It was a beautiful morning the light of a reddish-orange sun shone across the the skies lighting the world with color, shaving of the cold dark night. The sun started to shine on Florida's oranges giving them there great taste. But the sun wasn't only shining on oranges, it was shining on a fuzzy white spotted face. Sean started to wake, he rolled around in his bed stretching, trying to make him-self feel "right". He stopped rolling and lied down on his tummy, he looked at his clock '7:00...damn I should sleep for another hour'. With a sigh Sean turned onto his back and tried to fall back asleep, but Jake had other plans. He burst into the room and forced Sean out of bed and into some cloths. "We're going Christmas shopping" he said as they flew out of the house for his black truck. Sean hoped into the passengers seat and drifted to sleep before they could even leave the drive way.
Drifting in darkness, floating over a mass of destruction. The smell of smooth smoke reached his nose as he looked on to the rubble of houses, crushed cars. Everything seemed to take on a demonic look to it. He landed on top of a house that was still standing, and from that house he saw a patch of heavenly light shining on a lush green field with beautiful flowers and trees, and ........ a set of stairs? Before Sean could walk closer to the patch, the ground shook violently. Sean left his dream to come back to his slightly nightmarish reality.
"Hey ..... HEY GET UP! Where here" Sean blunk himself awake to see that he was at the mall 'how in hell did i get here' he began to think, until he looked at the fur shaking him. He had a smoke in his mouth and he looked black with white spots,he had green eyes just like Sean and they looked alike except for the color of fur and age difference...and hight.'Oh! shopping..... thats whats going on....damn i don't want to shop, this is ganna suck i know it is'. reluctantly Sean hoped out of the black truck and started to walk with his brother into the mall.
They walked all through the mall and planed on going into many shops that sold perfumes, cloths, games, and computer items. The mall was a light with Christmas shopping, happiness and joy. Sean really was not in the mood to see all the happiness, he wanted to be at home to right in his book, but as he usually said "life's filled with things you don't want to do". He spent the day shopping for his family like most of the people there. As he shopped with a distaste for this whole ordeal, he didn't even notice that he was being followed. Secretly following him was a black wolf, he seemed to blend into the surroundings, not being seen by anyone. His icy eyes looking at the cheetah with an unquenchable stare, looking deep into the cheetah. "I like getting presents not buying them for others" Sean said as he walked right past the wolf with out seeing him.
"Well i don't care what you like we already have the gifts for mom and dad" Jake snapped back, caring 3 bags filled with stuff for their parents.
"Well when can we go home i'm tired of shopping, and i'm kinda hungry" Sean said as his stomach started to growl.
"We can go once i can find this guy,"Jake said looking around,"In fact you can go eat at the food court right now while i look for him". Jake walked off toward sears and disappeared as a crowed of people swallowed him up.
Sean walked alone to the food court and slumped into a booth looking at his options. 'Submart.....no,Mc D , pizza hut, chick chunk,.....' his thoughts where interrupted as a black wolf asked him a question completely missing it."i'm sorry can you say that again?" Sean asked as politely as he could.
"Um.. yes, my I sit in this booth with you? There seems to be no more places to sit" he waved his arm at the many people siting and eating, there really was no where else to sit."i'm terribly sorry for intruding" he said with a genuine look on his face.
"uhhh.. sure" Sean was suspicious , but his suspicions where blocked with the fact that he really liked this wolf for some reason. The wolf sat down with a cup of coffee, and a newspaper 'he looks sophisticated'. Sean made a nervous sound as he tried to make conversation "um..... how is your day going?", 'stupid! why would he want to talk to you' Sean regretted saying anything until the wolf actually replied.
"well my day is going really great, i've gotten a lot of business out of the way for this winter season. So now i can just relax until the start of the new year. and how is your day going?" the wolf put on a charming smile that hooked Sean like a fish to bait.
"M-My day ..... its been ok nothing that would kill me" Sean said trying to seem smooth with small talk.
"Well thats good are you like some of the unfortunate few who have to work during winter?" he said smoothly
".....no i don't have a job, i'm just a school student" Sean said
"Really?... hows about you work for me i'll probably be giving you more then most teens get starting a job" he said handing Sean a card
"What! really you would give a stranger a job just like that?" Sean asked in slight shock as he looked at the card with just a number in red ink.
"Sure you look like a good worker" he said sipping from his cup.
"But i have no way to get to and from where ever it is i'd be working" Sean said dashing his own hopes for a paying job.
"I can arrange transportation for you" he said with a slight smile obviously think of something else at the moment.
"Well this is great ..... when can i start?" Sean said eagerly.
"you can start tonight" he said.
"whu whu Tonight?".
"Sure! I will get someone to pick you up, when your free from distractions, just call that number" with that the black wolf gave a big smile and left the table soon dissapearing into the swarms of furs.
"Sean were leaving now" Jake walked up to Sean and pulled at the collar of his shirt, with out stopping he walked straight to his car and tossed the bags in the back. Sean hoped into the front seat and looked at his brother
"You bought weed didn't you"
"Yea! what of it"
"nothing..." Sean looked at the card he had gotten.
"Why are you staring at your paw like theres something there?" Jake said plain and blunt. Sean looked at Jake shoving the card into his face. "what the hell are you doing im trying to drive". Sean was getting mad but he thought better and kept quiet why would he want to let his brother know about a job he was going to tonight. They drove home listening to a mix of songs from brand new, circa survive and out kast.
When they got home Sean went straight to his room telling his mom he had already eaten and was not hungry just to get her off his back as he went into his room and closed the door. Jumping onto his bed he looked at the card he was given, it had a black boarder that kinda looked like rose vines and the number on the card.'563-666-0666 well thats an easy number' he began to laugh. he looked at his clock '7:00 i'm ganna take a quick nap' he thought and soon fell asleep.Darkness , a demonic town , a beautiful park , strange stairs .... 'have to get closer' Sean got up and walked close to this one patch of light. walking through the town it seemed that there was pure hatred all around him,he walked forever it seemed, but soon he was standing at the boarder of it and the demonic town. It was beautiful everything looked so real. He reached out his hand and found himself awake reaching for the celling.
"hmpf .... i guess i should call the guy..... 11:50 Jesus i need to hurry" Sean got up and looked for his phone. "Where did I put it" he lifted up his pillows and under his bed "where...." he touched his pants he still hadn't taken out of his pocket " ...... im so stupid sometimes" he took out his phone. "Now where did i put that card ....... wait i know the number its so easy" . Sean started to dial in his phone "5..6..3..666...0666..." he heard the phone ring, as he waited for and answer he was laying down on his bed and closed his eyes.
he felt something weird but thought nothing of it. "Hello" he heard a voice, "yea i'm ganna need to get picked up"
"What do you mean" the voice chuckled Sean opened his eyes and was shocked to see that he was in a red room, very shocked he looked around his heart racing. The black wolf that he had met in the mall was standing next to the bed.
"H-h-how did i get here? where am i?" questions started to pour out of his mouth
"You wanted to work for me didn't you, you called the number that a stranger gave you , you obviously didn't care that you would be leaving your family at midnight. you really hated your old life didn't you" the wolf said with a cool demeanor
"n-no" Sean got up and ran to the door, only stopping to realize that there was no door "wwh-wh ..... wheres the door! i didn't mean to leave my family, I thought I would be getting a job and thats it" Sean said his back to the wall glaring at the wolf.
"Don't look at me like that, this is all you you want this, and once you sign you wont be seeing your family or friends again." he said with a smile
"How do I get out of here" Sean said looking around for some sort of exit. there was nothing not even a window just a bed, a mirror and dresser.
"you can leave once you sign this contract" the wolf rolled out a long contract that rolled its way right up to the white cheetahs feet. "heres a pen" the wolf tossed him a pen. 'got you, no way out, i think i've already won the war to' the wolf thought to himself, with an evil grin.
