#2 of Requested FanFics

It has been some time since Meloetta has heard heartfelt music, so when one day she flew by a window in an orphanage and heard the melodious sound of Remarque's music, she fell in love with this dedicated artist. A night she visites him, and unbeknown to her, she became Remarque's biggest fountain of inspiration and the object of his platonic affection. (M) HumanXMeloetta (F) Lemon

Xellan: And from what Romeo has told us, it seems that this fanfic was done long ago and was gathering dust, so let's get the dusters out and clean it!

Romeo&Danny&Xellan: ENJOY!

Remarque's POV

I was sitting alone in my room of the orphanage, listening to the boring program on the radio and tapping my finger on the headboard on my bed. I looked out of the window at the snowing night sky until a sound, the subtly beautiful sound from a string instrument softly creeping out of the radio, caught my attention. I moved the radio closer as the melodious sound enveloped me, and I unconsciously started tapping my fingers as if I was the one playing the instrument. I thought I heard something in the background, but the music was so beautiful that it had my complete attention.

I started to slide my fingers along the surface of the headboard as if it would produce the beautiful sound of the mysterious, the sound which sent me into a spiral of sounds and colors full of life. It wasn't until I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see one of the matrons of the orphanage looking at me with a gentle smile.

"Dinner's ready, Remarque." She told me. I nodded, stood up from my bed and walked out my room. Let me introduce myself: my name is Remarque Bonheur, and I'm eight years old. I was born, as I've been told, in a family with French ascendance, but because of some unknown reasons they decided they couldn't keep me and put me in the orphanage. My first name, Remarque, means 'Note', so I gave myself the last name Bonheur, which means 'Happiness'.

Curious name, I've been told by the matrons, but I took it anyway. I'm a really short boy, and the doctor said that even when I grow up I won't go taller than 4 feet; that's quite depressing. Anyway, I entered the dining room where the other kids were chatting happily and the Chansey and Audino were serving the food. The orphanage was mostly staffed by Pokémon, the only humans being the two matrons and the owner. I sat quietly and muttered a 'Thank you' to the Chansey that put my food in front of me, before finishing my dinner in silence.

When I was about to stand, I felt another tap to my shoulder and saw one of the Audino motioning me to follow her, so I nodded and started to walk beside the Pokémon. She took me to a room where the matron who called me was sitting with what seems to be a guitar case in front of her, looking over sheets of paper. When the Audino knocked the door she lifted her head up and nodded, making a 'Come closer' motion to me with her hand. I, scared out of my wits, entered the room and stood in front of her desk, shyly rubbing my hands together with my gaze down.

"Remarque, I called you because I have something to tell you." I looked at her as she stood and walked around her desk, crouching in front of the case to open it seconds later. Inside it was a four-string instrument, and quite a large one as well. "This is the instrument that made the sounds that had you mesmerized: a cello."

"Cello..." I caressed the word with my lips as I looked at the instrument. The matron took it out of the box and sat on a chair with it in front of her, and took out a strange looking stick.

"I could see that you have talent for this instrument, so from now on we'll have daily lessons of cello." I looked at her with wide eyes before a big grin found its way into my face. She held up the stick, which also had some string drawn across it. "This is the bow, which is used to play the cello. You have to slide these white strings, which we call hair, along the strings."

"But how?" I asked. The matron smiled before lifting up the bow and placing it on the strings. As the bow moved to the left, the acute sound I heard on the radio hit my ears again.

"That's how. The note I just played is la, and with the cello you can play the notes, from the highest to the lowest, the notes la, re,sol and do, without using your left hand." I gave full attention to every single word I was hearing. "With time I'll teach you all the techniques, but first let's start with some basic techniques, and of course music theory..."

And with that, I started to learn to play the cello. Unbeknownst to me at that time, this would have a great impact on my life in my later years...

Meloetta's POV

I was flying around Unova in my invisible form like every other day, looking around and picking up all the different sounds around me. I was bored out of my mind as I flied around, lazily casting glances inside the region's theaters and operas, hearing the recitals and performances. Some of the music were good, I admit, and I could understand the interpretations; but it was heartless; without any emotion inside it, a hollowed music. I was flying in front of a building as I heard, for the first time in a long time, an emotional sound from a string instrument. I floated over to the window and saw a boy sitting in a chair playing a half-size cello with closed eyes. In that moment I saw it: he was feeling the music, not just mechanically interpreting it.

I kept looking at him as he played the passage fluently, his ability to utilize difficult techniques with ease only adding more flavor to the piece. Somehow, I just felt drawn to his music. I sat on the windowsill as he kept playing the piece, which seems to be a Contemporary composition. Still with eyes tightly closed, he brought the piece to a beautiful passage, with legato and vibrato at all the right moments; suddenly, it descended into a horrifying run of low notes, where he seemed a little technically challenged, before going into a lively yet grotesque dance, play with spiccato and left-hand pizzicato. The music was occasionally romantic, sometimes fearsome, and sometime he even showed some basic understanding of the piece, adding contrasting emotions to certain passages.

As he played the last note of the peaceful lead-up to the cadence, I suddenly noticed that I had accidentally dropped my invisibility, which I quickly activated before he opened his eyes, half lidded, and looked at the ground with a gentle smile in his face.

He brushed his blond bangs out his face and looked out of the window through me, eyes as blue as the sky, looking at where I would be. He got up and put the end pin back in before putting his cello away. I released a silent whine as he stopped playing and flew out, maybe to never see him again. But the next day, I was there again, in the same windowsill, looking and hearing him play, this time with a woman (matron I think he called her) in the room with him. She was smiling as she heard him play the notes of a beautiful baroque melody, full of emotions in a kind of interpretation that I haven't heard for a long time. When he ended, he put the bow down as the matron clapped softly at him.

"It's great, Remarque, truly great. You've progressed to almost unreachable levels in two years since our first class." The woman said as I, at last, got the boy's name. Remarque, that name sounds French. "Now that you can play this good, what will you do?"

"I want to keep playing, and my first concert will be here." His voice was soft, almost as if he was about to break. "Let's organize a concert here to get funds, that way, the orphanage won't have to close."

"That's a magnificent idea!" the exclaimed woman clapping her hands together. She was soon walking out of the room, dialing some numbers as Remarque remained in the chair, eyes now closed in bliss. He stood up, put his cello away and walked to the window, startling me as I thought he saw or heard me, but when I floated away I noticed he just wanted to close the window before sitting down on his bed.

"Is my music really any good?" I heard him asking himself. I can't believe how unsure he is of his own music, but I saw his eyes and noticed that even if he was unsure he won't back down. He draped the sheet over himself before closing his eyes and falling asleep. I definitely will hear his concert!

A few days after, a stage was set up in front of the orphanage, while some volunteers and Pokémon were giving out pamphlets around the city. I myself told some Pokémon to come and hear this boy, as it should have been quite some time since they've heard this kind of music from the heart. Around seven o'clock in the evening, a large crowd was gathering in front of the orphanage, and I noticed some suit wearing men within them. Talent hunters, I think humans call them, and they will be blown out of their minds today. I sat, invisible, on a branch of the tree that was next to the stage, which had a single chair in the middle of it.

I heard the thumping of footsteps on wood and saw Remarque coming out of the side of the stage, wearing a pair of blue jeans and an old shirt and holding his cello in one hand and bow in the other. Settling down in the chair, he took the microphone that was in front of him and took a deep breath, before looking around the now silent audience.

"First of all, I want to thank you for taking away your time just to hear my music." He said. "I realized that the world moves through music, and today I would like to try and move your hearts." He set the microphone away as he took his bow and closed his eyes.

"I bet this boy is just a talentless amateur." I heard one human whispering to another. Angered by the insult to Remarque, I used Psychic to lift a small stone and threw it at the human, hitting him on the side of the head. Huffing, I turned to see Remarque taking the microphone again.

"The song I'm going to play is the Cello Suite No. 1 in G, by Johann Sebastian Bach." He gave the microphone to one of the Pokémon and started to play the baroque piece.

He started with the most difficult and famous prelude, and I must admit that he was still not technically mature yet; he had slight troubles with some of the notes, which inevitably hampered his interpretation and expression. However, some of the talent hunters seems to have noticed this as well, and are intently waiting for the later movements, which are somewhat easier.

As he moved on, the expressions started to come through his music as the audience moved with the usually boring baroque dance rhythm; he gave the music life, moving it with the crescendos and diminuendos, even daringly using some tempo rubato to enhance the effect. As he played on, relaxed with his eyes closed, I could hear him feeling the music and letting each note slide softly into the air, subtle yet powerful. Looking at the audience, I found that some of the humans are starting to close their eyes, not to sleep as is the usual case with some interpretations of baroque music, but to enjoy it. Meanwhile, the Pokémon in the tree here with me are doing the same as well, and I even had to catch an Emolga who was swinging with the rhythm from falling using Psychic. After almost fifteen minutes, he played the final note of the Gigue, letting the resonance ring before opening his eyes rather nervously. Standing up, he looked shyly at his spectators, who were still silent, in their trances. Taking a bow, he was suddenly greeted by a sea of applause and cheers, while the donation boxes around the stage started to be filled up with Pokéyens.

Remarque released a happy sigh and smiled at everyone, bowing again before leaving the stage with his cello amidst the cries for an encore. I noticed the talent hunters making their way towards the backstage among the crowd, soon reaching him to offer him congratulations and all kinds of brochures and business cards. Remarque was scared before an offer caught his attention, and reading his mind I found an audition and scholarship offer from one of the music schools in Unova renowned for its eccentricity. Again his humility was shown as he decided to accept their offer rather than the others, some of which promise good money. I giggled as I flew away. Later that night, he was asleep again, but this time he left his window open. I sat there for the third time and started to sing, into his mind, a song to express my feelings towards him.

As I finished singing I looked over at him, feeling my heart swell just by seeing him sleep. Just then and there I knew I fell in love, and even if Arceus goes against me for him I'll kick her ass into another millennium long sleep to get his heart. I smiled at my dear Remarque, flying away knowing that he will never love me.

Remarque's POV - Ten Years Later

My decision was most certainly right, and right now I am packing to go to another concert. Ten years ago I started as a virtual unknown trying to get through a strange music school, and now, ten years after my debut in the orphanage, I'm an acclaimed cellist known for my interpretation of modern pieces. But what's more important is that ten years ago, while sleeping, I heard a song, in Japanese I'll admit, but somehow I understood it without knowing the language. It was a strange occurrence, for that ever since then I have been longing for that voice again...

Securing my cello for my next performance, I was just checking the spare strings in my bag when my duet partner and best friend Damian doubted my composition again.

"Are you sure you want to play this song?" He asked while looking at the scores, which I composed after the voice revisited me a few days ago to give me inspiration. "I'll admit it, it seems great, but I've got news that the critic this time is not known to appreciate modern compositions."

"I know, Damian." I replied as he helped me to load the cello into the car. "But I want to play it, it's for my Muse."

"What?" Damian asked, looking at me quizzically.

"I said my Muse, Damian." I repeated myself. "I've told you, ten years ago I heard a voice, a feminine voice, singing to me. I fell in love with that voice, or should I say with the owner of the voice."

"How can you fall in love with someone you don't even know? I mean, whom you can't even see?" He questioned. I stood and looked at my friend, who easily overshadowed my 3'8" with his 5'00".

"I feel in love with her because the emotion behind her song told me everything I needed to know." I answered. "I don't care who she is, I'm in love with her and that won't change."

"I definitely can't talk you out of this one. Is this the effect of going through that absurd school of yours?" He sighed while looking at me, "You are such a brat." He patted my head as if I was a little child.

"I told you not to make fun of my size!" I shouted at him, glaring with a look that could kill.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." He said, waving off my shout. I huffed before entering the car with Damian, who promptly started the engine.

"So will you play it or not?" I asked after a long moment of silence.

"Let's do it, I want to go out of my way for once. Mahler didn't write to appease the critics, you know." He replied and I smiled before we pumped fists.

We arrived at the palace's music hall where the performance would take place, and after getting my cello out of the car, we walked inside, flashing our identification cards to the bodyguard at the entrance. The place was just like all other music halls: big, fancy and overly luxurious. After getting ourselves ready at the backstage, we warmed up a little before taking to the stage. With Damian at the piano and me with my cello at my seat, the emcee announced start of the performance and soon the audience lights were dimmed with the limelight on us. Again I felt those eyes, those invisibles eyes of my Muse, eyes that look at me every time I'm going to play, desiring more of my music, and I was more than willingly to please her.

Hearing Damian draw a light breath of air, I readied myself as he started with the opening to Schubert's Ständchen, which we were playing as the first piece. Soon I entered with the melody, making the cello sing out the serenading voice of love and passion, which I directed straight at my Muse. Mixed with it, however, was sadness, sadness from the unfulfilled desire to meet her...

The short piece soon ended with Damian playing the final passage, and I could see that the audience have understood the romantic tragedy in my interpretation of the famous piece; more importantly to me, however, was that my Muse seemed to have felt it as well, and I could almost feel the tears on her face coupled with hope.

As the applause ended, I took the microphone to announce the premier of my composition, "I want to say thank you for hearing us today, but I have another piece, a humble composition of mine which I would be pleased to present to you. The inspiration for this piece came to my mind in a dream, and I dedicated this piece to the woman I love, to my Muse."

I thought I heard a tiny gasp somewhere, but now is time to show all my love and appreciation to the Muse that chose me over any other musician. I waited for Damian to pull out the scores before we started playing.

Damian started with a flowing arpeggio, opening the piece of music with soft notes as if to coach the spectators to hear us play before I soon entered with a melodic entry. The arpeggios supplemented me as I played the opening with smooth crescendos and diminuendos, making the usually disturbing contemporary intervals more soothing and loving. This gentle caressing melody is what I wanted my Muse to hear, and I know that through the music she would understand the love that motivated me to complete this composition just to play for her.

After a period of build-up amidst the strange calmness we escalated the music into a passionate drive, presenting a melody that even the most heartless critic would surrender to. As if I could see my Muse hearing me, I pushed the notes of the climax forward in a show of desire before descending into a low, expressive passage. I took careful control of the song, while Damian moved with perfection, intertwining with my melody with a solid, yet expressive support; evidently, I was finally able to get him to feel the music, to support and enhance my emotional expressions.

After ascending into another passionate climax, Damian led me into a pizzicato passage, playing the slightly playful passage with a solid beat and handwork, yet without sacrificing the musical elements. He showed his prowess in piano just like how I used all I could to show my Muse the love I desire to get from her. Soon I returned to playing with the bow, going into another intense passage of double stops. We reached the peak of the piece, playing with all our ability. We were complimenting each other's sound with our own, like two brothers playing together. The emotion was let loose like a river as we played the passionate and agitating climax, the staccatos and pizzicatos shouting out the words that I couldn't say but could feel in my heart, and in my music.

After another melodious passage, we stopped before taking to the sounds again, with Damian playing a few scattered low notes on the piano to lead me in, playing softly to produce sounds that I knew would tell my Muse everything. I let my emotions flow into the song, and into the world though the vibration of the strings, being unable to shout 'I love you' in front of my Muse for all the world to hear.

We soon ended in a slow lead up to the cadence that was creeping with bleakness and coldness in an almost scary fashion, perfectly describing what my heart will be without her to complete it. As the last resonance ended, we stood up to bow as another sea of applause reached my ears together with calls for an encore. I didn't care about that, however; what I care about is if I will be able to convince my Muse to let me see her, to hold her, kiss her, to make her happy to the best of my ability. I walked to the backstage and started to pack my cello, not wishing to remain here longer for that there is something more important that I'll need to do.

"That was some piece of music." Damian commented while driving me home. "I personally want to meet that Muse of yours to thank her for making you such a good musician."

"Who knows? Maybe if I manage to meet her I'll introduce you to her." I replied as Damian stopped in front of my house. I got out from the car and got my cello before waving him goodbye, walking to the door and opening it. For some reason I decided to let it open a while longer before closing it and locking it, putting down my cello in my music room before getting dinner ready. I made enough for two before sitting in the table, another plate on the other side of the table.

"Please, don't be afraid." I said, almost like talking to no one. In the seat across from me the air wavered before a beautiful being appeared. She had green hair and cerulean eyes, her hair resembled a score and her arms were like crotchets. She had some kind of black cocktail dress and a black head piece. I was mesmerized by her appearance; she is the very embodiment of music... "My Muse..."

"My name is Meloetta." A soft and silky voice said in my mind; she's part Psychic-type. I nodded before smiling at her.

"Will you dine with me, Meloetta?" I asked. She blushed, which contrasted with her white skin, giving her a cute appearance. She nodded and used her powers to eat dinner, and as we finished she used the same powers to clean the dishes.

"Your music is fantastic." She said all of a sudden. I looked at her, rather shocked, before starting to grin from ear to ear seconds later, out of happiness from knowing that my Muse loves my music. I walked over to her and hugged her close to my body, her 2'00" being half my size. I felt her tense before returning the gesture, levitating higher so her head was on the crook of my neck.

"It's thanks to you, my Muse." I told her. "That song you singed to me ten years ago made me want to get better, to please you at my best so that you would be proud of my music, but more importantly, to play a music that could hopefully to express at least a little of my feelings towards you. Meloetta, my Muse, I love you."

"Remarque, my musician, I love you too." She replied while taking her head off my neck and smiling at me. We leaned closer to each other until we kissed, and believed or not this is my first kiss. It was as if all the music of the world came to me, ringing my ears with melodious emotions as my heart skyrocketed. We broke away from each other and smiled. I found her at last, and nothing will take her away from me.

"Please, be my Muse, now and forever." I pleaded to her. She smiled before kissing me again, this time stronger, thus pushing me to the couch that was behind me. I felt her tongue darting into my mouth, and though she is the dominant one in here I won't complain, I like it this way. She traced all my mouth, not leaving a single place untouched by her soft and moist organ, sending shivers down my spine and blood towards a... *cough* ...rather embarrassing area.

She started to touch my tongue, dragging it out of my mouth and into her own, sucking it softly and making me gasp at the sensation. Deciding to reciprocate her previous actions, I started to shyly move my own tongue inside of her moth, her saliva tasting like a Mago Berry. She broke the kiss again and shifted her position so she was straddling me at the best as she could with her petite body, grinding my erection, both of us moaning as our crotches made contact. I looked at her, her flushed, embarrassed and cute face obliging me to comply with her wishes. I nodded and took off my pants and undergarment, releasing my 5 inches erection.

She almost drooled at the sight of it before spreading her legs further to reveal a slit in the damp patch between them, making me almost drool this time. She used her soft hand to take my member, making me shudder at the sensation, and directed it towards her pussy, soon lowering onto it as our most intimate parts touched each other's. The rush of pleasure that went through both of us made us moan before she applied more force, taking my head into her. The pressure and wetness massaged every inch of my cock that was inside of her, obliging me to release a moan as she took more and more into her. What seemed to be a wall of flesh stopped my impending entrance, and at that moment my conscience returned as I looked at her with a worried expression.

"That's your most precious belonging; I can't take it away from you." I told her as I grabbed her hips. She looked at me with teary, pleading eyes, breaking my heart with that look.

"It belongs to you now, I want to give it to you and only you." She hugged me closer to her. "Take it, I won't have any regrets." She said. I couldn't deny her, not anymore. Instead of stopping her I used my hands to lift her a bit, and at her nod I slammed her down. She released a pain filled scream that almost killed me, guilty eating me away for hurting her, and feeling this she kissed me reassuringly. I noticed that I felt some pressure just around a part, and immediately understood that I have penetrated into her womb. Knowing that just I would enter this sacred place I moaned into her mouth, as she grinded me before starting to lift her hips and sending them down slowly, the grip of her slit around my member not wanting to let go.

Her soft whimpers of pain were disappearing, soon replaced by moans and heavy breathing. She sped up, rising and falling faster, and I decided to help her by bucking my hips upwards into her, meeting her halfway into the motion. She moaned louder at that, so I kept doing it as her grip around my manhood grew stronger and stronger. I felt a tightening sensation in my nether regions and understood I was close, so I decide to caress her body and lick and nip at her neck to bring her with me. Our peak hit us, and we kissed each other, moaning loudly into each other's mouth as all my sensing capacity was disabled in all my body except my crotch, rope after rope entering my Muse and filling her almost instantly, some of it leaking out.

We remained there, panting heavily and trying to catch our breaths. When I got enough strength I pulled out of her and hugged her close to me, getting comfortable in the couch as I knew that I wouldn't be able to get back to my room. She hugged me weakly while closing her eyes, sighing in bliss. I smiled at her, my beloved, my Meloetta...

Meloetta, you are my Muse...

Danny: And of course, the piece that we used as Remarque's composition, which is Shostakovich's Cello Sonata in D minor, 1stmovement. You can hear it here:

Xellan: Not forgetting Schubert's Ständchen, which can be found here:

Romeo: And with that...

Romeo&Danny&Xellan: Bye, readers!
