We can Coincide Chapter 5: A Real Kiss
#5 of We can Coincide
I put this chapter off a little longer than I wanted to. But I had to get back on my Friday schedule some way or another.
*Beep... beep... beep.*
Huh, where am I? Ugh my head hurts like hell, and my leg feels like a tree trunk. I slowly opened my eyes trying to carefully examine the room I was in. Alright basic white ceiling tiles. I am definitely not at home right now. And why is my hand so warm? I slowly rotated my eyes to the right side of the room and saw some medical posters, and the food triangle. Alright so I'm in a hospital right now. Oh yeah! I let out an audible sigh of relief and I felt the grip on my hand tighten, followed by the sound of something sliding across the floor.
I looked back up towards the roof and saw Lucario standing right over top of me. I instantly felt relieved, but that was soon followed by instant guilt. "Sarah? please tell me you're alright?!"
I tried to reply, but my voice came out so weak to the point proper words weren't even formed. Lu buried his head into my shoulder and whimpered. "I'm so sorry... I'm so freaking sorry." I mustered up the strength to wrap my arms around his neck, hopping he would understand what I wanted to say. He pulled his head up and looked down at me. There were visible tears building up in his eyes, but he had a smile of relief on his face. He spoke, "I waited here for over nineteen hours holding your hand, just waiting for you to wake up. I feel like this whole situation is my fault."
No it's not your fault at all! I'm the one to blame, not you! I started to cry over my own thoughts, and his words. _I managed to almost get myself killed, and hurt the one last thing that I even care about on this planet. _
I noticed Lu on the verge of breaking down, like he did the first day I met him. I swore to myself I wouldn't hurt you. And... and I love you... I took action by gently pulling his head closer to mine. Through pure will I managed to whisper in his ear, "please, forgive me."
He tilted his head slightly and softly said, "what fo-"
My heart practically stopped, the room froze, the beeping ceased, my eyes sealed shut, and all the pain went away. I just locked my lips with Lu's. His entire body was tensed up, oh god please don't tell me I fucked it all up! He however, didn't pull away. I slightly opened my eyes and was instantly mesmerized by his own. His eyes spoke of extreme passion, comfort, and ectasy. But most of all, shock. He then let out a soft moan, and cupped my face with his paws. Within a second we both closed our eyes and were making out in my hospital bed. His first set of kisses were a bit sloppy, but he quickly learned the technique. And he tasted pretty damn good. He went from an amateur to a pro in just a few seconds!
A good minute or so passed before I had to pull away to catch my breath. He still had his paws cupped around my face, and his muzzle was right next to my face. I don't think there was a color of red that could of described my face, but I felt on fire. We sat in silence for some time just staring at each other, simply enjoying the much needed company and intimacy. "Amazingly, you still retain your beauty even after an accident. I... I was going to kiss you earlier in the mall, but..." He lowered his head slightly, but he never took his eyes off mine. "I just didn't want to ruin our relationship. That's why I feel like It's my fau-"
I once again decided to cut him off by giving him another full fledged kiss. I decided to try speaking normally again, and luckily my voice recovered. "Lu, It's my fault I didn't tell you. When I was thinking about you in the mall, I was thinking about us being together, alright? But I heard every single word you said when you were carrying me. And... and I wanted to tell you that I love you even more than myself... I couldn't stand hearing you cry as you carried me."
I broke out into tears as I prepared to carry out my last sentence. "You're all I have left as well... well other than my parents of course."
He slightly lifted me up into the bed and fully embraced me. "Don't worry Sarah, I'm here for yah." His words put me at ease once again. He can work around any of my issues. I opened my mouth to speak, but Lu didn't give me a chance to even speak. He pulled me towards him, and gave me a very compassionate kiss right on the lips. Damn he's really good at this emotion stuff. He pulled off after a few seconds, and peered right at me again. "I love you so much."
I couldn't help but smile. "It seems dreams do come true after all Lu."
He picked up on my words and teasingly said, "having dreams about me now too?"
_Come on there isn't anything he doesn't pick up on! _
I decided to turn the tables on him for once and coax-fully answered, "oh, not like you haven't."
I noticed his tail start to wag, probably his way to hide the defeat. He chuckled a little bit and looked up at a clock hanging on the wall. "Oh yeah your parents checked in on you every hour so far, so they should be here pretty soon."
As if nearly on que the door slowly opened up and sure enough, both my parents entered the room both in their hospital uniforms. Lu even managed to track down the hospital my parents worked at? Impressive. Lu reluctantly let go of me, and faced my parents.
My mother paid no attention to him, and she instead quickly made her way to the other side of the bed and started to rub my belly. It was honestly a bit awkward, but sure enough she was just trying to explain something. She started to tear up before she even spoke a word.
"Oh god Sarah, when Lucario carried you into the hospital, I thought you were dead. And I thought... I thought..."
My dad took a step towards Lu and said, "she thought Lucario, or Lu as you call him, was the one that hurt you."
Lu looked over towards me, and then back to my dad. "I... I didn't touch her, she was hit by a car! I couldn't ever bring myself to hurting her..."
My dad crouched down and grabbed Lu's shoulder and shook him a little bit. "I already knew you had nothing to do with it as soon as you ran into the front entrance of the hospital." My dad laughed a little bit, "you wouldn't quit saying I'm so sorry." He then lightly tapped Lu's chest, "you practically saved her life you know that?"
Lu simply nodded his head.
You have no idea how much he's done for me already.
But then the idea suddenly dawned on me. My life? "What happened to me mom?" I was getting slightly nervous, hoping it would be minor injuries, considering my parents tend to over react.
"Well sweetie, your left leg is broken, you have two cracked ribs, and a minor concussion the left you unconscious for..." She looked down at her watch and back up at me, "nineteen hours."
My dad stood back up to full height and added on to my mother's sentence, "It honestly isn't bad, considering you were brought here in less than four minutes."
Whoa four minutes?! The mall is a little over a mile away from this hospital! "How the hell did Lu get me here that quick?"
My dad just laughed and replied, "the pain of a loved one can make anyone run faster."
I couldn't help but blush, but luckily my parents didn't pick up on it, but I'm pretty sure Lu did, considering he was slyly smiling.
I decided to break the silence again by asking, "so uhh, when can I go home?"
My parents exchanged vision, and then both looked at me. My mom was the first to speak, "well we already put a cast on your leg, and you're on plenty of meds to help with the pain."
My dad finished off their silent discussion by saying, "well either you two are sharing this tiny bed for the rest of the day, or you'll have to let Lu take care of you for a little bit."
My mom painfully groaned, "we don't get to go home for another freaking day."
I was about to tell them where I wanted to go, my dad pulled a wheel chair out the closet and rolled it next to the bed. "Lu said he wanted to go home."
Lu looked at my dad slightly surprised. "But I didn't even say anything."
I couldn't help but laugh, but my father knew I hated hospitals. My mom started to unplug the sensors from my body, while my dad had a short conversation with Lu, one that I couldn't hear a word of. And before I knew it, I was gently lifted up in the air, and eased down onto the wheel chair.
I looked up at my dad, and I noticed a very faint tear on the side of his face. I've never seen him cry before. He jokingly said to me, "I probably woulda dropped you."
But, before I could even make a wise remark, my dad quickly exited the room, followed by my mom. We were left in silence, just me and Lu, alone again. "What was that all about?"
He replied, "Your dad said to me, you might not know it Lu, but you are by far the most important thing to enter my daughter's life. When you were holding her just a few minutes ago that probably made her entire day. So please, take her home and took good care of her, alright?"
He put his paws on the wheel chair and started to push me towards the door to leave. But he suddenly stopped before we hit the door, "he forgot something important though."
I anxiously replied, "and what is that?"
"You are the most important thing in my life too." He then quickly turned the wheel chair around, and engaged me in a very passionate kiss.
Oh god, he just feels, and tastes so good! I gripped onto his back fur, just rubbing my hands all over his body getting a good feel. Even his body feels great on my hands! And he, like before, held my head still as he worked his magic. A pair of approaching foot steps forced us to stop our little session.
He reached down and wiped my mouth clean, "I love you Sarah."
I instantly responded, "and I love you too Lu."
With those words said, and our emotions expressed through the act of kissing, we headed off into the hospital, heading towards the entrance. We passed a few sets of doctors and nurses that seemed slightly confused by a Lucario pushing me around a hospital in a wheel chair. He rolled me out into the lobby of the hospital and directly out the front door.
The rising sun just proved I had missed an entire day. Luckily my house was located only about a quarter of a mile away from the hospital, so I wouldn't have to look so useless to the world for too long. "I look so pathetic." The sound of the wheelchair knocking over debris on the sidewalk just kept giving me constant reminders I had all my trust put into Lu.
Lu sympathetically replied, "I think you look cute being so helpless."
His words put a smile on my face, "oh gee thanks Lu."
He chuckled lightly, "any time Sarah."
As we slowly approached the house, I couldn't take my mind of Lu. Everything simple action he takes, just improves my day by so much. And I really couldn't myself living without him anymore. Hell, I couldn't even be moving right now if he wasn't here. But before I could say anything, I was already placed in my living room with Lu crouching down in front of me.
He looked up at me, eyes directed towards mine, "well we finally made it home."
I replied, "took a little bit, but yeah."
We both laughed at that, considering I wanted to go home almost twenty hours ago. I noticed him start to yawn, and suddenly I formulated a little plan. Before he finished his yawning, I pushed myself off of the wheel chair, and tackled him onto the floor.
Even while off guard, he managed to catch me and cushion my body with his. He frantically asked, "are you okay?!"
I giggled and replied, "of course; I meant to do that."
He gave out a sigh of relief, but now seemed more interested in why I wanted to knock us down to the ground. "So why did you tackle me to the ground?"
Honestly I'm not even sure myself. "Well I had to get off of the wheel chair some way, and I figured I'd let you know I was ready." His fur felt wonderful on my skin though, so I guess that could be a reason. Either that or... Never mind.
He wrapped his arms around me, and lightly butted his head off mine. "I really love holding you, you know that?"
I once again giggled and said, "well you don't have to let go if you don't wanna."
He started to speak, but his words were muffled out by another yawn.
"I think you need to get some rest sleepy head."
With me still in his arms, he slowly rotated me onto my side, with us staring at each other side by side on the floor. He pleadingly said, "I don't wanna sleep alone."
I leaned in closer to him, and give him a small kiss on his cheek and said, "well good, cause you don't have to."
He asked out of curiosity but was pleased by my response, "how can you possibly be tired?"
"Well I wouldn't exactly call being knocked out good rest."
He stood up off the floor, and picked me up. With me in his arms, he carried me to the staircase that lead to my bedroom. "I can really get used to this."
I teasingly asked, "used to what?"
He blushed slightly, but seemed proud of what he was about to say, "I can get used to being with you."
Yeah that makes the both of us. We finally made it into my bedroom, and Lu dropped me off on the bed. He quickly closed the door, and sat down next to me on the bed. "Well Sarah, we made it."
I started to crawl underneath the covers, "yeah, we made it."
Lu quickly joined me and pulled the covers over himself. He let out a sigh of relief as he turned over to look at me. "I know I've said it a thousand times, but you look beautiful."
I slid closer to him, trying to bask in his hospitality. "And you sir look rather handsome."
He placed a paw on my shoulder, and slowly drew his head towards mine. I took up his incentive and brought my lips to his. It didn't even feel awkward anymore, we both wanted each other equally as bad. I knew society wouldn't really agree with us, but none of that mattered at all. But once again another daring thought entered my brain.
I very reluctantly pulled off of his lips, but I did have something to say. I could feel my heart beat start to rise as I prepared my question. "Hey Lu?"
He lovingly responded, "yes?"
"Do you know what human dating is?"
His eyes brightened up and he replied, "yeah."
Crap, now I feel too nervous to ask! "Well I was uhh... wondering if you uhh... would want to be uhh... a little more than friends?"
Of course he didn't just give me a simple answer, he instead slowly pulled me on top of him trying not to hurt me, but I'm guessing this was just another way to tease my emotions. He provocatively asked, "are you asking me out?"
Doesn't even surprise me he knew how to keep me going. I had the butterfly feeling in my stomach once again, I knew he knew what I meant. My voice was a bit shaky, but I formulated the courage to simply say, "yeah."
He gently wrapped his arms around me, and gave me a light kiss on my forehead. "Well Sarah, I guess it's official now." He chuckled a little bit, probably out of disbelief. "So I guess you're uhh... my girlfriend now?"
I really had to retain myself from just screaming out in joy and squeezing him to death. I however couldn't retain myself from crying, but oh boy were those tears of joy. I drove my head onto his shoulder and said, "I love you so freaking much!"
He lifted my head up slightly, and wiped my eyes clean from tears. He soothingly spoke, "I never thought it was possible, but it turns out the love of my life is a human. Just when I started to believe there were no good people left, you just had to come change my mind." He gave me another kiss on the top of my head, and slowly started to rotate me onto my side.
"I never thought it would be possible for any Pokemon to be this close to a human." My voice was muffled by his shoulder, but my words still made out alright. Over half of the world would disagree with me right now, but there wasn't a doubt in my mind Lu was put on this earth for me.
"And now I'm lying in a bed with my Lucario boyfriend. There isn't anything else on this planet I would rather be doing then sharing this bed with you."
