Mercenary Work
#8 of Chronicles of Sonic Fox
This story is rated "Y" for Yiffy. Reader discretion is advised. "Whoa." I gazed about the impressive city Gene and I were standing in, having stepped through the blue portal only a few seconds ago on top of a rooftop. Although the city was relatively smaller than the ones the two of us had seen, but what was truly remarkable was the technologically advanced buildings and landscape; the whole area seemed to be artificially made, with no signs of any dirt or soil except for the few parks that were sprinkled across the city. Beyond the city limits, there appeared to be nothing but clouds; was the city floating in the heavens? "You always take me to the coolest places, you know that?" Gene said with a smile. "Yeah, and this place is rather interesting," I replied. I glanced over the edge of the rooftop and spied a walkway suspended over the streets leading to a much larger building covered with advertisements; at the top there was a large pyramid structure with "Megaplex Shopping Plaza" on it. "That place seems to be a good place to start; it's probably packed with people. Maybe someone has seen The Remnant." Gene nodded and the two us made our way to the door to what we thought was a stairwell, which actually turned out to be a tube shaped elevator. "Nice," Gene muttered.
After a few hours of asking around the Megaplex Shopping Plaza, we received no helpful and decided to branch out to other buildings. Unfortunately, our luck was no better in any of the surrounding buildings and we were forced to search the outskirts of the city. The outskirts were much different from the inner city; the building seemed neglected and there were sounds of gunfire random directions every once in a while. After searching this city for several hours, both Gene and I were on edge and the neighborhood didn't help soothe our minds. "Let's take a break, Nik," Gene said with a sigh, "I don't know about you, but I'm getting tired and thirsty." "Yeah, screw this," I remarked, "Let's find some place to rest." As I spoke, a black cat approached us from across the street, dressed in a black slightly armored suit with red stripes along the arms and legs. "Excuse me, sirs," the cat said with a velvety tone, "But if you need a place to rest up, you can try the bar at the corner." The black cat then gestured towards the two story building with a neon sign that read "Kole's Water Hole". "Uh, thanks," I muttered, moving alongside with Gene around the cat. At first, I thought the cat was going to try something, but as we made our way to the bar, the cat simply walked off in a different direction. The two of us stepped through the door of the bar, greeted with the smell of smoke and something I can't really describe. The bar was half full, and many of the patrons didn't look as menacing as I thought they would; there were however a few that looked armed and ready for a fight, but I decided not to focus on them unless I wanted to get in a fight. Gene and I sat in a booth, waiting for the slender little skunk waitress to come to our table for our drink orders. "Hey Nik," Gene whispered, "I think we've got company at three o'clock." I glanced to my right, and sure enough there were two mercenary types walking towards us. One of them was a slim female tigress, dressed in a lightly armor suit that almost looked like chain-mail; although her fur wasn't blue, it was still unnerving to see the medieval style sword hanging off her waist. The other one was a large toned brown fox with a white streak of fur at the top of his head and a few scars on his face. The fox wore an armored outfit that did not include sleeves, revealing several scars on his arms, but what was truly eye-catching was the immense double-handed sword strapped to his back. The two of them stopped in front of us, looking us over with smiles on both their faces. "Mind if we sit here?" The fox said in a rough tone. "Do we have a choice?" I replied, not taking my eyes off of him. "Now there's no need to be like that," the tigress said almost sweetly, "We won't cause any trouble as long as you don't." Realizing there really was no other way to ensure this didn't get violent, I nodded over to Gene and the human slid over to my side, allowing the two mercenaries to sit on the opposite side of the table. "Hello there," the skunk waitress said cheerfully as she stepped up to our table, "What can I get for the four of you?" Before Gene or I could answer, the fox answered for us. "Just some water; we have work to do, Sarah." "Sure thing, Alex," the skunk said with a smile. "So, your name's Alex," Gene said mildly. "Yeah, but I'd prefer you to use Fireman instead of my actual name," the fox replied, "and the tigress next to me is Mia." The tigress nodded her head, not saying a word. "Now, why are you here on Servile?" "Servile?" I said numbly, realizing that it must be the either the planet or cities name. "It's where you are," Alex said blandly. The skunk returned with four glasses of water and abruptly left. "Now, why are you here?" Alex pressed. "That's not really your concern," I muttered. "Oh, it is," Alex murmured, taking a small gulp of water, "As you can tell, Mia and I are mercenaries, and we've been contracted to eliminate some individuals that have been causing havoc in the inner city. We haven't seen them ourselves, but we've learned that they've been looking for a certain blue fox; ring any bells?" Realizing these individuals were The Remnant, I knew what the fox was going to propose. "Let me guess, you want to keep me around and use me as bait, right?" "That's a very cold way to put it, but yes," Mia finally said, drinking from her glass of water before continuing, "All our previous attempts to lure them out have been fruitless. You seem to be what they're after, so our best bet is to keep you close." "No offense," Gene interrupted, "But you guys have no idea what you're getting yourselves into; it would be best for you if the two of you just gave us all the info you know and be on your way." "Sorry," Alex said, leaning in close, "But it doesn't work that way; if you want these guys as much as we do, then you're going to have to play ball with us." I took a deep breath and let out a long sigh. "Fine, but if you're going to work with us, I'm going to have to fill you in about my connection with them; best get comfortable, cause it's a long story."
The four of us walked deeper into the relatively abandoned streets of the lower portion of the inner city, scouting the areas The Remnant had been sighted in. I had relayed my affiliation with The Remnant as briefly as possible, as well as mentioning what my motives were and what they should expect to face. The two of them were a bit surprised, but Mia seemed to show more emotion than Alex; the fox was pretty stoic most of time, but he wasn't unsympathetic to my past. After agreeing to join forces, the four of us set off to the inner city as the sun began to set and the street lights started to turn on. "So, there are six of these guys?" Alex asked, walking beside me. "Yeah, I killed two already, but there are three that have appeared before me and are tough to kill; I haven't even seen the other three members though or what they can do," I muttered, suddenly becoming worried about facing a new member of The Remnant. "No matter," Mia said lightly, "With the four of us, this should be no problem." "Shh," Gene whispered, ducking down into a squatting stance, "Someone's coming from that alley." All four of turned and faced the dark alley way, hearing someone approach us slowly. Suddenly, the black cat Gene and I saw earlier came into the light from the street lamps. "Oh, hello there," the cat said politely. "Damn," I sighed with relief, "You really got us worked up. Listen, you're going to want to leave this area; there may be some dangerous people around." "You've got that right, blue boy," a familiar voice said from above. Everyone looked up, shocked to find Kairn, the red winged fox demon from Gene's dimension, swoop down and land elegantly on a light pole. "Don't you have better things to do than stalk us?" Gene asked irritably. "Come on, Gene," Kairn said with a smirk, "You know I can't just let you live your life; where the fun in that?" "Hey cat," I barked, "You better leave, and watch out for more criminals." "Criminals," the cat said calmly, "What do they look like?" "They look like me; blue fur and white tattoos," I replied, looking back at the cat. "Oh, you mean like this?" The cat's fur suddenly started to turn blue all over, and white markings appeared around his eyes and ears. In a mere second, the black cat was now blue, revealing himself to be a member of The Remnant. "You see, I'm one of them; I am Shadow Cat." "What the," Gene uttered, "He tricked us." "So, you're the one who's been trying to get my attention," I said with a hint of anger. "Quite right," Shadow Cat replied with a small smile, "I just had to see how you've grown; so strong and handsome, like your father. I'm glad I got to see you before the others took you out against Omni Dragon's wishes." "What are you talking about?" I asked. "Haven't you noticed how everyone, with the exception of Omni Dragon and Rachel, has been trying to kill you? You see, there's always been this rift in our ranks; Rachel, your father, and myself have always followed our leader's orders to the letter. However, the others also do his bidding, but in their own way. What me and my cousin Rachel have been trying to do is keep tabs on you and bring you back to Omni Dragon alive while keeping the other, more bloodthirsty members at bay; you should be thankful for all our hard work," Cat said eloquently. "So I should be grateful that you killed my parents?" I asked angrily. "I take it that you won't be willing to surrender?" Cat asked with a sigh. I drew my sword and extended the blade, pointing it at the overly calm feline. "This answer your question?" "Very well," Cat said shrugging, "I'll just have to do my best and try not to harm you too much; wouldn't want to ruin that handsome face of yours." "Are you actually hitting on him?" Alex said with a small laugh. "Somewhat, I am bisexual, you know," Shadow Cat turned to Kairn, "Keep the others at bay." "Oh, I'll do more than that," Kairn said, his hands igniting. "Alright," Gene said with a grin, "I hope you guys aren't afraid of a little fire." Alex reached behind him and, with one hand, drew his great two-handed sword, letting the tip slam into the ground and burying the point into the concrete. "We'll be just fine; ready, Mia?" "Ready," Mia replied, drawing her blade. Kairn flew off the pole and landed on his feet, starting to storm over to Gene. Kairn lashed out with his flaming claws, aiming at Gene's face; the human ducked under the fiery attack and slammed his fist into Kairn's stomach. Though winded, Kairn still manage to kick out with one leg and knocked Gene to the ground. As Kairn regained his breath, he came up on Gene, ready to deal a crushing blow with his ignited fist; Mia came up from behind and kicked Kairn's legs out from underneath him, landing flat on his back. Mia raised her sword up and swung in a downward arc; Kairn quickly brought up his fiery fists, catching the blade and wrenching it from the tigress's hands. Kairn swiftly got up on his feet and came at Mia snarling; just before he reached her, Alex came thundering towards Kairn and swung his great sword. Kairn raised his flaming hands once more, but the force of Alex's swing sent Kairn flying backwards into a wall. As Kairn picked himself up, he looked at his slashed palms and snarled angrily as the three of them formed up. "You should really pay attention to your foe," I heard Cat utter from right beside me. I turned to see him an inch from my face; Shadow Cat opened his mouth and hissed, revealing two elongated fangs that stood out from the rest. I hopped back, my attention redirected to my designated enemy. "What the hell are you?" I asked, raising my sword. "Well, since you asked so politley," Cat said in a somewhat happy tone, "I have two powers; one is to shapeshift and alter my form, as you have already seen. The other is my ability to draw sustenance from the blood of others." "What like a vampire?" I replied. "Not entirely, but yes; I was a bit crestfallen when your father upstaged me with his own healing abilities, but I managed to move past it. But enough talk; let's get down to business." Shadow Cat removed something from his belt that looked like a hand guard to a sword, but there was no blade. As soon as he held the hilt aloft, a thin rapier blade shot out from the hand guard. I stood in my spot, gazing at his sword in wonder. "What, did you think your father's sword was the only one that could extend its blade from the hilt?" I shook off my bewilderment and started to slowly move in on the feline, thinking of what I could do to end the fight in one move. Before I could act, cat made a quick jab with his rapier; I immediately parried it, narrowly avoiding getting skewered, and moved in. I raised my blade up and brought it crashing down, but Cat simply danced to one side and avoided the attack. "Hunter Jackal was right, you are rash," Cat laughed. "Jackal?" I repeated. "Oh yes," Cat answered, "You see, right before he died thanks to your "other" half, he managed to send us the data of you he had been compiling since he captured those friends of yours. In short, we know what to expect from you, even if you go off on one of your episodes." "Oh really," I muttered, trying to mask the anger in my voice that was derived from this new information, "Well, what does your data say about this!" I thrust my fist at the feline, a large concentrated sound wave rocketing towards him, The cat leapt to one side, dodging the attack, and came running up to meet me, sword ready to strike. I brought my sword up in time to lock blades with the feline; I pressed against the cat's blade with almost all my strength, but suddenly let up when Shadow Cat tried to angle me to one side. "My, you are strong," Cat said with a grin, keeping his blade pressed to mine. I felt a white hot sensation creep up my spine and explode inside my head; I bared my fangs, growled savagely, and tried to overpower Shadow Cat in our deadlock. Cat seemed to be shocked for a moment, until small smile formed on his face. "Tell me, how are coming along with your wolf problem?" "None of your business," I snarled, continuing to overpower Cat. "Do you even know what causes it, what gives it strength?" Cat grunted as he started to buckle under my force. "You don't even realize how much influence it has over you." "What makes you think you know anything about the wolf?" I growled, ready to split Cat right down the middle. As he struggled, Cat motioned towards his blade with his eyes in a last ditch effort to save his life. Irritably, I glanced as his blade and immediately froze; in the reflection from his rapier, I could see my eyes, and they were a gilded yellow color with red around the edges. Cat was right; the wolf had some influence over me, and I didn't even know it. Suddenly, Cat broke the deadlock and slammed his fist into the side of my head and backed away as I fell in a daze. As I slowly leaned up, I saw Cat open up a portal, grinning at me. "Well, as much as I would love to stay, I don't think Kairn's going to last long against your friends," Cat laughed. As if on cue, Kairn dashed past Cat and leapt into the portal, covered in cuts and bruises; Cat waved goodbye and leapt in after him, closing the portal behind him. I felt myself being lifted up onto my feet by Gene and Alex, neither of them looking exhausted or hurt. "You okay," Alex asked, "You look a little pale." "I'm...fine," I uttered. I was still shocked by the realization that the wolf had some control over me even when I wasn't fully transformed; it would explain the voices, the dreams, and that incident in the city with that grey cat and the dogs. "Tell me, what color are my eyes right now?" "Green, like they always are," Gene answered, "Why?" "No reason," I replied. It's best not to dwell on it and make the others worry I said to myself. "Well we should leave," Mia said, walking past us, "Before the police get here." I looked back and saw a large broken glass window, right where my sonic attack went, finally taking notice of the alarm going off. Knowing we couldn't possibly explain this to the authorities, Gene, Alex, and I hurried after Mia.
"What's taking him so long?" Gene asked. "Well, he volunteered to join us, so naturally he needs to say his goodbyes to Mia," I answered. After retreating from the scene of the fight, Alex and Mia took us to their spacious suite that they received for doing some work for the governor of the city; it was a really nice room, filled with intricate furniture and even had an amazing view of the clouds that surrounded the city. Shortly after the four of us relaxed, out of the blue Alex asked to join us; when I asked why, he simply told me he was hired to make sure The Remnant never came back and that his best bet to do just that was to follow us. Gene and I tried to explain that this wasn't as simple as going to another city, and that there was bound to be even more challenging obstacles ahead; Alex, however, would have none of it and simply started packing the few things he intended to bring. Mia stood to one side, a forlorn look on her face; seeing the tigress, Alex took her by the hand and led her to another room, where Gene and I could hear their conversation for a short while. Soon, we couldn't hear anything for the next few minutes. "I'm going to check on them," Gene muttered, getting out of his seat and walking towards the door. I got up to try and stop him, but by the time I got over to him, he had already opened the door. Curious, both of us peered inside, and our eyes widened and our jaws dropped. Alex and Mia were on a bed, stark naked, pulling up the covers to hide themselves. "Damn it, don't you know how to knock?!" Alex exclaimed. "Oh shit, sorry," I quickly replied, closing the door. "Wait," Mia called out. Surprised, I opened the door slightly, Gene and I peeking in a bit. Mia whispered to Alex, who put on a puzzled look and whispered back. After a minute of waiting, Alex nodded and the two of them looked at us. "Would you two join us?" Mia asked. "What?" Gene and I said in unison, utterly shocked. "Well, Alex is leaving to places unknown, and I wanted to do something crazy that I wouldn't normally do; so, would you mind?" Mia asked, lowering the sheets, revealing her perky breasts. I rubbed my head nervously, taken aback by the offer. "Well, I...uh, what do you think, Gene...Gene?" I muttered, glancing to where Gene was standing, only to find that the human had already started to undress and make his way over to the two lovers. Realizing that this was for real, I started to move nervously towards the three of them, taking off my shirt and pants as I approached them. Gene was undressed and on one end of the bed, waiting with the other two for me to join them. I removed my underwear and sat on the edge of the bed, feeling a bit awkward about the whole situation. "So," I trailed, nervously waiting to hear what Mia and Alex had in mind. "Well, I think I take Alex like this," Mia said softly, moving on top of Alex and taking his hard cock in her hand. Slowly, the tigress guided the fox's impressive length to her pussy and started to lower herself down his shaft, making the two of them moan softly. "Ah," Mia panted, grinding her hips into Alex's, "Now how's about I taste human flesh for the first time?" Gene smiled and moved to Mia's face, kneeling in front of her and presenting his hardening cock to her. Mia licked her lips and took Gene's cock in one hand, stroking over it gently, making Gene moan softly. "And as for you," Mia murmured, looking back at me, "You can take the last remaining spot; just be easy on me." I slowly moved to Mia's rear, placing a hand on it to keep her still while Alex started to pump into her from below. I licked two of my fingers and rubbed them over Mia's tail hole, slicking up the tight orifice for what was to come. Satisfied with her slick rear, I took my cock, which had hardened as I saw Alex and Gene commence their fun with enthusiasm, and pressed it up into her ass; Mia panted as I pushed inside her anus, until she muffled her cries with Gene's cock. Once halfway inside, I started to pull back out and thrust back in, starting a slow and steady rhythm to match Alex's thrusts. In a matter of seconds, Alex and I were pumping into Mia simultaneously, our thrusts pushing the tigress forward, making her swallow more of Gene's cock. I grunted with delight as I pumped my cock into Mia's tight ass, starting to go a bit faster as Alex did. Having a four way was nothing short of amazing, but I discovered one problem when one guy was working the pussy and the other the tail hole; if one goes to fast or out of turn the other's cock gets twisted, and if one goes to hard when the nuts are in close proximity you end up with a ball collision that just hurts like hell for both guys. Thankfully, after the first two times that happened, Alex and I seemed to form a subconscious bond that helped us prevent any further crashes and instead focused all our effort into Mia's orifices, making the tigress let out muffled screams around Gene's cock. My head felt like it was going to explode as I hammered into Mia's ass, right at the breaking point but still holding on as long as I could; however, As Mia herself neared her orgasm, her ass tightened and sent me rocketing over the edge, filling her tail hole to the brim with my hot seed. With a satisfied sigh and an awkward grin, I pulled out of her ass, leaning against the wall and watching the other two have their fun with Mia. Gene gripped Mia's shoulder's as his face turned red, Mia sucking his cock like a sweet treat as Alex bucked his hips up into her own, nipping her dangling breasts and causing the tigress to shiver and moan. Gene let out a loud moan and came in Mia's mouth, his cum oozing out from her lips as she tried to swallow it all in one gulp. As Gene removed his cock from her mouth and most of his cum in her stomach, Mia could now moan at full volume as Alex started to pound her pussy raw; the tigress held onto Alex as she cried out in bliss as her orgasm hit her hard, her juices running down Alex's still pumping cock. Gene and I watched as Alex continued to fuck Mia for another five minutes until he came with a roar, his arms wrapping around Mia as his cum virtually spilled out of her pussy and over his balls. "That was interesting, to say the least," Gene said with a sigh, sitting at the edge of the bed. "You really are a great friend, you know that?" Alex panted with a smile, planting a small kiss on Mia's cheek. Mia giggled and rested her head on Alex's chest. "Well, I hope you enjoyed it," Mia muttered, "Cause that's one of the few times I going to do that." "Damn, you should've told me," Alex said sarcastically, "I would've gotten the camera." "Oh you wouldn't dare, Alex," Mia said seriously. "Lighten up, Mia," Alex laughed. "So, I guess I'll be going with you guys soon, right?" "I guess so," I replied, "I doubt you'd have it any other way. You sure you're up to it?" "Oh hell yeah," Alex said with a grin. Sonic Fox and The Remnant belong to Sonic Fox. Gene and Kairn belong to absorbentgene. Alex and Mia belong to Rzr Blader. Sorry this took so long; I think I'm losing my touch what with all this college stuff going on. At any rate, I hope you enjoy this story. I also would like to take this time to thank Rzr Blader, who showed me that long after I've written a story, someone will always bring it up out of the dark and shine some light on it.
