"Teach me Magic..."

The elder stag's brow rose curiously at this "Humans can't learn magic Kael, you should know this much. Humans can only use magic through use of a focus and is then limited to what spells the focus is able to cast."

Kael smiled softly "I guess Sheila didn't say anything about what I told her..." He was glad she was keeping his secret, he looks back to the stag as he moves back to the matter at hand. "Thing is elder... and please don't be offended that I haven't told you sooner, I wasn't sure I should tell anyone this but I'm from another world. One day I went to bed at my home and when I woke up I was laying in a grove in the forest here, I went back to sleep hoping it was a dream and woke again to find this little guy bouncing one me." He gives the little slime on his shoulder a playful nudge with his finger."

The elders expression was one of surprise but at the same time a smile crossed his lips "I see... that explains a lot actually and you've told Sheila already hmm?" Kael nods at his question getting a smile from the old man "Good good, I think she would be disappointed if I was the first one you told." He grins at Kael "While this is certainly interesting news, but how does this have to do with you learning magic? You still a human no?"

Kael went on to explain his current theory on Dee's origins coming from their god rather than the human's god and added onto it by saying that possibly because of this he was also being given the ability to learn magic to which he read out the description his plant manipulation skill gave.

Again the old stag's brow rose curiously, scratching his chin idly "mmm, your theory seems sound indeed.... If I did teach you magic and if you were able to use it free of will without being restricted by a focus you could potentially become the strongest human alive you know.." The stag frowns for a moment "My worry on this of course is that should you ever for some reason turn against our kind we would hold little hope against you." Kael blinks at this and was about to speak out before the stag continued "But, if our god has placed his trust in you by giving you this ability then we should give you our trust as well." He smiles at Kael "Come, we don't have long so we should begin straight away, there's a small empty room in the library you can train away from prying eyes."

Kael came to be sitting quietly in the center of a small room off to the side of the library, a small sprout of a plant sticking up out of the ground before him, his goal was to encourage it to grow. The old stag sat across the room from him watching and giving instructions "Kael, each of the monster races can only use one type of magic that's decided by the base nature of each race, us for example are a peaceful race that try to live in harmony with nature and so we have the ability to manipulate plants to our will, to do the same you must feel the life of the plants around you, everything in this world has its own magic within no matter how small, to a degree you could almost call it the life force of the object, even humans have this aura of magic but they generally lack the ability to sense it. To change something you must change its magic aura by connecting your own to it and willing it to change, having a strong image of what you want to happen is very important. To start with it will be easier for you to touch the item in question you with to connect with but eventually you will be able to connect to it without needing physical contact. Now, reach down and try to connect with the aura of the seedling before you."

With the elders words the teachings on the scrolls began to make more sense, almost as though further knowledge was being unlocked just by the few words given. Reaching down Kael lightly touched his fingers to a leaf of the seedling before him and closed his eyes, for a time he could feel nothing but slowly a tingling rose in his fingers as an image formed in his mind, a dim light that seemed so fragile and weak which he took to be the small plant before him <It feels... alive.> Curiously he reached out to the light, at first it seemed to retract from him almost as though afraid of him, Kael then took a deep breath as he tried to calm his mind and body, relaxing himself to a peaceful state which seemed to then attract the light towards him <That's right, I won't hurt you, if you'll let me ill help you grow.> The small light moved forward till he could feel its warmth now and the image in his mind turned back to the plant he was touching but now it was surrounded by that soft aura that he'd connected with. Taking another breath he slowly envisioned it growing like a fast forward recording of a trees growth on a documentary, the aura around it grew as he visualized the plants growth, its stalking growing taller and wider till it became a small trunk, branches sprouting from all over and from them leaves would grow as well as small flower buds.

The old stag had been watching Kael with great interest, he'd noted the almost trance like state Kael had gone into as he communed with a plant for the first time, eyes widening as he could see the magic aura of the two connect and the small sapling start to grow into a small tree, but it didn't stop there, it kept growing and growing almost hitting the roof "Kael stop!"

Kael blinks and drew his hand back from the plant as he opened his eyes "What?" he blinked again as his eyes came to focus on the trunk of a tree that now stood before him, its branches reaching up to the roof of the small room, its leaves crisp green and full of life "Wah!... di...did I do this?" He looks to the elder with a baffled expression, the elder holding his own gaze of wonderment from what he just witnessed.

"Kael you are an amazing human, even I couldn't produce a tree this size till I'd gotten several years of training, your potential borders on being frightful." He rests his hand on the tree lightly, closing his eyes as he seemed to be checking something before opening his eyes once more and looking back to Kael "There is no taint in the tree either, you performed a perfect growth, with practice you'll be able to even create buildings like the one were in I think, come let's move on to some other techniques." With a touch the elder returned the tree down to its original sapling and moved on to teach Kael other ways of using the plant magic, from making basic constructions to producing various fruits and berries for consumption.

With only two nights left before it was time to depart Kael laid on his bed browsing over the menus Dee had, his plant manipulation skill now had the theory part removed from it and gave a slightly different description, his skill level in it was level two already from the training he'd done with the elder. Taking a look at his status screen once again he took a look at the actual numbers on his stats he was quiet surprised to see all five of his stats were at a base of twenty <That's pretty high for a starting stats... well in a game it would be, normally it's like ten for each if that.> Looking back at the main menu he decide to check the compendium which seemed to bring up a list of the races he'd encountered, so far those being [Human] and [Deer Folk] pressing on one brought up a brief description about the race, nothing he hadn't already learned though so it seemed that normally it would be used as a reference by those wanting to refresh their knowledge on certain races but with his memory he would have little use for it. Closing the screen and going to the menu once more he looked at the button labelled [INV] "Inventory?" pressing it brought up a completely empty window "Hmm.. hey Dee? Are you able to carry items for me by chance?" The tablet shifted back into the little black slime which looked up at him with a smile

"Piku!" Kael tilted his head curiously.

"Ok, let's test this then." Looking over to the table beside him he took a cup and held it out to Dee "Dee, put this in the inventory." The little slime let out a squeak and opened its mouth wide, taking the cup and seemed to literally eat it leaving a wide eyed Kael to stare at him. "Ok.... Inventory screen..." Dee hopped up and shifted once more to the tablet showing the inventory window, a single item now showed on it [Wood Cup] Pressing on it brought up a description of it being a wooden cup made by the deer folk and that it could hold a bit over a cup of liquid, curiously it also had a durability rating of 9/10

"Huh... so.. how do I get it back? Dee? Give me the cup please." At his request Dee changed to his slime shape and opened his mouth, the cup popping up out of his wide maw letting Kael pick it up and set it back on the table beside him "Huh... is there anything you can't do little guy?" He smiles and rubs Dee's head lightly.

Looking out the window he noticed it was well and truly night, setting Dee on the table he settled down into bed <mmm, think I'll have to try out that level up button finally tomorrow.> Just as he was about to close his eyes a light knock at the entrance to his hut drew his attention, looking to the entrance to see Sheila timidly poking her head past the door flap "Are you awake Kael?"

Kael sat back up and smiled to her "Yeah, you caught me just as I was about to settle down for the night, do you need something though?"

Slowly she stepped into the room looking almost as timid and shy as when he first met her, perhaps even more so. "T..there's only two days until we leave you know... and I... I want to make sure you don't forget me.."

Kael smiles at her warmly "How would I possibly forg..." His words stop mid sentence as he watches her remove her light leaf woven top, her hands shaking lightly as she does so, his gaze glued to her as she then slipped her skirt off and stepped forward towards him slowly. The moon light shone down through the window to glisten over her soft fur giving her an almost unworldly beauty.

"Kael...I.. I want to remember you always... and for you to remember me.. and.. to make our bond complete..." Gently she leaned over to him, hands cupping his cheeks as she leaned in to press her lips to his. The soft delicate kiss breaking him from his daze as he brought his arms up to wrap around her and pull her gently down onto the bed with him. Tongues entwined as their kiss become more passionate, Kael's hands gently roamed up and down Sheila's back, caressing her fur under his fingers as Sheila started to pull Kael's shirt up off him, having to part the kiss the slip it off and tossed it over to the table, landing on and covering Dee who was already asleep. Sheila leaned up and kissed his neck softly "Today's our last day.... We're going to spend the whole day together... right?"

Kael's held her tighter at her words "Yeah, were bound now after all right?" He smiles to her "So I'm all yours whenever you want." She let out a giggle at that and leaned up to kiss his lips "Really?" She gives him a mischievous grin and slides atop him to sit straddled over his hips, grinding down against his morning wood "So... if I wanted you now.. what would you do?" Her move was bolder then he thought her capable of, though there was still an evident deep red blush on her cheeks.

"Then I guess I would have no choice but to obey."
