Our ride heading back home was carrying out rather peacefully, almost like I just wasn't grabbed by some random dude in the middle of a restaurant. But something felt a little odd on the way back, like Lu was just simply acting out of character. He would keep nervously looking at me, almost like I was some angry parent or something. And when he spoke it was just a short exasperated breath.

And if anything, I should of been the one acting out of character. When we reached a red light that was only like ten blocks away I finally asked, "alright Lu, what's up."

He just kinda looked at me rather awkwardly like I just asked something really strange. And to make things even more obvious that something was up, a slight smirk formed out from under neath his lips. "What do you mean?"

The light flashed to green, forcing me to pay more attention to the road than my husband, but this wasn't going to stop any further questioning. "Why are you all fidgity?"

His muzzle point towards the passenger side window, while pulling on his seat belt like it just magically got tighter. "I'm not at all!"

I really, really just wanted to just stop the car that the point and just sit him down and get a full honest answer, but that wasn't exactly possible on a roadway with moving traffic. "Alright... dear you're acting really strange right now."

"Mhm, so are you."

Ugh... he can act like a freaking ten year old sometimes I swear! And this is why I'll never understand him, cause he always can sense how I feel. He can just play around every single emotion I have, and always get the better trade of it. Is it something that he is sensing from me? Or just something completely different.

But to tease me even further he spoke up, "you're gonna like it when we get home though."

I peeked over at him for a slight second, and our eyes connected for just a moment. But he seemed absolutely elated, and that put me up for questioning. Cause regarding with how rocky this morning has been, we haven't really done anything to randomly just start getting all kiddy like.

"Hey Sarah, we still have Ri's old bed right?"

My heart nearly stopped, "why... why?"

A large smile crept upon his face, "he's finally home."

It took some serious self control not just just jump onto the gas. But thankfully Lu had his paw resting on my leg like normal, keeping me level headed. "Wait a minute, you can just sense him from this far away?"

He slowly slid his paw up and down my leg, "well I can sense practically anything living for almost a mile. But you and Ri are the only two that I even pay attention to."

Well I guess that explains how he knew to come help me... Wait a second!

"So that's how you knew I was in trouble?"

A smirk formed across his lips, "yeah I can abuse that a little bit further."

My face started to burn up attempting to keep both Lu and the road in eye sight. "So that's uhh... that's how you always know when exactly I'm feeling frisky or not?"

He chuckled a little, "yeah works for the finish too."

"I... really... dammit Lu that's not fair!"

His laughter only grew but his paw still remained lovingly on my leg. "Well to be fair I always let you know when I'm getting there too."

The blush on my face was now more prominent than before, it was always fun, yet slightly embarrassing to just openly discuss this stuff with him. But we obviously have gotten past the scared point, and just go straight in when we're both feeling a little lovey. Hell, I guess that's why he just always knew when to make a move...

I turned onto our street, and my breath was instantly taken away by the brand new sight we were greeted with. The whole past conversation just dissipated, and we both just stared at Ri and a young human sitting together on our front porch. Our car instantly sputtered off, and there were no words to really be said, just only actions.

Within seconds, both Lu and I threw open our doors and were sprinting towards this amazingly handsome young Lucario. His fur color was slightly lighter than Lu's, but he obviously isn't our biological child.

"Mom, dad!"

There were no words for us to say at that point. Lu grabbed me, and Ri, pulling us into a very quick group hug. He was absolutely huge for a Lucario, standing at an identical height level. Hell, he was even slightly taller than Lu. Tears started to build up in my eyes, and I just had to bury my face into his chest and just let it all out.

"Ri... I... I thought you weren't ever coming back!"

He gently tapped his muzzle off the top of my head. It was kinda odd for my son to be like three feet taller than when we last saw him, but that's just evolution. I drug my face off of his fur back to normal head level. Both Ri and Lu had expressions of pure joy, while I was just kinda standing there crying. Ri mimicked his previous action on me with Lu, and they just held there muzzles together full of rejoice. It was very oddly cute, but it felt slightly awkward just standing with two Lucario's holding me.

But this was my family, my soul, fully reunited once more.

The teenager that was sitting next to him seemingly struggled to get up. Lu also took notice to this, and quickly broke the hug in order to help the kid up.

Ri spoke up, "well I can thank Nick for everything that just happened to me."

I did however notice two bags and a sleeping bag just rolled up by our door, and it obviously wasn't Ri's stuff. "So Ri, who exactly is Nick?"

"Uhh, can we go inside first?"

Lu had another goofy smile on his face, just like he was seeing something I just simply couldn't.

Ri quickly ran over to Nick's side and wrapped his arm inside his. And within a few seconds we all made it inside the house and dragged all the luggage inside.

We all quickly migrated over to the living room and sat down on different furniture. Lu and I took to the couch, while Ri and Nick sat together on the love seat.

I was about to start the conversation up, but Lu practically stole the words out of my mouth. "So Nick, why are you packed up with my son?"

The question sounded serious, but Lu had no seriousness in his tone or in his entire posture at all. He just seemed like a proud father and husband.

Nick finally spoke up for the first time, "well uhh Ri here wasn't a Lucario when I first met him. He just came up to my door and asked to spend the night. I couldn't say no to the little guy and let him sleep over. Heh, he jumped into my bed before I even had the chance."

Ri squirmed around a little bit and had quite the blush growing on his face. But he never retracted his arm from Nick's side, and I just needed more information.

I spoke out, "go on."

He cleared his throat, and Lu tightened his own grip around me like this was some deep story time.

"Well when I woke up he evolved randomly, like I did something super special or something. And later that day I uhh... we..."

"We got kicked out of the house!" Ri cut him off in a rather desperate attempt, even Nick looked at him like he just broke some sacred rule.

Lu also oddly added in afterwards, "hey Nick why don't you go take a shower will quick."

Okay this is probably the most awkward conversation ever...

Nick climbed out of the crouch and very slowly made his way towards the bathroom trudging one of his back packs over. Ri jumped up to his side, "you need any help there?"

Nick seemed rather upset and just pushed his paw away, and now I'm just left sitting here wondering exactly where this conversation was going.

When the door slammed shut, Ri retook his seat. I did have one question at this point though, "hey, why does he struggle to walk?"

Ri crossed his legs together and fiddled around with his paws, I didn't think it was that major of a question.

"He has cerebral palsy and can't really work his legs all that well..."

"Oh alright, that doesn't really change that much, he seems like a pretty kind kid."

Ri jerked his head backwards into the cushion. "He's so nice!"

I turned my head towards Lu, and he still had a smirk on his face. And to finally put my questioning up into the light he finally came out with what was building up inside. "Come on Ri, there's something else about him."

He threw his face down into his paws and practically whimpered out, "please... please don't get mad."

Lu and I spoke out in nearly perfect unison, "we promise."

His face was still completely buried probably from his extreme blushing. Lu always used to do the same thing, like he was scared to show the world such a common emotion. "I'm uhh... I'm... I can't!"

I tried to sympathize with him, knowing that whatever he said I would support him. "Ri... nothing will ever make us not love you."

He brought his head up and faced us. There were obvious tears building up in his eyes but he bravely spoke, "mom... dad... I'm gay. And Nick over there is my boyfriend."

Honestly I thought he was going to faint, but him being gay literally didn't change anything for me. Actually I was happy that he found a partner of his own.

Lu replied back, "Ri I've known that for like two years now."

Okay that's not even fair, I had no idea!

"So... so we can stay?"

I was about to say yes, but Lu jumped on it first. "You can stay as long as you like!"

Ri finally started to cry, and I quickly ran over to him and planted a little kiss on his forehead. "We'll just have to get you guys a bed, and you'll be good to go!"

He looked up at me, and gave me a little kiss on my cheek. Lu joined me and lightly tapped Ri on his shoulder, "you should go join him, let him know you're good to go."

*Nick*

They're not gonna let me stay are they?

I slowly swayed my legs back and forth in the nicely heated rather large bathtub. The soap in the water made it practically impossible to see through the surface of the water, and I kinda felt bad for using so much.

A slight creek erupted from the door and I snapped my head over, "hey I'm in here yah know!"

A furry arm poked through the door, and cracked it open enough to let his body slide in. "Ugh Ri, I thought you were someone else... wait why are you in here!"

He closed the door slowly, and carefully locked the door which I completely forgot to do. "Well I just wanted to see you, and I have good news!"

I tried to cover myself up, but it wasn't possible. But before I even had time to speak, Ri already stuck one leg into the tub and sunk down next to my completely naked body.

My entire body started to shake, out of complete nervousness and self conscious. But soon enough, I was encased in a furry grasp with a sweet warm kiss planted onto my lips. He looked absolutely amazing with his wet fur glistening in the subtle lighting. Our legs were rubbed up together, and somehow his fur was even warmer than the surrounding water.

I rested my head on his chest as he just held me nice and tight. "Ri I love you so much..."

He kissed the top of my head, "I love you too, and as for the good news. We are completely allowed to stay."

"Uhh... do they know about us?"

He very gently lifted my head up with his paw. And without even needing words, he assaulted my lips with his. I let out a soft moan into it, and threw my own arms around him. There we were taking a bath together, completely nude, making out. I think things are finally starting to look up.
