as he let out his full load, feeling her warm cum slide down around his cock, her pussy too full to keep any inside it began to drip out as he pulled out of her and collapsed beside her his energy spent, he gasped her name.

They laid there for a minute, the last of the fireworks falling from the sky as he wrapped her in his arms and her close, her scent overwhelmed him as they laid there, their sweaty bodies pressed together. He kissed her softly as they began to drift asleep, tired from the physical exertions they had both just done. As their eyes closed they both silently swore to never leave the other for as long as they lived, and to always cherish each moment as much if not more than the night that had just passed.
