Aelis has successfully consumed the traitorous kobold Kret for her master Vijaya. Now, all that's left is to digest the little vermin. But, something doesn't seem to agree with the lamia...

This is part of a series I did with kobold dell'arte. I'm now bringing it to you so everything is in one place. Kret belongs to kobold dell'arte. Story written by me.

Aelis groans, one hand holding her bulging belly up as the other pushes her upper body enough for her tail to do the rest of the work. Soon, she slumps forward, and lets her tail carry her as she slithers on out of the room, leaving her armor there for another servant to pick up. After all, she cannot wear it while she’s working off a meal.

Her master joins her, hopping off from the lowest stare leading out of the arena. The bright kobold with his gaudy feather headdress would look silly, if it weren’t for the ever-present scowl on his face. Aelis frowns, but does nothing to attempt to cheer him up. What was it that she did that upset him so?

He can always read her feelings, and he speaks without looking to her. “I’m glad that bitch is serpent food,” he says with a growl, “I just wish you could have her burn in your stomach longer, my pet. But you’re going to have to dispose of her in a timely manner. We have much more important things to plan. When you killed the Dark Queen’s diplomat, it put into motion machinations that we cannot hope to stop. Either we attack her, or she will attack us. I would much rather we pressed the home advantage.”

Two guards stand at the end of the hall, and they salute their boss and open the doors for him and his pet, each of them staring at her breasts. The men always did that—some of the women, too. They liked to play with them, especially when she gives them her venom. She licks her fangs thinking about it. They still taste like the kobold. Such a savory taste, yet she was quite sweet, in her own way.

She follows her master to the side of his seat in the audience room, and coils up around the chair, resting her head on a pillow. She stares up at the ceiling as she rests her hands on her stomach, wondering about the way the kobold went down. How many has she eaten over the years that some would consider ‘people’? More than she could count. But all of them went the same ways. The ones who were still alive either went down fighting. Those were always fun. Otherwise, there are those who begged for their lives. Those were not as fun. Though their tears tasted good, she did clean them off so that they may join her with dignity, make her stronger and not allow them to die as a blubbering mess. Her mistress didn’t fight, but neither did she cry. They cuddled and they kissed, and she went down in much the same way as the kobold, as her mistress, as her lover.

“Aelis!” Vijaya snaps, and the lamia hops back up to her standing position, her stomach sloshing around, working overtime on the kobold within. Her throat burns and she burps in response to her master.

“You need to pay attention. I’ve been telling you that my audience chamber isn’t the time or the place for that.” He says, pointing downward.

Aelis blinks and looks downward. Though, she cannot see past the prodigious size of her stomach.

“Your junk!” He says. You’ve gone and had a boner in the middle of this important meeting!”

Aelis jumps and spins to face the entrance. There, standing with a traveling hat in his hands and his eyes as wide as any prey of hers, is a man she recognizes. He was in here a few days ago, singing a song for her master. She smiles as she sees him, but slides behind the chair, where she cannot be fully seen to take care of her business.

Leaning her back against the cool metal of the throne, Aelis hears her master’s conversation as she sets to work on the little problem she has. For as long as she lived, she had this appendage, but when she saw others who were called ‘female’, they did not have such a thing. It’s constantly perplexing, yet she doesn’t hate it. In fact, her mistress loved her for it, at least at first… before she actually said those words.

She sucks in air as she thinks of her mistress, running her thumb under the head of her shaft.

“Quiet back there,” Vijaya says, but then returns to his talking. Always bossing around, especially to that one. Master had promised to feed him to her if he didn’t pay his debts to her master.

Ugh… food. She can’t think of food right now. Even if it is a handsome bard. She’s so full. It’s weird. She’s eaten things far larger than that little kobold, yet, the way her stomach growls and snarls at it makes tummy begin to hurt too much and become too full. She tries to not think of it as she rubs her length. She instead thinks of her mistress, and how she felt, coiled under her tail, how she would give Aelis little kisses. She sniffles, wiping her eyes of the tears that form. But the sight of her mistress tears apart as she feels as if cold steel has stabbed he right through the chest!

Her voice cracks as she clutches at her chest, rolling out from behind the throne. With a flop, she falls down off of the platform the throne sits upon and lands on her back.

Vijaya snaps, standing up from his seat. “What is the meaning of this interruption!?”

She looks to him, eyes wide, her vision wavering slightly at the feeling of something tearing her up, burning her up, filling her insides.

Vijaya’s eyes lose their furious glow, and he staggers down the steps and to her side. “Aelis…! My pet. Tell me what’s wrong!”

“Maybe,” the guest says, taking a few steps back. “Maybe, I should go.”

“You stay!” Vijaya snarls. “Help me get her to her seat. You owe me, bard!” He growls, but his insistence is much more desperate than Aelis had ever seen in her master before.

Aelis coughs, feeling something gurgling up from within her. When she pulls her hands away, blood and chunks dribble over her chin.

“Oh gods…” Vijaya says, falling to his knees. “What is happening…?”

The burning throughout all of Aelis’s torso grows. She claws at her expanded tummy and thrashes around, her tail lashing out, striking

Vijaya in the face and knocking the kobold over onto his side. The bard stands there, completely dumbfounded

“Damn it, you loser!” Vijaya snaps, wiping the blood off of his cheek. “Sing her a soothing melody. Can’t you see she needs healing!?”

“R… right. Sorry boss!” He coughs and stands tall, his voice coming to Aelis’s ears like a balm to a wound. She rolls onto her stomach, pushing herself up. Her lip quivers as she shakes her head, feeling her chest expand, her stomach shrinking. Her throat tries to keep it in, but her head swims, her body telling her that what she ate is absolutely no good. She looks to her Master, tears running down her eyes, blood dribbling down her lips and chin. She tries to comfort him, to give him a smile, but all that comes from her mouth is the contents of her stomach.

Heaving heavily, her hair covering her face, getting chunks of previous meals and the stink of bile all over the floor, Aelis warps and distends as the contents of her stomach claw their way up out of her. Her chest expands, and then her throat bulges, making a distinctly snout-shaped sleeve in her body. Her mouth opens wide as her groans of dismay and of excruciating pain echo throughout the chamber. Her body fights against the horrible thing that had taken up residence in her, and so, with one more mighty heave, she expels the rest of her contents onto the ground and collapses into it.

Aelis doesn’t move, and she is hardly awake after that violent vomit. She had never felt so unclean and so low. Her throat burns, her mouth burns, her soul burns. Laying there, the exposed sick cakes her body, her skin is marred by stretch marks at her throat. Her jaw hangs loose, throbbing in pain after the large chunks of meat kicked their way out of her.

The quiet fills the entire room for an eternity, as Aelis becomes used to the pain that covers her whole existence. But soon enough, the ringing in her ears disappears as she hears her master’s voice calling her name.

She pushes herself once more, as much as she can. Her tail twitches, not listening to her as she tries to push herself up. But why?

Both the bard and her master stare at the stinking pile of vomit that lays on the ground. Amidst the chunks of her earlier meals lays the fully formed, yet bloody and terrible-looking kobold.

“Aelis…” Vijaya says, his own legs shaking. “Wh… why did you throw that up…? Did that traitor not… did she not agree with you?”

The bard’s eyes furrow as he looks to the motionless lump laying on the ground.

The little bundle twitches, and Vijaya croaks at the sight. A clawed hand slaps at the ground, a tiny reptilian body shudders, and a kobold’s arm pushes the lump up. It gets to its knees, coughing now, a hand on her own stomach. She brings up more bile, not her own, but the sick stomach juices she was forced to swallow during her escape from the belly of the beast. She reaches her hand around her neck, rubbing the smooth scales underneath. No longer are they hindered by the magic dampening collar. She feels her natural bloodline flowing through her once again, like an old friend that she had missed for quite some time.

She sits on her knees now, rubbing the gore from her eyes and flicking chunks away in disgust. When she opens them, her vision is blurry at first, but she sees her hand before her. Wiggling her fingers, she feels the tingle of power come back to them. The spark of magic reignites as a tiny flame appears in her hand. But before her, there stands someone. Kret, finally feeling that she is not alone, feels the cool air of the audience chamber and she looks up to the man standing before her. The human man… the singing man… She furrows her brow and pushes herself up, stumbling to her feet, her back hunched, her teeth bared, and her eyes burning as she stares directly into his own. And from her rebirth from the maw of the snake, she has one word to say, which comes to her as a low and long growl. “You…!”

The bard’s eyes become tiny dots as the kobold’s words resonate through him. It’s inconceivable that he would ever see that kobold girl he conned ever again—let alone in Vijaya’s audience chamber. He never once imagined he’d see her eyes burning in hate, her very being radiating in magical power.

Vijaya’s voice wavers as he speaks up. “My pet…”

“You think you’re so big…” Kret says, ignoring the crime boss, twitching her fingers. “Using your fancy words, your winning smile, that tanned skin. Using all of that… to snag a few gold coins… You must be a real bad-ass, a real big man.”

Vijaya hisses with urgency. “Stop her! Go!”

In her awkward stance, Kret’s lips twitch, waiting for the perfect moment of weakness. The bard leans back, about to run, but she slings the spell she was preparing straight at him. Magical energy erupts from her fingers, her blood bubbling in her body as it provides her the magic necessary to cast the karmic spell against her quarry.

The bard flinches. He has no time to prepare a counter attack

from this surprise sorcerer. But even as magical energy lights the room with its powerful burst, a blur of a figure jumps in the way, taking the brunt of the damage.
